Time Text
Yes, my friends, greetings.
Greetings and welcome back.
Great to have you here on the Excellence and Broadcasting Network, Rush Limbaugh behind the golden EIB microphone, executing a signed host duties flawlessly zero mistakes, because I'm the host and I do the assigning, and it's impossible for me to be wrong.
As I am natural.
What I do is.
Telephone number 800-282-2882 and the email address, Lrushbo at EIB net.com.
So we had the guy from Dallas.
You know, I I heard what you said about the morning after birth control pill for women and girls being made available now over the counter, age 15, no prescription.
His point was, well, you know, sex education, we need to we need to improve it.
I mean to make it responsible.
What?
I thought sex education started in kindergarten in this country.
And he said we can't just make it abstinence.
I didn't think it was.
I thought abstinence had long ago vanished, except in responsible places.
The thing about abstinence is it works every time it's tried.
It does.
But see, that takes the fun out of life.
You know, abstinence establishes a guardrail.
And the left doesn't want any guardrails in society.
They don't want any limits, and they certainly don't want us setting them.
That bugs them more than anything.
So did you hear this guy?
Look, if they're gonna do it anyway, we may as well make it safe and clean.
I remember taking phone calls from Long Island parents back in the mid-90s when the concept of free condoms in high schools came up.
And the thinking back then was actually mothers on Long Island call here and say, Well, uh, I'm going to make a room available in our home to my son and his girlfriend.
I would have I just I'd rather them have sex in there than in the car, because it'd be cleaner.
Never forget this.
I said, Well, you're gonna provide the cigarettes on the night table for afterwards.
Well, no, they don't smoke.
Why not?
They're gonna smell you can't stop her from smoking, or you can't stop them from having sex.
Which makes me think.
In school, why don't we start teaching gun safety instead of just the fact that guns are bad?
Well, and I'm just saying that let's use the same parallels that the left tells us about sex education.
Let's transfer it to guns.
Kids are gonna do it anyway.
Okay.
They're gonna have guns anyway.
We can't stop them.
Kids are gonna have sex anyway.
We can't stop them.
So we need to make it safe.
Kids are gonna get hold of guns.
You just you can't stop it.
So we better make it safe.
We know kids are gonna get guns anyway.
Why not teach them to use guns safely?
Oh no, we can't do that.
We're not gonna teach but guns.
Guns kill people.
So's abortion.
But I'm not supposed to go there.
By the way, if you're just joining us and you missed the first hour, impossible to repeat the whole thing, but there was earth-shattering news in the first hour.
And that is that tetracycling.
Well, the earth-shattering news is related to the fact that scientifically studied men melt in the presence of women they consider beautiful.
When men are around a woman they think is beautiful, they just lose all reason.
They lose all rationality.
And they do things they otherwise wouldn't do.
They say things they otherwise wouldn't do.
They uh uh it is posited in this piece that men make their gravest life mistakes in the presence of a beautiful woman.
That they do things that any other time in the day or their life they would never do.
And so the story said there's a there's a there's help for this, and it mentioned an antibiotic, tetracycline, which is an active pimple zit medicine.
If you take tetracycline, it supposedly ratchets up your rationality and combats the effect on men of a beautiful woman.
Now, when I heard that, I said, Do you realize the angst that we could have spared our culture?
If we would have just known this back in the late 60s and started prescribing tetracycline for men, we would never have needed feminism.
It wouldn't have been a problem.
Beautiful women would not have had an advantage over others, and therefore we would not have needed feminism.
Undeniable truth of life, number 24, and it is made obviously true by this discovery on tetracycline.
My undeniable truth of life number 24.
Feminism was established so as to allow unattractive women easier access to the mainstream.
You can get mad at me, you can feel threatened, you can start throwing your underwear and brought the radio.
I don't care.
It's practically undeniable.
So now here we are.
We have 15-year-old girls now legally able to walk into a pharmacy or the corner pharmacy in a department store anywhere and tell the pharmacist that she wants or he wants the morning after pill.
Can a guy pick some up for his girlfriend?
I don't know.
But a girl can without her parents' knowledge or permission and without a prescription.
This is obviously going to become birth control 101.
