This is an iHeart podcast.
Joe Biden's old.
I said, you know what?
Joe Biden is old.
Let's let's let's go ahead and accept the reality.
Joe Biden is old.
This party, we have a great Republican party with tremendous talent, and we want to have unity, and we're going to have unity, and it's going to happen very quickly.
And our conservative cause badly needs more people.
This is now his time for choosing.
The clock is ticking.
Only 242 days left till election day.
We are coming to your city.
Gonna play our guitars and sing you a conscious song.
From coast to coast.
From border to border.
From sea to shining sea.
John Kennedy is on.
Stay right here for our final news roundup and information overload.
All right, news roundup, information overload hour.
Here's our toll-free telephone number if you want to be a part of the program.
All right, so it's the state of the union tonight.
We'll be on immediately thereafter.
And by the way, Speaker Johnson will be on.
Ted Cruz will be on.
And hopefully you'll be with us.
But he can predict with a pretty high degree of certainty all the lies Joe will tell about the economy.
He will blame big business and greedy corporations and shrinkflation.
He will blame Republicans for the border, even though for three years he's lied and told us the border's secure and the border's closed.
And the list goes on and on and on.
And he'll make excuse after excuse after excuse.
The one thing I'm just telling people is this is the speech, the simplest, most basic, easiest speech for anybody to give.
So if you're expecting the normal Joe Biden, you know, mumbling, bumbling, stumbling everyday Joe Biden, now they've been hiding him for days, and he's been practicing for days and resting for days.
And I'm sure they've changed his schedule to get used to the later hour because I would guess pretty much everything I have that he's usually asleep by 9 p.m.
So they got to keep him up later than usual.
And I'm sure they've been working on that as well.
And anyway, so it's going to be very, very interesting.
But, you know, if you're listening to the propagandists over at MSDNC, I mean, the media mob is hilarious to me.
They really are.
I mean, you can't even make this up.
You know, Joe Biden says there's no way Coward Trump would be willing to debate Joe Biden strictly on policy.
Oh, he'd be willing.
And then he goes, F you, if you don't believe this, well, this is the best Biden ever.
And I've known him a long time.
I'm like, okay, if you really want to buy that morning, Joe, liberal Joe, go right ahead and you keep peddling that propaganda.
Good luck with that.
Now, here's a video.
There's a montage of Biden talking to actors and actresses who played presidents in the past, like Morgan Freeman and Gina Davis and Michael Douglas.
I'm like, okay, this is bizarre, but listen.
I never spoke to so many presidents all at one time.
Some of you might know what a big speech like I have to do is come up to State of the Union.
Any advice you have for me in my delivering my speech?
Well, sir, in my capacity as president, all I had to deal with was a meteor.
One of the things that I came out of that with my speech to people, hope, hope is the strongest voice we have on this stuff.
It is the most useful and the most effective.
My advice is just keep telling us how you're working for us.
and building hope.
In preparation for your speech, it's just there was one sort of piece of advice that meant a lot to me when I was president.
And so I just wanted to share that really quick with you.
Tell them that you exist for them.
Tell them that they make you a better man.
I do feel I should just point out one thing it always spares, remembering there's no crying in politics.
Well, what I hope is my politics doesn't make anybody else cry.
Mr. President, from my experience of being Commander-in-Chief, I learned that having a loving partner changes everything.
Love and compassion as a leader are strengths.
They're not weaknesses and are key to your character.
So let that shine through in your speech.
Wow.
Let's go to actors and played president.
When I was president, no, they were never president.
It is very predictable what's going to happen tonight.
I mean, I've already done, I've anticipated all the lies that Joe will tell about the economy, about the border, about the world situation, all the propaganda that he's going to spew.
Because the one thing Joe can't run on is his record.
And the one thing they can't say is, are you, you know, answer the question, are you better off than you were four years ago?
No, we're not.
By every measure.
And the polls bear this out.
And I've been going over them in great detail.
Roger Severino, Vice President of Domestic Policy at the Heritage Foundation, President Trump's former director of the Office of Civil Rights, and Kurt Mills, the executive director of the American Conservative, are here with their take on the mob, the media, their bias.
