Yeah, I know we're back, and we've got broadcast excellence straight ahead.
Another exciting two hours.
It's the fastest three hours in media.
I, of course, your host, Rush Limbo, a highly trained broadcast specialist.
Meeting and surpassing all audience expectations on a daily basis.
Such a thrill and a delight to be with you, and we will get to your phone calls in this hour.
The telephone number is 800 282-2882, the email address L Rushbow EIB net.com.
It's true.
I had to hurry get this done.
Two-thirds.
The American people want Obamacare overturned.
It's a CBS New York Times poll.
You gotta be worse than that.
If they report two thirds, it's gotta be worse than that.
You imagine how tough that has to be for the New York Times to report one of their own polls.
Two-thirds of the American people want Obamacare overturned.
Just twenty-four percent of the country want Obamacare left intact.
Now I want to go back, uh, ladies and gentlemen, this secret meeting.
It's going on a series of secret meetings taking place according to the politico.
There are 12 senators from both parties secretly huddling over plans to avoid the fiscal disaster we're headed to on January, in January of next year.
Tax Mageddon.
The Bush tax cuts and new tax increases start with Obamacare, new rounds of government spending, all kinds of things that if if they happen.
I find this fascinating too.
Even the Democrats know.
And it's a Democrat wish list.
The Bush tax cuts end, new tax increases, massive spending, and they understand fully that it'll wreck the U.S. economy.
Some of them do.
And we're led to believe that enough of them care about it that they're having secret meetings with the Republicans to try to head off this disaster.
I'm not sure I believe that.
I think it's another attempt behind the scenes to snooker Republicans into going along with tax increases.
They're not going to cut entirely.
When's the last time an entitlement's been cut?
The only way an entitlement's going to get cuts if it's if it's deemed unconstitutional.
There haven't been any entitlement cuts proposed that anybody really ever meant.
And it always paired.
And we'll cut, we'll we'll start talking entitlement reform if you, Republicans, finally agree that we need new revenue, i.e., tax increases.
So at the center of everything is the Bush tax cuts expiring.
That is at the center of everything.
What?
We talked about this on this program yesterday.
And I said snerdly perked up on this, he couldn't believe it.
The conventional wisdom is that if Obama's re-elected, and we get to tax Mageddon, that he's going to relent and he's going to authorize another temporary extension of the Bush tax cuts to avoid economic disaster.
That's the conventional wisdom.
Now Obama's not saying it.
All of his surrogates are saying it.
The press is speculating.
A lot of people have just concluded that it's conventional with David Rodham Gurgen.
We played the soundbite yesterday.
David Rodam Gurgen thinks that Clinton is actually part of a strategy here to give Obama cover on this.
Because Clinton is out there not only saying we shouldn't hit Bain Capital, private equity is honorable work, and those are good people, but we need to extend the Bush tax cuts because we are in a recession.
What you have to understand here, folks, and I'm not exaggerating, what you and I call tax agedon, the Democrats call nirvana.
What you and I look at as fiscal disaster, they look at as dreams realized, and I am not exaggerating.
So the popular conventional wisdom, which is often wrong, is that Clinton is out talking about extending the Bush tax cuts to give Obama cover for doing it.
I do not believe, and I will go on record right now again as yesterday, I do not believe if Obama's re-elected, he's not going to extend the Bush tax cuts.
That's not why he's running for re-election.
He's running for re-election to end those tax cuts and to raise them.
That's what Obama's salivating over.
He's not going to extend these tax cuts.
And I don't know whether David Rodham Gurgen's believing his own drivel or whether he's part of the ruse, too.
But this Carney said that.
Carney said it on the gaggle on Air Force One.
The spokes kid said that Obama is not going to extend the Bush tax.
Okay.
Okay, well then the regime is on record if Snurdly is right, and there's no guarantee of that.
So anyway.
The center of all these secret meetings, the Bush tax cuts.
What the political says is going on here is that Durbin is the guy talking.
And he's saying that they're having these private meetings because to do this publicly, everybody start throwing stones at them and they would disband the political heat would be too much.
If Democrat voters learned that Democrat senators were considering cuts to entitlements that there would be hell to pay.
And with the same token, if Republican voters learned that Republican senators were talking about raising taxes, they'd be held to pay.
So Durbin says we can only do this in private.
So why talk about it?
Dick, why leak it to the politico that it's even happening?
And they also say Durbin says to the political the reason they're doing this in private is to make sure that business is able to have its confidence restored.
These measures, she said Dick Durbin said are trying to come up with measures that'll restore confidence in the business community.
Now, if these ideas that they're talking about in secret would restore confidence in the business community, don't you think that that would happen if they did this publicly?
