Vice President Harris, do you see her as the future of the Democratic Party?
Uh it's not a given.
You don't own the MacLeo.
She'll have to compete.
Uh going forward so that we can stop passing CRs.
That's like telling a crack addict, we're gonna give you more crack to keep you off a crack.

All right, hour two, Sean Hannity Show, toll-free.
It's 800-941.
Sean, you want to be a part of the program.
By the way, an audience show tonight on Hannity should be fun.
Uh it was interesting to watch Nikki Haley in particular last night.
I mean, she went at both Vivek Ramaswamy and Tim Scott, and similarly sparred with Ron DeSantis.
Um let me play those three moments and and you know, we're being told that the donor class has now shifted their attention to her, although all day on the Drudge Report.
Um the Glenn Youncins picture has been up, you know, with the question Republican race about to shake with a late entry.
Uh we've been watching that.
I don't know if there's details to follow.
He was pretty clear with me two nights ago.
What, Linda?
No, I was just gonna tell you, they're basically just saying that the pack and the donors want them to join.
There's absolutely no news there.
So, you know, we'll see what happens.
Kind of a little late, and you know, everyone thought Ron DeSantis would be a little bit more comp competitive.
I mean, he's done a great job as governor, in my view, he's been one of the best governors in the country.
And Youncin, too.
It's gonna be interesting how these midterms work out.
The off election year works out for the legislature in Virginia.
We talked about it with him the other night.
Uh let me play these these exchanges with Nikki, Vivek, Tim Scott, and DeSantis.
Kids under the age of social, under the age of 16, should not be using addictive social media.
We're only gonna ever get to declaring independence from China, which I favor if we actually win.
So while the Democrats are running rampant, reaching the next generation three to one.
There's exactly one person in the Republican Party which talks a big game about reaching young people, and that's me.
And that is what makes America great.
Americans everyone.
And that is why we will end it once we win this election.
This is infuriating because TikTok is one of the most dangerous social media ads that we could have.
And what you've got, I honestly, every time I hear you, I feel a little bit dumber for what you say.
But it's on time in 40 years.
He was part of that.
He increased the national debt.
He voted for the spending.
You voted for the space.
He has made sure that the borders are open.
Twelve years.
Where have you been?
Where is it?
I voted no at all.
I've got to use and nothing has happened.
What you don't need is a president who is against energy independence.
Ron DeSantis is against fracking.
He's against drilling.
He's been against you did it.
Every he always talks about what happens on day one.
You better watch out because what happens on day two is when you're in trouble.
Day two in Florida, you banned fracking, you banned offshore drilling.
You did it on federal lands, and you took green subsidies that you didn't have to take.
I just did a plan out in West Texas for American energy dominance.
We're going to choose Midland over Moscow.
We're going to choose the Marcellus over the Mullahs, and we're going to choose Bachin over Beijing, and we are going to lower your gas prices.
I will simply say, I would love to finish my conversation with Nikki as it relates to the job that needs to get done.
Nikki offered a 10% 10 cent gas tax increase in South Carolina.
Talk about someone who has never seen a federal dollar she doesn't like.
10 cents on the gallon in South Carolina as the UN ambassador.
You literally bring it $50,000 on curtains at a $15 million subsidized location.
Next.
You got bad information.
First of all, I fought the gas tax in South Carolina multiple times against the establishment.
Against the establishment.
And you want to know what that 10 cent was when they wouldn't pass the gas tax.
The establishment and the companies wanted me to do it so much that I said the only way I will pay for the case.
All you have to do is go watch Nikki Haley on YouTube.
If you will give me three times the deduction in income tax, then I will look at your gas tax, which is why it didn't happen.
Secondly, on the 50 million.
Secondly, on the uh curtains, do your homework, Tim, because Obama bought those curtains.
Did you send them back?
It's in the curtain.
Did you send them back?
It's the State Department.
Did you send them back?
You're the one that works in Congress.
You get a chance to do it.
You hung them on your your curtains.
They were there before I even showed up at the residence.
You are happening.
Anyway, getting pretty aggressive on her part.
Um that stood out to me last night.
Anyway, here for his analysis.