You know, one of the things I have been telling people, Roger, is this is the easiest speech ever going to give.
Ladies and gentlemen, a president of the United States will get announced, and then the doors will open, and they'll walk down the aisle, and they'll shake hands every, you know, you know, foot that he walks and turn from side to side.
And then if he can make it up the three little baby stairs up to the podium, he'll hand a copy of the speech to the vice president and the speaker of the house.
And then there's going to be, you know, deliver two, three, four lines and then stop for applause.
And that gives him time to rest and relax.
He's been practicing for a week.
He's been resting for a week.
And I don't expect you're going to get the best of Joe Biden tonight, the best that they can muster up.
And God knows how much caffeine and Red Bull and Etcrin extra strength that he might have in his system.
It's so funny that the stakes are so high on whether or not he's going to trip on the steps up.
And when people are shaking his hand, are they going to be holding him up to make sure he doesn't stumble?
And then how is he going to sound when he speaks?
We're at this point where some basic questions of physical and mental competency are the ones that everybody's going to be looking for before he even says a word.
And that just shows how far gone Joe Biden is, that he can't hide it anymore.
And I saw that video that you mentioned earlier where these fake presidents were giving advice.
And one thing I noticed was they all sounded more lucid than him.
Every single one of those actors, some of which are quite old, actually were stringing sentences together and seemed more personable.
And President Biden seemed so wooden and had this smile just plastered on his face as if he's a wax studio figure.
And the American people are going to probably see a lot of that tonight.
I think the stakes are high for all the wrong reasons.
Can he just do some of the basic things of speaking clearly and remembering where he is and who's around him and what he's going to say?
I mean, I guess, but I mean, he's been practicing for a week, sleeping for a week, resting for a week.
I just don't see that you, I mean, they have just basically taken him out of the game to prepare him for a one-hour speech that is the easiest to deliver of any speech you're going to give.
Kurt, your take.
Yeah, I mean, not to just loop back on this, but that was a totally frightening presentation, him talking to his sort of Hollywood war cabinet there.
It occurs to me that former President Trump always has to contend with the allegation that he's just a reality star.
But Biden is actually, in real life, eliciting or soliciting the expertise of actors and actresses who played the president.
I mean, it's just an astonishing thing that they think that they released that, and I think that that was very helpful.
I think it's also important to note, you know, much like my co-guest here just said, that this is the sort of Biden-proved sentient moment, which is just shows you how dramatically the stakes actually have been or how dramatically the bar has been lowered on if you just not, you know, effectively vomit out words that he's going to have a win tonight.
I do think he is constrained, however, by the radicalism of his own ranks.
You played the Saki MSNBC Madow clip.
They're in this parallel universe.
And if Biden tries to, who has been a centrist at different parts of his career, if he does try to reach out to the middle here or even to the right, they're going to complain that he's out of touch with reality.
So I think he's really in quite this pincer motion where he can't succeed.
All right, quick break.
We'll come back more of our preview of the state of the union tonight.
The list of lies that I'm sure will be told.
Roger Severino, Kurt Mills on the other side.
And then your calls 800-941-Sean.
All right, we continue now.
Our preview of tonight's State of the Union address.
We continue with Roger Severino and Kurt Mills is with us.
It's going to be interesting to me.
To me, I just am warning people that the regular Joe Biden, when he actually has to work, is just ill-equipped for the job.
And I just got to tell you something.
I'm not expecting a lot out of tonight.
I am expecting a lot of lies, Roger, because I don't think he has a platform that he can run on.
And I've been pointing that out in poll after poll after poll.
I've been mentioning he's viewed by the American people as having failed on all of the top issues of the day, even climate change.
Most Americans, an overwhelming majority, over 50% believe he's failed.
Helping African Americans, same issue.
The working class, nearly 60%, think he's mostly failed.
Improving our image around the world, 61% think he's failed.
The economy, same thing.
Making the U.S. safer, same thing.
Unifying the country, 69% said he's mostly failed.
