America's Mayor Live (579): Deadly Los Angeles Wildfires Continue to Rage Out of Control

Good evening.
This is Rudy Giuliani, and this is America's Mayor Live.
And we're live from a Virginia safe house because we're in the vicinity of the District of Columbia.
And who knows what could happen because it's still being run by crooked, scummy Democrats, and anything could happen.
Tomorrow I have to be in front of the meanest judge.
In the District of Columbia who put J6 people in jail, and she actually didn't think the other judges were giving them harsh enough sentences.
I guarantee you she's mean.
I was in front of her for a trial.
Well, you might call it a trial.
I didn't get to testify.
I didn't get to put it in heaven.
It's like the judge the other day who rendered his opinion in my case in New York, Judge Lewis Lyman.
I finished my testimony.
My lawyer gave a summation.
The other lawyer gave a summation.
The judge took five minutes or ten minutes, went inside, and came out and gave us the entire 22-page opinion, which means, why did he waste my time testifying?
And why is this mean woman wasting her time having me?
I know what she's going to do.
She can hold me in contempt.
See if I'm right.
I could write the opinion.
She will say I'm lying.
I'm not lying.
You know, why would I lie about this?
I didn't lie about Russian collusion.
They did.
I didn't lie about the hard drive.
They did.
I spent my life putting criminals in jail.
They spent their time persecuting people for political reasons.
Well.
We're going to have someone on shortly in Los Angeles.
I spoke to my daughter who is in Arizona right now, but she lives in Los Angeles.
And of course, she's not going back for a while.
And she's quite concerned for a lot of her friends.
This was a terrible, terrible fire.
It wasn't a fire.
It was four fires.
If you look at the map, Ted, can we show them the map there?
You see there are four fires.
In order of seriousness, the Palisades fire, which you see there is right on the coast, which goes right down to the Pacific Ocean, was the worst.
15,800 acres burned.
You see the dark brown and then the lighter brown or almost gold color.
The dark brown is the area that was mandatory evacuation, and the other, I guess, was up to you if you wanted to evacuate or not.
But you can see how much of it was under evacuation orders.
And you can see how close it came to taking out Santa Monica, which is right there.
Then the second worst fire was up north.
That would be, actually, that would be south, actually.
That would be southwest.
East, sorry.
Southeast.
Pasadena.
Pasadena, where they just had the Rose Bowl.
10,600 acres burned.
No water in Pasadena.
There's a description by a citizen there who said his entire area.
There wasn't a single firefighter or warder during the entire fire.
This city and state is so incompetently run that it's criminal.
What happened here is criminal.
The fire, how do I know what started the fire?
And of course the Santa Ana winds made it much worse.
I'm talking about the response to the fire.
The fire hydrants don't have water.
What the hell are you having for?
Decorations?
The governor turns down a proposition to get water because he might kill smells.
And they died anyway, by the way.
The mayor cuts $18 million from the fire department budget to spend it on homelessness, which he doesn't do, and then spends some of it on DEI so the fire department can be inclusive.
This is the fire department, lady.
This isn't, you know, some kind of porn.
Fire department.
And when you do crap like DEI, like real tough guys, they don't want to be part of it.
Which is what's happening with our military.
And our recruits are way down.
You should know in my police department in New York, the recruits are way down.
They really don't think they have to get a four-credit course from a drag queen.
Not exactly in their DNA. And then she never rehired back all the COVID people, the firefighters who were smart enough not to take the dangerous vaccine that never was tested.
The reason that vaccine was so dangerous was it was never tested.
It was never tested so Fauci and his crooks could make billions.
Because if you tested it, it would take a couple more years.
And then you'd have to actually use the medicines that could contain COVID as they did in other countries that we didn't use because of greed.
Kennedy's book explains it beautifully.
So you had four different fires.
The Palisade fire is right on the water.
The Eden Fire up in Pasadena.
The Sunset Fire, which was the smallest of them, right near Beverly Hills.
And then the Hearst Fire up near Santa Clara.
And now, what's happening right now?
I think the winds have died down.
There is reports that it's going to start again, so we'll have to keep...
We will have to keep our eyes on California and Los Angeles.
And hopefully, Mayor Bass will resign out of decency.
I mean, she came back last night and she was a blithering idiot and was definitely in a state of shock.
She couldn't even, I mean, she was, they asked a question and she wasn't even as articulate as Biden and Kamala Harris.
And that's saying something.
A father and son who were thought to be alive, hostages who were thought to be alive, were found dead the other day in the Gaza Strip.
Yousef Zadani and Hamza Zadani.
They both were taken at Kibbutz Holot on October 7th.
They were found in an underground tunnel in the southern Gaza city of Rafa.
Which you might remember Biden and Harris didn't want Bibi to go into and said that they would lose 100,000 people in Rafah.
It was more like six.
