It's 800 941 Sean, if you want to be a part of the program joining us now, former Speaker of the House, author of, by the way, the book, uh a bestseller defeating uh big government socialism.
Um also a professor, but more importantly, a historian.
Uh Newt Ingrich is with us, Mr. Speaker.
How are you?
I'm doing well.
How are you?
Uh been an interesting time.
Yeah.
Let's get the fun let me ask you to put on your historical hat here, and as a historian, this had never happened before and get your reaction.
Well, I think you have to see this as part of a bigger picture.
Uh Donald Trump came out of nowhere to challenge the entire establishment.
Uh it is a stunningly corrupt system.
Uh, and I don't think most of us realized how really deep we knew it was biased.
I don't think we had any idea how really deeply corrupt it was until they decided that their very survival was at stake.
And starting in two thousand sixteen, they just methodically began breaking the rules.
Uh this latest indictment is just part of a long process of trying to destroy Trump because uh he is the major barrier to their dominating and controlling the rest of us.
And that's what people need to realize is the real target isn't Trump.
The real target is every single American who is supposed to believe that seven year olds get to decide their gender, that uh anti-white racism is acceptable, that uh having equity which guarantees that being competent doesn't matter anymore, uh is is acceptable, uh, and that uh they will define the language you were allowed to use.
Now, you know, that this is a straight out power grab by a militant minority, and Donald Trump was standing in their way, and this particular indictment, which is an absurdity, is you I I watched your show last night.
I mean, lawyer after lawyer comes on and says, This is crazy.
Uh there are there are no crimes in the 35 items.
The claim he that he's going to enforce federal law in terms of election law is nuts.
It's just totally hopeless.
Uh, and this whole thing is pure politics of the most vicious and narrow kind, which we normally associate with Venezuela or Zimbabwe or someplace else, but we don't think of it occurring in the United States of America.
You know, historically, I can look at this and look back at our history together, um, because I was the MC the night you became Speaker of the House.
It was the first time that Republicans uh took control of the House in in 40 years.
Uh a great night in my life.
You let me be a part of it, and I'm still to this day very appreciative of it.
And but they started in on you really, really quickly.
And before you were even the speaker, you were the Gingrich that stole Christmas.
Time magazine, which was actually a real magazine at the time, Newsweek magazine, which also was a real magazine at the time, uh, putting you on their front cover as Scrooge.
Uh and and it went downhill from there.
By February of that year, you decided you weren't going to talk to the press very much anymore.
And they demonized you and beat you up and slandered and smeared and besmirched you every step of the way.
And on top of that, they hit you with more ethics complaints that were were bogus and frivolous uh than anybody probably in history up to that point.
And that and now I can look back and say that was a preview of coming attractions.
Yeah, I look I I think the the shock of losing control after 40 years, the Democrats had two choices.
They could decide they screwed up or they could decide I cheated.
Well, they picked Newt cheated.
Uh uh but but as much as I and I I we did have a big impact.
I mean, you'll remember we shook the system so badly that Bill Clinton actually came to the State of the Union and announced the era of big government is over, and we have welfare reform and other things.
But and and the end of and the end of welfare as we know it.
Those were dram that was a dramatic turnaround on his part.
Right, and we ended up signing four consecutive balanced budgets for the only time in our lifetime.
But Trump's different.
Trump is a direct mortal threat to all of these huge bureaucracies.
And they are literally in a fight for their survival.
And they will break any law, uh, do whatever it takes, cheat whenever necessary, lie and steal.
I mean, it's astonishing.
You had fifty-one intelligence officers sign a letter defending Hunter Biden's laptop as a Russian fake when they knew it wasn't true.
Fifty-one officials in the intelligence community because they hate Trump.
They're they are so afraid of honesty.
And I I just sat to a meeting this morning talking about how we reformed the Pentagon, and uh the intensity of these big bureaucracies defending themselves and preserving the right to be incompetent and wasteful uh is just uh to me it's astonishing.
You see, one of the things I think they're trying to do is create what is nothing short of a legal tsunami that Donald Trump will have to deal with every day uh throughout the 2024 campaign.
