Welcome to today's edition of The Rush 24 7 Podcast.
Now this has been a treat.
It has been a treat to listen to all the reasons why they had to move.
Obama's outdoor extravaganza indoors.
It's the weather.
Yes, it's a possibility of lightning, possibility of thunderstorms.
They just don't have the people, folks.
They just can't get the people there.
And I've heard some of the flimsiest excuses from people trying to defend this decision.
It's comical.
They just can't get the people there aren't the people.
It's not that they don't have buses.
They don't have people to put on the buses.
They don't have people who want to go.
It's no more complicated than that.
They can't find 64,000 people that want to go to this thing.
Well, maybe they can find 18 or 20, the people that are the indoor arena, but they can't find the additional bodies.
Hiya, folks, how are you, Rush Limbaugh?
Here at 800-282-2882 and the email address L Rushbow at EIBNet.com.
A uh a local meteorologist in Charlotte, North Carolina says he's puzzled here.
He said Thursday night's uh likely gonna be the best weather of the entire week.
Brad Panovich, WCNC, NBC TV, wrote on Twitter, Thursday night will likely be the best weather of the entire week.
Now I heard Alan Combs.
Normally I don't mention Combs' name because I don't want to embarrass the guy, but this.
I heard Combs on Fox this morning explaining this.
He said, well, it's uh it's it's not lack of interest.
It's not anything that you Republicans think it is, it's it's simply the weather.
Said, look.
Um Charlotte's not big enough for uh 74,000 people.
They don't have enough hotels, people uh to house them.
Uh just well, when did you figure that out?
Now now ten times a year, Bank of America Stadium is sold out for the Carolina Panthers.
And it doesn't matter whether rain or lightning or what is in the forecast, they show up.
Charlotte can fill that stadium ten times.
And maybe more than that, I don't know what else they use it for.
They just don't, they can't find a number of people that want to go.
It's it's it's no more complicated than that.
I'll tell you what I'm I I watched a little bit of this last night, uh, folks, it's the job.
Uh this I couldn't farm out to anybody.
And I was stunned.
I was stunned.
There were two conventions, the two hours before the big network cameras started showing things, it was the Democrat Party we know.
It was it was pedal of the metal abortion, uh uh auto bailout.
It was it was it was Republicans or Nazis, all that stuff.
Starting at 9 o'clock, they started lying.
And nothing that was said after 9 o'clock, I don't think anybody believed.
I don't care who the speaker was, I don't think they believed a word of what was said from 9 o'clock on.
Now, before 9 o'clock, you know, yesterday, late yesterday afternoon, it was discovered a DNC video, the government is the only thing we all belong to.
That's the Democrat Party we know.
What I want to know is where was a testimony for the 99 weeks of unemployment that they're responsible for?
Where was the promise for 99 more weeks?
Where was the promise of additional entitlements?
Where was the promise that the government's gonna take care of you even more regardless of the shape of the economy?
Where was the where was the pride?
Where was where was the uh the attempt to take credit for all the people on food stamps?
The things the Democrats are truly proud of, they hid last night when the cameras were on.
When everybody was paying attention, I don't know what the numbers were.
I don't know what the ratings are, but I mean I I don't think you know those Castro brothers.
I thought when this guy, Julian Castro started talking about Democrats lifting themselves up by the boots down, I thought somebody might grab a hook And go yank that guy off the stage.
What in the world is he talking about?
Self-reliance.
And then he tried to pass.
Well, we in Texas are about the only ones that have bootstraps anymore.
So he tried to cover it.
But there were a number of instances like that that had me scratching my head.
But I they've learned, you know, the thing they everybody talks about the most often used word last night was Barack.
Maybe it was.
But the second most often used word after I and me was values.
They kept talking about their values and everybody else's values and American values and so forth.
Things they never talk about.
They took God out of the platform.
Dick Turbin went on Fox, the uh the Brear Show, the one from six to seven, and Brett Bear, we've got the video, the audio coming up.
Bread Bear said, Well, what'd you take God?
Don't you dare!
