Time Text
This is an iHeart Podcast.
Thanks, Scott Shannon.
Hour two this Friday is Sean Hannity Show.
Toll-free our number is 800-941-Sean.
If you want to be a part of the program, we have been going through the deposition of zero-experience Hunter Biden and pointing out a lot of questions, a lot of inconsistencies that Hunter has made.
Joining us now, he is the chairman of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee.
James Comer has been leading up this impeachment inquiry with Jim Jordan and Jason Smith.
Anyway, Congressman, great to have you.
Thank you for being with us.
Thanks for having me, Sean.
First question I have before we even really get into the details and the contradictions and the combativeness and the back and forth between, I really don't remember because I was addicted to drugs, but I do remember that my dad wasn't there.
Okay, that doesn't make sense.
But I want to talk about the law known as the Farrer regulations.
Can you explain to me based on everything that you know about the foreign business dealings and John Solomon has a report that he'll join us later that the Hunter Biden and Devin Archer even thought about opening an office in Moscow?
Did any of the people involved in this family business, did they ever register as required by FARA laws?
They did not.
And this is one of the most serious crimes that obviously the president's son and brother committed.
And you could, I think, make a good argument that Joe Biden committed as well because he was who they were lobbying.
But they were clearly lobbying on behalf of foreign interests.
And to do that, you have to register as a foreign agent.
And a lot of people have gone to jail.
The law says if you violate the FARA laws, which failure to register as a FARA agent is a violation of the law, that's up to five years in prison as well as a $250,000 fine.
And interestingly, Sean, Gal Luft was just indicted a few months ago by the Department of Justice, by Merrick Carlin, for being an unregistered foreign agent for CEFC at the same time.
He was working for CEFC at the same exact time as Hunter Biden, only Hunter Biden got paid about 10 times more.
So the Department of Justice already prosecuted one person working for the same company at the same time as Hunter, but they've done nothing to Hunter.
Well, isn't that the same criminal statute that put people like Paul Manafort in jail and in his case, nearly a year in solitary confinement?
Yes, the exact same law.
And it's clear.
It doesn't take a genius to figure out that Hunter and Jim Biden violated FARA laws.
All right.
You were in the room.
I wasn't.
I'm only reading a deposition.
What were your big takeaways from the deposition of Hunter Biden?
Well, it was, you know, he would play the drug card when he needed to.
When there was a text that he clearly sent to someone in a manner to extort or in a matter to implicate Joe Biden, then he was hiring a cot and he couldn't remember it.
But when he needed to say that his dad definitely wasn't involved, like with the WhatsApp message, he said he didn't remember sending that.
He thinks he sent it to the wrong guy.
But all he remembers is his daddy was not sitting beside him.
Now, we know from the laptop that he was at his father's house that day.
So, you know, again, when he had to be a drug addict, for his only defense, he was a drug addict.
When he needed to say with certainty that something didn't happen, then he was functioning very well.
Well, it's interesting because that stood out in my mind as well as I read through this deposition because he said, well, my addiction is not an excuse, but I'm more embarrassed by this text message.
He goes on to say that more than any other text message I sent.
And he says there's no other text message that you have which I say anything remotely to this.
Then he says, and I was out of my mind.
That's what he says.
Then he says, my father was not sitting next to me.
He was out of his mind, but that's one thing he remembers.
His father was not sitting next to him.
He didn't remember that.
My father had no awareness.
Out of his mind, he remembered that too.
My father had no awareness of the business we were doing.
My father never benefited.
So I take full responsibility for being an ass, an absolute ass, an idiot when I sent this message.
So let me see if I understand this correctly.
Because I thought the message was very, you know, for somebody out of their mind, well, it didn't have anything that stood out to me.
It seemed like a very clear-headed message sent to somebody that you didn't fulfill your promise.
I'm sitting next to my father, and between everybody he knows, my ability to hold a grudge, you're going to regret this.
And isn't it true that it was only a matter of days later when CEFC sent money to one of the bank accounts, LLCs, shell corporations, as you call them?
How many days later was the money sent and how much was it?