So I think there's something else at work here.
This article in the Politico ends up saying that when all is said and done, all that'll end up happening is a temporary extension of the Bush tax cuts, as Bill Clinton is out suggesting.
The politico sites, Kent Conrad, Democrat Kent Conrad, they quote him as saying it might make some sense to extend all the taxes in short-term tax cuts.
So Obama's gonna take Kent Conrad to the Corey Booker Memorial Woodshed because Kent Conrad is the latest Democrat to publicly speak out against the Obama agenda.
But I've been here too many times.
I've seen this kind of thing too many times.
I've been around too long to get fooled by any of this.
And this to me looks like, and I'm not, I hope I'm not being too smart by half here, but this is starting to look to me like a deliberate Democrat strategy.
And the strategy is Obama encourages all these top Democrats to say the Bush tax cuts have to be extended.
That Obama wants Clinton out there saying this stuff.
That Obama wants Durban talking about that.
Obama wants all these other people, not him, but all these other people talking about the Bush tax cuts have to be extended after the election in order to boost economic optimism before November.
The key for all of this is for business to think that tax again is not gonna happen before the election.
But you know what?
Let's let's say they play this out.
Yeah, well, what let's just watch.
Let's just watch.
Let's see if all this talk about extending the Bush tax cuts continues.
Let's see if more people pick it up.
Let's see if it becomes part of the conventional wisdom.
Let's just see in the next couple of months, three months, if indeed it becomes part of the mass political assumption every day.
Oh, yeah, Bush tax cuts be extended.
January 2012.
We can't allow that to happen.
No, no, no, no.
Wait, we're gonna have to extend those tax cuts to help this safe.
That becomes the public assumption.
And the purpose of that will be to ease business opposition to Obama.
And then Obama, let's just say gets re-elected, and it's just gonna be like Bill Clinton and his middle class tax cut.
Shortly after being inaugurated in 1993, Bill Clinton called a press conference, or maybe this might have been from the Oval Office.
I have never worked harder in my life.
I have looked at the numbers, and folks, we just can't afford a middle class tax cut.
I I uh I wanted to do this.
I know I said that was gonna do it, but you know what?
It's worse than we thought.
This worst economy lasts 50 years, and I just can't do it.
We're gonna get the same thing from Obama.
We can't extend the Bush tax.
It's not going to happen.
In other words, a big lie is being perpetrated here for the purpose of getting Obama re-elected.
I wouldn't put it past them.
So all these so-called betrayals and misstatements, Clinton and all these other guys supposedly embarrassing Obama.
Where's the discipline?
If all these guys are really off the reservation and really embarrassing Obama, where's the discipline?
This kind of stuff happens.
Remember, Michael Walsh had it right.
Understand the Democrat Party today is to understand the workings of a modern crime organization, a crime family.
You go off the reservation like this, you get punished.
Well, look at Bob Torcelli.
Look what they did to him.
Andrew Cuomo was Bill Clinton in both cases.
Went to both those guys.
You know, Cuomo wanted to run for something.
And they and they said, Andrew, you see what happened to Torcelli?
He went to jail, Andrew.
He was close to going to jail.
I if you want to have political future, you're going back out of there.
Carl McCall.
Whenever any of these Democrats have gone off the reservation, there has been discipline.
There isn't any discipline now.
These guys are getting away with supposedly humiliating and embarrassing Obama.
Here it is from the Washington Post, Washington, for those of you in Rio Linda, aboard Air Force One.
The White House is insisting President Obama will not extend the Bush era tax cuts for wealthier Americans, even temporarily.
Obama spokes kid Jay Carney said the president has been clear.
In his opposition to extending tax tax cuts for households income above 250,000.
So maybe my theory is not right.
Because Obama's undercutting it.
For my theory to be right, Obama would have to shut up and go along with it.
But now the spokes kids out there undercutting Clinton and undercutting David Rodham Gurgan and making it clear, I don't care what you hear from my so-called friends, I am not extending the Bush tax cuts for the rich.
You got these senators meeting in private.
Trying to come up with a deal to save us from tax them again.
Anyway, I gotta take a break.
We'll do it.
I've still got Obama.
Yeah, I've got look, it keeps adding up here.
I do have, we're gonna get there.
Uh, not going all the way down, and push-ups, and um a lot of stuff.
It's just it's it's piling up here.
I'll get to all of it as soon as we get back.
Don't go away.
Time to go to the phones.
And we're gonna start in Laredo, Texas.
This is Marco.
Thank you for calling, and I appreciate your patience.
And Welcome to the program.
Oh, thank you very much, Rush.
