I am Rush Limbaugh, meeting and surpassing all audience expectations every day.
It's great to have you here.
Our telephone number, 800 282-2882, and the email address El Rushbo at EIBNet.com.
Talking about managing crises and dealing with them rather than exploit them.
You just look at how much destruction this regime has done in just a little more than 18 months, and their people are unhappy, which is natural because they're constantly enraged and angry.
18 months.
There has been more destruction of the country in 18 months.
I mean, just taking us back to where we were.
You know, the uh Obama and his boys say that uh nobody wanted to turn back.
I don't want to turn yes, we do.
We would love to go back to just 18 months ago.
And stop and think of that.
Just returning us to where we were in 2008, would today represent one of the most startling reductions in federal power ever known in our entire history.
And even at that, it wouldn't be nearly enough.
But that's how much we've lost.
That's how much of the private sector has been usurped in 18 months.
If we could just roll the clock back to 2008.
Simply return to where we were at what represent the greatest reduction of state power in our history.
It's sadly an illustration of what we uh what we face.
From a very, very, very unhappy associated press here.
President Obama wants solid support among Hispanics, showing a few cracks, a troubling sign for Democrats, desperate to get this critically important constituency excited about helping the party hold on to Congress this fall.
Hispanics still overwhelmingly favor the Democrat Party.
Majority still think Obama's doing a good job, according to an AP poll.
But the survey sponsored by the Nielsen Company and Stanford University shows that Obama gets only lukewarm ratings on issues important to Hispanics.
His support among independence is dwindling down to 27%.
And as the AP here points out, for a group that supported Obama so heavily in 2008 and in his first year in Orifus, only 43% surveyed said Obama's adequately addressing their needs.
This is the problem you get into when you do group politics.
Every group's going to demand you do specific things for them.
And if you don't, then they're going to be mad at you.
But of course, this story also presupposes something, and that is that Hispanics naturally are going to be as supportive a voting block as, say, African Americans are for the Democrats, and it simply never has been true.
And it isn't true now.
But they're still excited over there at the AP.
57% of Hispanics approve of the president's overall job performance compared with 44% among the general population in the latest AP national polo.
You thought the housing crisis was over?
Not quite.
Despite four years of falling prices and recent signs, they were finally bottoming out homes are expected to lose still more value in many metro areas over the next year.
Parts of the country already pummeled, like Bos Vegas, uh Phoenix, Miami, will be hit hardest, but even some places that have rebounded, including New York, Los Angeles, and Washington will suffer.
Do you know what a three wealthiest counties in America now are outside Washington, DC in Maryland and Virginia?
Three wealthiest counties in America.
Yep, and that's new.
And that's new.
The wealthiest, well, that's counties.
Palm Beach is a zip code.
The wealthiest zip code, I think still is Jupiter Island up north, but I'm talking about counties.
The wealthiest three counties are outside Washington, D.C. now.
And I was just talking in the last hour about have you noticed there Are some people not doing badly?
There's some people prospering.
There's some do you know who they are?
Do you know what their source of revenue is?
It's the government.
They're the ruling class.
The average home price, Standard and Poor's Case Schiller index, 20 big U.S. cities is forecast to drop nearly two percent this year from a year earlier.
So the housing bubble continues to bubble downward.
This is this is where we are.
And there's no recovery, and there's no sign of one.
And there's not really any program in place to alleviate this problem.
Because the government can't do it.
In Miami, I mentioned this last hour, nearly 25% of mortgage borrowers have missed at least three months of mortgage payments or are already in foreclosure.
According to Moody's, that's the highest level in the country in four other Florida.
But LeBron James will help down there.
In four other Florida cities, Fort Lauderdale, Cape Coral, West Palm Beach, and Naples, the proportion exceeds 15%.
Same is true for Las Vegas.
And Obama says we've turned a corner.
We're back from the brink.
Well, he's back from the brink, but he still can't get us over the hump.
Because he doesn't want to get us over the hump.
Daniel Ellsberg on Larry King Alive last night.
Larry King, um, how do you uh how do you respond to White House assertion?
That just leak on that wiki website, puts our forces in danger.