It was less than a week later, a matter of days.
And what Hunter testified under oath was that he was just drugged out, couldn't remember anything.
If he can't remember anything, then how in hell did he remember his father wasn't there?
Because he can't remember anything else.
There were more WhatsApp messages.
So, you know, he just testified that he sent it to the wrong Z, like that particular Chinese name was a common name in China, and he was actually sending it to another guy.
But if you go on.
Wait a minute.
So the one that he sent it to was the guy from CEFC, was it not?
Well, he said under oath that it was not.
He said it was someone else.
But if you look at the text chain.
Well, then why did CEFC send them the money days later?
Well, he lied, Sean.
That's what he did.
He lied under oath about that WhatsApp message.
He said the IRS agents were lying on multiple occasions during the transcript, during the deposition.
He indicated that the IRS agents were wrong.
The IRS agents lied.
His partners all lied, and he's the only one telling the truth.
Yeah, and he's obviously lying about the WhatsApp message because as you just pointed out, everything he demanded in his extortion message to the Chinese National happened within a matter of days.
And the text exchange went on further.
So he claims he was communicating with another guy by the same last name, but yet they kept responding to Hunter.
The guy from CESC kept responding to Hunter.
So, you know, that's a clear lie.
I mean, that's one of the many lies that were told.
And, you know, there are a lot of discrepancies.
We know that was a lie.
But then there are discrepancies where he said Tony Bobolinski was lying.
Devin Archer was on.
He said Devin Archer lied at least seven times.
Then he implied that Rob Walker lied.
Gal Gulanis lied.
All of his business partners lied.
And then the Democrats run out to the meeting and say, oh, Comer's interviewing all these shady characters that are in jail or under an indictment.
Well, Sean, that's who the Bidens were in business with.
That's why I'm interviewing them.
The only person on the up and up that was ever in the Biden orbit was Tony Bobolinski, and they cut him out before he ever actually conducted any real business.
And this is another amazing thing because he denies any money went to his father, but yet his own laptop, does it not show that Hunter implicates his own father?
Half his income to Pops, 10% for the big guy, talking to the financial head of, I guess, their company, this guy Sherwin.
And what account should I use to pay for dad's home repairs in this instance or that instance?
Weren't there multiple instances where he's paying for dad's home repairs?
Absolutely.
But in those text messages, Abby Lowell and Hunter start to play the Russian disinformation card.
They would say, where did these text messages come from?
And they knew where they came from.
They've been out there for six years.
They came from the laptop.
Well, they tried to act like, well, you know, the laptop's been compromised.
And Matt Gates, we let him ask some questions in the deposition.
And he asked him if he ever even had a laptop.
And he said he couldn't remember if he ever even had a laptop.
So, I mean, the number of statements that are questionable at best and downright lies at the worst that came out of this deposition are mind-boggling.
And for anyone to think that Hunter Biden doesn't now need to come in front of a public hearing and let the American people see, let the American people see him answer when Matt Gates or someone on my committee on the oversect asked him, did you even have a laptop?
Did you take that laptop to the Delaware repair shop?
Because so much of the incriminating evidence that we all know where he told his daughter that his dad got half his salary on it came from the laptop that he has admitted in court at least twice was his.
And now they're trying to play the Russia card that it was compromised.
It was compromised by Rudy Giuliani and all this other, you know, just crazy stuff that they're trying to say to get out of having to answer any questions.
Well, didn't the FBI verify its authenticity in March of 2020?
It looks to me like the FBI did, but I'm not having the best luck with the FBI, John.
I know that Catherine Herrge, before she got terminated by CBS, had CBS do a forensic audit and confirm that, yes, that was in fact 100% authentic.
And I will tell you this, every single bank statement that we saw on the laptop, once we subpoenaed from the banks, matched identical.
We have not found one bit of evidence that we subpoenaed and got in that did not match 100% with what was on the laptop.
Did you discover any specific services with any of these countries that he rendered while he was addicted to crack, while he admitted he had no experience in energy, oil, gas, coal?
