All right, Leonard Skinner, simple man, self-proclaimed simple man, Bill O'Reilly.
All things O'Reilly of billoilly.com as he joins us now.
Mr. O'Reilly, happy new year, sir.
How are you?
I'm running for Speaker of the House, Hannah.
You might win.
I think I would if I went in there and talked some sense into these pinheads.
Come on, let's go.
By the way, I do think the one guy that would probably be liked by everybody on all sides, maybe not, I don't know, would be Jim Jordan.
What do you think?
I think Jordan would be overwhelmed if he was Speaker and then has to head up the committee that's going to be investigating the FBI and doing a bunch of very, very important things for America.
And I think he knows it.
He doesn't want to be an administrator.
He wants to be an advocate.
So I don't think that's a good solution for the country.
It might be a good solution for the Republican Party.
But I would much rather have the head of the oversight committee really delving into this political corruption that's harming our nation.
Well, that's in the judiciary.
He's going to be investigating whether the judiciary, right?
When he.
He'll be looking into whether or not the FBI is politicized and the DOJ is weaponized.
We have now the Twitter files show a lot of evidence that, in fact, the FBI that received, they gave $3.5 million to Twitter.
I want to know how much money they might have given to other companies, but they were telling all these companies, oh, you might get this information.
And it might even be about Hunter Biden in the lead up to the 2020 election.
To me, Bill O'Reilly, that's putting your thumb on the scale of an election with the FBI having, should he should be having no involvement.
Listen, Jordan's a bulldog, and he knows exactly what the issues are here.
And I would much rather see him in there than dealing with, you know what you have to deal with when you're the Speaker of the House?
Everybody who has a complaint, you're drowned in paperwork.
I want a bigger office.
I want to be on this subcommittee.
Let me ask you this.
I'm more angry at Senate Republicans.
And let me tell you why, Mr. O'Reilly, is because with the new House Republican leadership coming in, all the Senate Republicans didn't have to go along with this $1.7 trillion spending orgy with the Democrats.
You know, Mitch McConnell walking arm in arm with Joey Biden today to celebrate the spending orgy.
And I'm thinking I'm more angry at that because I really believe at the end of the day that the Republican agenda in the House is set.
Every investigation is going to take place, and their commitments to America can't be any more clear.
And whoever is Speaker with the motion to vacate as an insurance policy, they're going to follow the agenda.
But that's what's holding Kevin McCarthy back.
The Republican conservatives, you know, the hardline right in the House, believe that McCarthy is a reincarnation of Mitch McConnell and that he'll go along with this insane spending.
That's what this is all about.
It's about government spending out of control and massive waste of taxpayer money.
That's what the issue is.
It doesn't have anything to do with anything else.
But the Freedom Caucus that I've always supported is getting more assignments.
More than half of the Freedom Caucus are supporting McCarthy.
And you have a group of 200-plus Republicans up against 20 Republicans.
Why should the 20 win?
Well, I don't know about that.
I mean, you're going by the rules of the House.
But I do know this: that spending is the issue.
And the 20 don't trust McCarthy.
They think he's McConnell.
So McConnell welcomes President Biden to Kentucky today.
This was organized by the White House, not by McConnell's office.
The White House is using McConnell and the other Republicans who showed up today for this infrastructure thing.
They're using them to legitimize Biden's massive spending.
Biden, since he's been in office less than two years, has spent $6.2 trillion of money that America does not have.
That's new spending, $6.2 trillion.
Far, in a way, more than any other president.
Do you know who the number two spender was?
No idea.
Obama, 2.8, first two years.
So Obama broke the record for spending in his first two years at $2.8 trillion.
Biden's at $6.3 trillion.
More than double.
I mean, it's insane.
It is insane.
What has ignited inflation?
It's a big part of it.
It definitely raises the money to cover the payments because they don't have the money in the Treasury, and that deflates the dollar.
And that means everything costs.
But the one thing for the 20 Republicans that, and I'm a Trust but Verify guy, that are concerned, up until about three days ago, Kevin McCarthy did not want to give them the motion to vacate with a low threshold of only five votes.
So in other words, if he deviates from his stated agenda and pledged agenda and he goes rogue, there's a mechanism by which they can get rid of him.
Look, there are many checks and balances on all of these people, but McCarthy failed to convince not only the 20 dissenters, but a lot of Americans who are conservative that he is on their side.
