We uh we've been playing these sound bites in the IRS people all morning, and we've been talking about it, and we just had the IRS guy, Stephen Miller say, No, there's nothing wrong with targeting these groups, and no, there's nothing wrong with that.
And other would somebody tell me why in the world the guy is being fired?
Live from the Southern Command in Sunny South Florida.
It's open line Friday.
The guy didn't do anything wrong.
Obama calls a press conference, says this is unacceptable.
We're not gonna put up with this.
This is a bond pale.
Nobody's supposed to use these agencies like this.
These agencies are supposed to be above boardful integrity, not putting up with it.
I call my people, I said get rid of it.
The treasury guy called the guy, he's gone.
He's fired, he's leaving.
So the guy goes up and testifies today.
And he doesn't admit that anything that happened was wrong.
So why is he being fired?
He's not being fired.
The bottom line is he was leaving anyway.
He's just getting a little early dispatch, but he's not being fired.
And the babe who was in charge of all of this, going after these conservative groups, she was bonused.
To the tune of uh, I think over two or three bonus periods, 103,000.
I have since learned that you don't get bonus to that degree without a presidential approval.
The president has to sign off on bonuses of the size that she got.
This Jane Ingram or whatever name is, and her last name is Ingram.
So Obama can't sit there and say he didn't know.
He had to know.
She at least knew that she was doing work sufficiently good enough to warrant bonuses of, I think 100 to 8,000 total in over three different bonus periods that added up to 108 grand.
And again, the president has signed off on that.
So I'm really confused by all this.
Actually, I'm not confused at all.
The president doesn't think there was anything wrong.
He doesn't, he just knows that you do, so he's telling you he thinks there's something wrong with it.
He knows you're outraged, so he had to call a press conference, stop the bleeding.
Not a press conference, a press availability.
He shows up in the East Room, acts outraged, this is unacceptable, not gonna put up with this.
The guy in charge is gone, and we're gonna make sure it doesn't happen again.
The guy was leaving anyway.
No fine, no penalty.
The babe in charge is being promoted.
The same woman that ran the IRS during all this is now gonna be running the health care division of the IRS.
There's nothing that's happening.
These people are being rewarded, folks.
The people involved in targeting conservative groups are being rewarded, the IRS people.
And the guy claimed to be fired is not being.
He's just supposed to leave in early June.
He's leaving now, which is a couple of weeks early.
Big whoop.
And he doesn't think there's anything wrong.
So you're being played.
We're all being played.
Obama doesn't think anything was wrong.
The IRS guy Miller, he doesn't think anything was wrong.
Obama is just giving you what he thinks you want.
Hopefully you'll realize that the heavy hand of the authority came down, and these people have been ready to riot act, and this isn't gonna happen again, and we're off now to covering up Benghazi.
Actually, Obama's in Baltimore on the campaign trail, folks.
Here, grab somebody 26.
Barack Obama this afternoon in Baltimore at the Ellicott Dredges Company.
He's out campaigning.
Remember the limbaugh theorem.
It's a quick bite, it goes by in 11 seconds.
Our deficits are shrinking at the fastest rate in decades.
That's the truth.
That's worth the applause.
Sure.
Nobody.
One person applauded.
So the president, after all this, the middle of Benghazi, IRS, he's now in Baltimore.
Our deficits shrinking at the fastest rate in decades.
Oh, that's true.
Uh that's worth the post.
Go ahead.
Let it low.
Let it go.
And they all started applauding, but nobody applauded on their own.
Sound by 27, here is the exchange.
This is who they are, Tom Price.
Member of Congress, Republican Georgia.
This is the uh House Ways and Means Committee hearing on the IRS scandal.
They're talking to the outgoing commissioner, Steve Miller.
Question Do you believe that it is illegal for employees of the IRS to create lists to target individual groups and citizens in this country?
I think the Treasury Inspector General indicated that it might not be, but others will be able to tell that.
What do you believe?
I don't believe it is.
I don't believe it should happen.
Thank you, Mr. Chairman.
Please don't get me wrong.
It should not happen.
It shouldn't happen.
Don't get me wrong.
It's not illegal, though.
But it shouldn't happen.
Don't get me wrong.
It's not illegal, and I think that the Inspector General it's not illegal, but it shouldn't happen.
Thank you for that.
Shouldn't happen.
Well, it did happen.
And they'll get your medical records next, folks.
And all kinds of exciting things will then happen.
Oh, by the way, it's all welcome back.
Open line Friday, Rush Limbaugh fighting the ravages of the common cold virus here.
