Time Text
Yeah, Mr. Snurdley thinks that it was ultimately a compliment, although it may not have been intended as one.
It could have been a compliment, right?
From the CNN, uh, what is she?
She's the uh political correspondent, Neo Malica Henderson.
Anyway, greetings and welcome back, folks.
It's great to have you, Il Rushbo behind the golden EIB microphone, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have.
A telephone number if you want to join us, 800-282-2882 and the email address L Rushbow at EIB net.us.
Play this before we get back into things here, play this one more time.
This this afternoon on CNN's inside politics.
The point here is the media obviously thinks it's over.
It's a landslide upcoming for Hillary.
And so now CNN, even though the CNN poll has Hillary down now to being plus five.
And by the way, you know what their Democrat oversample was in that poll?
It wasn't nine or ten like normal.
It was like a Democrat oversample of five.
Five percent over the Republican registrations.
It was more realistic.
And in that poll, Hillary's up by five.
I still maintain that given everything the way it's played out, she ought to be up by 30.
When you look at the money advantage, the media advantage.
Um fact the Republican Party's not even unified behind their nominee.
The fact that Trump's in five points in a CNN poll is frankly astounding.
And the IDB, investors investors business daily, IBD tip poll still has Trump up by two.
Rasmussen's Tide, LA Times has Trump up by one.
So there's three polls out there that are in great variants from all the other ones.
We just have to see.
But this afternoon on Inside Politics, John King is talking to their political correspondent, Nia Malika Henderson, question.
Our new poll shows nearly nine in ten Clinton supporters have confidence in the election system.
Only 49% of Trump's supporters do.
Now, Neo Malika, Trump's out there saying that it's a rigged election.
What impact does that have as we go into the final two weeks?
If Trump keeps doubling and tripling, quadrupling down on the idea that the media is cooking the books, don't believe the polls.
They're not just rigging the election, don't believe anything they tell you.
What's the practical impact of this?
Hillary Clinton will have her moment, likely her historic moment, and people will be waiting to see what he says.
And I think the truth is, even if he concedes that night, it's likely that he might go back a couple of days later and say, well, I'm not really sure whether or not this thing was on the up and up.
You know, I think he's very much on track to be more of like a Rush Limbaugh figure.
I mean, he was never running as a statesman, so to expect that on Tuesday night he'll give some sort of gracious concession speech is unlikely.
And I think no matter what he says, his people are likely gonna see Hillary Clinton as an illegitimate president.
They saw Barack Obama in many ways as an illegitimate president, even though McCain conceded.
Yeah, Sturdley, you might have a point.
You know what this might be?
Her reference to Trump being more like uh me, a Rush Limbaugh figure, could be traced back to my saying I hope Obama fails.
That I refuse to accept that Obama was the president, and that I didn't want him to succeed.
That, you know, that did throw them for loops back then.
I didn't.
Honest to God, folks, I hate to re-litigate old things.
But I was asked, a lot of other people were too, to write 200 words for the Wall Street Journal on our hopes and dreams for the Obama administration, and I said I can do it in four.
I hope he fails.
And people I maintain everybody knew what I meant, but they took the occasion to say that I was hoping the country failed.
That I was hoping the country failed just so I could be proven right about Obama's policies.
And it was the exact opposite.
I wanted the country to be spared Obama's agenda.
I hoped Obama's agenda failed.
I hoped he failed, and would fail implementing it.
I was hoping people would wake up and see what was in store for them.
I was hoping he would fail to inculcate liberalism throughout our culture.
It was plain as day what I was saying.
And I don't change a word of it.
I meant it then and I meant it now.
But they're saying that Trump may end up being this kind of figure.
Where Hillary is concerned, you know, refusing to accept that he lost.
I never refused to accept Obama lost.
But let me tell you, actually, it's how I hope he fails businesses in nice transition.
This story on Obamacare premiums going up 25%.
We need to stop for a second.
Because this is outrageous, and it ought to have everybody in this country up in arms.
By all rights, everybody in this country ought to be flipping mad and feeling betrayed and lied to.
By the Democrat Party and by Obama, and by extension, Hillary Clinton ought to be in deep trouble because she's out there advocating this thing.
She's out there defending it.
She's out there claiming Obama did the best he could.
