Time Text
Lots to do here and not enough time to do it.
So I'm just going to try to get what I can in here in this hour.
And what I don't get, I will hold over and mix it in with Amarin.
If it's worth surviving, it does.
And if not, then it goes to the ether.
And all of that's purely an editorial junk.
That's where empathy comes in.
Empathy.
And if I care about it, I'll talk about it.
If it's not that interesting, I ditch it.
And that's stressful.
But I never complain about it because who would listen?
Greetings, folks.
Great to have you.
Rush Lindbaugh.
They're all saying on the other side of the glass, what the hell is he talking about?
It's enough that I know.
Telephone number is 800-282-2882, the email address, lrushbo, EIBnet.com.
John Boehner.
John Boehner says that by the end of the month, more Americans will have lost their insurance by being kicked off existing plans than the number who were able to sign up at one of the flawed healthcare.gov websites.
And the early numbers may back him up, it says here in the drive-by media.
Kaiser Health News reported this week that hundreds of thousands of Americans, let me say, hundreds of thousands have received notices from their insurers canceling their policies.
300,000 from Florida Blue, 160,000 from Kaiser Permanente in California.
One industry analyst told Kaiser Health News that the moves may be a way of insurers ridding their own roles of costly consumers they don't want and pushing those people onto the Federal Health Agency.
Once again, everything, this is so frustrating.
I cannot tell you how everything that we predicted, folks, is panning out.
Every bad aspect of this is happening.
This is classic.
Just almost a half a million people, two companies have been tossed aside because their policies are not favorable to the insurance companies.
And the insurance companies have a place to send them Obamacare.
Except there's nothing at Obamacare to sign up for.
The thing is, this is by design.
This is what really, really frosts me.
All of this, and we talked about it with Vice President Cheney.
What we are watching is the dismantling of the U.S. healthcare system.
We're watching the dismantling of the insurance part of it.
We're watching the dismantling of the treatment, the actual health care part of it.
We hear horror stories every week about what is happening in pharmacies.
Who knows what's going on at actual pharmaceutical companies in R ⁇ D, but they are at the top of the enemies list as far as the Democrat Party is concerned.
But virtually every aspect of the healthcare system, when the Cleveland clinic is laying off tens of thousands of employees, the premier heart clinic and institute in the country, this is not an accident.
It's not because of the incompetence of liberalism, although it could be.
I mean, it could happen because of that.
But this is purposeful.
I don't know that that's persuasive, though, to tell people that.
How many low-information voters will believe that?
But it happens to be the truth.
And right here, forget for a moment that I predicted it.
That is frustrating.
But just look at the facts here.
In two companies, 460,000 people are losing their health insurance ever since Obamacare passed.
Now, what were people told about Obamacare?
I want to take you back to my first hour monologue, an in-depth, well-thought-out, mature, conceived monologue about the web of deceit this all is, how everybody involved in this, including Obama's insurance partners, were lied to about every aspect of this.
People were told that their insurance would be easier.
Pre-existing condition, you name it.
If you want it, you get it.
No way you can't get it.
They can't deny it to you.
Really?
It's going to be cheaper, $2,500.
Keep your doctor.
I mean, the lies, the deceit just mount up and pile up.
And the exact opposite's happening.
It's not cheaper.
You don't get to keep your doctor.
And now your insurance company is tossing you aside.
All because of Obamacare.
Because of it.
Because it exists.
This is happening.
And they don't care.
I don't care what anybody said.
They don't care.
What they care about is that they are embarrassed.
They're the best and the brightest.
They're the smartest.
They know best.
And they haven't got a slightest idea how to make this work.
I'm talking about their website.
I just saw Gretchen Carlson on Fox talk about, oh, it's got to be the toughest job in the world for Jay Carney to have.
She's being polite.
Jay Carney can't answer the questions he's being.
He walked out on an African-American journalist yesterday.
You know, if a female African-American asked him, he just walked out of the briefing room and said, the hell with this.
He doesn't have the answers.
He's said already a hundred times, go talk to him at HHS.
So the journalists dutifully go over to HHS with their questions, and HHS reverses them to healthcare.gov, where they promptly get shut down because nobody can get in.
And then Obama's conducting his rose garden ceremony where everything appears to be hunky-dory.
We just need a little tech surge.
Well, the tech experts are saying there's no such thing as a tech surge.
It's just, damn it, folks, I can't tell you.
It's so unnecessary.
And everything.
Have you ever had kids and you told them and you told them and you told them and they did it anyway?
And you ask, why in the hell didn't they listen?
I know you have.
Isn't that every parent's lament?
Well, maybe not Dawn's, her parents.
Her kids do everything she says.
But most parents, isn't that the parents' lament?
That's what I feel like here.
Everything predicted.