I totally forgot to introduce the hour.
Open line Friday, 800-282-2882, and we go to the phones, whatever you want to talk about.
Fine and dandy hunky dory.
I want to repeat this story again, given everything that's happening today.
It's from the Daily Caller.
The Department of Homeland Security, Under Secretary Janet Big Sis Napolitano, has shown a keen interest in monitoring and warning about outspoken conservatives.
Extreme right wingers, people who believe in God.
Gun nuts.
People that talk about the government.
Janet Napolitano has warned her department and the TSA and ICE and Border Patrol people be on the lookout for these domestic conservative groups.
They're extremists, and they're terrorist-oriented.
Be on the lookout.
But when it comes to...
Pro Sharia Muslim supremacists.
She's all over protecting them.
Janet Napolitano.
Actively working to shut us up.
But these true extremists are given every benefit of the First Amendment.
In a checklist obtained by the Daily Caller entitled Countering Violent Extremism Do's and Don'ts, the Department of Homeland Security's Office of Civil Rights, Civil Liberties notifies local and national law enforcement officials that it is Obama regime policy to consider specifically Islamic criticism of the American system of government legitimate.
It's okay, put up with it.
It's entirely legitimate.
If Islamist supremacists come to this country and criticize it, fine.
It's entirely legitimate.
Do you think any of these groups got yanked around by the IRS?
Do you think any Muslim groups applying for tax exempt status were given the runaround?
You think they were required to submit the contents of their prayers?
I don't think so.
House lawmakers, this is Reuters.
There's stuff going on, folks, while you're not looking.
This story is one of them.
House lawmakers reached tentative deal to revamp immigration.
Prospects for passage of a major immigration bill improved yesterday when a bipartisan group of lawmakers in the House declared they had reached a tentative deal, resolving disputes that had threatened a torpedo negotiations.
The breakthrough came at the end of a two-hour private meeting of seven Republican and Democrat negotiators.
The eighth negotiator in the so-called house gang of it was unavailable after undergoing surgery on Wednesday.
The final sticking point, according to congressional sources, was over whether illegal immigrants now in the country who gain legal status under the bill could participate in Obamacare.
So this is the Limbaugh theorem, Republican style.
Everybody thinks that Amnesty, gang of eight immigration bills, is going to die in the House.
It passed the Senate, but die in the House.
I'm one of them, by the way.
I'm I'm one of the people who believe Obama wants it to fail in the House so that he can use it as a campaign issue for the Democrats to win the House in 2014 and then have the House and Senate and the White House under his control, And then there's no stopping him.
The Republican push for amnesty has a lot in common with Obama's actions under the Limbaugh theorem.
I mean, uh look at a court, this is Reuters, so we have to allow that it's entirely wrong.
It's Reuters.
We have to allow that the purpose here could be to misreport on Republicans so that we get irritated at them, but the report is what it is.
And so if the report is true, what's happening here is that at least some Republicans in the House want amnesty to go through, but they have to pretend to oppose it to placate you, their base.
So, with all these Obama scandals distracting the public, they figure it's a good time to quietly push ahead with their own version of an omnesty bill, which I don't know, probably similar to the Senate bill.
I don't really know what the House bill's details are.
But under the one aspect of the House bill is that illegal aliens will have to wait an extra day longer to vote.
Oh, an extra day longer than in the Senate bill.
It's right here.
Yep, the final sticking point in the House negotiation over whether illegal immigrants who gain legal status under the bill could participate in Obamacare.
Which, frankly, folks, is laughable.
How will anyone be able to deny any legal American the right to Obamacare?
Once you put them on the path to citizenship, how can you deny him the right to vote?
Mr. Lumbault, the law is very clear on that.
They won't be able to vote for 13 years after being granted a pathway to thin.
Yeah, let me tell you Mr. Castradi how that works.
After they're put on this path to citizenship and can vote in 13 years, the next day, Chuck Schumer going to go to the microphone to start practically crying.
And how un-American it is that these people are now legal and can't vote.
And making them wait 13 years is just cruel.
And so the push will begin to allow them to vote the next day.
That's what's going to happen.
You know it as well as I know it.
The release of evidence in George Zimmerman's murder trial quickly made a mockery of the second-degree murder charges he faces, threw a further layer of shame upon media and political opportunists who misrepresented a tragic but fairly straightforward case of lethal force employed in self-defense.
This is uh story from the Human Events blog.
And basically, it is saying that the state has released its evidence against George Zimmerman, and there's no case.
The Trayvon Martin, there's no evidence against Zimmerman.