Why were these energy companies so interested in him with no experience, no experience of anybody around him that we can see, that I can see?
Maybe you can correct me.
We asked him about what he did for Barisma because he got paid $5 billion, roughly the same amount that was in that FBI 1023 form, from Barisma, and he said his job was corporate governance.
Well, corporate governance, you're not allowed.
You have fiduciary responsibilities.
You're not allowed to be a drug addict on there.
I mean, there are certain responsibilities that you have to report.
If you're going through a bankruptcy, if you've been sued, if you're going through a divorce, anything like that.
If you become addicted to anything, you have to report that.
But yet during the deposition, he couldn't answer questions at the time he was working for Barisma because he was high on drugs, high out of his mind.
But yet he never reported that to Barisma and was still the highest paid director of any company that I've ever heard of.
So there's so many discrepancies and violations that were discovered during this deposition.
Well, let me ask a series of simple questions.
Are there any services rendered that you can identify that there are records of to any of these companies?
Any services with any of these foreign business partners?
Any services you can see that they rendered?
No, this is what their story is.
This is Hunter's story and Jim's story in their interviews.
They said that they were getting paid to help find deals for the Chinese.
Now, we don't know what they did for the Romanians and the Russians and the Kazatakis, but for the Chinese, which is where they got most of their money, they said that their job was to find investments for the Chinese government.
And we would say, did you find any investments?
No.
No, they never found any.
But they sure tried.
They looked hard.
They couldn't find anything.
But they got paid roughly $8 million to supposedly find investments for China, but never found one investment.
And remember that bank email that I disclosed?
It was from one bank examiner to another, and it was trying to figure out what this particular shell company the Bidens had was.
And the bank examiner said it appears to be an investment company with no investments.
They were disguising their income as consulting fees or as being a scout to find investments.
They never did anything.
Quick break more with James Comer, the head of the House Oversight Committee.
More on Hunter Biden's big day this week as we continue our coverage.
We continue now with James Comer, the head of the House Government Reform Oversight and Accountability Committee.
My next question.
All these LLCs that you keep referring to as show corporations, is there, like, for example, I have LLCs, but I put real money in them, and I invest real money in the hopes that maybe I might make a profit.
It doesn't always work out the way you want, but that's the purpose of it.
But you can see real business activity.
Absolutely.
In all of the LLCs that you've identified, has there ever been any money that they put in themselves?
Any work that you can see?
Any business created?
Any investment made or not?
There were probably around 30 LLCs, and I'm going to say 20 were flat-out shells.
And a shell is, by my definition, is a company with no assets or no known purpose.
Now, of the other 10, or the roughly one-third, they were companies like what he called OWASCO, which was his professional company.
He would charge all of the different LLCs legal fees because, you know, he's a lawyer, even though I've not seen any evidence of him practicing law during this time period where we had his bank things.
But he was a licensed attorney.
So that company would be somewhat legitimate if you consider he got a million-dollar retainer for when Patrick Ho got arrested in the Southern District of New York to be his lawyer in New York.
But Hunter Biden wasn't even licensed to practice law in New York.
So we'll give him the benefit of the doubt on a handful of those companies.
But Sean, 16 to 20 of those companies, there's no way in the world any bank would say they were anything other than shell companies, anything other than used as a mechanism to launder money from foreign sources to the Biden family.
It really is an unbelievable story.
And the audacity is just breathtaking on so many levels.
It's going to be interesting as this continues to unfold and we really get to the bottom of it.
I got to tell you, with all the obstacles they put in your way and Jordan's way and Jason Smith's way, I got to give all of you credit for your tenacity to get to the truth because they've not made it easy.
Nobody's been particularly helpful.
They've done everything they can do to protect the Bidens on every level.
But James Comer, thank you, sir, for being with us.
We appreciate your time, sir.
Thank you, Sean.
Sean gets the answers.
No one else does.
America deserves to know the truth about Congress.
All right, 25 to the top of the hour.
We'll get right to your phone calls.
Later, John Solomon with some breaking news we'll get to and much more.
