Welcome to today's edition of the Rush 247 podcast.
Sorry, folks, 28 pages just arriving here.
There we go.
Greetings, my friends, and welcome.
You are tuned to the most listened to radio talk show in America and the most talked about radio talk show in America.
And a radio program which presents the greatest opportunity for anybody who wants to get a message out.
And I am the host of this program, now acknowledged God's gift to women by the feminists themselves at their convention.
Rush Limbaugh, happy to be with you.
Telephone number.
Well, they said it yesterday.
We had the audio soundplace.
That was a godsend.
Therefore, I, El Rushbo, am God's gift to women.
You know, I uh have affectionately referred to the uh the uh the now gang as the Nags, the National Association of Gals for 15 years.
And the head uh head now gang babe was asked what she thinks about that yesterday on television.
Yeah.
After 15 years.
Outraged.
They are outraged.
And we're here.
And our telephone number if you want to be on the program 800 282-2882, and the email address L Rushball at EIBNet.com, a famous, well, famous to people in politics.
A famous liberal Democrat strategist is puzzled.
She doesn't know why women are voting for Santorum.
She doesn't know why women are voting for Republic.
She doesn't know why I'm still on the air.
And she was really flipped out when she learned that Santorum sent out an advertising flyer with a quote from me on women that helped.
She admits to being stupefied by all of this.
We had a lot to do here today, folks, as is always the case.
A thrill and a delight to um to be with you.
Apparently, nothing is sacred anymore.
There are news reports today, and I'm gonna write here in my formerly nicotine stained fingers, news reports today that an Indian tribe in Wyoming.
No, how can I be anti-war?
I even judge the Miss America pageant.
They even had Miss America that year on this program.
And meanwhile, the Obama campaign's running an attack ad against a woman who's not even in the race.
Who is a private citizen, Sarah Palin, and yet it's the Republicans who are accused of waging a war on women.
I was watching Hannity last night, and they're still trying to make that case.
That there's a terrible, terrible war on women.
Why doesn't what's happening to Sarah Palin outrage the Nags?
Why doesn't it bother them?
Well, we all we all know.
Meanwhile, the same Obama regime, which is running attack ads against Sarah Palin, a private citizen.
The same Obama regime is negotiating with the Taliban, promising to give them five of their top terrorists back.
The uh Taliban, by the way, who throw acid in the face of girls if they want to go to school.
This is the group that President Obama making deals with.
A Taliban, or as he says, the Taliban.
The same Taliban waging a real war on the women of Afghanistan each and every day and twice on Fridays.
Anyway, folks, this story that I said is nothing sacred anymore.
An Indian tribe in Wyoming has been given a permit to shoot bald eagles.
How does something like that happen?
How do you get a permit to shoot bald eagles?
I thought they were endangered or protected or something.
But this Indian tribe in Wyoming has been given permission.
Meanwhile, the Democrat Party, headquarters, Lake County, Florida, has been flying a version of the American flag where Obama's face is where the stars used to be.
There is an actual, they have taken an American flag, they've taken the stars out of it, and in the blue rectangle where the stars are, they have put a picture of President Obama.
There seems to be a war on the symbols of America.
And in the case of the Bald Eagles, it's a shooting war.
You can shoot bald eagles, and now Obama's face is on an American flag at Democrat Party headquarters in Lake County, Florida.
Now it should be noted, the Obama flag was being flown there for several months before anybody complained about it.
I mean, for crying out a lot, you would think that a Cuban flag or a picture of She Guevara would be enough for them.
But no, they had to go further.
They had to put Obama's picture on the on the American flag.
I remember I never complained about Obama's Christmas tree ornaments.
Never once did I complain about the Obama Christmas tree ornaments.
I mean, they had Obama's picture on a Christmas tree ornament.
This is the American flag.
It's a Fox news story.
All right, Republican primary.
Oh, by the way, we're going to be reviewing the polling data that we had from yesterday.
I'm going to keep pounding that.
I'm not going to let that go.
I'm not going to start the program with it today as I did yesterday.
But we will be reminding you of it because who is it?
