Time Text
Where they have my brain tied behind my back.
Rush Limboy and the Limboy Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies doing broadcast excellence on Friday.
Live from the Southern Command in sunny South Florida.
It's open line Friday.
Yes, sir, revob open line Friday, this way you get to answer or ask whatever you want.
Call about whatever you want.
That's the best way to explain open line Friday.
Monday through Thursday, you have to.
You have to want to talk about things that I'm talking about or am interested in.
Otherwise, you don't make it.
On Friday, it doesn't have to be the case.
800 28282 is the number.
The email address, L Rushbow at EIBNet.com.
A federal judge, actually not two federal judges.
Let's just stick with the Fox News story here first.
A federal judge has ordered the IRS to explain under oath how the agency lost a trove of emails from the official at the heart of the tea parting scandal.
Tea Party scandal.
U.S. District Judge Emmett Sullivan, who, from what I understand, is a no nonsense judge, has been involved in plenty of uh federal overreach cover-up scandal type things, and does not take any BS.
U.S. District Judge Emmett Sullivan.
There are actually three federal judges on this case now in different ways.
One of them is uh Royce Lambert, the other is uh Reggie Walton, and now Emmett Sullivan.
Now, Judge Sullivan gave the IRS 30 days to file a declaration by an appropriate official to address the computer issues with Lois Lerner.
Now, you might say, well, what's the big deal under oath?
And I understand that.
Uh, I'm not sure why an Obama administration official would have any more qualms about lying under oath to a federal judge than lying under oath to Congress.
But it's worth a shot because I think this judge, and I hope I I hope this is borne out.
Uh there's no really way to predict this, but based on this judge's existence, no nonsense guy.
And that's why this is worth a shot.
Uh and if you notice none of the information about these Obama scandals is coming from investigations made by the media.
This is all coming from judicial watch and uh truth of the vote.
This is all coming from Freedom of Information Act requests or other investigations, but the st the drive-by-the state control media is doing nothing.
They're barely reporting on this, then they certainly are investigating absolutely none of it.
And I keep hearing, and maybe you've heard this too.
I keep hearing that the media is souring on Obama.
That the media is disappointed.
I think I mentioned this to you yesterday, the day before, that I'm hearing from a lot of people that the media is just disappointed as they can be.
They bought the entire Messiah thing in 2000.
They drank the Kool-Aid, they really believe, and they're totally invested in it.
And as such, they will never lead the criticism.
But they feel it, they feel dejected, they feel let down, they feel disappointed.
Uh, in addition to that, everything they believe in isn't working again.
And if you look around the country, no matter where you find liberals and leftists, they are constantly outraged.
They're never happy, they're always angry, and one of the reasons they're angry is the stuff they fervently believe in.
I mean, they really think that Obama's economic policies should have resulted in the poor all of a sudden becoming middle class, the middle class becoming wealthy, and the rich becoming poor.
No, no, no, I'm I'm I'm not really exaggerating.
That is what they think and thought Obama was gonna do.
And that's what they wanted Obama to do.
They wanted Obama literally to take money away from the people who have it and give it a people it didn't.
Well, he hasn't done it enough.
He hasn't done it enough to raise people out of poverty, or more people in poverty today than when he took office is the point.
He hasn't taken people in poverty and put them in the middle class.
He's taken money away from the rich to an extent, but the money stays in government because spent here or spent there, but people's lives are not improved.
Global warming hasn't been fixed.
Al Qaeda has not gone to bed.
Our enemies haven't surrendered.
The globe is still warming, and the planet is still being destroyed by claimage, and not everything they thought this guy was going to fix.
But not only that, particularly the case of the media, they thought he was going to be universally loved, adored, as something genuinely new and unseen before.
Anyway, the short version of this is that while they are, and this is what I'm hearing, I don't know if it's true or not.
I'm just what I'm hearing, but they're just dejected and saddened and depressed, but they are never going to turn for a host of reasons.
A, they're too invested in this.
I mean, to turn they'd have to turn on themselves to.
And then there's the racial component, first black president.
They're never going to do anything but circle the wagons and protect that.