Uh for example, in this case, um I I don't think it's set to come back up again except for motions that are going to be filed until December.
Well that's headed right into the Iowa caucuses.
Uh there's a civil case, uh a woman alleging a sexual attack in a changing room at a huge department store in New York City.
She doesn't know if it was ninety-five or some other year, she's not sure of the year, um, but he has to defend against that.
Then of course we have the Fulton County, Georgia issue, and I I have no doubt, I guess, after what Bragg pulled off, the odds are pretty high that they'll they'll pull out an indictment somewhere.
I've I've read that transcript three times, and I don't see any crime in that transcript when you put it in context at all.
Uh then who knows what the special counsel is looking into.
They say January sixth and the document issue at Mar-a-Lago.
Uh it seems to me that this is like a a cascading um, you know, document dump legal dump on Donald Trump's head.
How you know, how does he function and run a campaign under all of these legal issues?
Well, I mean, the remarkable thing about Donald Trump is that he will, in fact, uh block these off and and uh spend five percent of his time dealing with this stuff and ninety-five percent of his time becoming president again, and he has a remarkable capacity for concentrating.
Uh he's a very tough guy.
I mean, you know, I don't know of anybody else who could have gone through the last seven years and not eventually been just broken.
And yet he's still he's fighting, you know.
He could have he could have gone to Mar a Largo, dropped out of politics, and faced none of these problems because they would all have gone away.
Now, the problem the left has is when you create a martyr, you know, Joan of Arc, for example, who saved France, uh you you suddenly are increasing the psychological power of the person that you're going after.
Trump today, I mean, even people like um Mitt Romney and Jeb Bush have come out and said this is totally wrong.
And in a sense, what the what they're forcing people to do is choose between a corrupt system that's a threat to all of us and Donald Trump.
Well, he's gonna win that choice.
I mean, they would have been far better off to have been quiet, let him alone, and see whether or not he could get renominated in a normal environment.
Instead, they're creating an environment where anybody who criticizes him is gonna look like they're uh they're on the side of this corrupt, deeply entrenched uh establishment.
And I think that means in the Republican primary that he he's now ninety percent of the way to being the nominee.
So let me ask this question.
Um I've argue and have been arguing that these very specific issues that will probably impact the 2024 election.
We we don't know what they are, but I think the odds are are very heavy that it's gonna be about peace and prosperity as it usually is.
You see the Biden economy, you see two-thirds of Americans living paycheck to paycheck.
Um you you see predictions of a recession, uh, you see what China is now doing, uh, because America is now no longer the the leader of the free world in the absence of a real strong president.
Uh he's taken full advantage, uh, including sending a spy balloon all over the continental United States and Alaska and then of course Putin taking down a drone and then now we have China aligning with Russia and then we have Iran in the mix and the Chinese brokering deals with the Saudis and the Iranians and now the Saudis and the Syrians and and now he's trying to get a footprint in Latin America and in Cuba,
uh President Shi is, and and I'm looking at, you know, a new axis of evil, and I don't think America's prepared, and I don't think Joe can handle it.
Look, I think as long as Biden is in the White House, America's gonna get weaker, it's gonna become more dangerous.
I mean I'm delighted that the House Republicans have established with huge democratic support, by the way, a a select committee on China.
Uh I think you're gonna see the country more and more focused on what is it gonna take.
But it's our system depends upon a commander in chief who is competent.
Uh in terms of foreign policy.
Domestically, the Congress is dramatically more important.
But when you're dealing with national security and foreign policy, you have to have a commander in chief.
You know, not a whiner in chief, uh, not an avoider in chief, not an appeaser in chief, a commander in chief.
And no reasonable person thinks that Joe Biden's capable of command.
All right, quick break more with former Speaker of the House, New Kingrich.
Later on, Bill O'Reilly checks in with us.
Hannity tonight, nine Eastern.
We've got a great show for you tonight, audience show.
Hope you'll join us.
Nine Eastern, set you DBR, Fox News.
Uh, and we'll get to your calls at the bottom of the half hour, eight hundred nine four-one Sean, our number as we continue.