Obama's a great guy.
This is the best health care plan we could devise.
Yes, it needs to be tweaked and all that.
The people behind this need to be held accountable and to blame for the genuine damage they have done and continue to do to the greatest health care system in the world, which was ours.
And this is just being treated with a glancing blow.
The media is covering it, but that's it.
There isn't any outrage accompanying the coverage.
There isn't any explanation.
It's just a shucks, isn't it unfortunate?
Man, Obama tried, but man, those insurance companies, look at how mean they are.
Look at how evil these insurance companies, man, they just can't stop gouging people, and that's the way this is being covered.
When everything that's happening here is by design.
Obama did not fail.
We're on the way to single payer, government run health care sooner than anybody imagined.
They're so confident that's where we're headed that they can happily announce premium increases two weeks before an election.
Who does that?
This is like the unemployment rate going up five points two weeks before the election and being honest about it.
They're out there saying they're proudly happily, I don't know about proudly happily, but they're certainly without any reservation.
Happily telling everybody that the Obamacare premiums are going up 25%.
They don't expect there to be any fallout at all from this.
And I'm telling you, folks, there deserves to be.
This is well, it's more than a shame, and it's more than an outrage.
This is dereliction of duty.
This is it's worse than it because this is on purpose.
This ought to be unacceptable.
Let me give you some of the actual words from the Associated Press.
Obama health plan hit by double digit premium hikes.
Now that headline is as disingenuous and dishonest as everything the AP does.
Obama health plan hit by double-digit premium hikes.
Obama health plan is causing double-digit health hikes, premium hikes.
It's not being hit by it, it's causing them.
Premiums will go up sharply next year under President Obama's health care law.
Many consumers will be down to just one insurer, the administration confirmed yesterday.
That's sure to stoke another Obamacare controversy days before a presidential election, before taxpayer provided subsidies, premiums for a mid-level benchmark plan will increase and average of 25% across the 39 states served by the federally run online market.
All this according to the Department of Human Health and Services, or health and human services, or whatever.
It's neither in this case.
Some states will see much bigger jumps, like 116%, I think Arizona.
A lot of states are seeing 80% premium increases.
And then they say, well, this is for those without subsidies.
Well, who the hell is paying the subsidies?
What do you mean those are not subsidies?
It's another damn thing.
Subsidies?
It doesn't have a prayer.
If it has to be subsidized, then it has no relationship to market prices or forces whatsoever.
If it has to be subsidized in order for people to use it, it's already a disaster.
Moreover, about one in five consumers will have plans only from a single insurer to pick from.
You can say goodbye to competition then.
After major national carriers like United Health Group, Humana, and Aetna have scaled back their roles because they have seen the handwriting on the wall, and it's a death sentence to stay involved in this.
Consumers, this is Larry Levitt, who tracks health care law for the Kaiser Family Foundation.
He said, Consumers will be faced this year with not only big premium increases, but also with a declining number of insurers participating, and that'll lead to a tumultuous open enrollment period.
Republicans pounced on the numbers as a warning that insurance markets created by Obamacare are teetering toward a death spiral.
Sign-up season starts November 1st, about a week before the elections, in which the GOP remains committed to a full repeal.
And then they quote Trump saying it's over for Obamacare.
Hillary wants to double down, make it more expensive, it's not gonna work.
All of this misses the point.
This is the war on the middle class going nuclear.
Obamacare is unaffordable and always has been unaffordable.
Obamacare is unsustainable and always has been unsustainable.
Obamacare was designed to cause panic and harm for millions of Americans in the hope that they would blame insurance companies for their plans and then turn to the government for a solution for relief, which is exactly what's happening.
The insurance companies are taking the hit.
Consumers are asking the government to come in and fix it.
Because you see, Obama tried, really tried.
He was so so compassed, he still worked so hard to people would have health insurance, work so hard to insure the uninsured, it is evil insurance companies.
And tried to tell these insurance companies before all this happened.
If you're getting in bed with Obama, you're gonna end up going out of business, no matter what sweet-selling stuff he's talking to you right now.
You're gonna take the hit on this.
Well, we can't uh we can't we can't not participate.
The insurance companies are what looped them in, what suckered them in was Obama and the mandate.
And if you ran a business where the federal government was going to make a law that every consumer had to buy your product, what would you do?
