Time Text
Anyway, look at how long it took Ted Wells to investigate and bring charges against the New England Patriots, if there are charges.
As opposed to how quickly, what's her face, Marilyn Mosby moved in Baltimore.
And Ted Wells were just talking about deflated footballs for crying out loud.
Anyway, great to have you back, folks.
Rush Limbaugh, the EIB Network, and the Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies.
Before we get to Clinton, number one, grab soundbite 33.
Something else.
I had these soundbites yesterday, and I did not have a chance to get to them.
And I've got them back here.
Carly Fiorina made mincemeat of the perky Katie Croick.
Is she still at Yahoo?
Yeah, she is.
Yahoo! Global news anchor.
Anyway, Carly Fiorina is in many respects on fire out there in the Republican presidential sweepstakes.
Anyway, the regime has focused here on Garland, Texas.
And at the White House press secretary briefing this afternoon, Josh Ernest got a question from Fox News Kevin Cork.
He said, I want to ask you about Texas.
Is there any news out of the allegation that ISIS may have been involved with the attack?
Now, let me put this in perspective.
ISIS has already claimed credit for the attack.
ISIS claimed credit for the attack two minutes before the attack.
They tweeted, one of these perps tweeted two minutes before shots were fired that there were going to be shots fired.
ISIS has claimed credit.
It's no longer a curiosity.
But yet today, the White House press briefing, Fox News correspondent Kevin Cork said to the press secretary Josh Ernest, now I want to ask you about Texas.
Is there any news out of the allegation that ISIS may have been involved in this attack in Texas?
No, I don't have an updated intelligence assessment to share.
What the intelligence community is trying to do is they're trying to investigate specifically ISIL's claim of responsibility.
And that involves more than just authenticating that the claim published yesterday originated from ISIL.
The analysts want to review whether the claim is accurate.
And if so, at what level ISIL may have known or potentially even sanctioned this attempted attack.
There's a lot to review here, and that work has not yet been completed.
I mean, the regime is doing everything they can to prove ISIS innocent here.
They're going out of their way to try to construct a scenario where they can credibly say that ISIS cannot conclusively be shown to have committed the attack.
I mean, this is just rich.
Well, the analysts want to review whether the claim is accurate.
And if so, at what level ISIL may have known or potentially even sanctioned this attempted attack.
There were shots fired.
Somebody got hit, and it's still an attempt.
There's a lot to review here, and that work has not yet been complete.
Somebody get Marilyn Mosby on the case.
We would have known last week what happened here.
Really, they're going out of their way.
They are going out of their way at the regime to exonerate ISIS here.
Oh, they would love to be able to do that.
They would love to be able to.
You know, I can't wait.
They would love to be able to lay this off on some deranged, somebody they would call an extreme right-wing kook.
We mentioned at the top of the program that the Clinton crime family is suffering.
They're suffering in the media.
The media, featuring many women, by the way, who used to be totally enamored of Bill Clinton, are now becoming concerned.
Not over the fact that Bill Clinton's lying about every aspect of the foundation.
They're concerned that his lying is now not as good as it used to be.
And they're worried that maybe Bill's losing it.
The fact that he's still lying about it, that's okay.
Because he's always lied about things, particularly when the Clintons have been caught doing something.
But they've always marveled at the skill, the adroitness, the fluency and fluidness of a Clinton lie.
They have been dazzled.
They have been impressed with the ability of Bill Clinton to lie and make you want to be part of the lie.
But they're not feeling it anymore.
They're not saying when they look at Bill Clinton as he lies, oh, if only it was me instead of Hillary who was married to him.
Oh, if only me instead of Jennifer Flowers.
Media used to say that.
They don't now.
Or they aren't now.
And they're terribly disappointed.
They're afraid maybe that Bill's losing it.
Losing the ability to lie better than anybody else ever has.
This roguish characteristic.
And it was obvious when recently Clinton was asked if he was going to keep giving these $500,000 speeches, even while Hillary's running for president and it looks like the money could be actually bribes for future influence from her as president.
He said, essentially, hell yes, I'm going to keep doing speeches.
Somebody got to pay the bills here.
And the media say, what do you mean pay the bills?
You people at a net worth here approaching $250 million.
What bills do you have that you still have to give $500,000 speeches for?
There's disappointment all over the place.
Bill Clinton's not the liar or the rationalizer he used to be.
Nobody seems to care about his exculpatory statements.
