What I told people, I was making a podcast about Benghazi.
Nine times out of ten, they called me a masochist, rolled their eyes, or just asked why.
Benghazi, the truth became a web of lies.
From Prologue Projects and Pushkin Industries, this is Fiasco Benghazi.
What difference at this point does it make?
Listen to Fiasco Benghazi on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Write down our toll-free telephone number.
It's 800 nine four-one Sean if you want to be a part of the program.
One of the signatures, and we're now approaching the hundredth day that Donald Trump has been back in office.
That will be, what is it, Tuesday next week?
I believe Tuesday.
And I think one of the most successful, impactful, uh, and uh hundred first hundred days I've ever seen of any president since I've been following politics since I was a kid.
It has been that deep and profound.
Maybe the largest success by far is with immigration.
I mean, it's been like a 97% decline in unvetted illegal immigrants coming into our country, coupled with, in spite of the courts and and activist judges, uh, the deportation of criminal immigrants in this country.
Uh, there was an interesting uh piece in the Philly Inquirer today that a Philadelphia police officer escorted a Dominican national out of Philly's criminal courthouse into the custody of of U.S. immigration authorities last week after a judge had dismissed all criminal charges against the defendant.
Now, the Defender Association of Philadelphia, other advocates questioned what the apparent cooperation with ICE was all about, uh, especially because Philly has so-called sanctuary city policies.
Anyway, this guy arrested April 2nd, allegedly carrying a concealed firearm without a license in the city's in one of the city sections.
And according to police and court records, municipal court judge dismissed the felony charge for lack of evidence at the time.
He would have been free to go, but instead, according to the suspect's public defender, a sheriff and a court staffer instructed this individual not to leave because he was wanted by ICE agents, and then a police officer in the courtroom is escorted him outside to awaiting federal authorities, and he remains in an immigration detention center in Philly.
Which shows progress.
I mean, what we're watching unfold is is pretty remarkable.
I mean, we we first started with Van Holland.
Now you got these four Congresspeople, representatives that have made the trek to El Salvador in the hopes of getting every day, every single day, proof of life from the El Salvadorian uh president.
But yeah, you know, it's just fascinating to watch this obsession, and it and it's actually getting worse and worse.
Now you've got a bunch of other elected representatives in DC, this guy uh Brago Garcia that want to go over there and just for a little visit.
I know some of them, I know in the case of Van Holly defended The use of taxpayer dollars.
My understanding is maybe one or two or some of those congressmen paid their own way, which would be good.
Um, I don't want to pay one one red cent of this.
Now you've got a group of Democratic congressional representatives traveling to Louisiana to visit Mahmoud Khalil in a pair of federal detention centers uh as he faces potential removal from the United States.
Remember, he was the guy, Columbia University that was, you know, very loudly organizing these pro-Hamas uh rallies, and and frankly, what what turned out to be uh intimidation of Jewish students on the campus?
Khalil recently completed a graduate studies uh program at Columbia, uh, a Tufts University PAHD, and you know, and it's it's pretty unbelievable that these people are even in our country.
Hamas is a designated terrorist organization.
What is a designated terrorist organization?
What part of 9-11 have all of these people forgotten?
Because they seem to have forgotten.
And why is it that this new Democratic Party is championing the cause?
And in every almost every case, I can tell you, because I've I've actually spoken to Patty Morin.
I've spoken to Lake and Riley's family privately.
I never put them on the air to express my condolences, and Jocelyn Nungary's mom, Alexis, and Jocelyn's grandfather.
I mean, these families will never be the same again.
And it's interesting that Van Holland never once you had two Marylanders, Kayla Hamilton and Rachel Morin, brutally raped and murdered, never bothered to pick up a phone and call them.
You know, the Trump administration's mass deportation raids have nabbed more than 200 known or suspected terrorists since January, including one of India's most wanted terrorists who entered the country illegally in January of 2022, crossing from Mexico into Arizona,
was swiftly released into custody in the release from custody into the country by border patrol agents, as per the Department of Homeland Security under Biden, Harris, and Mayorcus.
And is this guy as one of his home country's most wanted men for for providing terrorist funds and recruitment and planning of a grenade attack on an Indian police station and on a retired cop's house with the intent to kill and instill fear among law enforcement officers, according to DHS.
Biden administration is to blame for allowing this individual to roam the country for more than three years.
And the Biden administration not only led a wanted terrorist into our country, but after he was arrested by border patrol agents, they release him again into the interior of the country.
You know, no wonder why we have all these instances of Americans that are murdered and raped and victims of other violent crimes.
