This is an iHeart Podcast.
We're coming to your city.
Joe Biden's old.
I said, you know what?
Joe Biden is old.
Let's go ahead and accept the reality.
Joe Biden is old.
This party, we have a great Republican party with tremendous talent.
And we want to have unity.
And we're going to have unity.
And it's going to happen very quickly.
And our conservative cause badly needs more people.
This is now his time for choosing.
The clock is ticking.
Only 142 days left till election day.
Yeah, we're today.
Coast to coast.
From border to border.
From sea to shining sea.
Sean Kennedy is on.
All right.
Thanks, Scott Shannon.
And our two Sean Hannity show, toll-free.
It's 800-941 Sean.
If you want to be a part of the program, it's always an honor, a privilege, and a pleasure to welcome back to the program my governor now.
As I have made the complete move to Florida, the free state of Florida, Governor Ron DeSantis is with us.
Governor, welcome back.
How are you, sir?
I'm doing really good, Sean.
How are you doing?
I don't know.
I'm doing great.
Ever since I moved down here, people have never been nicer.
I can't even describe in detail.
I think you might get a little kick out of this.
And I know you've been to New York because you've been in my New York studios at the time, but the people everywhere I go just couldn't be nicer to me.
That is not something I experienced in New York City.
I assure you, that rarely happened.
Difference going from a deep blue city to a red state.
I mean, Florida had been a swing state for a long time.
My most recent election in 2022, you know, we won by a million and a half votes, and we even turned counties like Palm Beach red for the first time in 40 years.
And I think that's partially because people are moving towards us, but also the migration has been more conservative than not.
And so there's a variety of factors, but the reality is, is that Florida is a great place to be.
Obviously, we're leading on policy and showing the country how it's done and all that.
And it's also a good quality of life.
And we support our law enforcement like you do.
Not that they always do that in the blue cities, but certainly in Florida we do.
And we get a lot of people that, I mean, you know, you look to think about it.
You'll have people that'll be FDNY, Port Authority, New York PD, and they'll qualify for a pension, and then they move to Florida and they spend it all in our state.
So we're recipients of that.
So we're happy with it.
I think that's a great move.
I know you've had a lot of outreach to law enforcement.
If you don't feel like you're treated well in whatever city or state, blue state you're working in, please come to Florida.
My understanding is that recruitment went very well.
Yeah, so we've been doing $5,000 signing bonuses and we've had thousands of officers come from all over the country.
The legislature is in session now.
They're going to pass the budget on Friday and we're going to have that program re-upped.
So we're going to continue to do it.
You know, it hit me how different Florida's approach was some of the blue states.
I was in Southern California and one of the city, local cities there, police chief, greeted me and I was like, how you doing?
And he's like, I'm doing great, but all my police officers want to move to Florida now.
And that's from Southern California, which would not have been the case 20, 30 years ago.
But I think people look at it and they say, yes, obviously you want to have a nice quality of life, and we're proud of that in Florida.
And yes, we have good policies, which we're also proud of.
But, you know, the communities in Florida authentically support law enforcement and first responders.
In some of these places like Seattle and Chicago, they get treated horribly by some of the politicians and some of the activists in the community.
You don't see that in Florida.
You have genuine appreciation for the job that these guys do.
Years ago, we did for about three years in a row, we carried and investigated spring break in Panama City Beach in Florida, and it was way out of control.
Crime was out of control.
Drug overdoses were out of control.
Drinking was out of control.
I mean, it was just an absolute mess.
And I know I got a couple of bar owners at the time really pissed off at me.
And I'm like, I'm sorry, but kids, they literally were being targeted by criminals from even outside of Panama City Beach to go after them and bring in drugs that they're like manufacturing in laboratories in their basements, which is insane.
And these kids were being targeted in many ways.
And in the end, Panama City Beach, they changed the laws.
I noticed that you had made a very strong decision that Miami now being a popular destination for young people in spring break, you're not going to let it get out of hand down there.
Yeah, so, you know, I think post-COVID, Florida was like the place everyone has gone.
