Which means that until we achieve a form of energy independence that is based on clean energy created here at home, American citizens will still be vulnerable to wild price hikes like we're seeing right now.
The workforce is getting older.
Not that I am, but they are.
I used to drive a truck.
It's a long story.
Anyway.
Freedom is back in style.
Welcome to the revolution.
Yeah, we're coming to your center.
Gonna play our guitars and sing you a contra-song.
Sean Hennedy, the new Sean Hannity show.
More behind-the-scenes information on breaking news and more bold, inspired solutions for America.
This is a special edition of the Sean Hannity Show.
America Trapped Behind Enemy Lines.
Day number 236.
All right, our two Sean Hannity Show 800 941.
Sean, if you want to be a part of the program, New York Post front cover today has a picture of Joe and zero experience, Hunter, and it says, Father knows worst.
Joe Biden claims he knew nothing about Hunter's foreign business dealings.
Here's 12 times that he did.
And they gave a list.
But first, here's Joe denying that he ever had any knowledge of any of Hunter's foreign business dealings.
How many times have you ever spoken to your son about his overseas business dealings?
I've never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings.
I have never discussed with my son or my brother or anyone else anything having to do in their businesses, period.
And what I will do is the same thing we did in our administration.
There will be an absolute wall between personal and private and the government.
Do you stand by your statement that you did not discuss any of your son's overseas business deals?
I stand by that statement.
Do you think it was wrong for him to take that position?
No.
Knowing that it was really because that company wanted access to you.
Well, that's not true.
You're saying things you do not know what you're talking about.
No one said that.
Who said that?
Okay, so they list the 12 examples.
Now, yesterday, remember, new information emerging, although it really wasn't new, that from Hunter's laptop from hell, as our friend Miranda Devine calls it, that connects Joe to the family syndicate.
And Joe Biden, it apparently reveals now in 2017, wrote a college recommendation letter for the son of Hunter's Chinese business associates and sent it directly to the president of Brown University.
Now, how could that be considering Joe denied ever talking to his son about any of his foreign business dealings?
So he wrote a letter of recommendation for somebody he didn't know.
Is that a common thread here?
What about the pictures that we showed last night of Joe and Hunter with Hunter's favorite Kazakhstan oligarch?
Why did they go golfing?
We have pictures of that too with Hunter's main business partner, Devin Archer, who served with Hunter on the board of Burisma Holdings.
And by the way, he happens to be currently sitting in a federal prison for fraud.
But if you look at all the countries and all the deals and all the millions, be it Ukraine, Kazakhstan, or Russia or China, you know, the only experience that I really see that Hunter has is with crack cocaine and prostitutes.
So the New York Post today, to their credit, they've been doing a great job on this.
Now that the world is beginning to acknowledge that they were right two weeks before the general election, the presidential election in 2020, they gave a list of a dozen times that Joe played a role in Hunter's business dealings.
And the latest example emerged with this letter.
The other kid, too, Hunter arranged for his dad to write a letter to Georgetown University, Hunter's alma mater for this guy's daughter.
Neither child got into either elite institution.
So much for Joe's poll.
Anyway, Hunter also acknowledged in a 2019 New York magazine article that he and his dad once discussed Hunter's job on the board of this Ukrainian energy company, Burisma Holdings.
That goes to Joe bragging that he withheld a billion dollars until they fired the prosecutor investigating his zero-experienced son being paid millions on that board for Burisma.
Remember the Air Force 2 trip in December of 2013, where Hunter and his daughter traveled to China, an Air Force 2, and they met with President Xi and other officials and were also introduced to Lee by his son in the lobby of the hotel where the American delegation was staying.
Oh, that became their business partner.
In 2019, in a text message to his daughter, Hunter bitterly writes, I hope you all can do what I did and pay for everything for this entire family for 30 years.
It's really hard, he said.
But don't worry, unlike Pop, Joe, I won't make you give me half your salary.
Well, that sounds like a pretty damning statement.