No wonder we don't have a control over fentanyl and opioids and other drugs that are coming into our country that are killing our kids.
Even Atlantic Magazine, you wouldn't expect it from them, is admitting the incredible success of Donald Trump's border policies.
As a result, it'll be 100 years.
I'm sorry, 100 years, 100 days next week.
Next week that Donald Trump's been in office.
And this is probably what are you saying in my ear?
I can't hear you.
If you try to talk to me with my ear while I'm on the air, it is very distracting.
What would you like to say?
I'm very sorry.
It is April 30th, is a hundred days for the president.
April 30th.
What's today's date?
I have no idea.
No earthly ends.
Today's April 23rd, so a week from today.
A week from today.
Okay.
So Atlantic magazine, they're concluding that that the incredible success of Trump's border policies.
I'll give you an example.
Two illegal immigrants have been arrested after another Maryland woman was found murdered in the woods.
And, you know, again, why would Chris Van Holland he never called Rachel Morin's mother or family after this?
She was out for a jog, a mother of five, brutally raped and murdered.
Never call Kayla Hamilton raped and murdered, another Marylander.
And then makes this big deal about going to El Salvador.
And now these Congress people want proof of life.
A daily update, a proof of life.
Anyway, an illegal immigrant, another one in Maryland, Charged with murdering his girlfriend after a body found in a forest outside of D.C. The Charles County Sheriff's Office announced yesterday or earlier in the week that the 24-year-old Casey Barrera Rosa was charged with murder in the killing of his girlfriend, who was 23, reported missing on March 31st.
The alleged killer's uncle was charged as an accessory in this case.
And deputy said that the body was found on April 17th, uh 17th in a heavily wooded area of the forest just outside of Cedarville State Forest in Prince George's County in Maryland.
This this was the mother of two young children.
And that heinous crime, you know, not only devastated the community, but reinforced the urgent need to prioritize public safety.
And Van Holland has not lifted a finger.
You know, where's Chris Van Holland?
Immigration authorities arresting a Guatemalan national of Maryland for the murder of his girlfriend.
Where's Chris Van Holland?
Where was he for Rachel Moran?
Where was he for other Marylanders like Kayla Hamilton?
You know, it's uh how many more people have to die?
You know, what part of you know, two judges designating Garcia as an MS-13 member are they not quite understanding?
But this is your new Democratic Party.
They want to champion the rights of illegals to stay in our country.
And they're the very people in many instances, if not all, that can that can't pick up a phone and call people that they represent in their own states that are victims of murder.
How is that possible?
You know, now Republicans have been trolling Democrats, which I actually think is a good idea, and their El Salvador visits with an offer to foot the travel bill.
The NRCC has made the offer public.
Any takers have to provide real-time video evidence of their visit.
It's, you know, the out-of-touch Democrats that are so desperate to cozy up to violent gang members, the least they can do is to let Americans watch the show.
We'll pay for the plane tickets.
They just can't forget to smile for the camera when they sell out their constituents.
Ouch.
This is not going to end well.
Laura Ingram had on one of the Congress feet, well, a Congresswoman that actually was one of the four that went to El Salvador.
You know, and at one point is uh what's her name?
Representative and Sari.
And she said, I have a very strong pro-public safety record, and that's why I believe in the rule of law.
That's why this case is so important.
I think these questions are a distraction from the main issue, is that Donald Trump is defying the U.S. Supreme Court.
All right, so she goes on with Laura Ingram, obviously prepared talking points.
Now, here's the problem is what do you mean questions about dead Americans and Americans that have been raped and Americans that are victims of violent crime?
Are you incapable of having sympathy for?
And what did you do to help those families?
Because I was scrolling the names of dozens and dozens of Americans murdered and dozens and dozens raped and thousands of victims of violent crime during the entire campaign.
Anyway, the president of El Salvador also trolling uh Democrat Congressman Robert uh Representative Frost and anyway took to social media to roast Frost, one of the Democratic lawmakers who took the time to go to El Salvador to advocate for the release of the illegal immigrants, uh MS-13 gang members, Trend de Aragua.
Remember, these are designated now terror terrorist organizations.
And anyway, and they're just trying to pressure the Trump administration to retrieve Abrego Garcia.
And anyway, in a in a quote to the Latin American leader, he responded with a shrugging emoji to highlight the Congressman's apparent past of appearing to be gang affiliated on social media.
It's like he doesn't care.
And how do their priorities get so screwed up?
Now, the DOJ has unleashed unprecedented charges against Trend Aragua members.
And I'm telling you, it take I've known Pam Bondi for 30 years.
And uh I she Is a fierce prosecutor.