And Miami Beach in particular has had a couple spring breaks where it's really gotten out of hand.
They've then called in Florida State to come help with that, which we were happy to do.
But this year, I said, you know what?
Let's just get ahead of this.
So I work with the mayor down there who's actually very, very good on law and order.
And he has a plan.
We said, whatever you need, we're going to have people there.
So we now have this more proactively working with the locals, which I think is great.
And look, Florida's great.
Have fun.
We want people to have fun, but we're not going to let unruly mob violence or anything like that happen.
And so it's a good approach.
And, you know, you mentioned some bar owners may say this or that.
The overall effect, though, of what was going on in Panama City back in the day and what's happened in Miami Beach occasionally recently, it actually is bad for business.
That is not good for business.
You want people to have a good time, but you've got to maintain law and order.
Panama City has done fantastic since that.
And I remember when you were exposing that back in the day.
And Miami Beach is the same way.
I mean, they've really boomed in the last several years, but you've got to do it the right way.
So we're approaching it good.
The community's happy, and the local businesses are happy, and the residents are happy because, you know, it's one thing.
March in Florida, apart from, and this is not even students necessarily.
This is just people coming.
Look, people come.
It's great.
But it gets really, really busy.
And it's just important that that maintains, that we maintain order.
So we're all in to help the locals, and I think it's going to make a difference.
You talked about the mass migration out of deep blue states like New York and New Jersey and California to states like Florida, Texas, the Carolinas, Tennessee.
They've been the biggest beneficiaries, if you will.
And I don't even think Florida's close to the end of this.
Baby boomers have still yet to retire.
I mean, you've got another decade, I think, of migration coming to Florida.
I mean, that's going to do wonders for the economy in your state, our state.
And I think that's going to be just great for people as long as they leave their ridiculous left-wing politics where they came from.
And obviously, it's something that you'll pay attention to.
Not much you can do if liberals want to move to your state.
I just hope they learn their lesson from the states they came from.
Well, that was always the fear, though, when we've always had New Yorkers move down, Midwesterners move down.
That's normal.
Now it has accelerated.
But when we started seeing the California license plates, a lot of Floridians got spooked about that because they were worried about the voting patterns.
But what's happened is when I got elected governor in 2018, there were 300,000 more registered Democrats than Republicans in Florida.
And truth be told, we had never had more registered Republicans than Democrats in the history of Florida.
Fast forward to today, five and a half years later, we have 850,000 more registered Republicans than Democrats.
And so that tells me two things.
One, people are much more likely to shift from D to R or independent to Republican than vice versa in Florida.
You can look at like Miami.
Yes, there's been there.
Palm Beach, yeah, sure.
Naples, Southwest Florida, of course, Tampa, St. Pete, Orlando, villages, Panhandle.
It's really everywhere has experienced growth.
And so it's not just one pocket of the state.
So I think that's why we have an engine going forward.
We have no income tax, which I know you're very well aware of.
But here's the thing.
There will never be a need to do.
And I would never support an income tax.
But you've got to think who could get elected 10, 20 years down the road.
We have the lowest per capita debt, state debt in the entire country.
Our budget's half of New York's budget.
We have the smallest government per capita in the country.
And yet, our roads are better than New York, our services are better, and our education is better.
So it just shows you so much of what these blue states tax and spend on are not things that ultimately are making a difference.
You know, when you did the debate with Gavin Newsom, we brought up a lot of those statistics.
For example, the FBI statistic that twice the violent crime in California than in Florida.
And I know that he kind of ducked and dodged and bobbed and weaved around a lot of the facts, but you can't dispute them.
And speaking of which infrastructure, I can speak from experience.
The infrastructure in Florida is infinitely better than New York.
They can learn a lot from Florida, considering you have more population.
You take in about half the amount of money that they take in, and their infrastructure is garbage.
Look at California now.
They're facing a $70 billion budget deficit now.
And I don't know how they get out of that.
They're already taxing people at 13.5% state income tax.
