All right, what's happening on CNN right now is classic.
They're rerunning their Rubio interview, and they've got this Chiron graphic at the bottom of the screen, which it's not up there now, but moments ago during a top of the hour break.
Their Chiron graphic, which they've had up most of the day today, Senate bill would build a 700 mile fence on the border.
Now, for those of you just joining us who happen to miss the first hour of the program today.com later and relive the first hour.
I can't take all of that time to repeat it, but let me just think about this.
We already have a law to build a fence on the border, 700 mile fence.
The bill was passed in 2006, ladies and gentlemen.
Thirty-six miles of the fence have been built.
And just stopped.
It was deemed to be too offensive.
It just didn't like the way it looked.
I mean, we'd build fences and keep people out.
That's not who we are.
What kind of message are we Republicans sending to build a fence?
They stopped building it.
There have been two amendments.
Well, at least one, I think two, just in the last month.
Two amendments, the Gang of Eight immigration bill to finish the fence.
Both amendments have been voted down.
There is no intention to build a fence, and CNN knows it.
Besides that, despite this massive new amendment today that's being offered, the the Corker Cover Hover, what I don't I just don't remember his name, and I'm don't have it in front of me, and I'm not trying to be funny.
I just don't remember it.
Anyway, the Senate amendment everybody's talking about doesn't change the order, doesn't change the sequence.
The illegals that are here still get legalized first, and then goals for border security kick in.
Not objectives, not requirements, not mandates, but goals.
So the trigger in the in the amendment says, in essence, that the fence that was to be built starting in 2006 will now be built after we have legalized the 11 million people currently here in the shadows.
This is about the sequence of things.
Now we were told at the beginning of this that there wouldn't be any legalization until the border was secured.
And it was on that basis that the bill got a lot of support.
On that basis, the gang of gang of eight bill got a lot of support and people like you and me.
And then at some point during the process, we were told, no, no, no, no, you misunderstood.
We're gonna have to legalize first and then do the border, because we can't know we've got to know who's here first.
We've got to know what we're dealing with before we secure the border.
So this amendment today does not build a fence.
This amendment today does not do anything about border security.
What this amendment does is legalize the 11 million here first and then suggests objectives or goals.
That's all it does.
There's and and what the purpose of this bill today is, folks, is to attract Republican votes on the fence.
That's the purpose of the amendment today.
And I'm just here to tell you, do not give this up.
They don't have the votes.
If they had the votes, Dingy Harry would have called the vote.
They don't have them.
I don't think they've got 60 right now.
I think, and and there has been a sense of panic in the last 12, 24 hours.
You had Ted Cruz calling here, he had a massive Tea Party rally in Washington yesterday against immigration.
He had more people show up, and I'm gonna make sure we have this in proper perspective.
We had thousands more people, more than twice as many showed up in Washington yesterday to oppose the gang of eight bill than showed up in Germany to hear Obama.
By the way, and I heard that number was 6,000.
I saw a picture.
There was no way there were 6,000 people there.
They barely had a full house or minor league hockey game.
So they've revised the number down to 4500 at the Obama speech at the Brandenburg Gate.
I haven't had a chance to get to it today, but the international media is really coming down hard on our president.
They're really apparently one of the one of the uh chancellors, one of the ministers, the European Union's name is Osborne, and Obama kept calling him Jeffrey in speeches, kept referring Jeffrey Osborne.
Jeffrey's a famous RB singer.
His name is George Osborne.
And Obama, two or three, maybe four times kept calling him Jeffrey Osborne.
And this guy was really bugged by it.
He's admitted that he was offended by it.
If we get the president of the United States who was continually, repeatingly mispronouncing this guy's name.
Or not mispronouncing it, gets getting it wrong.
Now, Jeffrey Osborne was a great RB singer, but he ain't a minister or a chancellor at the European Union.
That would be George Osborne.
And Obama got his name wrong.
Now I want to wrap up here.
The Invest Investors Business Daily, this story, it's actually editorial.
It's written by Betsy McCoy.
And I I have folks, what's what's happening with these health care exchanges?
Again, we're going to link to this Investors Business Daily editorial at Rushlimbaugh.com, and it's going to be in our rush in a hurry.
You know what?
I don't pitch this enough, but I really should.
We have an email alert that we send out within a half hour of every program, and it's free.
All you have to do is go to our website and sign up for it.
And there are no strings attached to it.
Now it does have banner advertising in it, but there are no strings.
You don't have to sign up for anything else.
It's called Rush in a Hurry, and it is a summary with some transcripts and some audio.