You, you, you better than that.
You sit here and you look at both parties believe in God.
We're God through whoa, I just thought, why did you take it out?
Why are you asking me to who do you think you didn't want to go anywhere near it?
And in Debbie Blabbermouth Schultz openly lying about what the Israeli ambassador said about the Republicans, caught red-handed in a lie about it.
But then 9 o'clock came, and I I I swear there were there were elements of this convention that were more conservative than ours.
And I know that they didn't believe a word of it.
They don't believe a word of it, but they've got they've obviously made a marketing decision.
I hear the early DNC ratings for night one, NBC 5.3 million, CBS 3.2 million, ABC 2.5 million.
Don't have the cable numbers yet.
My memory, I don't know if that's equal to, less than, or greater than the numbers for the Republican convention.
But it doesn't matter because whatever the media thought the highlights last night were, they're replaying over and over and over again.
So the numbers last night really don't matter all that much because they're they're they're spreading the uh the word.
Um I you know, I I watched this last night and I I had to keep reminding myself we got 47 million Americans on food stamps.
And these people are shouting four more years.
Ram Emanuel came out.
Well, how many murders in Chicago last night when Ron was speaking?
Anybody calculate that?
And then a tribute to the swimmer?
Ted Kennedy.
That was before all the big cameras showed up, too.
Forty-seven million on food stamps, and Ram Emanuel actually said it four more years, and they started chanting that in the convention.
And I said, right on, that's what we want to hear.
Four more years of this, 43 consecutive months of unemployment over 8%, Four more years.
16 trillion dollars national debt.
Obama responsible for more than a third of that.
Four more years.
Twenty-three million Americans unemployed, underemployed, four more years.
Taxpayers paying for late-term abortions.
That happened before you started watching.
Four more years.
A trillion dollars for a stimulus.
Unemployment never gets under 8% four more years.
Not one Democrat ever voted for any Obama budget four more years.
Take God out of the Democrat Party platform four more years.
We didn't hear any of this.
We didn't hear any credit taking.
We didn't, in fact, we didn't hear last night any plans for the future.
All we heard was that Barack Obama is still the Messiah.
The theme of that convention last Barack Obama still the Messiah.
You and I found interesting about Michelle's speech.
Her man has been president for four years, and she felt it necessary to tell everybody who he is.
See, four years ago, I guess nobody cared.
He was the Messiah.
It didn't matter.
People were able to make of Barack Obama whatever they wanted.
He wasn't the old empty canvas.
Well, you paint on it whatever you want him to be.
Last night I learned that he doesn't care whether you're Republican or a Democrat.
Last night I learned all kinds of things.
You could tell that to Paul Ryan, or tell that to hell, tell any Republican.
I didn't know that Barack Obama actually found his coffee table in a dumpster.
Did you know that, Don?
Did you know I I did not know that Barack Obama, when he took Michelle on their first date, car was so rusted out that she could see the street through the floor.
Do you know that?
I take it back.
I think the most often used word last night was struggle.
And I don't know about you, but I've about had it with all the struggling from everybody.
This apparent necessity to tell everybody how hard you had it, even when you didn't.
And the never-ending struggles that were recounted.
But what was really amazing to me was the last two hours of that convention.
I don't think they believed a thing they said.
Did you know, did you know these people, the Democrats love the military?
I'm sitting there watching this, and they bring that military mom out to introduce Michelle.
And I looked over at Catherine, I was dumb for these people do not like the military.
They don't like the military being victorious, they resent the military.
What is this?
What last night showed, if I may be bold, what last night showed is that they know they've been governing against the will of the people.
What last night proved beyond a shadow of a doubt is they know that this country doesn't want what they really want.
The people of this country have no interest in what they really intend.
There was no credit taken for any of the so-called achievements.
Except Sibelius and Rahm both went out to resell Obamacare.
To resell it with the same lies that they told before the vote.
You get to keep your doctor, you get to keep your plan not true.
Sabedias said something, we've got all this coming up on the audio assembly.
She said, being a woman is no longer a pre-existing condition.