So all of this that we're learning about, say this IRS day, this is coming from special interest groups like Judicial Watch, Landmark Legal Foundation, uh true the vote.
Some of the victims of this abuse are producing information that helps people get to the bottom and understand it.
For example, the decision from Judge Sullivan, who gave the IRS 30 days to file a declaration by an appropriate official to address the computer issues of Lois Lerner under oath.
That decision came yesterday as part of a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit by Judicial Watch.
And along with some Republican congressmen on Capitol Hill has questioned how the IRS lost the emails and in some cases had no apparent way to retrieve them.
But see, Lois Lerner stepped in it.
Lois learned twice.
Her lawyer admitted she kept some.
Wait just a minute now.
How did she keep some if everything on the server was destroyed seven times?
And then Lois Lerner revealed something nobody knew existed.
An internal instant messaging system within the IRS, above and beyond and totally separate from the office email system.
And it was in the instant message chats back and forth that Lois Lerner was advising people to be very careful where they put an email because this stuff could someday be produced, and we didn't want to be anything embarrassing in there.
So none of this information on these Obama scandals is coming from investigations by the news media.
News media busily trying to protect the regime.
Everything we know about these Obama scandals has come from either the Republicans in the House or conservative groups, which it just by itself is another indictment of the drive-by media.
Now, ladies and gentlemen, how many of you either believe or have heard some Republicans, Democrats say that what we just, you know, we need to show the people of this country that we're not racists.
And we need to show them that we're not bigots.
So we we need to cross the aisle, and we need to work with Democrats, such as on immigration reform.
We need to show that we're not anti-Hispanic, and we need to show that we're not anti-gay or gay marriage.
We we need to make an effort here to cross the aisle.
We need to go in these places and we need to show them that we are not who we say they are.
How many of you have heard that?
And maybe how many of you believe it?
The other day it was revealed that the Koch brothers donated $25 million to the United Negro College Fund.
The United Negro College Fund happily accepted the donation.
This did not sit well with the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees Union.
That union sent a letter to Michael Lomack, the president of the United Negro College Fund, that the Union would be ending its partnership with the United Negro College Fund in September because the United Negro College Fund accepted the $25 million donation from the Koch Brothers.
Like many supporters of the United Negro College Fund, I was deeply troubled by your decision to accept $25 million from David and Charles Koch wrote a guy named Saunders, who is the president of the union, head honcho of the union.
I was truly stunned to learn that less than two weeks later, you attended and spoke at a Koch Brothers summit in California.
So remember when the Koch brothers, I think it was it was David Koch in this case, gave $25 million to a New York City hospital, and the union representing the nurses that work there and a number of other people protested it.
And what did they say?
They said, we can't accept this money.
This is these are just a bunch of racists and bigots, and then they're anti-Obamacare and they're anti-health care, and they're just giving this money to try to cover up who they really are.
And we should not let them get away with this trickery.
We want the hospital to give the money back because these are not nice people, and we don't want their $25 million to fool people into thinking they are.
So these are people that will cut off their nose to spite their face, so to speak.
These are people with whom you cannot reach across the aisle.
These are people with whom there is no compromise.
These are lunatics.
People are genuinely insane.
And by the way, if if the American Federation of State County Municipal Employees is so devoted to the struggle of African Americans, why in the world would they so easily abandon the United Negro College Fund simply because they accepted $25 million from the Koch brothers?
They must not care all that much about the struggle of African Americans if that's all it takes.
You would think that they would abandon their support of the United Negro College Fund if they didn't take the money.
But here's the thing.
So here you...
I know, here you here you have a union treating the United Negro College Fund as though the union runs the plantation.
And the United Negro College Fund, they're the slaves, and they better do what the master says, or they're going to be turned out.
Now, on this scale, who's really the bad guy here?
The attempt to portray the Koch brothers as a bunch of phony, evil, mean people because they gave $25 million to cover up their hatred.
Does that make any sense at all?
Well, it does to leftists.
So my question, what is there to be gained by by reaching out and trying to form some kind of relationship based on cooperation with people like this?
It simply isn't possible.
It's a waste of time.