And it has links to the big, the full website with full details on everything.
But it is it is a great comprehensive summary of the highlights, which is everything that happened on this program every day.
And you can get it too.
So when I sit here and tell you, well, you don't want to miss this IBD editorial.
If you're subscriber to Rush in a Hurry, it automatically comes to whatever email address you submit, and the link to it will be right there about 30 minutes after the program.
Now we are able to update our website on the fly now because of uh advancements in in website technology.
We used to have to wait till 6 o'clock Eastern time every day to have the whole site up.
We had to do it all at once and then go live with it.
But now we can implement it, supplement it as we go and update it as we go.
So the Rush in a hurry is an absolutely great way.
If you haven't had a chance to listen to the program on a particular day, you get the rush in a hurry, two things are going to happen.
You're going to know what happened, you're going to wish that you had been near a radio.
But it is really, well, then it's done with HTML graphics.
Email.
It is a miniature website into of itself into itself in an email.
And all you have to do to get it is go to Rushlimbaugh.com and sign up for Rush in a Hurry.
That's what it's called.
Now, the Investors Business Daily editorial written by Betsy McCoy details what the healthcare exchanges in Obamacare really are about.
And she focuses on California because they're getting 900 and 10 million dollars.
910 million dollars to set up the exchanges in California.
Now the exchanges, folks, are for one purpose, and that's for you to go get your health care insurance.
Every American, if you don't get your health care from your employer, you're gonna have to go to one of these exchanges to get it.
And it's a uh it's a marketplace, it's a clearinghouse, theoretically.
It's a catalog.
You go pick the policy that you want based on what you want to pay.
They're all gonna be expensive.
But it turns out these exchanges are just being used for Democrat Party outreach.
So I've detailed how.
The NAACP is getting 600,000 from the California Exchange.
The AFL CIO is getting one million.
The Service Employees International Union is getting two million.
And for what?
To go door to door to register voters, to show up at community centers and make presentations on the Democrat Party and sell the Democrat Party agenda.
A group called Community Health Councils, which is a California bunch that opposes fracking, opposes for-profit hospitals, opposes state budget cuts, opposes oil, got a million dollars to conduct presentations at community and neighborhood meetings.
California's actual enrollment process is also outsourced to employees of community organizations and unions and health clinics.
So when you show up to get your insurance at a California exchange, you might be dealing with somebody from the AFL CIO.
You might be dealing with somebody from the Service Employees International Union.
Planned Parenthood is trying to get in some of this money.
Planned Parenthood wants some exchange money to promote their cause, which is abortion.
It's another slush fund, folks.
The health care exchanges are slush funds, just like the stimulus bill was.com.
Uh Washington Examiner, the popularity of Obamacare has crashed to its lowest level in nearly two years, according to a Kaiser Family Foundation poll.
35% support Obamacare.
Kaiser's monthly tracking poll found just 35% have a favorable view of Obamacare being put into place on January 1st.
Forty-three percent view it unfavorably.
The favorability rating of Obamacare has been worse only once.
October 2011, it was at 34%.
So it's cading south.
Another story from Wall Street Journal, an Obamacare Board answerable to no one.
This is a story about the death panel.
A an Obamacare Board answerable to no one.
Story in the Wall Street Journal about the death panels.
It's a disaster.
Immigration reform, Obama immigrant.
It's a disaster.
This Obamacare is a disaster.
Folks, it's no other way to describe it.
Quick timeout.
We got much more, as always, and we'll be back and get right to it after this.
About these health care exchanges, let me present to you a picture.
Hypothetically, Obamacare is implemented, and along the way, guess what?
Amnesty happens.
The gang of aid bill is passed, and all of a sudden we've got 11 million people now that we're going to put on a pathway to citizenship.
And who's going to be in charge of it?
Obama, Democrat Party.
Pamphlets, ads on TV and publications, how to go to the pathway to see.
And the pathway to citizenship is going to take them right to a health care exchange.
They're Going to need health care.
They're going to be sent right to an exchange where they're going to be hit up by unions to become Democrats.
That's the first thing that's going to happen to these illegals once we put them on the pathway, they're going to be met on the path by the nearest union worker with a Democrat voter registration form.
That's exactly how this is going to happen.

And let's see, what's our family foundation?
I should have put this stuff all at the bottom.
Experts are disputing the CBO report on immigration reform.
This is a uh it's a write-up on a discussion panel on the CBO report, Senate immigration bill, and it was held at the Heritage Foundation yesterday.
And it included Robert Rector and William Beach, and I've got some sound bites.