And even couples that don't make that kind of money, the, quote, wealthy, the rich, I mean, if you make 84 grand a year, you're paying a 6% state income tax.
That is a large amount of money for a very expensive state to live in.
Oh, California, if you're middle class, you get hammered.
You know, the Mark Zuckerbergs of the world, they're kind of immune from the tax rates.
Like, they can kind of do that in Silicon Valley.
And so California can get away with raising taxes on kind of that uber wealthy.
But it's the middle class, people making 85, 100, 125,000 that are just getting absolutely killed.
Meanwhile, if you're just on government assistance, they give government assistance to illegal aliens.
You get health insurance.
You get all this other stuff.
And that's another thing that we're doing.
I'm going to sign legislation over the next month or so to really counteract Florida ever going in the direction of California on things like homelessness.
So as you know, we have cities that get elected and cities can govern themselves and there's certain state laws.
But we don't want a city to turn into a Los Angeles or San Francisco with respect to having homeless everywhere.
So we're doing legislation and saying you're not allowed to have homeless camps take over streets, take over in front of businesses, any of that.
The far left is really upset about it.
But, you know, people across the political spectrum are like, yes, you can't have this intrude on the quality of life for everyday residents.
And what they've done in California is basically let the inmates run the asylum.
People want to use drugs in public.
They commit crimes in public.
And somehow policy benefits them rather than benefit the people that are working hard for a living.
It's interesting to watch.
I've read a Wall Street Journal article about Ken Griffin and Citadel and how Miami is very quickly becoming Wall Street South.
I think in the end it will supplant Wall Street and the new Wall Street's going to be in Miami.
And we'll watch and wait and see over time.
Let me make a transition here to some national politics.
I did see your comments.
Everybody that was on the debate stage during the primaries, they made a pledge that whoever the eventual nominee is, that they would end up supporting.
And then Nikki Haley over the weekend kind of signaled that no matter how Super Tuesday went, that she didn't feel beholden to that promise she made.
And you were fairly critical of it.
Well, look, we all did that knowing what that meant.
And you could either do it or you didn't have to sign it.
And so if you signed the pledge, we're at the point now where you got to make good on the pledge.
And so she knew that.
So the idea that somehow it's no longer operative, I just don't understand that.
I mean, she could have not signed it to begin with, but she chose to do it.
And to me, it's just, you got to take your ball and go home.
I mean, we have a process.
It's certainly not perfect, but it is what it is.
And you either want to go forward or you don't.
So we'll see what she ends up doing.
But I just think the idea that somehow that you're released from that just because you feel like it, then what's the purpose of doing it in the first place?
All right, quick break.
We'll come right back more with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
And then your call's coming up 800-941-Sean as we continue on the State of the Union Address Day.
We continue now with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is with us.
Let me ask you if you agree with me.
I have been probably more than anybody else in the media pointing out Joe Biden being weak and frail and really a cognitive mess.
And I think it has gotten progressively worse, especially in the last three plus years.
And it's unfortunate because the world, our enemies, are seeing an America and an American president in decline.
And so he's going to give the State of the Union address tonight.
And I'm like, don't expect them to trip and fall and mumble and bumble and stumble like usual because it's the easiest speech to ever give.
You basically read off a teleprompter, two or three lines, and your side will stand and clap and hoot and howl and give you time to rest, recover, get a drink of water, and start all over again.
I don't think to me, and I've given a lot of speeches.
You've given a lot more than me.
I can't think of an easier speech to give.
Do you agree with me?
Well, you are basically just reading off the teleprompter.
That's what he'll be doing.
And obviously, they're going to have him hopped up on probably a lot of different medications to make sure he gets through the speech okay.
The one thing I would say, though, is yes, there's no memory recall that's necessary.
You can just reread it.
But typically a state of the union goes about an hour.
So that's going to be a long time for him to be up there and doing that.
And I think people are going to be watching to see, does he look like he can do this at all?
Or does he start breaking down?
And I'm not convinced he can just get through an hour long.