They see him as a swamp creature.
You'd agree with that, Robert.
I think those 20 do for sure.
I don't believe that he is ⁇ I don't put him in the same category as I do the Senate Republicans that voted for this monstrosity.
I think House Republicans agenda, the commitments to America, is the America first agenda.
I'm talking about is a perception perception is about the 20 have that perception Right.
So he has, McCarthy has a perception of being this slick guy, Mitch McConnell Light, who's going to go along with all of this crazy spending.
That's what's killing him.
So somehow McCarthy has got to enclosed confines to convince these 20 people that he's going to do the exact opposite, that he's going to be a fiscal warrior.
Now, I don't know whether these people, look, there are loons in Congress on both sides.
You know them, Hannity.
They're lunatics.
You know, the problem is some of them are friends of mine, but go ahead.
Well, you know, they have a lot of people.
But I'm friends with you too, O'Reilly.
So, you know, hang in there.
What do you think?
Like, I like Byron Donalds.
Do I think he's ready to be Speaker?
I don't.
He's a great congressman, and I think he's got a great leadership future.
But I think the one consensus guy would be Jordan, and I think you're right.
I kind of agree with you.
And by the way, he agrees with you because I asked him a number of times, including yesterday.
He doesn't want it.
If I were in Congress, I would vote for McCarthy.
Because just as you said, if he screws up, they can get him out.
Yeah, exactly.
All right, let me ask you some other questions.
It's a new year.
Does Bill O'Reilly make New Year's resolutions?
Yes, I've resolved to continue to be the nicest guy I can be.
What's the standard?
How do we judge that standard?
It's pretty challenging, you know, and I have to say, in the last 30 years, I've made the same resolution.
I don't think I've ever lived up to it.
Look, I'm approaching the end of my career.
I can hear the applause now on the Hannity Radio Show.
Oh, man.
I'm not going to be around that much longer.
But while I am here, I'm just going to tell the truth.
I don't care.
Well, let me ask you, when you say I'm not going to be around much longer, are you talking about that you're looking at your mortality?
No, I mean, yeah, I've never feared death ever.
Someday I'll tell you the story about how I almost was killed in covering the Falklands War in Argentina.
And at the moment that I thought I was going to get my head blown off, literally, I wasn't afraid.
But it's not about mortality.
It's about, look, we have a changing media, Hannity.
You and I have discussed this off the air.
Everything is changing, okay?
And do I want a dependent news out there?
And it's worldwide now.
We've expanded into radio.
It's really working.
But everything is changing.
And the other thing is, do I really want to work this?
I want to work as hard as Joe Biden.
That's my goal.
I want to work.
That means you have one public appearance a day, Bill, for 10 minutes.
Let me ask you this, because things are very interesting to me.
I'm fascinated at what I call this accelerated migration going on around the country.
And we now have the latest U-Haul study out, and Democratic-run New York, California, they're flocking to lower tax places like Texas and Florida.
I'll add to that, Tennessee and the Carolinas, but the states people are moving to, number one, Texas, number two, Florida.
They're moving out of New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Michigan, Illinois, and the number one state they're moving out of the most, California.
And it makes economic sense in a time where the American financial portfolio is shrinking, where most people are living paycheck to paycheck and have no power in the marketplace, you can't exist in a state that's going to take most of your money away.
And so you have to leave.
And why do you stay in New York?
I asked you this years ago.
Well, because I have family concerns here.
There are airplanes, Bill.
They're called JetBlue.
Yeah, but I'm a hands-on guy, and, you know, and I have friends here, and I have a vested interest in Long Island where I live, and I'm fighting like hell.
The Zeldon thing was tough.
Zeldon should have won the governorship here.
And to watch another four years of Hokul, that could drive me down, you know, and I'd go to Florida because I used to teach high school there.
Let me ask you this: so Hokul has now made it legal in New York to take dead human remains and compost them.
Right.
Now, could you imagine putting grandma in a compost pile with alfalfa and, oh, I don't know, hay and dirt, and then using it to grow your crops next year, Bill, and the beautiful flowers that you plant every year.
Well, I'm worried about the ladies on the view being composted.
I don't think that's fair.
Oh, ouch.
Be nice.
By the way, you were friends with Barbara Walters, I was, and it was sad.