He's been there, by the way.
He's been on those that debate stage for these Republican presidential primaries.
Uh one of the best debaters I've ever met, uh, former Speaker of the House, a big part of modern day conservatism.
I think one of the the second wave after Ronald Reagan was absolutely new.
Kingrich in the contract with America.
He's also a dear friend.
He's he's almost like you're like family to me.
You know that, right?
No, I do.
That's uh part of the joy of my life is thinking of you as a younger brother.
By the way, there have been times that I uh I have really really pushed our friendship to the brink.
Like I really needed Newt to be a guest based on whatever the news event happened to be.
He's like, I gotta take my wife to dinner.
I promise to take my wife to dinner.
And I'm like, okay, how about this?
If she lets you do the show, how about I pay for dinner and and I'll send you to he at the time you love Roots Chris Steakhouse, and I'll send you to Roots Chris and I'll send a great bottle of wine over.
There might have been a moment or two like that.
Is that true?
Oh, yeah, there have been several, and Chris has always been very grateful.
Listen, I'm a negotiator.
At the end of the day, you know, I've got to I gotta do whatever it takes, but you've always been very gracious.
All right, let's get your overall thoughts.
Um and Nikki, that aggressiveness, I felt she was the most aggressive against the other candidates.
Your thoughts on it will help her.
Well, I look I I have two sets of thoughts.
One about the debate and one about where we are.
Uh in the debate, I thought DeSantis actually did better than he did in the first round.
Uh had he been that good from day one of his candidacy, he might be in a lot better shape today.
Uh I thought Nikki was aggressive.
And I'm gonna she's very smart and she's very tough.
But at one level, um it seemed to me she was attacking too much.
Uh on the other hand, I would say that's the she she and DeSantis were probably the if there were any winners last night.
It was probably the two of them with maybe Tim Scott coming in third.
I thought uh that that uh Vivek uh Ramaswamy uh looks too much like the smartest kid in the class uh and not ready to be president.
Um I I actually thought, although I'm not a big fan of Chris Christmas, that he was pretty good last night, and that he was pretty effective.
Uh he just says this problem that is unlikable.
He's unlikable and and it's like his obsession to be loved by the media.
Now we've seen that movie before with John McCain and Mitt Romney.
How'd that work out for them in the end?
As soon as they become any type of political threat, oh, they will turn on Christie, who did leave office with a 14% approval rating.
The uh well and I may surprise you.
My real reaction to the debate was uh that uh this is over.
Uh the RNC ought to just collapse the rest of the debates.
Donald Trump will be the nominee, and we ought to go and focus on defeating Biden and the Democrats.
Uh I mean, they they've had two shots at trying to break loose.
Nobody has done well enough to matter.
Uh the two debates I think were essentially irrelevant.
Uh you you you can have a friend of mine wrote me a note and said they're all trying out to be the backup quarterback.
Um, none of them in the simple test is the m the mugshot of Trump, where he's so angry and so focused, and asked yourself, could any of these people on this stay on this debate stand up to the entire left-wing establishment uh and take them head on?
And the answer is no.
I mean, DeSantis probably comes the closest.
But the fact is that the the level of beating Trump has taken, the fact that he keeps coming back, uh the the brilliance of his speech last night in in in Michigan, um, which was really the most important political event of the day yesterday.
You know, his speech was longer than Biden's entire time in Michigan.
That's amazing, is it?
But yeah, Biden, by the way, spent twelve minutes with the UAW workers.
That's it.
Twelve minutes.
And by the way, one of the reasons their jobs are are are dissipating before our eyes is because of his policies pushing and forcing EVs that Americans don't want and these companies don't want to produce on the American people.
Ford had a good year last year, but they still lost four point five billion dollars on their EV uh line.
Right.
I mean, and then it's very clear from the polling we do at uh America's New Majority Project, where we do a national poll every two weeks and do lots of focus groups.
The American people deeply reject uh the idea that the federal government's gonna pick what car they get.
Uh and I and I I think Well, why they they want to pick your stove and they want to pick your refrigerator and they want to pick your air conditioner, and they want to tell you what materials you can use or not use on your home, and they want to tell you even what to eat.