Look, months now have passed since Israel was brutally attacked in the worst terror attack in their history, and many killed, many kidnapped and held hostage.
Now Israel is in a war for their very survival and existence.
And as a result, the economic situation for many Israelis is dire.
You have thousands of people in Israel unable to return to their homes, more being evacuated as the conflict with Hezbollah out of Lebanon in the north is ramping up.
Thankfully, there's groups like the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.
They're right there in the middle of all of this and have been from day one.
Now they are distributing critical essentials like food and medicine, emergency supplies for hundreds of thousands of suffering Israelis.
And Israel now is in desperate need.
We're proud to partner with the IFCJ.
Every donation is desperately needed.
Anyway, there's two ways you can donate.

It's supportifcj.org.
That's supportifcj.org.
And if you do it today, your generous gift will be matched.
That doubles the impact of your generosity.
That's supportifcj.org.
All right, to our busy telephones, we shall go.
Ryan is in the great state of Iowa.
Ryan, how are you?
When I was there for the Iowa caucuses, it was a little cold with like 20 below zero weather, but I did withstand it.
But the people are great.
The weather was a little off that day.
It was very cold that day.
You're right, John.
Another reason why Republicans, conservatives that are reluctant and resistant to early voting and voting by mail, you never know what the weather's going to be.
Look at New York District 3.
It was snowing on Election Day, and it hurts Republicans by resisting this.
They've got to rethink this.
You got to go out and vote.
That's all you got to do.
What's on your mind today?
So on my mind is the Fannie Willis thing.
She's paying her boyfriend.
They're kind of going back and forth.
So what are your thoughts?
How's this going to play out?
Well, I think that she should be disqualified.
I'm not sure what's going to happen.
We did learn, you know, the latest sleaze in this tawdry Fulton County clown show that's been going on.
And anyway, it involves the revelation that, according to the latest evidence, Ms. Willis, you know, assigning, you know, with the prosecutor boyfriend weren't limited to residential settings, their time together.
Willis now accused of a romantic relationship with a guy that had no experience in this type of law, Nathan Wade, in her private law office sometime between 2018 and 19, which means what they said on the stand was it was not true.
She went on to hire Wade as a special prosecutor.
He billed the county.
Now we're hearing it was above the 640,000.
It was closer to 700,000 at a rate far higher than the state's leading RICO experts.
And a lot of the windfall went to pay for Willis and Wade's luxurious vacations together.
No, this case should she should now be taken off the case and frankly it should be moved to a different venue.
It's that simple.
This is not complicated.
I didn't think so either.
But it's still how can you draw a case against a guy when you have problem cause against yourself?
I mean, that's it.
Well, that's common sense to you and to me.
Hopefully, it will be to the judge in this case.
We'll have to wait and see.
Final arguments, closing arguments were made today, and we've been following it.
Anyway, appreciate the call, Ryan.
God bless all our friends in Iowa, Kim in Kansas, next Sean Hannity Show.
How are you, Kim?
Hello, Sean.
First of all, I would like to say thank you.
I watched you last night when you were with Donald Trump by the wall, and I appreciate you informing the public of things that are going on because the rest of the media will not let us know exactly what's going on in our world.
The other thing that I wanted to ask is.
Let me add one thing.
We're going to air tonight.
Both President Trump and Governor Abbott and myself, we actually walked along the wall right by the Rio Grande, and you get to see really up close how effective and what a deterrent it has been, putting up the razor wire, the containers, and a lot of manpower and 99.99% reduction in one of what had been one of the busiest illegal immigrant crossing points ever.
But, you know, it's sad that Governor Abbott had to do it on his own because Joe won't enforce the laws of our country and he's been aiding and abetting lawbreaking.
Well, and we were fortunate that other governors were also helping support him as far as the barbed wire and things like that.
And we wouldn't have known about that if it wasn't for your show.
So thank you very much.
The other thing that I wanted to ask is you, the media is, and the fact that they're not good about telling us things going on.
I feel like there's a lot of things that Trump did when he was in office that was extremely beneficial for citizens of America and or of the USA.
And you used to scroll names of people that have passed.
