Time Text
Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24-7 podcast.
I told you, I told you, I told you CNN would not accept the verdict from the Prime Minister of Malaysia.
I told you they wouldn't accept it.
Every well, I'm not going to say every prediction I made's come true on this, but that these predictions were not hard, but it's hilarious.
They just can't let go of it.
And uh a never-ending roster of guests who do not believe.
And some of them make some sense, I have to admit.
But anyway, folks, it's great to have you.
Here we are back at it.
Another full three hours of broadcast excellence hosted by me, Rush Limba, doing what I was born to do.
And it's great to have you here.
The telephone number, you want to be on the program 800-282-2882, the email address L Rushbow at EIBNet.com.
Did you see Mochelle Obama is over visiting with the ChICOMs?
She took her mother and two daughters, and they're overvisiting the Chicoms.
She told a ChICOM audience that not long ago that there were actually laws in America that allowed discrimination against black people like her and her husband.
She mentioned that to the ChICOM audience.
Now I wonder, I really wonder if Michelle Obama knows that you can't even move from the country into a city in China unless you have a permit.
And that getting a permit is dependent on many things which are discriminatory.
I wonder if she even knows that.
You need, for example, an internal passport and an internal passport.
The ChICOM population is so big, they have internal passports, and you can't get one of those unless you are connected to some somebody high up in the ChICOM party.
And I wonder also if Michelle Obama even knows that every single one of these laws that discriminated against blacks like her and her husband were written, enacted, and enforced by Democrats, every damn one of them.
And I will bet you that she doesn't know that.
But she was making these comments ostensibly in a speech about how far America has come and how great America is and uh all that.
And she's making a point why to show you how far we've come, why it wasn't that long ago that uh America actually had laws that allowed discrimination against black people like me and my husband.
And so she's once again, it's it's just more of the same.
Uh the Obamas spreading out all over the world, heralding what has been wrong about this country, what the native inherent faults have been, and essentially apologizing in one way or another.
Now I want to get a prediction of CI told you so out of the way.
I want to take you back to this program.
This is uh June 20th of 2013.
And this is when they were unrolling the exchanges or rolling out the Obamacare exchanges, and we had learned who had been granted all the money to run covered California.
The NAALCP, uh, a bunch of unions, basically a bunch of left-wing activists.
And I I read an excerpt from a column by Betsy McCoy about this, and I pointed out that what this really was going to be, in addition to whatever it was doing with health care, that this was a massive Democrat voter registration drive, and that the Obamacare Exchange in practically every state would also double as serving to register voters.
This is what I said June 20th, 2013.
It's about nine months ago.
Now, the Investors Business Daily editorial written by Betsy McCoy details what the health care exchanges in Obamacare really are about.
And she focuses on California because they're getting 90 million dollars to set up the exchanges in California.
It turns out these exchanges are just being used for Democrat Party outreach.
The NAACP is getting 600,000 from the California Exchange.
The AFL CIO is getting one million.
The Service Employees International Union is getting two million.
And for what?
To go door to door to register voters to show up at community centers and make presentations on the Democrat Party and sell the Democrat Party agenda.
And that was this program on June 20th of 2013.
I have a story from a Clatchy News that was published just today.
The headline California to send voter registration cards to Obamacare applicants.
Hot damn, do I know these people or do I know these people?
Heading off a lawsuit over compliance with a federal voting rights law, California officials have agreed to help millions of state residents register to vote.
Isn't it a beautiful thing?
Under a deal announced Monday by several voting rights groups, the state will send voter registration cards to nearly 3.8 million Californians who have applied for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act.
Voila.
And here we have further evidence of the complete politicization of Obamacare and what its real purpose is.
As uh as the writer here from McClatchy News says, the move will ensure that many residents can complete or update their registration in time for the June 3rd primary election and bring the state into compliance with the National Voter Registration Act of 1993.
The law requires that certain state offices provide clients with registration opportunities.
The law requires that certain state office so there is just another illustration of being on a cutting-edge societal evolution.
You knew nine months before it happened what was going to happen if you listen to this program and if you had the courage to believe the truth.
Sometimes it takes courage to believe the truth because the truth seems to be so against the grain of what the norm and conventional wisdom appears to be.
It might have been one week ago today, I forget which.
And I sit here minding my own business, bothering nobody doing show prep.
And I happened a corner of my eye, I saw videotape of me in the Ditto Cam up on Fox News.
So I said, hmm.
So I uh I hit the audio button that turned on the volume.
