What I told people, I was making a podcast about Benghazi.
Nine times out of ten, they called me a masochist, rolled their eyes, or just asked why.
Benghazi, the truth became a web of lies.
From Prologue Projects and Pushkin Industries, this is Fiasco Benghazi.
What difference at this point does it make?
Listen to Fiasco Benghazi on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Stay right here for our final news roundup and information overload.
All right, news roundup information overload hour.
Tollfree, our numbers 800-941.
If you want to be a part of the program, so a Washington examiner, I'm gonna get to a cut on this in a second.
A Washington Examiner report revealed that your State Department is now funding an organization that is waging a censorship campaign against conservative media.
Now, the they go on to say in in their piece, uh the department, the State Department, through various grants, has spent hundreds of thousands of your dollars on subsidiaries of what is known as the Global Disinformation Index.
That is a British organization that has urged companies to refrain from advertising on numerous, quote, right wing leaning websites, including the New York Post, the Daily Wire, Reason Magazine, the Washington Examiner.
In one case, they they brought up one of the columnists and they called it disinformation and an internal memo because the author took issue uh with what he viewed as uh excesses of transgender activism.
Um anyway, and then Amazon was identified as being at fault for an ad that appeared on the article's webpage.
Now, this is good we're talking here about government money censoring opinions that they don't like.
Anyway, the CEO of this group, uh, which is pretty this global disinformation index group is named Claire Melford, even bragging that an outlet being on the list had a significant negative impact on advertising revenue.
Now, while conservative outlets have been targeted, left left-leaning sites, they are not being targeted.
Uh GDI deems them among the least risky sites uh for so-called disinformation.
And the outcry, by the way, these are all the same people that for three years got the Trump Russia collusion hoax wrong.
The same people that uh, you know, had no problem saying the Hunter Biden laptop was misinformation.
And it goes on and on from there.
Anyway, fake news CNN citing this uh global disinformation index as a source from August of 2019.
Listen to this.
The disinformation economy is thriving.
That's according to a new report exclusively obtained by CNN ahead of its September release from the Global Disinformation Index.
And a sweeping look into nearly 20,000 domains, suspected of disinforming the public.
The report pegs revenue from programmatic ads placed on these sites at a whopping 235 million dollars annually.
That's a quarter of a billion dollars at a conservative estimate.
The GDI called the tally just the tip of the iceberg.
Talk to us about the methodology a little bit.
How are these numbers just the tip of the iceberg?
So we uh took our catalog of about 20,000 uh sites that we've cat that that we've collected that um we you know, we assess the having a risk of disinforming the public.
Uh among those, we we took a sampling and measured a number of different uh aspects of those sites, including the traffic, the um uh the ad tech ecosystem elements in which with with whom they interact.
Uh and we took we we tried to make as conservative an estimate as possible on things like how much money they make per visitor um and and what those traffic is.
So this is at least that number, and we should say some of the sites are outright fraudulent, some are catering to the extremes and and and and some of the ugliest elements of human nature, and others label themselves as satire, but they're trying to sort of skirt the rules.
Right, right.
Some label themselves as satire because it gets it lets them get away with you know sending out toxic narratives and messages that they can say, oh, we were only kidding.
I mean, you wouldn't think such a high-level sophisticated censorship movement is alive and well in a country that supposedly celebrates freedom of speech, but you know, anyway, it's State Department money going to the global disinformation index, which then gets interviewed by fake news CNN uh themselves disseminating more false information and fake news than than any in in modern history, especially with all things Trump.
Now there's one other story that is while not related to State Department money, should be could should be paid attention to as well.
Um I don't know how many of you have been reading about artificial intelligence.
Uh, but anyway, there's an artificial intelligence service called Chat GPT.
And anyway, they were asked, you know, yeah, you can actually request of the artificial intelligence write a story about Hunter Biden and the style of the New York Post.
Okay.
They wouldn't write that story because they call it disinformation.
The artificial intelligence answer was no, that's disinformation.
Write an article about Hunter Biden and the style of CNN.
What comes up?
A puff piece protective of zero experience hunter.
I mean, is is this now we we're already politicizing and putting the liberal bias in artificial intelligence?
Is is that going to be our future?
Anyway, uh Congresswoman Debbie Lesco of Arizona is with us to talk about this and some other issues here.
Why would the State Department be paying money towards a group with an obvious political axe to grind that is targeting conservative speech?
Well, it unfortunately it doesn't surprise me.
We're learning more and more about how um government is colluding with big tech social media companies, and now these so-called fact-checkers, which aren't really fact-checkers, they're biased.
Um it's a sad state of affairs.