You know, Barbara Walters really got hell from the ABC news guys, Harry Reisner and the boys, and really unfair and cruel and was disciplined enough, Barbara was, to get through it and prosper.
And she had a speech impediment, and she was a person who at the time was considered overly aggressive for a female.
And she just succeeded beyond anybody's expectations.
And I respect that so much.
And when she ran The View, as you know, because you were on the program, I went on that show a dozen times at least.
I went on a few times.
I hated it.
Yeah, I didn't because she was there and she regulated.
Now, I was fighting Rosie O'Donnell, Bill.
It was a waste of my time.
That's just insane.
But I said, I was a subject yesterday on The View.
They did my walkout, the walkout when I said a mosque should not be built on the site of the World Trade Center.
And I mean, that, you don't, I shouldn't even have to ever say that, but that's how crazy it got on The View.
Well, I'll say this.
I mean, Barbara was an honest woman, and I respected her.
You and Cindy Adams, I think, have given the best tribute to her of anybody.
Cindy wrote a great column yesterday.
BillO'Reilly.com, all things, Bill O'Reilly.
Thank you, sir.

One of the more repulsive things that I read today is Democratic Representative-elect Corey Bush of Missouri attacked Republican-elect Byron Donalds of Florida, an African-American.
His name has been brought up as an alternative to Kevin McCarthy.
He's only getting about 19, 20 votes every time.
But anyway, he's a wonderful guy and I think he has an incredible future ahead of him in terms of politics.
But went on to call Byron Donalds a prop and supports an agenda upholding white supremacy.
You know, in this world of cancel culture, just imagine for a second Republicans saying this crap.
I go back to what I said to Bill O'Reilly here, this idea that the Republican senators going along with this spending orgy of $1.7 trillion and McConnell being used by Biden and company and this photo op today.
And meanwhile, we have the worst market since 2008.
On top of that, we have Joe Biden's tax increases, $10,000 average Biden inflation tax.
Now he's taxing $6.5 billion for natural gas, $12 billion for crude oil.
He's also taxing $74 billion on stock taxes.
Then a $225 billion corporate income tax hike.
Corporations don't pay taxes.
You do.
A $1.2 billion coal tax.
He's killing the poor, the middle class, and people on fixed incomes, but everybody cares about, well, the battle for speaker.
Your calls are next.

So it's getting interesting.
I mean, eventually one day we'll get a Congress.
It's, you know, I am not as wigged out as everybody else seems to be.
I'm not as fascinated because I know what the agenda ultimately is going to be.
It is now baked in.
This is an agenda as baked in as any as I've ever seen in my life in terms of where the Republican Party is going when they finally swear in members, get their speaker, and move forward.
And one of them has to do with, and we had him on TV last night, James Comer and his investigation, and that is into President Joe Biden.
Now, he didn't say it will involve Hunter, but the investigation is about Joe Biden.
Joe Biden lied when he told the American people repeatedly that he'd never talked to his son Hunter at all, ever, about his foreign business dealings.
Maybe that's why he fought so hard to get the Ukrainian prosecutor investigating his son fired and leveraged a billion taxpayer dollars.
We have pictures, we have photographic evidence, we have evidence of meetings with Hunter and Joe and foreign business partners.
Anyway, so our friend Peter Ducey yesterday asked if Biden lied about his family business dealings, knowing the truth now.
Listen, the House Oversight Committee is laying out their new investigations, and they claim to have evidence that Joe Biden lied to the American people about his involvement in his family's business schemes.
Did he?
So, look, I've said this before, and I'll say it again.
House Republicans promised that fighting inflation during the midterms was going to be their number one priority.
That's what they said was important to them, and that's what they said that they wanted to do.
But instead, what they're doing is wanting to do an investigation on the president and his family.
That is their focus.
They don't want to focus on the American people and their family.
They want to focus on political division.
All right.
So they don't want to answer, but that'll all happen.
And that's why I know this is frustrating for many of you.
I know many of you want to take sides.
But here is the truth and the reality.
When this Adam Schiff show is all over and it will be over, these investigations are baked in.
Jim Jordan in the judiciary will be investigating whether your FBI has been politicized, whether your DOJ has been weaponized.
And Jim Comer is going to investigate President Joe Biden and Hunter Biden and all the information that proves that Joe Biden lied.
