What is that?
About a thousand media people here at the NBA press conference today.
Hey, here's what we know.
By the way, greetings, welcome back.
Uh Rush Limbaugh, EIB network.
TMG just caught up with Oprah, which is not very hard to do.
Well, is it?
It's not very hard to catch up with Oprah.
Oprah says she doesn't want the team.
But she thinks it'd be cool if Magic bought the team.
But uh, she said we got to get rid of his plantation mentality.
We're off the plantation.
Oprah, come on, get real.
We haven't been a plantation mentality in this country and I don't know how long.
And in fact, I keep quoting Bernie Goldberg because he's right.
The universal outrage over this proves this is not a racist country anymore.
We can we can get past this.
But apparently what's going to happen here, we have advance word, ladies and gentlemen.
Sterling is going to be suspended indefinitely, the owner of the team.
Oprah told TMZ, interesting how they are always in the middle of this, by the way.
Oprah told TMZ that she doesn't want the clippers, but man, it would be great if magic bought them.
So then TMZ caught up with magic, which is not hard to do these days either, and he said he doesn't want the Clippers.
So the plot thickens out there as the price continues to be driven lower.
I don't know.
Everybody says that no, I don't want the team.
Including those who no doubt do.
Anyway, great to have you back.
Rush Limbaugh and the Excellence in Broadcasting Network.
Now to John Kerry.
Uh, and what he said was about 24 hours ago that we found out about it.
Basically said that Israel, if they're not careful, is going to end up being an apartheid state, an apartheid nation.
And it's just simply outrageous.
There are about 25% of the population of Israel, I think, is Palestinian.
If it's not that high, it's close.
Palestinian Arabs are in the Knesset.
They run for office and are elected.
They live peacefully in Israel.
There is that there is there is no comparison whatsoever.
Now, Carey, it turns out said this in a private setting to the global conspiracy group, the Trilateral Commission.
They're part of the New World Order gang.
And somebody from the Daily Beast got in there.
And I get the story here from the Politico.com.
Secretary of State John Kerry's private remarks to a meeting of influential New World Order leaders last week were allegedly taped by a reporter from the Daily Beast.
A fact that led to a personal apology from the trilateral commission chairman Joseph Nye yesterday.
In a letter to Secretary Kerry obtained by Politico, Joseph Nye expressed, quote, my deep apology and dismay that a reporter from the Daily Beast name is Josh Rogan somehow sneaked into the meeting room in which you were speaking to the commission this past.
Can you imagine Lurch getting this letter?
Here's Kerry, and he's got the letter from the New World Order Gang.
These are the guys that want to take over the world and put a one-world government.
They can't keep a reporter from the Daily Beast from sneaking in.
So Kerry gets his apology letter, and it says my deep apology and dismay that a reporter somehow sneaked into the meeting.
Sneaked in.
He was not invited, Nye wrote to Kerry, although how Mr. Rogan slipped past both commission staff and diplomatic security is unclear to me.
We have confirmed that he indeed was present and apparently recorded the session.
So the politico is outraged at the Daily Beast reporter.
Media versus media.
Media angry at media for sneaking into the precious trilateral commission secret meeting where John Carey told prestigious distinguished new world order leaders that Israel runs the risk of becoming an apartheid state.
The political mad at the reporter Josh Rogan for reporting on Kerry's comments because he broke the rules of the trilateral commission.
You know, it's funny we don't recall such concern from the politico after Mitt Romney's 47% remarks were taped at a private event by a Democrat operative.
Instead, the politico, like the rest of the media, celebrated that tape, and they played it as a near-endless loop about Romney and his 47% comment.
But whenever a Republican's private remarks are made public, it's all about the substance and the people's right to know.
Whenever a Democrat's private remarks are made public, it's all about the process by which they were obtained and who snuck in someplace and who cheated the system.
So anyway, well will Josh Rogan get a Pulitzer Prize here for his courageous reporting.
I'm just kidding.
He'd be lucky if he keeps his job.
Wait, Daily Beast, Daily Call.
Yeah, Daily Beast, it's a lib bunch.
That's that's uh the Daily Caller is Chatsworth Osborne Jr.'s website.
The Daily Beast is Tina Brown's.
So a Lib reporter got in there.
Well, a reporter from a Lib website got in there.
