Time Text
This is an iHeart Podcast.
It does reduce inflation.
Forty percent of inflation is fueled by fossil fuels.
No new taxes on families making more than, excuse me, no new taxes on families making less than $400,000.
$400.
The inflation data in July was 0.0.
So we are seeing inflation decrease.
People have every single day.
Inflation is like a theoretical word that economists use.
Freedom is back in style.
Welcome to the Revolution.
Today, the new Sean Hannity Show.
More behind the scenes information on breaking news and more bold, inspired solutions for America.
This is a special edition of the Sean Hannity Show.
America Trapped Behind Enemy Lines.
Day number 367.
All right, hour to Sean Hannity Show, 800941.
Sean, if you want to be a part of the program, we obviously have now been spending a lot of time discussing the raid at Mar-a-Lago.
But more importantly, as I laid out on TV last night, as I've been laying out in the last hour, this is not just a Donald Trump problem.
You know, you have people like Peter Strzok, a guy that says to his girlfriend, lover, Lisa Page, when she asks if Donald Trump could ever get elected in 2016, we're not going to let that happen.
How do you make such a proclamation that you're never going to, he's never going to be president?
We'll stop it.
And they did everything they could do to tip the scales in an election in this country, and none of them have been held accountable.
The FBI has had Hunter Biden's laptop, which we know has evidence of crimes on it, that also implicates the big guy, Joe Biden, your president.
And they've done nothing with that laptop for two years.
You know, we know in the case of Hillary Clinton, I mean, it gets interesting.
You know, her house was never raided in Chappaqua.
She mishandled classified information.
33,000 emails deleted by bleach pit, AIDS destroying, you know, iPhones and BlackBerries with hammers and removing SIM cards.
The Clintons don't get raided.
These FBI, you know, upper echelon people that abuse their power that are corrupt, they don't get raided.
Hunter doesn't get raided.
But Paul Manafort got raided pre-dawn raid, you know, over a Farah violation and a tax violation.
You know, these, these are mere process crimes.
You're not talking about dangerous drug dealers or cartel members or mobsters, but it's pre-dawn raid, guns drawn, you know, guns pointed at his head and his wife's face.
Paul Manafort, more than anybody, has told, is now telling his story.
His book is released today.
It's called Political Prisoner, Persecuted, Prosecuted, but Not Silenced.
You can get it in bookstores all around the country as of today.
It's on Amazon.com.
We have a link on Hannity.com.
I couldn't put the book down.
I've finished it.
I read it cover to cover.
And Paul Manafort joins us now.
Sir, how are you?
Good, Sean.
Thank you for having me on the show again.
You know, your case is almost, you became almost like the canary in the coal mine.
I know you probably don't like to think of your life like that, but it kind of has been, you know, the example of where this, when you have politicized, a politicized justice system, a dual justice system, unequal justice under the law, you know, what happened to you is just basically a preview of coming attractions.
Well, that's exactly right, Sean.
And I talk about that in the book.
I mean, the deep state is not just a danger to people like President Trump or those who support him actively like I did.
It's a danger to Americans everywhere.
And in the book, I talk about that because I was able to, the book, I wrote the book, including the first year of the Biden administration, because I thought it was important to carry the messages of the abuses and the weaponization of the justice system, not just through the end of the Trump term, but into what happens if he's not president and if the woke left does take power.
And it's a scary thought because this two-tiered justice system that you're seeing now is exactly a consequence of the dangers of the deep state.
The Mueller investigation, you know, and it's illegitimacy, it's abusive tactics, you know, it's obsession with getting Donald Trump.
They weren't obsessed with me.
I was a means to the end.
And in the book, I walked through the details of what Mueller was trying to do, not just to me, but to get me to give him Donald Trump.
Andrew Weissman had his theories on Trump's guilt as far as being connected to Russia.
They were crazy theories.
He had no motive.
He had no link to Russia.
So Weissman just made them up.
And I walked through all of that in detail from my 50 hours of conversations with that I was forced to have with Weissman.
And what you're seeing now with the raid on the president's home is the natural extension of where they're going because they can't afford to have Donald Trump come back.
