Stone has served as a senior campaign aide to three Republican presidents.
He is a New York Times bestselling author, and a longtime friend and advisor of President Donald Trump.
As an outspoken libertarian, Stone has appeared on thousands of broadcasts, spoken at countless venues and lectured before the prestigious Oxford Political Union and the Cambridge Union Society.
Due to his four plus decades in the political and cultural arena, Stone has become a pop culture icon.

Welcome, I'm Roger Stone, and yes, you are about to enter The Stone Zone.
The Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, D.C., or now in the outskirts of Washington, D.C., has always been an important and seminal event in terms of the overall conservative movement.
President Ronald Reagan appeared there as a candidate in 1976, 1977, 1988, pardon me, 1979, all the way till 1980.
I'm actually the individual who engineered Donald Trump's first attendance at CPAC way back in 2011.
In 2011, a time where Donald Trump was considering the possibility of entering the 2012 Republican presidential contest, many people within the party, some in the media, suspected incorrectly that Donald Trump, because he hailed from New York, was a liberal.
That was never the case.
I actually read someplace on Twitter today in which I actually believe that someone claimed that Donald Trump was a registered Democrat.
Until 2009.
That is incorrect.
Donald Trump was a registered Republican for the vast majority of his life.
He then switched to the Independence Party of New York, which is an affiliate of the Reform Party, in 2000, really 1999, when he was seriously Entertaining a request by billionaire Ross Perot and then Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura that he consider a presidential contest as the nominee of the Reform Party.
For those who know the history, Donald Trump ultimately determined that he would not seek the presidency as the nominee of a minor party because he, well, correctly concluded that one either needed to be a Republican or a Democrat to successfully pursue and win the presidency.
He was very briefly a registered Democrat, essentially an act of rebellion against George W. Bush's war in Iraq.
But he only remained a Democrat briefly, returning to the party of his father and his mother, Fred and Mary Trump, and came home to the Republican Party.
This last week's CPAC.
Was a major success for Donald Trump.
Very much like his recent trip to Ohio, it demonstrates the ability of a former president to not only change the dialogue, but also to attract enormous media attention, particularly at a time when some in the media, Fox, is trying to ignore Donald Trump or pretend that he doesn't exist.
Interestingly enough, Donald Trump won the straw poll, which has always been an important event at CPAC.
Now, I will concede to you that the straw poll has not always been an accurate predictor of who the ultimate Republican nominee would be.
But in this case, with what is appearing to be stacking up as a two-person contest, Donald Trump Topped Florida Governor Ron DeSantis 60% of the vote to 20% of the vote, roughly three to one.
I give credit to former CIA director, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, just for showing up.
He spoke at CPAC and was politely received, as well as former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley.
Neither one of them scored beyond single digits in the all-important straw poll.
However, in the same week, Mike Pompeo gave a strange interview at Fox and Friends in the morning, in which he claimed that Donald Trump was not a conservative.
That's strange because a Heritage Foundation Analysis of Trump's presidency indicates that he was even more conservative than Donald Trump when it came to both his foreign and domestic policies.
Notably absent from this week's CPAC conference, I should say last week's CPAC conference, was Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Perhaps that's because he knew that he could not triumph in this straw poll, which is a good reading of where activists within the Republican Party and, more importantly, the conservative movement stand.
The governor has been on a fairly successful tour talking about the promotion of his new book.
But in the same week, We'll talk about this tomorrow.
DeSantis gave an incredible interview himself to Fox and Friends in which he claimed that, like his predecessors, Donald Trump was somehow soft on Russia.
Specifically, he said Trump spoke positively about Putin.
That is, of course, an outrageous distortion of Donald Trump's position.
Just for the public record, it was Donald Trump who shut down Russia's oil pipeline.
It was Donald Trump who gave Javelin offensive missiles to Ukraine so that they could defend themselves against a Russian invasion.
And it was Donald Trump who enacted the harshest sanctions against Russia since World War II.
The governor is seeking to finesse his position on the war in Ukraine because, well, he recognizes the dichotomy between the billionaires who are financing his upcoming campaign for President of the United States and what is already growing to be war weariness among the American voters.
Remember, the war in Ukraine has now raged for one Solid year, and the United States has given more than a hundred billion dollars to the Ukrainian regime.
Like the war in Afghanistan, like the war in Vietnam for that matter, the longer the war rages on, the less popular it will be.
The more American taxpayers are asked to subsidize the war, particularly in the face of a softening economy here at home, the less popular the war will be.
I have made the case that Donald Trump is the candidate who is best positioned to make the case to the American people that he and he alone is the best person to end the war in Ukraine.
So just as Dwight Eisenhower was elected on a pledge to end the war in Korea, Just as Richard Nixon was elected on a pledge to end the war in Vietnam, Donald Trump is the candidate best positioned to make the case that he, and he alone, is best positioned to get a negotiated settlement for the war in Ukraine.