This may eliminate the need for the pill.
Why mess with that?
Whatever, whatever side effects it has.
Just go to town out there, have sex all you want, really irritate the conservatives, and head to the pharmacy and pick up the morning after pill the next day.
In fact, pick up a stash of them.
This was discussed this morning on the Fox News channel.
Martha McCallum had on one of their doctors there, Manny Alvarez, along with Democrat activists to show you that this is political, to show you that this is political, which is the point I've been making intensely the last two weeks, but the history of this program has been to attempt to illustrate to everybody that everything the Democrat Party is political, everything it does.
So here you have supposedly something that's a medical decision.
Fifteen year old girls able to walk into a pharmacy, ask for the morning after pill without a prescription and get it, and the Democrats send somebody feminist political activists to talk about this with Dr. Alvarez.
Dr. Alvarez was hot.
He was over the top.
We have three sound bites on this.
And we're starting with this one.
The question from Martha McCallum.
If you're 15 years old, you can walk into any retail outlet that has a pharmacy, and you can do something that's going to dramatically change what's going on in your body.
I have a 14-year-old daughter.
She's a teenager, she's a child, she has a lot of growing up to do.
It is my responsibility and my wife's responsibility alone to bring that to fruition.
Not the federal government, not the president, not anybody else.
All of a sudden now, some judge in New York questions that everybody runs for the hills.
Nobody wants to make the hard decisions, and all of a sudden now it's 15 years.
Now, what you didn't hear, Manny Alvarez was barely able to contain himself because he was responding to Gemmu Green.
Is it Green?
Gemmu Green.
Jemu Green is for the former president of the Women's Media Center.
She's now just a Democrat television analyst, strategist, whatever they call them.
And she was making the case for this.
Women's freedom.
Women's freedom.
Women's liberation.
Women's soul decision.
Manny Alvarez, we're talking girls, 15-year-old girls.
I have a 14-year-old girl, she's a teenager.
She's not a woman.
She doesn't have the slightest idea what's going on with her body.
It's not up to the governor.
It's not up to the mayor.
It's not up to the president.
It's not up to some judge.
It's up to us parents.
And we've just been aced out.
And poor Gemmu was sitting there trying to frown appropriately and trying to edge her way back into conversation, but not trying too hard because Gemu was being juked almost out of her dress here by this.
So after Dr. Alvarez said that nobody wants to make any hard decisions anymore.
Nobody wants to tell anybody no.
Nobody wants to say no, that's not good for you.
Nobody wants to assume responsibility for their own kids anymore.
He kept going.
So what's gonna happen two years from now?
Somebody's gonna make another argument, and they're gonna say, you know what?
Maybe it should be from the moment they're born.
Come on.
That's just that's politics interfering in health care.
And to me, there are side effects, and I'm gonna be talking about it.
I'm gonna be telling the American public this is a medication, and parents should be aware exactly of what's going on.
This is the answer.
It reached like the Constitution.
There's so many possibilities, probabilities, percentages.
You're gonna tell me a 15-year-old girl who can even buy it and give it to a 14-year-old or a 13-year-old is going to understand all the potential side effects and what they should do after if they have any of the symptoms.
Doesn't matter, Dr. Alvarez.
That's not the point of this.
The reason, and make no mistake, folks, the reason the left, the political movement that harbors liberalism, the reason they want to do this is precisely to bust up the traditional notion of what is a family.
The more they bust that up, the more they steer people to Washington for guidance, dependence, what have you.
A lot of people on the left look at you and your family, your parents with contempt.
And by definition, you don't have the tools to make the best decisions in life.
You're not smart enough to do what's good for you.
They have to control these circumstances.
You just you're a good person, you're just inept.
You're just not capable.
They have to control you.
They have to do what they think is best for you.
And young girls are going to have sex, folks.
It can't stop it.
And pregnancy is a disease.
And we're losing ground politically on abortion.
So let's let's make the morning after pill an abortion pill per se.
Let's just make that legal.
So we don't have to worry about this anymore.
We'll figure out a way to compensate planned parenthood on the down low so they don't suffer too much.
But we'll we'll deal with that ways that you won't even see.