That gave me hope that this convention was going to be truthful now.
When Sabelius went out there and said, being a woman is no longer a pre-existing condition, as though it's a disease.
But this convention last night proved that they know that the people of this country don't want what they believe in.
There was no credit taken other than reselling Obamacare, there was no credit taken for anything that's happened.
They didn't tout the stimulus, the auto bailout was about it.
They didn't talk about 99 weeks unemployment, they didn't talk about all the great work that's been done to create jobs, they didn't talk about any of that.
They took credit for nothing.
All they did was try to convince people that they are not who they really are.
Because they know they can't win doing that.
If I was a devout liberal, the last two hours of that convention last night would have ticked me off because I would have thought that they're selling out, that they don't have the guts.
The only thing that would have mollified me if I was a liberal last night is if I thought doing that was going to really stick it to the Republicans and the conservatives.
Because that's what they really care about more than anything else, is sticking it to us.
But if you if you need Any evidence whatsoever that these people know that they are not what this country wants.
The last two hours of that convention were the proof where they tried to pass themselves off as the same average Americans that they know live in this country.
They wanted to make you think that they believe in pretty much everything the Republicans were talking about last week.
Self-reliance starting from nothing and making something of yourself.
In the last two hours of convention, they just, you know, they had to throw a couple of bones the fact that government unites everybody doing this, but it was when's the last time you heard a Democrat talk about lifting yourself up by your own bootstraps.
hasn't happened in my lifetime until last night.
Well, that may be a bit broad to say.
There may be some of that's That's my lifetime, I said.
Harry Truman, I wasn't alive when Harry Truman was around.
But JFK might have in some of his uh economic speeches.
And I'll tell you the media orgasming over all of it, not just Michelle Speech.
They're orgasming over everything.
And the reason is like David Rodham Gurgen, David Rodam Gurgen said, essentially, if the next two nights are like last night, why we can break this thing open.
Meaning if they can do two more nights of convincing people that they aren't who they are, they can break this open.
But what does it mean to break it open?
Means it's not in the bag.
It means Gergen knows they're in trouble.
It means Gergen knows that they are losing.
And...
Now I'm hoping, I don't know, some woman next time at the convention, next speech, whoever talks about lifting herself up by her bra straps.
Folks, there may be a seminal change taking place here in the Democrat Party.
Hi, welcome back.
El Rushbow having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have.
But folks, I I don't know about you.
Let me share something with you.
Michelle Obama last night went on and on and on about how she loves her husband.
She loves him more now than ever.
She loved him more down in yesterday than when she met him four years ago and all that.
I wonder, how did that play with the Feminazis?
That's not in the playbook.
Loving your husbands is not.
Well, it's not.
Look at you get mad at me all you want, but but the whole it was a it was a big disconnect.
All that's just gonna make people envious.
And a lot of people are not gonna believe that.
Here's some more ratings information.
Day one.
Democrat National Convention, NBC down 24% from 2008.
ABC down 36% from four years ago.
CBS Democrat National Convention coverage was down for cent from the same night four years ago.
Now that's just the networks we don't yet have the cable numbers.
Fox is probably going to lead the pack again.
But that's pretty telling uh if you because this that that again reflects the vastly faded affection for Obama.
Uh four years ago, the Messiah, this this you remember it, and I'm sure it it scared you back then and it irritated you at the same time.
But this this massive devotion to somebody nobody knew anything about, then they didn't care.
It worried me about the country, people in the country, how easy it is to fall for somebody presented as perfection when we don't know anything about them.
And in fact, we did know.
That's what we knew who Obama was, and the media wasn't telling anybody.
It was really, really frustrating.
So fast forward four years, NBC down 24%, ABC down 36%, CBS down almost by half, 45%, which means the magic is gone.
Which means the excitement.
Now we'll have to compare Thursday night with Thursday night four years ago, of course, but there was massive anticipation, there was pent-up excitement four years ago, and it isn't there.
And it dovetails nicely with the fact that they just they had to move uh Obama's acceptance inside because they can't find 65,000 people to put in that stadium.