They just want a better lie about what's going on with this foundation.
They want a better rationalization.
The media, don't misunderstand, the media is still perfectly willing to look the other way at any bribery or criminal activity whatsoever as long as Clinton can lie about it artfully.
But if he can't, it's going to make it real hard for them to look the other way.
See, the standard for the Clintons, it took me a long time to learn this.
The standards for the Clintons is not truth.
It never has been.
The standard for the Clintons isn't legal.
It isn't ethical.
There's no morality involved in the standard for the Clintons in terms of the way the media look at them.
It is legal, ethical, moral relativism.
It is how well the Clintons can lie their way out of these things that enables the media to cover them without being critical.
If the Clintons can't lie well enough to provide the media cover, then there's a problem.
The Clintons used to get away with this by accusing enemies of trivial infractions in angry tones, as if everybody does it.
They used to get away with trashing and tarring Ken Starr as a sex pervert.
It was so outrageous, the media loved it.
Ken Starr, who is so colorless, if it weren't for the varicose veins, nobody would notice him.
A sex pervert, they ate it up.
They loved Ken Starr, a sex pervert, and he's trying to get all of y'all babies smoke a cigarette, as Carville said.
Well, they loved that.
It was totally outrageous, but it was great theater, and the Clintons came up with it.
They were able to play the defiant victim with relish.
In the end, really very little was expected of Bill and Hillary.
All they had to do was lie in an entertaining and lovable way.
When Hillary, I'll tell you, testifies for Congress, it's been announced she's going to do one appearance.
She's not expected to clear herself.
That will not be the standard.
The standard is not will she have an answer for all this.
Where are the emails?
Why'd she sweep the server?
That's not the standard.
The standard will be: does she fight back at these evil Republicans?
Does she make Trey Gowdy look like a rooster at the end of a rainy Friday?
Can she make mince meat out of them?
Doesn't matter what she did.
It doesn't matter how illegal or legal.
It's how she succeeds in embarrassing the Republicans.
And if the media is starting to get concerned that the Clintons have lost touch in blaming their enemies, it really comes down to that.
It's going to be very, very difficult going forward for the media to willingly side with them.
But you see, that's the rub here, folks, because Hillary's working on a new and improved voice.
Have you heard it?
She's trying out the I'm perfectly calm persona in place of the Nurse Ratchet persona, in place of the I ain't no ways tarred persona.
Saturday Night Live has correctly portrayed Hillary as a wild-eyed, ambitious nut willing to say anything to get elected.
You know what I think Hillary is doing?
I think she's studying Ben Carson.
Calm, cool, composed, collected, in no way defensive or insecure.
I think Hillary is studying Ben Carson, particularly his announcement earlier this week, and that's who she is trying to come off as, attitudinally and in terms of confidence.
Now, we'll see how this plays out when she's asked to explain why she destroyed evidence under subpoena.
Again, if she can blame the Republicans for it, the media will eat it up, and it doesn't matter what she did.
If she can get away with blaming the Republicans, lie through her teeth, and if her husband can come to her defense and carry on that whole theme, then they will be loved again.
It doesn't matter what she did, it's how she gets away with it.
And can they successfully, once again, blame their enemies for what they've done?
That's the standard.
So, in that light, let's go to the audio soundbites.
This morning, CNN's new day, they played a preview clip from an upcoming episode of Amonpour, TV show named after their reporter it over there, Christiana Manpour, on CNN International, where Christiana Manpour interviews Bill Clinton at the Clinton Global Initiative Middle East and Africa meeting.
In the clip, Clinton talks about questions over foreign donations to the Clinton Foundation and said this.
We had a policy when she was Secretary of State that we would only continue accepting money from people that were already giving us money.
And I've tried to recreate that policy as nearly as I can now during the campaign, with minor exceptions for our health care workers.
So Clinton is saying he's using the same policy that he used when she was Secretary of State with minor exceptions.
Well, see, he sounds tired here.
This is another thing.
He sounds tired, weak of voice, and not as in control of things.
Media is understandably concerned.
Well, we had a policy, she's Secretary of State, that we would only accept money from people already giving us money.
That's everybody.
That's not a restriction.
He continued, and he said that these charges that are flying around about Hillary and him taking bribes, essentially, it just won't fly.
We also have 300,000 other donors, and 90% of them give $100 or less.
So there's just no evidence.