I'm so sick of it.
So I I think in that sense you're seeing a real I think rebellion built across the whole country against the whole establishment model of uh controlling our lives and teaching us what to do.
Uh and I just think we you know when when when Trump is 43 points ahead nationally of the n of the number two person who's DeSantis, uh Trump's gonna be the nominee.
It's it's it's uh I don't see any way uh that that's not gonna happen.
I think it's better for us as Republicans, instead of wasting, you know, five hundred million dollars between now and whenever everybody finally collapses to just be honest about it.
Mm-hmm.
All right, quick break, right back more with former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich on the other side as we continue.
Hey there, I'm Mary Catherine Hammond.

So we're in a situation that's very interesting.
When the the media is now turning on Joe Biden, and mostly about his age, cognitive uh decline and his physical weakness, you know, operation, you know, keep Joe from Paul falling was implemented this week.
Uh, or at least we found about out about it.
But when you have Maureen Dowd, David Ignatius, you know all these names, Liberal Joe and Van Jones and David Axelrod, uh, and and James Carville and Bill Maher all coming out against Joe and being very critical of you know what you and I have noticed for a long time.
My take is the minute more Democrats, and there's been very tepid support for the ticket from the likes of James Clyburn and Nancy Pelosi.
That that might be the political, you know, canary in the coal mine.
Nineteen senators want Menendez gone, but Joe Biden's up to his eyeballs in what is a tens and tens of millions of dollars in influence peddling, and he's way more involved than he ever let on, and it's now being discovered.
Once they start talking about that issue, I say it's over for him.
Now we've got, you know, the donor class pushing really hard for for Glenn Youncett.
Uh you think Glenn Younc, a would get in, and do you think he'd have a chance?
I I think he's too smart.
I think he knows that he's got a real shot in 70 and in 28.
Um, finish out his term as governor, spend two years running for president.
Um, you know, and I think he knows, having watched uh DeSantis.
Uh I tried to warn one of DeSantis's closest friends before he announced.
I said, he's got to understand.
Taking on Trump, you just shrink.
Uh look, look at Jeb Bush, who's a perfectly good guy, uh, had the most money of anybody, was was generally conceded to be the front runner, and in a matter of weeks, Trump had reduced him to low energy Jeb.
And he was ending up running around New Hampshire in shorts and looking weird, and then he was gone.
Uh so I think Young can understand two things.
One, trying to put together a national organization on the run at the last minute, is really hard.
And two, uh, right now he's unscarred.
He's he's terrific, and I happen to like him a lot.
I think he's a very, very good leader.
I like uh listen, I'll be honest, I like all these guys, and I'm not afraid to say it.
Uh, but I've also been one of Trump's biggest supporters from day one, as you know.
Yeah.
So so I just I think it'd be a huge mistake for Young to run.
And I think that uh he'd have no more success than anybody else.
Uh and the reason is that the Trump is not a candidate.
This I cannot get this across the news video.
Trump is not a candidate.
Trump is the leader of a national movement.
And the emotional relationship between a movement and its leader uh is totally different than the relationship with a candidate.
And well, let me ask this important question.
Let's assume that he has a couple of convictions.
I don't think he can get fair trials in New York, D.C. or Fulton County.
Let's start there.
And he ends up running as a as a candidate with a couple of convictions uh, you know, on his record.
How will independents that usually decide elections?
How do they react to that?
Uh they look at the price of gasoline, they look at the next flash mob in Philadelphia.
They look at a border that's totally out of control.
Uh and and it's a really simple question.
Do you really think your country can take many more years of this without being totally destroyed?
Or do you want this guy who who you you and I, and I think virtually everybody knows.
These things are all political.
I mean, you have a hack democratic judge in New York without a jury trial, making a totally absurd decision.
Which will almost certainly be uh reversed uh in terms of of Trump.
By the way, the this whole trial about whether or not Trump inflated the value of his property, they could not find a single person to come in and say that it costs them any f there are no victims.
And by the way, they have a fiduciary responsibility as a lending institution to use their own figures.
I mean, that's stupid.
And by the way, the judge, the dumbest thing that judge said, he valued Mar-a-Lago at 18 million.