Now, this insurance companies canceling people because there's the exchange over there.
See you later.
That's where you should go.
And that's by design.
And as the private sector insurance companies cancel their bad policies, they're canceling customers and they're going to pretty soon they'll be canceling themselves out of business.
Now, this next, this is in the CNN website, not the cable network.
Right here, my formerly nicotine-stained fingers.
To fix Obamacare website, blow it up.
Start over CNN.
Again, not the network, but their website.
Experts say the major problems.
What is this?
Detroit's attorneys try to prove Citi is bankrupt.
Really?
That takes lawyers to prove that?
What is this?
Detroit's attorneys try to prove Citi is bankrupt.
It's Twilight Zone every day here.
Experts say the major problems with the Obamacare website cannot reasonably be solved before the end of this year.
The best fix would be to just start over from scratch.
After assessing the website, Dave Kennedy, the CEO of information security company Trusted Sec, estimates that about 20% of healthcare.gov needs to be rewritten with a whopping 500 million lines of code.
Kennedy believes fixing the site would probably take six months to a year.
This is after we have spent half a billion dollars on this thing, and all that's happened is they have made it worse.
And now, CNN, no doubt trying to help, has found some experts who say the whole thing just needs to be taken out, thrown out, and rebuilt from scratch.
In addition, the existing code is riddled with security holes, which is why corporate reports say stay away.
Those breaches will result in one of the biggest breaches of security in American history.
They don't think this thing can be fixed.
Here, let's keep Kathleen's ability to cut five last night.
CNN with Sanjay Gupta, the doctor.
Gupta said to her, the president did say he was angry about this.
I mean, do you know when he first knew there was a problem?
Now, stop and think of that question.
When did Steve Jobs know that there might have been a problem with the eye watch?
What do you mean, when did Obama know?
And here's what she said.
Well, I think it became clear fairly early on, the first couple of days, that.
So, not before that, though.
Not before October 1st.
There was no concern at that point in the White House or at HHS.
I think that we talked about having testing going forward.
And if we had an ideal situation and could have built a product in, you know, a five-year period of time, we probably would have taken five years.
I'm sorry.
This can't be happening to us.
So the president knew nothing of the problems until the first day.
And if they had five years, they could have gotten it right.
And I, again, I hearken back to where are all these people inspired by Obama who want to make him look good, who want to get this done right for the big guy?
Not to mention the country.
I mean, he didn't know?
That's not possible.
It's not possible.
If he didn't know, then he didn't care to know.
If he didn't know, people were afraid to tell him what the truth was.
But I just can't accept any.
And if it was going to take five years, why did they say it could be done in three?
Okay, so let's delay it by five years then.
That's the solution here.
She said they need another five years.
You got it.
We'll go back to the way it was.
And now, oh, yeah, did you see that?
The Baltimore Ravens are going to be paid $130,000 to promote Obamacare at MT Bank Stadium, or I think that's the name of their place.
One more here from Sebelius.
Sanjay Gupta finally says, What about tech people?
We hear the best and the brightest.
Are there people or companies that we're going to recognize?
Can you give us some names?
We've asked all of our contractors to look at their teams on the ground and bring in their absolute A-team.
And I am confident that that is happening every day.
Well, we also, the presidential electoral.
The contractors didn't do such a great job so far.
Why didn't they bring their A-team in in the first place?
I can't tell you.
Why are we saying three weeks now, bring your A-team into this whole equation?
We have hoped that they had their A-team on the table, but I am talking to CEOs and urging them to make sure that we have the talent that they have available.
What?
Folks, do you realize the level, the level of abject stupidity that we're hearing here?
Not just ignorance in this case.
This is abject stupidity.
I'm going to bring in the absolute A-team.
I ordered it done.
I'm confident it's happening every day.
Well, the contractors didn't do such a great job.
Well, why didn't you bring the A-team in the first place?
I can't tell you that.
Limbaugh Theorem.
Hey, we're as upset about this as you are, Dr. Gupta.
We don't know how this happened.
We're trying to find out who's to blame for this.
And when we find out, we're going to punish them.
We had nothing to do with this.
What are you asking us this for?
Well, it's your website.
Well, that doesn't matter.
Why are you saying in three weeks you bring your A-team into this?
Well, we hoped that they had their A-team on it.
Who is they?
It's you.
And what is this about?
I'm talking to CEOs and urging them to make sure that we have the talent.
What are you raving?
Corporate America now?
Are you calling CEOs and threatening them and having them send their best people to you?
This isn't, it's an utter embarrassment.
I have never thought this woman was qualified.
I just, this, this just, and here, one more, and I got to go take a break.
This is this Sheila Jackson Lee, who thinks that we landed on Mars and it planted a flag there.
