This is an iHeart podcast.
All right, from the great state of Iowa, where, well, with the wind chill, it's about 20 degrees below zero.
But, you know, who needs Florida on a day like today?
It is officially now the kickoff of our presidential election year, 294 days, best election coverage on your radio dial.
That is our promise.
That is our pledge.
We kick it off today.
We will have former President Donald J. Trump on the program today.
Last week we had Governor DeSantis.
We had Nikki Haley.
We've been, I've tried to give time to other candidates, but he's winning by the last poll is he's at 48%.
It has Nikki Haley at 20%.
It has Governor DeSantis at 16.
I'm not sure.
I think the DeSantis number might be a little deceptive.
It's going to be interesting to watch.
There's some things about the polls, though, that bother me is that there's never been a Republican that has won by more than 12 percentage points in the Iowa caucus.
And that was Bob Dole.
All right.
So this has a history here.
The idea that, you know, 28-point lead is a really, you know, high number.
But I know the media.
If Donald Trump comes in and only wins by 16 and set a record, it still would not be enough.
Oh, he underperformed by 10, 12 points based on our polling, as if their polling has been so perfect over the years that we should really trust them.
But anyway, it is interesting.
If you want to look at polls and the person that ought to be most concerned about polling, yeah, that would be a guy by the name of Joe Biden because his poll numbers are atrocious.
We now have the ABC poll that has come out.
His approval rating is 33%.
And, you know, worse than Donald Trump's lowest was 36%, the lowest since George W. Bush from 2006 to 2008.
That was at the end of his presidency.
It was a war-weary country at the time.
But still, Joe Biden is lower.
58% now disapprove of Biden's work.
I mean, how would anyone approve of this?
What exactly is it that he's done that you give him credit or props for?
You know, are you better off than you were four years ago?
On every measure, the answer is no.
Can you name a single policy he's implemented that has better your life or better the life of the country?
And the answer is no.
And then you look demographically, he's only got approval rating of 31% among women.
This is why Republicans need to listen to me.
Don't be idiots on the issue of abortion.
You've got to know, and I say this as somebody that believes in the sanctity of life that is pro-life.
When I analyze it politically, if you want to know why 22 wasn't a wave election, it was all about Roe v.
Wade and this demonization and demagoguing that Republicans are going to take away a woman's right to choose, which was never the case ever.
But they demagogued it just like they do everything else.
I promise you, all you're going to hear, I saw that, you know, Biden's surrogates, I think they might have realized last minute that they made a mistake bailing out of Iowa and bailing out of New Hampshire.
So they're bringing in Governor Pritzker of Illinois, as if anyone cares.
And he's like, we're going to talk about MAGA Republicans.
That's their whole strategy.
MAGA Republicans, a threat to democracy.
January 6th, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, because that's all they've got.
They don't have a track record.
They don't have a record that they can run on and say, vote for us because our policies are working four more years, four more years, and actually mean it.
Anyway, 31% of women now, that is, and also a new low for men of 34%.
Usually women favor Biden more than women.
I mean, David Axelrod has been pounding the crap out of Joe Biden, as has James Carvel, as has Ban Jones, Maureen Dowd.
I mean, these are pretty powerful voices within the Democratic Apparatchik, if you will.
And usually what they say, a lot of people pay attention to.
But then you look at other demographics that we have.
He has a 28% approval among independents.
I mean, if this poll holds, he will not be reelected.
There's no candidate with these numbers that can be reelected.
They break it down demographically even further.
Only 32% among moderates, a low of 41% among college graduates, 10% off his average in that group.
His approval rating is 21 points below average among African Americans, 15 points below in terms of Hispanic Americans.
There was a poll last week that had Donald Trump winning that demographic by about four points.
That's significant.
Because again, if those numbers hold, and if it's a rematch with Biden and Trump, I mean, that's going to be what it is.
You look at some of the other points here that show up in this poll.
He has an approval rating of 65% among black Americans age 50 and up.
But interestingly, and maybe the message that the Democratic Party really doesn't care about minorities the way that they claim.
And we'll speak later to Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson of North Carolina, because every two years, every four years, in come the Democratic politicians, begging for votes.