So your history is pretty amazing, actually, when you look at your background.
I mean, you were brought in as a convention coordinator for Gerald Ford.
That was being challenged in 1976 by Ronald Reagan.
You worked for George Herbert Walker Bush at 88.
You worked for Bob Dole.
You've worked for a lot of political or presidential campaigns at a very high level.
And then in the offseason, if you will, you did what people like John Podesta do, correct me if I'm wrong, or James Carville do, or any one of these former Clintonites do, and that is you bring your political expertise and you're brought in to advise on foreign countries' political campaigns or other work.
Is that true?
I did campaigns all around the world, but usually I would include in my team active Democrats as well, who consultants, because when you're across the ocean, it doesn't matter if you're a Republican or Democrat.
And there are, believe it or not, some Democratic consultants who care about our country and care about the foreign policy of other countries as it relates to our country.
And so we, in the case of Ukraine, which became sort of the focus because of its linkage to Russia, I had a team of Democrats who were very experienced, very seasoned, and very involved.
None of them were even looked at by Weissman because they couldn't help him get Donald Trump.
A big part of the charges against you are FARA violations, making false statements, tax issues, et cetera, et cetera.
Rather than go through the minutiae of that, people can read about that in the book.
I want to talk more about the actual dealings that you had with Mueller's team.
And more specifically, you know, the New York Times labeled Andrew Weissman Mueller's pit bull, and you dealt with him directly.
Everything that I read about this guy just reeked of prosecutorial abuse to me.
Sidney Powell wrote a whole book about it, Licensed to Lie, and he was prominently featured.
Tell us about that experience.
Now, this is when you are already arrested.
You're in prison.
You're in isolation.
You know, you spent nine months in solitary confinement, and they start talking to you to try to get you to cut a deal with them, correct?
Correct.
They thought when I said I didn't want to go to trial a second time because I could not get a fair trial.
I mean, the jury was going to be composed of people from Washington, D.C. two weeks after the four-week trial I had in Virginia.
There was not one person who was objective about Paul Vanafort.
By the way, what percentage of the vote did Donald Trump get in D.C.?
Exactly.
Exactly.
So I knew I couldn't get a fair trial.
And I go through some of the reasons for that, including the questionnaire that we asked.
Normally you have 30, 40 people at the most be vaudeir to be a juror.
I had 120.
I found one person in our questionnaire who could have been objective.
Literally over 90 people said they hated Donald Trump and they hated me because of that, of him.
So the point is I was not going to get a fair trial in the second trial.
And I had a judge who could have been at the prosecutor's table in Amy Jackson, Amy Bourbon Jackson.
So I cut a deal to just stop, not to give up anything, but to stop.
And there comes a point, I guess you cut your losses.
You know, you have no shot at winning.
I couldn't win, and they were going after my kids' assets, and I tried to protect some of those assets, and I was able to get that done.
But I never expected them to like what they heard from me because I was going to tell the truth, and they didn't want to know what the truth was.
Weissman had his own theories.
Weissman thought, and I go through this in great detail in the book, that Trump and Stone and Manafort were the key to proving Russian collusion.
That Stone was dealing with wiki leaks on the timing of the releases, and he was getting directions from Donald Trump, who was talking to me about making sure Russia understood the importance of it.
It's crazy stuff.
But through the course of the 50 hours, Weissman never presented.
This is what I think.
Tell me if it's right or wrong.
Weisman would ask me disparate questions in the course of the 50 hours, but I knew where he was going with the questions.
And so I would answer things that were going to create the truth, not a mosaic that he wanted to create.
And he had these, he had a crazy theory on what the motive was for Donald Trump.
He even had the motive.
And the motive was that Trump was going to let Vladimir Putin keep Ukraine.
And because I knew Ukraine, I was part of that lynchpit.
And again, in the book, I go, through the reality, Donald Trump was harder on Putin than Obama or now Biden when it came to.
Oh, my God.
I mean, Donald Trump was never giving a waiver to the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, and nor do I think that Ukraine would have been invaded had Donald Trump been president today.
I don't think either of those.
You're 100% correct.
You're 100% correct.