And because of Eastwood, they can't have any empty seats out there.
That was that's a that's a joke that nobody can avoid making, including the Lenos and the Lettermans and so forth.
They couldn't risk it.
There is no other event scheduled outside with the same weather forecast that would be canceled.
They wouldn't cancel a baseball game, they wouldn't cancel a football game, they wouldn't cancel a picnic.
There's no other event with the same weather forecast, same place that would be canceled.
30% chance of rain, which is this a seasonal statistical chance of rain.
They just don't have the bodies.
They don't have the people.
And welcome back.
Rush Limbaugh here on the cutting edge of societal evolution, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have.
So it was Sunday or Monday, I forget, where the days run together.
John Burton, California Democrat Party chairman, accused Ryan and Romney of essentially being Nazis.
Spreading the big lie, Ala Joseph Goebbels, and now South Carolina Democrat chairman, Dick Harpootlian has just compared Rick Nikki Haley, the governor, Republican governor, to Hitler's mistress.
Eva Braun.
It happened this morning at a breakfast in Charlotte.
The state newspaper reporting South Carolina Democrat chairman Dick Harpootlian, never a loss for a quick quip, tossed a few stinging one-liners at the Wednesday delegation breakfast on Governor Nikki Haley, participating in daily news briefings in a basement studio at the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
Yeah, she down in the bunker a la Eva Braun.
What is it with these people and the Nazis?
I mean, if anybody's the Nazis, it's these guys.
I mean, the Nazi Party was the National Socialist Party.
The Nazis believed in universal health care.
You know, forget, you know, throw throw the Holocaust out.
And Hitler is far closely more closely identified with today's Democrats than anybody else.
Guy was a vegetarian to boot, crying out loud the Democrats would have loved the guy.
He was saving the planet.
He's doing all kinds of stuff.
Health care, right up their alley.
And what is it with these people?
Nikki Haley isn't is Eva Braun, Ryan and Brent Romney are Hitler and Joseph Goebbels.
I'm going to tell I I think Harpootlian, my memory serves.
Harpootlian's been the Democrat term of South Carolina a long time.
My guess, folks, and I could be dead wrong.
You people in South Carolina may start screaming loudly at me when I say this.
Because I'm really just guessing on this using instinct.
But Harpootlian, it's been around a long time.
He doesn't strike me as as one of these mad socialist Marxist Democrats.
Maybe they all are now.
But he he more reminds me of your grandfather's Democrat Party.
Yeah, they were leftists.
They were Democrats, but they they they didn't believe in tyranny.
They didn't believe in uh all of the garbage that we get out of the modern day Democrat Party, although he's he's following the script.
But I think these people understand I Harpootlian may be why there's some Democrats that understand they have really stepped in it by taking God out of the Constitution by making this uh uh convention all about abortion and contraception.
Because look at here's here's the truth of this country right now.
Forty-seven million Americans on food stamps.
Unemployment, 8.3%.
The worst economic recovery since the Great Depression.
There is no economic recovery, in essence.
Unemployment for Hispanics is over 10%.
It has been 43 months since unemployment was under 8% in this country.
Urban or median household income has dropped $4,000 a year in the last four years.
$51,000 to 47,000.
The precious middle class about whom we heard exclusively last night is losing drastically.
It's wealth and its opportunity for prosperity under this administration.
These are the numbers that are real.
These are the numbers no Michelle Obama speech can cover up.
They can't change these numbers.
I don't care what speech is given by whom.
They can't change the numbers that represent the economic destruction that equals the record of this administration.
They may try to cover it up, they may try to ignore it, but their problem is that people are living it.
People are living in Obamaville.
People are living Obama's America.
People are living what Barack Obama believes.
And their wealth and their income is plummeting.
They can't find jobs.
They're graduating from school with no jobs and mountains of debt.
They're on unemployment compensation for 99 weeks or more, 47 million on food stamps, a record.
Unemployment hasn't been under 8% in 43 years.
And what are they doing?
Running around saying that Nikki Haley is Eva Braun.