And you'll see this in action in very short order.
You're beginning to see it now.
And anyway, the acting U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York announced that they have charged a total of 27 current former Trend Aragua members under the Rico statute for the first time ever, marking a new development in how the federal government will prosecute these cartels.
Good.
Because they're designated terrorist organizations.
And so the Trump administration, I think, is right to pursue that and every other option available to them.
But if Democrats, if their decision is to champion a Brego Garcia and to champion this pro Hamas, you know, former Columbia student, then let them have at it.
If they want to be that party, if they want to be the party led by AOC, the squad, Jasmine Crockett, and Bernie Sanders, let them be that party.
If they want to be the party that's against, you know, secure borders, if they want to be let it let them be that party.
I'm all for it.
If they won't stand for mothers that lost children, and they hold the bingo cards, they can be that party too.
If they won't stand for a young man cured of cancer, they can be that party too.
If they won't stand for the wife of a slain officer hero, they can be that part.
Let them be that party.
Because it's not going to get them far with the American people.
You know, one Democratic senator visiting a detained Colombian activist who said that he can emphasize uh empathize with Hamas.
You can't make this up.
Congressman Peter Welch visited detained Columbia University activist.
This this guy calling him a friend and praising his work with Jewish brothers and sisters on Columbia's campus.
Oh, okay.
Well, this guy that he was visiting with could empathize with Hamas's decision to launch the attack and use the siren to drown out pro-Israel students protesting for the release of Israeli child hostages.
This is what the Democratic Party's now been reduced to.
Pretty amazing.
This is the hill that they want to die on.
Protecting and championing men's rights for women's sports, championing, you know, pro-Hamas sympathizers, championing designated MS-13 members, according to two court two different judges, you know, wanting open borders, putting that over your safety and your security, claiming it's a constitutional crisis.
If God forbid you save hundreds of billions of dollars in wokism and the Green New Deal abroad.
Anyway, 800-941 Sean is on number if you want to be a part of the program.
Hey there.
I'm Mary Catherine Hammond.
And I'm Carol Markowitz.
We've been in political media for a long time.
Long enough to know that it's gotten, well, a little insane.
That's why we started normally a podcast for people who are over the hysteria and just want clarity.
We talk about the issues that actually matter to the country without panic, without yelling, and with a healthy dose of humor.
We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we do take the truth seriously.
So if you're into common sense, sanity, and some occasional sass.
You're our kind of people.

What I told people, I was making a podcast about Benghazi.
Nine times out of 10, they called me a masochist, rolled their eyes, or just asked, why?
Benghazi, the truth became a web of lies.
It's almost a dirty word.
One that connotes conspiracy theory.
Will we ever get the truth about the Benghazi massacre?
Bad faith, political warfare, and frankly, bullshit.
We kill the ambassador just to cover something up.
You put two and two together.
Was it an overblown distraction or a sinister conspiracy?
Benghazi is a rosetta stone for everything that's been going on for the last 20 years.
I'm Leon Navok from Prologue Projects and Pushkin Industries.
This is Fiasco Benghazi.
What difference at this point does it make?
Yeah, that's right.
Locker up.
Listen to Fiasco, Benghazi on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Very interesting on the security front that we've got to pay attention to, because it's been three months now, the that the president approved military strikes that have killed 74 terrorist leaders who were planning attacks against Western targets, including the U.S., and John Solomon broke this story.
President Trump has ordered airstrikes and other operations during his first three months back in office that have killed 74 leaders of terrorist organizations plotting and planning and scheming attacks against Western assets and the U.S. homeland, uh Mike Waltz revealed to just the news.com in an interview that John did with him yesterday.
And Waltz gave the administration's most definitive accounting of the renewed U.S. counterterrorism operations, which lagged under Biden, and Waltz said the strikes have reached far beyond the Hooti rebels in Yemen.
We've also focused on groups like Al Qaeda and ISIS in the Middle East and Al Shabaab in Africa, he continued and confirmed that those terror attacks have active plans to strike our homeland after capitalizing on Biden open borders.
We know we have we have no we have known terrorists in the country.
Biggest problem is we don't know where they are.
And President Trump has eliminated seventy-four named terrorist leaders that the Biden administration would never go after.
And you add that to the 45 Americans who are being held hostage by various regimes and all of the hostages so far that Donald Trump has been able to negotiate the release of, I'd say that he's having a profound difference in less than a hundred days in office.
Now, what is interesting to watch, and you can read into this what you want, is the president has been ramping up America's military presence in the Middle East for potentially devastating strikes uh not just on the Hooti rebels, but you gotta get to the head of the snake.