I turned up the uh potentiometer, and uh I heard I heard the uh infobabe Martha McCallum promoing an upcoming uh segment, which they were gonna ask guests to respond to my assertion that the coverage of the crash of the Malaysian airline had gone just wacko overboard,
and my concern that was the simplest explanation is going to end up being the explanation, and because there's been so much craziness that people aren't going to believe it.
Well, that begot others uh playing that video tape of me saying that all over Fox later that night on O'Baxter's show and and elsewhere.
And it's just folks, it's just an innate ability that I have to predict these things that what's going to happen.
Now, you can't believe the number of people say, I told you I was the first.
I told you that the media coverage was outraged.
I told you it was going to be over the top.
I was the first, right?
And then they got their guests sitting with them to say, Yep, you called it, my man.
You were right.
John Stewart, who has uh staff of 30 writers, 30 producers, a closet full of Emmys, said on his program last night stuff that you heard on this program two weeks ago.
Don't misunderstand.
This is not sour grapes.
It's just that and I get this all people say, Rush, you don't, you don't, you don't toot your own horn enough.
And I don't specifically purposely.
But in this one, uh, it it really when I when I made that claim that the media coverage over kind of opened the floodgates and everybody joined us, like everybody thought it.
Everybody thought the media coverage of this plane crash was just over the top in black holes and conspiracy theories and the plane have been hijacked and hollowed out for a giant nuclear weapon to be put in there.
I think everybody thought it was over the top, but nobody said so until I, Ill Rushbo came along.
I probably wasn't the first to think it, but I was the first to articulate it.
And the same thing here, knowing what's going to happen with these Obamacare exchanges, they're nothing more than Democrat voter outreach.
That's another reason why folks there really isn't a whole lot of concern at the regime on how many people are signing up because they don't think anybody's going to be able to unwind this anyway.
I mean, the truth of the matter is that that no matter how few people have signed up, no matter how few people have enrolled, and no matter how many they can prove, no matter how many people have paid, and even what the demographic breakout of the people have paid, the people at the regime are confident that nobody's going to be able to roll it back, repeal it, defund it, any of that.
They're sitting there confident that the Republicans aren't going to roll it back, that they don't have the guts or the political will to do it, and when Ted Cruz and Mike Lee were trying to get everybody focused on a couple of votes in the Senate two or three months ago that would lead to being it uh defunded or repealed.
Of course, they were destroyed by members of their own party.
So the regime is sitting there thinking that nothing's going to happen to this.
And the longer it is in play, the deeper the tentacles of Obamacare sink throughout the bowels of our society.
And the more any entitlement settles in, the greater the dependence on it, and then the greater the impossibility or difficulty of repealing it.
So the regime is saying, we don't care.
They got a second purpose here going on.
That's Democrat voter registration and outreach.
It doesn't really matter.
Because what's the ultimate aim anyway is to get rid of all these exchanges, essentially, and to get rid of private sector insurance and to send everybody to Medicare.
Or some other form of single payer.
The situation with Matt Drudge and the Obama media harping all over, calling him a liar, the regime itself, Obama administration, calling him a liar, The IRS forms, we talked about yesterday, the IRS Form 1040 ES actually has a blank space for people that file quarterly estimates, start making payments on their Obamacare penalty if they don't pay.
Now here's what's a the media, the Obama media has begrudgingly had to admit that Drudge was not lying.
There's a a blog site out there called Talking Points Memo.
And uh one of the one of the writers has concluded that Drudge was not lying.
Probably not lying, probably was doing the right thing, in fact, by uh getting a head start on paying his penalty for not buying insurance.
However, ladies and gentlemen, the rage at Matt Drudge is not abated.
The Obama media and the drive-by media is still just as ticked off at Drudge as they were when they thought he was lying about all this to embarrass Lord Obama.
Now they begrudgingly admit, you know why?
I'll tell you why, because and this really gets to the nub of it.
What they're really ticked about is that Drudge is opting out.
It's it's not that he's not contributing, because if you pay the fine, you're obviously sending money to Obamacare.
But if you don't buy an Obamacare policy, then you are not joining.
You are not becoming a member of the group.
And the rage at Drudge is actually about the fact that he chose to pay the fine in the first place, not so much whether he had to pay it now or next year, although that was a real reason for their anger.
But now that they have concluded that they were wrong and that he was well, they don't conclude that they're wrong.
They just conclude that he might be right now, that he might not be lying, but they're still angry.
And it's all about the fact that he didn't opt in.
Because it means he's not a team player.
It means he's not helping Obama.
It means he's not promoting Obamacare.
It means he's not one of us.
It means he is positioning himself as an opponent as a as a as a member of the enemy.