And they were able to clean it out.
And they never would have found these bodies if they didn't go in.
In fact, if they had listened to Biden and Harris, Assad would still be sitting there.
And so would the entire leadership of Hamas and Hezbollah.
And Iran would be fat and happy.
On the $100 billion that Biden gave.
So here, I mean, this is another unbelievable thing.
Our government didn't pay attention to these people.
We've done nothing to try to get them out.
Oh, yeah, Blinken negotiates.
I mean, that's like Mickey Mouse negotiating.
A little sissy boy negotiates.
I mean, they'd yell out how many cries.
Who knows how many of them are alive?
There, theoretically, are seven Americans left, of which we think at least three are dead.
Now, I will say, however, that if I were Hamas, I would take Trump very seriously.
I would take him very seriously.
When he appeared with Whitcoff yesterday to talk about the negotiations for the hostages, Whitcoff said they were getting close.
And Trump just repeated rather calmly that it better get done before he comes into office because hell will be set loose if they're not released.
Now, this is not Obama.
This is not Biden.
This is a man.
A real man.
And an American.
And a loyal one.
He didn't get all kinds of bribes from China.
He wasn't trained as a communist as a young man.
And he's already shown that he can kick the hell out of our enemies when he has to.
I would say...
That if they don't return the hostages, whatever is left of Hamas, there will be no Hamas.
And I also think he will allow Israel to occupy parts of the Palestinian Authority for as long as they want to.
So go chew on that, you terrorist bastards.
Yeah.
Look, just because there are a bunch of Marxist idiots in this country who, Who parade around in favor of you.
Do you really think most of this country doesn't see you for what you are?
A bunch of Islamic extremist terrorists who are following the worst of Muhammad's teachings to kill us and destroy us.
Mass killings.
I have a suggestion, however.
Which I do not want to take complete credit for, although I've had this suggestion for about eight years.
Two gentlemen, John Hanner and Michael Makovsky, in The Post today.
And they are a senior fellow at the Jewish Institute for National Security.
And the other is the president and CEO. Their recommendation is Iran is about as weak as it's ever been.
Right now.
Think about it.
Iran operates through proxies.
Who and what were their proxies?
Hamas.
Virtually gone.
And if they make a mistake, they will be gone forever.
Hezbollah, its leadership decimated to such an extent they have withdrawn basically from any key position in Lebanon.
And couldn't help keep Assad in power anymore.
Assad, part of the Islamic Empire, the Iranian Islamic Empire.
Where is he?
He's sitting in Russia with the billions that he stole, but he's not running anything right now.
And what's going on with the Houthis?
Bibi is bombing the hell out of him every day.
He's doing our dirty work for us.
And Iran...
Iran doesn't know what the hell to do.
They know that very shortly they're going to get hit with sanctions to put them back where they were before, which is a country where people protest every day and are selling their internal organs for $500.
They're not going to be getting the billions and billions that Biden was feeding them.
That can be gone quickly.
They're not going to be selling oil to anybody because we're going to stop it.
And what they suggest is that either we or we give Israel the help to take out every single nuclear facility they have and set them back four or five years.
Now, there are people who say, oh, well, they'll just go back and rebuild it.
Yeah, that'll cost billions of dollars.
They don't have it.
It also might lead to the overthrow of probably the most dangerous man in the world, the head of the reign of terror, the Ayatollah, who was Ronald Reagan's worst nightmare.
Ronald Reagan used to say that mutually assured destruction is a very tenuous way to have peace in the world because it relies on...
America and Russia both being able to destroy the world.
Therefore, none of us, neither one of us will do it unless one of us has an irrational leader.
Well, what the hell is the Ayatollah if he isn't an irrational leader?
Although there's a question about that, isn't there?
Because when the Israelis pulled off the brilliant maneuver of getting all those cell phones and pagers to go off and bomb the hell out of these animals, the Ayatollah went in hiding.
So I guess he's not sure about this paradise thing and whether he's going to get 72 versions.
I mean, the Israelis have killed so many of these Islamic extremists and jihadists.
It's quite possible there are none left.
Or what's left are really the dregs.
As you can tell, I think.
A bunch of...
Well, in any event...
Unfortunately, in our wonderful, beautiful country and my former city, they put out a report today that more than half of the hate crimes last year in New York were anti-Semitic.
How about 54%?
Or as Biden, again, was completely wrong and moving in absolutely the wrong direction as he talked about Islamophobia, but never talked about anti-Semitism.
There were 43 hate crimes involving Islam and 323 involving Jews and nothing done about Jews by the city or by Biden.
One of the people who commented on the report said that the blame for this is squarely on Biden, that he's not done enough to crack down on anti-Semitism.
How about he hasn't done anything to crack down on it?
Instead, wants to crack down on Catholics who go to Latin mass.