We know that this grand jury is asking who is the big guy.
Then you got, of course, Tony Bobolinski revealing that, in fact, Joe was the big guy and also reportedly described Bobolinski as the one who's helping us with the business we're doing in China, we're doing in China.
Key words.
That's what the China energy company, keep an eye on my son and brother and look out for my family.
And that's also where the big guy, 10%, was mentioned.
And I can keep going.
12 specific examples.
Miranda Devine wrote The Laptop from Hell.
She's with us.
It's her paper that has been in the forefront of breaking a lot of this news.
Also, Greg Jarrett has a great column out today: how we need a special counsel appointed immediately regarding these issues.
He's in good company because Jonathan Turley and Ken Starr both also said the same thing.
Miranda, let's start with the dozen times that Joe played a role in his son's business dealings.
Hi, Sean.
Look, I mean, a dozen we plucked out of the air, but there are many more, including the commingling of finances between Hunter and Joe Biden.
There's ample evidence of shared bank accounts, shared debit cards, you know, Hunter paying for bills through his father.
And even, I mean, I just saw one the other day that had a tax refund check for Joe going into one of their joint bank accounts.
So, you know, it's just absurd on its face.
It's not sustainable for the White House to continue to run this line that Joe Biden told to the American people before the election that he knew nothing about his son, Hunter's overseas business dealings.
It's just not tenable.
Now, let's go a little bit deeper.
So he made the statements.
Now the grand jury in Hunter's case is asking specific questions about Joe Biden's role here.
You're right.
You're just touching the surface on all of this.
But I think a prima facie case can be made that Joe Biden not only lied, but was the beneficiary of all of these deals and knew everything about every one of them.
Well, look, Sean, this is an influence peddling scheme, pure and simple.
This is corruption, and Joe Biden is not the only person in Washington to indulge in it.
But what he did was he internationalized a scheme he'd been running for four decades in Delaware to the rest of the world, to the countries that under the Obama administration as vice president, he was point man for, and that was China, that was Russia, that was Ukraine.
These are the countries where, along with other countries, millions of dollars were flowing through to the bank accounts of Hunter Biden, Joe's brother Jim Biden, and their various business partners in the United States.
And the laptop has enormous amounts of evidence there.
But also, we have Tony Bobolinski, Hunter Biden's former business partner.
He handed over the contents of his devices to the FBI as well.
So that added to the laptop the FBI already had from December 2019.
And on top of that, you have this very thorough investigation by Ron Johnson and Chuck Grasley, their Senate inquiry into Hunter Biden's various business dealings.
And they have Treasury Department documents, these suspicious activity reports that banks are required to file with the Treasury Department whenever there is suspect money in large amounts flowing into American bank accounts.
And basically, this was a business.
Joe Biden was a product.
His influence, his power, the second most powerful man in the world, these shady interests in countries like China and Russia and Ukraine were lining up to pay money.
These were bribes to his family members.
And in no country in the world is there a case that millions of dollars is paid to the son and the brother of a top official, and that isn't regarded as corruption.
Let me bring in Greg Jarrett.
Greg, you're in good company with Jonathan Turley and Ken Starr calling for a special counsel to be appointed.
Here's the problem we have.
Merrick Garland has already politicized the Department of Justice.
We saw this in the case of the FBI going after parents at school board meeting looking into, quote, domestic terrorism.
The Department of Justice is part of the executive branch of government.
Now that we know that Merrick Garland's already politicized it, even if he were to appoint a special counsel, why do I suspect that the fix would be in from day one?
Well, it could be.
You know, it's to ensure that the investigation is not as corrupt as Joe and Hunter Biden, there has to be a special counsel to guard against, you know, wanton presidential interference.
You know, Merrick Garland's a political appointee.
He reports to the President of the United States, the president's son.
But the president has been signaling publicly that his son is innocent.
And according to reports, he's asking his own Justice Department to go after Donald Trump.
If you just look at the public reports, that's the same thing as directing Garland to come into the Oval Office, close the door, and then he says, my son's innocent.