I think it takes a lot of I don't know what to say, Hutzpa frontery for people who made the reckless, foolish, and I would say irresponsible decisions to escalate a war that I'm sure they know internally is as hopeless as these new revelations reveal it to be.
I'd say that was exactly the same as the boss I served in 1965, Lyndon Johnson.
He didn't want General Johnson of the Chief of Staff of the Army and others to resign if he didn't give them enough of what they were asking for.
I think President Obama has made the same terrible error.
Oh no, Obama's made the same terrible error as LD LBJ and Larry King says, Daniel, do you understand why Mr. Gibbs representing the president?
You understand why he's so upset.
I didn't think Gibbs was upset, did you?
Gibbs is not upset.
The White House is not upset about this.
Anyway, here's Ellsberg's answer.
Well, he's very upset in part because he's working for a president who has indicted more people now for leaks than all previous presidents put together.
This is an administration that's more concerned about preventing transparency, I would say, than its predecessors, which I'm very sorry to hear as somebody who voted for Obama and expect to vote for him again, despite all this.
So uh a a a socialist, a neo whatever, uh by uh Daniel Ellsberg.
Can see the Obama double sanded on a leaks, but he's gonna vote for him again anyway.
He's worse than any president we've ever had on leaks and transparency, but he's gonna vote for him again anyway.
Well, I only play the Ellsberg cuts because Obama is one of Ellsberg's admirers.
Obama loved Ellsburg, but he was leaking the Pentagon papers.
He's holding holding truth to power.
And back to the phones we go to uh Plusotum, Illinois.
This is Tim.
Nice to have you on the program, sir.
Hello.
Hello, nice to talk to you, right?
You bet.
Hey, uh, I I just got back from Afghanistan here a few months ago.
And uh Welcome home, sir.
Well, thank you very much.
You bet.
Uh I actually got two comments if I've got time.
But uh the first one is uh I might have to disagree with you a little bit and uh go along with uh Obama to pull us out of Afghanistan, because the way it is, they won't let us fight.
You get your hands tied so tight that you can't do anything.
Uh you disagreeing with me on what did I say?
We should stay no matter what.
No.
Uh the point I was making was the rules of engagement while I was there were were tight, so tight in some areas that uh in town you couldn't even point a weapon, you had to point a laser And uh wave them off.
And, you know, if you have a uh V bid or something drive up on you, by the time you get your weapon, you you're already done.
Uh so either let us fight or pull us out.
Well, uh that's my fear is that that we're gonna pull out and that these leaks are oriented toward pulling us out under the idea that we can't win, which is silly.
We are the United States of America.
I look at I know what you're saying.
Why tie our hands behind our backs?
We know political correctness is taking over the rules of engagement.
There's no question about it.
Yes, they uh look at the you look at the projection of power we are capable of.
It was true in Iraq, it's true here.
People, average ordinary Americans, what the hell are we doing?
Pussyfooting around here.
Look at the power we're able to project.
Why are we handcuffing our people?
And I know some people say, look, if you're gonna do it this way, don't even do it.
Just get out of there.
It's senseless.
But then pulling out of there, you admit defeat.
And this is something that frightens me too, because we've now with these wiki leaks and the way we're fighting the war, wow how are we ever going to get allies?
Tim, you tell me, how are we ever going to get allies to join us if we're going to sell out, we're not going to fight things to win, if we're going to allow leaks to occur, which basically compromised everybody helping us.
How the hell are we going to have people join us?
Well, I don't think we can because we actually support a lot of our allies that are there.
Yeah, exactly.
And you have a president who has openly said about Afghanistan he's not comfortable with the concept of victory.
And yet you have Democrats that's in Afghanistan's a war.
That's where we need to be the whole time we were in Iraq.
Iraq was an elective war.
Bush went in there for whatever reason.
We need to go to a Afghanistan.
Now we need we're in Afghanistan and we're ho humming around.
And we've let a magazine get rid of the commanding officer in the crystal, and now a bunch of wafy little wimps who run a wiki website might be able to get us out of the country all together.
And if we get out of there uh with circumstances as they are, the left and the rest of the world is proudly going to announce that we're losing and that we are getting out of there having been defeated.
Which is what they want.
John and Jacksonville, glad you called, sir, you're next and welcome.
Rush, it's a truly an honor to speak with you.