Anybody that pays the fine, anybody can afford Obamacare and chooses to pay the fine is a traitor.
Essentially, a traitor to the cause.
And ladies and gentlemen, the Children's Choice Book Awards is the only national book awards program where the winners are selected by the kids and teenagers, the uh people that read the books.

Remember this has only been around since 2008.
There are two groups that uh that sponsor this, every child a reader and the children's book council.
And the stated purpose here is to celebrate young readers by recognizing the books that matter the most to them.
In 2013, over one million votes were cast by kids and teenagers.
This year, young readers can vote for their favorite author.
And I am uh a finalist in that category.
Favorite illustrator and book of the year.
And again, the voting starts today and it runs through May 12th.
Every child a reader is a literacy organization dedicated to instilling a lifelong love of reading in children.
It's uh national programs include Children's Book Week, the National Ambassador for Young People's Literature, and the Children's Choice Book Awards, which is what this is.
The Children's Book Council, the National Nonprofit Trade Association of Children's Book Publishers dedicated to supporting and informing the industry and fostering literacy.
So again, if your children have read Rush Revere in the Brave Pilgrims, or if they're reading Rush Revere in the First Patriots, second book, which is out now, of course.
And if they would like to vote, simply go to Rush Limbaugh.com and we've got a link that'll take you right to the voting page.
Greetings, welcome back, Rush Limbaugh.
This is the EIB network.
Do you remember the name Nate Silver?
You know Nate Silver, he was this, he was this wonder kinda analyst.
He's uh he analyzed polling data apparently better than anybody ever had.
He was at the New York Times.
And well, he missed the 2010 midterms, but everybody promptly forgot about that.
He called the 2008 presidential race and he called the 2012 Presidential race, almost exactly.
And so he became a hero to the Democrats.
And during the 2012 campaign, there was all kinds of confusion about the polling data.
And you know, you have Dick Morris out there saying, well, you're going to have all kinds of Romney turnout that's not reported in these polls.
Romney's going to win big five, six points, whatever.
A lot of people, a lot of Democrats are afraid that was going to happen because there was no happiness left with Obama.
But Nate Silver.
So I said, don't worry.
Don't worry, Obama's got this in the bag and handily so.
And readers of the New York Times would post comments, oh, thank God for Nate Silver.
Well, Nate Silver has just predicted better than 50-50 Republicans win the Senate, and now they're turning on him.
Now they hate it.
We'll have the details when we get back.
They loved Nate Silver.
They went to bed feeling confident because of Nate Silver.
They didn't worry a wink about Obama's re-election because of Nate Silver.
Nate Silver was the Bible.
Nate Silver in his 538 blog at the New York Times.
He started out as a sport statistician analyst.
And then he got into politics.
He didn't do his own polling data, he just analyzed everybody else's polling data.
And apparently came up with an algorithm and a formula that made everybody else's look like first grade.
And he became the guru.
And whatever he said people went to the bank on.
He didn't see the uh the massive Republican landslide in 2010.
He got he got the Republican victory right, but not the size of it.
But in 2012, nailed it.
And shortly after the 2012 election, Nate Silver announced that he was tired of doing political poll analysis and was taking his 538 blog to ESPN, because he's a sports guy at heart.
So he's now doing sports stat analysis and other things for ESPN, but he also has begun in his spare time to dabble into the political polling universe once again.
He was on this week, this past Sunday on ABC.
Uh Jonathan Carl interviewed him, and he said, okay, Nate, what's the projection for the midterms coming up?
How many seats in the Senate are the Republicans going to pick up?
I'd say exactly six, but it's probably six plus or minus five.
That means it could have been.
But they could pick up 11 seats?
They could.
Yeah.
What you're basically saying is a 60% chance that Republicans win the Senate.
Stuff like that.
60% chance could be as many as 11 seats.
Now remember, the Democrats, the left thinks this guy is infallible.
They really, so many of them invested their psychological health in what Nate Silver was saying during the questionable nervous days and months leading up to the 2012 election.
Now the Democrats are all saying, well, you know what?
His model really isn't all that hot.
Nate Silver's computer model is not settled science.
It's nothing we can count.
They're doing everything they can now to disqualify Nate Silver, so he doesn't know what he's talking about.
Democrats like Paul Krugman are out all over the place.
Hey, you know what?
Computer models like Silver, we gotta throw them out because they can be wrong.
Oh, you mean like the climate change models, Paul?
Are you gonna throw those out too?
Or are you just gonna throw out the models that show bad news for your side?
How can they never admit the global warming models can be wrong?