What Hart Putin's doing here is trying to deflect.
They are obsessed with keeping everybody's eye off the ball.
And the ball is the record.
And the record is the evidence of the failure of Barack Obama.
And that's what they're desperately trying to cover up.
That's what they're desperately trying to ignore.
They're doing everything they can to deflect it, including go out in the last two hours of that convention last night and say things that they don't believe.
They didn't believe a word of what they said last night.
But they've got no choice.
They can't talk about the next four years.
What are they going to be?
They can't, they don't dare be honest.
I I I can't make this point often enough, folks.
I can't make this point too frequently.
Last night proved that the Democrat Party knows full well they do not have majority support from the people of this country.
They know what we have said and warned you about repeatedly, year after year.
They have to lie about what they believe and what they want in order to get votes.
If they were honest and forthright, they wouldn't get 30% of the vote.
It's interesting.
Alec Baldwin.
This is from Breitbart.
Alec Baldwin says if Obama was white, he'd be up by 17 points.
You want to know the truth?
If Obama was white, he'd be down by 20.
If Obama was white, this election would be over.
If Obama was white, there wouldn't be a contest.
Alec Baldwin is 180 degrees out of phase.
It would be Carter.
It would be the second term of Carter, and there wouldn't be a shred's difference.
And there wouldn't be all this talk about hope and change and all these slogans and so forth.
No, they're dead wrong about that.
They know.
They know they're out of touch with the mainstream of this country.
They know they are diametrically opposed to the mainstream of this country.
They took God out of the platform.
They lied, Debbie Blabbermouth Schultz went out there and lied specifically twice, even after being caught, which she's been doing regularly on CNN, wherever They get her to go, she lies, and no matter how much evidence is shown to her that she just keeps lying because get the message out.
Just get the lie out.
Just, well, Joseph Goebbel, just keep lying.
Just tell the lie.
They took God out of the platform, and they're telling everybody that the only thing we all have in common is government.
Government is what unites us.
Where's the audio set?
Grab audio summit number three.
Here's that's just 13 seconds.
This is a snippet of a DNC video.
We do believe you can use government in a good way.
Governor's only thing that we all belong to.
We're in different churches, different clubs, but we're together as a part of our city or our county or our state.
That's what they believe.
That's what, and of course they're out there denying.
Oh, no, no, no, wait a minute.
That's a local group that did that, the Democrats.
That wasn't us.
That's some that's some renegade group, some rogue group, we didn't do that.
The Republicans were all over this.
We don't belong to government.
Government belongs to us.
Government's the only thing we all belong to.
And that if you if you were able to wade through all the confusion last night in the last two hours of that convention, I don't care whether it was uh Castro, whether it was Rahm Emanuel, um uh Michelle Obama, no, that the message was clear.
There wasn't a single mention of small business.
There wasn't a single mention of the private sector.
There wasn't a single.
It was all tied to government.
It was all about how we are wards, we are stewards of the state.
It's the state that makes us.
The fact that the state cares about us is what gives us hope.
The fact that the people at the top at government care.
That's all we need.
That's all we need to know.
We don't need to know anything else.
We don't need to ask any other questions.
Barack cares.
And that's it.
That's enough.
That's all we need.
Once you know that Barack cares, you don't have a single worry.
You don't have a single concern because Barack cares.
And how do we know he cares?
Because his wife is in love with him now more than she ever has been.
Despite the fact that on her first date, his car was so rusted out had a hole in the bottom she could see the street go by.
Oh, and in his first coffee table he found in a dumpster.
Last night, Michelle Obama said something about in Barack's America, nobody's gonna go broke when they get sick.
They have uh half-brother over in Nairobi who lives in a hut.
Family member of the brother got sick, needed a thousand dollars for medical treatment.
The guy didn't bother calling Barack because he knew he wouldn't get a call back.
He knew Barack wouldn't take his call.
Barack cares.
Barack cares about you.
Barack, and that's all you need to know.
That's the sum total of everything you need.
Barack cares.
The government cares.