It's uh honor to talk with you.
Thank you, sir.
I'm a longtime listener, second time caller.
Okay, great.
Thank you very much.
I was uh Colin, I was listening to your podcast this morning, and I heard you talk about the police unions and um on what you go on or what you talk about with the union.
And um, I am a Port of Patrol agent down here in Lorena, Texas, and um, it's also unionized.
So, but the only thing we have a union for is um protection from the management, pretty much where they can't really get on to us and try and gif us out of work or any kind of um things like that.
Yeah, I appreciate your call, Marco.
I and I understand.
I I got a um a a letter, an email from a police officer in Wellington, Florida, which is you know, just over there.
Yeah, it's over there.
And he gets it, he understands.
We're talking yesterday about municipal employees, union state employees in Wisconsin, primarily, but but extrapolated, we could have been talking everywhere, and about the characteristics.
And it's it's uh here's the thing.
This is happening all over the country.
Do you know there's a story in the Palm Beach Post today?
Do you do you read the Palm Beach Post, you guys in there?
Ha!
We have three people here.
Not since June 5th, two years ago.
You haven't read the Palm Beach Post since that that my wedding.
What did they do?
Oh, oh, oh, yeah.
They they tried to blow our surprise of having Elton John as the um Yeah.
Well, anyway, they have a story about Palm Beach police officers.
And apparently a palm beach, here, not over there, here.
A Palm Beach police officer has been fired for writing too many tickets.
And the story says that it is happening because the city of Palm Beach has reduced pensions.
City of Palm Beach, Florida has done what is happening in Wisconsin with both the firefighters and the police officers.
They've made changes in the long-term pension agreement.
Uh wages are uh not increasing as as as rapidly.
And one of the police officers is quoted in the story as saying, okay, let's see how Palm Beachers like it if we now start picking them up for speeding and DUI.
Story implies that there's a an unwritten rule that the cops will look the other way, but this one police officer has written in, I think it's in one month total number of tickets he wrote all year.
Because there's a it now raises are based on merit.
So forth.
It was a it's a tantrum admission.
Anyway, the the the uh the the only reason I'm mentioning it is because it's here as relevance to we were talking the whole issue of public employee unions, and there just isn't the money to honor all of these deals that were made years ago.
You can understand the union members, I mean they had a deal.
Somebody made the deal with them.
Now the money isn't there, and the deal has to be changed.
You can understand their being angry.
I guess the thing that I assume that people understand too much.
I ought to not assume that.
I I assume that everybody understands that when I talk about this or anything, it's through the prism of ideological politics, left versus right.
And it's I assume that everybody understands that my criticism is aimed at the ideological component of whatever issue we're talking about.
So when we're talking about Wisconsin, the recall of Scott Walker.
I am talking about the ideological left and its ideas for what kind of country we Ought to have.
And there, when I when I I mean this when I say it, they don't care whether the state's bankrupt.
They don't care whether the people paying their salaries don't have the money to pay it.
They don't care.
They just want.
This is not an indictment of everybody.
It's not an indictment of people.
There are a lot of people, by the way, in Wisconsin, liberal Democrats, according to the Exit Pose, if you can believe it, and who knows, who don't agree with Walker but didn't want him thrown out of office because they don't like the idea of constant recalls and kicking people out of office just because of policy.
That's exit poll data showed this.
And so I assume that, for example, a conservative cop driving around who is a public employee would understand that my criticism is not aimed at any of these people personally, but rather the leadership who's leading this charge, trying to change the very structure of the country with their effort.
That's what I'm trying to defend.
I'm not.
I understand everybody wants a better life.
Everybody wants a raise.
Everybody wants higher pay.
Everybody would like we all do.
The argument's always been how do you get it?
I come from the school, you earn it yourself.
That happens to be old fashioned and out of favor with a lot of liberals who think that's unfair.
There ought to be more equity.
That's what the argument is about.
But every every chance we get, we defend people who work on this program every day.
Those are the people that we do support.
Not asking for freebies, not asking for what other people have just because they have it.
Yes, sir, rebub.
I just was told a slew of emails are coming into the T website, the customer website, from police officers all over the country who got it.
They understood what I was talking about, and they support their saying Scott Walker's win in Wisconsin.
What's going on the T site?
We got another sweepstakes going here, folks.
You know, Father's Day is uh is right around the corner, and I have a really unique opportunity for you to get a gift for dad or uh you know, not a pair of socks or a tie or anything like that.

That's right.
We're essentially giving away two forces here.
And they will play around the golf, not just any golf course, but at the private course, that is rated number one in Florida, Trump International, right here in Palm Beach.
I've played it a number of times.