She was on CNN with Carol Costello this morning talking about Sebelius saying that Obama didn't know about the problems with the website at first.
And this is Costello's question.
We'll have Sheila Jackson Lee's stab at an answer next.
Kathleen Sebelius told our Sanjay Gupta that President Obama did not know about problems until a few days into the launch.
How can that be?
If I was responsible for putting my boss's signature program online and I didn't tell him that there were major problems and I left him in the dark, my boss would be really angry at me.
He may even fire me.
You never want to put your boss in that light, do you?
And then Sheila Jackson Lee, again, being asked, how in the world is it possible Obama didn't know about this until after it launched?
You're absolutely right.
And President Obama was mad as he could possibly be.
And I would imagine that the thought processes, right or wrong, was we can fix this for the boss.
We're going to get this right.
The boss is focused on the threats of the government being shut down.
As you well know, the government started being shut down between September 30th and October 1st.
The boss has a lot of other issues.
I don't think it was in any way a hide-and-seek game.
Madam Congresswoman, this has been three years that you've been working on this.
You're trying to tell us that over 24 hours of the shut they just insult our intelligence with this.
Folks, we're living the movie idiocracy.
We're living it.
We're in the middle of it.
We're just in the middle of it.
I got to take a break.
Sit back and be back.
We're back.
El Rushball, half my brain tied behind my back just to make it fair.
Here's the story of the Global Warming Policy Foundation.
The world invested almost a billion dollars a day in limiting global warming last year.
The total figure was $359 billion, slightly down on last year, barely half the $700 billion per year that the World Economic Forum has said is needed to tackle climate change.
Now, this is good money being thrown away on a hoax.
And it just illustrates why the hoax lives.
If governments are going to toss out $700 billion, you know there are going to be so-called scientists out there saying, I'll take it, I'll take it.
What do you want me to say?
I'll take it, I'll take it.
What do you want me to do right?
$700 billion to fight global warming?
There hasn't been any warming in 15 years.
These people are not happy.
You know, this is, I can't believe the tactics of these people.
Let's say that you've been part of the global warming hoax cabal, and you've been warning people, oh, it's going to get bad.
It's going to get really bad.
It's the worst thing.
We don't want this to happen.
It's going to cause this and that and all that.
And then it doesn't get warm.
And by the way, all that time, you're urging people to buy junk cars and junk lawnmows and junk this and get rid of this, get rid of that, start living a more simple lifestyle.
People do this, and it stops getting warmer.
And instead of claiming credit and being happy, you get mad because it's not getting warmer.
All that does is prove this is an agenda, a leftist agenda.
If it were a real scientific fear, global warming is bad.
It's happening.
We can't stop it.
But then it stops getting warmer.
Wouldn't that be good news?
Wouldn't you at least go out and try to claim credit for it?
Because more people are driving hybrids, hybrids, and more people are buying electricity, more people doing it.
Not known.
Now they're worried not enough money being spent.
What does it tell you?
It tells you it's a full-fledged left-wing agenda item, and it's losing money.
Two years ago, $700 billion donated.
Last year, $359 billion.
The fact it's becoming a hoax, the fact it is a hoax, is becoming now more people are aware of it.
And so it's actually, in one sense, a positive sign.
This is a story that troubles me.
AP, headline.
15% of U.S. young people are out of school and out of work.
6 million young people are neither in school nor working, according to a study released Monday.
That's almost 15% of those aged 16 to 24.
We're not talking teenagers here just specifically when you hear young people.
16 to 24, a lot of haskruel and college graduates in that group.
They neither have a job nor are they in school.
And, folks, there's nothing good that's going to come from that.
6 million young people with all that boundless energy and what used to be dreams in some cases and what used to be wild ambition is now what?
Dormant?
You have 6 million American kids idle, nowhere to go, nothing to do, missing out on experience that is essential to becoming solid human beings, good citizens.
Now, why are they in this?
Why are 6 million people idle aged 16 to 24?
15%.
I'll tell you why.
It's the Obama economy.
There are no jobs for them.
Pure and simple.
Most of these kids should be in school and working a part-time job.
And most of this activity or lack of it actually is in the largest cities, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Miami, Philadelphia, New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Riverside, California.
All of those cities have more than 100,000 idle youth.
Who do I suppose the youths voted for?
Well, I would assume that if they voted, obviously the Utes voted for Obama.
I don't know that they're bothered by it.
You know, I don't know if they're that worried about it.
Ladies and gentlemen, our morning update today dealt with a Wall Street Journal story, which says that business is frustrated with the Republicans.
Now, the Republicans are historically longtime allies, political allies of business.
The Wall Street Journal reporter Laura Meckler said that she interviewed executives of small, medium, and large businesses, and they're all moderate.