Pew, the Pew Center for the People of Press is out with a poll today, which shows that Obama's approval number is at 50%.
Yesterday, the New York Times CBS or Monday had Obama at 41% all-time low in that poll.
So what's the difference?
Well, in the Pew poll, one of the things we found is that the sample consists of 51% Democrats.
That's how you do it.
51% Democrats in the Pew poll sample.
Now, I don't know what the party identification numbers are in the country anymore.
I know that conservatives are 40% self-proclaimed in a poll.
Liberals are 20%.
I don't know what the party, but I know that 51% of the country doesn't call itself Democrat, and that's nevertheless the number of Democrats or the percentage of them in the uh in the pew poll.
Meanwhile, meanwhile, Congressional Budget Office says that Obamacare is going to cost twice what he told us.
The magic number for Obamacare was a trillion dollars.
They had to keep that number under a trillion dollars in order to get it passed.
I'm not going to revisit why, and I'm not going to go back through all the details of the minutia and the arm twisting and the games they were playing to get Obamacare passed, because they eventually got it passed.
I mean, they tried toying around with the idea of deeming it to have been passed and not even voting on it, a number of things, but eventually it got passed.
One of the reasons they were able to get it passed was a price tag had to be under a trillion dollars.
It's a brand new entitlement.
We were already accumulating mountains of new debt thanks to Obama's stimulus.
And for some reason, the magic number was well, and the reason was the Iraq war cost about a trillion dollars.
So the selling point from the Democrats was it wasn't going to be any new money.
We're just going to get out of Iraq.
We're going to stop fighting Iraq war.
We're going to take that money and put it where it really matters.
Health care, affordable health care for all Americans.
And that's how they brought recalcitrant Democrats on board.
It is how they lied to the American people and said basically Obamacare is going to be a wash.
We're just going to cancel the Iraq war, which is costing about a trillion dollars, and replace it with Obamacare, which is 900 billion.
And at the time, for those of you who were here, we told you that was a bogus number, that it was no way it could come in at 900 billion dollars, and that the CBO could only score what Congress members gave them.
CBO cannot make assumptions.
Congressional Budget Office can only score the cost of legislation based on the input or the data that they are given from members of Congress.
Of course, it's garbage in, garbage out.
The data was flawed, and now the proof.
President Obama's health care law will cost 1.76 trillion dollars over a decade.
That's according to a new projection released by the Congressional Budget Office yesterday.
This is instead of the $940 billion forecast when it was signed into law.
Democrats employed a lot of accounting tricks when they were pushing through the national health care legislation.
Now, the most egregious of the tricks was to delay full implementation of the law until 2014 so it would appear cheaper under the CBO's standard 10-year budget window, and at least on paper, meet Obama's promise that the total cost would come in around $900 billion over 10 years.
Had to be under a trillion.
That was the magic number.
So, again, to explain the implementation trick, you know, 10-year legislative legislation.
The tax increases would happen immediately.
The moment the bill was signed, the tax increases would start.
Theoretically, revenue thus collected would pour into the Treasury.
The spending side of Obamacare, or the benefits side, which is laughable, but the spending side was delayed for four years.
2014.
There were two reasons for that.
One of the reasons was 2014, Obama's no longer accountable.
He's not running for election again in 2014.
He's either been defeated or he's been re-elected.
He's either in office in his second term or out of office when the real excrement hits the fan.
And 2014, if it isn't repealed, is when the real excrement is going to hit the fan.
And that was put off.
That was delayed for four years so that the excrement wouldn't hit the fan at the time of the vote or during Obama's reelection, and also to allow four years of tax collections to be measured against only six years of spending on the benefit side.
That is how they kept it under a trillion dollars.
That was the most and it's not even an accounting trick.
It was, I guess you could call it an accounting trick.
Basically, it was it was a game that was being played to allow the cost of Obamacare to come in at under a trillion dollars.
Because if at the same time the bill is signed into law and the tax collection starts, if the benefits or spending side started at the same time, we'd have 10 years of spending that we would have to measure, not six.