And I know this gets controversial with people.
I do not believe America could ever go back and should ever go back to what happened in Iraq.
Number one, advanced military technology would not require uh American treasure to go door to door in Iraq, in Baghdad, stepping over IEDs and and trying to you know get to the bottom of all the nefarious activities that are happening there.
That's not how future wars are going to be fought.
And you see this kind of playing out in Israel.
I mean, when Reagan was president, they mocked the strategic defense initiative.
Oh, Star Wars.
Well, it's called the Iron Dome and it works.
One of President Trump's initiatives is an iron dome over this whole country, which may end up being one day his everlasting legacy, especially in light of advanced missile technology like hypersonics and more advanced weaponry than that.
And there's a lot of areas where we find ourselves behind and deficient in, which is why there's got to be a sense of urgency in creating the next generation of weaponry.
Anyway, so the president officially informed Congress that he's directed the Department of Defense to move additional forces equipped for combat into the Middle East as U.S. forces now carry out military strikes against Hooti militants in Yemen, but it's not just there.
Washington Times has a story today.
Iran is strengthening an underground tunnel network, storing its supply of enriched uranium and centrifuges, as revealed by new satellite photography from the Institute for Science and International Security.
Now, the worst thing about this and the great danger of this, and and I and I speak to those people, and I know you got more hawkish conservatives, and then you got other conservatives that are more Isolationist conservatives.
So you have people all across the spectrum here.
I kind of find myself, it's it's sort of like A squared B squared equals C squared.
If the world allows Iranian militants with a stated goal to wipe Israel and wipe the U.S. off the map, if they are allowed to get nuclear weapons, knowing that with all the money that they got rich on because Joe Biden turned a blind eye to sanctions,
and then funding and plotting and planning the attack on October 7th in Israel, 2023, but also providing the weaponry to Hamas Zbala, Islamic Jihad, the Houdi rebels firing their own missiles into Israel.
What do you think they're going to do with nuclear capability?
Now, according to published reports, even the IAEA, not particularly known to be accurate in terms of rightly identifying where Iran is in their nuclear weapons program, but it is believed to be in a very short period of time.
They're at 60% enrichment.
I don't think the Iranians should be allowed enrichment, period, end of sentence.
Now, you can give the Iranians a choice.
You could say you must stop all enrichment of uranium.
Because if they're at 60%, the jump to 90% enrichment, which is military grade enrichment, is can be can happen in the shortest period of time.
That is a real clear present danger for the entire world.
There's not one country in the Middle East that wants a nuclear armed Iran.
And now it's going to fall on the shoulders, uh shoulders of Israel.
Now the Israelis can, if they have to, if their survival is at stake here, and the Iranians have proven they want to destroy Israel.
If they have to, they could probably take out these nuclear facilities with a tactical nuke.
I don't think that would be the first option of choice by any stretch of the imagination.
But if their survival is in jeopardy, having known Prime Minister Netanyahu for over 30 years, Israel will do what it has to do to survive.
And if if I think the better option would be the bunker buster bombs.
Look, the Iranians, they might be evil.
The mullahs may be evil.
Their ideology is certainly evil.
But that doesn't mean that they're stupid and they've been able to enrich uranium.
There's no need for the Iranians to enrich uranium except that they want a nuclear weapon.
And according to sources and people that I've spoken to, they could have as many as 25 of them in a short period of time with just that additional push of enrichment to weapons grade enrichment.
And of course, they need a delivery system.
Where they are in that process, I simply don't know.
I really don't.
Anyway, so they're strengthening this underground tunnel network, its supply of enriched uranium centrifuges, as revealed, and I just said, and according to a Wednesday report from the Institute, updated satellite images of Iran now show new fortification efforts around the perimeter of the uranium storage site,
indicating that the country could be preparing to defend against a strike on their nuclear facilities and the creation of this perimeter around deeply buried sites all around the country.
And anyway, it suggests that Iran is increasingly worried about, well, I mean, we could figure out who.
It's not an individual or group seeking to enter the tunnel complex is undetected.
I think this is about Israel, and Israel is going to make a determination.
The United States is going to have to also similarly make a calculation.
Steve Whitcoff, the president's special Middle East envoy, has been very clear.
So has President Trump.
The Iranians cannot have nuclear weapons.
Now, do you run the risk that the Iranians are going to want to strike back if you take out the nuclear facilities?
Yeah, but at that point, you might as well take out their refineries and make sure that they can't have any money, which would probably lead to regime change.
I mean, when Trump left office, his sanctions had been so successful that there was there was growing animosity and a rising up of young people in Iran.
