Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 Podcast.
I'd say, folks, I think it's great.
No matter where you go in the drive-by media now, you know what?
They're all Sammy C and N. I mean, they're acting like excited as they would be as if they found the airplane.
Everybody's talking about how the drive-by media did not report any of the Gruber tapes for all those days.
They've all just stumbled across that.
Isn't that interesting how that happens?
Anyway, ladies and gentlemen, wrapping up a busy broadcast week here on the EIB network.
Live from the Southern Command in Sunny South Florida.
It's open line Friday.
Yes, sir, open line Friday, where I, your lovable broadcast host, your highly trained broadcast specialist.
Take one of the most acknowledged career risks.
Taken by anybody in major big time media.
And that is turning over the content portion of the program to people that are not trained broadcast specialists.
Open Light Friday means whatever you want to talk about, folks.
Have at it.
Telephone number 800-282-2882.
Any email address, L Rushbow at EIVNet.com.
There's another Gruber tape.
And that only is there another Gruber tape, there is now evidence from no less than PBS frontline that Gruber discussed the Cadillac tax scam with Obama in the oval orifice.
So we have we have Pelosi out there saying, I don't know.
I never heard of this guy.
I don't know who he is, but I know he's changing his mind about this.
He said this stuff a year ago.
And now we found that Gruber explained the Cadillacs Axe and was giving Ted Kennedy all kinds of credit for another scam.
Uh how to get the feds to end how to get the states to end up paying federal benefits.
It just keeps coming.
And now you know what it's time for?
Now it's time for the Obama playbook to kick in with the limbaugh theorem.
He is angry.
This is the next predictable phase has happened.
The White House, this is I've got this is the weekly standard.
The White House is incensed, mad enough to spit, angry as a mashed cat at Jonathan Gruber for saying that the Affordable Care Act had to be sold to the stupid electorate by deceptive means.
Right on schedule, right out of the Democrat playbook or the Obama playbook, now at this point in the crisis, Obama must declare that he is just mad and upset as anybody else is.
And he didn't know about any of this.
He saw it in the news like everybody else did, and he's outraged.
He is fit to be tied.
And that is exactly what's happening.
And this, ladies and gentlemen, is on schedule, the Limbaugh Theorem.
The limbaugh theorem, again, just to review briefly explains how, year after year, for a total of six years, that Obama was never held accountable for any of the mess that he created.
Every one of his policies implemented has been destructive to the country, and yet, as far as the drive-by voters were concerned, and the low information voters were concerned, they didn't blame him.
And the reason they didn't blame him is because he made it appear that he was never governing.
He was always outside Washington.
He was always doing campaign appearances, and he is railing about how bad the job market is.
And he's blaming all these powerful forces that are opposing him everywhere.
And he's working really hard, and usually are the Republicans.
So right on schedule.
Mad enough to spit.
They're angry as hell at what Jonathan Gruber did, as though they had no idea.
He just found out reading the news.
So man, they're fit to be tied.
Obama's demanding scalps.
Well, heads, scalps, redskins, can't have that.
Right on schedule.
I just I just love this.
I love being able to predict these people.
I love being when they do things.
I love being able to come to you and say, see, see, told you, told you this is how they operate, and once again, Obama true to form, acting like he had no idea, and everybody in the regime, Josh Ernest, the White House pressed no idea.
Who this Gruber guy is embarrassed, this is angry, is unacceptable.
This didn't happen.
This is outrageous.
We don't know who this guy is.
We don't know what he's talking about, but it doesn't represent us.
When in fact Gruber was only doing Obama's bidding from the get-go.
All of this is Obama.
It's called Obamacare.
Every aspect of this is Obama.
Obama signs off on it.
Obama wrote it.
Obama approved it.
But today Obama's acting like he had no idea that this was going on.
It seems that once Obamacare was passed and signed into law, Mr. Gruber couldn't stop talking about how his team had put one over on everybody.
I mean, sounding like a flyn plan.
He's not like an average con man, like a carnival barker.
He's out there bragging how they got this past everybody by lying and treating them like they're stupid.
And the videos of him preening around have now come to the attention of even the Washington Post.
And now since it's hit the drive-by media, the White House is embarrassed.