But this racist DA is being pushed by radical left Democrats, the fake news media, and the Department of Injustice to bring charges against me for now ancient, no-affair story of Stormy Horseface Daniels.
No attraction.
No affair.
I call it no affair.
Where there's no crime anyway.
And charges have never been brought in such a case before.
And this case has been looked by every prosecutor.
They're all looking.
They looked at it for years now.
She was represented by Michael Avenatti.
How's he doing?
He's now in jail.
And the whole thing is a complete con job.
There's a revolution going on within the FBI because they don't want to be doing what they're being told to do because they know right from wrong.
I'm talking about the people that work in the FBI.
And they like me and they like you a lot.
So many of them.
A recent article in the Washington Post, of all papers, stated very succinctly that many did not want to raid Mar-a-Lago.
They didn't want the agents.
They said, that's terrible.
But they were forced to do so by their Marxist, radical left leadership.
And it drove my popularity numbers through the roof.
Who would think this?
I got impeached and I went up 11 points.
It's not supposed to work that way.
Mark, when Nixon got impeached, it went down, right?
It was a spiral down, he couldn't stop it.
I got impeached, we went up.
But the FBI people, they didn't want to do this.

Then there's the racist DA from Atlanta, whose city is among the most violent and dangerous places per capita in the country.

It's totally out of control in that she has her kangaroo court focused on a perfect phone call that I made, while her jury foreman, a rather bizarre young woman, is going around doing media interviews and saying exactly what's going on in this one of many grand juries.
And if you put me back in the White House, their reign is over.
Their reign will be over.
And they know it.
And America will be a free nation once again.
We're not a free nation right now.
We don't have free press.
We don't have free anything.
In 2016, I declared, I am your voice.

And for those who have been wronged and betrayed, I am your retribution.

And yet Mitch McConnell approves $5.5 trillion for Green New Deal garbage.

But I took it from the military because I considered it an invasion.
So Marjorie, I said, you know what I'm gonna do?
I'm gonna take it right out of the military because they're invading our country.
And I got it built and we did a great job.
We did it quickly.
Now we have complete chaos.
Fentanyl is pouring in.
Families are being wiped out, destroyed.
And there's death everywhere.
All caused by incompetence.
Millions of illegal aliens are stampeding across our border.
Interior enforcement has been shut down.
Everyone is overstaying their visas.
Nobody even thinks about reporting it anymore.
My wonderful travel ban is gone.
I had a travel ban.
It was so wonderful.
Refugee numbers are through the roof.
And spies and terrorists are infiltrating our country, totally unchecked, like never before.
When I'm back in the White House, the very first reconciliation bill I will sign will be for a massive increase in Border Patrol and a colossal increase in the number of ICE deportation officers.
And I want to thank the Border Patrol members.
These are incredible people.
And I want to thank ICE, and in particular, I want to thank Brandon Judd, Border Patrol, and Tom Homan, Central Caster.

Under my leadership, we will use all necessary state, local, federal, and military resources to carry out the largest domestic deportation operation in American history.
Other countries are emptying out their prisons, insane asylums, and mental institutions, and sending all of their problems right into their dumping ground, the USA.
Think of it.
They're emptying out their prisons, and you've heard me say that, but they're also emptying out their mental institutions, and Uh, to use a strong couple of words.
Insane asylum.

And they're putting them into our country.