And because of that, you're gonna be fine.
But if you're George Obama and you live in a hut in Nairobi in the slums, and your son or whatever gets sick, and you need a thousand dollars, who do you call a journalist in America who interviewed you?
Because your half-brother Barack, who cares, won't help you out.
If Barack cares, why is there so much suffering?
If Barack cares, why is there so much struggling?
By the way, when did struggling ever get spelled with an H in it?
I thought it was struggling.
Every time I hear a Democrat say it, struggle.
Anyway, take a break here, folks.
Sit tight.
We're coming back with much more.
Plus your phone calls here, Rush Limbaugh, EIB Network, don't go away.
Executing a scientost duties flawlessly.
Andrew Stiles writing here in the Washington Free Beacon.
Obama economy leaves women behind.
By the way, there's an ABC News Washington Post poll came out yesterday about how Obama is losing women now in significant numbers.
The ABC people were were shocked, a little distressed reporting the poll and its results.
There's already a significant gender gap with men, Romney way ahead up like nine or ten points with men, which is standard.
But Obama's starting to lose ground with women.
Everybody was stunned by this.
Here we are at the first day of the convention.
I couldn't believe it.
The Hill poll yesterday majority of people don't think Obama deserves being re-elected.
It's not a pretty picture.
And folks, this this move in this speech, outdoors to indoors.
This is one of the biggest how can I phrase this?
This is one of the most significant events involving Obama in the last six months.
This is a huge thing.
Do not doubt me.
I want you to imagine that you are Obama and you're in the you're in the residence or you're in the Oval Office today, whenever they made this decision.
I don't believe they made it this morning.
I think they made this decision yesterday, the day before.
And somebody, you know, you you you draw the responsibility of calling Obama saying, sorry, sir, we have to move it indoors.
Oh, yeah.
What?
Well, uh weather forecast, lightning, thunder.
Well, I don't believe that.
Um people.
People walk through fire to see me, and snow.
Well, what do you mean weather?
Uh, sir, uh, we just uh can't find the uh people.
It all comes down to that.
You have the ego that Obama has.
Trust me, folks.
I know where of which I speak.
You're used to filling auditoriums and you don't fill them anymore.
That's big.
It is not new.
He has been not filling arenas of 18 or 20,000 in Ohio and Iowa.
This is just the latest.
The real world evidence.
The ABC poll on women, the Hill poll yesterday, which I think accurately reflects internals at the White House.
Obama's approval at Gallup is 43%.
He's become a joke, people laughing at him, empty chair.
Now he can't fill up the 73,000 uh Black Panther Stadium.
Uh this does not make for a healthy environment.
And I'm telling you, when the crowds no longer show up, when you know you're not drawing the crowds.
That's that's a sobering day.
That is a tough reality to face.
Unions didn't pitch in.
They credentialed a lot of people.
You mean media?
Yeah.
Well, they don't know.
There may be some people can be mad.
People are planning on going, had tickets to get there.
That's why the excuse of the of the weather.
But it doesn't help them that the local number one weather guy, the NBC affiliate, so this is the best night of the week, forecast-wise.
What are they doing?
The local NBC weather gets the best night of the week tomorrow night, or Thursday, yeah, Thursday night.
Sluggish economy under President Obama has been particularly hard on women, nearly six million, are currently unemployed.
More than 400,000 have lost their jobs.
Poverty rates among women have soared to record highs.
Since Obama took office, the unemployment rate among women has jumped from 7% to 8.8.1%, and these are government numbers.
Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Young women have fared even worse.
Their unemployment Rate has gone from 12.5% to 14.5% since 2009.
The jobless rate among single women, a demo the regime is targeting, has nearly doubled.
That's the real world.
That's what they really know.
And there's no speech and no two hours of lies and repositioning last night that's going to make up for that, particularly when a maximum 20 million people in a country of 300 million watched it.
The first hour of today's program not only headed to the Limbaugh Broadcast Museum, but probably will end up in the National Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
That's how good it was, and it only will get better when we get back.
So don't go anywhere.
Export Selection