Since it's at the drive-by media, the White House and Obama go out and say, What?
What is this?
Who is this guy?
He did what?
That's unacceptable.
We paid him for this.
And now Obama's going to be running around taking names and is going to want to know who it is that hired this guy, if anybody did.
He's going to ask for an investigation to find out how this guy knows what he knows.
What did he really have to do with Obamacare?
And did he really do this?
And if he did, we got to do something about it.
And there, oh, there's another phase to this.
After you do that, then you blame the Republicans for all of it.
And that has happened too.
Josh Ernest reported.
Well, I'll show you.
I'll show you how the Republicans can be blamed.
Right here at the Hill.com.
Josh Ernest said that he too is angry.
He doesn't understand who this Gruber guy is and what this is all about.
He said he would disagree vigorously with Mr. Gruber's assessment.
And then he said it's the Republicans who have been less than honest and transparent about what their proposed changes to Obamacare would do.
So here's Obama who's changed this law minimum 30 times, and Congress didn't say a freaking word.
And I'm sorry talking about impeachment doesn't cut any slack now.
When you let the guy change his own law 30 times unconstitutionally, and you kind of blow it.
And so here's Obama has done that in any number of other affronts and assaults to the Constitution.
And here comes Josh Ernest, the White House press secretary.
You know, this Gruber guy, what he did is outrageous, and we're mad as hell up here at the White House.
But let me just tell you this.
It's the Republicans who have been less than honest and less than transparent about what their proposed changes to Obamacare would do.
Right?
So what it was it was Boehner and McConnell who promised everybody that they could keep their doctor if they liked their doctor, and it was Boehner and McConnell who promised that if you like your plan, you keep your plan.
And it was Boehner and McConnell who lied about everybody's premiums coming down $2,500, and it was Boehner and McConnell who lied about all of the out-of-pocket expenses, such as the deductibles, all that going down to that the Republicans told those lies.
The Republicans have been less than honest about what they are going to do with Obama.
They don't have a, they don't have it, they don't own a syllable of Obamacare.
The Republicans do not own one word of Obamacare.
Josh Ernest runner guys that are really being dishonest to the Republicans and telling everybody what they would do, what their proposed changes are.
And so they're the guys that's not coming forward here.
We've been transparent.
We know who this Gruber guy is, and we're just as mad at him as everybody.
it's just right on schedule.
Now I had somebody, a lot of people, and I'm I'm glad for this because I thought we covered it yesterday in a in an understandable way, but a lot of emails for people who want his Cadillac tax scam explained.
And I don't mind going through this again because it is really crucial that you understand this.
Gruber said among many, and we've got audio supporting all this coming up here, and including the new Gruber video, fourth one, fifth one now, about Ted Kennedy ripping off the federal government to the tune of 400 million dollars a year.
Ted Kennedy was in on the scam, and Gruber was proud of it and uh was out telling everybody what a great guy Ted Kennedy was for helping come up with a way to scam the federal government of Obamacare.
But the Cadillac tax.
Uh here's what Gruber said in one of the videos to one of his audiences.
He said once again that ultimately, the Cadillac tax, that ultimately became the genesis of what is called a Cadillac tax in the health care bill, which I think is one of the most important and bravest parts of the health care law and doesn't get nearly enough credit.
What was the Cadillac tax?
It was nothing more than a trick.
It was designed to trick consumers and policyholders into blaming their insurance companies for tax-induced premium increases.
And that's what Gruber here is describing as brave.
They raised taxes on these Cadillac plans, the most expensive plans.
They they taxed the insurance companies 40%.
And that was the trick.
They made consumers believe that the tax was going to be paid by the insurance companies who the people hated already.
And so therefore the people supported it because this was an evil big insurance industry getting sucked.
The old class envy, class warfare scheme.
So they trick policyholders, people that have health insurance plans into blaming the insurance companies for that 40% tax increase.
So they turned an innocent victim, the insurance companies, they were sitting there minding their own business, and one day there was a mandate that came from Washington, and that mandate was there's going to be a 40% tax on health insurance plans over and above a certain amount of money, the Cadillac plans.
The government mandated that tax increase on the insurance company.
The insurance company has been passed the tax cut or the tax increase along in the form of higher prices.