And historically, by large numbers, sometimes over 90% of the African American vote has gone to the Democratic Party.
And I ask, what have they done to earn your vote besides come every two and four years?
And you never see him at any point in between.
And if you look at predominantly minority areas, especially in big cities, how's your school system doing there?
How's law and order doing there and safety and security for you and your family?
How's that all working out?
Have they put the resources in place?
Have they followed through on any of the promises they make?
But he got, I think, 88% of the black vote.
And nobody wanted to be reminded, as I try to remind people so often, that this is the guy that partnered with the former Klansman to say that they didn't want integration of public schools because he didn't want public schools, his words to be racial jungles.
Can you imagine any Republican, any conservative ever saying that?
It wouldn't go over well.
And I don't think it would ever be forgotten.
On the economy, broad economic discontent in spite of the Bidenomics message of the last nine months, then they stopped using it.
Now they're going back to it.
It's not mattering.
You know, given 2022's 40-year inflation high and inflation is still way too high and still out of control.
And we have high interest rates, you know, as a result of all of it.
Only 13% of Americans now say they've gotten better off financially since Biden took office.
43% said they are not as well off, a point from the 37-year record set in September.
I mean, everybody knows what's happening to the economy because they're living it every day.
That's what happens when you live the economy and you're not just reading statistics.
When I broke down the Bureau of Labor Statistics, you know, jobs numbers the other day, I was trying to point out to you that these numbers, people have misinterpreted them.
These are part-time jobs being created.
The cost of everything is still going higher.
On the economy in particular, 13%, that's insane.
But back to the poll, it is barely more than a quarter of Americans say that the American dream still holds true.
As a father, that's heartbreaking.
My parents never taught me that.
Now, my parents, all they did their whole life was they grew up poor, both of them.
My mom in the South Bronx, my dad in Bedstead in Brooklyn.
They had no money.
All four of my grandparents came from Ireland at the turn of the last century.
They didn't grow up with money.
For them, it was a big deal to get a 50 by 100 lot Cape Cod house.
And I had three older sisters in one tiny bathroom.
I went to the bathroom behind my garage more often than I did inside the house because they were in there putting their makeup on.
Learned a lot about women in those years.
Learned a lot about makeup.
That would serve me well later in life.
But anyway, but I mean, are you serious?
Less than a quarter of Americans believe that?
About half as many as said so 13 years ago.
And you define it as if you work hard, you'll get ahead.
And only 27% of this ABC News poll show the American dream still holds up.
Why would Americans ever vote for people that are destroying?
Look, 60% of our fellow Americans.
You know, I look at the people in Iowa, honestly, and I've talked to a lot of people since I got here.
And I was here earlier than you would think yesterday.
And I talked to a lot of people.
And all the people here, I just look at them as like, wow, this is salt of the earth country.
These are the people that, first of all, they feed not only our country, and they're so big into agriculture and farming and raising, you know, the food that we eat.
And I'm like, okay, they get up at dawn.
They work all day.
These are the people that work hard, play by the rules, pay their taxes, raise their kids, take them to church on Sunday, put in their 16 hours a day, do their homework with their kids.
They, you know, throw a meal together, try to make it healthy, you know, a meat, macaroni and cheese, rice-aroni, those were my staples.
And they crash and they go to sleep and they get up every day and they do it all over again.
Every job, no matter what job you have, and I don't really feel like I'm working, it's a grind.
You got to work hard at it.
And that's what the people of Iowa do.
I don't know how they put up with this 20-degree below zero.
It's not usually like this.
I was trying to explain to a friend of mine on the phone last night.
He goes, no, come on.
It really can't be that cold.
I'm like, no, this cold goes right to your bones in seconds.
I had to carry my bag from a car into the hotel and I didn't have my glove on.
And I thought my hand was going to freeze off.
Like you're going to get stuck to the bag.
It was that cold.
I mean, it's cold.
And the predictions are that there's going to be a great showing tonight.
And by the way, the only one good thing that works for the people of Iowa is that it's only about an hour.
Oh, yeah.
I saw that.