CPAC was awesome.
The only thing that would have been better at Trump Speech is if you were there watching it with me, Roger.
It was a great time.
Well, I'm happy to say that we have been successful in extracting my one and only great-grandson from Ohio, where he and my granddaughter lived a mere 52 miles from the site of that horrific toxic waste spill and the controlled, uncontrolled demolition that made the air, in my opinion, quite poisonous.
I'm happy to say that my My great-grandson and my eldest granddaughter are now in Florida, and it's miraculous, Mike.
As soon as the child got here, his fever ended, the diarrhea ended, the rash that he had has all rested.
So, I was fighting for my family with love to have been with you in CPAC.
So, Mike, tell us, what was the mood like?
Absolutely.
What was the mood like?
Well, the mood was really incredible.
Yeah, so a lot of people were talking about CPAC this year.
There were less people in the ballroom, less people in the crowd.
Yeah, if you were coming to watch Mike Pompeo or Nikki Haley or Vivek, whatever his last name is, nobody was there to see them.
So all these pictures saying, oh, Trump's influence is waning, and there were empty seats.
But that was for the candidates that nobody cared about.
When Donald Trump took the stage, the energy was obviously more palpable.
The room was filled the same way It's been since 2015 when I went to my first Trump rally back then.
So it is pretty amazing how nothing has really changed, where the momentum has continued and has been that strong since then, and it's carried over now years and years later to 2023.
Where he's still giving speeches to packed out ballrooms and people there are excited about him and Roger that's why he dominated the straw poll with 62% which I think turned a lot of heads and obviously Jim McLaughlin gave those results and you know people were were pumped up all the MAGA hats it was really a great time despite what the media says they're taking Nikki Haley's crowd and conflating it with Trump that obviously makes no sense.
So I've got a couple short clips here that we didn't include in that opening segment.
I looked for what I thought were really the most powerful segments of the speech.
We're going to throw them up, and I want to get not only your reaction, but the reaction of the crowd.
Let's run the clip entitled, China.
And I will implement a four-year plan to phase out all Chinese imports of essential goods and gain total independence from China.
We have to do it.
We have to do it.
I will hold China financially accountable for unleashing the China virus upon the world.
And I will again withdraw from the WHO, which stands for We Hide Outbreaks.
We Hide Outbreaks.
What say you, Mike?
Well, I gotta say, obviously, Trump's, when he talks about foreign policy, I think that's what was the most important thing on everybody's mind.
Obviously, people are talking about a World War III and that looming over our head.
And, you know, Trump talking tough on China.
Obviously, we see China talking to Russia and all that.
And I think, you know, something that Trump said about China was that when you have China and Russia getting together, that's something that he never allowed.
So, clearly, Tough on China stance is still very popular with the base and they want accountability for COVID.
I don't think that any other candidate in this race has said explicitly what they will do.
Trump is not afraid to do that.
Again, that's why he's the most fearless candidate in the race and we know what he'll do because he was doing it as president.
He'll do it again when he gets back into office.
Yeah, he made a very good point in the earlier clip of the speech, which is we have, under the Biden administration, essentially driven the Russians directly into the hands of Iran.
Since we and the Russians both have a problem with Islamic terrorism, that is not even a natural alliance.
Trump had managed to keep the Iranians and the Russians and the Chinese separated, but Joe Biden has accomplished one thing.
He has built a powerful and extraordinarily dangerous alliance against us.
I would argue that because of his incredible success in the Middle Eastern peace deal, Which everybody said was impossible.
Because of his toughness on Russia, he's the one who turned their oil pipeline off.
He's the one who sold offensive Javelin missiles, pardon me, gave offensive Javelin missiles to Ukraine.
He's the one who got the North Koreans to the table where they at least temporarily suspended their nuclear weapons development program.
He's already demonstrated in the foreign policy realm that he's the best person with a prospect to end this war.
The longer the war drags on, like the war in Vietnam, like the war in Afghanistan, the less popular and less public support there will be for this war, particularly in a softening American economy with record gas prices, food shortages, and crippling inflation.
It blows my mind that whenever he's asked about inflation, Joe Biden says, yeah, but yeah, inflation's high, but look what I inherited.
What he inherited?
He inherited the lowest inflation rate in recent decades.
So it's really hard to know what he's talking about.
We have a clip here entitled Uncontrollable Trump.
Let's grab it.
Let's grab that one.
Our enemies are Lunatics and maniacs.
They cannot stand that they do not own me.
I don't need them.
I don't need anything about them.
I don't need their money.
They cannot steer me.
They cannot shake me.
And they will never, ever control me.
me, and they will never, ever, therefore, control you.
At the end of the day, anyone else will be intimidated, bought off, blackmailed, or ripped to shreds.
I alone will never retreat, and that is why we must stand together.
I don't know about you, Mike, but I think right there is the single best explanation of why Donald Trump should be the next president.
This is also why the two-party duopoly, the neocons, who at the congressional level have dominated both the Republican and Democrat parties, so completely fear him.
He can't be bought, he can't be bossed, he can't be threatened, and he'll never fold.
Yeah, I mean, it was very clear when you go into the crowd and you talk to the people.
You know, everyone's getting hip to what Donald Trump is exposing, and that's about the big money in politics and the guy who has the stake in TikTok is throwing money behind DeSantis and the Fox News engine where the Murdochs get their money.
Are throwing all their support behind DeSantis.
So you see this this show game that's been going on behind the scenes for years and years and years.
And Donald Trump is the first one to actually expose it and blow it into the open and make it a point for voters to look at.
And that's because he's the only one who hasn't taken the money or who can't be bossed around by others.
Again, he's the only one who's proven that because he's the only one who's been president who's now running in the Republican nomination.
So he's going up with independence.
He's proven a track record.
How could you not put the guy back in for four years?
So I totally agree, Roger.
I think that the crowd is, again, just as enthused with what he was saying years ago, and the message shouldn't change.
He needs to stick to his guns from back then, because his work just isn't done yet, because they robbed it from him, and now he's just got to continue the mission he was on.
That's the name of the game right there.
I honestly believe that in a second term he would be an even greater president than he was in the first term.