I don't know, maybe he doesn't even remember that we used to have a Latin mass because he doesn't have any brain cells left.
He didn't have many before he got the minute.
Can you imagine what's left now?
The mayor of New York, who is a Democrat, and therefore you can assume he's corrupt, but we're not sure he's corrupt, largely because he's being prosecuted by a corrupt administration, the Biden administration.
And he only was prosecuted after he criticized Biden.
And there are people in New York, including the governor, where there's far more probable cause that they committed much more serious crimes.
And upgrading tickets.
But they remained kissing Biden's backside and covering up for him.
So here's the problem with Adams.
They may be investigating him for corrupt reasons, political vendetta, like they're investigating Trump and me, but there may actually be crimes there.
But I'm not talking about the upgrading of airplanes.
So yesterday, I don't know where they learned this.
Yesterday, they put out a report saying the U.S. Attorney's Office, my old office, I think.
I think it's in the Southern District.
They put out a report saying there are additional crimes that Adams committed.
Why are you doing that?
Don't you understand the ethics of being a prosecutor?
You don't put out reports just generally saying that people committed additional crimes.
When you're ready to charge them, you charge them.
And then you prove it.
You don't put out reports, Smith and Garfield.
Garfield the cat, our Attorney General.
What the hell is his name?
Garland, yeah, Garland.
Garfield.
Well, Mayor, we have our first live report from On The Ground Up.

Welcome back to America's Mayor Live, and Katie Zachariah is waiting for us.
And she's out there in the wind.
There doesn't seem to be that much wind, Katie.
Well, I have to tell you, the wind's actually picking up right now.
Just before your show, there was a massive, dense cloud of smoke that has since dissipated and is heading towards the shore right now.
We are seeing higher winds than we saw earlier today, which is not good news.
Well, so tell us, it looks like...
What I see, I don't see fire in back of you.
I see some smoke way, way in the distance.
Is that smoke or a cloud?
So that is a lot of smoke.
We just had a new fire crop up right over here.
Yeah, I see that.
And right behind me, what you see is the Pacific Palisades, actually.
And it seems further away.
I know, I need a second.
With the wind, the winds have shifted the smoke clouds, but it is actually pretty close right now.
So what's the forecast now for, you know, for the rest of the day?
I mean, you're around 5 o'clock now?
Yeah, we're around 5 o'clock.
And if I were to go any more south and then decide to go north, all of northbound traffic is completely jammed.
And everybody is leaving Southern California right now.
All the surface streets are packed.
101 Freeway to get out of LA County is at a gridlock stop, which I know that doesn't sound unfamiliar to LA County, but for this area, it is extraordinarily rare.
And where are you?
Are you near the water?
I'm in Westlake Village.
Malibu is just over this mountain range right here.
Okay.
And Pacific Palisades is just behind me.
And our new fire is called the West Hills Fire.
I'm looking on the map.
I have a map here.
I have a map here that I'm referring to.
So I see exactly where you are.
You're near Malibu.
Yeah, near Malibu.
And the fire is very much coming through the canyon.
If you can see kind of towards the left there, my left.
I can see it now better.
It's coming through that canyon.
How far away is that, Katie?
And actually you can see fire just on the ridge.
As night falls, the fire is creeping over the ridge as we speak.
Yeah.
How far away?
How far away is that?
We're about a 20-minute drive to Malibu and about a 30-minute drive to Palisades.
And is that where that fire is?
That's where the devastating fire is.
That's where I think 6,000 homes have been burned.
I have many friends who've lost their homes.
Also in the Altadena area, Pasadena area homes, my friends have lost their homes as well.
It's literally Los Angeles is an inferno right now.
Have most people left or not?
I think a lot of people are leaving now that this new fire has started.
For the Pacific Palisades, they didn't have that much warning.
So I think everyone just dispersed as quickly as possible.
This has a little bit more warning.
There's a lot more brush.
The winds have been a lot calmer than they were the day the Palisades fire started.
So people are packing up and just getting out of here, especially before the smoke descends.
Yeah, it's really sad.
It's really scary.
And what it is, if I'm honest with you, this is a failure of leadership, completely statewide, and especially in L.A. County.
It's a complete failure of leadership.
Yeah, well, people feel they have no adult supervision.
They have nobody in charge of this.
It knows what they're doing.
If you don't have water, you can't fight a fire.
You don't have water if your mayor decides to cut the budget.
By almost 20 million dollars for the firefighters, for the fire departments.
She was sent a warning by...
By a number of people, but a very, very firm warning on cutting that budget, that it would directly impact the firefighters' ability to fight wildfires, specifically wildfires.
So she decided to go forward and still cut that budget by, I think, $17.5 million, if I'm not mistaken, and then heads to Ghana when we have massive winds and comes back on a military plane the day that her whole city that she's supposed to be in charge of is in Inferno.
Now, Katie, how long are you going to stay there?