Now what did Kerry say?
Well, John Kerry released a statement yesterday which amounted to a refusal to apologize for his grotesque smear of Israel.
He said, if I could rewind the tape, I would have chosen a different word.
First, Israel is a vibrant democracy, and I do not believe, nor have I ever stated publicly or privately that Israel is an apartheid state or that it intends to become one.
Yes, you did, John.
He's being too cute by half here.
He didn't say Israel is, and he didn't say that it wants to be.
He said it runs the risk of becoming an apartheid state.
That's why he issued this humiliating non-apology, which is as inappropriate as Hillary Clinton's what difference at this point does it make response to her gross negligence in Benghazi.
I think that that Obama's foreign policy team has been a joke, a dangerous joke from the beginning.
We've got a dead ambassador, three other dead Americans in Benghazi, we've got I mean, I ran through it earlier in the program.
The world's on fire, the Iranians ramping up on their nuclear weapons.
We've got communist house posts being established here in our hemisphere.
Putin is reconstituting the Soviet Union.
and And everybody's absorbed and consumed here with Sterling and the Clippers.
Then here what we have here is John Kerry and what he said about dealing with the Russia.
This is the actual report from Josh Rogan, the Daily Beast.
The United States has proof that the Russian government in Moscow is running a network of spies inside Eastern Ukraine because the U.S. government has recordings of their conversations.
In addition to what he said about Israel, he talked about Russia to the Trilateral Commission on Friday, and that's what he said.
He said Intel is producing taped conversations of intelligence operatives taking their orders from Moscow, and everybody can tell the difference in the accents in the idioms and the language.
We know exactly who's giving these orders.
We know where they're coming from.
Kerry said at a private meeting of the Trilateral Commission at Washington, a recording of Kerry's remarks obtained by the Daily Beast.
Kerry didn't name specific Russian officials implicated in the recordings, but he claimed the intercepts provided proof for the Russians deliberately fomenting unrest in eastern Ukraine and lying about it to U.S. officials and the public.
And then he said this.
This is what's dangerously naive and just to me demonstrates Kerry is unqualified.
It's not an accident that you have some of the same people identified who were in Crimea and in Georgia.
And who are now in East Ukraine?
This is insulting to everybody's intelligence, let alone to our notions about how we ought to be behaving in the 21st century.
It's thugism, it's rogue statism, it's the worst order of behavior.
Who does he think he's dealing with here?
For crime and sake.
These people, folks, I'm telling you, they're dangerous.
What?
It's the 21st century, so everybody's supposed to be as wussified as you are.
It's the 21st century, so everybody's supposed to be as big a pansy as you are.
It's the 21st century, and so everybody's supposed to be as concerned with feelings and not being offended and gay marriage and whatever it is.
You are?
Do you not realize who Vladimir Putin is?
He's KGB.
Do you not realize what he wants to do?
Do you not realize who communists are?
They lie.
Just like you do.
I mean, this is, folks, it really is dangerous.
The degree of incompetence here that this man is willing to demonstrate.
This is like a little kid in the sandbox in kindergarten, crying about his best friend.
He told them my intelligence and our notions about how we ought to be behaving in the 21st century.
What is the magic of the 21st century, anyway?
That Obama's president?
Is that supposed to make everybody be nice now?
This is a world governed by the aggressive use of force.
It always has been.
This is not a world that has been put together with negotiation.
This is not a world that's been put together with doctors and nurses and clean water and doctors without borders and the Red Cross and all of that.
This is a world that's been put together.
The borders of this world exist because of the aggressive use of force.
It is undeniable.
And we are a great nation at risk in this dangerous world, and we have people in leadership positions in the White House and over the State Department in diplomatic circles who have no clue, apparently, about the genuine intentions of our enemies.
Sterling banned for life from any association with the Clippers.
Means he can't go to the games.
Can't negotiate contracts.
Does it mean he can't watch on TV?
What if magic invites him over to watch a game?
Can he do that?
Banned for life from any association with the Clippers and the NBA.
Well, he can still earn profits from it.
Well, I hear him.
It, it, it.
It.
Yeah, and so the commissioner is now uh urging the Board of Governors, the NBA to exercise their authority to urge Sterling to sell a team.
So there you have it.
Pretty much predictable.
Knowable.