I mean, there's no evidence to convict, really.
It is remarkable, it says here.
It is remarkable to take stock of this evidence and realize that the evidence supports every single aspect of Zimmerman's statements to the police.
Zimmerman's injuries are consistent with his account of physical assault by Trayvon Martin.
Martin's gunshot wound occurred at the very Short range described by Zimmerman, demolishing fantasies about a racist mall cop wannabe stalking and murdering an innocent black kid for no reason.
That was the story.
Travon Martin minding his own business, walking to the neighborhood, racist cop sees him, shoots him from a long distance, fakes everything else about a fight and self-defense.
Turns out Zemmerman's story has been confirmed.
The smoking gun website highlighted this bit of eyewitness testimony, which was tendered to the police only 90 minutes after the shooting occurred by a resident of Zimmerman's community.
At any rate, Professor Dershowitz, the distinguished and esteemed law professor from Harvard.
He points out the evidence released in this case means that Florida's stand-your-ground law isn't even a factor in Zimmerman's defense.
Dershowitz also mentions a suspicion that their charges are a political instrument designed to buy time for everybody to cool down, leading to a long trial that dismantles some of the hysteria built up.
Dershowitz say, you know what?
They had a powder keg.
So they came up with all these charges just to delay everything to cool off, knowing full well that when the time came, Zimmerman would be exonerated and so forth.
But they didn't account for the fact that Zimmerman's life and reputation family are constantly under assault and maybe destroy in the interim.
Stephen Hayes, weekly standard, what about the video?
The White House last week released nearly 100 pages of emails detailing some of the discussions within the regime that resulted in major revisions to talking points about the Benghazi attacks that were drafted by the CIA.
From the beginning, there have been two big questions about the regime's deceptive spin on Benghazi.
How were the talking points whittled down to virtually nothing from the CIA's original draft?
And how the hell did a an obscure YouTube video gain such prominence in the regime's explanation of what happened in Benghazi?
The emails fill in at least some of the details about the talking points, but they're nothing in there about the video.
In all of those emails released, there's not a single reference to the video.
I hope your memory's good.
I explained the video and how it came to be and how I missed it earlier this week.
I've got to take a timeout now, though.
We'll be back and resume after this.
Larry in St. Louis.
You're next as we head back to the phones on Open Line Friday.
Hi.
Lair, are you there?
What from what you're talking about that I've got three targets painted on me.
I'm a conservative.
I just started a small business, and the small business is oriented around defending against what the uh Islamic jihadists uh want to do, uh, EMP attack.
So my gosh.
How do you get up every day?
Yeah, I figure that the IRS is going to have me right in the crosshairs.
But um, what I wanted to talk about is the uh robot economy.
We're only a couple of years away from uh the introduction of uh human-shaped uh robots that can use human tools.
Uh eventually they'll be self-repairing and self-replicating, and they'll be able to work tirelessly 24-7.
What are they going to build?
Uh well, basically, they're going to be taking over the low-level jobs, uh, the ones that the so-called illegal immigrants are doing now.
Uh, and that's going to make it have a profound.
Well, in that way, I hold it a minute.
Hold hold hold it.
I I don't want to you've got to tell me what jobs the robots are going to do.
I don't want to these are human-shaped, so they can do any job that a human being can do.
They have a you know, two arms and two legs, and they're what they call general purpose robots.
And they'll be able to be trained to do like field work, for instance, you know, a lot of the illegal immigrants work in uh in agriculture and uh, you know, uh bring in crops and so forth.
They'll be able to do that.
They'll be able to do the low-level, you know, repetitive manufacturing type jobs, and so forth.
And what'll happen is that uh, you know, all these jobs that the illegals are presently doing will go away because in the long run, even though the initial outlays more expensive, the robot doesn't require health insurance, it doesn't require benefits, doesn't require salary, works 24-7, and once they become self-rep repairing, it doesn't require any maintenance either.
So what you what I'm hearing here is that robots can pick crops, robots can offer medical assistance, they can do nurse work, they can be butlers.
Um that folks, this is interesting.
All right, this robot business.
This robot business, folks, is wider spread than you know.
In Europe, for example, uh, a lot of crops are picked by machine.
Now, I don't know if if they're actual the the human robot, the previous caller described, but there are farmers here in the United States who claim that the machinery that could be used to pick crops is being kept out.
They're being denied usage in order to keep up the flow of migrant workers, illegal migrant workers.
Folks, look, both political parties want those workers.
Pretty much safe to say.
The Democrats especially want those.