Thank you very much, sir.
Appreciate that.
Why would why the hate in America?
Um I think it has to do with the removal of the Pledge of Allegiance and a shift from patriotism to uh hyphenated America, and then a lack of decent education on the foundation and the origins of the Constitution, and a false belief that uh higher education, the higher the education, the smarter they are.
And uh I believe in Ivy League education is not a valid substitute for common sense.
Well, uh, all that is all that's true.
Um the the reason the left hates America, we as I say we can spend here all day talking about it, and the reasons don't really matter.
Uh except if you want to prevent it from happening again, and we can all come up with reasons why.
Uh my my point was if we can get rid of this hate, that we would solve the vast majority of the problems that we have because all the problems that we have with the left is uh are rooted in their hate, hatred for and of this country in various ways.
I think if you want to start talking about reasons, which is not what I was looking for here, but if you want to start talking about reasons, you guys constitution, a declaration of independence.
Oh, these people don't like God.
They don't like the fact this is a nation blessed by God, founded uh with uh with the uh recognition that we're all better created, that's God that doesn't fly uh with uh with these people.
But the fact is they do.
Nobody's arguing with me about the fact they hate the country.
That's what I find interesting.
Not one person's called us, oh, we don't hate America.
Not one leftist, or none of you have called Russia a little wrong.
They they love the country.
No, they don't.
They don't.
That's one of the fundamental problems that we got.
Jacksonville, John, welcome.
I'm sorry, where are we going next?
Uh Jacksonville again, this is Sam.
Welcome to the program, sir.
Great to have you here.
Rush, it is a pleasure to talk to you.
Thank you, sir.
You know, the only difference between the arrogance of Charlie Wrangle and the arrogance of Barack Obama is that Barack Obama is a little more charismatic with his arrogance.
It appeals a little more to the women on the view.
Whereas Bar uh where Charlie Wrangle's arrogance just hit you right over the head with a two by four.
But make no mistake, both of these guys are as arrogant as can be.
Well, by arrogant, you also mean entitled.
Yeah.
They feel entitled to it.
All of that.
Well, um, there's I think the uh probably R2P is in a pot.
As far as Wrangle is concerned, the word is he's now negotiating with the ethics committee to get out of any trial taking place.
And if if he does this, the wags in the know are saying, well, he's gonna have to have to admit that there's some wrongdoing here to get out of this, and this is something he's strenuously avoided wanting to do, but I doubt that he wants to go through a trial either.
Uh I'm frankly amazed it's gotten this far.
And the only reason it has is because the amount, the sheer number of transgressions, the sheer number of ethics violations became such that not even the Democrats in Pelosi could sweep this under the rug.
And they had to do something about it.
Normally, I mean they they circle the wagons and they cover for uh for all of these people, but this got so big that they just couldn't.
Audio sound by time, dingy Harry, Saturday in Las Vegas.
This is at the Nut Roots Convention, a portion of his remarks.
We need to bring people out of the shadows, we need to have them get right with the law, stay out of trouble, learn English, pay taxes, and then they don't even go to the front of the line, they go to the back line.
But remember, well more than half of these people who are undocumented have American children.
So we can't do what Rush Limbaugh wants.
There's not a way we can fiscally or physically ship eleven million people back.
So we have to do this.
And this is not amnesty, it's fairness.
So once again, my name invoked at a nutroots convention by Dingy Harry.
We we can't do what Rush Limbaugh wants.
I don't think he has the slightest idea what I want.
When it comes, and of course, it doesn't matter.
The the facts of this does not matter.
Have I snurdly helped me out here?
Have I ever demanded the deportation of eleven million?
I have said they'll deport themselves.
Arizona's an example.
Come up with the law and they'll enforce the law, they'll deport themselves.
Uh he is talking.
What is it?
We we have to have them get right with the law.
No, we don't.
We're gonna give them amnesty.
We have them stay out of trouble.
You don't care if they stay out of trouble.
You don't even care if they vote 15 times.
You have to have them learn English.
You don't care about them learning English, Harry Reed.
That's a big laugh.
When's the last time you heard any liberal Democrat demand that anybody learn to speak English?
It's the people who say they ought to speak English and the left attacks.