I saw that.
What was it?
Aroma noodles.
And they put it outside and they had a fork and they stuck the fork up and it froze.
It froze in like seconds.
Unbelievable.
And, you know, Joe Biden, one of the president's suck-up surrogates, you know, downplaying Biden's polling.
It's a disaster.
And I'll tell you why he did this to Iowa, New Hampshire, because he lost Iowa and New Hampshire last time.
If it was not for a guy in South Carolina with the name of James Clybert, very powerful Democrat, well-respected Democrat in that state, if it was not for him, he saved Biden's ass.
And I'll never forgive him for it.
I'll forgive him for all his liberal Democratic policies, but not thrusting this on the American people.
So they're sending in Illinois governor, you know, J.B. Pritzker.
Like the people of Iowa, they don't want to hear from them.
They don't want to hear from anybody.
And here's the beauty of the people I want.
They were showing up this weekend, even after two feet of snow came flying down from the sky.
And they still showed up whenever they could.
They're paying attention.
And it's going to be interesting to see what happens.
No matter what Donald Trump does, if he doesn't win by 28 points, the media was, oh my gosh, he underperformed.
I'm like, okay.
I think it's probably, although I don't take any election for granted, the caucus system is a little funky.
So just like in New Hampshire, the fact that they allow independents to decide whether they want to vote in the Republican primary or Democratic primary, I don't like that system.
But it is what it is.
The system is what it is.
If I'm Governor DeSantis, I would want to hold on to number two.
And if he can get 20%, which is where Nikki Haley is now, I think that would be a good showing for the governor.
Nikki Haley, on the other side, wants to make this, in her mind, and she's saying it publicly, a two-person race.
And, you know, so we'll watch that very, very closely.
It starts at 8 Eastern.
By the time we are on at 9 Eastern, we'll have a lot to tell you, especially throughout the whole hour.
There's a big divide in the Democratic Party.
They're dealing with their own drama.
Operatives in Obama's orbit, this was in Politico today, think that Biden's re-election strategy is all wrong.
He's never been an organizational wizard.
Instead, he's often relied on his instinct and gut.
Yet another, by the way, his gut is dead wrong.
What did Obama famously say?
Never underestimate Joe's ability to F things up.
Although Joe did get a lot of money in the last quarter of 2023, he's got like $117 million cash on hand.
That means, what are those ads going to be?
January 6th, Democracy in Jeopardy.
Trump, Trump, Trump.
Abortion.
Republicans want dirty air and water.
They want to kill grandma and grandpa.
They're racist.
They're sexist.
They're misogynistic.
They're homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic, transphobic.
I can't even keep up with how many phobics there are.
But that's their old playbook.
But we're watching all of it closely.
It's fun to be here.
The people couldn't be nicer.
I'm glad I bought a new coat.
I got a, what do you call it?
Northface?
And I got new boots.
You mean you and James got a new coat?
I bought one for James.
Yes, I know you have matching boots and coats.
It's super cute, actually.
I got him boots because I knew he didn't have any.
Yes, I know.
Again, matching boots and matching coats here at the Hannity Show.
That's what happens when you move on.
What is wrong with you?
What is wrong with you?
I don't know why you're getting so defensive.
I'm just stating something.
Yeah, he moved to Florida.
He's married to my sister.
I wasn't insinuating he wasn't married to your sister.
I'm just saying.
James, do you like Florida better?
Yes or no?
Yes.
Thank you.
All right, 800, 900.
Northface, by the way.
Northface.
Yeah, that's what it's called.
Yes, North Face.
Something like that.
And I got Dick's Sporting Goods is where I got the shoes, the boots.
All right.
I don't know what you.
Pure Talk, the one I handed you?
Oh, okay.

Now, I had for breakfast two eggs, 140 calories.
I did have a half a order, a tiny order of those, you know, scattered and extra smothered.
Onions have none.
And that's the end of it.
All right.
From Iowa to 20 below zero.

Anyway, so, oh, there was one other poll I didn't get to, a CBS YouGov poll.
Trump now leads the GOP field by a whopping 55 points.