Improving border security, yeah, whopping 71% said he's failed.
He did fail.
There's not one thing I can point to being objective that tells me that he's been a successful president.
Yeah, and the American people realize that the country is headed in the wrong direction, that 67% see America is on the wrong track.
And that has been consistent pretty much throughout his entire presidency.
And what's one of the reasons?
Well, 7.2 million illegal border crossings since he took office.
That's an extraordinary number.
The border, this is the worst border crisis in human history, right?
We have this flood of fentanyl, of coyotes, of sex trafficking, and it's hurting people.
Not only the immigrants, but we have a rise in violent crime.
We have the sanctuary cities are saying, no, we can't take any more people.
Kicking American kids out of school to make space for people who cross here illegally.
People have said enough is enough, and it's showing up in the fact that President Biden is not going to have anything to brag about.
Can he talk about the economy?
No.
We have massive debt, incredible inflation, which has not gone down.
Even Sesame Street characters are talking about true inflation.
And the cookies that the cookie monster is now seeing on his plate are smaller now because of inflation and cost cutting.
And, you know, rent, gas, grocery bills, these are the pocketbook issues the American people have been suffering with under the Biden administration.
I don't see a way that Biden could get around it with any fancy words at the State of the Union.
I don't think he's going to be, I don't think he even has an opportunity to tell the truth about any success that he's going to make.
And I think there's going to be a lot of finger pointing and blame and passing the buck.
And, you know, forget about the idea that the buck stops here.
It doesn't at all with Joe Biden.
Greedy corporations and shrinkflation, not Bidenflation.
Bidenomics, they tried to shove that down our throat, and that didn't work either.
Add to that their radical environmentalism.
I mean, if they implemented what they want to implement, shoving electric vehicles down the American people's throat, even though they're showing in the massive numbers, they don't want them, taking away people's gas stoves and taking away refrigerators and freezers and washers and dryers and air conditioners.
Never mind that they want to take away our red meat.
I mean, you know, God help us if these plans ever get implemented.
I don't even know what this country is going to look like if this guy's re-elected.
Kurt.
Yeah, I do just still think he's so constrained by his own propaganda.
I mean, it's an astonishing election we had in 2020 where Biden ascended the presidency by effectively running left in the general election.
And the consequence of that is that he is constrained by his own ranks and by the arguments that got him into the overall office four years ago.
Take Ukraine.
They really are arguing that Ukraine, control of provinces that no one's ever heard of or most Americans ever heard of, is the most important existential crisis of the time.
Climate change.
Again, he's in this weird situation where he's arguing it's the biggest threat to civilization.
And then by the polling numbers that you flagged, his own side doesn't think he's done enough.
The economics.
They really do believe this type of weird economy that is not super focused on the average middle-class American is this great thing.
And when people don't like it, they don't really have anything other than to do than to sound like Baghdad Bob, the sort of defender of Saddam Hussein as the coalition forces rolled in, to say it's all fine.
I do think Biden is going to try to wiggle and pivot.
And I think you're quite right that he's going to get some points for, you know, effectively how well-rested he is for this whole thing.
But the whole thing just feels so stale.
I mean, this is the fourth address to Congress now where people are looking to see if this guy's really there.
And I just don't think you see it.
And especially that his whole essential argument is juxtaposing himself with Trump and arguing that the most, you know, he's the more serious presidential candidate.
How do you define serious?
He doesn't seem very serious right now.
I just am telling you, nothing is going to negate it.
We will fact-check him immediately thereafter, a later edition of Hannity.
Obviously, the speech is going on at 9 o'clock.
Usually goes at least an hour and a half.
I don't know if Joe can stay up that late.
Maybe they'll shorten the speech to benefit him.
But that's why you haven't seen him for the most part for a week.
He's been, you know, hold away.
They're changing his schedule.
And, of course, he's been going over the speech ad nauseum.
And every report I'm reading is his staff is scared to death.
And they should be.
Who knows what he's capable of tonight, but it's still the easiest speech you're ever going to give.
800.
Thank you both.
Roger, thank you.
And Kurt, thank you.