As a non-politician, I think he came to Washington with the quaint notion that the country would unite around the new Commander-in-Chief, as we have done in the past.
And he saw things in terms of Republicans versus Democrats.
Now I think he understands that that is not the divide in Washington.
The divide in Washington is between the insiders, who really dominate the parties, both parties, at the congressional level, and a true outsider, Donald Trump, who, in the tradition of Ronald Reagan, comes to Washington with a reform agenda.
Did he make mistakes?
Of course he made mistakes.
Who among us is flawless?
Who among us is perfect?
But now you have a totally wise Donald Trump who has, I think, a much clearer view of who his allies are and who his enemies are.
I noticed that Carrie Lake was a big, big hit.
I also noticed that she came in first in the straw poll for vice president.
Tell us about her remarks.
Well, Carrie Lake, um, it was amazing, because when I saw a crowd, like, usually, like, when these politicians are walking through the crowd, um, there's, like, a lot of fanfare, and usually that's, like, a Marjorie Taylor Greene or a Lauren Boebert, um, or somebody else, right?
Donald Trump Jr.
or something like that.
But Carrie Lake had, like, the biggest group of people around her when she was walking, uh, through Media Row, and I saw, it's Carrie Lake!
So she's as popular as ever, and, Roger, I think the thing about Carrie Lake's election Was that the steal was almost more overt, and it was so much more sloppily done than the 2020 steal, that people are like, wow, Cary Lake really got robbed.
Not only did they do what they did in 2020, but then they totally manipulated the day of voting and made it so 57% of the machines were broken in the biggest voting county, Maricopa.
So everybody knows that.
That's why Cary Lake stock is going up She did get first place in the straw poll for vice president and I got a chance to see her and talk to her and she's always been a great friend of my show and of our movement and I think she needs to be in the Trump administration.
I think she'd be really good as a press secretary.
Have her take it to the press because when she's on there and she's talking, you know, she's just as good as she was when she was running for governor.
So I like that her spirits are still high.
I guess we're going to see what happens with her appeals and Well, I think she has a great, great future, as you do.
And her work is obviously far from over.
If not something in Arizona, she should serve in some capacity.
I think, press secretary, it would be epic.
Well, I think she has a great, great future, as you do.
Yesterday, I had an opportunity to review an analysis of her appeal to the Arizona Supreme Court by the great blogger and journalist Tracy Beans.
And it is really extraordinarily compelling.
When it just comes to out-and-out political talent, I have not seen anybody as compelling or as talented or as poised since Ronald Reagan.
I think she's really that good.
And I like the fact that her spirit has not been dampened.
I like the fact that she, despite the fact that she was subjected to, as you point out, one of the most egregious steals in American history.
It cannot be denied that in 58% of the districts in Maricopa County, and by the way, Mike, they just happen to be disproportionately Republican precincts.
How coincidental.
The votes, the actual ballots sent to the polling places specifically did not fit the tabulator machine and therefore would automatically be rejected.
This is really beyond dispute.
So while I'm disappointed in the lower court's decision in Arizona, I still have high hopes for the Arizona Supreme Court.
I also think, although some have urged Carrie Lake to run for the U.S.
Senate, and while that's always a future possibility, I think it is vitally important that she see this fight through.
That she exhaust all her legal remedies regarding the gubernatorial election.
I think otherwise she would be unfairly depicted as just another politician looking ahead at another office.
This morning I got a chance to see a clip of former Maryland Governor Larry Hogan on Meet the Press announcing that he would not be a candidate for president.
Uh, which is very sad because I guess Chris Christie just lost his dream running mate, Larry Hogan.
Here's what amazed me, Mike.
When I posted it on Twitter, most people said, Larry who?
These people are all legends in their own mind, you know?
They really are.
They think, oh, the base is the Paul Ryans of the world.
Oh, well, I won't be attending the RNC convention if Donald Trump is the nominee.
Who cares, Paul Ryan?
Nobody at CPAC likes you.
You have zero fans.
And Larry Hogan, same thing goes for him.
Same thing goes for Chris Christie.
I can tell you from being in New Jersey, Chris Christie thinks he's the man still.
Can you believe that?
A guy with a 9% approval rating who's hated across the entire country still believes that he is the man and the kingmaker in New Jersey politics.
So these people, Roger, I mean they have egos the size of Chris Christie's waistline I guess you could say all of them do and they really do believe that they are like these movers and shakers and that they could come toe-to-toe with Donald Trump and Larry Hogan had this very serious interview earlier today on Neil Cavuto where he's like yes for the good of the country we're gonna look at somebody else to support and I'm not gonna be doing it at this time and You know, Donald Trump's not going to run independent.
He's not going to do this.
He's not going to get the nomination.
How is Larry Hogan authority and authority on anything about what Donald Trump will or will not do?
It's just absolute stupidity at its purest form.
Yeah, it was a very strange interview.
I knew Larry Hogan's father, by the way, was a congressman from Prince George's County, was a fine principled conservative, one of the real leaders of the Right to Life movement.
So this is an example of where the acorn has fallen far, far from the tree.
I remember when I was going to George Washington University and active in the College Republicans, we would go out to Prince George's County at election time to canvas door to door for Larry Hogan, Dr. Larry Hogan.
He was a great, great man, not so much his son.
So here's one of my favorite clips from Trump's speech.
This one has to do with our relations with Russia.
I was also the only president where Russia didn't take over a country during my term.
Russia took over because I got along with Vladimir Putin very well.
I said, Vladimir, don't do it.
You know, you and I are friends.
Don't take over any countries, because, you know, Moscow will be hit very hard.
I told him things.
He probably didn't believe it, but you know what?
He believed it 10%.
And President Xi believed it when I talked about Beijing.
He probably said, I don't believe him, but there's a 10% chance we're not going to do anything.
It's true.
It's true.
You have no idea.
These conversations, I wish they could have been recorded, actually.
People would think a lot of me.
But with Bush, they invaded Georgia, right?
With Obama, they took Crimea.
With Biden, they're trying to take everything.
And he won't even know they took it.
good.
You know, if Donald Trump wasn't in politics, he really could do stand-up I mean, his timing is really that good.
What did you think of that discussion?
By the way, he has told me directly that he told Putin to his face that if he invaded Ukraine, he would hit Moscow.
So this is not hyperbole.
This is true.
And by the way, it worked.
It worked.

