Time Text
Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 24 7 Podcast.
Hey, hey, fuck a quick uh quick question here.
Would it matter to you?
If you found out that Mitt Romney was a member of a socialist third party back in the 1990s, who wanted to basically make America like a uh a Western European socialist democracy?
Would that matter to you?
It would it would it matter to you if Romney were a member of the uh Nazi Party uh back in the 90s?
You think it would disqualify Ronnie?
If Romney, if you found out that Romney was a member of a this is a left-wing socialist third party and did everything he could to cover it up and lie about it, that matter to you now in 2012.
That's that's uh that you'd give him the thumb.
He's gone.
If it that's right.
Well, would it what it would matter to you if uh Barack Obama uh uh was learned was a member of a third-party socialist party who had as its objective to transform America into a Western European socialist type democracy.
What would that in 2012 would that would that matter to you?
Other than the Democrat Party, right?
Yeah, other than that would that would that would matter to you.
Well, because in in Obama's case, it's true.
Hi folks, how are you?
Rush Limboy, and we're here at 800-282-2882.
If you want to be on the program, email address, L Rushbo at EIB net.com.
Stanley Kurtz, who writes at National Review and National Review Online, has been tracking, it's almost been a career move for Kurtz the last four years, been tracking the radical past of Barack Obama.
He's one of the well, he did the best at ferreting it out.
He's one of the few who's had any interest in it in the uh mainstream journalism community, uh as it were.
He has written a book we have interviewed, we've talked with Stanley Kurtz for the Limbaugh Letter, uh, I think a couple of occasions about this.
And he now has a post, an update based on more research, Stanley Kurtz does.
Obama's third party history on the evening of January 11, 1996.
While Mitt Romney was in the final years of his run as the head of Bain Capital, Barack Hussein Kardashian.
Oh, oh, by the way, do you know they're really irritated by that?
They are really irritated that I'm calling him Barack Hussein Kardashian.
And I got to thinking it actually you could say it's an insult to the Kardashians because they have started businesses.
They have employed people.
Obama's not done some of the things the Kardashians have done.
Now they both star in reality TV shows.
Uh Obama as celebrity of the United States.
Here, grab audio soundbite number uh number two.
Say we're already out of order.
I told Ed this would be the fifth soundbite.
Yeah, let me make it the first soundbite.
Now we gotta find it.
Because I didn't know if I put it in the right order.
It's hang on just a second.
Uh, this gets frustrated.
Here we go.
His uh uh on Air Force One yesterday was a gaggle, press gaggle.
Carney, the spokes kid, walks back to the press section of Air Force One, and they have a little gaggle.
It's a it's a QA.
Reporter yells at Carney, and they had this little back and forth.
Rush Lemba is referring to him as Barack Kardashian.
What is the response?
Two words.
Donald Trump.
Next question.
Ha ha ha.
Two words.
Donald Trump.
Next you think that the spokes kid was waiting for that question.
I think the spokes kid was waiting for the question.
So anyway, they're bothered by it, folks.
The Rack Hussein Kardashian.
And he spent he spent more time fundraising than you know what the press is all a Twitter about right now.
I'm gonna get to it here just a second.
The press is all a Twitter.
Obama speaking to a gay group at a fundraiser, talked about how his wife doesn't go all the way down.
Obama was uh talking about exercise and push-ups.
And there was a contest apparently between Muchell and Ellen de Generus, and apparently Muchell can do more push-ups than Ellen de Generous, and Obama was explaining it by saying that Muchel doesn't go all the way down.
And then he said she can do more push-ups than he can do because she doesn't go all the way down.
Well, the place broke up.
They erupted in laughter, and Obama, according to the video, as a blank look on his face like he doesn't understand what they're laughing at.
So the political does a story and talks about Obama's double on Tondre.
They clearly think Obama's making a sex joke about his wife.
And they thought it was hip and cool.
I mean, this is Mr. Cool, Mr. Oh, wow, what a guy.
What he's got is talking to the lesbian gay and bisexual transgender bunch raising money and talks to his wife doesn't go all the way down.