It was the regime that ultimately caused everybody's prices to skyrocket.
The trick was blaming the insurance companies for it.
And in this case, the insurance companies were the innocent victim.
They were turned into a villain in order to distract everybody from the government scheme to fund an affordable lie.
And that's what that's what Gruber is calling brave.
The trick they played to convince you that the insurance companies were screwing you and not the regime.
Only a con man would call this brave.
And only a fraudulent media would excuse or ignore it.
The fifth Gruber video, which has emerged, and again found by an average citizen, not the drive-by media.
They still have to be dragged kicking and screaming to this.
A video from Vermont shows Jonathan Gruber mocking a Vermont citizen who expressed concern about single-payer health care.
It's a 2011 video shot by TrueNorthReports.com and was released yesterday.
And in it, Gruber appears before the Vermont House Healthcare.
This guy was everywhere selling this.
And Pelosi says you never heard of him.
And Obama said you know who he is.
The guy was everywhere.
He was the golden boy.
He was the architect.
At one point, they loved this guy.
He was the guy that enabled this scam to become law.
And in this instance, he's at the Vermont House Health Care Committee to present recommendations for a universal publicly financed health care program.
The recommend recommendations were part of a report submitted to the legislature by an economist up there and co-written by Gruber.
And as Gruber is sitting there listening, the committee chairman reads a comment from a citizen in Vermont who expresses concern that Gruber's plan might lead to ballooning costs, higher taxes, and bureaucratic outrages.
After hearing this note, the chairman of the committee read this letter from an average Vermont citizen expressing concerns about Gruber's plan.
After hearing it, Gruber said, was this written by my adolescent children by any chance?
And the remark was met with uproarious laughter.
So you have a legitimate citizenhood nailed it.
He's listening to all this.
And wait a minute, isn't this going to cause costs to just skyrocket taxes to go up?
Isn't this going to just cause massive bureaucratic nightmares?
And Gruber said, Mr. Chairman, was this written by my adolescent children by any chance?
Mocking average people, mocking citizens.
That's who Gruber and his elitists are.
This video is the fifth in a string of videos to surface this week in which Jonathan Gruber, MIT, publicly mocks citizens or brags about his use of deception in crafting health care policies.
Being paid, by the way, $400,000 by the state of Vermont to advise the governor there on how to finance Vermont's single-player, single-payer health care law.
This back in 2011, so three years ago.
That's not inclusive of what the feds were paying it, which is into the millions now.
So let me take a break, we'll come back, we'll get to the audio on all of this because it's like the cherry on top of the silken swirl that sits atop everything else.
So you sit tight, my friends, and open line Friday rolls right on, right after this.
Joe Biden says that uh we're gonna just dispense with the train trips for the minor illegal children, unaccompanied minors from El Salvador from Guatemala.
We're just gonna fly them in now.
Not kidding you, I had the audio soundbite coming up.
The regime is going to simply cut out that long, dangerous trip on the trains and just begin flying these kids in now.
Because that's much safer.
And it's much more direct, and it accomplishes the objective much sooner.
Mitch McConnell has ruled out a government shutdown to block Obama immigration moves.
Speaker Boehner said Thursday Republicans could use a spending bill to block Obama's planned executive action to grant amnesty.
Mitch McConnell ruled out a government shutdown over it, canceling the one major piece of leverage the GOP has in the fight.
In the real world, all it means.
That's not the right way to say it.
What it means is that all Obama has to do is threaten a government shutdown, and apparently the Senate will cave on anything Obama wants.
They can't shut down the government.
Nope, can't shut because the people will hate them.
The people that just elected them in droves will hate them.
Yeah, because you know why?
Because the people that just Elected them, want them to cooperate with the Democrats.
The people that just elect, this is what the Senate believes, that the people that just elected Republicans want them to work together with the Democrats.
Boehner, to his credit, is out saying that they're going to do, he's saying that they're going to do everything they can to stop Obama's executive order on immigration.
That is what they were elected to do.
They were not elected to compromise.
They were not elected to get.
I'll tell you, this we talked yesterday about the old rules of politics and how they're out the door.
Apparently, the Senate has not modernized.
The Senate still believes they were sent there to work together to compromise and to uh to govern and and and and to uh uh work with the other side because that's what the American people want.