The bottom line is you are too oppressive as a parent.
You want to deny your daughters a full life.
You just can't tell kids no.
It's not fair.
You were a kid once, you know how you felt.
You can't tell a kid no.
Who are you to tell your kid no?
So we are gonna tell your kid yes.
We liberals, we of the federal government, we of the Democratic Party, your kid wants to do something, we're there to say you do it.
We're behind you.
And then we'll help you deal with the consequences because your parents really don't know what's best for you.
And your parents don't understand you, but we do.
That's what's going on here.
Well, if you disagree With that with some stop and think for a moment.
What possible interest in something like this could the Democrat Party have?
Is this not an illustration of what I say I do every day?
I get up, I'm minding my own business.
I'm not bothering anybody.
I check out the news and I look at all the things I hold dear, the traditions, the institutions, the morality, the behavior, the people that I hold dear under assault, I come here and I defend it.
I'm called divisive.
So I got up today and I learned that the Democrat Party finally secured the idea that a 15-year-old can now walk into a pharmacy, get a birth control pill after the fact, morning after birth control pill.
Democrat, but would you somebody just if you if you think I'm a little off-center on this, ask yourself what possible interest is this to the Democrat Party?
Why do they care?
What's and if you face that question honestly, if you start trying to honestly answer that, then your mind will open up to other possibilities and other things, because seriously, when it comes to having sex, getting pregnant, taking a pill to get rid of the pregnancy, what the hell's that got to do with the Democrat Party?
And then when you learn everything, it has everything to do with the Democrat Party, because it is about securing financial contributions from the militant feminist groups and female votes, and portraying this absurd notion that there's a Republican war on women, then you might better understand what is really happening here.
It's not about women's health.
It's not about female liberation.
The Democrat Party is pushing this.
Why?
One more sound bite from Dr. No, uh it's uh it fair and balance.
Jemu Green here get the shot.
Martha McCallum said after these two sound bites from Manny Alvarez that you just heard.
Ms. McCallum turns to Gemma Green.
Is any of this concern you?
What concerns me is that not all young people, not all teenagers have the relationship that probably Dr. Manny has with his daughter.
For those young women who do not have that opportunity to talk to their parents, get their parents involved in this decision.
We can't leave them out there in the cold.
And who else has been left out in the cold are all women when you have the ability for them not to get this over the counter?
There are barriers by pharmacy hours being, you know, not open at all times.
Pharmacies not in as many locations for women.
This affects all of us.
You believe this.
So Gemu Greens, well, what do you mean?
Not every family has a responsible parent like Dr. Manny, and so we must take over.
We are gonna be the parents.
We're the ones who care because most kids don't have responsible parents.
A can't leave such kids out in the cold, just like we can't leave illegal immigrants in the shadows.
They've been left out in the cold.
All women, she said, have been left out in the cold.
When you have the ability for them not to get this over the counter because of pharmacy hours not open all the time, pharmacy's not where these women are.
You see how unfair this country is.
This is obscene, folks.
We'll be back after this.
You're guiding light through times of trouble, confusion, murkiness, tumult, chaos, despair.
Yeah.
And even the momentary good times, Rush Limboy here at the Limbaugh Institute for advanced conservative study.
Get this.
I just had just a uh told a story.
Mother has a 15-year-old daughter, ninth grade, In some places that's hascral, and other places that's still the last year of middle school.
She's not allowed to have, get this now, not allowed to have a bottle of Advil in her possession without some sort of a note from either a doctor.
Now, Advil's over the counter, but she's not allowed to have Advil in the purse without a note from a doctor or uh parent or something, and is in any case not allowed to administer it herself.
Even if she's got the note legally saying she can have a bottle of Advil ibuprofen, still has to go to the screw nurse to take it.
But this morning after pill.
It can be in her purse, it could be anywhere, and the scrubles can't say anything about it.
Democrat Party wants it that way.
Why?
What could possibly be the interest of the Democrat Party in something like this?
Now I know the answer.
I'm asking simply because I want people to start thinking of it this way.
This is not the result of some gigantic health study that's predicated on what best can we do for our young daughters.
This is a Democrat Party agenda.
This is an agenda of the militant feminists.