800-941-Sean is our number.
25 now to the top of the hour on this preview of the State of the Union tonight.
800-941-Sean, our number.
We'll get to your calls in a minute.
I've been talking for months now about the Knox entry system and how it helps law enforcement gain access that they need to schools when moments count, seconds count even, during hostile events.
In fact, more than 200 municipalities now are trusting the Knox entry system to provide a secure and efficient means to get access where and when they need it.
Now also businesses, airports, they have joined schools, law enforcement, fire departments around the country, all using the Knox entry system to manage first responder access and or authorized service activity so they can better protect and monitor your critical assets.
Knox Entry allows you to develop a customized access strategy complete with an audit trail and rapid flexibility.
If your company has important assets that you want to better protect, contact our friends at Knox Today for more information about the innovative Knox entry system.
Just go to Knox.com, Knox.com, that's K-N-O-X.com.
All right, let us get to our busy, busy telephones, shall we?
Chris is in New York.
Chris, how you doing?
Good to talk to you.
What's going on?
Good to talk to you too, Sean.
Listen, I know everybody's encouraging people to vote early, but I specifically live in Manhattan.
Okay, and I know you're going to say this is the system we have and it's not perfect, but that's not my question.
If you live in a place where you know your vote's going to be counted by biased Democrats, should you still vote early or should you vote in person?
You know, New York City is a very, it's a very unique environment unto itself.
You got Democrats outnumbering Republicans 10 to 1.
But with all that said, I just am a strong believer that it's your civic responsibility, unless you're sick, unless something's happening and an emergency comes up, you really got to vote.
I really believe that.
And is it the system we trust that has the most integrity, that we have the most confidence in?
No.
Can that system be changed?
Yes, but it can only be changed once enough Republicans are elected and committed to changing it.
And I know some states have made adjustments to voting to instill more integrity and confidence in the results, but not enough of them.
My advice to everybody, even if you're in New York City like you are, is to just get out there and vote and at least do your part.
I mean, certainly we can't hold you responsible if things go awry, but I would still recommend you vote.
I think it's too important, and you never know.
I mean, things are getting so bad in New York City.
I could see a moment where New Yorkers might say they've had enough.
They're tired of the lawlessness.
They're tired of the billions of dollars being given to people that didn't respect our borders, our laws, our sovereignty.
They're tired of sanctuary city status, and they want life to return to normal.
They're tired of turning on their TV and seeing victims of crime or police officers getting beaten up.
And the only way that's going to change is if they say, you know what, this isn't working.
We need other people.
And enough people at the right point, right inflection point, maybe can elect another Rudy Giuliani.
Rudy Giuliani did the impossible.
He took New York when it was just an absolute Adam shiff hole.
And he turned it around.
And he did an amazing job as the mayor of New York.
Amazing.
And then he became America's mayor on 9-11.
He was the right man in the right place at the right time.
And he showed great heroism, great strength, and great leadership.
And that's something that, you know, I'll always be grateful for because I was there.
And I watched.
And I pray to God that Joe's open borders don't result in what I'm predicting probably will be a result of this.
I hope and pray that there are not terror cells in this country.
Intellectually, I can't get there.
I don't think I'm wrong.
But, you know, I pray to God this country doesn't wake up under attack like we were that day.
I mean, it is so etched in my memory.
The days that that day and the days thereafter, I'll never forget them as long as I live.
And I don't want to ever see anything like that happen in our great country ever again, ever.
Anyway, my friend, appreciate the call.
Hope it answers your question.
Let us say hi to Dustin in Oklahoma.
Dustin, hi.
How are you?
Glad you called.
Thank you.
Appreciate you taking the phone call.
And, you know, Sean, I know you're a big MMA fan.
I know you train it.
I know you love the UFC.
And, you know, I want to ask you a favor.
Maybe you could come out here to Tulsa, Oklahoma.
See, I'm a firefighter for the Tulsa Fire Department, been with Firefighter almost 20 years.
And we put on one of the biggest MMA charity events between some of the bravest firefighters throughout the country and the finest police officers throughout the country.