You'd get in bed with the government and you'd pull up the covers, and whatever they wanted to do underneath, you would do.
What a deal.
You're in the health insurance business, and a government's gonna pass a law making sure that everybody has to buy it.
How in the world do you not participate in that?
But as is always the case, the people that get in bed with government, they can turn on you at any time and where you were once cronies.
Now you become the focal point of the bad guys as the bad guys.
But this folks, this is unacceptable.
You know, people were saying before Obamacare became, well, it can't get any worse, has it?
I I I'm I've been searching for ways to describe this.
And I look at the way it's being covered in the media, it's being reported, but that's it.
Health care prices, health care insurance, insurance premiums going up 25% average.
Some states it's going to be higher, and the number of people, companies you'll have a chance to buy from are dwindling to.
This is the kind of failure that people do not profit from in the past.
They do not win re-election.
They are held accountable.
They are.
This is causing great damage.
This is causing panic.
You know how Important health care is to people.
The Democrats, in fact, have done that too, been harping on this whole notion of health insurance, and it's as incumbent on you as a lawyer government has to provide it for you.
Been portraying doctors and hospitals and insurance companies as a bunch of people that want to do nothing but kill you while soaking you and taking all your money, and they have been creating this panic that if you don't have health insurance, you're but one paycheck away from being bankrupt.
They've been doing this for 30 years, and then they come give us this?
It is unconscionable what has been done here, and this is just one slice of American life and culture and business, the economy, however you want to phrase it, that this administration has targeted.
Because the aim is to replace as much of this with the government as possible.
Some of you might be saying, well, why Russia, why would they want it's power, folks?
And if you don't have this kind of power, if you don't have a desire for it, it's tough to explain it.
You know, why would a bunch of bureaucrats want to be able to control your health care?
It's not that they want to control your health care.
If they want to control the way you live, if they can tie every life decision you make to health care that they are paying for, then they can deny you certain things.
They can tell you can't eat that, drink that, can't go there, can't travel there, can't have too many kids, can't do this.
They have total control over who you are and how you live based on how much your health care is going to cost them.
There will be death panels.
There will be rationing.
There will be decisions made on who gets treatment and who doesn't.
And it's going to be based on age.
It's going to be how some bureaucrat values your life versus somebody else's.
Who's worth more in terms of getting treatment so they live longer?
Who does the country miss less if they die sooner?
These kinds of things are coming.
Because they're not going to bust the budget on health care like they do for other things.
They're going to use it to control as much of your behavior as they can.
It's the same objective behind climate change or global warming.
It's to control your behavior.
It's to guilt trip you into behaving the way they want you to.
And top of the list is you behave in ways that do not threaten their power, and you never vote against them.
It's insidious what's being done here.
All for the quest for power of a particular political party and everybody in it.
And the kicker here is that these are the people who get all the credit for having big hearts and compassion and understanding.
These are the people claiming to be looking out for the little guy.
They are destroying little guys everywhere.
They're doing it with immigration, amnesty, illegal, open borders, refugees coming in from who knows where in whatever numbers.
Now with health care, climate change, it's got to stop.
It has to stop.
College loans have become so burdensome that a college education may not be worth it, depending on what your degree is in and how much money you're going to earn in life, whether it's enough to even pay off your loans and then have a career after that.
Everything this party is touching is going down the tubes at one rate or another.
Brief time out, your phone calls are coming next.
So don't go.
Hey, can I ask you a quick question?
If Donald Trump had shown up anywhere yesterday and 30 people showed up, do you think it'd be news?
If only 30 people, Tim Kane was here.
Tim Kane was across the bridge.
He's over in West Palm Beach.
30 people showed up.
And the only people talking about it are bloggers.
Cybercast News Service, Environmental Protection Agency Chief.
Now keep in mind what I just told you about Obamacare And climate change, and what the objective of these people is.
Trump would be wise to start incorporating this into his campaign.
This whole Obamacare business and all of this misinformation, this lying stuff they're saying about climate change is all about the acquisition of power and the concentration of power in government.
If they control your health care, which is one of the most important things to you, if they are in charge of you getting actual health care, not just insurance, they own you.
They literally own you.
If they want to tell you what you must eat in order to qualify, you'll do it.