It's a sad state of affairs, and that's why I'm so thankful that Republicans are in the majority in the U.S. House of Representatives, so we can start doing some investigations and get to the bottom of it.
Well, I mean, you're on the committee, as I understand with James Comer, the oversight committee, and and hopefully we'll get to the to the bottom of this.
Uh that seems like basically our own government is working against it's it's basically part of now what we know to be an ecosystem, and that is government weaponizing resources against conservatives.
Isn't that what happened in the lead up to the 2020 election with the FBI meeting regularly uh with big tech corporations, warning them that they may be victims of disinformation campaigns.
Uh those disinformation campaigns may be about Joe Biden, Hunter, Biden, etc.
And then the laptop story comes out and how convenient for all of them to be prepared not to run the story, to bury the story, to censor the story in the lead up to the to the presidential race.
Yeah, I mean, between James Comer uh in that committee, the Oversight Committee, and Jim Jordan on the Judiciary Committee, I think there's going to be some uh tough grilling of questions.
Uh, and we have to take advantage of this that we're in the Republican majority because for too long now, under Nancy Pelosi, we have not gotten any answers to how the government is interfering in um our lives and interfering in the biasness Against uh conservatives.
Uh now I'm serving on the select subcommittee on the coronavirus pandemic, and just on Monday, we sent out several letters, five letters, trying to get answers about the COVID origins, because I uh I interviewed or I I asked a question of the NIH acting director just last week, and he denies that any funding went to the Wuhan lab for coronavirus research.
Well, we're getting conflicting information on that.
So that's another whole area that we have to investigate.
Well, that's a big deal, and honestly, uh, I think we better get to the bottom of it.
My understanding was the NIH gave the Eco Alliance organization monies of which they did spend at the Wuhan Virology Lab.
Hasn't that been confirmed by this point?
Well, you would think so, but again, the NIH acting director just last week in committee, when I asked the question, said no, that there was no funding for that.
So there are definitely conflicting things here.
I think Dr. Fauci or Mr. Fauci himself even admitted that there was money that went to a subgrant from Eco Health to the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
And so that's why our committee, um, and Comer signed on to the letter, and Dr. Winstrop, who's the chair of the subcommittee, and myself, and we asked Dr. Fauci, Peter Um Dasick, who's the president of Eco Health Alliance,
and the director of national intelligence, and the uh Francis Collins, who now works for the president, but was the former in NIH director, and Secretary of HHS, Burst Vasera.
We asked them for documents, communications, calendar notes, test of we want testimony, we want interviews, we want to interview 29 HHS officials.
And so this is we asked for this information when we're in the minority, and now that we're in the majority, we ask for it again, and we s re expect that we'll get the answers.
We'll we'll find out, won't we?
Yeah, well, they've been dodging and ducking Jim Jordan's committee, uh, and they've been uncooperative.
Uh the same thing with Jim Comer's committee.
He was on TV last night telling me that he's got no option now.
The the Biden family syndicate won't cooperate, so they've now got to send out subpoenas and and work their way through that process, which doesn't surprise me.
Uh I would imagine that whatever uh is necessary has to at some point be forthcoming.
Um, you know, considering the amount of money that we're talking about and the president's inability to deal with China, I think it's a legitimate question to know how much money the the Biden family may have made in deals with China.
I think that's a pretty fair question.
All right, quick break more with Congresswoman Debbie Lesco of Arizona on the other side.
Then we'll get to your calls 800, 941 Sean, our number if you want to be a part of the program as we continue.

This is Dianity Show.
Continue with Congresswoman Debbie Lesco, great state of Arizona is uh with us.
Yeah, your State Department is now funding an organization waging a censorship campaign against conservative media.
Uh what do what do you make of the uh balloons flying all over the country, or at least the one that we know flew from Alaska to Idaho to Montana to Kansas to Missouri to Kentucky to the Carolinas, and the fact that we don't even have a clue what the other three objects were that we shot out of the sky, but we shot them out of the sky anyway, and they just say that well, they don't think it's related to China.
Do you buy that?
No, I don't buy it.
And you know, quite honestly, it's hard to know what what the truth is, because you have um we we got intel information uh saying that these balloons flew over before, even under Trump, and they never told Trump, they never told Biden,
but then on the other hand, you have the general of NORAD saying um we couldn't even identify, we didn't even see the Chinese balloon, but yet then you have the spokesman for Department of Defense saying, Oh, we saw it and we knew all along what it was doing, and so we were just monitoring it.
I mean, everybody's telling a different story.
It doesn't add up.
They're not telling the truth to Congress members.