And, you know, unfortunately, the past couple years, the firefighters have been pumping up on the police officer.
So I was thinking, maybe you could come out and, you know, be my guest, sit next to me.
But maybe you could give some pointers to the cops on how to beat the firefighters.
The problem, I was explaining this to a caller yesterday, and I told my sensei when I was training this morning, and he hadn't heard it, and he was very interested in it.
And for example, there are people like he himself has trained, I think he has 11 or 12 black belts.
I don't really remember in varying arts.
And he is a student of the arts.
My training is a lot different than your typical MMA training where you're going to be in the octagon and you're going to fight it out and it's going to be grappling and where there are rules.
The type of training and the type of art that I'm learning, and I'm a student, and I really want to put emphasis on that.
I don't want to sound like an expert here, but it's an eclectic blend of many arts, starting with Krav Maga, Kempo, Japanese Jiu-Jitsu, situational street fighting.
We do boxing.
We also train with sticks, blades, firearms, and self-defense, but it's situational.
And unfortunately, what he's teaching me is not usable in an octagon because there's rules in an octagon.
If you're in a fight for your life to protect your family, there are no rules.
My training is extraordinarily violent.
It is about blinding, breaking things, and winning as quickly as possible.
And it is real situational self-defense.
I'll tell you right now, and I say this with just complete honesty and confidence, I never want to have to use that which I have trained in in my life.
My sensei always says you fight the way you train.
And for example, when he's with me together and we have keeping it real day, we call it.
I mean, he is attacking me just like I would be attacked on the street one day.
Every situation imaginable.
And then he wants to see my reactions.
And obviously, there's not full-on contact because if it is, you know, we have targeted strikes of, you know, that would go for somebody's eyes.
Listen, one thing I would tell women, for example, and I've had my daughter train.
She's the only person I know that laughs as she's hitting a heavy bag or doing some type of strikes in the dojo.
She just smiles the whole time.
And I'm like, will you please get serious?
And she can't help it.
It's hilarious.
But I would run away rather than if I could get away for the sake of everybody involved, I would get away.
And if people said, hey, oh, look at Hannity, he's a coward.
I would look in the camera with confidence and say, yeah, if that's what you want to believe, believe that.
Because it's too deadly.
But a woman that's under attack, you know, one of the most effective things a woman can do, if a guy gets on top of you and you take your thumbs and you put it right into their eyeballs and you try to rip them out, guess what's going to happen?
That guy's going to grab his eye.
And that will give you time to escape.
Remember, in a case where somebody is that much stronger than you, your goal isn't to win a fight.
Your goal is to escape with your life.
You know, we tell people all the time, and I know when he trains women that want self-defense lessons, if you are going, if you're in a situation where somebody's trying to kidnap you and get you in a car, you've got to know ahead of time that you're going to die right there in that spot before you ever get in that car.
And he'll ask people, do you believe in God?
Yes, I believe in God.
I'm a Christian, for example.
Okay.
You believe in Jesus?
Yes, I do.
Okay.
So either you're going to meet Jesus on that street, but you're not getting in the car because the odds are if they get you in that car, 99%, you're never going to be seen or heard from again.
That's what the odds tell us.
So, I mean, that would be one area of training that I go through.
Now, think about that.
That would not be allowed in any octagon with any referee.
There's no rules in the way we train.
Yeah, I think the Oklahoma Athletic Commission might put a hold on some of those things that you might suggest to the police officers.
But, you know, the real goal of it all is when they get into that ring is if they're raising money for Firefighters Burn Camp and Special Olympics of Oklahoma.
And they have done just a phenomenal job in the nine years that we have put this event on and over $400,000 that they have gave back to these charities.
So much love.
I'll tell you what.
You know what?
Let me put it up on our website.
And if people are in the area, hopefully around Oklahoma, they come out and support you.
And we wish you the best with it.
I think it's a great thing that you're doing.
And I only support your efforts.
I appreciate that.
We will be live streaming as well.
So this is on a national level.
So any help.
All right, great.
Appreciate it.
All right.
Linda, stay on hold, and we'll take care of that.