I know the cost of real estate.
That's a half a billion dollar property minimum.
It's insane.
Ken Grippett bought five lots down the block and paid over $500 million, knocks them all down.
It's gonna be a billion dollar property.
Um and it's still pro it won't be as prestigious as Mar-a-Lago, but the best part of the night you have to admit was me debating Gavin, right?
Unbelievable.
I think I I think he's the most likely Democratic nominee.
I do too.
I I that's why I'm warning people.
Do you like the idea of DeSantis debating Gavin, real quick?
Sure.
Well, I mean, my attitude is why not.
Thank you.
I love my smarter, bigger brother.
He's always always always straight with me.
Uh thank you, sir.
800, 941 show on our number.
All right, here's uh my interview with Gavin uh right in the spin room.
What time was that Eastern time?
Oh, I guess a little after eleven.
This was about eleven uh eleven fifty.
Eleven fifty-two, Jason tells me.
Yes, we're heading into the midnight hour.
And then headed straight to the red eye.
Oh, they're great for I love red eye.
Don't you love red-eye flights?
You know what I love about red-eye flights?
I love red-eye flights when I get to the airport and three cars get canceled on me, and I hang out there for an hour and a half after I take a red eye, which is what I did today.
Oh, you should have told me why didn't you?
Wonderful.
I was so excited.
Why don't you tell me?
I would have you had already left.
I would have come back.
You were a pumpkin.
Okay.
Uh anyway, here's that uh interview.
Now that you went on your little media tour with all your liberal sycophants, you come back to reality and you love doing my show better.
You just told me off air.
I love doing your show the most.
I mean, it's unbelievable that you can publicly say something like that.
That's amazing.
By the way, favored nation status for me, the Reagan Library and a Republican debate.
Where else would I want to be?
Wow.
This is it.
This is home court.
Home court.
So now I'm gonna ask you.
So honest question.
So you see the atmosphere, you feel the electricity, you feel the room.
Oh, I know where you're going.
You know where I'm going.
I know where you're going.
Okay, and you just finished the initial debate.
Are you promoting a presidential candidate?
I want to know.
Because I know the truth.
In your heart, in your mind, you want this.
But you have basically gone on a media tour, sucking up to Joe Biden, and you know he's a cognitive mess.
You know it.
I also know he's got an extraordinary record to learn.
Really?
I could be more pro- by the way, how's his market on the border?
Objectively, he was the winner tonight.
No, objectively.
Yeah, no, no.
Just not spent.
These guys identified problems, and Biden actually not only identified solutions, he's gotten bipartisan deals to begin the process of implementing them.
Look into that camera right there.
And you tell the people watching.
Yeah.
Do you think this border is secure?
Because they keep telling us it's closed and secure.
Do you believe the southern border is secure?
Do you believe with all the fentanyl deaths and opioid deaths?
Is this border secure?
I believe Ronald Reagan was right in 1986 when he supported comprehensive immunity.
Well, he also said it was the worst decision he ever made.
Yeah, but I believe that he did the right thing for the right reasons because he recognized it's not just a border issue that the world is the entire system needs to be reformed.
We haven't reformed since 86.
You're not answering the city.
We need to reform the asylum system.
I want to know I believe in strong.
You just said Joe's successful.
I think Joe Biden has been unbelievably successful.
Is this border secure?
The border we we all agree we have a border challenge.
We all agree we need to we need to reform the asylum system.
We agree in strong borders.
So he's not successful in securing the border.
I think the Republican Party is complicit in this as well.
You cannot do things.
I mean, it's just factual.
That's wildly overstated, but I get your fundamental point.
Clearly the challenges are more acute today.
And by the way, I don't need to be educated on this.
I have the largest land port in the Western Hemisphere here in the state of California.
But I don't think it's a good idea.
But you're a sanctuary state.
And it's the fourth largest economy in the world.
We had 7.8% GDP growth in in tw in in 2021.
What's and we dominate on innovation and entrepreneurship.
And who pays for housing, food, clothing, education, health care?
Who pays for that?
