Time Text
And welcome back, folks.
Great to have you, Rush Limbaugh behind the golden EIB microphone talent on loan from God.
Here at the Limboy Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies.
There are no graduates, there are no degrees, because the learning never stops.
A thrill and a delight to have you with us.
Here's the telephone number, 800-282-2882.
The email address, L Rushmo at EIBNet.com.
Okay, here's the audio from the ad from Obama for America.
Obama running for re-election against Sarah Palin.
Sarah Palin is not on the ballot yet.
She's not running for anything.
I'm looking here at the list.
Do we have do we have Palin reacting to this?
Hang on just a second.
I thought I read that we do, but I don't maybe not.
We don't.
Okay.
May I read, okay, I read where Palin on her Facebook page she reacted to this.
Anyway, here's the ad.
And by the way, this ad uses the same font and the same logos as the HBO movie Game Change, which aired it debutted on Saturday night.
By the way, I'm in a great mood here, folks.
I just got my shipping confirmation for my new iPad.
Just got Apple just sent me my shit.
It's gonna be here on Friday on time.
All right.
At any rate, same look as the movie, Game Change.
The HBO movie on the book.
Same title, game change made Palin out to be, you can imagine what.
Here's the Obama ad.
Barack Obama has never been, I think, uh seen in the conventional, traditional way of uh we who would describe a man of valor and his uh profession as a community organizer.
What went into his thinking was this philosophy of radicalism.
He is bringing us back, Sean, to days that uh you can hearken back to days before the Civil War.
What Barack Obama seems to want to do is go back to before those days when we were in different classes based on income, based on uh color of skin.
Why are we allowing our country to move backwards?
That's it's a 60-second ad.
That's 30 seconds, 36 seconds of it.
That's a portion of the new ad.
The rest of it's graphics and uh what Obama thinks of it all and and so forth.
Um, she's not running.
This is exactly what they have to do.
They have to come up with a villain.
They have to have a demon.
And it's alternately me or Sarah Palin, is the way this has been playing out.
They go back and forth, and they try alternately to take both of us out.
By hook or by crook, usually by crook.
She's not even on the ballot.
She's not even going to be the opponent.
This is all they know how to do.
Democrat Party playbook, page one, page two, war on women, Republicans are stupid, Sarah Palin's a demon, what have you.
Now let's continue with the audio sound bites.
Last night on CNN's Aaron Burnett out front.
She spoke with the Democrat strategist Jamal Simmons about the new poll on Obama's job approval rating.
And there are two, but this is the New York Times CBS poll.
Job approval rating for Obama at an all-time low of 41%.
All-time low of 41%.
Aaron Burnett says to Jamal Simmons, another number I know you'll look at.
Non-college educated white people in the polls.
Why is that so important to you?
And what do you see there for the president?
The president has uh never done particularly well with this group of voters in the 2008 primaries.
He lost a lot of those voters to Senator Clinton.
And again, versus John McCain, those weren't the best voters for him.
But again, it's this number of women in particular that really matter for him.
And he's got to really pay attention for that.
He may not be able to make up a lot of ground when it comes to non-educated white men, but with white women, he really can make up more ground.
And I think we saw some of this issue around contraception and the other battles that have been going on.
There it is.
This is what the whole distraction on contraception's been about.
And after all of it, Obama's at an all-time low.
This CNN analyst, for it what he just said there was for Obama to win, he's got to do better with women because he's given up on white middle class men, which we also told you back in December is when that column by Thomas Edzel ran in the New York Times.
White working class voters Obama's given up on him because they have not yet caved into the welfare system.
They're not part of the welfare state.
Give up on those people.
And now this guy is saying he's got to do better with women.
And that's what all of last week was about doing better with women.
That's what this whole phony contraception stuff was all about when Stephanopoulos introduced it to the Republican presidential campaign in a January 7th debate with a question of Mitt Romney.
And I think, folks, it's safe to say, based on the polling data from the New York Times, Washington Post, it has backfired.
You know it still backfired because I am still here, triumphing each day behind the golden EIB microphone.