These people are not meant to be cooperated with.
They are meant to be overcome.
They're meant to be defeated in the political sense.
Lee Saunders is the president of the American Federation of State County Municipal Employees.
And right here is this a Daily Caller, heads turned when the United Negro College Fund announced the donation.
The Koch Brothers didn't even announce it.
The Koch brothers gave the money under the table, under the cover of darkness.
They didn't do it with a bunch of fanfare.
And yet the Koch brothers give this money to cover up their real hatred.
That's the theory.
It was the United Negro College Fund that announced that they had been the recipients.
They were the recipients of this donation.
Most of it, by the way, 18 and a half million dollars is to go towards a scholarship fund.
Education, United Negro College Fund.
So 18 and a half million dollars is going to scholarship programs for needy African Americans.
And here's the union opposing it.
It's real simple.
You say thank you.
It's no more complicated than that.
You simply say thank you.
United Negro College Fund did.
And they're in trouble for that.
They're in trouble for accepting it.
They're in trouble for being nice to the Koch brothers.
They're in trouble for being appreciative, and they're in trouble for using the money.
What are they supposed to do?
Stay poor?
Are they not supposed to expand?
Are they not supposed to accept donations?
They're not supposed to grow their mission, or are they supposed to remain beholden to some union and rely on some union to protect them, defend them, and give them what they need.
Is that how it's supposed to work?
So I'm my only question is what is to be gained by reaching across the aisle with these people.
I ask this because the Republicans, the consultant class, the Republican establishment, they're hellbent on reaching across the aisle and making arrangements and deals with people like this so as to show people that they're not haters, that they're not bigots.
It's a it's an impossible mission to prove a negative.
They're not worth the time of day, is the point.
Back after this.
By the way, folks, I checked here during the break.
Do you know how much the Union that's upset with the United Negro College Fund for accepting the Koch brother donation?
The American Federation State County Municipal Employees.
They give the United Negro College Fund between 50,000 and $60,000 a year.
That is the extent of it.
They've given the Democrat Party over $60 million between 1990 and 2012.
$60 million to the Democrats in uh 22 years.
But $50 to $60,000 a year to the United Negro College Fund.
And act like it own them.
Act like they have the right to tell them what to do, what not to do, for 50 or 60 G's, and here come the Koch brothers with 25 million, and the union tells them to give it back.
Or else.
Here's uh here's Brian of Wichita, Kansas.
Hi, Brian.
Thank you for waiting.
You're next on the EIB network.
Hello.
Thanks, Rush.
Uh, home of the evil Koch Brothers.
What's your talk in?
Thank you very much, sir.
Hey, listen, I think we had this all along.
Uh I think this president is so inept, so incompetent.
He can't believe that he's pulled the wall over everybody's eyes this long.
I think his legacy is in place, and that legacy is simply the first black president.
So, what he wants to do, I think he's coasting for two and a half more years just to get the heck out of here.
These scandals are a pain in the butt for this guy.
He simply wants to get out there and talk about the speaker circuit.
He's gonna make Bill Clinton look like a piker.
He's already got He's posing for a statue on the mall.
And I think this guy, believe it or not, has a new goal.
He wants to be the first billionaire past president, is what I'm predicting.
Well, uh, I don't know about that, but I fervently disagree with you that he is coasting for these two and a half years.
I think his administration has just begun.
I think he intends to proceed at breakneck speed in implementing his agenda.
I also think that he's realized he cannot complete the job of transforming America by 2016.
So I think he's going to be very interested in who succeeds him.
And I think that's why he doesn't want it to be Hillary.
I think he's going, I don't, I think he fervently believes in this transformation.
I believe he thinks this, I believe he thinks his country is unjust and immoral and he's got to fix it.
I think he's oriented toward that.
Now you have an interesting theory about him being incompetent.
And I want to explore that when we get back.
You know, during Open Line Friday, I also check emails.
Sometimes I find gems in the email questions.
Dear Rush, what?
And since uh either yesterday or the day before, I've I've gotten a lot of emails from people who want me to explain my favorite feature in the iPhone software that Apple took out.