Why is it crucial that 15-year-olds have sex and then be able to go to a pharmacy and get a pill to make sure there's no pregnancy, or that if there is one, it doesn't go any further.
Think about that.
And it will come back.
We'll start on the phones and continue with all the rest of it.
Okay, we're going to go back to the phones.
Rush Limbaugh to Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
And John, thank you for waiting, sir.
Great to have you here.
Thanks, Rush.
I live in the first congressional district in South Carolina, where Mark Sanford's running against Colbert Bush and Nancy Pelosi and the National Democrats have rained down a series of ads with more than a million dollars.
Worse than the wind and rain and any hurricane.
It has an interesting effect.
Colbert Bush went to a show where Mark Sanford was also there called Politics and Pork last night, stayed five minutes and got the bombs rush.
People in South Carolina do not like people from the outside coming and tell us how to run our politics.
Okay, now hang on just a second here.
I'm trying to keep up.
You say that that Sanford was somewhere last night doing something.
Along with Colbert Bush.
Okay, so she was supposed to be there.
She did appear for five minutes, made made no substantive comments, and left out the back door after five minutes, refusing to answer any questions.
Okay, did Pelosi show up?
No.
Pelosi just sends the checks.
Okay, that's where I lost you.
You've got outsiders.
You're saying that Colbert Bush is an outsider.
Colbert Bush is a long-term Colbert family.
Stephen Colbert is her brother.
They're eight or ten kids.
They've been in Charleston for a long time.
However, uh the odd thing about these ads, Rush, is that not a single one of this torrent of ads tells anything about why Colbert should get elected.
It is why Sanford is not to be trusted.
Well, that's the way Obama's campaign was against Romney.
It was total search and destroy.
Look at here here's the thing about it.
I I know the specifics of what's going on in South Carolina.
I know that Colbert Bush doesn't have the slightest clue.
I know that the only thing to recommend Colbert Bush is that her brother has a TV show in a comedy central.
That's it.
And probably a lot of people in South Carolina know that too.
But Mark Sanford brings his own baggage to this.
But it's wide out in the open.
He got Larry Flint's endorsement.
He's being upfront and honest about it.
He's got previous experience, governor, and all this kind of thing.
The Democrats are salivating over winning the House in 2014.
They are they can taste it.
They can feel it.
And that's all this is.
This is they don't care about Colbert Bush.
I mean, you you've nailed it.
They're not going to run one ad extolling her virtues or her superiority on issues, because it isn't about that.
This is about making sure that Mark Samford doesn't win.
And all they're going to do is bombard everybody in that state with a bunch of negative ads, destroying his reputation character, even beyond what he did himself.
It's going to be relentless, a million dollars outside the state.
Now you're saying that South Carolinians don't like all this money coming in from outside to affect their race.
Is that what you're saying?
They don't like it.
And half of South Carolina, like half the country has been through a divorce.
The fact that this one's ugly is not uncommon.
And most South Carolinians simply respect Sanford for what he did as governor and what he did as congressman.
And the only thing notable that Colbert Bush has done is to receive support from and promise to be the voice in Washington for the labor unions that were trying to stop Boeing from coming here.
Right.
If you look at the if you look at the bio page on Elizabeth Colbert Bush's website.
It features three pictures of her brother, the nerd TV host, and four pictures of her.
Her bio.
Thank you.
But again, folks, this is nothing more than the Democrats desperate to win the House in 2014.
They figure that they're going to keep the Senate.
They win the House.
They have their banana republic.
And that's how else would you look at?
They have one party rule.
There will be nothing to stop them.
Mr. Limbaugh, you're worried about nothing.
Obama and the Democrats had one party rule for Obama the first two years.
Yeah, but Obama had problems like reelection and so forth.
Obama had to rein himself in to some extent.
There ain't going to be any of that this time.
There'd be no limits.
Obama not running again, theoretically.
So he doesn't have to worry.
He's raising money left and right.
It will not matter.
One party, it won't even be legislation.
They'll just come up with ideas and rubber stamp them.
Obama sign them, and that's that.
They won't wait the 10 to 15 years for this Obamacare thing to evolve to single payers.