Rectors spoke to the big group, the 15,000 plus, who uh showed up to protest uh Obamacare and any number of other things, and he was great.
So we'll come back, get into some of those audio sound bites, the rest of the stack of stuff, and your phone calls all coming here as the Rush Limbaugh continues on the EIB network.
Okay, to the phones.
People have been waiting patiently.
We've only taken one call today.
And I figured out that if I don't take more calls, the callers are gonna hate me.
And then the callers hate me, they might stop calling.
And then they might stop listening.
So I gotta kick some calls.
Carla in Lima, Ohio.
I'm glad you waited.
I really am.
It's great to have you on the program.
Hi.
Thanks, Rush.
It's a privilege to have listened to you since the late 80s, and this is the second time I've ever been compelled to call.
Um the reason I'm calling today all this immigration stuff, I believe that our eye has been taken off the ball, and that the Latino and Hispanic uh population has become the poster children for this legislation.
I think it's been designed to cloak the fact that tens of thousands of illegals from around the world, not just these Latinos and Hispanics, come from many other countries, and they'll also be covered by this amnesty uh blanket.
And we continue to overlook that one huge factor.
My thought is that pre-9-11 had these people who had overstayed their visas been uh allowed to participate in one of these de facto amnesty programs, then the 9-11 hijackers, uh, for instance, would be American citizens.
And I just see a huge problem with that.
Um also think that Well, you know what?
Now, this is an interesting point because I I I think you've you're on to something.
The sympathy being dredged up for the put upon victimized and all but hated Hispanics is what's driving this.
But I have to tell you, folks, Carla's right, it doesn't matter.
I mean, these eleven million illegals, the assumption is that they're all Hispanics, but there are people from everywhere in that group.
And they enter the country from all kinds of places, not just the southern border.
And they are all going to be legalized.
She's right, there is an assumption that this is all about the politics of Hispanics.
Talk to anybody.
I mean, I I had a knockdown drag out at the cigar dinner with a Republican over this.
And it was all about how, you know, you you better understand Hispanics hate you and they're gonna keep hating you, and it's the Hispanic, and this and the person I was Having the knockdown drag out with verbally, of course, was Hispanic.
It is.
She's exactly right.
And of course, there are other immigrants to this country from all over the world who come in in different ways, seeking asylum at JFK, for example.
So it's a uh good point.
It illustrates the highly charged political nature of this and the use of victimology and the use of minorities and how they are oppressed by this evil, mean, rotten country.
And it's an attempt to play off the guilt of people, which is created manufactured guilt in order for the Democrats to advance their agenda.
I think it the the the safe to say a good majority of the eleven million are Hispanic, but not all.
She's got a good point.
James in Ripley, Ohio.
Welcome, sir.
Great to have you with us on the EIB network.
Hello.
Megadiddos Rush.
It's an honor and a privilege to speak to you.
Thank you.
Uh, yes.
Uh reason I was calling, uh well, first before I go into why I called, I want to thank you.
Uh I've been listening to you since September 11th, 2001.
Wow.
And uh yeah, the when the terrorist attack stuff was going on, I flipped over to an AM station and I ain't changed since.
Uh you've taught me a whole lot.
Uh I've always been politically aware, but I didn't understand it, and you've boy, you've really, really helped me, and I thank you.
I appreciate that.
What'd you what do you mean you you always knew what you knew and believe what you believed, but you didn't quite know why, and now you do.
Correct.
That I I'm I used to watch the Sunday shows and I'd scratch my head, and one one guy makes perfect sense and the other guy's an idiot, and yet they give the idiot all the credibility, and uh but anyway, you've helped me uh so much, and I I I can't thank you enough.
Thank you, sir.
I appreciate that.
Uh the uh reason I was calling is you predicted exactly what's going on today, probably ten years ago, eight years ago, when you said that if the Democrats ever get control again, they will make certain that the Republicans never get control again.
I did say that.
That was after a particularly shocking loss for the Democrats, and they hated it.
They thought you know what it was?
It was the 2002.
I remember exactly, James, a year after you started listing.
It was a 2002 midterms.
Now, traditionally, the sitting party, the presidential party loses seats in the first midterm election after a presidential election, but the Republicans won and one big was after the Wellstone Memorial.
And the Democrats were fit to be tied, and I told people then if they ever win again, they're gonna make sure this doesn't happen.
If they ever win again, they're gonna put in place policies to make sure they never ever lose.
Well, you got a great memory.
I had forgotten my own prediction.
Well, uh, I didn't doubt you then.