It's look, to me, it seems insurmountable on paper.
And I'm just giving pure analysis of this.
If these polls are anywhere near accurate, and they all show Donald Trump, they expect that he's going to have a good night tonight.
If he has a good night, not defined by meeting the expectations of the mob and the media, but I think any number that beat Bob Dole's record would probably be considered by all objective people as being a big win.
Then you're going to look very closely who comes in second, who comes in third, what the margins are.
In the last poll leading into today, Trump was at 48%, Nikki Haley at 20%, Ron DeSantis at 16.
I probably would think that in terms of a ground game, which is very important for Caucus Night, if I had to guess, I would say, based on what I have seen, everybody I've spoken to, Governor DeSantis probably has the best ground game.
The Reverend Vanderpleetz is his name, who's a very influential evangelical leader in the state, has supported Governor DeSantis.
If I'm Governor DeSantis, I would want to come in second and exceed that last poll's expectations.
If I'm Donald Trump, anything over 15 points, I consider a massive win, in spite of the last poll being 28.
If I am Nikki Haley, you know, you want to beat Ron DeSantis, and she thinks that would give her momentum going into New Hampshire.
The last two New Hampshire polls had Trump leading there, one by seven, one by 20.
And it's going to be a race to next week.
By the way, this goes very quickly, this whole process.
It's going to unfold fast.
Then Nevada, then South Carolina, then we'll head to Super Tuesday.
And this thing is going to fly by.
But anyway, so we'll see what happens.
We're going to watch very closely all of this.
It starts at 8 o'clock Eastern, and we'll probably have the results at some point during the 9 o'clock hour when I'm on Hannity on Fox.
And we'll have the best analysis, you know, find out what happened, and we'll get people's different takes on all of this.
And, you know, it's just kind of game day.
I love that.
I love game day coverage.
But if you missed it at the top of the hour, Donald Trump will join us.
I don't know if you saw over the weekend, but Joe Biden was called a loser.
Swing state voters heckle the president during a Pennsylvania trip.
I mean, who would ever think of Joe Biden as a loser?
I mean, he's so exciting.
You know, what?
I didn't even think they could hear me.
I mean, I was yelling very loud.
But, you know.
That's because it's your state of Pennsylvania.
By the way, if it was you, it would not shock anybody in this room.
Oh, hell no.
If I was you, it wouldn't shock this audience.
It would have been bleep, the bleep, bleep, bleep, loser.
Yeah.
Well, anyway, whether Biden can make it to next November is going to be a big issue in and of itself.
Look, there's so many different angles and issues, but we're definitely watching these historically bad Biden poll numbers are now hitting a new low.
And this ABC poll is as bad as it gets.
I'm not sure how many people noticed.
We're not going to spend a lot of time on it today.
We'll spend more after the caucuses today and obviously analysis tomorrow.
But Georgia DA, Fulton County DA Fannie Willis, is now playing the race card, claiming the improper relationship accusations are based on race.
Well, she paid the guy $600, an outside contractor, more money than she gets paid to be involved in the Trump case.
Then we have ethical issues about, you know, was there coordination with the January 6th committee?
Was there coordination with the Biden White House and Biden lawyers?
Was any of that there?
She made these comments in a church of all places.
And here's what she said.
But, dear God, are you listening?
Why does Commissioner Thorne and so many others question my decision on a special counsel?
Lord, you're flawed, hard-headed, and imperfect child.
I'm a little confused.
I appointed three special counselors.
Is my right to do?
Paid them all the same hourly rate.
They only intact one.
I hired one white woman, a good personal friend and great lawyer.
A superstar, I'll tell you.
I hired one white man, brilliant, my friend, and a great lawyer.
And I hired one black man, another superstar, a great friend, and a great lawyer.
Oh, Lord, they're going to be mad when I call them out on this nonsense.
First thing they say, oh, she's going to play the race card now.
But no, God, isn't it them who's playing the race card when they only question one?
Isn't it them playing the race card when they constantly think I need someone from some other jurisdiction in some other state to tell me how to do a job I've been doing almost 30 years?
Wow.
Really?
We're going to play the race card?