And they're all dismayed that some Republicans didn't heed their warnings that closing the government and risking default would hurt the economy.
To this group of moderate businessmen that she found that she claims is now representative of the whole lot, Obama's non-negotiation stance and Harry Reed's ignoring every proposal that the House made had nothing to do with the shutdown.
It was all a Republican's fault.
Things are so bad, she said in her story, Ms. Mechler, that the Chamber of Commerce is thinking of taking sides in the primaries.
They want to throw out Tea Party conservatives and replace them with more business-friendly pragmatists who, and here we get to the crux of the matter, would also be friendly to immigration reform, i.e., amnesty, which is the real news of the story.
Okay, so that was the morning update today.
Next story.
This is from the Washington Bureau of the Chief of the Hell, I don't know what it's, it's, it's, I don't know what this is.
It's a different source, though, and it's the same story.
And this is the other, Democrats tell business we stood with you on the shutdown and the dead ceiling.
So while the journal has this story about how big business is really ticked off at Republicans because the Tea Party, the Democrats see that, and they're moving in and they're promising a new alliance with big business.
And they're moving in on the Chamber of Commerce.
It was House Democrats who worked with business leaders to reopen the government and meet our obligations.
It was House Republicans who turned their backs on business in favor of the radical demands of the Tea Party.
That is a quote from a Democrat congressional campaign committee letter that's gone out.
While the Chamber will support some Democrats in next year's congressional elections, it wants the House to remain under Republican control.
On behalf of the American business community, given a choice, I would not like to see this administration with the White House, Senate, and the House, said the Chamber of Commerce Head Honcho.
The Democrats are making a move on big business, claiming that they are more friendly based on immigration.
I'm just going to tell you, the reason I'm mentioning this to you is because this is going to stoke the Republican establishment even more on going after the Tea Party.
Look what you're doing now, Cruz, Lee.
Look what you're doing now.
Now you're sending a chamber to the Democrats.
Oh, my God, this is the worst thing going to happen.
We were going to nail them.
We're going to lock him in with amnesty, and now you've blown that up.
While Obamacare is over here falling apart by day, exactly what Cheney was talking about, there's internet war he doesn't like.
Another story that D.C., this is from a website called Yellow Hammer.
And it is a news site that concentrates on Alabama political news.
It's a bird, but they have come across a tidbit that makes total sense.
The D.C. political class thinks it's time to take a bite out of Apple.
People are really ticked off at Apple because they don't have a PAC.
They don't spend lobbying money.
They don't have anybody interacting with K-Street.
And they are going to be targeted.
I mean, this story lays out in great detail what really an extortion town Washington can be.
You want the Justice Department to lay off, pay up.
You don't want a class action suit or a Microsoft kind of treatment?
Pay up.
And Apple has, that was because of jobs.
They didn't want any part of it.
They don't want any political identity and so forth, not directly linked to the business.
And now they're going to pay.
Since they're now reporting major profits and so forth, it's just an extortion town.
Hi, welcome back.
Rush Limbaugh, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have.
All right, folks, I have come to a conclusion, sad though it may be, I don't think any of this is unknown.
This website, I don't think there's any surprise.
I don't think anybody's shocked, including Obama.
I know this business, and he didn't know about this until the day after or whatever.
All of that is a crock, and it's so simple.
Obama knew this was a disaster.
And you know how we know he knew?
Because he granted 2,500 waivers to friends.
He granted people exemptions.
He gave enough waivers to big business people and anybody else he needed on board for this.
He gave them an out.
People have been demanding an individual waiver for weeks, well before October 1st.
And Obama has steadfastly refused.
He knew they're just flat out lying about this.
This is nothing more than a huge, intricately woven web of deceit that they're trying to pass off as well-intentioned incompetence.
They are lying through their teeth about this, and there is no other possibility.
Steve in Moments, Illinois, I've got about a minute.
You've been waiting.
I wanted to get to you.
Hello.
Hey, Rush, third-time caller and long-time student of the Limbaugh Institute.
Thank you, sir.
I have, I believe, what's a perfect solution for the Obamacare website.
We simply have NSA take it over because they collect and store information better than anybody.
And in all likelihood, nobody would really have to sign up since they already have the information.
They could just notify you what your new program is going to be.
You know, that is an interesting thing.
I heard, damn it, I can't remember.
There was something that happened this morning.
You have reminded me of something that I can't fully remember that would say the opposite.
Something that happened that if the NSA was on the ball wouldn't have.
I get the point you're trying to make.
Why are we going there?
They've already got everybody's information.
Just get everybody's data from the NSA.
I'm not sure that they do, is the point.
But I get your point.
I'm glad you waited, Steve.
Thanks much.
Brief break here, folks.
Back after this.
All right.
All right.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay, folks.