Ah, easy for you to say you already speak English.
And then they don't even go to the front of the line, they go to the back of the line.
They're not going there's not going to be a line.
Now remember, well, more than half of these people are undocumented.
And they have American children, so we can't do what Rush Limbaugh wants.
There's not a way what Rush Limbaugh wants.
At the Nut Roots Convention.
Here's Dingy Harry, by the way, at the same nut roots convention on Saturday in Las Vegas, a quick bite, eight seconds long.
I wish we had a public option.
Well, we're gonna have a public option.
It's just a question of when.
Uh geometrically multiplied out there over the fact that they haven't got a uh a single payer health care plan.
But they're gonna have it.
If nothing changes, we're already uh on the road.
You've you we've had the stories here of all the small insurance companies going out of business, of all the businesses gonna slough off their coverage to the government because they can't afford it, they can't afford to follow the rules, they don't even know what the new federal rules are.
I mean, Obamacare is a pathway to public option.
That's its whole reason for Being.
These people at their convention just a little impatient.
They don't realize how much success their people are actually having.
Brief time out here at the bottom of the hour, back with much more right after this.
Don't go away.
This morning on MSNBC The Morning Joe Show, the uh the uh guest was the Pazar.
Kenneth Feinberg, who's also in charge of disbursing uh the 20 billion dollars of uh shakedown money that the regime got from uh from BP.
Mike Barnacle said to um Senator Feinberg, what happens if if BP files for bankruptcy?
I mean, they're selling off assets of the company now.
What happens to the claimants in a Gulf if BP files for bankruptcy?
Heaven forbid that would be a national tragedy.
BP has already said that if the 20 billion dollars is not enough money to pay all the claims, it will continue to honor its financial obligations.
If BP ever went into bankruptcy, I've failed, everybody's failed.
They're a major employer in the Gulf.
These people that have been victimized by this spill, Michael, need to be paid.
Oh my heart bleeds.
Let's break out the stratavarius violins.
Oh, Feinberg will fail.
He's parceling out these payments in six-month chunks.
If nobody can find any oil in the Gulf, why did anybody pay anybody?
They can't find any oil.
I L. Rushbo said it was all going to be eaten up by the sea by the Gulf of Mexico.
They can't find any oil.
They're opening up previously shut down fishing areas.
So why do you have to pay anybody anything?
If there's no oil, where is all this damage?
It doesn't exist.
In the meantime, Mr. Feinberg, your administration is doing its best to destroy all employment in the Gulf in the oil business.
Where's the oil?
There is no oil.
Why are we shutting down drilling?
Why do you want a moratorium on it?
There's there's no oil.
They can't find it.
The reason they can't find it, even the scientists, you know, Mother Nature's doing her job.
This is not the heavy sludge stuff they use make asphalt from.
This is light crude.
I mean, for the longest time they haven't been able to find all this oil.
The real danger, the real threat from this has been that oil which does come ashore.
This is why it was so important what Bobby Gindle was trying to do, build these sand berms to keep it from getting to the real shore.
Because once it gets ashore, gets into the water table underneath the uh uh uh soil and gets into that, then it's that's a genuine cleanup nightmare.
But out in the Gulf it'll take care of itself.
It's not that much.
It really isn't that much.
Fill up the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium.
It's a dome.
Fill it up with water.
Keep saying this over and over again.
The amount of oil is equal to a 24-ounce can of beer.
It's microscopic.
Have you ever wondered why oil prices haven't gone up?
People were expecting, you know, a lot of people, Ted Baxter, a lot of people believe that there's some wizard behind a curtain that arbitrarily decides to raise gasoline prices whenever he wants to.
This would have been a perfect time, would it not?
I mean, pictures on TV of all that oil leaking into the Gulf, all that crude.
We're losing it, we're losing it.
Everybody thinks we've got a finite supply of oil anyway.
Oh my god, oh my god, we're gonna run out of oil even sooner, but the price is gonna go up.
Oh my god, oh my god, what's giving the gasoline?
Oh my god, the price of oil didn't go up.
Did you ever stop to ask yourself why?
Do you ever ask yourself why price of gasoline didn't skyrocket?
It's because the amount of oil leaked had an infinitesimal effect on supply.