Last night in Orlando, Florida, WFTV Eyeball News.
The anchor Greg Warmouth interviewed Obama.
He said, Your opponents say that they can get gas prices down in the $2, $2.50 range.
What do you think Americans should be okay with gasoline price wise?
Well, first of all, nobody believes that.
They know they're you know that's just politics.
Our oil production right now is higher than at any time in the last eight years.
We've seen more new rigs go up.
Uh we're opening up uh millions of acres to oil exploration.
And so the issue here is not that we're not drilling enough.
The problem is we only have two percent of the world's oil reserves, and we use 20% of the world's oil.
Obviously, what we want to do is to get gas prices as low as we can as quickly as we can.
But the most important thing in order to do that is to reduce our demand on oil.
I'll tell you, this is so uh convoluted that you just heard utter incompetence on parade.
You just heard utter lack of qualification for the job.
That answer alone.
I don't care what the question was.
Of course he's not gonna say what Americans ought to pay for gas.
This thing is here at first, he starts out bragging, by the way, he's lying, bragging about all the new oil that's been discussed, all this oil production higher than anything.
I mean, he doesn't like that, though.
Hear he bragging about all this oil production going on?
Then he says the important thing is to reduce our demand.
Oh no, the important thing is a green energy, important thing we gotta do, and then this convoluted 2% of the world's oil reserves, 20% of the world's oil, we're guilty.
We're thieves.
We're selfish.
We ought not be stealing that much of the world's oil.
We've got to reduce it.
This answer, my friends, is utter incompetence.
Now, some political strategists might think it's brilliant.
I'm telling you, in the real world where people listen to the words other people say, that is senseless.
There is irritation in this answer.
There's anger in this answer, there are outright contradictions.
Our oil production right now is higher than at any time.
He's bragging about it, and then he ends up saying we've got to stop that.
Bragging about, and it isn't true, by the way.
The whatever oil production is taking place is happening in spite of him.
He's the one who's not allowing drilling in any new places.
He's the one that has a moratorium on drilling in the Gulf.
He's the one who will not okay the Keystone pipeline.
He's the one seeing to it that we have as little oil production as possible.
But it's an election year, and he knows that you know enough to realize that more oil equals more supply equals less cheaper price for gasoline.
So this is just this is this is embarrassing.
This is what this is.
To brag about all this production going on and then to finish 30 seconds later by criticizing it, By ripping it to shreds.
On the one hand, he beats his chest, what a great accomplishment it is, and then stabs himself in the back.
Reaches around and stabs his own self in the back by suggesting it isn't good.
Now, what c what what kind of mind does this?
What kind of mind takes credit for something that you hate?
And you end up criticizing what you're taking credit for in the same 30-second soundbite.
Who in the world can do that?
Last night in Des Moines, WHO TV, eyeball 13 news, Obama talking about gas prices.
I think the American people understand that we don't have a silver bullet when it comes to gas prices.
But they're hurting right now.
It's like a tax on your paycheck every time you fill up.
And so what I've instructed my team to do, we're looking at every single thing we can do from relieving bottlenecks to trying to see if we can impact internationally how the oil markets are operating.
Ultimately, though, the single most important thing we can do is reduce our dependence on foreign oil.
And the fact that we've reduced our dependence by about a million barrels a day, that over time is going to have a big impact.
It doesn't mean diddlee squat.
Let's say that we have reduced our dependence.
Doesn't mean we've reduced our usage.
The two are not the same thing.
This is this is this is embarrassing.
Well, whatever happened to uh give everybody a tire gauge and make sure your tires are properly inflated as a way of conserving gasoline and dealing with the high gas price.
He said that in 2008.
Why isn't that still used?
No, he did, folks.
No, no, no, no.
Don't doubt me, Obama said it might have been 2009, I don't know when, 2007, 2008, a tire gauge.
Properly inflated tires, that's how you deal with high gas prices.
Another thing.
Remember now I live in Realville.
I'm the mayor.
Ultimately, though, the single most important thing we can do is reduce our dependence on foreign oil.