They'll just do it, for example.
But they're hoping they can win here with an almost celebrity.
That's what they're doing in the case of this race.
But winning it is.
And look, I don't don't misunderstand.
That's what politics is, winning elections.
So I'm not criticizing that.
I just want everybody to know what the result will be.
And if they win the House, what we're what we're headed for.
I keep going back to this story from the Kaiser Family Foundation.
It was actually run by ABC News first.
Kaiser Family Foundation released results of a nonpartisan study finding that 42% of Americans did not even know that Obamacare was in place.
Do not even know that there is a health care law.
Do not even know that the new health care law is in place.
Do not even know that the new health care law is in place.
The report actually says 42% are unaware that the Affordable Care Act is the law of the land.
It includes 12% who believe the law has been repealed.
7% who believe it was overturned by the Supreme Court.
23% who say they don't know enough to say what the status of the law is.
Well, I have to say our news media should be very proud.
This is the exact kind of ignorance that the regime is counting on.
This is the exact kind of ignorance the Democrat Party is counting on to achieve what they want to achieve.
This kind of detached literal ignorance.
Forty-two percent low information citizens are clueless about Obamacare.
Now, on the other side of this, to me, this is a golden opportunity for the Republican if 42% don't even know what it repeal it.
Well, Mr. Limbaugh, that would be fraught with danger because if the Republicans start to repeal it, then the 42% will know that it exists and they may like it.
Well, there's always a risk in life.
Oh my gosh.
Twelve percent think it's been repealed.
7% think it was overturned.
So they already get 19% who think it did exist, but it it's it's already been erased.
And are not rioting in the streets.
And they're not marching on Washington demanding that it be replaced.
CyberCast News Service support for Obamacare among those who've heard of it, has hit the lowest level since it was passed.
And this is also from the Kaiser Bunch.
It's their health tracking poll.
Overall, just 35% have a favorable view of Obamacare.
Forty percent have an unfavorable view, which ties an October 2011 poll from the lowest level ever.
More than half of Americans support efforts to change or block it.
Only 33% believe opponents should accept Obamacare as a law of the land.
And from the Hill.com, botched Obamacare rollout tops Democrat fears for 2014 election.
Anxious Democrats fear a botched implementation of Obamacare could dash their hopes of controlling the House and Senate for Obama's last two years.
Now, let's put these things together.
If you've got 42% who don't know that it's the law of the land, in as little as seven months, they are going to be hit upside the head with it.
And it's not going to be pretty.
42% do not know what's coming their way in the form of taxes, bye-bye health plan that you've got, might be reduced to 30 hours a week at your job so that they don't have to cover you.
Hello, 21-page application formed well, it's been reduced to five pages now, at an exchange.
Hello, possible fines from the IRS if you don't have coverage.
You mean the stuff that people don't know that they're going to get hit with?
Huh.
This series of stories reminds me, I have this entire stack here today, folks, of reports on media people and other Democrats who are what's the correct way to say this?
Petrified maybe a little bit strong.
Really concerned over Obama's press conference yesterday.
His appearance, his demeanor, his detachment.
And what was on display yesterday, that entire Obama press conference was the Limbaugh theorem being proved.
The limbaugh theorem being illustrated.
Everything he was asked about, be it Syria and chemical weapons, be it Boston and the bombing, be it details of Benghazi.
He didn't know anything.
He had nothing to do with it.
In Boston, it was the local authorities who did a great job after the fact.
And in Syria, it was people are working hard to deal with this.
In Benghazi, there's nothing to see there.
Obamacare, it's already been implemented.
Nobody has any problem with it.
And this is what people start to notice, by the way.
The media, his buddies in the media are starting to see this guy doesn't attach himself to anything.
It's happening, and he's not trying to, and they can't understand it.
And they're worried about it.
If they only listened to me and understood The limbaugh theorem, and Obama can't afford to have his fingerprints on anything.
Nothing's good.
Nothing happening good out there.
By definition, everything is going in the wrong direction.
Why would Obama want his fingerprints on that?
I must take a brief time out, but we'll be back with much more after this, folks.
Don't go away.
Ha.
How are you?
Welcome back, Rush Limbaugh.