They're apparently not even telling uh the president of the United States, and it makes you wonder who the heck is running our country here.
And and between that, the CDC, the terrible withdrawal from Afghanistan, the border crisis, I mean, I I work for the government, but I don't trust the government.
And it's a sad state of affairs.
I was um on Judiciary Committee during the first impeachment of uh Donald Trump, and it really opened my eyes about how there are bad actors in the agencies, including the FBI and DOJ, and it's it's up to Congress to do oversight, and that's it hasn't been done under Pelosi, and we plan to do it now.
Well, I hope it gets done.
Uh I think we got to get answers to simple questions.
Uh the I uh you know, the lying and inconsistency is is obvious to me.
The thought that our our own air force would be shooting down objects and they don't even know what they're shooting at is incomprehensible to me.
Uh the idea that they'd be so quick to say, but it has nothing to do with China, very unlikely that that's not that doesn't make sense either.
Uh the fact that the administration says that the balloon that was flying all over the continental U.S., uh not a major breach, uh, that doesn't make sense.
Uh none of this is making any sense to me.
And and I think we're we're creating a uh situation where the Chinese kind of feel emboldened, like they can do whatever they want, and there's not going to be any consequences at all.
Well, I miss President Trump on this because I think President Trump would have been very strong.
Unfortunately, our current president has displayed weakness, um, and it and especially in the with terrible withdrawal in Afghanistan, where they promised that they wouldn't leave Americans and they left Americans, and it just seems total incompetence.
I mean, Americans no longer trust our federal government.
And when you talk about whatever issue, whether it's COVID, um, we gotten all kinds of different information on COVID, uh, and they you know, the government mandates um on the vaccines and shutting down schools, or whether you're talking about now these Chinese spy balloon, why didn't they shoot it down uh in the Pacific Ocean before it reached um the United States of America?
I don't know that we're ever gonna know.
I hope that we can get to the bottom of it, but quite frankly, I don't have a lot of trust because I remember being in a briefing with the Secretary of State, uh, and this was uh, you know, about the Afghanistan withdrawal.
And I remember him promising us, members of Congress, that there would be not one American left behind, and then there was.
And so it, you know, when somebody doesn't tell you the truth about that, you start wondering about everything they say.
I think I couldn't say it any better.
Congresswoman Debbie Lesco, uh, Arizona, we appreciate you being with us.
Thanks for the updates on all of this.
800-941 Sean, our number if you want to be a part of the program.

It's almost a dirty word.
One that connotes conspiracy theory.
Will we ever get the truth about the Benghazi massacre?
Bad faith, political warfare, and frankly, bullshit.

You want to be a part of the program.
We'll get to your calls here in a minute.
Most people don't know.
You know, people are out there far all over the world trying to steal your home.
That's right.
They steal the title to your home.
Your title is actually online, the deed to your home.
And then all these thieves do is they forge a signature on a document and they claim that you sold them your home.
Then they borrow tons of money against your home, or they sell it to foreign investors.
And guess what?
You're not going to find out about it until they're long gone, and you get a late payment notice or a foreclosure notice.
And you might not know that homeowners insurance and many uh common identity theft programs do not protect you.
Now I want to tell you about home title lock.
They put a virtual shield around your home's title, and the instant they detect any suspicious activity, they will mobilize to shut it all down for you.
Um anyway, the first thing you need to do is verify that your home is still in your name.
They will give you a free, no obligation, uh registry for 30 days, free protection at home title lock.com.
Promo code Sean.
That's Hometitolock.com.
Promo code Sean and don't let your home be stolen.
Uh I think John Kennedy has to, he's up there as just one of our our most favorite senators uh in the U.S. Senate today.
Anyway, he has this climate witness and ask this climate witness how much uh will spending 50 trillion dollars lower temperatures if India and China do nothing, and then ask the climate witness if he believes Jimmy Hoffa died of natural causes.
If we spend 50 trillion dollars to make the United States of America carbon neutral by 2050, how much will that lower world temperatures?
I can't ask that because we don't know what China and India and the rest of the globe has done.
Okay.
Have you had heard anybody from the Biden administration say how much it will lower world temperatures?
No.
Does anybody know how much it won't lower world temperatures?
No?
No.
No one for sure.
Okay.
Dr. Litterman.
Yes.
If we spend $50 trillion, or however much it takes to make the United States carbon neutral by 2050, how much will it lower world temperatures?
Senator, that depends on the rest of the world.
We have to work with the rest of the world.
We're in this together.
Well, one world.
We can't move a wall around the United States and say what if what if we spend $50 trillion, Europe cooperates, most Western democracies cooperate, but India and China don't.