Well, I'm going to show you we have a lot of aircrafts up in the air right now coming in with resources for these fires.
I'm going to stay at least overnight.
Kids' schools were evacuated and closed today.
Likely, I'll probably be leaving sometime tomorrow, depending on the containment of this fire that's in our area, which is the West Hills.
I think it's named the Kenneth Fire, if I'm not mistaken.
If you were going to exit LA, how would you do it?
You would have to go north or south?
So I have family north.
So I would be one of the millions of people on the road right now on 101 North.
Is that where most people are going?
They're going up north?
Most people are going north or south.
It's going to be 101. I-5 are pretty much going to be gridlocked and closed.
And I-5's up in, you know, the middle of the grapevine.
It's going to be treacherous and really hard right now to be driving anywhere.
Yeah, I mean, my daughter lives not far from where the Sunset Fire was, you know, near that Beverly Hills area.
But luckily, she was in Arizona and is going to stay there.
And she also has friends who...
Lost their homes and don't know what to do.
Some stayed, some didn't.
And I think most people are now deciding to leave, even though before, a lot of people stayed, I think.
Yeah, it's hard to know what to do, and it's hard to know which way the winds will blow, quite literally.
I work on an initiative called Fix California with former Ambassador Rick Grinnell, and he's down in Manhattan Beach.
And they were sent by the...
The emergency services, they were sent an emergency evacuation notice.
Get this.
By mistake, by mistake, Manhattan Beach was told to evacuate immediately.
Watch out!
Yes.
And we are just, and I got a notice from Pepperdine University that another accidental evacuation notice was sent out to the people near the Kenneth fire.
So who's in charge?
Do we have anybody in charge?
Is anybody filling our fire hydrants?
Is anybody worried about our water reservoirs?
Is anybody caring about the people more than the smelt fish, which we talked about yesterday?
And who is sending out these emergency alerts, sending people into sheer terror that they're going to lose their home?
Who's sending this out?
Yeah, I, I, this is, fire is terrible.
Of course, California has had this problem for years, like Florida has the hurricane problem and New York has snow problem.
I mean, we all have different natural disasters to deal with.
But the idea of mayors and governors is to ease that.
And they've compounded it dramatically.
Dramatically.
And plus they have people, because they give no advice, they don't know what they're doing.
I mean, everybody should be advised as to how to exit.
They should be using alternative ways to do it.
You've got an awful lot of highways in Los Angeles.
There are a lot of ways.
There are a lot of ways you can go.
They don't all have to be going in one direction.
You could even go south and then later go north.
But people should be giving that advice.
They should be on television giving advice to people with routes that are mapped out.
The emergency service people should be, well, I don't know.
I used to do this, you know, obsessively, and I can think it's so many things that should be done that aren't being done.
I'm so angry.
I'm so angry.
Did you see the governor?
I was about to say he was running from the media pretending he had a phone call from President Biden so he didn't have to be accountable or take questions for these types of things that you're saying he should be doing.
You're absolutely right.
Who is in charge?
Why aren't they giving people instructions on what to do?
Gavin Newsom continues to evade accountability.
He continues to not be held accountable by the voters or he isn't.
We just don't know what's...
What's crazy?
It's crazy, and we're suffering from it today.
Katie, what possibly could Joe Biden be able to tell him that would be helpful?
That you should have vanilla ice cream?
Right.
He doesn't even know who the hell he is.
He's going to tell him how to fight a fire?
The guy can't walk up the stairs.
No.
He has no brain.
So that's a complete, really ridiculous thing.
I have to talk to President Biden.
Like, that could wait.
It could wait about 10 years, you know?
He was asleep at President Carter's funeral today.
I'm sure you saw the footage.
He probably doesn't remember he was there.
Probably not.
Yeah.
Even if it's true that he had to get off of Biden, it's ridiculous.
Much more important to answer the questions of the press.
Which is not to answer that.
It's to give your citizens guidance.
You know, you're the governor.
You're the mayor.
You have access to a lot more information than they do.
I assume they have emergency services units that they work with, but they probably don't.
They're so damn lazy.
They're such dilettantes.
Yeah.
I mean, we used to practice, have an emergency drill two times a month of one kind or another.
My people by instinct knew what to do.
And that's why they were able to handle the September 11th.
I mean, I was confident on September 11th because I had such well-trained, good people.
But this is terrible.
These people have been abandoned.
The emergency people are abandoned.
I put a picture on before the firefighters with a flaccid A fire hose, meaning no water in it.
A big fire in front of them and they have no water.
I don't know what the firefighters are supposed to do.
Well, I hope this results in some political change.
We could use a mayor like you.
Thank you.
You could use a mayor.
Any mayor.
Well, we have one, but she's not doing a very good job.
No, you don't have a mayor.
You've got something else.
I don't know what that is.
Ted, you got any questions?