Don't prosecute.
And so, you know, it seems to me that there needs to be a special counsel to ensure that there's no interference from the Attorney General Merrick Garland.
And in fact, if you look at the federal rules, they demand that Garland disqualify himself, recuse himself from being involved at all.
It's not optional.
It's required, and it goes on to state that under such circumstances, a special counsel must be appointed to oversee what it is the U.S. appointments.
And who would appoint that special counsel?
Wouldn't it be Merrick Garland?
Well, yes, it probably would be Merrick Garland, although he could disassociate himself from it, and the Deputy Attorney General could do it, or he could ask for recommendations from Congress.
All of that is allowed under the federal rules to make sure that this has the appearance of no conflict of interest, because you're looking, Sean, at pretty serious crimes.
It's obvious to me that the Delaware grand jury is looking at everything from tax fraud to money laundering to lobbying crimes as well as conspiracy.
Perhaps they're looking at a criminal enterprise, which constitutes racketeering.
They're looking at the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, which is bribery.
And the fact that the grand jury asked the question, who's the big guy, tells us pretty directly that they think Joe Biden was involved, his lies about it notwithstanding.
All right, quick break more on the laptop from hell with Miranda Devine and Greg Jarrett.
Hi, we continue with the New York Post, Miranda Devine, also the author of Laptop from Hell, Fox News contributor, best-selling author in his own right.
Our friend Greg Jarrett is with us.
You know, we keep hearing that 450, whatever, gigabytes of materials are about to be released on the internet that have never been disclosed regarding the laptop.
And apparently a colleague of Steve Bannon went to Switzerland where he's legally allowed to download this material.
Miranda, do you have any idea what that's about?
Former colleague of Steve Bannon, look, I'm told by John Paul MacIsaac that it's physically impossible to have 400 gigabytes of hidden or erased material.
And, you know, there's just no way that you could fit it on that hard drive, on the copies of the hard drive that's floating around.
So no, I don't really believe that there will be any other information coming out.
John Paul MacIsaak had the laptop.
He made a clone of it.
He copied a clean copy and gave that to Bob Costello, Ruby Giuliani's lawyer.
We at the New York Post got a clean copy of that.
Steve Bannon also got a clean copy of that.
Let me ask you this.
Corrupted copies, I think, floating around.
If you connect a hard drive copy to the internet, John Paul MacIsaac tells us, it will corrupt and delete some files because it tries to download files from the cloud.
So it's very easy.
We need to get into that.
Let me ask you this.
As one of the few people that has seen it, there are also pictures and videos on this laptop.
They've been described to me as extraordinarily troubling and graphic.
Is that an accurate description?
There is certainly videos and images of Hunter Biden having sex, but they're with adult women.
The stories about child porn, there are doctored photographs online.
Somebody is deliberately trying to undermine the credibility of the laptop by doing quite sophisticated photoshopping of photographs that do exist on the laptop, but they're appending child faces to them.
It's not true.
And I think it's really quite disturbing that we go down this line.
This is deliberate misinformation done.
That's why it's important because you're one of the few people that have actually seen this laptop.
And I keep reading those stories, and I'm like, I need to ask Miranda because you would know.
And also, Sean, it's not just me.
I mean, I obviously compare notes with, you know, John Paul McIsak, with Bob Costello, with Rudy Giuliani, with the people who have been involved with this from the beginning.
We know the chain of custody.
They agree with me that these sort of misinformation that's happening is being done deliberately to discredit the laptop.
A lot of fake information is being seeded, and probably well-meaning, very good people may be being hoodwinked by sinister actors trying to get it.
That's what makes your best-selling book so effective.
It's called Laptop from Hell, is because you verified everything before you put it in the book.
Anyway, we're just out of time.
Miranda Devine, Greg Jarrett, always great to have you both on the program.
Thank you both for being with us.
Thank you, Sean.
Quick break, right back.
One thing you can
always count on.
Sean Annity is back on the radio.