Well, we had 177.7 billion dollar operating surplus over two fiscal years, and I just did an 18.5 billion dollar tax rebate, the largest in American history, as we expanded universal health care, and we're providing more services, including, by the way, health insurance, which Ron DeSantis apparently wasn't even aware of the question.
So I come into your state.
Yes, sir.
First thing I love to do is bring money to your economy.
I appreciate it.
I go straight to In N Out Burger.
That is one of the greatest things of your state.
Legit.
Including the weather, including the the terrain is phenomenal.
We could keep going.
But yes, it's all phenomenal.
However, then I'm passing gas station after gas station and gas station.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, you're right.
Excuse me.
Gouging us.
Oil companies are screwing us.
Four dollars a gallon in every other state.
Yeah.
Seven dollars I saw here.
Seven.
Why is your state near the game?
Two dollars as much.
As of today, I I've monitored this very closely.
I just did a special session.
We became the first state in the country to do price gouging legislation with a new monitor, just went into effect.
These oil companies are ripping us off.
They're only ripping off six.
California though?
$2.06, this mystery surcharge that they've been advancing for years and years.
But the average around the country's power and I saw anywhere between six six fifty and seven dollars.
Two dollars and six cents higher.
You're absolutely right.
No, your state is much more than every other state.
Exactly.
Two dollars higher.
Because they're screwing us.
There's no justification.
It's not regulation taxes.
Yes.
85 cents.
85 cents, low carbon fuel standard.
When you add the gas tax, you add cap and trade, and you add the low carbon fuel standards, and then periodically add, and I'm full, I'm being as transparent as I can be.
And you add our unique blend, you get a differential around 85 cents.
That you can justify, not $2.06.
That's where the oil is.
If you want to trust the oil companies, I can assure you, these guys don't have your back or the American people.
Let me tell you something.
When Donald Trump was president, gasoline prices nationwide never averaged $3 a gallon.
We didn't have to give back another million barrels.
We didn't have OPEC plus screwing us.
We didn't have a war in Ukraine.
We weren't lucky.
No, we weren't also going through this COVID supply chain reality.
So there was a lot of competing factors that led to some of this.
He made the country energy independent for the first time.
By the way, we're more than $85 years.
We are more energy dependent today.
Look that up.
It's a fact.
And if you know it's just factually intuitive.
Joe Biden is unilaterally disappointed.
The people watching.
Look this up.
Google 9.5.
Look at all the restrictions has put oil and gas company.
Pence doesn't know that.
Your audience doesn't know that.
More domestic oil production than any time in history.
We're on pace this year.
That's a fact.
You guys keep making that up.
No, we don't make it up here.
You're making it up.
We're energy independent, and now we're not.
No, we're not under any circumstances at all.
Yes.
Yes or no.
Will you ever ever accept the Democratic nomination to run for president in 2024?
Yes or no.
No.
All right, so that was uh in the spin room after the debate last night.
Uh 800 941 Sean, if you want to be a part of the program.
Uh all right, let's get to our busy phone.
Still a lot of reaction to the debate.
Uh David is in Florida.
David, hi, how are you?
Glad you called, sir.
Hi, Sean.
How are you doing today?
I'm good.
How are you doing?
Well, I'm doing fairly well.
It's a pleasure to speak with you because I'm a longtime follower.
Thank you.
Well, the pleasure is mine as well.
Glad you called.
Thank you for being out there.
Sean, I know there's a lot of people want to talk about the debate, and I'll be honest with you, I did not see it, and it's because of the fact I don't think it's really relevant or real important to me.
However, I did see the interview afterwards because I wanted to get some just insight as to what happened during the debate.
Um, and uh I did see the interview with Gavin Newson.
Um, tell me what what did you think of it?
Well, you know, Gavin he's he's he he epitomizes what a politician is.
He but you know, I love the term.
It actually happens to be one of Donald Trump's favorite terms.
Oh, straight out of central casting.
You know, he talks about individuals.
I'm like, yeah, this guy's Central Casting.
Remember they did the movie, Michael Douglas was in it.
He fell in love with Annette Benning.
Oh, yeah.
What is that movie called?
Uh you remember?
I do.
I'm obsessed with that American president.