And they'll look into the serious charge of influence peddling and will follow the money, and that's where it's going to get most interesting.
We'll look into the origins of COVID-19.
We'll look into the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.
We'll look into border security.
Republicans will be looking to advance their commitments to America agenda one way or the other.
It's like everybody agrees on all of those things, Which makes a lot of this pretty silly and an exercise in futility, but let them do their thing in Washington.
That's what they're good at.
How many times, Linda, have I said, never underestimate the Republicans' ability to create a circular firing squad and mess things up?
You say it a lot.
A lot.
I say it all the time.
Yes, you do.
And, you know, this is just one of these examples.
That is baked in with an insurance policy that's called the motion to vacate if McCarthy or whoever's speaker doesn't follow through on the promises.
I'm telling you, it's baked in.
But, you know, we can sit here and argue about that all day.
Let's hit our busy phones.
Let's say hi to Kevin as in the great state of Georgia.
Kevin, how are you?
Glad you called, sir.
No, thanks for taking my call.
Thank you.
First, I'd like to say that I want them to investigate COVID.
Millions maybe died around the world.
I don't know how many.
But investigate that.
That's really important.
They've never done anything to any political guy that's way high up that they've caught doing anything wrong, except maybe Oliver North.
And he was a military guy.
And Nixon.
Name anybody else.
I don't think they got Oliver North on anything.
In the end, everything was.
They ruined his career, you know.
You know what?
I can tell you this.
He's a friend of mine.
They didn't ruin his life.
They tried, but they didn't.
Not his life, but his career.
Not really.
I mean, Ollie North went on to have become a best-selling author, syndicated radio host, part of Fox, and had an incredible run with his series about heroes and war.
I think he's had a great success.
That's fine.
But, you know, they brought him up there, ran him over the coals, had a good time with him.
But, you know, with this going on, I think it's a good thing.
First of all, it shows that we're tired of business as usual, and that's what I believe they are doing.
And it's going to be the same thing.
You mentioned everything except for COVID just a second ago.
That's more important.
How many people have to die before it's important to investigate it?
That's the thing.
I want to know who started it.
And if we prove that those people started it and those people lied about it, and point the fingers and actually let everybody know.
That would be important.
And let them know that, hey, when we had both houses of Congress, we've done nothing.
When I say we, I'm a conservative.
Okay, that's just me.
But, you know, nothing gets passed.
The Democrats, they'll say, yeah, I know I'm going to fall on the sword, but hey, it's for the good of the Democratic Party.
You don't see our guys doing that.
Listen, in one sense, you're right.
Republicans are not, they're not lockstep.
There's not a monolithic group of Republicans out there.
However, the agenda is what matters to me.
The agenda, look, there's only limited power that they have only having the one house.
Winning the Senate, I mean, you guys could have helped us out in Georgia with all due respect.
Herschel Walker was a better choice for the people in Georgia, but that's up to them.
And in my opinion, I think that if the agenda is, there's no ambiguity about what has to be done.
And there will be accountability if it's McCarthy, whoever it happens to be, with a motion to vacate, they will be held accountable if they deviate from these promises.
I promise you that.
I'll lead the charge.
So I really don't see, in my humble opinion, this is an effort in futility and a waste of time.
But if they feel good about themselves and feel that they need this exercise to feel better, you know, what you have here is you've got over 200 members of the 222 that are voting for one person.
There's not even agreement among the 19 or 20 on who they choose to be the Speaker of the House.
One minute it's Jim Jordan, Jim Jordan nominated McCarthy, and the next minute it's Byron Donald's.
I like Byron Donald's a lot.
That's a good choice.
But, you know, he doesn't have the support that McCarthy does.
McCarthy's been very specific about what he's going to do.
More than half the Freedom Caucus is voting for McCarthy.
So it's, but he's got other groups to deal with.
He's got the Tuesday group.
He's got the Republican Study Group.
He's got, you know, he's got a lot of various coalitions within the Republican Party in the House, and he's got to work with all of them.
And frankly, it's the worst job in Washington.
One of the worst jobs is being Speaker.
I want a bigger office.
I don't think I'm on the right committee.
I want to be on this subcommittee.
It's much harder than I think people really understand, which is the power of the purse, the power to subpoena, laying out a marker that says this is how we will fix the country, and then doing it and voting for it.
And I think there'll be, you know, Republicans will be unanimous on these votes.