How much will our $50 trillion lower world temperature?
We're in this together.
Senator, we have to get the world to work together.
How much I understand I get that.
Okay.
How much will it lower world temperatures?
If China and India do not help.
Yes.
I don't know.
Dr. Lutherman, do you do you believe based on your observation?
You seem to be a very intelligent, well-informed man, based on your observation of Dr. Chi of uh uh Mr. Xi Jinping.
That Mr. Xi Jinping will ever do anything that is uh inconsistent with China's best interests in the name of global climate change.
I understand that China has a federal carbon tax.
Okay.
Yeah, but but faced with a policy, okay, where China does something that's not in its best interest, but it does it because it's in the global best interest.
Do you think President Xi would do that?
I think that President Xi understands that we have to work together to address this global problem.
Yes, I do.
And it will be in the best interest of China to work with the United States to address the interest.
So you think the answer is yes.
I think the answer is that it's in China's best interest to work with the rest of the world to address this problem, as it is in the United States' best interest to work with the rest of the world to address this problem.
Do you create harmonized incentives to repeat?
You believe in the tooth fairy?
No, sir.
Do you believe in the Easter bunny?
No, sir.
You believe that Jimmy Hoffa died of natural causes?
No, sir.
Okay.
Thank you, Mr. Chairman.
Nobody does it quite like him.
Uh all right, let's say hi to Marion is in Mississippi.
Marion, hi, how are you?
Glad you called.
Thanks for checking in.
Hi, Sean.
What an what an honor it is.
And Wow, honors all mine.
What's going on?
Well, I'm glad you've lived in the South so that you understand and interpret a southern accent.
So we we can I I do, but you know what?
I'm not I don't make fun of the Southern accent.
I make fun only of Linda's accent.
We keep it very specific.
I've noticed that, definitely.
Well, what I called about is I uh am probably one of the first women in Mississippi to get a private pilot's license when I was twenty one years old.
Is that right?
You like flying airplanes?
Yes, I'm not ashamed to say that I'm sixty-eight now.
But it was just uh uh something for pleasure.
My father was a B seventeen pilot in World War II and a true war hero, and he was my hero, and I wanted to be just like him, so I learned to fly.
My brothers were never interested.
Now do you still fly today?
I have I have not uh Sean, I can barely afford to buy gasoline for our expedition EL.
I get it.
They're like everybody else, the two thirds of America live in paycheck to paycheck.
I get it.
So I mean, I can't come up with the three fifty to five hundred dollars to fill up a Cessna, so no, it's parked.
But anyway, uh what I called you about was this.
When you fly privately, and of course commercially, you have something on board called a transponder.
That transponder is sending a signal to an air traffic controller.
With that, the air traffic controller has your tail number and they know what altitude you're flying.
These balloons, if they don't have electronics on board, they are not required to have a l uh transponder.
But if they do have electronics on board, they are required to have one, or if they fly above eighteen thousand feet, I think it is.
Okay, I'm starting to wonder, and I heard a man yesterday on your show who sounded almost hysterical that we are being told that they have no idea what these balloons are.
Don't believe that for one second.
I don't.
Well, there's uh w we have we have no evidence whatsoever to believe the news story, which is oh, they they were following this balloon prior to it even uh getting over any airspace in Alaska.
I don't believe that.
Uh that only came, you know, yesterday.
But what came before that was they had no clue.
We still have no answer as to the other three objects that they shot down.
They can't give us an answer or won't give us an answer.
Um but by all accounts they didn't know about this first balloon in until it was over Montana, and Steve Daines pointed this out the other day, the senator from Montana, uh, that it was a a Billings Montana, you know, reporter with a telephoto lens.
They got the picture of it that made everybody aware of it.
What when they knew about it, we don't know.
Why they didn't tell us if they did know about it, we don't know.
Why they're shooting down things that they can't even identify what they are, I don't know.
None of this is making any sense, and I think we're being lied to on a pretty sophisticated level.
Well, I don't know how sophisticated their lives are because th one person says one thing, one says another.
We've been uh i if you're gonna be a liar, you've got to have a really good memory.
And they're not going over their lives very well, their talking point at all.
So now we know the Department of Justice lies to us, FBI lies to us, the president lies to us, and I'm afraid now that they've got the military operation lying to us about this, trying to save our failings.
And I think the thing is they're trying to save faith on that first balloon.
They probably shot down some weather balloons at 400,000 a pop that it cost to shoot those things out of the sky.
I wouldn't doubt that.
I I just none of it makes sense, and I believe a lot of what we're hearing now is to try to cover up for the initial failure.