They don't want to live under these mullahs.
They don't.
They want regime change.
They want modernization.
Now the question is, will the world see this as the moment to stop them?
And I even have conservative friends of mine.
Don't do it.
I'm like, yeah, you take out the nuclear facilities, they're going to be angry.
They're going to want to attack back, but that threat already exists.
I have no doubt under Biden and Harris that Iranian terrorists are in this country already.
They will strike one way or the other, regardless of if their nuclear facilities are stopped.
That's that's just who they are.
I see that uh, well, as Mark Levin affectionately calls him, little Dickie Durbin, uh, is now retiring.
He's the second ranked uh Democrat in the Senate.
He announced that he will not seek re-election.
He's the Senate Democratic whip.
He has served in the Senate since 1996.
He made the announcement in a video message posted to social media.
A decision of whether to run for re-election has not been easy.
I truly love the job of being a U.S. Senator, but in my heart, I know it's time to pass the torch, so I'm announcing today that I will not seek re-election at the end of my term.
He's 80 years old, meaning he will leave office when his term expires in 2027.
The people of Illinois have honored me, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Blah.
That usually means that he doesn't really think that there's a good chance that Democrats are going to hold on to uh or get back a majority in the U.S. Senate.
But, you know.
Here's what I don't understand about the left.
There's a lot I don't understand about the left.
I don't understand their obsession with Garcia in El Salvador after two judges determined ascertain that this guy was a member of MS-13.
I his own wife and her own handwriting described him not once but twice as a wife beater.
I'm not sure why this is their cause to love.
I'm not sure why this guy Khalil, who openly supports Hamas, a designated terror organization, and and and his deportation.
I'm not sure of what they're thinking.
I'm not sure why they want men to have the right to play women's sports.
I'm not sure why they would put the rights of illegals that are non-existent over the safety of Americans.
I'm not sure what part of uh what has happened, the murdering and the raping and the violent crime against American citizens that they don't feel compelled to protect.
Now, there is a case, and it appears based on arguments that the Supreme Court will likely, you know, it's it's about a case that would require a Maryland school board to provide parents with the ability to opt their elementary school age kids out of instruction featuring storybooks that address gender identity and sexual orientation.
This drives me nuts.
You want to see Linda Bubble Fizz and pop off and say a lot of cuss words that she gave up for Lent but didn't really give up.
Just bring up issues involving children.
She'll lose her mind.
As should all of us.
You know, just like, oh, you're gonna give gender affirming care without parental consent.
Who the hell do these people think they are?
Just parents are not potted plants.
Stop messing with them.
For a hundred years, they were fine.
Just leave them alone.
Reading leave them alone.
Reading, writing, math, science, history, computers, and that's it.
And let mommy and daddy deal with values at home.
That's their job.
And anyway, so Brett Kavanaugh invoked the state's pounding, said the county in particular has been a beacon of religious freedom and tolerance.
And he echoed Alito saying, I'm not understanding why it's not feasible for schools to excuse children from instruction that violates their families' religious beliefs.
Forty-seven states in the District of Columbia allow for parental opt-outs or require opt-ins before students participate in sex ed.
I I don't want some woke DEI, Green New Deal, transgenderism advocate to be teaching my kids about things that I should be teaching them about.
My values instilled in my kids, not your values.
They're not your children.
Anyway, the Supreme Court does seem ready to side with Maryland parents in this particular case.
There was a heated moment with Sotomayor and Justice Alito during the arguments that took place.
And anyway, so Alito starts saying there was there's growing Sotomayor was trying to disagree with Alito's portrayal, and Olido pushed back and says, Can I finish?
Which I thought was pretty good.
And Sotomayor initially asked the one of the attorneys in the case about a book entitled Uncle Bobby's Wedding that included a same-sex relationship storyline.
Anyway, our parents would object, the lawyer said.
Anyway, Alito jumped in with additional questions, said, I've read the book as well as a lot of these other books.
Do you think it's fair to say that all is uh that all that is done in Uncle Bobby's wedding is to expose children to the fact that there are men who marry other men?
Then the guy, the lawyer objected to Alito's question, says the book has a clear message, and a lot of people think it's a good message with traditional religious beliefs, but they don't agree with it.
And then anyway, Alito tries to continue, and then Sotomayor interrupts.
Wait a minute.
The reservation is Alita goes, can I finish?
Kind of like what Linda does to me.
It has a clear moral message, and it may be a good message.
It's just the message that a lot of religious people disagree with.
How about, and by the way, a coalition of Jewish, Christian, and Muslim parents are the ones that brought this case.
Pretty interesting.