And then they started, you know what?
Maybe we better uh that actually doesn't look hip and cool.
It's talking about his own wife that way.
So now the media is in a total spin cover up.
They're trying to uh encourage the administration, trying to persuade media outlets not to run the video or the audio.
We have it, you'll hear it in a moment.
And they're saying it's not a double entendre.
He was just, he was telling the truth.
He was talking about, they even got witnesses now who say they've seen Michelle Obama do push-ups, and she doesn't go all the way down.
Now the witnesses are saying Michelle doesn't go all the way down in push-ups, and they're saying Barack was total innocence.
He didn't know what he was saying.
In fact, here is the story on it from the UK Guardian, a guy named Oliver Berkman, double on Tondre.
Did Obama make a Lewinsky joke?
Is basically what, of course, he uses the actual BJ word here in the headline.
Yeah.
So Berkman says, did Obama actually make a Lewinsky joke?
Then no, he didn't.
Quick thought experiment.
You're the president, one of the most prudish nations on earth.
Would you call this one of the most prudish nations on earth?
This guy from the UK Guardian thinks we are.
Okay, you're the president of one of the most prudish nations on earth.
You're generally accepted, even by your enemies to be a masterful speech maker.
Not here.
That's what we've been saying.
There's nothing that is real.
Not great at anything.
There's anyway, sidetracked.
You're giving a speech at which you are fully aware of the media's president and a president, and you know that any remark you make might be blasted around the nation and the planet in a matter of seconds.
So here's the question, and think carefully now.
Do you deliberately crack a dirty joke about your wife, the first lady having oral sex with Ellen de Generis who's hosting the event?
It's not a terribly difficult question, is it?
You don't do it.
And sure enough, while addressing supporters of the lesbian gay bisexual transgender leadership council at Beverly Hills on a Wednesday night.
Obama didn't.
So how come a story that was until the middle of this morning headlined Obama's double on Tandre is currently the most red on politico?
Buzzfeed wants to know did Obama just make a Lewinsky joke?
And they go, this this guy writes three pages On this, trying to persuade his readers, there's no way the president of the United States would make this kind of a joke about his wife.
Think about it.
The assumption is he's too classy, country's too prudish, doesn't disrespect his wife, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
But all the media outlets at first ran stories based on Obama purposely told it a little funny here.
Now they're going back and they're looking at it and they say, you know what?
I don't think he meant to tell a joke.
Look at his face there.
It's got a blank look on it, so everybody starts laughing and he looks lost.
He doesn't know why everybody's laughing.
So it's much ado about nothing, and they're trying to get the video buried, and it is pretty much.
Can you imagine Laura Bush getting down on the floor and doing push-ups?
Uh on the Ellen show.
Can you see that?
I'm just asking.
Whether you go all the way down or not, can you see Laura Bush going on the Ellen show and doing push-ups on the floor with a lesbian TV host?
Or what are the hetero host?
It doesn't matter.
They're doing it with Oprah.
Can you can you imagine uh with Gail King?
Well, on Oprah doing push-ups, it's about like trying to imagine me do them.
Ha ha ha ha ha.
Yeah, I took the line out of your mouth.
So anyway, we'll have the audio coming up.
But I just also the Stanley Kurtz piece.
Um let me give you a pull quote on this.
Now, folks, I have to tell you that the level of deceit and cover-up around the election of Barack Kardashian.
Nothing short of jaw dropping.
Well, you read not just this by Stanley Kurtz, some of his previous stuff that he's uncovered about Obama and his radical past, his association, it goes it goes beyond Alinsky.
Here's a here's a pull quote.
The documents reveal that the new party, Capitol N, Capital P, that's the third party Obama was a member of.
Documents reveal that the new party's central aim was to move the United States steadily closer to European social democracy, a goal that Mitt Romney has also attributed to Obama.
New party leaders disdained mainstream Democrats.
They thought they were tools of business, and they promised instead to create a partnership between elected officials and local community organizations.