The initial failure being uh not taking the first balloon out of the sky as soon as it was identified.
And that was the big mistake.
And you know, shooting three objects out of the air, um, you're right, with you know, four hundred thousand dollar weapons makes absolutely no sense if you haven't even identified what it is you're shooting at, but that's what they want to have us believe.
Well, something sinks with this whole story.
It does.
You're you're you're you're right on the money.
Listen, I I hope I hope you're able to hope the price of fuel and jet fuel comes down soon and you can get back up in your airplane and uh and fly around again.
Sounds like you really love it.
Listen, I'm just I'm just glad to be able to drive my expedition around.
Well, you can fly around in that as much as you want.
Uh hopefully gas prices will stay uh on the lower side, although they've been going up again lately, uh, which is not fun for anybody.
Anyway, Marion, you sound lovely.
We appreciate you being out there, God bless you.
Great observations.
Uh Denny is in Pennsylvania.
Denny, how are you?
Glad you called, sir.
Hey, how are you doing?
Yeah.
I'm good, what's up?
I just my question is like, I just thought one of the why.
We got we have a president that committed treason in Afghanistan.
That was downright treason.
But yet they don't say that.
You'd say, oh, it's a catastrophe.
It was treason, Sean.
Okay.
The guy I I listen, I don't know what it I don't know if I'd use the word treason, but I will tell you this.
You know, Donald Trump, we didn't lose a single American in Afghanistan for the last 18 months of his presidency.
And the warning, and and he told me this in numerous interviews.
Before they ever discussed America pulling out of Afghanistan, that would that would have included Bagram Air Base.
That would have been in our control.
Number one.
Number two, the Taliban was told they better stay right where they are, or he's gonna blow them out into smithereens.
And they believed him.
The the great tragedy of what happened with this disastrous pull-out is the Taliban were on the march for months, and they waited until the the the Karzai Airport was surrounded before they you know decided to make the move to start getting Americans out.
Um they should have pushed back on the Taliban the minute that they began their their movement north towards Kabul, but they didn't do it.
And as a result, this this is the tragic ending of their utter complete idiotic incompetence.
At best.
I mean, innocent people died because of their stupidity and their lack of preparedness.
I just know one thing.
Trump didn't have he this is another thing.
This man took out the the worst terrorists there was.
Okay.
Yeah, yeah.
Why did they think why do they have to say, well, Trump started this uh withdrawal?
Not like that.
He was gone.
Okay, they like they couldn't wait to get him the hell out of there because of that.
Okay.
Another thing is people running against him.
So I'm gonna tell you something.
I'll tell you straight out.
I'm gonna be very upset if you play kept Mickey Haley on your show.
These people that are run, why would anybody want to run against him.
Why don't you let them have his four years so he can come in and do the damage?
And then he walked Listen, you got you gotta understand something.
There is whether you like it or not.
I mean, it's it's it's called freedom.
There's nothing to stop anybody that wants to run in a primary.
Now, if you ask me uh what the odds are of anybody whose names were out there hearing running for the nomination, uh, I would say the two names you know the the one name, the obvious front runner would be former president Trump.
Uh Ron DeSantis is very, very popular.
Um, whether he's getting in or not, I don't know.
I I think he's a natural air apparent to the president.
I think his policies are very similar.
I think stylistically they're both very big fighters.
Um, but I mean, I don't there's nothing that anybody's gonna say that's gonna keep them out of of the race, and it's just part of the process, and you're just gonna have to accept it whether you you know, but you made up your mind, so you're gonna go out and fight for the for the president and and get him the nomination again.
I hear where you're coming from.
Uh they're just they're swaying votes, like the don't have been have a police here.
Now, so that would that really be fair for Trump if the Santa would come in and he got McCartney.
When if Trump had McCartney when he first came in.
Think about that.
I'm not sure what what do you mean?
What are you talking about, McCarthy?
Well, I'm saying is you've got you've got a Republican house now.
Maybe you got a repla uh a Republican uh speaker.
So Trump didn't have that.
You see what I'm saying?
That's what I'm saying.
Listen, I've been through too many of these campaigns over the years.
People are going to do what they want to do.
Look, I wouldn't be surprised.
I think Chris Christie's preparing a run.
I think Larry Hogan's preparing a run.
There's a lot of speculation that Senator Tim Scott might be preparing to run.
Uh some have suggested Ted Cruz may make another run at it as well.
Uh then you hear Yunkin, then you hear DeSantis.
Um I have no idea who's getting in and who's not getting in.
But ultimately, you know, it's it's going to be Republicans and conservatives that decide who the nominee's gonna be.
Anyway, I hope that answers your question.