If they want to tell you what kind of car to drive, but I'm just picking harmless examples.
They have they will have total control over you.
And the same thing here with climate change.
It's the same reason it's the desire for amassing concentrated power in government to wield over everybody.
And here's the news from the chief of the Environmental Protection Agency.
This is Gina McCarthy.
She's the administrator.
People have to start living a life that's commensurate with reductions in greenhouse gases.
That means you've gonna have to start thinking about living without air conditioning.
You're gonna have to start thinking about living with less refrigeration.
You're gonna have to start thinking about living with much fewer carbon emissions.
Maybe, I mean, they want to roll back people's freedom, liberty, advancement, and lifestyles.
Hey, look, folks, we're gonna get to the phones here very quickly.
Just a couple of more things I have to do here so that I can stay on point.
As to Obamacare, why would the Democrats want to stick with it themselves?
Why is there no outrage on the Democrats side?
Now, you're you might see a pocket here or pocket their stories where Democrats are worried about it from the standpoint of their re-election.
I've seen a couple stories.
Democrats worried about Obama here, the premiums going up may impact down ballot race.
Down ballot race?
What about people's lives?
Twenty-five, thirty-five, fifty percent increases in premiums for something you've convinced people they're gonna die if they don't have.
They're gonna die or they're gonna go bankrupt.
You Democrats have done that.
You have instilled panic in people over the concept of health insurance.
And now look what it's costing them.
And your concern is the effect it's gonna have on your re-election.
What about your concern for these people?
What about your concern for the average ordinary American citizen who's facing these consequences and doesn't have ways to write themselves a check like many of you in government apparently do?
Why is the regime tolerant of this?
Why isn't Obama outraged?
Why isn't he out there doing something to show people how mad he is?
Why is it left to Trump to say we're gonna change this?
Why is it left to the Republicans to say this is unacceptable?
Why do not the Democrats suffer the consequences of their actions and ideas on this?
This is just it's patently absurd here.
This is incompetence what they have done to the health care system all for their own benefit.
They don't have the financial concerns the average American does.
Paying for things is not a problem to these establishment types that are behind this kind of legislation.
All this compassion they have for the little guy, where is it today with the news that health insurance premiums are making the whole concept of having disposable income impossible?
These are people that are gonna be behind paycheck to paycheck.
They're never gonna get ahead.
Because the law requires them to have this product or pay a fine.
This is one of the meanest and cruelest things that has been done to the people of this country, if you ask me.
It's just downright mean when you get down to it.
It's cruel, It's insensitive.
And they laugh about it and they chuckle about it.
Obama's legacy is destroying health care and family budgets.
How's all that hope and change working out for people?
Let's go back, you know, Obama had a speech after he won a primary.
I think this was up in Minnesota.
He said, it might have been his nomination victory speech, I don't know, but it was it was one of those.
It was close to it.
He said, Because if we're willing to work for it and fight for it and believe in it, then I'm absolutely certain generations from now we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless.
This was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal.
This was the moment when we ended a war and secured our nation and restored our image as the last best hope on earth.
None of that has come to pass.
We are not providing care for the sick, we're making it unaffordable.
There aren't good jobs for the jobless.
There aren't jobs, period.
And if you listen to the climate change kooks, it's getting worse than ever out there.
And we've only got a couple of decades before the sea levels eat us alive.
We haven't ended any wars.
Obama's got this country in more wars than George Bush could ever dream of.
And our image hasn't been restored.
We're looked at as a once has been superpower, paper tiger.
Now little thug dictators and would-be dictators in the Philippines can mouth off about our president.
Nobody cares.
And while all of this is going on, a guy who doesn't have a single fingerprint on any of this mess is being portrayed as the greatest threat known to America and mankind, and that would be Donald Trump.
We are living the greatest threat.
The greatest threat ever known to mankind is liberalism, totalitarianism, communism.
Take your pick, and they are running this country.
We might have won the Cold War, but we actually didn't.
Communism has never been so prevalent and dominant in this country as it is today.
College campuses, K through 12 education.
You can't avoid it.
Young little skull full of mush millennials don't even know about Soviet communism.
It's not even taught.
Many of them still living in home with mom and dad because they can't find jobs that pay them enough to move out on their own.