And you're right, there has been a decline over the last three years, but I think the last year in particular has been really, really brutal for him.
And I think people have obviously taken notice.
And you got a lot in the media that are trying to gaslight saying somehow he hasn't lost a step.
The public just doesn't buy that.
I mean, you can tell people one thing, but if they see it with their own eyes and they see this guy flailing around, that's what they're going to go with.
So I do think it's a challenge of whether he can get through a full one-hour long address without any major stumbles.
Well, they've been resting him the entire week, prepping him the entire week, changing his sleep schedule the entire week.
If he messes this up, then they're really in trouble.
But we'll be watching.
Governor, appreciate you always being willing to come on the program.
And thank you for your time, sir.
Okay, God bless.
Take care.
800-941-Sean, our number.
If you want to be a part of the program, we'll hit the phones when we get back.
John Kerry, making America Green, one Learjet liberal flight at a time.
You just can make this stuff up.
Sean Hannity is on right now.
All right, 25 now to the top of the hour.
We'll get to your calls here in a second.
800-941-Sean, if you want to join us, you want to be a part of the program.
You know, God forbid you're out on the road.
Look, new cars are expensive.
Used cars are expensive.
And these are tough economic times in spite of the lies Joe Biden will tell you tonight.
And of course, the buck won't stop with him.
He's going to blame greedy corporations and shrinkflation and blah, blah, blah.
It's all nonsense.
No, it is his burdensome regulations, his economic policies that have created all of this.
But it's impacting people.
It's impacting your transportation.
People are delaying getting a new car, and that means you're taking your old car and you're driving it longer.
And that raises the risk that one day you may be out on the road with your family and your car is going to break down and you're going to hear that, well, noise, whatever that noise is, and you're going to be stuck.
That's where Car Shield comes in.
Now, the thing with Car Shield is all you have to do is make the call now before your car breaks down.
Now, not only will they provide roadside assistance, but they will pay all the expense of repair costs on your out-of-warranty car, truck, or SUV.
And once you get a rate from CarShield, well, that rate will never go up as long as you own that car.
And with CarShield, you get protection on over 5,000 major parts and systems.
It's simple to make the call, get your quote, get your 20% off by mentioning my name.
It's 800-587-5060.
And that means if your engine seizes up, they're going to fix it, no cost to you.
That means your transmission, same thing, electronics, same thing.
Anyway, the cost of new parts and labor is just absolutely out of reach for so many Americans.
Most people don't even have $1,000 in the bank.
If God forbid an emergency happens.
Anyway, call now, toll-free.
Mention my name, 800-587-5060.
On the web, it's carshield.com/slash Hannity.
All right, let me, before we get to your phone calls here, 800-941-Sean, this was pretty interesting.
Now, the attorney, going back to my former state, so Letitia James was giving a speech to FDNY firefighters and didn't go particularly well when she was drowned out by chance that were pro-Trump.
to this and if you want to talk about more new york news in terms of a final reversal come to new york New York City is a sanctuary city.
Come to New York.
We welcome everybody.
We don't care where you come from.
Well, their liberal governor, Kathy Hochle, yeah, is having a change of tune, and it's gotten very expensive for New York, and they don't know what to do and billions of dollars to take care of Joe's unvetted illegal immigrants from around the globe.
And things have gotten unsafe in the streets of New York.
You see, you know, we now see cops getting beaten up regularly.
Anyway, she deployed a thousand National Guardsmen and state police to carry out bag checks if you want to go into the New York City subway system.
Listen to her.
I'm redeploying nearly 1,000 members of the New York State Police, MTA police, and MTA National Guard to conduct bag checks in the city's busiest transits.
You'll start seeing them at the tables, making sure that weapons are not being brought in, working in concert with our New York State police, as well as our NYPD.
Because no one heading to their job or to visit family or go to a doctor appointment should worry that the person sitting next to them possesses a deadly weapon.
It's just sad.
You know, all of this is preventable, every bit of it, but they're not preventing it.
800-941-Sean, our number, you want to be a part of the program.