Just a couple quick questions, Katie.
Number one, can you tell our viewers once again exactly where you are and where the camera is showing over your shoulder?
Yeah, I am.
Can you hear me okay?
Yes, we can.
Okay, perfect.
Behind me is the Pacific Palisades.
I am in Westlake Village.
Right over here is the Kenneth Fire just over that mountainside.
And then the plumes of smoke billowing over the hills over here is the Palisades Fire.
And then that's Malibu just over that ridge.
Right.
Malibu is to your right.
Yes.
Yep, yep.
And then Santa Monica would be all the way in the other direction, right?
No, so Santa Monica is just beyond that mountain range, where you see that smoke, it's just beyond that mountain range.
Oh, and we just lost...
Oh, there you are, Katie.
Let me just ask you one other question.
What kind of damage happened in Santa Monica?
Maybe she could do that.
Have you lost us?
All right, we'll put her off camera just in case she's...
On the map that I have, it shows Santa Monica slightly out of the area of evacuation.
She's back on with us.
Just briefly, we'll wrap this up.
We want to make sure Katie's staying safe.
You had another question, though, Mayor.
Yeah, I just wanted to know, Santa Monica, did it reach Santa Monica?
It hasn't reached Santa Monica yet, but they are mandatory evacuation.
What we're seeing right now is the fire has drastically moved into Malibu.
The footage is actually quite horrifying.
I went to Pepperdine Underground and Pepperdine Law.
That is where I spent the majority of my young adult life, and it is devastating, devastating to see the wreckage.
We've never seen anything like this, Mayor.
We've literally never seen anything like this in California, in Southern California.
And I've been through a fire almost every year at Pepperdine.
Of course.
I mean, we know that because they're covered all the time.
Every year, it seems like there is a fire.
But this is definitely the worst in the history of California.
And the Palisades fire in particular.
The others are pretty bad, too, but the Palisades is the worst.
So let's hope.
The footage there is pretty difficult to look at and it looks similar to what we saw in Maui, right?
It went so fast and just leveled so many homes so quickly and we need to have something done about this quickly on a national level.
This type of gross negligence should not be tolerated any longer.
Yeah, you're absolutely right.
Well, Katie, God bless you, and you remain safe, and you tell all your friends we're praying for them, okay?
All right.
Thank you.
Such a privilege to be on.
And keep us updated.
We want to make sure we know what's going on and that you're staying safe.
Thank you so much, Katie.
Thank you, Katie.
Okay, thank you.
You know, what a shame going through that.
I mean, she's a very brave girl.
I'll tell you, a woman.
She's a very brave woman.
That's right, Mayor.
And, you know, you being from New York, me being from Michigan, you know, wildfires aren't something that, you know, I'm not sure exactly.
Well, I know how you'd handle it.
Well, no, we had, I didn't have to handle it, but we had a wildfire while I was mayor in Suffolk County.
And we gave them aid, but they handled it quite well.
But it was devastating.
I mean, I would drive past that area every weekend going to the Hamptons.
It was devastated for 15, 20 years.
Everything burned on both sides of the highway.
Wow.
It went on for days and days.
So you don't think of it, but there's a Pine Barren out there, and it just went up in flames.
And if I recall correctly, they think it was a cigarette.
Wow.
Somebody going...
Wow.
And so there are emerging questions about whether or not arson is involved.
In some of these cases here.
Could be.
There was also speculation.
But again, who knows that maybe the homeless encampments, of which there are so many, they're fire hazards in and of themselves because they're borrowing electricity from the public electricity.
They're creating electricity.
They're creating fires.
Obviously, they're not terribly careful about it.
They have been the cause of other fires.
Now, we don't know if they are, but if you're speculating, that would have to be on your list.
Or as simple as somebody just being negligent.
Oh gosh, look how bad it is.
This is not tonight.
These are pictures.
This is from yesterday morning, so we're trying to find something more updated.
As Katie was talking to us, you could see the fire was getting worse in back of her.
That also could be produced by the fact it was getting darker, so it stood out more.
It might have remained the same, and it might have been a lot worse at the beginning if we didn't realize it because it was daylight.
These are some very harrowing images we've been seeing these last few days.
Maybe this is a reminder to people that political choices have consequences, This isn't like another...
Sometimes politics is treated like it's entertainment.
The quality and the ability of your public officials may very well affect whether you live or die.
There's no doubt in my mind that Joseph R. Biden is responsible for more deaths as a president than any president in peacetime.
In American history.
And more responsible for negligent death than any president in history.
All you have to do is look at Afghanistan and Ukraine.
And that alone would exceed anyone.
Ukraine doesn't happen under somebody who handles Afghanistan correctly.
That definitely doesn't happen under Trump.
And it didn't.
The best evidence that it wouldn't happen under Trump is it's the only time Putin didn't invade.