And uh Obama's got attacked to the center.
This is what losing elections mean and all that pragmatism is a new word being described, used to describe them.
It's ladies and gentlemen, it seems to me that a year ago, when we get to December, there was a so-called government shutdown.
And I remember it vividly.
Democrats and the media were running around and they were tarring and feathering the Republicans.
What an insensitive bunch of brutes.
What a bunch of anti-poor people, what a bunch of anti-women with the shut the government down.
The one thing that keeps people, the New York Times was running articles asking people to send in their hard luck stories.
How has the government shutdown destroyed your life?
And Ted Cruz was getting blamed for it.
Remember all that?
And apparently it was so bad.
The media cover was so bad that Mitch McConnell and the Senate Democrat Republicans do not want to revisit.
No way.
No how?
We're not gonna go there again.
Look at how that hurt us.
And that's when you stop and say, hurt you?
Who just won in a land slide election?
If I'm not mistaken, it was the Republicans.
Those evil SOBs that shut down the government last December.
They even called it the Ted Cruz shutdown.
Remember this?
The Republicans themselves are running around complaining and moaning about Ted Cruz and the media was dumping all over Ted Cruz and this is a shutdown, it was horrible.
And we're never gonna do that again.
The media hates us when we destroy us.
And yet, despite having shut down the government, it wasn't even a shutdown.
That's it, that's another thing.
How is refusing to fund Obama's unconstitutionality a shutdown of the government?
What's worse?
In the minds of the people who participated in this last election, what do you think is worse?
Obama mocking the Constitution and transforming this country into something that was never intended to be, or the Republicans taking the money away from him, so he can't do it.
To listen to the Senate Republicans, you would think the people, oh no, no, no.
If it's a government shutdown or Obama transforming the country, let him transform the country.
We do not want to suffer the humiliation and immediate criticism ever again of shutting down the government.
Well, okay, fine.
But if you're going to tell everybody up front that you're not going to defund Obamacare bit by bit.
If you're not going to defund the areas of amnesty, immigration reform to stop him from doing it, because people are going to call that a government shutdown, then you're basically telling Obama he's got a free road.
He's not going to be stopped on anything.
If they can call refusing to fund Obama's unconstitutional power grabs, shutting down the government, it damn well needs to be shut down if that's what it takes.
The president of the United States is mocking the Constitution.
In the process, he's transforming this country and changing it into something it was never intended to be and destroying.
A lot of hope and opportunity for Americans who live in this country and were born in this country.
This is outrageous.
And if if stopping that is called a government shutdown, then it seems To me, that's exactly what's called for.
But no, there's so much fear over what the media would say.
Look at how bad it was last December.
Right.
If people really remember, I guess, I guess a lot of people went to the polls on uh Tuesday, November 4th.
And I guess even a lot more people would have voted Republican than did if it wouldn't have been for the shutdown.
Why they might have might have gained control the whole Senate if they hadn't shut down the government, right?
No, it does tick me off.
I don't, I don't get this this use of terms anyway.
Okay, so Obama wants to do some unconstitutional things on Obamacare and Amnesty.
The only recourse the Congress has is the power of the purse to pass legislation that does not grant him the money to do it.
And then all of a sudden, that's called shutting down the government.
So destroying the Constitution or shutting down the government.
We're going to put those two things on the scales, and we're going to figure that the American people would rather have the Constitution destroyed and transformed instead of the government shutdown.
Yeah, they might even call him racist, too.
That would be really, really bad.
Racists shutting down the, oh, yeah, we can't have that.
We can't put up with that.
I don't know.
This just so they've taken impeachment off the table, and they've taken this so-called government.
I can't they just stand up and say it's not shutting down the government, it's saving the government, it's protecting this country as the way it was founded.
Why can't somebody just stand up and say what's really going on here?
All right, let's hit the audio sound bites.
We'll get to your phone calls.
But I I wanted to get that in.
Immigration, I think is every bit as important as Obamacare stuff is.
As I said yesterday, the thing about amnesty, it's not reversible.
Obamacare, elements of it still are.
But once you announce that illegals are all of a sudden able to permanently stay here, you...
I don't know how you reversed that.