Daniel in the great state of Georgia.
Daniel, hi, how are you?
What part of Georgia are you from?
I'm actually in the city of Athens, home of where that Bulldogs.
And also the home, sadly, where Lake and Riley was out running and was murdered by this Venezuelan illegal immigrant that should have been deported because law enforcement had already taken him into custody.
Well, yeah.
I mean, he got out in New York and then he was arrested here in Athens.
And then he got let out there and never showed back up for his court appearance.
Of course, he's not going to show back up for his quarter appearance from stealing from a retailer here.
But the thing is, we had a special rally to show our support for Lake and Riley on the footsteps of City Hall on Tuesday night to prior to.
I didn't see that one.
I saw the one that took place at the University of Georgia.
The crowd size was massive.
Was this one massive as well?
Yeah, the police were doing their best to keep people out of the street, so it kind of had to wrap around to the side sidewalks.
And of course, anti-protesters across the street were doing their thing too to try to drown us out.
How could you be an anti-protester?
What does that mean?
What, you're okay with the fact that this young woman, this young nursing student with all the promise of a beautiful life before her, you know, was murdered?
Yeah.
I mean, what is a counter-protester?
What are they counter-protesting?
I had a counter-protester get in my face and say that the illegal immigrants or illegal aliens deserve rights too.
And I said, oh, so Lake and Riley didn't deserve the right to live.
And she said that, you know, it doesn't matter.
She couldn't counter back and say that that was what she agreed on.
I said, oh, I said, but do you want equal justice?
Guess what?
I want equal justice for Lake and Riley and her family.
And I'm going to tell you one thing, Sean, and I'm going to let you go because I know you have a busy show, but I am going to make sure that they know her name.
I bet you the president will not say her name tonight during that speech, but I will be sitting in that courtroom.
I will stand outside that courtroom.
I will stand on the steps of the courthouse with a sign and a t-shirt, and I will not let her name go absent during this trial because I want her name to be known.
And I want justice for Riley just like the rest of most of our community does.
I know I can only imagine how this young woman's parents and family and friends feel.
I don't know.
There's certain things in life, if you try to put yourself in other people's shoes, if you will, or position.
I don't know.
There's certain things that I don't think I'd recover from.
And I think this is one of them.
How do you recover from that?
How does life ever become normal again?
I don't think it does.
And for all these, the fact that people would be there counter-protesting is beyond disgusting and repulsive, almost, you know, just like these idiots over at MSDNC, you know, chuckling about, oh, the number one issue in Virginia turns out to be illegal immigration.
Well, talk to the parents of a 14-year-old girl raped by an illegal immigrant in Virginia.
They weren't from West Virginia, Rachel Maddow, or Circleback Jensaki, or Joy Reed.
No, they were in Virginia.
I am so tired of the arrogant elitism, the ivory towers that all of these, you know, overpaid, including me, you know, people on TV, except I'm not out of touch.
You know, elitist, the way they think.
I mean, how asinine is that?
Go talk to the parents.
Go talk to Lake and Riley's parents.
Just put yourself in the position of being that parent.
Can you really be that cold-hearted and ignorant and stupid?
Can you be that dumb to look and know that we have unvetted illegal immigrants from the number one state sponsor of terror, Iran, from our number one geopolitical foe, China, tens of thousands, number two geopolitical foe, Russia in the tens of thousands?
People from Egypt, home of the Muslim Brotherhood, Afghanistan, home of al-Qaeda.
How stupid are these people?
Or blind or ignorant or insulated?
It's unreal.
It really, I'm very angry over all of these crimes.
And your government won't keep track of violent criminal acts by illegal immigrants.
Why is that?
Why are they not telling us the whole truth?
The same people that lied for three years.
The border's secure, the border's secure, the border's closed, the border's secure.
They're full of Adam shift.
They're just full of it.
And now it's Republicans' fault.
No, they inherited the most secure borders in history.
Anyway, you're getting me really pissed off, but I appreciate the call.
Thank you.