No, they have, as they say, she has some explaining to do to everybody.
And that would be, you paid this guy a fortune, and then you're taking trips to the Caribbean, exotic vacations with the money that, what, he's being paid.
And then you're both going up to the White House to meet with what, maybe White House counsel, maybe White House operatives on how you're going to go after Donald Trump coordination.
Anyway, it's insane.
If you want to talk about insanity, this is the story of the day, though.
Your FAA is actively now recruiting workers because of DEI.
Now, up until recently, I didn't know what DEI was.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion.
That's what it stands for.
For short, you say DEI.
You know, it's sort of like these HR manuals that every company has, even the companies I work for.
I've never read them.
Don't bother reading them because I could reduce all of those HR manuals into basically one page.
And one part of the page would be optional because, you know, some companies might feel uncomfortable acknowledging that we're endowed by our creator, but acknowledging God.
But the golden rule: love God with all your heart, mind, body, and soul, and your neighbor as yourself.
Treat others as you would like to be treated, Linda.
I wish you treated me better.
Then I would treat you better.
I couldn't help myself.
But now get this.
They're looking to now hire, as a result of DEI, people that suffer severe intellectual disabilities, psychiatric problems, and other mental and physical conditions under a diversity and inclusive inclusion hiring initiative spelled out on the agency's website.
Targeted disabilities are those disabilities that the federal government, as a matter of policy, has identified for special emphasis on recruitment and hiring.
It's on the FAA website.
They include hearing, vision that might be required for the FAA.
Just wondering.
A pilot of any plane I may happen to be on, instructing them how to fly the plane.
That would not be good.
But that's today's other news of the day that we don't have enough time for, unfortunately, because we have so much else going on.
Democrats, by the way, are planning to crash Iowa's Republican caucuses tonight.
Axio's reporting that some Iowa Democrats and dependents are planning to crash the Republican caucuses tonight and become Republicans for a day to vote for Nikki Haley, but mostly against former President Donald Trump.
It's unclear how many will show up, but crossover voting is a low-key tradition in Iowa caucuses.
It's one of the big unknowns heading into tonight.
We've got to watch that.
But Panny Willis now playing the race card.
Pretty unbelievable.
I do notice that the Davos elite, those are the billionaires and millionaires that fly their private jets and then lecture the rest of us how we need to ride a bicycle, get rid of our stoves and our air conditioners and stop eating meat.
They're wondering what a second term of Donald Trump would look like.
If I'm Mitch McConnell, I'm not liking this article.
Mitch McConnell and Chuck Schumer's big secret, they're closer than ever.
Well, no wonder confidence in Republicans has gone to an all-time low.
Look, I know a lot of my Republican friends are upset and angry with Speaker Johnson, you know, and he's down to two votes.
And unfortunately, they have too many liberals in the Republican caucus.
There's nothing that he can do about that.
And it makes his job that much harder.
And I know they're going to hold off the government shutdown now again until March with a continuing resolution, which he didn't want to do.
I don't really see a way out for him unless every Republican, as I said early on when the Kevin McCarthy issue was going on, that they need to get in a room, check their egos, check their phones, come up with a two or three point agenda that everybody agrees on and just fight for those things.
Borders, budget.
Start with those two.
And if they're not doing it, that's the sad part.
And the people that are going to suffer in the end are going to be you, me, and the American people.
People try to make a lot out of the fact.
If you listen to Donald Trump's voice, you can hear it.
Even if you vote and pass away, it's worth it.
Okay.
It means you don't know Donald Trump if you don't know that his tongue was in his cheek.
You really don't.
He did tell one protester to go home to mommy, which I thought was pretty funny.
I mean, everything was perfect.
And I did three rallies.
You take a billion.
Thank you.
That's all right.
Go home to mommy.
Your mommy's work.
I mean, come on, that's funny.
Are you supposed to be there, you know, all scared because these psychopaths show up?
That's not how you live life.
I don't know where this money is coming from, but the Biden-Harris campaign say they have the largest war chest of any Democratic candidate in history.
I don't like this news.
I saw it over the weekend.