Would somebody tell me two things?
How do you reduce dependence on foreign oil when this president will not allow drilling anywhere new?
Can't drill an end war in Alaska, cannot drill in the Gulf, cannot go get other supplies, cannot do the Keystone Pipeline.
How in the hell do we reduce our dependence when we cannot increase our own production because of him?
The second question is, the single most important thing we can do is reduce our dependence on foreign.
Would somebody explain to me how that's gonna get gasoline prices down next week?
Or next month?
What does it have to do with an it?
Nothing is the answer.
Reducing our dependence does not mean we are reducing our usage.
By the way, I'm gonna use his own words as proof he don't know what he's talking about.
He's bragging here that we um have reduced our dependence by a million barrels a day.
How come the price isn't going down?
The president here just said that the way to get the price down, most important thing we can do is reduce our dependence.
Well, then he says we've done good on that.
We've reduced our dependence by a million barrels.
Why is the price going up, Mr. President?
Gas usage is way down, how has it lowered the price of gasoline?
Dependence is way down, million barrels a day.
How come the price is going up, Mr. President?
You just said.
The single most important thing we can do is reduce our dependence on foreign oil, and that's gonna get the gas price how.
Oh my brief timeout here, folks, we'll take it.
We'll come back right after this, back before you know it.
Now there's a possibility here that we have to consider on Obama going after Palin.
That is this, when the HBO movie game change, when the movie was written and in production, the Democrats may have seen Palin as a potential candidate, given the Republican field.
They may have thought she might end up getting in a race and win it.
They are scared to death of Sarah Palin.
And for those of you new to the program, understand one thing the Democrat Party will always tell us who they fear by virtue of who they try to destroy.
If they thought Sarah Paylon was actually this stupid fool idiot that she is, they'd be laughing at her, making fun of her.
They would not be afraid of her.
And there would be no need to destroy her.
If she were all those things that she is claimed to be, they claim she is, then she would destroy yourself.
It would take care of itself.
They wouldn't have to further it along.
Same thing with me.
So they may have thought when they were writing and producing Game Change that she could end up in the race, maybe end up get the nomination.
And maybe they're thinking if there is a brokered convention that she could emerge then.
So this could be a preemptive strike on a woman who is essentially a private citizen.
So that's what this could be.
Uh Sarah Palin.
Could very well be that.
Ladies and gentlemen, just never know.
By the way, Michael Steele, the former Republican National Committee Chairman, it was on TV somewhere, I forget where, and he said that he wrote the rules for this Republican primary when he was RNC chairman.
He said he did it because he wanted a brokered convention.
The former chairman of the RNC is saying that what's going on in the Republican primaries is exactly what he wanted.
He wanted a brokered convention.
I don't know if he's be truthful about that, but he's saying it.
He's saying that's what he wanted.
Well, okay, even if the palin ad was already made, if they had spent the money, produced it, they already put the palin ad together that we just aired for you.
Obama campaign, ah, what the heck?
Let's just run it anyway.
We're gonna have a billion dollars.
Let's just run it anyway.
It was it was made by the same people that did the movie game change, or was edited by them.
I mean, it's the same bunch of people.
The movie, the book, the ad.
They're all tied to all of this, all of this is being operated out of the White House.
Say, folks.
As you may remember, two if by tea, my tea, was launched last June.
And the uh intent here, the plan, two if by tea, was it was to become America's patriotic bottled iced tea of choice.
Two if by tea, if for those of you new to the program, these are the best tasting iced teas anywhere.
We've got regular, we got raspberry diet raspberry, we got peach diet peach, we've got blueberry, diet blueberry, we have some others coming.
They are all the best.
And what two if by tea is, it's a modern day twist on the historic reference, one if by land, two if by sea.
Paul Revere fearlessly rode through the streets of Boston warning the British were coming.
Today, we conservatives need to jump on our horses and sound the alarm, the liberals are coming.
Hence two if by tea.