And thus that $940 billion would have been what we were told yesterday it's going to cost.
Well, all that's happened here, folks, is that the CBO has essentially said here's the cost of Obamacare if it all implements at the same time.
That is not technically what happened here.
What they have found is that the spending side is going to be far more costly than anybody ever knew, which wink wink it always is.
You can go back and look at any liberal social program you want.
You can look at the Great Society, the war on poverty, uh, AFTC, uh, food stamp, any program.
It always costs far more than what we're told when the legislation is signed.
It never costs less.
It never costs the same.
Major entitlement legislation like this.
So yesterday the CBO released new projections from 2013 extending through 2022.
And the results are as we critics expected.
The 10-year cost of Obamacare's core provisions to expand health insurance coverage is now ballooned from 940 to 1.76 trillion.
It's almost doubled.
And that's because we now have estimates for Obamacare's first nine years of full implementation.
The tax collections and the spending side were the benefits.
Rather than the mere six years of benefits when it was signed into law.
Only next year will we get a true 10-year cost estimate.
This is still not the full cost estimate.
This is nine years of spending implementation instead of six.
That's if the law isn't overturned by the Supreme Court or repealed by then.
Now, given that in 2022, the last year available, the gross cost of the coverage expansions are 265 billion dollars.
That's in 2022.
So we are likely looking at about two trillion dollars for Obamacare in its first 10 years, or more than double what Obama advertised.
And by the way, I'm going to be blunt.
What Obama advertised was a knowing falsehood.
What Obama and every proponent said about this was knowingly false.
They knew it was going to cost more than $940 billion.
They knew it because they had to delay the spending by four years to get it under a trillion dollars.
They knew.
Once again, the American people were a charitable misled about the true cost.
And you will then learn later on that you were misled about every aspect of this.
You will not be able to keep your doctor.
You will not be able to keep your plan.
Your plan isn't going to exist.
Your plan's going to go out of business because your employer is going to offload your benefit.
He's going to offload it to whoever can take it.
If Obama gets his way, there will not be alternative private sector health insurance businesses.
They'll be out of business.
The only place you'll be able to go is one of these state exchanges where you will be put into a giant pool with everybody else that essentially will be run from Washington.
That's what's ahead of us.
And with a $2 trillion cost instead of $940 billion, you can imagine what tax rates will do given the way Democrats operate.
This is the greatest single excuse to raise taxes they've had, and I don't know how long.
They are salivating over this.
This news is not unhappy.
It does not make them unhappy.
It might bother them from an election champ standpoint, but in the real world, they're ecstatic with this news.
This equals an automatic tax increase.
And they think you have no choice but then to agree with it.
I got to take a break here.
We'll do that.
We'll come back and continue right after this.
Yeah, I'm going to get to the Republican primaries in the elections last night.
We're going to get to it's a three-hour program.
I'll get to it.
Everything's playing out exactly as I as I thought it would.
Everything's playing out as I told you to relax, let it play out.
It's all playing out.
I'll explain in mere moments.
But want to stick with his health care because there are two elements here.
Back in March of 2010, right before the vote on Obamacare, we pointed out that the CBO report was a total fabrication.
This report that said the cost was $940 million.
In fact, the Congressional Budget Office itself said it was just an estimate since they had still not seen the bill.
You remember that?
They hadn't seen the bill they were scoring.
They were only given outline figures by the Democrats.
They it was a total.
Folks, it was a giant snow job on everybody.
But it was worse than that even.
We had Paul Ryan, Republican budget expert, member of the House, on the phone, and he pointed out how the Congressional Budget Office was double counting everywhere to try to get this phony $940 billion number.
I asked him if they were double counting Medicare, which rendered the $940 billion irrelevant.
And he said, correct, it's not.
They double count Class Act premiums, they're double counting Social Security taxes.
They double count a half a tra actually $522 billion in Medicare cuts to make this thing look as if it's adding up.
So basically what they did, this is not changed either.
They cut the Democrats, Obama.
They cut a half a trillion dollars out of Medicare.
That's supposed to go to Medicare, make it solvent, but they're using it instead as a piggy bank to pay for Obamacare.