And I mentioned this the past couple of days.
I've been down in the dumps about it.
What is it?
What is this feature?
What did they take?
Folks, I think I'm one of five people in the country that cares about it.
So I I'd I'd be really reluctant to go into any detail with you about it.
And if I if I if I were to I know I know it's over my Friday.
If I were to explain this, I think is that it?
That gets you upset?
But it but but it's just I can't explain.
It's it's uh it's a it's a technological achievement that I am just dazzled by.
And I hope it gets put back when they issue the final release of this.
I hope they're just experimenting and playing and adjusting it.
Uh it's something I've been asking for ever since iOS 7 hit.
I mean, not I haven't asked anybody, it's something I've been hoping for.
Hoping that they would add.
And they did when I when I installed beta one, it was there.
I played around with it, and I didn't ever expect to see it.
It was there.
And then beta three came out Monday and it's gone.
But if I tell you what it is, I'll think about it, but I don't think you're not gonna care.
This is um just one of those things you're gonna have to trust me.
But I did there's another email that does relate to the last call we had.
Friend of mine.
He said, forgive me, but I'm gonna put my tinfoil hat on for a moment.
If you look at Obama's pattern over the last two and a half years, he has been a master of creating new crises just as a current one starts to gain traction.
The minute we start getting traction on a current crisis, bam, here comes a brand new one to distract us.
How can this happen time and time again?
So Rush, as a professional cynic.
I have to wonder if this is his and his team's panic strategy.
See, Rush, I think they're in over their heads.
I think they're so over their heads that they don't know what they're doing.
I think they have or are starting to realize that they are over their heads, but they don't know what to do.
My friend thinks that even the regime is discombobulated by how broken everything is, that they came into office thinking they were magic.
And that just because Obama was there, and just because Obama was doing it, everything was gonna magically fall into place and magically work, and none of it is, and my buddy thinks that they are lost.
He says they don't have the slightest idea.
And so doing the right thing never enters the thought process of these people when trying to correct something.
They are simply trying to figure out how to get through tomorrow or next week or November or the next election.
They don't have the slightest idea what they're doing, and they now know it.
And he says, Russia, I think it's starting to catch up with them.
Even Obama's loyal media lap dogs are embarrassed.
And I have heard that that is the case.
I've told you that a couple times, embarrassed, disappointed, surprised, flabbergasted.
Can't believe that it's this bad when they had so much hope invested.
But then my friend says this is where things may get interesting, and not in a good way, because we know this guy and his circle have no morals.
They have nothing but contempt for this country.
His strategy of creating diversionary crisis after crisis is starting to wear thin.
We now know all this has been done on purpose and by design.
What's he going to do next?
Could be scary.
But this is a bit contradictory.
On the one hand, uh it's out of control.
They're in way over their heads, they don't know what they're doing.
And then later on in the note, he says, we know they've done this on purpose.
I know it's contradictory, but the point here, there are some people who think both things, that they've tried to do all this on purpose because it hasn't worked.
They don't know what to do now.
This is the only answer they've got is what they're doing, and it doesn't work, and they're lost.
And so the only thing they can do is CYA every day.
And he thinks that we are more in more danger now than ever because this bunch knows no other way than their own, and now they know their own way is an absolute disaster.
They will never ever just say, let's do the right thing, because that never enters their worldview.
So now when they're in the CYA and let's protect ourselves, let's protect Obama, let's then good lord, what can possibly get, I mean, anything could happen with that scenario.
I find it fascinating, and I always have to learn what people are thinking.
Thought processes just fascinate me what people come up with and what it, you know, the uh things they use to form their conclusions, and so forth.
I don't think this is that complicated.
But uh just some people that no matter what happens, no matter I get and you know this as well as I do, no matter what, they are just never gonna believe that any president of the United States of America would intentionally do things that would harm the country.
People in this country have a reverence for the office.
The office holder is the automatic recipient of a lot of goodwill.
That's why it takes it took the media what, five years to take George Bush down in the upper 30s in the approval numbers.
It took a long time.
It took a constant drumbeat, a never-ending cacophony of criticism, books on how to assassinate Bush, all that stuff that you remember throwing to me.