The goal being is socializing the American economy to an unprecedented degree.
It's exactly what's happened.
This party that Obama was a member of, it's exactly what he's done in his three and a half years.
So The party's official statement of principles, uh, which candidates seeking endorsement from the Chicago chapter were asked to support, called for a peaceful revolution, and included redistributive proposals substantially to the left of the Democrat Party.
Now, this is in 1996.
A Democrat Party, you can't get to the left of them anymore.
You can't, Hitler was to the right of the Democrat Party when it came to social policy.
You can't get there.
Another poll quote, let us see whether a press that let candidate Obama off the hook in 2008 and that in 2012 was obsessed with his youthful love letters, will now refuse to report that President Obama once joined a leftist third party, and that he hid that truth from the American people in order to win the presidency.
That's what Kurtz has uncovered.
So I just ask you, would it matter to you?
If you learned that Romney was a member of a socialist third party in the 90s that had as its objective to socialize this country and make it look like a Western European social democracy outside the two-party system, would it bother?
Would it be relevant to you today?
Also, Romney, by the way.
Romney's out with a with a when I first saw, I said, what's the big deal about this?
And I thought about it, and it is a big deal.
He's saying, I would have put this a different way, but what Romney's charge is, and it's it's got legs, saying that Obama basically punted economic recovery so that he could focus fully on getting health care passed, that there was a greater historical legacy opportunity in being the first president to get nationalized health care in America than reviving an economy which is going to happen on its own anyway at some point.
So Romney is accusing Obama of purposely ignoring the plunging economy and focusing exclusively on health care for purely personal aggrandizement and of course policy reasons.
You digest all that.
I have to take a break and obscene profit timeout.
Come back and detail all this shortly.
Another book called from Stanley Kurtz.
And I just want to read this again letter.
Let us see whether a press that let candidate Obama off the hook in 2008 and that in 2012 is obsessed with his youthful love letters to composite girlfriends, will now refuse to report that Obama once joined a leftist third party.
I don't think there's any question they're going to refuse to report it.
We got an entire biography out now by David Moranis about Obama, and he doesn't mention it.
He mentions what Kurtz refers to here as the youthful love letters to the composite girlfriends.
But in this giant biography, there's not a mention of Obama having joined the new party.
This is important stuff.
The press not talking about it, covering it up.
A candidate in 2008, who lied and did everything he could to cover up all of his past associations.
We were not supposed to talk about Bill Ayers to the point people are now tired of hearing about, at least on our side.
We're not supposed to talk about Jeremiah Wright, and we're not supposed to talk about Jeremiah right now either.
And we're not supposed to talk about Bernadine Dorn, Villair's wife, and we're not supposed to talk about any of it.
No, no, no, no.
We're supposed to talk about I don't know, whatever they permit us to talk about.
But Kurtz has gone back, and he's dug this up on the evening of January 11th, 1996, Romney final years of the head of Maine Capitol.
Obama formally joined the new party, which was deeply hostile to the mainstream of the Democrat Party and even to American capitalism.
And he's running against American capitalism now.
His speech at Osawatomi, Kansas, I keep citing it.
This past year, in the past six months, Obama was redoing a great speech F.D. R. Churchill made, Asawatomi.
He said, America hasn't worked.
It's never worked, he said.
Capitalism, America, greatness.
It never happened.
200 plus years have been a failure.
Only now, in the last three years and a half, are we finally on the right track?
So everything Kurtz has dug up here is factual and true by virtue of what Obama's doing today.
In 2008, writes Stanley Kurtz, National Review.
Candidate Barack Kardashian deceived the American public about his potentially damaging tie to this third party.
The issue remains as fresh as today's headlines as Romney is arguing that Obama is trying to move the country toward European-style social democracy, which was precisely the new party's goal.
In late October 2008, when I wrote here at National Review Online that Obama had been a member of the new party.
His campaign sharply denied it, calling My claim a crackpot smear.
Fight the Smears, an official Obama campaign website, staunchly maintained that Barack has been a member of only one political party, the Democrat Party.