They know they're their voters, and the Republicans think they're not going to be able to stop it, so we may as well be friendly to them and see if we can convince them down the road to vote for us.
Actual robots are being used in China.
Now, let me tell you about the iPhone.
The number one manufacturing plant for the iPhone and a number of other Apple products is giant outfit called FoxCon.
Its actual name is the Han High Precision, and they're out of Taiwan, but they've got offices all over factories.
They got factories that employ 250,000 people.
Uh some larger than that.
In Shenzhen, uh they're all over the place.
In fact, whole cities.
In fact, these factories are being built in the country to keep people there so they don't flood Chicom cities.
The ChICOM government is desperate to keep people in the countryside out of their cities.
The cities are already overpopulated.
They've already got problems controlling them.
So they're working with outfits like uh like Foxconn and others to build these factories out in hinterlands and they build up cities around them.
And the FoxCon chairman has talked about in the past uh using robots.
And there are some that are online now, but they're nowhere near as many as he forecasts would be up and running now.
They're running behind on it.
But it is coming.
It is something, I mean, you can laugh about it, but there are legitimate human-like robots.
I mean, they're not they're they're they're they're not like Star Trek robots, but but they do human things, and some of them are manufactured to bear a resemblance to uh to humans.
Now, what's going to happen here if there ever is an opening for these robots to be used, I guarantee you the Democrats are gonna demand that they have a right to vote before they're allowed to be used to do work.
And family leave and all that.
I mean, the Democrats are going to assign all of these policies to the robots that they assign.
They can't afford for robots to take over the role of the permanent underclass.
The Democrat Party simply can't survive without a permanent underclass.
So it's gonna be the Democrat Party that stands in the way of these robots.
If indeed the robots are going to do entry-level or mundane things, as the caller suggested.
But you keep a sharp eye because this is something that is further along the track than uh than many people may know.
It's not something being widely reported on.
You've got to read tech publications and blogs to hear about it.
Some now, in the locations Where the robots are being built and where people want to use them, it is making mainstream media in those places.
But I mean, you're not seeing stuff on it on Fox yet, but just be forewarned and keep a sharp eye.
It is happening.
And actual robots are being used in China and Japan.
The Chicoms are trying to speed up the uh the usage.
Because you don't have to pay them yet.
You know, wait till Service Employees International Union gets hold of them, but up till now they're not unionized.
The robots aren't.
David Export Pennsylvania.
Welcome to the EIB network.
Hi.
Major Ziddos from Western Pennsylvania and formerly Stockton Cauliflower.
Hi, Rush.
By the way, uh, we already have robots.
Simply an acronym for progressive liberals.
They're everywhere.
My question to you, Rush, is w uh hopefully you'll expand on this is why is it seemingly so much energies are being spent trying to uncover the Benghazi uh uncover the uncover the cover-up of the Benghazi affair.
Um what will it prove?
They lied about a video.
Oh, gee, whiz.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
Jeez.
Hold it just a second.
I'm not sure I understand your question.
I mean, so much energy are being so much.
Energy by who?
Energy by who?
Republicans, media.
Congress, seemingly, all these questions are are being directed about the cover-up.
Well, why are we doing that?
Shouldn't we be going after the initial causes, what led to this in the first place?
Isn't that where the true culpability is?
Well, that's why.
The cover-up is an attempt to cover up why the right thing wasn't done.
And you've got to peel that it's a deflection, Rush.
It's a deflection.
I mean it's a well-concocted deflection.
It's the cover-up of a stupid video.
What does that prove?
It doesn't prove a darn thing.
Whereas if we if we uncover Okay, then tell us how to do it.
Well, if we go after what happened in the first place, what happened before the attacks, what the the neglect of responsibility, if that if they go after that, it'll prove why the cover-up even took place in the first place.
But if you prove why there was a cover-up, what does that prove?
Nothing.
That's my opinion.
And I was hoping you would elaborate on that.
Well, I you can't you can't get to what's being covered up until you dispatch with the cover-up.
I know what you're saying.
You think the regime is very cleverly and craftily focusing everybody on the cover up to hide what really happened, and then once they unravel the cover up, they'll stop going any further because they think they'll have had success in establishing that the Obama administration covered something up.
The cover-up was done for the same reason that there was no security before the attack, and that was to help Obama get re-elected.
Everything was about Obama getting re-elected.
The cover-up, the fact that there's no security are one and the same, if you ask me.
The reason there was no security was to make sure that there was no what that they were trying to prevent what happened.
They thought they're liberals, remember.
Let's go back to the beginning.
What really started this.