Even the guy that wrote the book, apparently, had to admit under questioning that he didn't have a shred of evidence for this.
He just sort of thought he'd throw it out there and see if it'd fly.
It won't fly.
Is that what you say?
It won't fly.
Yeah, it won't fly.
It won't fly.
Christiana Maseva, is she desperate?
She's desperate to know that it won't fly.
None of this will fly.
That's, by the way, he's talking about Peter Schweitzer.
Peter Schweitzer did not say that he didn't have a shred of evidence.
What Peter Schweitzer said, I'm not pursuing criminal activity.
I'm not pursuing evidence to prove a crime here.
I'm simply reporting what I have found about the way they run the foundation.
If there's a crime here, it's up to others to prosecute that, like Marilyn Mosby.
That's not what I do.
I'm a journalist.
I'm an author.
And Clinton is taking that.
Hey, even the guy who wrote the book said there's no crime going on here.
I mean, so they're just throwing it up there against the wall, see what flies.
And Christiana.
It won't fly, will it?
Oh, God, tell us it won't fly.
It won't.
It won't fly, Christiana.
Don't sweat it.
What are you doing after this interview, by the way?
But it's not working.
It's not mollifying them.
Yesterday in Marrakesh, Morocco, at the Clinton Global Initiative Middle East and Africa meeting, Sudanese British mobile phone entrepreneur and billionaire Mohammed Ibrahim spoke with Clinton about the recent questions about the foundation accepting foreign donations.
And Ibrahim and Clinton had this little chat back and forth.
I was shocked to see these attacks on the foundation.
This foundation is getting money from Saudi Arabia.
What is wrong if Saudi Arabia give money for a farm in Africa?
What's the big deal?
I didn't see anybody from the foundation standing up and really have a go at that.
I just work here.
I don't know.
Look, there's one set of rules for politics in America and another set for real life.
And you just have to learn to deal with it.
Hey, this, look, whatever you, this is not the way Bill Clinton would have used to handle this.
Hey, you know, I just work here.
I don't know.
Look, there's one set of rules for politics in America, another set for real life, and you just.
The donors are desperately wanting Clinton to rise up and swap this stuff all away.
And Mohamed Ibrahim ever shook the city's attacks on the foundation.
So get us what's comes from Saudi Arabia.
Look at the way.
Look at the Republican, please.
Hey, I just work here.
Muhammad, I don't know what the hell is going on here.
Hillary Clinton, grab audio soundbite number six.
You have to hear this.
This is last night in Las Vegas at Rancho Haskruel.
Hillary Clinton held a roundtable discussion campaign event.
Just absorb this.
We can't wait any longer for a path to full and equal citizenship.
Now, this is where I differ with everybody on the Republican side.
Make no mistakes.
Today, not a single Republican candidate, announced, or potential, is clearly and consistently supporting a path to citizenship.
Not one.
When they talk about legal status, that is code for second-class status.
If Congress continues to refuse to act as president, I would do everything possible under the law to go even further.
And grab number seven.
This is a companion, and we do have time.
Barely squeeze it.
Listen to that.
The facts are really clear.
Listen.
You know, we know how much people who are working hard contribute to our economy.
Illegal.
Both in what they buy and in what they pay in taxes.
And in New York, which I know a little bit about because I represented it for eight years and I live there now.
Listen.
Our undocumented workers in New York pay more in taxes than some of the biggest corporations in New York.
You, I just, I told you, I told you.
Back in the moment.
Yeah, man.
The drive-bys are going to have fun fact-checking that, aren't they?
You hear that?
Play soundbite seven again.
We had to jam that at you real fast here because of the constraints of time.
This is Mrs. Clinton at Rancho High School.
And she's campaigning.
High school, low information.
Remember, we just had news that, what, 16% or whatever, eighth graders know nothing about America.
I forget what the number is.
It's just devastating.
And she's out talking to a bunch of really uneducated high school students here and justifying amnesty, ripping Republicans for not caring about illegals, not caring about people of color, and saying she's going to do it no matter what.
There isn't a single Republican that cares about these people, but I do it.
And not only that, you want to know how these people are discriminated against.
Listen to this.
The facts are really clear.
You know, we know how much people who are working hard contribute to our economy, both in what they buy and in what they pay in taxes.
In fact, in New York, which I know a little bit about because I represented it for eight years and I live there now, our undocumented workers in New York pay more in taxes than some of the biggest corporations in New York.