So there's one part of this, you know, you were in jail at the time, so we didn't talk, but I got to know you during the Trump campaign, and we often texted.
And at one point, the judge just releases 1,200 of our text messages together.
The funniest thing to me about it was fake news CNN and MSDNC, you know, start, you know, Hannity and Manafort said this, and they said this, and they said this.
And their conclusion was, oh my God, Hannity really believes this crap.
It sounds like his opening monologue every night, which to me was a compliment.
And it made me think, well, yeah, I believe it.
Do you guys not believe what you say?
That's what I was thinking.
Well, in fact, I don't think they do believe what they said because I guess not.
No, look, they knew on Russian collusion what we've now confirmed, which is that it was a Clinton-generated narrative.
I mean, the pieces were there.
And in the book, I mean, one of the things about having a book later in the process is a lot of what John Durham has done in his investigation, I was able to incorporate in the book, which actually puts some definitiveness to the whole Russia hoax.
Because now we know by Clinton's own campaign manager's sworn testimony that she created the concept of the connection between Trump and Putin.
We also know, though, thanks to Durham and go through this in some detail in the book, that John Brennan, a few days after that, briefed Obama.
Yeah, he did.
Interestingly, don't trust it.
This is a political document.
But you know what happened two weeks after that briefing?
Crossfire Hurricane was green lit by Peter Strzok and the FBI.
Peter Strzok, the same guy that said in August of 2016, we won't let that happen.
That Peter struck, meaning he won't win.
If you want the exact quote, I got it here in front of me.
And he went on to say, we'll stop it, meaning him becoming president.
And if your plan doesn't work, we've got an insurance policy.
By the way, was Weissman asking questions about me?
I've never even asked you that question.
Well, we hadn't talked.
What you just said, actually, was very interesting because Weissman did take out some of these notes of ours, emails of ours, and they asked me about it.
I said, well, what do you want to know about that?
And so, well, why were you talking to him when they were, I said, he's a friend of mine.
But you said that there was no Russian collusion.
Well, because there was no Russian collusion.
And he was trying to get me saying that I was misleading you.
I think it was me venting every night because I was so frustrated because the evidence was so overwhelmingly against their narrative.
We'll take a quick break.
We'll come back.
800-941-Sean, our number more with Paul Manafort.
His new book is in bookstores as of today.
It is called Political Prisoner, and its subtitle is Persecuted, Prosecuted, Not Silenced.
Amazon.com, Hannity.com, Bookstores Everywhere.
All right, well, Paul Manafort is with us.
His book released today.
It's in bookstores all around the country.
Political Prisoner, Persecuted, Prosecuted, But Not Silenced.
I don't think it could be a more timely book.
Amazon.com, Hannity.com as well.
You know, I just can't believe, by the way, that you spent, how much time total did you spend in jail?
About two years, about 10 months in solitary and about 12.
And the most fascinating part of the solitary we touched on last week.
And by the way, we're talking to Paul Manafort.
His book is Political Prisoner, Persecuted, Prosecuted, Not Silenced in Bookstores As of Today.
And I just want to ask, you knew that if you told them what they wanted to hear, you were a free man or pretty close to a free man.
Well, I knew that they would go very easy on me.
Yes.
I mean, would there have been superseding charges brought in this whole second trial?
Probably not.
I mean, when Gates cut his deal with Weissman, his superseding charges were dropped.
And they got him to plead one count.
Frankly, he never went to jail.
And if I had given like Gates gave them me, I'm sure I would have had the same bad result.
Yeah.
Well, the book is phenomenal, and we've only really touched the surface of it.
It's a page turner.
There's no other way to put it.
You're going to follow this story and say, wow, how did this happen in the U.S.?
It's called Political Prisoner, Persecuted, Prosecuted, Not Silenced.
Paul Manafort.
His book in bookstores now everywhere as of today, amazon.com, Hannity.com.
Paul, sorry you had to go through all of that.
I am glad you got pardoned.
I'm glad you're free.
And I wish you and your family all the best.
And when people read your story, I want the rights for the Made for TV movie, okay?
You got it, my friend.
You can't even make this up.