Let's get back to our busy phones.
James in Florida.
James, how are you?
Glad you called, sir.
Yeah, I'm disappointed Haley dropped out because I mailed Monday my absentee ballot voting for her in Florida.
And because Trump, I don't see how people can fall for him.
He's such a con man.
He's not good for America.
He's very emotional.
He reacts.
He says wild, crazy things.
I mean, he's got multiple convictions for fraud.
He doesn't have any convictions for fraud.
What about Trump University where he had to pay back all the students because it was.
You said he had convictions.
I said he had no convictions on his record.
There have been a very aggressive liberal state like New York that has gone after him with a vengeance.
I don't believe that anybody with the last name Trump can get anything resembling fairness.
Let me ask you a question.
I know the price of Florida real estate very well.
I happen to be into real estate.
The judge in this case, this whole case about Mar-a-Lago, for example, he had a valuation of $18 million.
But yet in Palm Beach, Florida, if you want to buy a two-acre lot, there's one for sale right now for $200 million.
Just dirt.
Mar-a-Lago has 20 acres on the ocean and the inner coastal.
It has 58 rooms.
It's a historic property, 20-some-odd acres, and in pristine condition with a beach club and a club within Mar-a-Lago.
And you tell me, was the judge guilty of that which Donald Trump was being accused of or not?
I asked you a question.
Was the judge in this case that used this phony $18 million valuation, was he guilty of the very thing that he declared in summary judgment against Donald Trump, his sons, and his organization?
Yes or no?
So an independent valuation given by somebody else was not valid by a third party, which is where they get the basis for that $18 million?
No, you know what?
You know what?
You're just intellectually dishonest.
You're not honest.
Because if you had any sense, okay, I understand you don't like Trump.
Fine.
You don't have to vote for him.
It's that simple.
How's that?
Go vote for Joe Biden and see what happens.
Good luck with that.
You know what?
Because I think Haley.
Okay, I got your anti-Trump rant.
I'm sick of it.
Don't vote for him.
Go vote for Joe.
Do you think Joe knows what day of the week it is today?
Do you think Joe is a cognitive mess or not?
No real Republican like myself.
I'm asking you a question.
Do you think Joe Biden is cognitively aware?
Yes or no?
I think he's more cognitive than Trump.
Have you seen the startup?
Okay.
You know what?
You know what you are?
You're not an independent.
You're a left-wing hack, and you're trying to act like you're an independent.
You're not.
You're full of Adam Schiff.
So why don't you just be honest?
I hate Trump, but I'm going to vote for Joe Biden.
If you're going to say on this program, you think Joe is cognitively all there, you believe that, right?
Bad for America, and I think you're lying.
I didn't ask you about that.
Is Joe Biden a cognitive mess?
Yes or no?
He's a lot more there than Trump.
Okay, you won't answer the question.
Let me play this for you just for kicks and giggles, and then you tell me.
Listen.
The political coverage.
Look, some of the political players and some of the...
Let me ask a rhetorical question.
Anyways.
I ask again, do you think that guy is cognitively strong enough to be a president?
Hey, I can play a clip of Trump.
I am asking you about Joe.
Answer the question.
Yes or no?
Too old.
You cannot answer it because, you know, no, no, Donald Trump can do hours of interviews.
Joe can't.
Now, last question.
Name me one thing Joe Biden has done that you would deem successful.
Go ahead.
Chips Act.
Right away.
What has he done?
The CHIPS Act.
The Chips Act.
You are pathetic.
You are just pathetic.
Have a good day.
Enjoy.
Go vote for Joey.
Good luck with that if he wins.
God help the world.
God help the country.
800-941-Sean, if you want to be a part of the program.
Linda, we're getting more and more of these phony, oh, I really support moderation, but no, they're just a bunch of liberal hacks.
What did Rush call seminar callers?
I don't even know if he's a seminar caller.
I just think he's, you know, drinking the Kool-Aid.
You know, whether it's Nikki Haley, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, they're all the same person.
Export Selection