We called, we called Mr. Trump and asked him if if uh we could include his course in the sweepstakes.
He was ecstatic.
He uh he offered it uh with with happiness and a lot of pleasure.
Uh and it's a great place.
It is twenty-seven holes.
You can make it as hard or as easy as you want.
It's uh it's a Fazio course.

I might stop by, beat some balls with you on the range, might even play a hold or two.
Can't guarantee that, but it's possible.
Now, in addition to these two grand prize winners, there'll be ten first place winners that get brand new driver and uh really classy, not some cheap throwaway, golf bag.

And here's Mike in North Colwell, New Jersey.
This is um Sopranos country.
It is Rush.
Sopranos countries, North Coldwell, New Jersey.
How are you doing, Mike?
I'm fine.
Uh Rush.
Uh what percentage of Obama supporters do you think will change their minds about him because of these revelations about a membership in a socialist uh third party.
I don't think any of his supporters have changed their mind.
I well now wait a minute.
Now it depends.
I think if the truth be known, if the election were today, I think Obama would lose huge.
I think it would be a landslide defeat, and I mean this.
And my point in telling you this, I think a lot of I'm not even going to call them supporters.
I think a lot of people who voted for Obama in 08 have already decided they're not going to again.
Whether he's a member of a socialist party or not, they just don't like what he's done.
They now realize he's he's is phony.
I'm thinking about the Julia Roberts uh types.
You know, they there's nothing that's going to change their minds about this guy.
No, because their votes are not about policy.
Their votes are not about what Obama's done or what he's going to do.
Their votes are all about associations.
Well, I certainly agree, and I certainly my mother, your neighbor, would not uh is not going to change her mind either.
It's beyond she's beyond hope.
Well, is that just because she's a committed Democrat or she just love Obama?
Uh committed Democrat, committed Democrat.
She even took the Obama magnets off her off her refrigerator.
But she's gonna vote for Obama.
Why did she take the Obama magnets off the refrigerator?
I don't know.
I really don't know.
Then why are you so convinced she's gonna vote for her if she took the Obama?
I talk to her all the time.
Well, here's the thing about this story.
Stanley Kurtz story, it's National Review Online.
The mainstream media is not going to pick it up.
So in truth, there aren't going to be a whole lot of Obama voters who hear about it.
Your mom, unless you tell her, may not hear about it.
I agree.
If it's not in the Palm Beach Post.
Well, it won't be in the Palm Beach Post.
I guarantee it.
The only reference to it in the Palm Beach Post would be how Stanley Kurtz is a right-wing extremist and it'd be a story trying to discredit him.
No, no, no.
But I think a lot of people voted for Obama who had no they weren't voting for him for policy.
They weren't voting for him for specifics.
They were voting the hope and change thing, they were voting the messianic thing, they were voting hated Bush, wanted to get out of Iraq, thought America was hated in the world.
The guy sounded smart.
I give you every reason under the sun as nothing to do with policy.
Then all of a sudden, and there were a lot of people who voted for him because they wanted to be able to run around and say, I voted the black guy, I'm not a racist.
Now, after three and a half years, I I get every election that we've had since is a referendum on Obama.
Do not doubt me.
People do not want this.
When we've got the New York Times CBS poll, 24% of the American people hope Obamacare is upheld.
Sixty-seven percent, sixty-three, sixty-four, whatever it is, two-thirds of the American people want Obamacare overturned by the Supreme Court.
I bet 24% number, I kind of believe it, actually.
I think that is your hardcore Obama left.
And the others that vote for him are just doing it for reasons that you and I would never incorporate in determining for whom to vote.
You mentioned Julia Roberts and actors and actresses.
That's that's all he had to do to continue to own Hollywood was to come out for gay marriage.
And that's why he did it.
That's why he did it.
To keep Hollywood writing checks.
Pure and simple.
It's why he did it.
But the bloom is off the rose.
Obama's policies lead nowhere that most people want to go.
So I I um I don't I when you ask the question how many of his supporters would abandon him because of this.
The best way to answer that is, and it's by a long shot, not everybody that voted for Obama was a supporter.
This is what may be the easiest way to understand the fluidity of the electorate.
I wouldn't put a percentage on it.
That'd be a wild guess, but I think it's a significant percentage of people that voted for Obama.
We're not supporters.
We're not dyed in the wool, believed in his policies and wanted him to do what.
He didn't tell us he was gonna do any of this.
He didn't promise any, not publicly.
He didn't, he did he in fact he was promising just the opposite.
All kinds of job growth, a rebirth of the country, salaries going up, everybody loving each other.
The exact opposite in spades is what's happened.