It's sad that this is happening in our country.
I'll say that.
Thank you, sir.
You are listening to the best of the Sean Hannity Show, and stay tuned.
More memorable moments, interesting guests, and a lot of fun coming up next.
You know, here we are at day 368, Americans abandoned behind enemy lines.
Nobody talks about it.
Here you have Russia, Ukraine, they invade a sovereign country.
And the minute that Joe Biden denied Poland giving the MiG fighters to Ukraine, it was at that moment it dawned on me, they're not fighting this war to win this war.
And it's now become exactly what I said it would become.
And that is the latest quagmire.
And for Western Europe and the United States, having the greatest opportunity to take out Vladimir Putin and Russian forces and humiliate them and defeat them and win the war and even take Crimea back would have been a massive win for the cause of liberty.
But they didn't do it.
And at this point, they're just giving them enough weapons to survive.
Basically, all right, well, we'll play for a tie.
In war, you don't play for a tie.
When are we going to learn the lesson that Donald Trump taught us?
With the advancement of new weaponry and technology, you can fight and win wars in air-conditioned rooms all over the United States with smart guys using smart weapons, pushing little buttons and hitting their targets with pinpoint accuracy.
We saw that with Soleimani.
We saw the Caliphate get defeated that way.
We saw it with Baghdadi and associates.
We saw it with the al-Qaeda leader in Yemen.
All happened under Donald Trump.
Yeah, I'm glad we got Aywan al-Zawahiri in Afghanistan, but there's a big problem.
And on the other side of that, is the Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan are now a safe haven once again for terrorist organizations.
The Donald Trump plan to exit and remove forces from Afghanistan included the U.S. keeping Bagram Air Base, which would have been strategically, geopolitically, and strategically crucial to our national security, especially as it relates to China.
Now China is moving in, according to reports.
And we've got now, you know, a president that will import last year 684 million barrels of oil to make Putin and Russia rich again.
Now he took in a million barrels of oil last year from Iran.
Reports now, New York Times is saying Europe is optimistic that Biden is reaching a nuclear deal with Iran.
He's doing it to import Iranian oil, the very same mullers that chant death to America, death to Israel.
We're going to make Iran rich again?
Are they out of their mind?
You know, begging the Saudis and OPEC and getting rejected repeatedly for them to increase output, sending emissaries to Venezuela to deal with that murdering dictator thug.
All of this is insane.
None of this is going to end well for anybody.
You know, it's, I never, I just never thought 18 months of one presidency, we could see such a precipitous, rapid, obvious decline in this country on every single measure.
And now they're raising taxes before a midterm election, which was unthinkable years ago.
Because I don't think most, I don't think they think the American people are paying attention.
And they give it a fancy name, the Inflation Reduction Act.
No, it's not going to do anything to stop Biden inflation.
Not a thing.
If we wanted to stop inflation, we would be producing domestically all our energy needs.
And then we'd be smart and become energy dominant and provide all of our Western European allies all of the needs that they have.
So this is now a situation.
This is a self-inflicted wound.
We were energy independent.
We shouldn't be talking to Iran, Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, OPEC, Russia.
And if we're going to help the Ukrainians, help them defeat Russia, don't give them the bare minimum so they could survive another day.
And then we have this latest report that all over the United States, that farmland and ranch land, conveniently located near strategic military bases is being bought up by the hundreds of thousands of acres by the communist Chinese.
Ron DeSantis rightly said, no, China should not be able to buy American real estate.
We need to take it back and give them the money that they paid and kick them out.
It's ridiculous.
Here's what DeSantis said.
Well, I don't think they should be able to do it.
I think the problem is, is these companies have ties to the CCP, and it's not always apparent on the face of whatever a company is doing.
But I think it's a huge problem, the influence that they have.
Now, what we have done in Florida, I've signed legislation to crack down on undue influence from rogue states, including the CCP.
So, for example, we banned Confucius Institutes in the state of Florida.
They try to go in higher education and they try to spread the propaganda.
So, we've taken good steps.
We're also probably going to do legislation next legislative session about our pension investments with things that may be linked to the CCP.