And particularly all this is a Democrat voter registration drive.
And the republicans on their side, too.
Don't forget, the Chamber of Commerce is lurking out there wanting all kinds of cheap labor.
But I wanted to get that mentioned, lest any of you thought that it had escaped my notice today.
Believe me, it hasn't.
January 18th, 2012, coming up on three years ago.
False Church, Virginia at the noblest innovation and collaboration center, MIT economics professor Jonathan Gruber, spoke about the Obamacare Health Exchanges.
The dirty secret in Massachusetts is the feds pay for our bill.
Okay.
In Massachusetts, we had a very powerful senator he may know named Ted Kennedy.
Ted Kennedy had basically figured out Ted Kennedy and Smart People Massachusetts had basically figured out a way to sort of rip off the feds for about 400 million dollars a year.
Right on!
Let's applaud that!
Let's applaud Ted Kennedy figured out a way to rip off the feds for 400 million a year.
Who's he ripping off?
He's not ripping off the feds, he's ripping us off.
You know, this Gruber guy, you know this Gruber guy is his pajama boy.
The Obama pajama boy in those ads that they ran back this past summer.
Does this guy sound like he needs Ritalin or whatever they give ADD people?
Yeah, they're dirty seat on Massachusetts for Feds' PR bill.
Okay, okay.
In Massachusetts, we had a very powerful senator.
You mean all Ted Kennedy?
Yeah, yeah.
Ted Kennedy, Ted Kennedy basically figured out Ted Kennedy and smart people in Massachusetts, basically figured out a way to sort of rip off the feds for a 400 million years.
Yeah.
It's the architect of Obamacare.
And he's out bragging.
And so, right on schedule, here comes Obama saying, I am outraged.
I had no idea this man was.
I don't know what he's saying.
Uh he's certainly not speaking for me.
And uh, I think all this has been brought about cause of Republicans.
This will refuse to be honest about what their intentions are.
So the Republicans create a vacuum, Gruber surfaces, and somehow it's all the Republicans' fault, and Obama had no idea any of this is going on.
And that's how this is playing out today.
Ted Kennedy, smart people in Massachusetts had basically figured out a way to sort of rip off the feds for about 400 million dollars.
What he's saying here is Romney, you still don't Romney care.
And he's saying that the only way they were able to make Romney care in any way appear like it made the economic sense was to trick, quote unquote, trick the federal government into actually paying for $400 million of it.
And this is supposed to be something we're to applaud.
He's getting applause when he runs around brags about this stuff to all these different groups of Democrats and unions and fellow economists.
We now have Gruber directly linking Obama to this and it is important for you to remember that Obama and the official word out of the White House is they had no idea this was going on.
That's the news story today.
The news story today is that Obama is livid he is kicked off.
Nobody told him about this.
He doesn't understand how this all got going.
They had nothing to do with it.
The White House is incense.
They're mad enough to spit as this Gruber guy is running around saying that the Affordable Care Act had to be sold via conman scam to a stupid electorate by deceptive means and the regime is saying we didn't know about this.
I don't know who this guy was and Pelosi saying I never heard of this guy.
But there is video and audio of Gruber admitting Obama was in the room when the Cadillac tax scam and lie was created and White House logs have confirmed it.
You'll hear it when we get back by your telephone calls are coming up we're going to get to them in the first hour but first off June 13th 2012 on a PBS show called Frontline the producer Michael Kirk interviewed Jonathan Gruber,
MIT economics professor and con man extraordinaire a man who has never worked a day outside of a university or academic setting.
He has never held a job in the free market economy.
The producer for Frontlines said you first met Barack Obama in 2006.
The second time you met Barack Obama was after he was president and you were working to adapt Romney care into Obamacare.
He wants you to work on cost control.
Obama does tell me about your conversations and your meetings with Barack Obama.
The problem is it's a political nightmare and people say no you can't tax my benefits.
So what we did a lot in that room was think about well how could talk about well how could we make this work and Obama's like well you know I mean he's really a realistic guy is like look I can't just do this.
He said it's just not going to happen politically the bill will not pass.
How do we manage to get there through phases and other things and we talked about it and he was just very interested in that topic.
And once again that ultimately came the genesis of what's called the Cadillac tax in the health care bill.