All right, 25 now to the top of the hour, 800-941.
Sean, if you want to be a part of the program, we'll get to your calls here in a minute.
Interesting, the sprawling Los Angeles mansion purchased by the group.
Now, remember, during George Floyd, people were chanting Black Lives Matter.
That's not the group Black Lives Matter.
This is the group Black Lives Matter.
And they bought this piece of property for $6 million.
The funny thing is, they paid, it sold for more than 250% of the price of similar properties in Studio City neighborhoods.
So they didn't even manage the money well, at least according to my analysis here.
Records state that the property initially sold for $3.1 million in October of 2020.
But by the time it was transferred to the shell, to this, I assume it's an LLC.
The media always calls it a shell company.
Hannity has a shell corporation.
No, it's called the Limited Liability Corporation, and it's actually legal.
It's a business that you actually have to pay money for.
Anyway, so they put it obviously in an LLC controlled by Black Lives Matter Network Foundation, and they paid almost $6 million.
They paid $5.8 million for this thing.
Got a beautiful swimming pool, et cetera.
Now, and apparently there's all these big corporations that sponsored this thing, and they're celebrating living life of luxury.
The group Black Lives Matter is the group that chanted, what do we want dead cops?
When do we want them now?
And pigs in a blanket, fry them like bacon.
And I guess my question is, where did they get the money from?
And do these corporations that are supporting this group with all these millions of dollars, are they okay with the groups having chanted such things?
Not people advocating after George Floyd chanting Black Lives Matter.
There is a distinction.
We continue to watch Governor DeSantis in Florida.
First, he took on Disney in this stop gay bill that they called it.
No, it was a parental rights bill that only applied to pre-K through third graders.
And it was that you're not going to teach human sexuality, gender identity issues to these young kids.
That's all the bill said.
And that the parents have a say in their kids' education and the values that are instilled in school and their kids.
Anyway, there's a new proposal that is being pushed by Governor DeSantis.
And he's set to become the first state in the country to restrict how workplaces can talk about racism and bias.
And I'm sure this is going to get pick up a lot of controversy over time, because just like the other bill, it's going to be demagogued.
I mean, even Disney jumping into that rat hole, I have no idea why they decided to jump into it, and they mischaracterize the bill themselves.
But the legislation is known as the Stop Woke Act, and it's pushed.
You know, Ron DeSantis is supporting it, Republican-controlled legislature supporting it.
There has been some pushback originally, according to the USA Today article on it.
It restricts discussion of topics in schools in line with the conservative-led, quote, trend to tam down on instruction of race, gender, sexuality.
The problem is, is that when you have a captive group of students, they don't have any choice but to listen to what the teacher has to say.
Let's focus on the things that matter.
Reading at the proper grade level, proficiency in reading and writing and math and science and computers.
Now, once we become number one in all those categories, then we can start talking about the political agenda of the left.
And then even in those instances, that should be kept out of school because that's kind of the role of a parent.
That's what parents do.
And parents don't want to send their kids to school to have the values that they believe deeply in.
And in many cases, it's faith-based or religious-based, to be contradicted by a teacher that has a liberal woke agenda.
It should have no part of the curriculum in any school, in any city, in any town, in any state.
And that's why if you stick to the basics, we might actually start doing better in terms of competing internationally and giving the kids the quality education they need to compete in the world stage, especially with the world economy so tied together, as you can see with the issue of energy and oil.
Anyway, 800-941-Sean, our number, you want to be a part of the show.
Phil is in Louisiana.
Phil, how are you?
Senator Kennedy, I see, is up for re-election this year.
We are strongly defending him and supporting him.
I think he's done a great job for your state.
Doing well.
Thank you, Sean.
He's always good for a laugh.
So we're supporting him as well.
To expand on the Green New Deal discussion you were having yesterday, first, when an elected official is elected, they're, to my knowledge, elected to represent their district.
So how come someone like an AOC who is so hell-bent on ridding the country of fossil fuel, the world, of fossil fuels, why doesn't she try implementing that in her district first for a test run for six to 12 months?