And I'm just telling you, a significant number of the people that voted for him were not supporters.
They had other reasons that were surface, shallow, specious, and those people aren't going to vote for him again.
We'll be back.
Let me put it this way.
I am convinced some people voted for Obama in 2008 to prove that they weren't racist.
You know it, and I know it.
Now, what's gonna happen in 2012 is that some people are gonna vote against Obama to prove that they're not stupid.
You understand, folks, really, now I uh if the election were today, it would be the biggest blowout that you could possibly imagine.
You imagine somebody coming out of ballot box today said they proudly voted for Obama.
If the election were today, yeah, I voted Obama.
What?
Who could back up a vote?
Who could explain a positive reason why would anybody vote for this guy other than a committed ideological loyal party member or activist?
Just didn't the car.
There's nothing to vote for here.
And there's no great fear out there on the other side.
Look at Scott.
Look at what Scott Walker's doing.
Oh, I'll tell you, the the stars are lining up pretty much as I thought they would.
Well, pretty much as I hoped that they would.
Let's go to the audio sound bites, grab soundbites.
Let's get 23, since I mentioned this.
We'll do 23 before Obama and the double entendre.
Here's Chris Rock.
He's on the Today Show this morning.
The co-host is Ann Curry, and he's got a new movie out, Madagascar III.
Ann Curry said, if you could be any animal in the animal kingdom, Chris, what would it be?
I'll take the zebra, you know, in honor of our zebra president, you know?
Black and white, white and black.
That sounded like the Jefferson.
That sounded like George.
I love our president, but he's you know, he's black and white.
He appeals to all.
And that's what I'm going for.
You know.
We ignore the president's whiteness, but it's there.
It's there.
What does that mean?
What does it mean when you ignore the president's white?
See how these people think?
Do you see how these people feel?
What are you ignoring, Rock, when you ignore the whiteness?
So I think Obama's black and white, but he's red all over.
Zebra.
But what is what are you ignoring?
What are you not seeing when you s when you when you realize he's the little white Chris?
What's what's that tell you?
He's not happy about it.
Here's Clinton.
This is what started this double entendre thing.
He's at a lesbian gay bi transgender campaign fundraiser in Beverly Hills last night, and he uh he's talking about Ellen de Generis and his is his wife, the first lady, Muchel My Bell Obama.
I want to thank uh my uh wonderful friend who uh accepts a little bit of teasing about Michelle beating her in push-ups.
Uh but I think she claims Michelle didn't go all the way down.
That's what I heard.
That's what I heard.
The uh so the uh I just want uh I want to set the record straight.
Uh Michelle outdoes me in push-ups as well.
Now, you heard that.
You haven't seen the pictures.
Well, maybe you have.
I have not seen the video attached to it.
But clearly the crowd thought he was making a joke.
Now just stick with me.
And the crowd thought he was making a joke.
Michelle didn't go all the way down.
Now, I admittedly talking about push-ups with Ellen de Generis.
But he had the proper comedic pause.
He didn't sound embarrassed.
They're claiming the media trying to cover up the first report Obama's double entendre.
Then they realized, wait a minute, it's not gonna look good if we report.
We think it's cool.
We think it's hip.
We love Obama talking this way, the press, but it's not gonna look good if we report that Obama's actually talking about his wife this way.
So they started an immediate cover-up, say he didn't know what he was saying.
It was totally innocent.
Look at he couldn't possibly have meant this on purpose.
UK guardian, politico, everybody.
He couldn't have meant, he didn't mean no, no.
He's he's so clean and pure as the wind-driven snow.
He had no clue what he said.
He was so innocent.
They don't out of their way.
Covered up.
Here, Ashley Banfield this morning on CNN.
I want to be very, very clear.
This was a scripted speech that the president gave.
This was talking about the Ellen DeGeneres show when uh Michelle Obama appeared and did the push-ups contest.
That moment, I gotta be honest with you.
If you watch that tape over again, again, transcripts aside, watch the tape.
Some people could easily say that the president was a bit blindsided by that line, did not expect it to be a double entendre.
And he looked somewhat crestfallen afterwards.
Also tried to stop the crowd with his hands.
He kept doing this, tried to stop them from laughing.
I'm just curious about the fallout from this and whether there's a speechwriter somewhere who's about to get the axe.
So, you see, the cover-up was on.
He didn't even, he was so shocked, he didn't know the line was coming.
And he read the line.
Is a speech writer gonna get canned or the teleprompter operator gonna get canned?
Use you heard her.
They're doing their best to reposition this as some Doomkoff innocent, had no clue what he said, embarrassed by it.
What are they asking us to believe here?
Seriously.