I mean, it's just, that's, wait a minute.
That's the kind of stuff media loves, though.
They love that.
See, that's so audacious.
That's the kind of lie that Clintons are known for, that the media loves getting behind.
Just like Harry Reid saying, friend of mine told me Mitt Romney hadn't paid his taxes in 10 years.
What, friend?
You don't need to know that.
You need to go ask Romney why he hasn't paid his taxes in 10 years.
And the media goes off and does it.
So it won't be long here before there's going to be a theme out there on Twitter and Facebook and every social media that illegals pay more in taxes than New York corporations.
Undocumented workers pay more in taxes.
They're undocumented.
How do we know?
I mean, you don't even have to go to that point to discover how literally absurd that is.
But remember the audience, low information people are going to just sop that right up.
They're going to believe that because they want to believe it, because they've also been told how rotten and greedy and selfish corporations are.
Here's Julie Pace.
She's the AP Infobabe.
And she was on CNN's New Day this morning, and John King was talking to her about Hillary's comments on immigration at this Las Vegas town hall.
And King said, you know, that's smart politics.
To go out and say that?
That these illegals are paying more in taxes than corporations?
That's smart.
See?
It doesn't matter that it's a lie.
It doesn't matter that it's absurd.
It doesn't matter that it's a disservice to these kids.
No, no, no.
That's smart politics.
It stokes the Republican fire.
But she's sitting in Nevada.
Used to be a swing state, been Democrat the last couple cycles.
If the Latino population is growing in your state in presidential politics, guess what?
It's turning blue.
And here's Julie Pace, her AP.
Hillary Clinton laid down a really tough marker there.
She was to the left of President Obama on this, saying not only does she want to have citizenship through legislation, but she suggested she would even be willing to do that through executive actions.
And when she's talking about the Republican field, the person she's really talking about there is Jeb Bush, because Jeb Bush has talked about how he would be willing to look for legal status for people who are in this country illegally, but he has not talked as clearly about citizenship.
And she's saying she would go that far.
So Hillary Clinton is getting to the left of Obama and Jeb Bush on immigration.
Now, how could it be that Hillary has to work hard to get to the left of a potential Republican nominee on any issue?
How does that happen?
How does it happen that a died-in-the-wool socialist Democrat has to work hard to get to the left of a potential Republican nominee?
That's just mind-boggling.
But that's her analysis.
But you see, Hillary Clinton lies through her teeth about undocumented workers paying more in taxes than New York corporations.
Not one blink of an eye in the media.
Not doesn't even register with them.
And so it goes uncommented on.
Therefore, it stands.
And these students at this school walk out of that school at the end of the day thinking that that's true.
That's the Clintons the media know and love.
Make no mistake about it.
Here's Bruce in Jacksonville, Florida.
Hey, Bruce, I'm glad you called.
Thank you for waiting, and welcome to the program.
Hello.
Oh, Rush.
It's just such an honor to get on your program all these years.
Appreciate that.
Oh, gosh.
I've been on hold so long, I almost forgot what I called to talk about.
You were talking about the mayor bringing in the Department of Justice.
Yeah, Baltimore.
Yeah, and I think that's just another deflection.
I think, you know, like to play off your, you know, the Clinton analogy you have with Ken Starr, it's just another deflection.
It's another way just to distract from what's really going to happen.
I think the forensics and the facts and I think the mayor...
Oh, you think that...
Wait, let me see one minute.
You think the mayor believes that these charges are not going to amount to anything?
Well, I think as they stated earlier in the show, as you were talking about, it's just going to be a lot bigger circus than they anticipated.
So I guess they're calling the big guns now while they still have some credibility.
But I think the press is turning against them a little bit because they're just not getting the coverage.
Yeah.
You know, the sympathetic coverage they've gotten in the past.
And I think it's going to be a fiasco.
I mean, there's going to be millions of dollars in court costs, legal fees, prosecuting all these people that didn't need to be arrested for all this protesting that should have been avoided if she had made the proper decision in allowing the police to do their job.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
To begin with, you know, I don't know.
Now you call in a DOJ in advance to cover your rear end for having a shoddy operation in the first place.
Yeah, it's just in addition to that sort of playground politics of where one kid gets accused and he says, well, I didn't do it.
Look what he did.
You know, that's all they're going to do is just.
Well, look, you could have a point.