Did you see that Mike Tyson is coming out of retirement and he's going to fight, I think, with a Cowboys play, Cowboys Stadium, if I'm not mistaken.
And it's going to be on Netflix.
He's going to fight Jake Paul.
How old is he?
Jake Paul.
Was he 27 years old?
He's younger than Mike Tyson.
That's for dang sure.
By 30 years.
Mike, I think, is 57 years old.
I mean, if you're a young guy, that's a huge advantage.
However, I would never underestimate Mike Tyson.
Yeah, I mean, I'm not really into the age thing.
I think if you're, you know, you take care of yourself and your body is healthy and you work out.
I mean, I know a lot of, you know, what?
Linda.
He's 57 years old.
This guy is a little bit more.
So let me finish my sentence and then you can tell me I'm wrong because I think you'll agree with me when I'm done.
There are 25-year-old people who are heavy smokers, heavy drinkers, vape all day, smoke pot all day, never worked out a day in their life.
And they're going to go up against somebody like Mike Tyson and he's going to kick the crap out of them.
Now, obviously, this isn't Jake Paul, but my point is, is that it's not always an age thing.
It's how you take care of your body.
And Mike Tyson is a beast.
I mean, I wouldn't throw him down the steps just yet.
You know, I really felt bad for him and I defended him.
And guess what?
He happened to see the show when, remember that guy came up to him on a flight and started.
I remember.
I'm like, why don't you leave him alone?
The guy started the problem with Mike Tyson.
And Mike Tyson kind of hit him.
And I'm like, good for him.
He has a right to.
In that situation, in my opinion, I thought he had a right to defend himself.
I'm like, why would you do that to somebody?
Why do people feel that they can be rude to public figures?
And I don't understand it.
I have run into situations with people that I have openly criticized, don't like, that I know hate me.
And usually I'll say hello.
If I don't want to say anything, I don't have to say anything.
I've even been in situations where you've been there and I sent drinks over to competitor cable channels just for kicks and giggles, just to be nice.
That's all.
Why would I bother them while they're there having a meal with somebody?
It's not my place.
I just believe that we should be respectful of other people.
And if I'm not in a situation where I'm on air with them, then what's the reason?
What's the point?
Yeah, but most people aren't like that, Sean.
Most people are jerks and most people are in it for themselves.
Everybody's got their phone out.
And I think the most frightening thing I see today, and I really pay close attention to it, is instead of helping you, they'll videotape it first.
And police or emergency situations.
They're like, why did you help?
I was videotaping.
Why?
It's just odd.
I don't know.
I don't know what it is.
It's probably has a lot to do with my training.
But when I'm in confrontational situations where people try to get confrontational with me, the first thing I do is create space.
And the next thing I do is diffuse.
I become very calmer.
I just become very calm and just very measured in my tone.
And just, sir, if you don't mind, I'm with my family or I'm with my friends.
I wish you a great day.
This is not the appropriate place to discuss it.
And they're going to get in my face and they're going to, you know, don't push me too far.
I've actually said to people, you've heard me, Linda.
I've said to them, please, I'm begging you, don't make me hurt you.
I don't want to hurt you.
And you see people's faces.
They look at you like you're insane when you say that.
You've seen it, correct?
I have.
I usually follow it up with a nice like, why don't you go back to mommy or piss off?
I find those things work really well, too.
You cannot help yourself.
You are, you are just, you are just.
Unfortunately, we're out of time, so you don't have to hear any more of my responses.
All right, that's going to wrap things up for today.
Hannity tonight, well, right after the State of the Union address, will Joey make it through?
The big question, the over, the under.
Anyway, we'll check in with the Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, Senator Ted Cruz, Senator Marco Rubio, Congressman Jim Jordan, Charles Payne, Pete Hagseth, and Tudor Dixon.
Just set your DBR for, well, just set it for 9 Eastern because that's what I'm usually on, but we'll be on right after the State of the Union.
All coming up tonight on Fox.
We'll see you then back here tomorrow with Reaction and your calls on the Friday edition of the Sean Hannity Show.