I mean, the global warming models are settled science.
And remember point that I made yesterday, and do not doubt me on this.
Virtually everything that you have heard climate change, global warming proponents predict and warn you about comes strictly from computer models, which are predicting the future 10, 20, 1500 years out.
The global warming debate is not even about science.
It is pure politics.
It is not even using empirical data.
It's not using factual data from the past.
Some of that's been doctored.
It's not using scientific data.
It's using computer models that activists have created, plugged in the data they want to get the results they want, and they have portrayed their models to be infallible.
Al Gore everybody.
They're using computer models.
They're not using science.
Meanwhile, the scientists on our side, the so-called denier side, have gone full bore into science to try to disprove what these people are.
And they've been talking the same language.
What our side needs to do is come up with their own models that show no warming and no this and no that to compete because models are it.
I ain't got to throw those out, but Nate Silver's models now, which are forecasting the future based on real hard empirical data, Now they have to be thrown out.
You think uh Nate Silver would have been allowed to espouse such negative projections if we were still working at the New York Times.
If if if Nate Silver were working at the New York Times and produced this body of work on the 2012 or 2014 midterms coming up, why I think I think the roasting he would get would be horrible.
I mean, they'd kick him out, they'd throw call him a traitor.
Here's the story in the hill.com.
Democrats are turning against Nate Silver.
The political data guru they touted in 2012.
Two years ago, he was described as a soothsayer after repeatedly saying that Obama would win a second term.
He accurately predicted the winner in each state in the 2012 race.
Conservatives ripped Silver back then for his flawed model, with some claiming Silver was a biased liberal.
Democrats loved him then, but now they are attacking him.
The difference, of course, is that the Democrats' political fortunes have taken a turn for the worse, and Silver isn't optimistic about their chances.
And Silver, for some reason, cares about the credibility of his work.
And he doesn't want to taint it with what he hopes happens.
He's actually simply reporting the data that his models are producing based on all the polling data that's out there.
Just like Matt Drudge must be castigated, hated and despised for opting out of Obamacare and not buying a policy.
Nate Silver must now be disenfranchised and thrown to the wolves because he is not furthering the cause, and they don't care how many lies or distortions are necessary to further the cause because all of liberalism is a lie.
All of liberalism is a distortion.
Liberals were honest about what they really intended to do, they would never get elected president ever.
Nobody.
We haven't lost the country to that degree.
Nate Silver said, we think the Republicans are now slight favorites to win at least six seats and capture the chamber.
They could win as many as 11 seats.
Charlie Cook, yeah, Nate Silver's not the only one, but but Nate Silver, he was he was God.
Nate Silver was the final authority.
Nate Silver was the guy that all these worried paranoid Democrats relied upon for their sanity.
I'm not exaggerating this.
It was amusing to read comments posted to the 538 blog in the New York Times from Democrats, San Francisco, all over the country, saying they could sleep at night now without an ambient because Nate Silver was saying it was going to be okay.
This is what they tend to do.
They invest in a singular messianic personality.
And when that person doesn't follow what they hope or want, then they are challenged.
I mean, it's it's this it's a it's a sanity challenge.
So they're in they're they're they're very upset and turning on him, and it probably is going to get worse for the poor guy before it gets better.
Before we go to the break, you know, Obama's over.
We kicked the we kicked it, we kicked the Russians out of G eight, by the way.
And there is a, ladies and gentlemen, an AP story.
I want to read you just a brief excerpt.
Because here's the headline.
Obama to do what Rush Limbaugh said he wouldn't in response to Russian aggression.
The AP is thrilled.
They're ecstatic.
Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh last week said that President Obama should push for harsher punishments for Russia over its aggression in Ukraine.
Limbaugh argued that Obama and his allies should kick Russia out of the G eight and the International Monetary Fund.
But Limbaugh predicted the president would not push for such action.
However, on Monday, the Washington Post reported that Obama does plan to urge world leaders to suspend Russia from the G-8.
And then this sentence.
It's unlikely the White House is taking advice from the king of talk radio.
But it appears that Limbaugh may have spoken too soon.
So I guess I'm not an entertainer in this report.
And Obama, he can't.
Oh, no way!
No way would Obama be following the advice I had given.
No, what's going on here is that I spoke too soon.
I went out on a limb, and Obama cut the limb off right out from under me.
Um it was, it was a safe bet.
The safe bet he did, he ended up doing something that I frankly surprised he did it.
It's a suspension, by the way.
It's not it's not a removal.
This is the thing.
And the AP needs to update this because they have not been kicked out of the G eight.