It's not that much.
There is no crisis.
There is no disaster.
They can't find the oil.
And you know, Mr. Feinberg, Obama will be ecstatic if BP goes into bankruptcy.
Or better yet, if Obama could seize the assets under receivership.
Listen to play this, play this sound by again.
That would be a national tragedy.
BP has already said that they will pay off.
Oh, they I wouldn't Listen to this.
It's all about this guy.
Heaven forbid that would be a national tragedy.
BP has already said that if the 20 billion dollars is not enough money to pay all the claims.
It will continue to honor its financial obligations.
If BP ever went into bankruptcy, I've failed, everybody's failed.
They're a major employer in the Gulf.
These people that have been victimized by this spill, Michael, need to be paid.
Right.
So what do we take from this?
We need to keep BP in business, not for any reason other than the claimants need to be paid.
And after the claimants have paid, then screw them.
Then we'll put them out of business.
Then they go bankrupt all they want, but not until I get my money on that 20 bill, and I can pay everybody off.
I don't want to be a failure.
It'd be a national tragedy.
So BP exists for one reason now.
And that's to make sure the trial lawyers get their take of whatever they can screw out of the company from what has been shaken down out of BP by Obama.
Mr. Feinberg, here you are, you're in charge of this $20 billion.
Do you ever stop to how much is $20 billion?
You talk about BP giving away $20 billion here, $20 billion.
No, it's nothing.
It's a lot of money.
Imagine if you had to come up with it.
These people, this whole notion, everybody else's money is mine, and I'm going to make them do with their money what I think they should do.
So, Folks, there's no crisis that's metastasized here.
You imagine the grief I'm gonna get the rest of this week for saying this.
They can't find the oil.
I mean, why are we gonna pay $20 billion out?
They're opening fisheries already.
There is no disaster.
Well, there's not.
It's been capped.
Wells been capped.
There's no oil leaking anymore.
Oh, guess they found another leak down the road.
And they found another little leak down there.
It's not related to this.
They just found another leak out there.
They could probably find leaks every day if they wanted to.
Remember the AP story?
40,000 wells have been shut down.
What if they start leaking?
Oh no, we're gonna die, we're gonna die.
Remember that story.
So another crisis, quasi crisis.
All to be exploited.
Here's an oil platform hit by a tugboat is now spewing oil and natural gas near a Louisiana marsh area, officials said.
The oil and gas shooting up 20 feet in the air.
Crews don't expect to be able to cap the well before 6 o'clock tonight, according to a Coast Guard Rear Admiral.
Dean Bonano, Jefferson Parish emergency management director, said we can't catch a break.
Some uh some 6,000 feet of boom were placed around the site.
Thad Allen told reporters the tugboat was pushing a barge when the collision happened.
There are plenty of boom down there now to corral this current leak.
And they're gonna have this one fixed by six o'clock.
But how much is this poor barge company gonna have to cough up to pay claims?
Uh anyway, folks.
You would expect the Obama regime to do the exact opposite of something the Reagan administration would do.
So this analysis from the Heritage Foundation is going to reinforce that.
There is a treaty.
Treaty with Russia being considered by the Senate.
It's called the new START Treaty.
It's all about our missile defenses and the number of missiles that Russia has in their arsenal aimed at us, and not just us, but all of our allies as well.
Now, 1987.
Reagan took a Russian phrase and translated it to English, telling the Russians you're going to trust but verify their actions on reducing missiles.
And that's when uh Gorbachev, the dictator, and others knew that Reagan meant business.
Trust but verify.
Well, now with Obama wanting to sign a new disarmament treaty, the Senate held hearings last week.
The common uh commander of the U.S. Strategic Command was before the Senate committee answering questions, one of them from Senator McCain.
When McCain Asked the commander, what happens if we find the Russians cheating on the agreement?
He answered that it would have little effect on the agreement.
And McCain actually said, Well, then why have the agreement?
This is one of those page three stories that the Heritage Foundation has been warning us about, and they're getting the word out to their members and to as many people on Capitol Hill as possible.
This even came up when Obama was asked about this.
Well, what happens if they cheat?
Well, it won't even really matter because, you know, we still have enough firepower left.
So the Russians cheat on the New Deal.