He invaded under Bush, he invaded under Obama, and he invaded under Biden as soon as Biden proved to be feckless and an appeaser.
How many times did Biden say in the build-up to the Ukrainian invasion, no boots on the ground, no boots on the ground, no boots, sounded like he's afraid.
And Putin, I don't know if you realize it, but...
I studied Putin.
Putin played him like a fiddle.
He made him say that so often that Putin wasn't taking a risk when he came in.
He got him actually to go so far as to say, if this isn't a big invasion, we wouldn't do anything.
What a stupid idiotic thing to say.
Now contrast that with Trump saying, I'm not taking off the table using military force in Panama.
Well, why should he?
Trump is there.
What the hell do the Panamanians have China, red China, in our canal?
We built the damn thing.
The Panamanians didn't.
We gave it to them for a buck.
And part of the deal is, if they do anything to affect the neutrality of that canal, we can use military force.
So Trump was not just speaking off the top of his head.
There's a treaty that supports that.
And you don't think the big mouth president of Panama isn't saying to himself, maybe that guy will use military force?
What the hell would you take it off the table for?
Unless you're, you know, an appeasing idiot like we had before the Second World War.
I don't understand how we don't learn from history.
There should be an American who doesn't realize that a peace leads to war.
When you're dealing with tyrants.
And we're dealing with tyrants.
Putin's a tyrant.
He's a tyrant.
The Ayatollah is a madman.
And basically the biggest financier of the Ayatollah in the last four years has been the American government.
But you can see that they're frightened as hell.
Israel has done a great job of weakening them every day, and now they're taking out the Houthis.
Eventually, they'll have no proxies left, so the Iranians are going to have to stand up and fight for themselves.
The last time the Iranians fought for themselves, they couldn't defeat Iraq in seven years.
So I would get all nervous about the quality of the Iranian military force.
And if I were Iran, I'd get really nervous.
Just think of the difference about what we did in Iraq and what they did in Iraq.
In seven years, they moved about three miles back and forth at the border.
In, what was it, four months, we destroyed them.
You don't think that could happen to the Ayatollah in order to take out the nuclear weapons?
I think the new administration is considering that.
Maybe that's the all hell is going to break loose.
I'd like all hell to break loose and do something constructive, like get rid of the reign of terror.
You're not going to have peace in the Middle East until the Ayatollah And the Islamic Republic of Iran is gone.
And it becomes a peaceful country.
Not impossible.
A lot of people in Iran.
It's not a failed state like Palestine, where every single one of them is trained from the day they're born to kill us and to kill Jews.
Iranians are...
Very well-educated people.
They're of all different nationalities.
They're not all Persian.
They have very varying views, and they're held in captivity.
You can see it by the protests they had for two or three straight years when they had a president like Trump who supported it.
Now they realize, because they're smart, that Biden's on the Ayatollah side.
Why?
I don't know.
You've got to go ask him.
The Communists around them, why?
I don't know why they support the Ayatollah.
But I mean, remember, Obama was giving him cash.
Oh, by the way, Obama should be in jail for that.
That's money laundering.
Cash to a terrorist?
Imagine if you gave $100 million worth of cash to Ben Laden.
What would happen?
What's the difference between Ayatollah and Ben Laden?
Well, that's right, Mayor.
Actually, the Ayatollah will probably kill more people.
Oh, of course.
Well, Mayor, let's bring in, if now's a good time, our second guest coming to us live.
I'll let him know where he's coming in from.
Leo Zaki, who is, in fact, I believe he's filed his papers to run for governor of the great state of California.
He's a friend of the show.
He's been with us in person in Palm Beach and New York.
We love Leo.
Good friend of the show.
First of all, Leo, we want to make sure you're safe.
And go ahead and give us an update.
Hello, Leo.
How are you?
Are you safe?
No, it's not.
Leo, we don't have.
It's not you, Mayor.
We do not have your audio.
Leo, we do not have audio from you.
So we'll check back in in a few minutes.
Again, a lot of folks, there are major service disruptions.
In and around the Los Angeles area.
Does anything work?
Leo lives at the...
Yeah, that's a good point, right?
Even before the fires.
Leo is just at the foot of the Getty Museum.
Is that what you were...
Not the Getty Villa.
That's on the coast.
But the Getty structure.
Is that a museum?
The Getty Museum.
He lives right at the base of that.
I know he's been having some major...
Major issues, but his home as of now is still standing, I believe.
That's to the south, right?
So we'll hope to get Leo on.
Of course, service disruptions complicate things greatly.
And so we'll just stay on with that, Mayor.
He's at the Getty Museum, not the Getty Villa.
We had a picture of the Getty Villa burning down, right?
The Getty Museum is still standing.
A lot of smoke.
And so Leo had to move.
He did have to move.
And we will wait to see if he's able to make a good connection.