Yeah, absolutely it works.
And the best thing I think about foreign policy, and I was looking at the news today, and all these people on MSNBC and CNN, they're like, Donald Trump said he would end the war in 24 hours.
And Donald Trump just doesn't, you know, how could he say that?
He doesn't have a plan.
He said he won't reveal the plan.
You know, the funniest thing is, Rogers, this wasn't 2015 CNN and MSNBC.
This is like CNN and MSNBC Yesterday, they're saying the exact same recycled garbage that was totally debunked once Donald Trump got to office.
They said he won't know how to deal with foreign policy.
He's a novice.
He's a novice.
As soon as he got into the White House, he put these common sense policies of peace through strength into action.
And guess what?
Nobody messed with us.
But they're going with the same talking points now, I notice, from back then.
They're not even original enough to come up with something.
So obviously what's going on right now with Ukraine and Zelensky and everything, that's the number one thing on people's minds if you want to talk about the pulse of the base at CPAC.
People are worried about a World War III and rightfully so because the military-industrial complex has been pushing this conflict.
Joe Biden has made no bones about trying to find peace.
He's totally just been an aggressor and they've been saying totally impractical things like Putin must leave and We must accept Zelensky and Ukraine into NATO.
Just totally things that sound maybe good to a fly-by person, but anybody who's following this knows that they're just wagging their finger in Putin's face trying to get him to strike first so they can start a foreign conflict.
Donald Trump is the peace president.
He's the only president who demonstrated that he's not bought out by the military-industrial complex.
And I think above all else, if you want to talk about the number one issue, not getting into World War III, Donald Trump's your guy.
He will bring peace through strength.
And it really is common sense, like, if you hit us, we'll just bomb Moscow.
Hey, ISIS leader, here's your house.
Here's the address.
We'll hit it if you hit us.
It's hilarious, and it's funny, but it's also real, and it works.
This is a technique that Nixon called the madman technique, where he would send Henry Kissinger to the Paris Peace Talks on the Vietnam War, and he said, Henry, you tell them, Nixon's a madman, and if you guys don't reach some agreement, you never know, he might nuke you guys.
Now, was Nixon ever really going to nuke them?
No.
But there was that 10% chance they weren't sure.
So I guess I would argue the only thing predictable about Donald Trump is his complete and total unpredictability.