Now, what we're doing because of popular demand, you know, I've always said that we want to keep uh two of my tea on the internet rather than go out in a bunch of different retail places because we love having the direct connection with uh people that buy it, with our customers.
And that's why it's available on the internet.
But the demand uh has gotten almost out of control.
So what we've decided to do, we're opening up our distribution channels to you.
If you have a little mom and pop shop, if you have a retail outlet and you would like to help spread the word by offering two if by tea in your retail stores, or if you'd like to serve two if by tea at a large event that you're having.
We have decided to make that available for you.
This is your chance.
We have a large order inquiry form on our webpage, 2ifbyt.com.
It's under the shop tab.
Websites 2ifyT.com, go to the shop tab and look for the large order inquiry form.
Now this label, we got the best label too, we got the best bottle.
The two if by tea label screams proud to be American.
The iced tea is produced and bottled right here in the United States.
And in addition, two if by tea is a proud sponsor of the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation.
This is an incredible organization that provides scholarships to the children of servicemen and women lost while serving this great country.
That's a great, great sponsor to have, and we're honored to be with the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation.
So if you would like two if by tea in your retail establishment, or you want to be among our first group of grassroots retailers, if people are putting on large port parties or what have you, just visit the large orders form under the shop tab at two if by tea dot com.
It's on the shop page.
The tea is truly exceptional.
Everybody you open the blueberry for you.
Just take unscrew the top on the blueberry.
And you take a whiff, and you think you are smelling blueberry muffin batter.
The peach, you think you are smelling peach cobbler.
And when you taste it, the perfect balance of the flavoring in the tea.
This is not syrup.
It's not fruit juice or syrup.
It's iced tea that you can clearly taste with either the Rad raspberry, the peach or the blueberry.
It's delicious.
Twoify tea.com, the large order inquiry form is under the shop tab.
Brief time out here, folks.
More phone calls from you coming up after this.
Now in this oil drilling, I've got to straighten some things out here.
None of the current drilling for oil Obama was bragging about in that audio clip is due to him.
All of the federal permits that have resulted in an increased oil production are from President Bush.
Obama has issued none.
The rest of the drilling is taking place on private land that the federal government and Obama cannot stop.
Folks, he has not been responsible for any new oil production at all.
For example, during the Bush administration, more than 41,700 drilling permits were approved on federal lands, and it worked.
Price of gasoline went down.
And the Democrats, the Democrats in Congress fought Bush tooth and nail on this.
Now, according to the Heritage Foundation, oil and gas production on federal lands under Obama is down by more than 40% compared to ten years ago.
He's lying.
There's no other word for it.
He's lying.
He's taking credit for increased oil production.
He's got nothing to do with.
It's happening on private land that he can't stop, and he would stop it if he could.
Production of oil and gas on federal lands under Obama down by more than 40% compared to 10 years ago.
2010, by the way, had the lowest number of onshore leases issued since 1984, and the uh Obama regime held only one offshore lease sale in 2011.
Now, we've got breaking news from the AP, and I'm going to have to deal with this.
The Federal Reserve notes better economy after seeing strong job gains leaves policy unchanged.
Really?
Fed notes better economy after strong job gains.
See, we talked about this at the beginning of the program.
This is the problem, folks.
Where is the economic growth with all these new jobs?
John Hilsenrath, a Wall Street Journal, piecing together the job picture puzzle.
Something about the U.S. economy isn't adding up, is how this thing starts out.
Even the Wall Street Journal's befuddled.
At 8.3%, the unemployment rate has fallen, point seven percentage point from a year earlier is down 1.7 percentage points from a peak of 10% in October of 2009.
The number of people filing claims for government unemployment benefits has fallen, yet the economy is barely growing.
Many economists in the past few weeks have again reduced their estimates of growth.
The economy by many estimates is on track to grow at an annual rate of less than two percent the first three months of this year.
The economy expanded just one point seven percent last year.
Chicom economy growing at nine percent, by the way.
And since the final months of 2009, when unemployment peaked, the economy's expanded at a pretty paltry two and a half percent level.