Executing assigned host duties flawlessly while serving humanity.
Get this.
The new Boston terrorist suspects.
And I just heard Professor Dershowitz on Fox say that it appears that these three suspects, these new people, friends of the terrorists, didn't know anything in advance.
At least the authorities don't have any evidence that they are aware of anything in advance, except the new Boston suspects were driving a car with a license plate that said terrorista number one.
As in the female version of terrorists, terrorista number one.
That was on the license plate.
Not don't know what state issued it.
This uh the story is out of Boston, but it doesn't say it was a Massachusetts plate.
Assuming it is, but it doesn't say.
But that would be somewhat interesting to know.
And if you're sitting there at the license plate place and somebody says they want terrorista, would you not tell somebody, given the climate in which we all live?
Would you maybe call RG3 and ask him what he thought about it?
Or somebody at the Redskins.
What do you think about terrorista number one as a personalized license plate?
But nobody did.
And they were students.
And they were here illegally, taken into custody on April 19th, and released and arrested again after April 20th for immigration violations.
I'll tell you, there's so much wrong in this.
And stupidity on the part of everybody who saw that license plate.
Terrorista number one.
Anyway, folks, I mentioned my hand here.
I've got this tumbler.
I mentioned this last week just in passing.
It my all-time favorite cup to drink out of.
Now remember, I love sharing my passions with people.
It's my all-time favorite glass.
16 ounces to drink out of.
It's a tumbler.
It's made by Turfus, and it's insulated so that and you're coming up on summer, nothing sweats in it.
You put ice and whatever beverage in there, and the glass doesn't sweat and it doesn't drip, and the ice stays frozen longer.
It doesn't melt as fast.
We have people over to the house.
And we'll serve them their adult beverages and standard cocktail or highball glasses, and I'm running around with my tumbler.
I've got tumblers that say stealers on them, tumblers that say patriots on them for when Patriots people come over.
I don't want the grief of having a Steelers tumbler.
And I have you don't need a coaster.
I you don't need napkins or any of that.
It's just it's efficient.
These are the little things in life, little details that I pay attention to.
And I used it so much.
I had my Steelers Turfus Tumblr, have one New England Patriots and the people said, you know, we need one of your own.
And so that's what we did.
We have now the latest and greatest product at the two if by tea website.
It's the Rush Revere Tumblr.
It's got me in my broadcast suit and the golden EIB microphone on one side and the Rush Revere character on the other side.
And it is superb artwork.
It is classy.
Illustration of me right here at the golden EIB microphone, Anchor Man My Day, and on the back is the illustration of Rush Revere on my trusty horse.
Uh saving the day.
And it's a quality, it really you'd be amazed for $12.99.
It's just absolutely amazing.
Keeps drinks cold or hot.
Ideal for both.
So if you're looking for something perfect, unique, and high quality and non-breaking.
It's unbreakable.
Dishwasher, microwave, anything.
For loyal Rush fans or for yourself, $12.99 per tumbler.
And it comes in a in a really great tan burlap bag.
You won't believe this for this cheapo price that we're charging for this.
And you can see at 2ifyt.com.
You will not be disappointed in the slightest.
Now, no, no, 2f by t.com.
That's that's where it is.
Now, we got to take a brief break here coming up, and I don't time when we come out of this break, but we get back at the top of the hour.
I've got this stack on the media and the Democrats' reaction to the Obama press conference yesterday.
And I can't wait to share this with you because it's going to validate so much.
And then there's other stuff too.
Like I said, I'm not going to be able to get it all in today, but we're going to try, so sit tight.
We'll be back in just a second.
Look, folks, you know me.
I get I get sort of squeamish.
I know it's not, it's not guilt, but you know, when I start telling you about my own stuff, but I'm telling this this tumbler is awesome, and it's one of the things in life that I use every day that I like the most just because it's it's it's efficient.
I'm I was first ran into one of these.
I was fascinated how it worked.
Why doesn't anything sweat?
Why do I not need a coaster?
So we've made them up, and it's quality and it's class, and it's it's got me and Rush Revere on it.
It's just the best of its kind that you can find.
It's at the 2fbyt.com website.
Export Selection