All right, we continue with former Speaker of the House, New Kingrich, author of the book, Defeating Big Government Socialism, uh, Amazon.com, Hannity.com, bookstores everywhere.
So I guess the question is, do you do you think in the end, um does this make him stronger as a candidate?
And I'm not just talking about in the primary.
I want to know in the primary, but it uh but also in a general election.
Well, I think it makes him stronger in both because it is gonna force the country to polarize between those who defend a totally corrupt, dishonest system and those who want to change it.
And if that's the choice, you're gonna see a lot of normal moderates shift to Trump just out of disgust at how corrupt and how dishonest the system has become.
And a realization, by the way, that if if they can get away with doing this to Trump, they can do it to anybody in the country.
Do you think that's really sinking in?
I did I did like the president's speech last night.
Number one, it was short, it was not that long.
Number two, uh I thought he was pitch perfect.
Number three, the con the it was a history level lesson in terms of all that they have done to him since the time he came down that escalator at at Trump Tower uh and made an announcement that he's running for president.
Right.
No, I th I thought it was one of his better performances.
He stuck to the script, he delivered it with the right tone.
I mean, he has to on the one hand be pretty strong, but on the other hand, he has to also sound very reasonable.
And do you think he accomplished that?
I I thought well, I I I thought he did, but I'm very biased.
I mean, Clista and I watched it together, and she likes him so much that you know she automatically assumed it was a great speech before he started.
No, but you know what?
There are other speeches, different cadence, different tone, different yeah, I thought it was actually pitch perfect in the considering the severity of the moment.
And and people that don't follow politics like like us, that they don't know all of these things.
The more Trump can be reasonable, the stronger he's gonna get.
And the more he allows the left to be extreme, the better off he's going to be.
And he doesn't want to measure his ability to use strong language against their ability.
He wants to be the person who represents the American citizen and is defending the American citizen against these corrupt, bad people.
And that's the right tone for him.
And I think if he can stick to that, the majority may become shockingly big by the time we get to November of 2024.
Is it okay if I task you with that job to encourage him and force him to stick to it?
I think I think you're perfect for that role.
Well, you you can fasten with encouraging, but you can't challenge me to make sure I do it.
Oh, I could task you with it.
You'll take the task upon yourself, but you're not gonna be graded on it.
Well, look, and he is his own person.
I mean, you know, he's he has survived because he marches to some inner drummer that is is remarkable.
But uh, but I as you know, I mean I routinely suggest to him that the more reasonable he is the stronger he is.
Which is the opposite of what people sometimes think.
He has a chance right now to coalesce.
An amazing percent of the country who are disgusted with how corrupt the system has become.
And the calmer he is and the more reasonable he is, the easier it'll be for people to decide that they're with Yeah.
Well, I think you're right.
I think it is that simple.
Uh former speaker of the house, author of the book, Defeating Big Government Socialism, Hannity.com, Amazon.com, bookstores around the country.
Uh, Mr. Speaker, this is gonna be an interesting uh election year, I'll tell you that.
Uh and Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, not far away.
Exactly right.
Good talking to you as always.
All right, Mr. Speaker, New Gingrich on the Sean Hannity Show.
800 941 Sean.

Linda uses hers even in the coldest of cold winter days and loves it.
Uh I'm not sure exactly how you you go from the house to the to the swim spa when it's you know zero degrees outside, but you do manage to accomplish it.
We do.
We go very quickly.
I would say it's a quick, brisk walk from this to the spa, but it's worth it.
Once you get to the master spa, you're so glad that you have it and it's open year-round because it's just a ton of fun.
What temperature do you like to set it at?
I mean, I sit I sit in it at 100 two.
It's really, really hard.
Whoa.
That's hot.
It's really hot.
The kids swim in like 70 or 80, but I'm sitting in 100 and two.
And the good thing is you have both options.
That's the best part.
Exactly.
Uh anyway, the Master Spa Swim Spa is a backyard makeover.

This is the Sean Hannity Show.
Hi, 25 to the top of the hour, 800-941 Sean, our number if you want to be a part of the program.