So how can an economy growing so slowly produce such big declines in unemployment.
Now I've got in this stack, I have three news stories, three pieces so far, that indicate that there's something not right here or very odd in the economic numbers, the job numbers.
The people with skin in the game who own businesses, employ people, invest in the private sector, so wait a minute, this there's no growth.
Where are all these jobs coming from?
Folks, we're down two million jobs in the universe of jobs since Obama was elected.
There there is no job growth.
That's the myth.
Everybody is believing that there's job growth.
Yeah, well, job growth from from what baseline.
Job growth from Obama's peak of unemployment, maybe.
But job growth from a baseline of zero?
No.
We are still in a huge net loss of jobs.
Over two million.
That's why there's no economic growth, because these these jobs numbers are incomplete, misleading, statistically stacked against reality.
It's not hard to understand.
It may take guts to say it.
It may take courage to point out the truth about the jobs numbers.
But it is what it is.
There isn't job growth.
And anybody who understands basic math knows this.
Okay.
I promised.
It's time to fulfill.
Back to the phones, Placerville, California.
Hi, Gail.
Thanks so much for waiting and hello.
Hi, Russ.
My point is about energy, but before I get started, I wanted to tell you you are God's gift to women.
You and my wonderful husband Ron.
Thank you.
Thank you very much.
Thanks.
Well, regarding energy, uh, it dawned on me that the Democrats want us to depend on solar, wind, water, and biofuel.
But at the same time, they're telling us that global warming can cause global cooling and that drastic climate change is coming.
So if all that is true, well, the Earth has always had ongoing history of climate change.
The Democrats have an energy policy pushing us to depend on the energy that depends on the climate.
And the climate is changing.
You can end up with solar panels where it starts to continually snow wind turbines where the wind diminishes.
You can have biofuels where you can't grow crops, and hydroelectric where there's nothing but drought.
So they can't really have it both ways, but with oil, natural gas, and nuclear, you don't have that problem.
Right.
What you have just rather brilliantly and eloquently illustrated is the abject failure of a command and control economy by smart elites who haven't one day's experience in the private sector.
Folks, if you're new to the program, something else you need to know.
There's nobody in the Obama administration, none of his czars, none of his advisors, who've ever really run a business or created jobs.
They don't know what they're talking about.
They are people that hang around the faculty lounge at their universities and theorize all day about how perfect they could make life if only they, smartest people in the world, were in charge of it.
Only they could make everybody happy, everybody equal, everything fair.
Uh no discrimination, no this and they theorize on all this, how to make it happen.
Um they don't realize the weather is changeable.
They don't realize that the wind may stop blowing.
They don't realize that clouds may cover the sun someday.
They also don't realize that none of that stuff is practical anyway.
As I say, until you can get a jet plane off the ground with these alternative fuels, don't talk to me.
It's an utter waste of discussion.
Now, there may be an alternative fuel down the pike someday that does all this.
And if there is, I'm very confident suggesting that some bright entrepreneur in some basement in the private sector is going to invent it.
And not because some president demands that he do it.
Or not because some president throws money at him.
He's going to do it because he's passionate, creative, brilliant, and has freedom.
You know, Obama talks about natural gas.
Do you realize, folks, that you only get natural gas when you drill for oil?
Or better stay that you have to drill for natural gas.
Natural gas is a fossil fuel.
Obama talks about it as though it's some brilliant, clean, revolutionary new fuel.
But you got to drill to get it.
It's down there in pockets in the rock in the shale.
It's hidden down there.
And most often natural gas is found in oil fields.
Just is.
Thanks very much, Gail.
Folks, listen to this.
This is a story from the Dayton, Ohio Daily News.
Brian, you're listening to this.
Before getting a prescription for Viagra or other erectile dysfunction drugs, men would have to see a sex therapist, receive a cardiac stress test, and get a notarized affidavit signed by a sexual partner affirming impotency if State Senator Nina Turner has her way.
She's a Democrat from Cleveland.
She introduced Senate Bill 307 in Ohio last week.