You know who you know who could play that part?
Gavin Newsom.
I I think he could play it better than Michael Douglas.
He probably could.
Uh anyway, I di I digress, but you know, to me, those kind of moments, you know, if you try and get him to give you a direct so the borders are good, so Joe's really cognitively healthy.
You really believe that?
Because you know he doesn't believe it.
You know that.
Well, uh, you know, I don't know whether he knows he he doesn't believe it or not.
I don't really know.
But I what I do know is he's he's he's just out there lying.
He knows that the the you know the facts don't support it, but he also knows that his constituency will will will buy it because that's what they want to believe, you know.
So consequently he could get away with it, and that's what they do.
You know, but um anyway, uh Gavin is I think you know, he's he's he's playing a fine uh line right now between wanting to announce he's running for president or basically alienate alienating himself from the Democratic Party this time, because I think it's a matter of time before they realize that Biden's got to get out of there.
But anyway, that that's another topic.
I you know, my my call today was something I think was is a little bit more important, okay.
And that's um, you know, in the last year or so, we've seen a lot of attention by the Federal Reserve, by schools like MIT, and by the president, even about this um converting the dollars to central bank digital currencies.
Okay.
Now, in my opinion, this would be the final straw towards converting this country into a into uh basically uh communist country.
And you know, when they can control the money, is and that's exactly what I think uh ultimately this would allow them to do.
And they're gonna control the people, okay.
The people will not be able to turn around and say, okay, look at you know, we we we don't support this because the government is gonna have control of their money over them.
Now, who's going to do that?
The Chinese are doing that now, okay.
Now, uh my I I guess my question to you is, okay, uh, what do you feel about this?
Uh is this something that uh, you know, is is um I is a legitimate concern.
Do you think that this is possible that this can happen?
I think a lot of things can happen.
Uh you know, the way change occurs is there's got to be uh there's got to be a a swell of support and from the American people.
I mean, go back there's been certain moments that Republicans have we've had Republican waves, right?
The the Reagan wave was unique in and of itself, and and I would say in the modern era that that is you know that that that got conservatism, modern-day conservatism off its, you know, off to a great start.
Uh I'd say another wave was definitely nineteen ninety-four, and then New Gingrich with the contract with America.
Another wave would be twenty ten, and that would be the Tea Party movement.
Another wave would be Donald Trump and and him becoming president winning in twenty sixteen.
That was a big wave.
And you see how the left reacts to, you know, any conservative wave like this.
They lose their minds and and they've lost it since.
And you know, there's going to be this ebb and flow, unfortunately.
I don't know why the country has this compulsion to always somehow be persuaded back to, you know, the the socialist utopia, you know, womb to tomb, greater cater or cradle to grave ideology.
I don't know.
So I'm I I hope I'm really answering your question when I say we just got to win.
That's the only way changes are going to occur.
You're not going to convince Democrats that we shouldn't have amnesty, open borders, sanctuary state.
You're not going to convince them that it's a bad idea to defund and dismantle the police.
You're not going to convince them we should be energy independent.
Uh you're not going to convince them that that taxing Americans, you know, confiscatory tax taxation is is a bad thing.
Um I know it's a kind of roundabout way of answering, but does it make sense?
Well, it does, but it's still I at least to me.
It doesn't address the the question, okay.
Digital currency.
And we go back to the reason why I think this is important to the Democrats, because it plays right.
Yeah, because uh by the way, they say bye-bye to your privacy.
I mean, and that's that's part of what I'm saying too.
That's why the elections matter.
Conservatives don't want it.
I agree with you.
Okay.
And and you know, they're controlling a lot now.
Uh, and if they can control our money, the game is over, okay, for the country.
And the game is over for anybody that doesn't agree with they want to tell you what to eat.
They want to tell you what appliances you can have.
They want to tell you what cars to drive.
They want to tell you how to build your home.
They want to they the intrusion into our lives is all it's it again, is it's all cumulative together.
All of these things are bad ideas that are are frankly destroying the country.
But listen, I could talk to you forever.
Do me a favor.
Don't wait so long, David.
Call back again, will you please?
Hey Kev, thank you so much for taking my call.