And then the Daily Caller has this story headline Top University stole millions from taxpayers by faking global warming research.
A global warming research center at the London School of Economics got millions of dollars from UK taxpayers by taking credit for research it didn't perform.
According to an investigative investigation by the UK Daily Mail revealed the uh UK government gave 11 million dollars to the Center for Climate Change Economics and Policy, the CCCEP.
Take the E out of there, and you got the CCCP, which is the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
I'm just making the point.
11 million dollars to the Center for Climate Change Economics and Policy in exchange for research the organization never actually did.
But they reported massive damage to the climate.
They reported massive global warming.
They didn't do a shred of research.
They just took the 11 million dollars.
We're talking about the London scruwel of economics here.
One of the most respected screws in the Mick Jagger went there for crying out loud.
The whole global warming racket in a nutshell can be explained by what happened at the London School of Economics.
Another lie, another fraud being foisted upon people To make them frightened for the very survivability of the human race.
So you wouldn't believe how many millennials literally believe, folks.
I'm telling you, I read it in my tech blogs.
You wouldn't believe how many of these little kids do not think that the life that they know that life itself is going to be habitable.
The planet is not going to be habitable when they hit 65.
They actually believe this.
Journalist blogger tech people, 25, 30-year-old millennials.
They actually believe this.
And they believe this nonsense explanations for it.
Too much carbon in the atmosphere.
Fracking, oil production, SUVs being driven around.
They really believe if we don't find a way to get to Mars in 50 years that the human race may die out.
They really believe it.
I mean, this is it's it's insane.
And of course, we don't have an opposition party that dare speak up about any of this.
It's left to us to do it.
And of course, the left doesn't want to hear any opposition to this.
They want to steamroller everybody, so we end up taking the arrows for all this.
But I don't care, folks.
It's just it this is near criminal what is being done to the great economy, the great health care system, and to the people of this country.
And the people who have made this mess, from the college education to health care, have no right.
They do not deserve to be re-elected.
They do not deserve to stay in power.
They do not deserve four more years or eight more years to continue this destruction of what was once was the greatest country in the history of humanity.
And yet, it looks like they're on the verge of being reelected.
I've got to take a break, and I promise they come back from this one, and we're gonna go straight to your phone calls.
People have been holding for a while here, so I know.
And then there's some conservatives out there who, despite all of this going on, and know they know full well all this is going on.
They know what's happening to health care, they know what's happening via climate change, they know the designs that the left in this country and Hillary Clinton, they know the designs these people have on power and total control, owning the Supreme Court, and even that is not enough for some of them to join us in trying to beat Hillary Clinton because it involves supporting Donald Trump.
So they can't, they can't they can't embarrass themselves to actually support or or recommend Trump uh so balance these things out.
And it apparently is judged to be better to let Hillary continue the Obama administration march on America than to stop it.
Now I would ask you, what good is the conservative movement if that's the choice some of its leaders make?
But that's a subject for another day, and believe me, that's gonna come up.
That's gonna be whether Trump wins this or loses this.
This internecine war is still in the skirmish stage, prepared to where these people want to take it.
But here's Catherine and Houston as we start on the phones.
I really appreciate your patience.
I got on a uh uh roll here today, and I didn't feel like interrupting myself, so I appreciate your hanging on.
Uh, not a problem.
Uh, thank you for taking my call.
First time caller, uh closet listener, and also a Trump uh supporter in the closet also, been very quiet and laying low.
I um went to do my civic duty at for early voting, and it was very interesting.
I was just waiting in line, and then all of a sudden, this mother, daughter with her family, uh became she's like, um, there's a problem.
She brought it to the attention to the woman who is allowing everybody into go in to vote.
And she said, um, you can straight, you can either vote straight Republican or straight Democratic.
And what it ended up happening is is that she said, Well, when my daughter went to vote um for the president, you know, I went she went straight ticket, but then she went to go for Trump.
His name was gone off the straight ticket.
Yeah, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
You are spawning a lot of questions.
First place, how old is this daughter that's voting?
Uh, she said 18.
It was her first time uh voting.
Okay, so at least that's okay.
Um because I'm envisioning a five year old here.
No, nope, nope.
Okay.
So this did not happen to you.
It happened to another mother, daughter.