That is what matters to me because those are the things that will impact the country.
Does that make sense?
True, but during Donald Trump's tenure, they could have passed a budget.
They could have done that.
They had two years, right?
Why didn't they do it?
Continuing resolution and just let it kick the cam down.
Listen, if you're going to ask me about the Senate to defend what the Senate did over the holiday, and it's nothing short of an absolute despicable disgrace, I will not defend anybody that voted for that ever.
All right.
I thank you.
All right, my friend.
God bless you.
Oregon, we have Anthony standing by.
Anthony, you're on the Sean Hannity Show.
Happy New Year, sir.
Happy New Year, Sean.
Thanks for taking my call.
Yes, sir.
You know, it was an embarrassing moment yesterday, again, for us.
You know, they're watching Pelosi and Jeffries get praised like God, and we're on the other side of the room looking depressed and confused again.
My question to you kind of is, you know, when you got two warriors like Matt Gates and Jim Jordan, they typically always align together and to see Matt Gates not vote with us kind of took the wind out the sails again.
And let me urge you to, I think you're taking this too personally.
Can I be honest with you?
Yes.
Listen, one of the reasons I've stayed out of the attack mode, I wrote a lot of these guys.
I saw this coming.
I was warned it was going to happen.
And I gave the same advice to everybody privately.
And now I'm saying it publicly.
And that was get in a room, check your ego at the door, check your phone, turn it off, and everybody get in a room and hammer out an agreement.
And as that process kind of moved along ever so slowly, I realized that there was not enough motivation by enough people to avoid what's happening this week.
Maybe at some point when the American people get mad enough, maybe they'll realize they're hurting themselves.
My line to all of them was, you're going to succeed or you're going to fail together.
There's not going to be any middle ground here.
There's not going to be winners and losers.
You're all going to be winners or you're all going to be losers.
Now, this can go on for today and this can go on tomorrow.
At some point here, the patience of the American people is going to run very, very thin.
So, you know, let it play out.
Let not your heart be troubled.
Don't let this, you know, this is, I'm not going to go into the cliche.
This is a Democratic Republican action.
That's too cliche for me.
This was very avoidable.
They, you know, shame on them for not fixing it ahead of time and resolving it ahead of time.
But with that said, this will come to an end.
We will move forward and hopefully sooner than later.
Yeah, I do.
I do believe we just have to align because watching them, they stick together no matter what.
And with that said, they're going to win no matter what at times because they stick together and we can't even just align together.
I hope we are, our patience is running thin out here.
That's why we appreciate you.
It's got to be hard for you to go to work every day.
You know what?
It's not hard for me.
I just tell the truth as I see it.
You know, some people, for example, didn't like the fact that I didn't buy into some of the arguments on 2020, but they couldn't prove it to me.
You know, Linda, did we not focus on very specific things about partisan observers?
That's the law.
They weren't able to observe.
Didn't we focus in on the Constitution and Pennsylvania not being adhered to?
And didn't we focus in on the constitutional issue and the stinging rebuke of the Supreme Court, the chief in the state of Wisconsin?
Didn't we focus in on whistleblowers that were ignored?
Didn't we focus in on all that?
I think we covered that in great detail, right?
Yeah, I mean, I think the thing that you do, and that is definitely your strong suit, and I would say your hallmark is that you do not talk about anything that cannot be verified, fact-checked, and sourced.
That is who you are.
You will not go in.
You won't talk about anything if it can't be supported.
And so to that point, if it could be supported, and there was documentation, witnesses, affidavits, anything.
We looked at everything.
Yeah.
I mean, that's kind of where your focus has always been.
Yeah.
And we were right on Russia, and everybody else was wrong.
And we're going to be right on the FBI and this issue involving big tech.
Mark my words.
All right.
Quick break right back to our busy phones.
800-941 Sean, you want to be a part of the program as now we have a fifth vote for Speaker with no different result.
Anyway, as we continue, 800-941 Sean on numbers.
Straight ahead.
Listen, I want to remind you about today.
I want to tell you about an important mission that we here on this show are about to embark on, and that's saving the lives of children.
And now, if you have not heard of pre-born, you need to hear about it.
It is making a huge impact in taking down extreme abortion rights.
They have rescued over 200,000 babies from abortion every day.
Their clinics save 150 babies' lives.