Joe Biden apparently had a conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and hung up on him.
This conversation is over, and they've not spoken since.
Wow.
What a horrible ally he is.
But I told you almost from the beginning the truth.
And the truth was, Joe is saying one thing very publicly and privately, saying something very, very differently.
Obama aides are now clearly complaining that Biden's re-election campaign is weak.
That's the political article that I mentioned.
Jonathan Carl, ABC, sounding the alarm over Biden's sliding poll numbers.
It's the worst we've seen in 15 years.
Well, he's been the worst president we've had, at least in the modern era, so it doesn't shock me.
One other foreign policy issue.
Remember that they had the big, big announcement.
Oh, Europe and I'm sorry, Great Britain and the United States have struck back against the Houdi rebels.
Then we found out it was just like the strike, you know, against, you know, the people that were attacking our troops.
They hit two empty warehouses.
Nobody died.
In this case, they may have killed five or six Houdi rebels.
That's it.
In the end, now the Iranian-backed Houdis, they continue attacking U.S. shipping.
They've not been deterred at all because it was a pinprick.
It was nothing.
And now they fired a missile striking a U.S.-owned ship earlier today just off the coast of Yemen.
What are you going to do, Joe?
What are you going to do about China?
What are you going to do about Russia?
What are you going to do about all of these issues?
What?
Give more money?
You want to give another $10 billion, approve another $10 billion for Iran?
He said his decision to delist the Houdi rebels as terrorists is irrelevant.
No, they're terrorists.
They should be labeled as such.
Anyway, you know, you have a message you want to send the Hooties.
Yeah, I like chocolate chocolate chip ice cream as my message.
By the way, Biden's illegals now going on crime sprees.
This latest one in Brooklyn, New York.
Not a good thing.
Anyway, it's going to be interesting.
This is kind of exciting.
This is a game night.
It's going to be fun to watch all this.
I don't know what to make of the Des Moines Register poll by nearly two to one.
Nikki Haley voters said they backed Biden over Trump.
This goes to, remember when David Plouf, who ran Obama's campaign, said he wanted people in Iowa, New Hampshire to involve themselves in a New Hampshire, if you're an independent, you can switch and you can either vote Democrat or Republican in the primary if you stay independent.
A lot of people do it on purpose.
What does that mean?
I guess they deemed her.
I don't know how to interpret it.
One Iowa pollster says the lack of enthusiasm for Nikki Haley's jaw-dropping.
We'll find out tonight.
But Donald Trump will join us at the top of the hour.
I had some other news.
Oh, we have a lot of Biden family corruption news coming this week.
We believe now that, in fact, in spite of it not being necessary that Republicans will issue a second subpoena.
And I think Kevin Morris is scheduled to be deposed earlier this week.
Anyway, 800-941-Sean is our number.
If you want to be a part of the program, it is.
Oh, there it is.
Thank you.
I didn't see you put it there, but I appreciate the effort.
Drink one of your shakes.
You need one.
Look, we do have a national crisis in American education.
Everybody knows that.
If you have any kids in school, for decades, young people have been not properly taught about American heritage.
Not at all.
That's what our friends at Hillsdale College call civic education.
The result is way too many young people rejecting the principles of liberty.
Americans now between 18 and 30 are the most likely to reject patriotism, look on our founding fathers as villains, support the removal of historical statues, including that of George Washington.
And as a society, we've neglected this problem for way too long.
Hillsdale College is not.
Hillsdale has been leading the way in promoting civic education.
And this year, Hillsdale is now producing 60-second radio spots called Constitution Minutes, short, clear lessons on the principles of liberty.
We're going to feature some of them right here on this show.
Go to their website.
If you want to hear a Constitution Minute, just go for Seanforhillsdale.com, S-E-A-N-F-O-R Hillsdale.com.

As we continue from Iowa, tonight is Caucus Night Game Time.
Hannity live from the caucus, 9 Eastern on the Fox News Channel.
Sean Hannity.
And as we continue from Des Moines, Iowa, 20 below zero with a wind chill, when we come back, former President Donald J. Trump leading in the Iowa caucus polls.
He will be with us next.