Kurtz writes that he rebutted that, but the debate was never taken up by the mainstream media.
Recently obtained evidence from the updated records of Illinois Acorn at the Wisconsin Historical Society now definitely establishes that Obama was a member of the new party.
He also signed a contract as a member of the party, promising to publicly support and associate himself with the new party while in office.
Minutes of the meeting on January 11th.
Kurtz found him.
I've got him.
I'll read partially when we get back.
And we're back.
It's Rush Limbaugh having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have.
Telephone numbers 800-282-2882.
Email address Ilrushball at EIBNet.com.
Hey, Snerdley.
You remember the phone call you had from the guy didn't hang on yesterday that said I was ticking off all the cops.
When I was talking about the union situation in Wisconsin, that I was ticking off all the cops.
Municipal employee union union members in it at the very ultra conservative.
And I was driving them away.
We got this email at the two if by T customer website.
Thanks for the T. I am a police officer in South Florida in Wellington.
I'm a union member.
I know all Russia's done to support police officers, including donating to families of offers kill officers killed in a line of duty.
He never takes the praise, he just gives.
God bless Rush.
I'm see, this is why I knew that the cops out there who are in the know were not going to have a problem.
What?
Yeah, see, I'm not trying to single out the cop.
Keep that guy.
He's from Laredo, Texas.
Keep hey Marco.
The cops know.
We'll get to this in just a second.
I just wanted, I just got this email.
They sent it to me from the uh the T website.
By the way, T, last day today to register for the latest sweepstakes, which is uh a huge golf excursion here in Palm Beach to play on Donald Trump's number one in the state of Florida course.
We've set it up with the Trumpster.
He's excited about it.
He's very pleased to let us offer his course as part of the Sweepstakes Prize.
Two Forsums.
You know, we go to twoifyt.com and look at this.
I'll have all the details later on.
This is the last day you have to be registered.
All you gotta do is go to two if by t.com and shop.
Now you remember, by the way, all the time the press spent digging up the third party ties of Todd Palin.
Remember all of the stink they tried to raise about that?
That Todd Palin joined some Alaskan independence third party.
So Kurtz has uncovered it.
Here are the minutes from the January 11, 1996 New Party Chicago chapter.
Quote Barack Obama, candidate for state Senate, 13th legislative district, gave a statement to the membership of the new party and answered questions.
He signed the new party candidate contract.
He requested an endorsement from the new party.
He joined the new party.
It's from their minutes.
Unless they're lying to their own diary.
Unless the new party is lying to itself in its own written record.
Obama joined the new party, swore allegiance, and has done everything he can to hide it from everybody.
And the press is a willing accomplice in keeping it a secret.
And it's just irrelevant question.
See, I don't think there's any doubt that he's a socialist.
You look at what he's done and how he's done it and what his objectives are.
The conclusion draws itself.
But he knows and he knew how harmful it would be should this association come out.
The press and everybody else willingly covered this up.
We go back, I could play it every day.
Charlie Rose and Tom Brokoff.
Five days before the election.
I don't know who Barack Obama is.
I don't know what books he reads, Charlie.
I don't know who's inspired him.
I don't know who his heroes are.
It's an interesting question.
I don't know.
I don't know.
These guys went on for a whole hour.
All they didn't know about Obama.
They're journalists.
It's their job to find out.
They didn't care.
Now I didn't mention this two days ago, but now this has context and relevance, and it's hilarious.
It's an AP story from Monday, June 4th, so it's three days ago by a guy named David Cray.
And the headline, Obama a Socialist?
Many scoff, but clam persists.
And I, your host, am even mentioned in this article.
When President Barack Obama's re-election campaign unveiled its new slogan, some conservative critics are quick to pounce.
Forward, they asserted, is a word long associated with Europe's radical left, its choice reaffirmed a contention that Obama's a socialist, a claim that surfaced early in the 08 campaign, it's persisted ever since.
New Obama slogan long ties to Marxism Socialism read a headline The Washington Times.