But we want Leo to be safe, first and foremost.
Oh, yeah, absolutely.
So he can check in with us even tomorrow or when he's...
Like those people that I was showing.
So we'll keep an eye on that, Mayor, of course.
Updates on these fires.
New fires have broken out.
The latest today, the Kenneth Fire erupted Thursday afternoon and quickly spread to more than 500 acres.
The devastation there is...
The devastation out there is catastrophic, according to President Biden.
Kamala Harris called the fires apocalyptic.
Does she know what that means?
That's a big word for Kamala.
Does she know what that means?
I don't believe so.
Apocalyptic.
Is big.
Non-apocalyptic isn't big.
That's Kamala.
So late Thursday, evacuation orders were made for the West Hills neighborhood as this new fire, the Kenneth Fire, grows.
Air quality does remain a serious concern to health officials.
Firefighters from neighboring states and Canada have been flooding into LA to help fight these fires.
The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department confirmed the death of a person.
In the Palisades Fire, bringing the death toll to now six.
That is expected to rise.
A technical error resulted in thousands of residents receiving a misleading evacuation notice.
The L.A. Lakers canceled their game tonight against the Charlotte Hornets.
And their head coach, J.J. Redick, is one of the thousands of Angelenos whose homes have been destroyed by the fire.
The Woodley Fire and the Sunset Fire are now both 100% contained, but the two largest blazes...
Are still considered 0% contained.
And another Santa Ana wind event has been forecasted for Monday and Tuesday.
I believe the Palisades.
And then the other one, I believe, starts with an H. The Palisades fire remains 0% contained.
The Eaton fire is still 0% contained.
The Hearst fire.
Well, those were the two biggest.
Yep, those two are 0%.
All of the Getty properties, including the museum, are within a few miles of each other.
And they're sort of in the middle, right in the middle of it.
You know where she was talking to us?
That's pretty close to where the Getty Villa was.
Yeah, did she say Santa Monica?
I wasn't able...
Where was she?
She was in between Santa Monica and Malibu, and sounds to me like she was closer to Malibu.
Yes.
And the Getty Villa is almost equidistant between Santa Monica and Malibu, right on the coast.
The Getty Center is inland a little bit more, but still within the Pacific Palisades Fire.
And then the Getty Museum...
Which they don't show as easily on the map.
But the Getty Museum is between the two.
I'm back there.
Right outside of the Pacific Palace.
So if he's anywhere near any of those Getty properties, he's in danger.
We do have Leo back on.
We have audio with Leo.
Good.
Leo, let us know.
Sorry.
Go ahead.
So the Getty Villa is what's burned down.
The Getty Center is right by where I live.
It's still standing, but it's very close to the flames.
I'm here in the Pacific Palisades overlooking PCH right now.
There's a ton of smoke.
Behind me are some burned out homes.
I don't know if you can make that out here.
It's quite dark right now.
But if we pan over here to the other side, off in the distance is the Santa Monica Pier.
The lights are on there down at the pier.
But everything below me right now has all been burned out.
And this is just complete devastation.
If we get a little closer, maybe we can make out this burned out home right here.
So there's a lot of just destruction going on.
And this is all thanks to poor leadership.
I mean, all the homes up here in the Palisades, for the most part, and the businesses have been completely wiped out.
Again, this is something avoidable because California, we're one of the few states that has an insurance commissioner, and that insurance commissioner has a lot of power, and they've capped the rates here for insurance companies.
And because of that, we've had the insurance companies leave and not insure homes because of all the excess wildfires that we have here in California.
It's all avoidable.
And this, again, this comes directly from the high ups and the governor who put this stuff into place.
And like I said, The companies, they have two options because they can either go broke paying for all these fires at the capped rates or they can choose not to insure.
So they do the business decision and they choose not to insure.
But this is the government limiting people to have the fire insurance.
There are a lot of folks who have homes here that don't have fire insurance.
A friend of mine has lost their home in this fire.
Those people who lost their homes didn't have fire insurance?
Yeah, there are people.
Yeah.
They've lost their fire insurance.
I mean, these homes, I've heard that home average cost in this fire here in Palisades is about $5 or $6 million.
So this is going to be exorbitantly expensive.
And they love to blame and say that it's global warming.
Folks, this isn't global warming.
This is horrible mismanagement.
The state.
Yeah.
Global warming.
Exactly.
But they've got a whole generation convinced that it is.
Right.
You can't tax your way out of this.
Gavin Newsom just destroyed dams up in the Klamath River that we desperately needed to have those water reserves.
He's been dumping fresh water into the ocean.
And the reservoirs here in Southern California have run out of water due to the fire.
And so the fire hydrants don't have water or water pressure to help fight the blazes here.
That's totally unforgivable.
Well, that's totally unforgivable.
Oh, completely unforgivable.
But again, something avoidable.