It took them five years because there is this automatic goodwill associated with the office and whoever holds it.
Thank you.
See, it doesn't matter.
Whether they're in over their heads and totally incompetent or whether they're doing it by design or a combination of both, it's still happening, and it still has to be dealt with.
In my humble view.
Here is uh here's Gary Culver City, California.
You're next on the EIB network.
Hello.
Hey, good morning, Rosh.
Thank you so much for taking my call.
You bet, sir.
Thank you.
They truly are a national treasure.
Uh thank you so much.
So um I'm gonna Get right to it.
Um this morning I was looking at my local news before uh you came on, and I I heard the story, and I I didn't quite believe it.
And it said basically uh uh Vladimir Putin is quoted as supporting Israel defense of its citizens, and I went, really?
Um I went online I couldn't believe it.
So I'm I'm gonna read the two years.
How do you analyze that?
Russia said Thursday that he was closely following events in Israel, referring specifically to the protective edge campaign against rocket attacks originating in Gaza.
Putin told rabbis from Israel and Europe, I support Israel's struggle, which is intended to protect its citizens, unquote.
Where is Barry?
Well, now wait a minute.
Wait a second, before we get to Obama in in in that context, what do you think Putin is doing?
Oh, uh he's doing what he always does.
He's playing both sides.
Once again, there's a vacuum, right?
And what have you been teaching us for years?
You know, uh, when there's a vacuum, the bad guys are gonna come in.
I mean, I don't trust Putin as far as I can throw them on.
When is the last time you heard Putin or any Soviet Russian leader speak up for Israel?
Uh, I don't remember that.
Yeah, right.
Now, in what context did Putin do it?
Um he was speaking to a group of uh rabbis from Israel and from Europe.
Right, but the context on the Israel national news.
The context was they have a right to defend themselves.
Yes, sir.
Well, when he says that, he then gives himself an automatic explanation for what he's doing in Ukraine.
Right.
Got it.
And Crimea.
And at the same time, he is belittling Obama.
He is saying, look at me, I'm bigger than Obama.
Obama won't say this about your own ally, and I will.
There's all kinds of I mean, I think that I'm glad you caught that, because that is a fascinating, that's a teachable moment.
What's happening there?
And and then meanwhile, what's Barry doing?
Barry is in Austin, Texas, or in Colorado, shooting pool, uh, wishing he could accept an offer of a joint, and then going to a public theater and making a speech all about how woe is him because the Republicans want to sue him.
Meanwhile, here's Putin propping up Israel.
And where's Kerry?
John Kerry's over at the Chicoms playing the guitar.
And when he finished there, he flew to Afghanistan.
He he bummed out of the media mogul meeting in Sun Valley.
Did you know that?
Well, you know, Herb Allen, uh Herbie Allen, Allen and company, they have this this media mogul thing every uh summer in Sun Valley in uh in Idaho.
By the way, do you know who founded Sun Valley?
Sun Valley was nothing.
It was just a great place, but it was not it was barren wilderness.
Averyl Harriman, W. A. In fact, the original ski lift built by W. Averyl Harriman.
I've seen it.
I have been there.
John Kerry has a home.
Well, Teresa Hines has a home that Kerry, as a marital uh cohabitor, lives in.
Anyway, uh got all kinds of media hot shots.
I've never been invited to this thing, which is why I don't take it seriously.
How can you have a week-long confab of some of the most powerful media moguls in the country, and I'm not there?
Anyway, it's it's mostly executives, of which I'm one.
I'm the CEO of the EIB network.
Nevertheless, Kerry was invited to speak today.
Charlie Rose always goes on interviews the guests at the panel discussions that the media moguls supposedly learn from.
And Kerry was supposed to be there for a speech today, and he had to bump out because he had to make an emergency trip to Afghanistan right off of his guitar recital in China.
And by the way, the Chicago Oh.
I was reading the Wall Street Journal today, has a Chiccoms.
I'm not making this up.
The ChICOMs have attacked that part of the IOS operating system where my favorite feature resides.