And I was just wondering if there's maybe a way that we could scroll facts or scroll some things that Trump did while he was in office or things that the laws that were passed that were beneficial for us.
Well, I'm going to tell you something.
This is going to be the biggest choice election in our adult lifetime.
And the choice is simple.
Radical new green dealism, the climate alarmist religious cult that Joe is a member of, or it's going to be the policies that were so effective and work so well under Donald Trump, starting with security at the border.
And, you know, I'm glad I had the opportunity.
It's amazing what I learned being on the ground in Texas yesterday by the Rio Grande.
I mean, I've been down to the border nearly 15 times over the years and everywhere from the Rio Grande to San Diego and everywhere in between.
And every time I go there, I learn something new and I learn how difficult this has been because the government has been basically just turning around and trying to stop Texas Governor Abbott from enforcing the laws they themselves should have been enforcing.
But yeah, and look at what's happening to the country, the greatest national security threat in our lifetime.
And we have no vetting of people coming from some of our top geopolitical foes.
It's not a matter of if.
President Trump actually addressed this on the show.
He said it's a matter, he goes, I've heard you say it's a matter of when, and you pray that you're wrong.
He said, I don't think you're going to be proven wrong.
And I wish, I pray to God that I am.
Not saying that because they're not just empty words.
I don't want any American killed, anybody.
But it's scary.
You know, it's as the FBI, former FBI top brass have been saying and put out in a letter that this is an invasion of military-age men.
And Joe's allowed it to happen.
And then said, you know, for three years that what we're seeing with our own eyes is false, but now it's Republicans' fault.
It's beyond, it's not even a joke.
It's frightening anyway.
Well, you have a lot of followers, and if you could just help the public know the things that Trump did do in office for us, we know that he was able to build part of the wall.
However, there's other things that he has done that the public has zero knowledge of.
Energy independence, the largest tax cuts in history, an ability to strike a little bit of fear and trepidation into the hearts of our enemies.
I think that was very real.
Vladimir Putin, well, he took Crimea when Obama and Biden were in office.
He didn't do anything in the Trump years, and then he invades Ukraine.
I mean, Biden has been more hostile to our ally Israel than any president in the modern era, and Obama was not exactly Israel's friend.
It's sad.
I mean, all of this.
Look what they've done to the economy.
Look how many of our fellow Americans are suffering needlessly.
Anyway, I appreciate the call.
Kim, you're very kind.
I really, your words mean a lot to me.
I hope you have a great weekend, okay?
All right.
You too.
Thank you very much.
Thank you for spreading the word.
Thank you for helping me.
I can't do it without you.
Spencer, Louisiana.
Spencer says he's an independent.
What's up, Spencer?
What could I do for you?
What's going on, my friend?
I just am more concerned about that Trump or Biden, neither of them are qualified to do this.
I don't like that I have to choose one or the other.
I don't remember it ever being as divisive and angry.
Why would you say that Donald Trump's not qualified?
He'd been in office.
What did he do that disqualifies him?
He's done it, but I watched four years of blunders just the same as I've watched four years of blunders from Joe Biden.
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Are you going to compare the cognitive ability of Donald Trump to Joe Biden?
Do you really want to make that case?
Sure.
Because Joe Biden couldn't do a one-hour interview with me like Trump did last night.
They're both geriatric Trump, in my opinion.
You know what?
That's just factually inaccurate.
You're factually wrong.
And I'm speaking from experience.
Speaking of somebody that has interviewed him so many times, I mean, I've done interviews with him that go like an hour over time because he's so engaged and wants to keep going.
Joe Biden can't handle that.
There's no comparison.
So when you say you're an independent, I don't think you're being honest.
You know, for you to make that statement is just, it's not an honest statement that you're making.
I voted for Donald Trump in 2016.
I didn't ask you that.
That's not what you said.
You said that they're both the same when it comes speaking about their cognitive strength.
No, they're not.
You have one guy that is completely engaged.
You can ask him any question on any issue, and he's going to give you a long, thoughtful, well-informed answer.
And then you got a guy that doesn't know today's Friday.