She's a critic of efforts to restrict abortion and contraception for women, and of course, there is no effort to restrict contraception.
There is no contraception is as available as ice cream cones.
There is no obstacle to getting contraception of any kind.
Nevertheless, she's described here as a critic of efforts to restrict abortion and contraception for women.
Nina Turner says she's concerned about men's reproductive health.
Her bill joins a trend of women lawmakers submitting bills regulating men's health.
See, we've got to get even with these men, these predators.
Turner said if state policymakers want to legislate women's health through measures like House Bill 125 known as the Heartbeat Bill, they should also be able to legislate men's reproductive health.
So this woman wants to make sure that a man who wants in Viagra has to see a sex therapist, has to get a cardiac stress test, and then a notarized affidavit signed by a sexual partner affirming impotence.
Yep, that's her up against that's the Democrat Party.
And this from the Free Beacon, the Washington Free Beacon, Michelle Obama defended Let's Move her anti-obesity program in an interview released Monday.
The first lady was asked to respond to critics of the program who say the government shouldn't be telling people how to eat by an 11-year-old.
An eleven-year-old girl named Topangasina, a reporter for Scholastic News in Florida, asked Mrs. Obama this question.
How do you respond to critics who say the government should not be telling people how to eat or to stay alive?
Michelle Obama said, you know what?
That's absolutely right.
And let's move.
My program doesn't do that.
Yes, it does, Mrs. Obama.
I am willing to bet that there's not a single drive-by reporter of any kind who has dared ask this question of Michelle Obama.
But an 11-year-old little girl says, what about all this?
Critics say the government shouldn't be telling people how to eat or stay active.
First question.
That Michelle Obama gets challenging her power over the American people as first lady comes from an eleven-year-old.
How do you respond to critics who say the government should not be telling people how to eat or stay active?
Let's move doesn't do that.
Let's move is not about having government tell people what to do, because uh government doesn't have all the answers.
We're asking everyone to do their part.
Parents have to uh make some changes at home, but they need the information to be able to make those choices, and they have to have access to affordable foods in their communities, fresh and healthy foods, right?
We need government to do its part, but we need businesses to do their part as well.
There's Mrs. Obama.
No, what program doesn't do that.
No, no, no, government doesn't do that, doesn't tell people what to do.
We're asking everybody to do their part.
Parents have to make some changes at home.
But we're not telling people what to do.
But parents have to make some changes, and businesses have to make some changes.
And we got to get good food to, but we're not telling anybody what to do.
Right.
Yeah, right.
Ken and Cleveland welcomes her to the EIB network high.
Um, Professor Limbaugh.
Sir.
Hey, um, two quick points.
I hope that gasoline prices go up to six dollars a gallon by November.
And I think that would put the nail in the coffin to prevent uh Obama from being elected.
Uh that possible.
It's possible.
I understand your thinking on this.
Okay, the second uh uh comment I have is on Obama wants Catholic churches and hospitals to provide counterceptives.
Where is the separation of church and state on this issue?
Well, that's the point.
To Obama, it doesn't exist.
That's what the whole point is.
Obama mandating that churches provide these things violates the First Amendment, the so-called separation of church and state, but it's religious freedom that we're talking about here.
That's the whole point.
That that's that's that's what the Sandra Fluck testimony was all about was to take the focus off of Obama violating the Constitution and shift it into a war on women by the Republicans by somehow denying women their birth control pills.
That's not at all what this was about.
The real congressional hearing was about Obama's the one that Fluck was not allowed to testify at because she's not an expert, was about Obama's violating the Constitution, mandating churches provide these things or insurance companies when they have a moral or conscientious objection.
Uh that's a great question, Kent, and I'm glad that you asked it again.
And by the way, five dollars a gallon might do the trick.
Just a quick reminder if you would like two if buy tea in your retail establishment, go to two if my tea.com.
Look for the large order inquiry form on the shop tab, the shop, S H O P tab of uh of our website.
Okay, folks, great to have been back with you today.
We have got much more scheduled for tomorrow.
Can't wait.
See you then.