No, they are trying to get rid of it.
They are claiming it's called frequent locations.
And the ChICOMs are claiming that frequent locations.
It's just the phone registering its GPS position, is all it is.
The ChICOMs are claiming that that feature is permitting iPhones to find out what's going on in hidden areas of the ChICOM government.
It's no way.
It's literally no way.
Besides, the user can turn it off.
If the ChICOMs want, they can commandeer everybody's iPhone and turn it off.
You can disable it.
You if you can even find it's buried so deep in the system software, it takes a veteran user like me to even find it.
But here now the ChICOMs are attacking that part of the system where my favorite feature is.
What do you mean?
No, no, no.
They haven't taken out no no.
No, no, no.
They haven't.
Apple hasn't taken it.
This this the ChICOMs just hope to criticize it today.
I don't think it's gone.
It's gone in this beta.
I'm hoping and praying they put it back.
But I'm just telling you, can you imagine how I felt today when I read the journal and I read the ChICOMs are attacking the part of the iPhone operating system where my favorite feature lives.
It's not been my day.
Having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have.
Rush Limbaugh living my dream, doing that which I was born to do.
Something I would wish for everybody, by the way.
Here's Gus in Houston.
Gus your next on Open Line Friday.
Hi.
Barushki, great to talk to you.
Appreciate it.
Uh the reason I'm calling Mike, what I do for a living is I sell knee replacements and hip replacements.
And one of the ways we do that is by bringing in cadavers for surgeons to put our products in so they can practice putting our knee or our hip in.
We were at a cadaver lab in Texas about a month and a half ago and have a variety of orthopedic surgeons that were putting these knees in.
And the conversation turned to billing and insurance, and one of the guys brought up a problem he was having in his office, and it turned out they were all having this problem.
These guys with Obamacare, patients with Obamacare, present at their office.
They give them their card, they appear to be insured.
That doctor's office will then call the insurance company to make sure they are indeed insured.
Looks like everything's a go.
They put a knee in.
When they go to collect the money, they're being told these guys were not covered at the time, and they are on the hook for all this money.
These guys are livid.
Wait a minute now.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait just a second.
I need I need to reconstruct this in my own words to make sure I understand this.
You got a bunch of doctors and they got Obamacare Insured patients presenting.
They get treatment and then they present their Obamacare insurance cards.
And the doctors do not automatically assume that means they're good.
They still double check.
So they call and they find out if indeed these people are insured and are covered, and they're told they are.
That correct.
And then they st but they don't get paid.
So when they don't get paid, they call back and then and when they well, sorry, they weren't insured.
So that insurance company, whatever their peripheral uh look see to see if that patient is covered, is not the same uh information they're looking at when they have to write the check.
And they're then telling that physician, sorry, you're on the hook.
And these are big ticket operations.
That is unbelievable.
So they've got two databases.
They've got a they got a fraudulent database that tells the doctors, A, they're insured, and then later the doctors find out that database is incorrect that they're I don't know that that that they have two databases.
I think they don't look as deeply as they do when they're writing a check.
That is in so but but still the doctors are it it is reported to the doctors that the patients are covered.
That's right.
That's right.
And then later somehow they find out that they really weren't covered, that a mistake was made somewhere, and the doctor for the money.
When they go for the money, that's when they find out.
And the doctor's office has a team of people in place that that's what they do.
They verify insurance.
And so there's so much confusion at the insurance companies that they're oftentimes reporting it incorrectly.
And so they may appear to be insured.
The patient may think he's insured, but in fact, when it comes time to write that check, that patient's not insured.
So what are they going to do?
Well, right now they're trying to figure it out.
This happened to be two different groups, and the same problem was happening to both of us.
This is just fucking there's nothing.
There's nothing.
You can't make money sitting on a toilet.
Just doesn't work that way.
They're out.
This is a thank you, Obama.
This is endless chaos in the Obamacare networks.
Nobody knows who's doing what.
Nobody knows if somebody's insured.
Nobody can guarantee somebody is going to get reimbursed or paid.
And even when they haven't been paid, the records say they have.
What are the doctors to do?
Export Selection