Uh, whenever you talk to any financial advisor worth their salt, they always talk about diversification.
You know, recently I I checked in with my my financial guy.
I said, Look, I I want to limit my exposure in the stock market.
He goes, I know you tell me every other day.
But I do, because I don't trust it.
And you know, all these smart people are predicting that you know what, this is the the calm before the storm, and I'm concerned about it.
But all throughout, once I started making a little bit of money in my life, I took a portion of my savings and bought gold and silver.
And I have it in a safe deposit box, and I'm glad I did it then.
I even got some gold at like, you know, three hundred dollars an ounce.
Crazy.
And I'm what I don't know what the latest is today, but anyway, it's uh it's a good hedge against, you know, what what look at these economic policies, war, inflation, a possible recession.
I mean, it's not good.
And that's why I want to talk to you about my friends at Gold Co.
Now do your own due diligence, talk to your financial people, and I partnered With them because I researched them and learned that they're a great company.
They have a great reputation in the precious metals market.
By the way, they're giving away up to ten thousand dollars in free silver.
Uh check for details while supplies last.
And all fans of this show, you might be able to receive a free Ronald Reagan silver coin.
Anyway, it's simple.
You know, we've had tough economic times, and guess what?
I like the fact that I have gold as part of my diversified portfolio.
Check it out, and they'll give you all the information you could ever want.
Uh and uh call them right now, Gold Co.
at 855-815-GOLD.
Do it before it's too late.
If you tell them Sean Hannity sent you, you could get a free Ronald Reagan silver coin.
That's 855-815 gold, eight five five eight one five G O L D. You know, with all the talk about Trump and Bragg and the economy that we we got into, you know, that we'll get into later in the program.
We mentioned earlier in the program.
You know, so the Chinese didn't want Kevin McCarthy to meet with the Taiwanese president.
It's none of their damn business.
And by the way, Joe Biden, what has he done in light of their hostile actions against us by sending their spy balloon?
He hasn't done a thing.
What has Joe Biden done with Vladimir Putin taking out one of our drones flying over international airspace?
Nothing.
He hasn't done a thing.
Is it a coincidence that the Biden family does uh business, you know, through Hunter and his various companies with China and Russia and what a dozen other countries according to James Comer?
When are we gonna find out how much money and business that the Bidens have done with the communist Chinese and the Russians uh as well as Ukraine and and all these other countries?
I'd like to know how much money did they do in business?
How much money did they get to put in their pocket as a result of these business deals?
Because I don't see a strong president with a strong response.
I watched the communist Chinese lecture us repeatedly about the site South China Sea.
Uh I watched the threats that Nancy Pelosi wanted to go visit the Taiwanese president and and their sent and their uh President Chi is out there talking about we are as a nation are preparing for war.
War with who?
We see the the their fighter jets flying over Taiwan airspace, nobody lifts a finger.
Joe doesn't do anything.
And then, of course, in the absence of American leadership, Joe is now basically missing an action.
Well, what's the net result of that?
You see a relationship now formed between President Chi and Vladimir Putin.
You see that they've brought in the Iranian mules with them.
You see that they've now brokered a deal but with the Saudis and the Iranians, they're brokering another deal with the Saudis and the Syrians.
That just means that Saudi Arabia decided America's checked out that we have given up that mantle as the leader of the free world, and we are showing zero strength at all, and and it's bad.
And the Epic Times had a piece today.
North Korea could attack South Korea in the event that China invades Taiwan.
What is Joe gonna do then?
I don't even think Joe knows where North Korea is.
I don't even think he'd understand what was actually going on.
It's that bad.
You know, by the way, we we had a report this week because all the other news we didn't really get to it, how Beijing with that spy balloon, quote, got real-time information while the U.S. waited to shoot it down, starting in Alaska, down through Idaho,
right over Montana, and our missile silos, and you know, all over, you know, right near all these military bases, you know, like uh Fort Leavenworth in Kansas and Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, and uh, you know, Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina, and the Naval Weapons Station joint base Charleston, South Carolina, and Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
This was not by accident or Malstrom Air Force Base in Montana.
They went there too.