A column by Russian Russian immigrant Svetlana Kunin for Investors Business Daily said Obama seeks to move America forward at total government involvement in people's lives.
Now, Mr. Cray says this is uh far from a new phenomenon.
The use of socialists as a political epithet in the U.S. dates back to pre-Civil War days.
But to many historians and political scientists and actual socialists as well.
The persistent claim that Obama is a socialist lacks credence.
He's widely seen as a pragmatist within the Democrat Party, who's had ample access success, raising campaign money from wealthy Wall Street capitalists.
Yeah, to screw them thereafter.
Even some of his strongest critics acknowledge his regime hasn't sought one of the classic forms of socialism, government control of the nation's means of production.
What do you think the whole green energy thing is about, Mr. Cray?
You realize these people can't make the giant power grab all the time.
What do you think buying General Motors was all about?
You buy General Motors and then you force people to go out and buy electric cars.
You fund the solar industry business and the wind business, and then you you you fund them right into bankruptcy.
Controlling the means of production, you put bands on light bulbs.
I mean, what are we talking about here?
Futility of the denial of AP.
Terrence Bell, political scientist, Arizona State University, said socialist has gained currency as an anti-Obama slur because the L word has lost its shock value.
No, it hasn't.
No, it's because words mean things.
Mr. Cray and Mr. Mr. Mr. Ball, it is, Terrence Ball.
Words mean things.
Obama just gave the nation's highest civilian honor, the presidential medal of freedom, to an avowed socialist Marxist leader, Dolores Huerta, who's the honorary chair of the Democrat Socialists of America.
Why is he covering it up if it's no big deal, Mr. Crairy?
Why is he going out of his way to make sure that nobody reports the existence of and his ties to the new party?
Where am I mentioned?
I don't know, I haven't read it for radio host Rush Limbaugh, most listened to radio talk show host in history, was among several conservatives who chided Romney for his reluctance to call Obama a socialist outright.
Limbaugh said on one of his most listened to in the country shows, you know, I keep forgetting the fact that Obama is black.
Why can't we call him a socialist?
That slipped my mind because when I look at Obama, I don't see black.
I see a socialist.
I see a Marxist.
Still do, by the way.
So anyway, the story's out, Stanley Kurtz has it, it will be ignored.
The press, as in this AP story three days ago, going on and on and on about how no way Obama's a socialist is just a uh a panicked, typical extreme right wing criticism.
Speaking of what Bill Clinton off the reservation.
Oh, oh, folks.
I'm gonna tell you something.
There's a secret meeting going on.
Series of meetings.
Series of secret meetings taking place between and among senators of both parties.
Twelve of them.
It's not secret anymore because the politico has the story.
Secret talks underway about fiscal cliff.
The political claims that twelve senators from both parties are secretly huddling over plans to avoid the fiscal cliff awaiting us on January of 2013.
That's tax-agetting.
Senator Dick Turbin of Illinois says that the senators are trying to come up with measures that quote, will restore confidence in the business community, unquote.
But if their measures would restore confidence in the business community, why do you have to keep secret?
Is my question.
If these 12 senators are meeting, six Republicans, six Democrats, and what I'm told, if they're meeting in secret to try to come up with ideas to restore confidence in the business community, why not do it in public?
If you really want to restore confidence, why do you have to keep it hidden?
Well, here's the answer.
These talks must be done secretly and can never be made public.
That's quote from the story.
These talks must be done secretly and can never be made public because secret talks will allow Democrat senators to make entitlement cuts and Republican senators to increase taxes without either side getting blasted in the political arena.
In other words, these senators know that they're having this secret meeting and they're plotting things that end up being essentially governing against the will of the people.
I mean, we know.
We've learned by now, cuts to entitlements never materialize.
Tax increases always do.
Besides, most of us know that we don't have a tax problem.
We have a spending problem.
And increasing taxes just increases our spending program.
So there's a secret meeting, and it's a replay of what's going on in public.