So your comparison, your analogy is false.
And it makes me suspicious that you're probably just, you know, you're not really the independent you claim to be.
No, sir.
I apologize coming off that way.
What I wanted your opinion on is why has this created so much anger amongst Americans?
I've never seen us divided as we are today.
The divisive times.
How do you reconcile those that want open borders like Joe and those that want to secure the border like Trump?
How do you reconcile those that don't want to force electric vehicles down Americans' throats, those that want to punish oil gas companies, and those that want to be energy dominant and make America the richest country on the face of the earth?
How do you reconcile those that believe in judges that should not be judicial activists and strict adherence to the Constitution versus those activists?
How do you reconcile those that believe in law and order and those that want to defund, dismantle, and reimagine police departments?
How do you reconcile those that believe in a strong national defense and peace through strength with those that allow Putin and Xi and the Mullahs of Iran to have billions of dollars in their case?
How do you reconcile those differences?
Because I don't see any common ground if you want to know the truth.
That's fine.
I understand.
I just am trying to.
Well, which of those policies do you prefer?
Do you believe in law and order or do you want to defund dismantled police with no bail laws?
Do you have a choice?
Which would you prefer?
Especially at the border.
You want border walls, you want border barriers, you want security, but then you're going to like Trump.
Okay, so that's two issues.
Should America be energy dominant with the vast amount, hundreds of years of resources under our feet?
Should we not be tapping into that to pay off our debt and make this country rich and create high-paying career jobs?
Should we do that?
I 100% agree, but what I was saying about Okay, so then you're supporting Trump again.
Well, let me ask you, do you believe that Putin and Xi and the Mullahs in Iran, do you think they like Joe Biden's policies more or do you think they fear Donald Trump more?
What do you think?
I don't want anyone to fear anybody.
It should be from.
Oh, I wonder why I want our enemies to fear us.
I want them to know there'll be consequences for actions such as been taken, like, you know, drones flying over the continental United States.
Wouldn't you like that shot out of the sky?
Absolutely.
But it's like I would rather.
But Joe didn't do it.
And what's Joe?
All right.
Are you better off than you were four years ago?
Tell me where you're better off.
What policies of Joe Biden have been successful?
Name them.
None, because you know why?
I'm not rich enough to take advantage of the conservative policies that we have in our country, whether it be tax.
More evidence that you're a liberal.
I'm not rich enough.
No, every American benefited under the Trump tax policies.
You know who didn't benefit?
Yours truly.
You want to know why?
Because when he eliminated the state and local tax deduction, I couldn't no longer deduct New York state income taxes at 10% and New York city taxes at another 3.5%.
So I actually ended up paying more.
But I don't think that states like New York should get that benefit because it doesn't transcend states like Florida, Texas, Tennessee, and the Carolinas that elect low-tax governors and legislatures.
So to complete my thought, what I was saying was, I'm also, I make too much money to take advantage of the liberal programs that the government has.
So I'm stuck between Iraq and the hard place, Sean.
That's all I want.
No, you're not.
You know what you want?
You want a vibrant economy that is growing and thriving without Biden inflation.
You don't want to stranglehold on the energy industry the way he's put all these environmental restrictions.
Now we got California and all these states suing big oil and big gas companies.
Who do you think is going to fund those hundreds and hundreds of millions of dollars in attorneys that these companies are going to have to hire to defend themselves?
Who do you think pays that?
OPEC?
No, it'll be the American people that'll pay higher prices at the pump.
Nice try.
I always say so far on this call, you've gotten an F, but I'm not trying to be mean.
I appreciate your time, Sean.
That's pretty much all I wanted to talk to you about was why are we in this place where we are today?
I think you need to do a deeper dive into what both policies are, and then I think you'll be a more informed voter.
And I think, you know, deep down, you don't want to admit it.
You'd rather have conservative policies or you're just not willing to admit you're a bigger liberal than you said you were.
We'll continue.
Sean's got more behind-the-scenes information.
More contacts than anybody.
More friends behind the curtain.
Sean Hannity is on.