I don't doubt you now, but I think what's amazing is to the degree that the the number of levels for which uh, you know, the the they go against the American people and and how they've got it to where uh let me tell you something.
James, they're using every bureaucracy in this government to build the foundation for permanent one-party control.
They're using every bureaucratic agency they can.
They're using every piece of legislation that purpose of the stimulus, now purpose of Obamacare, per uh uh purpose of amnesty, permanent Democrat majority.
Absolutely.
Uh uh I don't know what to do about it.
Just hang on for the ride, I guess.
What to do about it?
Beat them.
Well, that's the right.
That's what's so frustrating about the Republicans.
You know, the purpose is to beat them.
But I'll tell you what's happened.
I touched on this briefly earlier today.
It was always assumed that big corporations were always going to align themselves with uh the more conservative of the two parties, which always has traditionally been the Republican Party, because big Business is the essence of capitalism.
They don't want socialism and they want no government regulation.
They want government out of the way, but that has undergone a tremendous transformation.
Big corporations, they did okay with Bush, but they are a lot of big corporations are making out like bandits under Obama.
Now, folks, I don't want to be misunderstood.
I'm a capitalist.
Don't get me wrong, but look at all the bailouts that have taken place.
Part of capitalism is when something fails, it fails.
When an investment doesn't work, it doesn't work.
You don't bail people because you can't bail out everybody.
And once you start picking people you're bailing out, then you've got crony capitalism, and that ain't good.
And what we have now, you have you have these various bailouts, you have government funding, chosen industries which can't make it on their own, and often can't even make it with government help.
All the cylinders, for example.
And right now the electric cars, but I don't mean to harp on them, but you take your pick.
Industries that can't make it, and therefore shouldn't.
The market will always tell you the truth about things.
Industries that shouldn't make it then get propped up.
That is not capitalism, and it's artificial.
It isn't real.
And then their winners and losers are being picked by the government, and you no longer have capitalism, and you no longer have free markets.
And now there are corporate entities who care about immigration for one reason only.
Cheap labor.
What happens if the country couldn't care less?
They're citizens of the world.
They're gonna have customers wherever.
So they're not they're not ideologically sympathetic any longer.
So, folks, I think we we we have to admit here that despite all the talk about the middle class and class warfare, big government crony capitalism, crony socialism seems to be the objective of both parties now.
Seems to me that one of the big changes is that the Republicans want to get in on this.
They want to get in on these government private business partnerships or alignments like GE agrees to go all green and advance an Obama political agenda in exchange for a bunch of federal money to do it.
Why wouldn't the CEO take it?
Doesn't cost him any of his money.
He's not paying federal income tax anyway, according to the latest news.
Brand new business to explore, brand new uh markets to develop, paid for by the U.S. taxpayer, not his own investment.
So you get in bed with the party in control, you get in bed with the president.
It doesn't matter, the guy's socialist, a communist, capitalist or whatever.
You get in bed with the guy who's got the key to the treasury, and you're off and running.
And you give that guy money to get elected and re-elected, that guy's gonna take care of you.
It used to be, and I can remember the days that big donors would give money and want ideas in exchange.
They would want ideological advancement in exchange.
Now you give money to have some of it sent back to you.
Or to get the government out of your way or off your back or some such thing.
Democrats have always been that way.
What's new is that the Republicans seem to be eager to get in this game.
You want another example of the kind of uh corporatist behavior.
I'm talking about crony socialism, crony capitalism, Obamacare.
What about he went to the hospitals and made them a promise?
You know, I uh I won't criticize you.
I won't rip you, I won't penalize you if you donate to the funding effort to produce and air commercials urging the passage of Obamacare.
What are the hospitals gonna do?
You got a community organizer calling and promising that he won't nuke you.
You take the insurance companies did the same thing.
So the insurance companies, to hell with whether or not Open Obamacare is socialist and is eventually going to be bad for the country to come.
No, no.
They found a way that we're going to make money or save money by being involved with the government.
They took it.
And it's happening more and more.
The difference is that there's there seem to be some Republicans that want to do this and get in on this now.
That's the difference to me, anyway.
Sadly, my friends, we're out of busy broadcast moments.
We're out of busy broadcast time on the EIB network.
Look for Rush in a hurry.
You know how to hit this more.
It is really functional.
It is the simple best way to summarize and relive something that happened and remember something that happened, and you get it at 3.30 or a half hour after the program each and every day.
And it's just, it's it's one of the best things that we do at rushlimbaugh.com.
And also on our website, 2FYT.com.
Don't forget, automatically edited in our latest sweepstakes to win a Jeep Patriot if you shop between 11 59 p.m.