So they're taking it from Medicare.
At the same time, they're claiming they're extending Medicare solvency.
So they're counting these cuts twice, when in fact they're using the money to create a new entitlement.
That was Paul Ryan on this program March 18th.
It's a giant scam, folks.
Welcome back, Rushlin bought talent on loan from God.
You know that I have the utmost respect for all of you, your intelligence, your ability to follow this, your memories, and so forth.
I still, I don't want to create a bunch of minutiae here with a bunch of acronyms, CBO, congressional budget off.
The bottom line to all of this, the real point when you synthesize it down, is that the Democrats from Obama on down lied everywhere about health care.
They lied about the cost.
They lied about how cheap premiums are going to be.
They lied about how the tax increases would be minimal to fund this.
They cut $500 billion out of Medicare and then counted that again when they put it back into the health care bill to show that Medicare would not be cut.
It was it was it was outrageous what happened here.
Delaying the spending side of the entitlement for four years while collecting taxes immediately.
And what's happened now is that the CBO has more data to factor, and they have done they've discovered that with nine years of full implementation, the cost is not 940 billion, but instead it is 1.76 trillion.
It's almost twice.
And by the time we're able to factor a full ten years in, the cost will be double.
And we don't have the money.
We do not have the money.
We don't have the money for anything that we are spending.
We just don't have it.
It all gets added to the national debt, and it all gets added to the income tax rate that your kids and grandkids are going to pay years from now.
Your children and grandchildren's lifetime tax payments have been spent at current tax rates.
Your kids, this is statistical now.
I mean, we're some people are going to earn a lot more than others, but in a statistical average, your kids, your grandkids' total lifetime tax payments have already been spent.
What do you think their rate is going to be to accommodate the spending above and beyond what's taken place with that revenue?
Now, Daniel Foster, National Review Online, had a great point about all this.
So the question's never been whether Obamacare will fail by failing to make it cheaper, health care cheaper, or by incurring massive per-person costs for its coverage.
Rather, the question's been whether it'll fail quickly and spectacularly enough that the political will throughout this country is to repeal it.
And that was another reason for delaying the six years of benefits.
Because it's really a misconception to call it benefits.
Think of it as delaying the implementation of government being involved in health care.
That doesn't start till 2014, although they're creeping in.
They've had to give waivers, over a thousand waivers to companies who would otherwise be out of business today, and that wouldn't look good for Obama's re-election, those waivers are going to end.
So what foster's talking about here is if the impact of This, and it's going to be bad.
If the impact of this is felt quickly, then the political will among the people to get rid of it will be very high.
If it's a slow, gradual implementation, such as you put a frog in a in a pot of water, room temperature water, put it on a stove, and then turn on the heat.
The frog has no clue it's dead.
It has no clue it's boiling to death for many, many minutes.
Same thing here.
You bump the flog of the frog into a pot of boiling water and the thing will jump right out of there.
Same with us.
If this pot of water that is the health care is boiling when it gets implemented, we're not going to put up with it.
That's that's one of the key elements.
And there are, to my mind, enough things happening that will make that possible.
We already have, in terms of polling data on this issue, well over 50% of the American people want this health care repeal just in general principles.
You wait until this thing starts being implemented to see what happens.
Did anybody notice yesterday, for example, the Department of Health and Human Services rule that was finalized?
A new Department of Health and Human Services rule finalized establishes state health care exchanges under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and an abortion premium mandate.
The Hill.com breaks it down to comply with the accounting requirement.
Health care plans will collect a one dollar abortion surcharge from each premium payer.
The enrollee will make two payments, one dollar per month for abortion and another payment for the rest of the services covered in this mandate.
As described in the rule, the surcharge can only be disclosed to the enrollee at the time of enrollment.
Furthermore, insurance plans may only advertise the total cost of premiums without disclosing that enrollees will be charged a dollar per month fee to pay directly to subsidize abortions.
This was made active yesterday.
Okay.
Maybe the day before.
I was out Monday, so the days are running together here.