You may be 100% right, but I'm telling you this.
Do not.
I don't care that this woman is the mayor.
Do not.
Because as far as all of these Democrat politicians are concerned, Washington is where the action is.
And make no mistake.
Everything you say could be right.
She could be deflecting and diverting and all that for the disaster that's yet to come.
But make no mistake about the fact that there is a desire to weaken this police department, even though they run it.
Because it's part of the ideology that police departments are evil and rotten to the core, even the ones they run.
Liberals are liberals first.
An individual agenda or items within liberalism are second.
And if the call has gone out that we're going to reform police departments, we're going to weaken police departments because our president says police departments are the problem, then a loyal Democrat mayor is going to fall in line.
So it could be a little bit of both.
And people, I understand you have a reaction.
Why would a mayor want to weaken her own police department?
Rush, do you realize what you're saying?
Why would a mayor, as mayor of Baltimore, why would she purposely want to give over control of her police department to DOJ?
Liberals are liberals first.
The agenda is crafted from on high.
And right now, the liberal agenda coming from the Obama administration is police departments suck.
Police departments are the focus of evil.
Police departments are why the criminal justice system is unjust to our people.
And we're going to de-emphasize them.
But she's got a city to run.
She needs a police department to keep working.
No, no, no.
The police department is why there is disorder.
This is what they think.
So it may be a little bit of both here.
Anyway, Bruce, great call.
I'm glad you waited.
I really appreciate that.
I got an email from a friend, and this is a good point.
Hillary says she'd do anything possible under the law to grant people citizenship.
Since only Congress can legally grant people citizenship, what on earth could she, as president, do under the law to grant full citizenship to illegals?
You know, when you get down to even Obama is not claiming to grant them citizenship, he's just going to grant them amnesty and get the process started.
He's doing everything he can to set in motion for the courts to pressure Congress to do it, which is what all these guys talking amnesty are doing.
Not just Obama, but Jeb and whoever else is doing it.
But Hillary's out there claiming she's going to do it.
Under the law, she's going to grant them citizenship, and she doesn't have the power.
Only Congress can do it.
And it's important to understand.
Obama is not promising with his amnesty to make them citizens.
He's not even reaching that far.
The woman doesn't know what she's talking about, folks.
Do not doubt me.
She really is.
She's not competent.
She's over, whatever.
Joey in South Austin, Texas.
Hi, sir.
Great to have you here.
Hello, can you hear me well?
Yeah, I hear you just fine, Joey.
You hear me?
I can't hear you.
Good.
It's an honor to speak to you, and I want to say a quick thank you to you and Catherine and your staff.
Last night called, you offered to send us one of your books, and I was really grateful that we received it right away and was really taken aback by the extras that came along with it.
Thank you very much.
I'm glad that you got it all, Joey.
Now that I've taken that rare opportunity, let me get to my point.
I see that, you know, one of the big goals of the left is to consolidate power at the federal level and especially at the judiciary because that's where they have the most long-term operatives and it just fits with what they want to do.
I see this announcement by this DA in Baltimore, the charges being so messy and poor, although maybe she didn't realize it was intentional, it's a way they want this case to implode in order to create more disappointment, more disruption, and they would like nothing more than to see these charges dropped by a jury and then incriminate the local jury system so that the federal judiciary has to take over these cases from now on.
Well, you know, I can see where you might think that, but this woman has got more ambition than to be known as somebody who screwed it up.
Because that's no matter if the thing gets blown sky high and the reaction is, or the answer is to attack the jury system because the criminal justice system is biased against whatever, she's still going to be in, she's going to end up looking like overmatched and a fool and an idiot.
That's what's eventually going to, this is going to change before it gets to that point because this woman's got ambition way beyond Baltimore DA.
Make no mistake about that.
And her ambition is not going to be furthered if this thing, if she gets smoked on it.
Now, you might make the case that she could benefit from that if she can claim that she was in the right and somehow the system, but they run the system is the problem.
They're going to be in the jury.
I mean, they run all of this.
It's not, you know, a bunch of Republicans that they're up against here.
So it's an interesting thought.
I love the way people think.
I love hearing the thought processes that people have because it juices my own even.
So, Joey, I appreciate the call very much.
I'll tell you, these equipment managers at the New England Patriots, one of them really does not like Tom Brady.
Wait till you read these text messages in this investigation report.
We'll see you tomorrow, folks.
Export Selection