Did I just Yeah, I just thought I saw two and a half million dollar fine for Donald Sterling.
When he gets the money back in the NAALCP will make that up.
So that's awash.
No, I'm just kidding.
He only gave him 45 grand.
Their rates are not very high.
At the end of the ALC PLA chapter.
45 grand's all it took.
Cheap award, two awards, two awards, and almost a third award for 45 grand.
Those are cheap rates.
So lifetime ban, that's that's I mean, Don, your point is that's a the same as taking his team away from him, which we didn't think they could do.
Um but they're urging the Board of Governors to force the sale of Sterling's Clippers team.
This is gonna open up potential lawsuits because the wife, the family may not want to get rid of this team.
So it's it ain't gonna be long before the the biggest cleanser in sports swoops in here, probably on Oprah's plane to uh save the day.
Just the it'll be a it's gonna be a matter of days, folks, before this happens.
At any rate, here's the rest of what John Kerry said.
After complaining about the behavior of the Russians.
Right now there is not a negotiation, there's a confrontation.
I'm sad to report.
He's talking to Trilateral Commission, these new world order people.
I'm sad to report, I've never seen such a complete miserable, unaccountable, disgraceful walk away from a set of promises and understandings than what has taken place.
I can't believe that this guy.
Sadly, I can't believe it.
But it's just good Lord.
Fox.
You know, I once joked that John Kerry is one of these guys that wanted to be Secretary of State because in his own mind, he really because he could speak French, that the rest of the world would finally throw down their arms and opposition and realize the good guys have finally arrived, just like every leftist thinks the only reason liberalism, communism, socialism has failed in the past because the right people haven't yet tried it.
Well, these people are the latest to think they're the right people.
And they think Obama was the Messiah, and he's gonna show up and the world was gonna love itself and each other and Kerry was much the same.
Can you believe we're talking about the KGB?
And Carrie's practically crying that he's trilateral commission guys.
I am sad to report I have never seen such a complete miserable, unaccountable, disgraceful walk away from a set of promises and understandings than what has taken place.
Can you imagine if we'd had to have this guy deal with Gorbachev?
Brief timeout.
We'll be back and continue after this.
Okay, back to the phones we go.
Um this this this uh press comms, the MBA.
Um you don't find take team away from him uh by suspending him for life.
The commissioner just said they're not even using anything in the past.
It's doing this on the basis of this tape.
Commissioner said that Sterling admitted that it was his voice on the tape, but said nothing else.
So on the basis of this tape, they're taking his team away from him.
Thank you.
On the basis of this tape, the NBA has decided to take his team away from him.
Here is who's next, John in uh Lampok, California.
Great to have you on the EIB network.
Hello.
Russ, I'm gonna talk to you.
We have Magic Johnson here leading the charge.
And where does he get his credibility from?
Because he played in the MBA?
I think if uh anyone can remember back, Magic Johnson likes his family like uh everyone that uh was a fan of his.
And here he is, the first one leading the charge, and I think.
Well, well, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, what what what magic lie about?
Magic cheated on his wife, lied, had aches, kept that secret for a while.
Well, that was just sex.
Uh that didn't affect anything.
But he lied to his family about it, and it was sex multiple times.
Well, so does everybody who has an affair.
Exactly.
So, but here's the credibility that he is now leading the charge, and the one that is wholesome as far as what he's saying to go on and to do what he's doing.
Well, look, there I am I'm I'm remembering here what Neil in Dallas said.
Neil said, draw a line for yourself and try not to step over it because they're coming for you.
They're gonna get you if you're not careful, and we want you to be here to entertain us every day.
And it's clear what's happened here.
And there's a reason why magic is considered Mr. Clean in sports, and I doesn't serve any purpose to explain that.
I mean, what's done's done here.
Nothing's gonna change what's happening.
So it it just it speaks for itself, really.
What's happened here?
Doesn't need any addition.
Well, Magic said he doesn't want the team.
Uh why shouldn't if he says he don't want the team, I'm gonna believe he says uh he doesn't want the team.
If he says so, I'm gonna believe magic when he gets yeah, I'm not I'm not what am I gonna do?
I'm gonna sit here's name magic doesn't mean it.
I magic says he doesn't want the team, he doesn't want the team.
No, Oprah said she hoped.