It won't really matter.
That's the regime's take.

Behind the golden EIB microphone to Las Vegas.
James, great to have you on the program, sir.
Hello.
Well, first I wanted to say that I'm truly honored to be speaking with you on the first time caller.
Thank you, sir, very much.
And uh, looking at the news reports around here as of late and polls and stuff, and it looks like uh Dirty Harry is getting a little closer to passing Sharon Engle in the race out here.
And of course, I don't know if she has what size level work she has, but uh no, Harry Reed's got at least nine mil in the bank and keep he keeps on throwing out attack ads.
She's uh she's doing okay money wise.
She's she's raised a decent amount of money.
Why why do you think she's in trouble?
Well, I mean, all the polls I've been seeing lately, it just it doesn't seem like she's doing that great in the polls, and as soon as she got ele uh won the election, uh Harry Reed started in with the attack ads, and it's just a there's something the reason I took your call is because there's something interesting going on with this.
Sharon Angle has talked a couple of times about privatizing Social Security and getting rid of the Department of Education.
Now, these are two things that are fundamentally important to the Tea Party people.
Uh, they they are not just fundamental, they're elementary.
Reforming so we got it, we got how many years have we been told we got an entitlement problem?
We're reaching the point where we're not going to be able to pay these anymore.
It's getting out of hand.
We've been told this for how many years.
There's an effort underway to fix this.
Privatization of Social Security.
Now that term is not liked.
It is felt by many Republicans that uh that Bush blew whatever effort he was making every chance to reform Social Security with the word privatization.
Particularly when there is a down stock market, which there isn't right now, but when there's a down stock market, it's easy for the issue to be demagogued.
Now there are many Republicans who are expressing a little angst with Sharon Angle for daring to bring up the ref the privatization of Social Security.
Now, this to me is a is an interesting point.
We all admit that we are at a crossroads in this country.
We are now faced with the largest expansion of government, the greatest loss of freedom in 18 months that we have had, and you add that loss to what we've lost cumulatively in years prior.
We've never had an administration this destructive.
We have never had a president and a regime whose objective was to preside Over America's decline.
As such, we have never had such a great opportunity to contrast what conservatism really is compared to all this.
So here comes Sharon Angle and she talks about privatizing Social Security.
Meaning we got to reform this.
We've got to let people control their own retirements.
Dingy Harry is exploiting the hell out of this in campaign ads.
The same way the Democrats demagogued it with George W. Bush.
And he decided to spend a lot of his political capital on it, and he caved on it after a while.
And there are many Republicans, not conservatives, many Republicans going, oh no, oh no, this is why we don't like the Tea Party people, they just don't understand.
When in fact they do.
As we used to say on the football practice field, this is nutcracking time.
We're not we're not playing games anymore.
These are real problems.
And if the objective here is to get elected, well, that's one thing.
If the objective here is to ideally and truly face problems honestly, straightforward and head on, then that's another.
These last 18 months, we could paraphrase Churchill on this.
Never have so few done so much harm to so many in such a short period of time.
And there are a lot of people that are simply not willing to tolerate it anymore.
So get rid of the Department of Education or privatize or reform Social Security.
This is what's said to be Sharon Angle's problem.
And the ruling class Republicans are saying, see, this is why we can't go with the Tea Party because they really don't know how to do things.
They're really not seasoned veterans in politics.
This is going to kill the Republican Party, they're saying.
Oh no, we can't have Sharon Angel saying stuff like this.
You can't have Sharon Engels and we've got to reform Social Security.
I would simply ask the question, at what point are we going to get serious about facing these problems, being honest and identifying them, so that when we are elected we have a mandate to fix them?
This is a um it's a major problem.
And it's gonna be you're you're you're going to see that the Republicans who are not really crazy about the Tea Party in the first place are going to use this as an excuse to drift away.
Because they don't want to face this tough question because to them, Social Security is the third rail.
They think they've lost on it every time it's been brought up.
We'll have to discuss this in greater detail tomorrow because I'm out of time right now.
I think Sharon Angle is walking the walk, and I think she's talking the talk.
And I think if we cannot win in Nevada with one of the most disgraced liberal Democrats in the history of the nation, one of the architects of this nation's demise.