We've got to go back to Cairo.
We know pretty much what happened here.
The embassy, the State Department Embassy, issues an apology on the early afternoon of 9-11, 2012, before anything has happened.
Nothing has happened.
That apology apologizes for a video.
Incidentally.
Two days prior to 9-12, 2012, the grand mufti of Egypt was rabble rousing in a mosque.
And he happened to incidentally mention a video that had been produced that he had seen that made him mad.
It was a casual, almost throw away portion of his main rabble rousing.
The embassy, we were told it was a rogue employee who simply was overzealous and trying to prevent a protest.
That's not at all.
The regime, the Obama administration, knew there was going to be a protest.
They apologized for it for themselves and at video in advance, hoping to stop it.
They believed if they just showed contrition, and they were nice people that the protest wouldn't happen.
The Obama administration did not want a protest.
They didn't want an attack.
The Obama administration's running for re-election.
The Obama administration has told everybody that Al-Qaeda's on the run.
Bin Laden is dead.
Obama has effectively beaten terrorism in the country's loved again.
They don't want any evidence to the contrary.
So they apologize in advance before anything has happened.
Romney goes out, makes a statement, a presidential statement, condemning this apology.
Why are we apologizing for our country again?
We haven't done anything.
The media then immediately launched into Romney and how unpresidential and how uncalled for it was and how presumptuous it was.
Romney's not president.
He's just a stupid feeble little candidate.
Who the hell does he think he is?
Then all hell broke loose in Cairo, and you had the protesters saying we're all Osama's Obama.
Well, then Benghazi happened, a planned coordinated terror attack, which they all knew.
We know everything, David.
We know everything.
The purpose of the Obama administration cover up is to try to get us to disbelieve what we know.
The purpose of everything they did over there.
Benghazi was lied about, get through the elections.
The IRS thing lied about to get past the elections.
Stevens went to get our ambassador went to Benghazi in a goodwill mission.
They couldn't admit that they needed heightened security.
They couldn't admit that it was a war zone.
Remember, we had just kicked Qaddafi out of office.
Supposedly Libya loved us.
They couldn't admit that there were terrorists in Libya.
Obama had defeated them.
And so what happened was what really happened in both Cairo and Benghazi was a blatant illustration of how wrong and dangerously wrong Obama is, how dangerously wrong Democrats are, how dangerously wrong leftists are, how dangerously wrong these pacifists who get in charge of the U.S. military are.
They are so wrong.
Americans died.
The truth about Cairo and Benghazi, it was oriented toward one thing, protecting Barack Obama.
If you doubt me, take a look at any media story from back.
How is this going to affect Obama?
Any media story.
How's this going to affect Obama?
How is this going to affect Obama's re-election?
How is this going to affect Obama's policy?
Not, oh my God, four Americans are dead.
Does this regime know what it's doing?
There wasn't any coverage like that.
The coverage, oh my God, how's this going to affect Obama?
How can we help that this not hurt Obama?
That's why people are looking into this.
There was blatant incompetence.
There was political maneuvering.
Four Americans died to preserve an Obama campaign lie.
And the cover-up was done to keep that from coming out before the elections and even after.
Four Americans died to preserve the Obama campaign.
We know this.
They are covering that up and trying to keep that hidden.

Here's uh here's Scott Richmond, Virginia.
Great to have you on Open Line Friday.
Hi.
Hi, Rush.
Yay.
I am calling just to see if uh anybody has thought about the connection between the union, the public employees union, the unholy alliance between the Democrat Party and the Union.
Let me tell you something.
I'm glad, I'm glad that you could scandal.
There is.
I'm sorry, folks, the phones are all messed up today.
Callers can't hear me, and there's reverb.
Anyway, here's the thing.
There's a great piece at the American Spectator today.
Coco Link to this.
It's by Jeffrey Lord.
It is a it's a long piece, but it's worth reading.
It's a great piece that links the IRS workers to the union they must belong to.
And the story tells you who this union is.
And they let me put it this way.
They don't like conservatives.
As most unions don't.
So all of these subterranean IRS employees are unionized.
And they have to become a there's a special, forget the name of it, but it is an IRS union.
And they are they are um not predisposed to liking us.
It's at the Americanspectator.com website, Jeffrey Lord with the story.
The Treasury Union and Jeff Lord writes about this, the American Spectator.
Treasury Union, very radical left and very anti-Tea Party.
But folks, none of this matters.
There are no scandals.
TMZ is reporting Beyoncé is Preggers with the second child.
And that news will dwarf everything else coming out of Washington.