But Kathleen Sibelius and the Department of Health and Human Services implemented a rule that establishes state health care exchanges, mandate, and abortion premium collection of a dollar a month from everybody.
Now, how many of you thought during all this that the Democrats and Obama promised that something like this wouldn't happen?
Remember old Bart Stupak?
Good old Bart, Democrat from Wisconsin, pro-life Democrat, made a big big scene out of holding out.
He was one of the last votes, and he was following his conscience.
And he was he was not going to vote for this unless he was assured that not a federal penny would be used in any way to pay for abortion.
And they said, okay, well, you want it, you got it.
And whether he believed them or not, he had to cover.
They gave him cover, he signed for the signed the bill, and where is he today?
They lied to him.
He either knew they were lying or he got snookered, but it was implemented yesterday.
So two things with the health care bill.
Mandatory abortion premium collections from everybody in the health care system.
And we've now learned that the cost of Obamacare is going to be more than double.
And that's where we are on that.
John Pedoritz writing at Commentary Magazine.
Obama's poll troubles suggest that his 2012 strategy is backfiring.
Fallout from two major polls yesterday, Washington Post ABC, New York Times CBS finding measurable and significant drops in support for Obama nationwide during the past month has instantly changed the national Conversation.
Obama is in trouble.
There is no pretending that he isn't.
One poll might have been viewed as an outlier, but two polls taken around the same time with the same sample.
Same sample size of American adults can't be dismissed as statistical noise.
And what Pedoritz goes on to say here is that what the president's trying to do is impossible.
He's trying to run as an outside Washington candidate.
He writes, Obama has decided to go to the American people with this story to tell.
I can't work with these lunatics in Congress.
Every time he does that, during and after the debt ceiling debacle in particular, he and his supporters are surprised to find that the public assigns him a considerable portion of the blame for the inability to strike deals and move forward.
It's just like we learned yesterday from a book written by an accredited liberal.
Obama orders these dollars spent on green energy.
His aides come back and report there aren't any really new jobs.
And Obama's, how can this be?
We're investing in infrastructure.
Now Obama's one of how look at I'm out there telling everybody I can't work with these lunatics in Congress.
Baehner's a nut.
They're all nuts.
What do you mean they're they think I'm part of the problem?
You're president, Mr. Clinton, or Mr. Mr. Mr. Obama, and you are the definition of Washington.
Now the president knows the public loathes Washington, and so he's decided, Obama has, he's going to run against Washington.
That's usually a Republican strategy.
And a good reason for it.
Republican politicians generally hue to the belief the federal government's too big and too intrusive needs to be checked.
Obama has presided over the most rapid growth in the size and power of the federal government since the second world war.
He has empowered Washington, everybody knows it.
For him to turn around and try to tell the electorate, I hate this town like you do, so re-elect me because I share your values is simply not credible.
And that's what he's trying to do.
Present himself as an outsider in the town filled with lunatics.
He's the chief lunatic.
He is the reason for most of the problems this country has encountered the last three years.
Not George W. Bush, not any predecessor.
Barack Obama has a record.
He's trying to run from that record and pretend that he hasn't been president for three years.
If you listen to his campaign, you'll you'll note that.
Well, this guy sounds like he hasn't even been in town for three years.
That's the strategy here that Pedoritz is discussing.
Points out won't work.
Let's take a brief time out.
We'll come back and continue before you know it.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back, Rush Limboy.
Having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have.
The White House is so shaken by yesterday's polls that they are now using them to beg for more money.
We have people that are on their fundraising mailing lists as uh as spies.
And they are begging for more money off of those poll results yesterday.
They were shocked, shaken to the core by the results in both the ABC and uh Washington Post, New York Times CBS polls.
When Obama took office, government was 21% of gross domestic product, meaning the entire economic output, government took up 21% of it.
In three years, Obama has increased that to 23%.
That is massive given the numbers, the overall size that we're talking about, and he's on track to go even higher.
That is the fastest increase in government spending as a percentage of overall economic output since World War II.
And he did it, and he continues to do it, and it doesn't factor.
It does not factor the latest news on all of this new health care cost that we learned.