Oh, Oprah said she heard that magic wants to buy it.
Oh, and then Magic said, no, I don't want to buy it.
Well, Oprah's probably wrong.
Did she cry when she said this?
Well, then she if she'd cried, she didn't know what she was talking about.
The fact that she didn't cry means she's probably wrong.
I'm just based on her show.
Um, you gotta take a quick time out here if my friends you sit tight.
Uh I'm I'm chomping at the bit to explain this, but I'm not I'm just not gonna go there, folks.
There's nothing in it.
Just it is what it is.
Back after this.
The commissioner of the National Basketball Association, Alan Silver, I think Alan is his first name, said that Magic Johnson knows he's always welcome as an owner in this league.
Commissioner said that during the press conference today that Magic knows he's always welcome as an owner in this league.
Jim Gray noted sports reporter extraordinaire, Fox News actually talked to Sterling twice today before the announcement.
Sterling said no comment after the announcement.
Gray called Sterling back and reported it Sterling told him he doesn't know what he's gonna do, but that the team is not for sale.
That's not gonna go over well with the media.
That's not gonna go over well with the Board of Governors.
Sterling is supposed to get the message here to sell the team by sundown today.
And apparently at least his public pronoun Well he said it to Jim Gray, I guess he's not public yet.
Um again, it's important to note here that the commissioner said none of this punishment has anything to do with Sterling's past.
They haven't even looked into that yet.
It's strictly what V. Stiviano collected on that tape.
Now the reason for that protects a lot of people who looked the other way all these years when Sterling was being who he is.
Remember, this is nothing new, folks.
The thing everybody in the NBA has known this about Donald Sterling for years.
And I think it's quite telling that in response to a question the commissioner said, no, no, no, no, no, there's nothing to do with anything in Sterling's past.
Because that provides cover for a lot of people look the other way.
It only has to do with uh what happened on the tape.
Bart in uh in Tucson, Arizona.
I'm glad you called, sir.
Great to have you on the program.
Hello.
Hello, Rush Mega Ditto since 1990 college days.
Thank you, sir.
Great to have you here.
Thank you.
Uh I wanted to say that the uh I find the Boehner, Jeb Bush, and the Republican leadership in general, they're just like the regime and how they treat uh they treat conservatives like the regime treats Israel and they treat liberals like the regime uh treats Putin,
Iran, China, you know, they they acquiesce to them, they bow to them, they go out of their way to be nice to them, and then their supposed allies, they just have nothing but contempt.
You know, you I think you're really on to something.
Can I give you an example of what you just said?
Sure.
At the NRA convention over the weekend, Sarah Palin uh cracked a joke about uh I don't have it in front of me, but she cracked a joke about uh the way she and her team, whatever, would would would baptize militant Islamist terrorists is with waterboarding.
And people on the Republican side are just fit to be tied over this.
Um they're just angry as and they're and they're they're saying what a you know insensitive joke.
How can somebody who is a conservative Republican make such an insulting comment about Christianity and and all this?
And it's just the reason, and by the way, her joke got tons of laughter at the NRA, and the reason that the Republicans don't understand it is exactly what you just said.
Most Republican voters are fed up with the fact that the Republican Party doesn't take it to the enemy.
The Republican Party, in terms of what outward appearance is the enemy is the Tea Party, the enemy is conservatives.
And and uh I I think there's a lot of frustration from people.
The Republicans acquiesce to the Democrats, be nice to the Democrats, talk about crossing the arrow with the Democrats, just like Kerry and Obama talking about trying to be nice with the Russians and with Putin and so forth.
Uh when instead the Republicans ought to be trying to stop Obama.
There ought to be no question about repealing Obamacare.
There ought to be no question about opposing uh Amnesty because it's going to make a permanent Democrat majority if this happens.
And they don't see any of this.
And I I think your point is is uh is well taken.
Uh it's it's and by the way, people, you know, Boehner walked back his comments, and I wasn't mocking anybody.
Now I didn't hear Boehner's comments.
The people who did think that he was uh mocking Republicans of the T. And Snerdless just tell you there's no question that he was.
But the point is he walked him back, and Kathy McMorris Rogers walked her comments back about not repealing Obamacare, because she her office just got tons of of uh of opposition.
So you have you have a good point.