We don't necessarily have a lot of it, but we want to make sure that we're cutting ties so that we're not funding our number one adversary.
They are our number one geopolitical foe.
Russia's right up there with them.
You want to talk about an axis of evil?
You got China, Russia, and Iran all aligning now.
And even the Saudis see it developing, so they're getting in on the action.
And they're coordinating the price of a barrel of oil with Vladimir Putin.
This is insanity.
And then Joe Biden, the same Joe Biden that said, I don't think we're going to hit a recession.
We have 0% inflation.
He actually said it when we had inflation at a 40-year high.
You know, he said last week, I'm not worried about China, the China-Taiwan situation.
Why?
What do you mean you're not worried about it?
What are you going to do, Joe?
I can already answer that.
The answer is he'll do nothing.
He'll let China walk in and take over Taiwan.
Listen.
How worried are you about the situation in Taiwan?
Because China is kind of keeping a bit of a grid around the whole island now.
I am not worried, but I'm concerned that they're moving as much as they are.
But I don't think they're going to do anything wrong.
He'll be 0 for 3 by the end of next year.
I can bet.
You can pretty much bet on that.
Take it to the bank.
Colonel North is with us.
By the way, his new book is How The Giant Awakes, which, by the way, here we are in the one-year anniversary since Americans were abandoning the Islamic Emirates of Afghanistan.
SemperFi Colonel, welcome back.
It's been a while.
How are you, sir?
Great to be with you, my friend.
You know what?
I've always loved the idea that what we're going to do is bring China out of the depths of being a developing country because they still get that status when it comes to the environment, for example.
The Paris Climate Accords, they're a developing nation.
Exactly.
All the things Aron DeSantis just said, all the things that Mike Vompeo has been saying, all true.
By the way, the front end of the book, where does the title?
The giant awakes.
Where did that come from?
Quote, China is a sleeping giant.
Let her sleep, for when she wakes, she'll move mountains.
Let her sleep, for when she wakes, she will shake the world.
Napoleon Bonaparte.
That's how bad things have gotten.
We're back to Bonaparte, realizing things really aren't going quite the way we expected to do with China.
That's what this book is about.
This book is all about the kinds of things that China's doing.
And it's written as a thriller because, you know, we put out our very first book, and DeSantis referenced it.
The very first book Fidelis Publishing put out was America's Number One Adversary.
It was our first published book.
And that's, and all the things that are in that book are what's happening today.
The end game for all of what's happening is that China will take over the rest of the world while Putin's going to get Europe.
Well, the bottom line of it is with this administration, it's going to happen that way.
And so we've got, we get our first chance to really fix things is going to happen this November.
Our second chance to fix things, and maybe our last, is going to be 2024.
When you look at what's happening right now, when the Speaker of the House of Representatives is going to land in China, in Taiwan, the Communist Chinese went nuts.
Okay, they violated the airspace regulations.
They threatened to shoot the Speaker's plane down, Colonel.
I know.
I'm telling you, what we should have done, and if Ronald Reagan were president, we would have done is immediately shipped to Taiwan the kind of anti-shipping missiles that will sink their Navy, okay, and send out the anti-aircraft man pads that have been used so effectively in Ukraine.
The only reason why Taiwan has not been invaded yet is because of Zelensky and what the Ukrainians have done and what the shipments of allied Western, mostly American, weapons has done.
But they didn't supply the weaponry to win the war, Colonel.
No, but remember what DeSantis just said.
DeSantis was talked about winning.
You talked about winning.
The idea that we're going to simply hold the line where it is and let Donbass and Crimea stay in the hands of the Soviets.
I just said Soviets, didn't I?
In the hands of the Russians is wrong.
What ought to be done is what Mike Pompeo suggested.
They ought to be giving them the weapons that needed to win.
I can assure you that the Ukrainians don't want any part of Russia, but they do want a border with Russia, and it ought to go back to what it was before the invasion in 2014.
And of course, what we're paying for is the price that we started paying this price when it was the Obama-Biden administration, and now it's carried over to what we've got, which is totally incompetent, inept, and I believe aimed at disarming America.