It's going to be twice what we were told.
So what right now, government takes up 21% 23% of GDP, 21% when he took office.
It's projected to go to 25%.
A full one quarter of the U.S. economy.
in other words, what Obama's done since he took office is transfer four percent of the American economy to government, where nothing is produced, where no wealth is created, only thing that happens is wealth is destroyed.
And that is precisely what is happening.
When you hear me say that there are two million fewer jobs in the universe of jobs since Obama was inaugurated, this is why.
He simply usurped, just taken transferred four percent of the private sector economy, moved it to government.
Well, two percent not projected to go to four percent.
Okay, audio sound bites.
Karen Finney is the Democrat strategist.
She was on MSNBC last night.
They were in total shock.
Total shock.
Santorum won last night.
Santorum?
Conservative women?
How can this happen?
Karen Finney, big time Democrat strategist, said it hurt her that women voted for Santorum.
Well, this woman vote really hurts me, I gotta say.
It's a little painful because I'm wondering if those women really heard the full message that, yes, there's the economy, but if you've got to worry about your basic health care, how are you then gonna be able to do what you need to do in terms of having a job, paying your rent, taking care of your kids?
In other words, she can't believe that the women voting in Republican primaries are concerned about the economy first.
Exit poll data, 75% of the people vote, including women.
What's the number one issue about the economy?
She is ticked off.
They're not selling this war on women business.
She actually thinks women are going to be concerned about being denied abortion or birth control pills.
She thinks that's what Santorum's about.
They think that they have succeeded in convincing the American people that Republicans equal no abortion and no birth control pills.
And they can't believe it.
When you women aren't falling for what they're trying to tell you is happening, you are stuck in the economy, and so you're stupid.
Oh, yeah, it's okay to be concerned about the economy.
Well, what about your health?
What good is the economy if you don't have any health and the Republicans want to destroy your health?
Aren't you listening to us?
That's why she's upset.
So the question was asked of her.
Santorum did particularly well in Alabama among working women.
Kim, can you believe this?
And even after sending out a mailer with a quote from Rush Limbaugh, Santorum, well, can you believe it, Karen?
You were in a can you explain this to me?
How does it happen that women vote for Santorum even after he sends out a flyer with Limbaugh's quote on it?
You know, I'm stunned.
Uh the only explanation that I can come up with is, and I think this would be a question I'd want to go back and ask these women.
For these women, did race, or or in other words, conservative values, that's the code, right?
Trump gender.
You know, it's still a very conservative state.
The racial issues are alive and well in Alabama and Mississippi.
Remember those polls that we saw where large percentages don't believe in interracial marriage and think the president is a Muslim.
So clearly, there is some some sort of racial stuff in there.
And I wonder if that ultimately for white working women trumped their own gender.
All right, so you white working women who the Obama campaigns abandon you anyway.
Well, specifically your husband's soon to be you.
Karen Finney, spokesman.
Don't you Republican women understand what's going on here?
Don't you understand?
The code word was conservative values, and it means waste.
Don't you understand?
So you Republican women are being fooled.
You're so silly.
You're so stupid you don't understand the Republican war on women out to deny you birth control pills, and now you don't understand that you're actually voting for a bunch of racist pigs.
Democrats are beside themselves.
Same network, MSNBC.
A question to Richard Wolfe, reporter.
Do you think Santorum really signed off on that after all Limbaugh's been through and been in the news?
You think Santorum really put that quote from Limbaugh on his flyer knowingly?
Rush Limbaugh still has an audience, even though we all think that he should be Losing it.
If you are a Christian conservative who is also a woman, and maybe you don't actually care for the other side of the Rush Limbaugh debate, and Rick Santorum is your family values guy.
Rush Limbaugh still has an audience, even though we all think he should be losing it.
And you stupid white Republican conservative women, you don't care.
You'll vote for racists every time.
That's what the media has decided they have learned about you.
And I've got an audience that the media has probably just doubled.
While they sit out there telling themselves that I should be losing audience.
and Gotta take a break here at the top of the hour.
We'll play the sun bites again.