They have been suspended, and that it's a big difference.
So we got a brief time out.
We'll take it and be back after this.
And we're back.
Great to have you here.
El Rushmore serving humanities.
Simply by showing up.
Here are a couple of Obama sound bites.
He's at The Hague in the Netherlands.
He was doing a joint press conference with the Netherlands Prime Minister Mark Ruta.
No selfies taken.
Ruta is a guy.
During the QA, unidentified reporters said, Is this a done deal?
Is there any doubt in your mind that Putin will return Crimea to where it belongs, according to the West?
Or is this diplomatic show force basically just to prevent another land grab somewhere else by Putin?
It's not a done deal in the sense that the international community, by and large, is not recognizing the annexation of Crimea.
Obviously, the facts are on the ground are that the Russian military controls Crimea.
Yeah.
But I think it would be uh dishonest uh to suggest that there's a simple solution to uh resolving uh what has already taken place in Crimea.
Russia's still making a series of calculations.
And again, those calculations will be impacted in part by how unified the United States and Europe are uh and the international community is uh in saying to Russia that this is not uh how in the 21st century we resolve disputes.
There wasn't a dispute.
Well, there is now.
But here it is again this 21st century.
This is not how we do it.
Well, he did it.
There wasn't a dispute.
Putin wanted Ukraine and Crimea, so he made a move on him.
There wasn't any dispute.
There was a negotiation.
So Putin goes and does it, and we're still stuck in the hey, this is a 21st century.
You can't do it that way.
After he did it, and so then we're saying, okay, you know what?
Well, we're gonna suspend you from the from the from the from the G eight, Vlad.
We're we're we're we're just gonna suspend you.
You just you can't come anymore.
Well, we're not gonna let you in when we get together to G eight anymore, Vlad.
So what Obama said here is that he was not going to recognize what Putin did, but that he admits that Putin did it.
And he's not gonna reverse it unless Putin decides to jump into the 21st century.
Meanwhile, he's gonna try to stay solidarity and unification with uh with the Europeans in what they say about what Putin did.
And if the Europeans go along with suspending Putin from the G eight.
This is the this is the full mention of G8 suspensions from the Washington Post.
Obama are ousted by G8.
Russia determined to prove it can thrive without the West.
You know why Putin thinks he can thrive without the West?
It's all about natural gas, folks, and it's all about economics.
Here's what has been happening.
Here's what is happening.
All of these silly Western European socialist democracies have just bought in to this entire insane belief that economic progress is resulting in the destruction of the planet and the climate.
That is what they believe.
Economic progress fueled by the engine of freedom, and the fuel for that engine is oil.
There isn't a substitute for it.
Oil and natural gas, there are no substitutes for it anywhere.
Solar, wind, not even close.
So here you have these pointy-headed intellectual theoreticians, these little socialists, who think they're smarter than everybody else in the UK and uh in France and uh wherever else you go in the European Union.
They have decided that they're going to be good people.
And to show the world that they're good people, that they're good stewards.
And so they have gotten rid of as much of their fossil fuel energy production, and they have replaced it with the weather.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the European nations are fueling their economies with energy provided by the weather.
That is how you have to look at wind and solar.
Well, what happens if the sun's behind the cloud?
Hell, what happens, sun shining brightly?
You can't, it just isn't there yet.
Ditto with wind.
But Putin didn't do anything.
Putin is now in charge of all the natural gas lines to go through Ukraine that service these silly socialist European democracies who don't have to spend any money defending themselves because we do that via NATO.
So they're free to experiment with all of this totally insane liberal feel-good gobbledygook.
And they are now very dependent on Vladimir Putin for the natural gas that's going to heat their homes, power their various uh utility needs.
So Putin is saying, I don't care.
I don't need your G8.
I'll be happy to have you guys be the G7, and I'll be the G1 asterisk.
I don't care, because you guys got nothing without me.
He now owns the pipelines.
But we're gonna suspend him from the G eight for a while.
Vladimir Putin supplies more than 40% of the natural gas to Europe.
So he has much more leverage over these silly Western European socialist democracies than they have on him by threatening to suspend Russia from the G eight.
He'll just stick in the 19th century and run rings around these smarter than nobody else in the room pointy heads that think they are the future in the 21st century.
Obama got a question at that press conference to Haig about Romney that he didn't like.
Jonathan Carl asked it.
When we come back, we'll um we'll treat you to that.
And folks, you've got to hear.
You just you have to hear, care how tired of it you are, you've got to hear the sound bites of CNN not giving up on the crash of Malaysian Flight 370.
You've got to hear it.
Export Selection