Larry Kudlow is one of the unsung heroes of the Trump administration because he is the man who implemented President Donald Trump's economic plan.
An economic plan that gave us record job creation, record wage growth, and the lowest levels of unemployment among all Americans.
Black Americans, white Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, young Americans, older Americans.
One of the great unsung heroes of the Trump administration and a man who very much deserved that shout out.
President Donald Trump attended CPAC the first time, as I indicated, in 2011.
Then again in 2013, 2014, 2015.
He did not attend in 2016.
Again, in 2013, 2014, 2015, he did not attend in 2016.
Ironically, the year that he was nominated and elected president of the United States.
A question that we get constantly, and I have to bring it up in virtually every show, is the simple question of why President Donald Trump and Governor Ron DeSantis, who largely because of the rhetoric of Governor DeSantis, share many of the same supporters within the Republican Party, don't run together on a combined ticket.
It was on Mike Crispy's show that I first said definitively that Governor DeSantis is most definitely running for president, and I stand by that prediction.
There is, however, a provision in Florida state law that holds that if you hold state office, you cannot run for federal office without first resigning from the state office.
I expect the Florida State Legislature to repeal that law this year at the end of the upcoming special session to clear the way for Governor DeSantis' candidacy.
Of that, I'm certain.
But the reason that they cannot run together in a united ticket is because while the rules of the Electoral College, which is a system by which we select the president, do not specifically prohibit two people from the same state from running on the same ticket. do not specifically prohibit two people from the same state What they do do is penalize you, penalize the party if they nominated such a ticket.
And therefore, let's say the ticket carried Florida, which it would most definitely do.
Well, then unfortunately, the Republican nominees in this case, Trump and DeSantis would forfeit for.
Florida's 37 electoral votes.
So when you're on Twitter, or you're on Truth Social, or you're on Gab, or you're on Telegram, or if you're on Getter or any of these platforms, when you see people who like both Trump and DeSantis suggesting that they should run together, well now you know why there are both legal and electoral political
Impediments to a Trump DeSantis ticket.
Governor DeSantis was very well received at the Reagan Library where he had a full house.
And therefore I stick to my prediction that he will become a candidate at the end of the year.
As I said earlier, in an interview with Fox and Friends, he attempted to finesse his position on the war in Ukraine.
Here is why.
The governor's financial backers, the billionaires who are going to finance his campaign for president, are all out for this war.
But Governor DeSantis is, trust me, no dope.
And he understands that the longer the war drags on, the less popular the war will be.
And that the higher the price tag to American taxpayers of the war, the less popular the war would be.
So he's tried to do several things at once.
On the one hand, he's downgraded the threat of Russia.
Saying that Russia is a third-rate military power, that he doesn't see Russia invading any other NATO countries in the event that Ukraine would fall, and he has criticized the blank check of the Biden administration, but he hasn't told us where he stands and what he would do to end the war.
More importantly, how he feels about spending billions more in Ukraine.
And in the end, I think that given our domestic problems, and putting that aside for a moment, the war in Ukraine is going to emerge as the number one driving issue in the upcoming presidential election.