They went flew over all of these places.
They got all the intel fed back in real time, and then they lied to us.
You know, so the Chinese spy balloon sending information back to Beijing the entire time that Joe Biden is meandering And doing nothing and trying to hide it from we the American people and then coming out with a lie.
Well it happened during during Trump's time time too.
We found out much, much later.
It was a short incursion, but it happened.
Not one person in the Trump campaign involved in national security agrees with that assessment.
You know, so what are we going to do?
Okay, the U.S. is boosting their military presence near Taiwan.
Is that you saying that if China invades Taiwan that Joe is gonna fight back and defend our our ally?
Because the answer is no, he's not.
Frankly, I'm I'm surprised it's taken Chi this long to make the decision.
I think he's already decided.
It's uh to me, it's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when.
And then, of course, the communist Chinese didn't want McCarthy to meet with Taiwan's president in California.
Uh Gordon Chang is a regular on Hannity, uh uh both the radio show and the TV show.
He's saying that China's ready for war.
America's ill prepared for it, and he said the one thing we know is China is making fast preparations for war right now.
Now he's with the Gatestone Institute, he's a senior fellow.
He said the great U.S. China Tech war is what he called it.
And, you know, we have the chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Mark Milley, 24 hours or 48 hours ago, said this was overheated rhetoric the way he put it.
But China's preparing to do whatever they feel like doing, and and they know that they have a weak leader by the name of Joe Biden, and there's not going to be any ramifications.
Has anybody been talking about Joe's hostage crisis?
Are we the only ones that have mentioned that Tony Blinken before Senate committee mentioned that yes, there are at least a hundred and seventy-five Americans that Joe remember he promised not to do this, that Joe abandoned in Afghanistan, and many are being held hostage.
Wall Street Journal reporter now is being imprisoned in Russia, raises questions.
Well, why was this guy targeted?
Well, maybe he was a spy after all.
No, he wasn't.
I doubt it.
And what's Joe doing to get him home?
Just like we had been saying long before they ever got a deal for a horrible deal for WMBA uh star, uh Brittany Griner.
I mean, thank God she's home.
I'm glad we got her out, but the deal was not fair.
And Joe's gonna spend apparently another two point six billion in U.S. military aid, and he's not gonna demand that Western Europe pay their fair share first, and he's not gonna take the handcuffs off and let Ukraine actually win the war, so it's a waste of our time and a waste of our money.
Uh all right, let's get to our phones.
Uh let us say hi to Mario's in the free state of Florida.
What's up, Mario?
How are you?
Hello there, Sean Hannity.
Yeah, yes, okay.
Listening to the radio?
Yeah.
I really, oh my goodness.
Uh, you know, as Donald Trump was being driven through the streets, I realized uh that that the Biden administration was doing what ancient armies actually did after defeating an enemy.
They were parading essentially the defeated general through the city.
That's what they used to do.
They would defeat the ancient armies.
You know, for the Biden administration, this was a propaganda coup.
And I'm sure I'm I'm sure that uh I'm sure that uh Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer were dancing a jig.
However, they they may have won the battle, but I'm sure they lost the war because Donald Trump is now the most popular presidential candidate America has ever seen in the last 248 years.
It's the largest campaign contribution that I think Donald Trump will get in this coming election cycle.
I believe that with all my heart.
Um what they're the but you've got to be careful here, and and I'm taking every one of these these le legal issues he's facing seriously.
I mean, I I truly believe that if they can, they would put him in an orange jumpsuit to stop him.
I think there's nothing they wouldn't do to stop him.
I mean, it's been obvious since the day he came down the escalator at Trump Tower.
Why would they stop now?
And he's got the this is a tsunami of you know that will drown everybody out if you had to face one legal issue after another after another after another, and all of these, you know, all of this legal crap is hanging over his head.
How do you run a campaign having to deal with all of that simultaneously?
I don't know.
I mean, I give him a lot of credit, one of the strongest men I've ever met, but that's going to be tough for anybody to conquer.
Uh and it's these are scary times.
This is not the United States that I believe in.