Uh they treat conservatives like the regime treats Israel, they treat liberal uh the the Democrats and liberals like the regime treats Putin, Iran and China like they're afraid of them.
And then don't want them to be mad at them and so forth.
It's uh it's a frustrating thing.
So your point's well taken.
Thanks, Rush.
Yeah, well, you bet.
I I had to get you in there at least acknowledging that uh you'd been praised here on the program.
Have you seen the outrage over over uh Palin's joke in some quarters?
Well, yeah, this look, I understand um comparing baptizing.
That's that is a very devout.
I mean, that's a crucial aspect of Christianity, comparing to waterboarding and so forth.
But I say I understand uh I understand why people would want to defend her.
Because she's at least taking it to the end.
She's at least standing up and saying stop to these people.
And uh she's one Republican who is, and we just don't see a whole lot of Republicans doing that.
You name them, McCain.
They just whatever all this talk about compromise and making Washington work, and they always put the onus on us.
Somehow it's it's our problem Washington isn't working.
Uh, let's see.
Yeah, I better take a break.
Time is tight, but we'll squeeze it in.
Don't go.
And we're back.
Ill Rushbow's serving humanity, executing a signed host duties flawlessly, zero mistakes.
I tell you what's happening, these Republican leaders that if they go out and if if they say one syllable indicating that they're cool with Obamacare, or that they don't think it can be repealed, or that they don't think it can be walked back, they are going to hear about it.
They and they are hearing about it.
They're going, they are being hammered.
Kathy McMyre McMorris Rogers heard about I've got this piece here.
I've been holding this.
And it's it's the morning bell blog from the Heritage Foundation.
The new narrative on Obamacare repeal is so last year.
The new narrative, oh, we can't.
Oh, yes, but they point out it can be.
Do conservatives still want to repeal Obamacare?
It would seem the media don't want you to think so.
Obama just said a couple of weeks ago the repeal debate's over.
We're now seeing that mirrored in media coverage of Congress after a local newspaper reported that Representative Kathy McMorris Rogers said repeal was unlikely.
Her office fired back.
She never said that.
That's because her office got hammered.
Her office put out a statement saying she will continue fighting to repeal Obamacare at every opportunity because she heard from people after what she did say that repeal looks unlikely.
And in Heritage goes on to say a few things to keep in mind.
Repealing previous legislation has been done.
There is precedent for repealing a major health care law happened in 1989.
That was the Medicare Catastrophic Coverage Act in 1988.
Once it took effect, Americans didn't like it one bit.
This is when seasoned citizens actually stormed the automobile of Dan Rusty Rostinkowski.
Democrat, speaker to House, not speaking of the House of the Chairman of some committee, and they let him have it.
And they repealed it overnight.
And Heritage points out here that Obamacare is hardly settled law.
We can't forget that whole provisions of this law have been nullified, modified, delayed, or suspended.
Indeed, over the past four years, there have been a total of 40 changes to this law.
The fact of the matter is most of this law hasn't even been implemented yet.
It was supposed to have been by now, but it's so devastating to Democrats that Obama has delayed it and has moved back the implementation dates until they're after elections.
He has offered over 2,500 waivers so that people wouldn't be harmed by it.
The fact is it is it it would be not that difficult to repeal this thing because it hasn't settled in yet.
There aren't a whole lot of people signed up for this.
There aren't a whole lot of people depending on this yet.
There is time to repeal this.
This is why people are fed up with these Republicans.
It's just too hard, it's too hard, it's too hard.
That's why you're there.
It's not too hard.
It's harder living with this law.
That's what's hard.
The longer Obama gets to implement what he believes, the harder it's gonna be to get ahead.
The harder it's gonna be to improve your standard of living.
That's what's hard.
There's no and I'll tell you.
You wait until a bunch of people find out.
It's one thing to be lied to, that your doctor and your coverage, if you like them, you can keep them.
It's another thing when you're told that your prescriptions are covered and they're not.
You wait until a bunch of people, particularly seasoned citizens find out that they're the drugs they take that they associate with staying alive, you wait till they find out either how expensive they're gonna be or how unavailable they're gonna be, and you're gonna see a total protest over this.
The worst has yet to implement.
There is livid outrage as there should be.
As is always the case, folks, there's a lot of stuff left on the table here today that I've got.
I mean, events happen.