The Democrats promise entitlement reform, but they've got to do it privately because their left-wing extreme cooks would go absolutely nuts, and the old folks, if they found out about it, would start throwing bricks at their cars.
Like they did to Dan Roste Rostinkowski.
The Republicans, who can't publicly say they're going to increase taxes, privately will talk to the Democrats about doing just that in exchange for all these entitlement cuts.
And together, working in secret, without any arrows being thrown, these brave 12 senators can come up with a plan that when publicly revealed will be greeted with love, adoration, and total sport.
But they couldn't do it in public.
This is in the politico.
I think there's something else at work here.
This article in the politico ends up saying that all that'll probably come out of this is a temporary extension of all the Bush tax cuts, as Clinton initially suggested this week.
Oh, about that.
Clinton's aides are saying that he screwed up and they're blaming his age.
Clinton's own support staff is saying privately to the media, look, this uh all this pro-positive talk about Romney is just getting old.
A guy's getting old.
The implication is he says things he doesn't know.
I mean, they're not using words like dementia or any of that, but the implication is clear.
This guy's aging.
He doesn't know what he's saying sometimes.
You've got to cut him some select.
That's Clinton's own people.
According to the politico.
And meanwhile, Obama's still out there saying his wife didn't go all the way down, doing push-ups with Ellen.
If if the word liberal, this this AP story thing that we're only calling Obama socialist because liberal has lost its punch.
If liberal has lost its punch, its shock value, then why do liberals want us to now call them progressives?
Hmm.
Doesn't matter.
Liberal works every time it's tried.
Socialist.
You know why socialist hasn't worked in the past?
It's like communist hasn't worked in the past.
I will tell you exactly why.
I realized this many moons ago.
Little Indian lingo there, little Elizabeth Warren lingo.
The American people simply don't want to believe that they had elected a socialist.
When you start calling members of the Democrat Party who were communists, it didn't work.
People didn't want to believe it.
It was too outside the realm of what was reasonable.
The communists were people like Castro and Gorbachev, well, not Gorba, they loved him.
Khrushchev, Juri Andropov, Brezhnev, big eyebrows and stuff, mean guys.
Mao Tseiton.
The idea that an American could even be one of those people was just no So calling somebody communist didn't work.
Socialist, much the same cachet.
Now, I think it's profoundly different.
Socialists are happy to be called that.
There are many socialists in the Democrat Party.
One of them identifies himself as Bernie Sanders.
It still is not helpful.
It can still be an albatross around somebody's neck.
That's why they don't want it used.
Because now it does have cachet.
Now it does work.
Because now we've got one.
People begin to see what happens when an entire political party just drifted into socialism and doesn't hide it anymore.
What happens to the country when they get power?
And you're seeing the voters' reaction to it if you just have the honesty to believe it, 2010 midterms, every election where Obama and his policies or his representatives have been on the ballot since the presidential race in 2008.
Every election.
The real question going into the Wisconsin recall of Scott Walker, real question is what made them think they were going to win?
What made them think they had a chance?
They had already tried to recall Walker.
That didn't work.
Senate members.
Walker had already beaten Barrett in 2010.
The unions and the Obama allies hadn't won anything in Wisconsin.
What made them think they were going to win this?
They were engaged in blind faith.
And they thought all these bust-in thugs from out of state and all the money.
But it was never in the cards.
So the point is it's something that they still, when it comes to Obama, have to do everything they can to shield and hide.
Because even though that's what's happening, see the word accusing somebody being a socialist today works.
Ten years ago, it would have been met with ad you're going, that's nuts, Rush.
You're too extreme.
I don't want to hear that.
Come on, it's too easy.
You're being intellectually lazy.
I heard that.
Now it works.
And that's why.
Rather than the other side laughing at it, making jokes, they're trying to do everything they can to hide it.
A New York Times CBS News poll.
67 percent, 67 percent of Americans hope the Supreme Court overturns Obamacare.
67 percent want Obamacare overturned.
The comedian Chris Rock says we forget the white half of Obama.
Chris Rock says he calls him the zebra.
Export Selection