That's ruled and governed by a constitution ruled and governed by the rule of law that has and believes and practices equal justice under the law and equal application of our laws.
That that this is the stuff of a banana republic.
Maureen Callahan in the Daily Mail, you know, alone, somber, all grandi uh grandiosity gone.
Never has the great showman looked so diminished.
But this was not only the worst day of Donald Trump's life, it was the moment America became a banana republic.
Pretty profound.
Let's uh head out to Tennessee.
Charles next, Sean Hannity Show.
What's up, uh Charles?
How are you?
A lot of people moving into your state.
Yes, a lot of people moving in.
Just wanted to let you know, you were on yesterday and you said you read the indictment, and you said did with intent to defraud and to commit another crime.
What fraud?
Who did he defraud?
What crime?
Alvin Bragg deliberately drafted a skeleton indictment legally sufficient to stop the statute of limitations, but not enough to provide Mr. Trump with his Sixth Amendment right to know the cause and nature of the charges against him.
So now Trump's lawyers must go back to the New York court, file a motion for bill of particulars.
That's what we lawyers call it.
Motion for bill of particulars.
Who was he defrauding?
What crime was to be committed?
That'll be heard in what, six, eight weeks in a non-jury motion day.
Of course the judge will grant the motion, and he'll probably give Alvin Bragg about ninety days to provide the details that the defense is entitled to.
You bet.
On the eighty-ninth day, Alvin Bragg will drop an insufficient report that will require the Trump lawyers to file motion to compel.
That'll be heard in about six to eight weeks later.
And Mr. Brown will get Bragg will get perhaps uh ninety more days.
This is your last chance.
The Trump defense team will finally get their information about Easter of next year.
And until they have that information, they're not even in a position to file a motion for somebody judgment, motion to porch.
I uh uh uh you obviously you're a well-trained attorney, because uh I'm agreeing with every s thing you're saying.
And that never mind the statute of limitations that pass.
Never mind this is a novel legal theory never used before.
Uh never never mind that this is clear clearly selective prosecution, I believe prosecutorial misconduct.
We'll see over time.
Um but all these things come into play, and you know, the first thing that I would the first motion I would put forward too is a motion uh for a venue change, because I don't think Donald J. Trump can get a fair trial in New York City.
I don't.
That's a very difficult motion to advance.
A lot of judges don't listen to the lawyers tell them he can't get a fair trial.
They want the jurors.
And so if you try and seat a jury and the jurors in questioning say I'm a registered democrat and I donated to the campaign.
You only get a certain amount of people you can disqualify.
Exactly.
And then now we're into Christmas of next year before you could have a trial.
The goal is not to have a trial, the goal is to knock Donald Trump out of the race.
That's why I keep saying that this entire big picture, 40,000 foot, you know, view tells me that this is a lot bigger than Alvin Bragg.
And then you got the civil case, then you got possibly a Georgia case in Fulton County, then you got possible special counsel case, is who knows?
He's investigating two things.
I don't know what's gonna happen, but I suspect that there's gonna be a lot more from a lot of these people, and it should be concerning to everybody.
If you care about the if you care about our constitution, if you care about the rule of law, and then you look at the history of all the things that that the counterparts of Donald Trump over the years have done and gotten away with, and others have gotten away with, you you can't with a straight Face say that we have equal justice in application of our laws in the United States anymore.
You can't say it.
It's not true.
And that's a sad day for this country.
You know, Trump said to defund the FBI.
Now, the Judiciary Committee is looking into whether the FBI is politicized and the DOJ is weaponized.
If in fact it is, we're going to need a new three-letter agency and start again and build up the world's premier law enforcement agency as the FBI once was.
And those people that are committed to the principles of law and order and their mission, they should we should hold on to them.
Those people that have been in charge that have allowed, you know, the their this great organ great organization to deteriorate need to go.
And that goes for the DOJ.
You cannot weaponize justice in America and expect to have equal justice.
And this is unfortunately how I see it all.
This ought anyone with any sense of fair play has got to see it the way we do.
Anyway, I appreciate the call, my friend.
We'll continue.
Up next, our final roundup and information overload hours.