Yeah, right in front of me, because then it made me make sure that I went carefully through my voting.
What kind of ballot?
Is this a paper ballot?
Did you punch holes in or is it electronic ballot?
Electronic ballot, where you spin a dial and you hit enter, you spin a dial and like a slot machine?
Yep.
Oh man.
So when you when you vote straight Republican ticket, what Trump's name disappears?
Yes, that's what the mother and then sh the mother.
Well, does everybody does every other Republican's name on the ballot disappear?
Um I she did not go further.
They kind of moved her aside and then brought the judge out, and then she was just telling everybody in line, make sure you go carefully through.
And it was interesting because everybody I I pretty much got the feeling of everybody was uh a Trump voter because they were all they were all talking then before um I ended up getting shooed into to go vote.
Wow, early voters were Trump voters.
Yes.
Yes, yes, okay.
I I've not uh seen an electronic ballot.
Uh we here in Florida still do the Chads.
Yes, we do.
Uh well, we don't punch the Chads, we color them in, and then the machine reads them and and so that we have a little black pencil we go in there and it's like coloring book day.
Uh so I don't know the kind of ballot you're talking about.
I I can see where after if if you vote straight ticket, I can see where the candidate's name would disappear because the vote then has been registered.
I guess.
Well, and that's what she was asking, she's inquiring.
Because at the end of after you let's say, for instance, how I myself did it by going individually tick by each name that I was going by and punching it, it would go back and allow you to double check and you could go previous to see to make sure all the names that you had selected would be there for you.
Well now, interestingly, I have just been informed that there is a story at the Zero Hedge blog.
Zero Hedge website.
Here's the headline five hours ago.
Texas rigged question mark, reports of voting machines switching votes to Hillary in Texas.
Uh and I wouldn't I wouldn't be surprised.
You would not be surprised.
Nope.
You know, I moved down here in two thousand and nine when everything's uh down to Texas.
I'm originally uh from Chicago, northwest of Chicago.
Well then you're used to this kind of stuff.
Okay.
Yes, yes, yes, yes.
And it um I but I was thankful because I was in the suburbs.
So if you are a Republican out in the suburbs, you at least you could breathe, you know, and not worry.
But if you were in the city, that's a whole different ball game.
Okay, but you don't have any evidence that that that woman's vote was switched, it's just that Trump's name disappeared, nobody knows why.
Right.
And then so what happened was is the woman's like, well, I'm gonna come back with my mother, who's an elderly woman, and I you know, and then she's like, well, then you can be your mother's assistant in uh uh a voting, being a a voting assistant.
And she goes, Well, then should I have been my d 18-year-old daughter's voting assistant to make sure that I I want to make sure that my vote is counted and it's counted correctly.
Right.
But and so then the judges, people were trying to move her and her family uh uh uh aside and getting people, you know, moving everyone quickly.
I'm just saying to all those that are like myself, a Trumpster in quietly uh i in down.
Most people are.
Most people trust the system.
Most people trust trusted Obama on health care.
They believed him.
It's president, premium gonna go down twenty-five hundred dollars.
They believed it.
Some people thought it was free.
Showed up at the hospital, hi, I'm here for my appendectomy.
Oh good.
Well, we don't have you well Obamacare was signed yesterday.
It's free, so I'm here to get it.
That happened.
Some places.
Uh every election we get stories like this.
Uh Catherine from from people from all over the country.
And in this case, we've got a backup here from Zero Hedge, uh claiming other people, not claiming, reporting other people or claiming the same thing as you.
Except they're going a step further and saying that the machines in Texas are changing their votes from Trump to uh to to Clinton.
Uh one one similar report to yours happened in Arlington, Texas, between Fort Worth and uh and Dallas.
Person voted a straight Republican ticket, only to find just before submitting her ballot that her presidential choice had been switched to Clinton Kane.
I don't know, based on your story, how you would know that.
Your story is that Trump's name just disappeared after voting straight ticket.
Um but other people have taken it a step further, and I guess have figured out this means that the vote's being switched.
Somebody this is early enough, they'll get to the bottom of it.
The question is whether they'll do anything about it after they get to the bottom of it.
We'll be back after this.
It is the fastest three hours in media, and we've come to the conclusion of the second exciting big broadcast hour here at a big program.