And here it is again rearing its ugly head.
So here is Gruber admitting that Obama was present during a conversation about the formulation of the Cadillac taxillac tax was a primary funding mechanism of Obamacare that once again was a scam.
And the way it works is very simple.
They claimed that they were going to tax the insurance companies who provided these Cadillac plans.
And by the way, a very important aspect of this, many Cadillac plans were for union people.
A lot of the – this is fundamental, folks.
It's a lot to remember here.
many policyholders of Cadillac plans were union people as allies of Obama and the Democrats they got the best of everything.
They got Cadillac plans, meaning the most expensive and therefore the best and broadest coverage with the lowest premiums.
But the regime knew what Gruber's talking about Obama, I can't pass this.
We can't have the rich seeming to profit off it.
We can't have the rich seeming to get a better deal.
So they came up with Cadillac tax.
The Cadillac tax was a trick.
It was a publicly announced 40% tax on the insurance companies providing these Cadillac plans.
And thereby the regime was able to show the little guy that they're socking it to these people who had plans that you couldn't afford.
Okay, so we're gonna tax them, but we're gonna make the insurance companies pay for it.
Knowing all the while that the insurance companies were not gonna pay for it, they were going to pass that new cost on them on to every other customer, meaning everybody's health care expenses were going to go up while the regime was telling everybody that the insurance companies were going to be paying these new expenses.
The insurance company is going to be paying this tax.
This is a primary funding mechanism of Obamacare, and we're gonna sock it to the insurance companies because they've been screwing people forever, and this is how we're gonna get even with them.
This is how it was sold.
And Gruber has been applauding himself in all these videos for the cleverness of the scam.
And the scam very simply was tricking policyholders into blaming their insurance companies for all of their premium increases.
Groover called this, or Gruber called this brave, by the way, which was nothing more than turning an innocent victim here, the insurance companies, into the villain in order to distract from what the government was really doing, and that was scheming to find a way for everybody's premiums to go up in order to pay for this.
And what this audio sound bite is about from 2012 is Gruber saying Obama was there in the room when the whole plan was hatched.
Keep in mind the regime's line today is their outrage.
They can't believe what this Gruber guy's saying, they had no idea, they don't know what he's talking about, they don't think the American people are stupid.
There wasn't any lying.
There wasn't anything that would that was dishonest about this, and who is this guy?
And besides all that, the Republicans, if anybody's to blame, it's them.
Because they won't be honest and transparent of what their alternate plans are.
So that's why we're in a state of disarray.
And it's right on schedule.
Limbaugh Theorem, Obama mad as hell.
Somebody told him what Gruber's out there saying.
Gruber inadvertently admitting Obama was right there when the whole scheme was hatched.
And Gruber bragging about being with Obama and praising Obama's brilliance and praising Obama's political acumen and knowing it wouldn't work the way it was divided.
They had to come up with the Cadillac tax scheme.
One thing that we've learned, this Gruber guy, and that means a whole lot of other people are really proud of this.
This Cadillac tax, apparently, this whole Cadillac tax scheme, they think is the big deal that made all this possible.
Bear in mind, I want to say again, a lot of union members have Cadillac plans.
That's one of the few advantages of being in a union.
So Obama and Gruber were punishing the unions and lying to them at the same time.
They're lying to everybody else.
The unions were the major supporters of Obamacare.
You weren't told that most union members have Cadillac plans.
They couldn't afford that because the Cadillac plans and the Wall Street guys had Cadillac plans and the Warren Buffett to the world in the building.
They have Cadillac plans, and they don't need it.
They can afford it.
They don't need help.
They don't need all.
So we're going to soak it to them.
And we're going to, and that did happen, but the soaking got redirected on everybody else.
And of course it was with Obama's full knowledge.
But he doesn't even have what even a courage to own up to it.
Now he's disowning his own architect.
And another guy twisting in the wind.
Well, I kind of blew it, and I'm really sorry.
I intended to get phone calls in in this hour.
So I gotta make it up to you.
How am I gonna do that?
I guess I'll just have to take two calls in the first hour next Friday.
Or maybe something else if I come up with a way to make up for it.
Because I really intended to get, I just I get on these rolls for it, and I don't know where the time goes.