I honestly think that some of the things that have been done ever since the Afghanistan fiasco, that we're in worse shape today than we were before we went to Afghanistan in 2001.
You may remember, I was on the air with you in October of 2001 when I went in with Mattis into Rhino.
I was on the air with you guys when we went there.
And here we are looking back at it, and we're in worse shape as a country economically, militarily, and spiritually than we were back then.
We're in serious trouble.
And so my hope and my prayer, buddy, is that your voice is going to carry out both on radio and television.
And my books are going to help convince the American people that we, the people, still govern in America.
And we don't have to have kids being taught that they can change their gender while they're in grade school.
We don't have to have a military that is so at this point demoralized that you can't get enough re-enlistments or new enlistments to man the weapon systems we got.
And my hope is that someday we'll have real leadership in Washington with integrity that will give us an FBI that's competent to do the things that they have to do.
All right, quick break, right back more with Colonel North's new book, by the way, The Giant Awakes.
It's on Amazon.com, bookstores everywhere.
More on the other side as we continue.
Then your calls 800-941-SEAN, our number.
On the stories that man owes to you.
Sean Hannity's on right now.
All right, we continue with Colonel Oliver North.
We'll get to your calls in a minute.
800-941 Sean is new book out in bookstores everywhere.
Amazon.com, Hannity.com, The Giant Awakes.
I guess one little humorous thing.
Next time we're on television together, I'm sitting here with a coffee cup that real FBI agents gave me.
Okay, they've now replaced it several times.
And here's what it says.
You got to remember, the FBI alerted Betsy and the kids to get out of the house.
They were coming to pick them up because terrorists from Islamic Jihad in Libya were coming to kill them.
I remember this well.
Okay, so here's the coffee cup.
And I get a new one every year or so from the good old guys, the real FBI agents.
Good morning, sir.
I see the assassins have failed again.
And I'm drinking coffee out of it, given to me by a real FBI agent.
A reminder of some of your more risky days that you lived actually decades of your life, to be honest.
Well, exciting life, my friend.
Exciting?
That's one word you could use.
That's one adjective to describe it.
You know, pretty insane.
I mean, I just look at the situation and I'm like, everything is upside down, Colonel.
You know, we abandon energy independence.
We abandoned the best economy we've ever had.
We're now going to sick another 87,000 IRS agents on the American people.
We have wide open borders.
You had this, we don't have law and order in our towns and cities because of dismantled defund Nobel laws.
We don't teach our kids reading, writing, math, science, history, and computers.
You know, we teach them wokeism.
Then on foreign policy, you know, every bad actor, hostile regime, Joe Biden wants to be friends with or he's too compromised to ever stand up to.
So we got less than 90 days left until the next election.
I think it's 89 days, isn't it, today?
And what you and I and all of our friends need to be is real patriots.
And as you know, I'm a chronic optimist.
Good God.
So many times I should have been dead.
I'm truly an optimist.
And so what I'm suggesting is that you and I and every one of our real patriot friends do something for the next 89 days.
Remind the American people who listen and watch us.
We the people govern, and we the people have to turn out to vote.
People forget.
I mean, obviously there was a congressman and a congressperson, I guess, in Wyoming who forgot.
You never savage someone in your own party.
Politics is all a matter of addition.
You know what I'm talking about.
She went out and she savaged a former president of the United States.
She voted to have him impeached twice.
She's the co-chairman of the so-called January 6th Commission, which is an outrage in and of itself because it's accomplishing nothing of value.
And we now see a president suffering the indignity that he did.
No president's ever had their home search before.
And all the things that you reported earlier in this broadcast, all those things have happened because not enough of us, even though 75 million of us voted in favor of Donald Trump twice, okay, it still wasn't enough.
What we need to do is we need to turn out the vote this November.
This has got 89 days from now.
We have got to be able to go out and say, we the people have thrown out the rascals, not just in the House, but in the Senate as well, and put the brakes on this catastrophe that's governing in the White House and then put a president with integrity in the White House in 2024.
That's what we got.
Colonel North's new book, The Giant Awakes, on Hannity.com, Amazon.com, just released in bookstores yesterday.
This is the best of the Sean Hannity Show.