And we'll put the windmills and the panels in her yard and on her rooftop to where she has to live by what she is espousing and see how it works.
I mean, has anyone ever pushed back when they can't?
Like DeSantis sending all of the illegal immigrants to Delaware and Greg Abbott sending them to Washington, D.C.
I don't disagree at all.
If AOC really wants windmill and solar panels, she lives in Queens.
She represents Queens, New York.
I say we put them up on top of all the buildings there and good luck with her project.
And maybe they should raise the money privately because they believe so much in it.
I'm sure that they'd find people committed to this insanity.
And in the meantime, the rest of us will stick with what works.
And that's the lifeblood of the world's economy, gas, oil, and coal.
I can tell we'll go our way.
I can tell you being from Louisiana, I can surely recruit some oil and gas executives that would fund the conversion of her private home to see how she likes it.
And the people like Stephen Colbert and all the other, I'll refrain, but all the other proponents who think that it's just the way of the future and they never live by what they try to have everybody else live under.
It's a daily thing.
And I just, I get, I get just as aggravated with some of our conservative representatives who don't push back and suggest that and just say, well, okay, it's such a great idea.
Then we're going to go ahead and the Kennedys didn't want the windmills outside of their beautiful Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket.
You know, they didn't want it in their backyard.
And by the way, no reasonable person wants it in their backyard.
Number three, it's not that it is not what it claims to be.
What if you have no wind and what if you have no sun?
They're not able yet to store the energy for those rainy days or for those days with no wind.
So it's not the perfect answer.
Technology is not there.
And I consider myself all the above.
Any cheap form of energy that they can find that's clean and better and cheaper and it's going to keep money in my pocket.
I'm all for it.
They don't want nuclear energy.
They don't want oil.
They don't want gas.
They don't want coal.
And then the idea is it's still the lifeblood of our economy.
So now, rather than use our own natural resources, which makes the most sense, so we're the masters of our own destiny, they'd rather suck up to Iran and Venezuela and OPEC and beg them to do the production for us.
And how that has a different impact on Mother Earth is way beyond my comprehension because the idea that it would be any different is ridiculous.
And that is their plan.
And now we've got people like Energy Secretary Granholm, Transportation Secretary Budajudge, and all these other people saying, you better get used to these high gas prices.
I saw prices in the paper today, $9 plus a gallon in California if you need to put premium gas in your car, which I have to put in my car.
And you know what?
People cannot afford it.
And the idea, well, once we get a steady supply of clean energy or go buy an electric car, well, how do you power that electric car?
Where does the electricity for the car come from?
How do you charge those batteries?
What is the power source from that?
Maybe you have a generator, gas-powered?
What difference then does it make?
They have not fought it through.
This is not about new green deal, anything.
This is about socialism.
Remember, the new green deal, when you got to the nitty-gritty, was guaranteed government job, guaranteed government wage, guaranteed government health care, guaranteed government healthy food, guaranteed womb to the tomb, cradle to grave society.
And under the guise of the environment, it's not about the environment.
It's about socialism.
And that is what they keep pushing.
And in the meantime, they have created a vulnerability for our national security, second to none.
And it is now, it's allowed the situation to emerge where Western European countries, they got succored by the same environmental groups like Germany.
We now know that some of these groups were funded by Vladimir Putin himself for the very purpose of pressuring Germany to stop their own natural gas production, to stop their own nuclear energy use.
They did it.
And then they became dependent on Putin.
And now they are helping to fund Putin's war in Ukraine.
None of this makes any sense.
The only guy that warned about it was Donald J. Trump, who was railing against this, even handing Chancellor Merkel the white flag of surrender on the issue and lecturing the head of NATO at the time on how stupid they are.
But nobody listened.
And this is the, frankly, the predictable result.
Anyway, good call, Phil.
Appreciate it.
I quick break right back to the phones, toll-free, 800-941-Sean, our number.