Mayor Karen Bass has cut the funding to the fire department this year by $17.6 million.
And on top of that, her and Gavin Newsom gave away LA's extra, quote-unquote, extra firefighting equipment to the Ukraine.
Well, let me tell you something about extra.
When you have a disaster and you need it, and you don't have it, sounds like you didn't have extra to give.
I can't imagine that.
A governor and mayor in California would give away firefighting equipment.
It's your major natural disaster that you're facing.
It would be like, as mayor of New York, my giving away snow fighting equipment.
I mean, I need all the snow fighting equipment I can get.
And you never know how bad the fire is going to be.
But, I mean, the two of them are...
Criminal.
In the way in which they've handled this.
I mean, I think this should, after this, be a criminal investigation of both of them.
That's right, Mayor.
And so, of course, as we've talked about...
They killed people.
I mean, they might as well have just gone and put the houses on fire themselves.
What is the mayor of...
How could you possibly have fire hydrants without water in them?
I mean, one, maybe.
Two.
We're reading here an entire city had no fire hydrants.
The guy over near Pasadena recites that his entire neighborhood there was no water, not even water for his hose, for his garden hose.
He was fighting and trying to save his home by throwing dirt on him.
Now, maybe he doesn't have insurance.
I didn't even think of that.
This is unforgivable.
I don't care if you're a Democrat, a Republican, a liberal, a conservative, or a nitwit.
This is unforgivable.
And come on.
If you didn't see this coming with this guy, Gavin Newhead, then you're dopey.
This guy's been a jackass since when he went in for rehabilitation.
I've forgotten.
He went in for rehabilitation for...
Was it drugs or drinking or?
Any number.
It could have been for any number of things.
When he was the mayor of San Francisco.
Are you talking about not Marion Barry?
No.
Oh, Gavin Newsom.
You're saying that Gavin Newsom went through therapy.
He thought it would be better if he said he would be more sympathetic in California if he said he was a drug addict.
What?
No problem, yeah.
It's better to be an alcoholic, you know, be very sympathetic with Californians.
Oh, I mean, Gavin Newsom, and look, by the way, I... Big marijuana proponent.
That's right.
Big marijuana proponent.
And anyone right now saying we can't talk politics during this emergency, they're providing cover for Gavin Newsom, Karen Bass, and a bunch of failed leaders who have no business running a popcorn stand.
Let alone the second largest city in America.
If you don't talk politics now, you don't care about human life.
Absolutely.
Gavin Newsom should resign.
The one thing Justin Trudeau did, he showed a little bit of honor, is resign when he knew he was failure.
Newsom should resign in disgrace.
Karen Bass shouldn't serve another day in office.
These people are a disgrace.
Last night she should have gone to a hospital when she couldn't, it looked like she couldn't move her mouth.
That's right, Mayor.
And you brought this up yesterday.
She looked to be in complete shock.
We'll play that video.
We want to go back to Leo one more time.
We know he's in a...
Honestly, Leo, we want you to be safe.
But let's close out with...
He's kind of in the center where the worst damage is.
He really is.
Leo, we got you back.
Are you with us?
Yeah.
Leo, tell us about your phone.
I'm with you guys.
There's a fire...
Well, my home is okay right now.
I'm just on the other side of the 405, but if the winds shift, who knows what could happen?
My brother had to evacuate his home in the Hollywood Hills last night.
When you say you're on the other side of the 405, where are you?
Near Westwood or Bel Air?
Yeah, I'm north of Westwood.
Yeah, I'm in Bel Air.
Bel Air at the foot of the Getty, just over the 405 from the Getty Museum.
Yeah, I see it.
I see where it is, yeah.
Ted's been there.
He knows.
Oh, I've been there.
We've got to protect that place.
That's a nice place we've got there.
It is.
I'm very lucky to have it.
Unfortunately, a lot of folks aren't so lucky and they've lost their homes.
But again, this is sheer incompetence.
This is a failure of government without question.
The dry shrubbery.
Let me just show you a little bit of what this kindling kind of looks like.
I've got the camera guy following me.
Just take a look here.
Yeah, we can see it better now.
Yeah, that's good.
Look at this.
See, there's all sorts of shrubs like this.
It's all dry.
It's all dry.
It's the kind of stuff that leads to fires because they're not doing the necessary cleanup.
They're not doing the underbrush clearing.
And it's this that litters our neighborhoods and our state that is causing this kind of fire to take place.
I don't know if you guys can see this ash falling all around me right now.
Skip, you can bring that ash.
It's raining ash literally right there.
And again, this is something President Trump was made fun of for.
He talked about the lack of forest management in California.
People have been criticizing Newsom for years.
That's right.
To doing nothing.
Yeah.
Not at all.
And this is something that I talk about heavily in my plan for California.
Right.
And it's the same reason we don't have our desalinization plants functional either.
Why?
This is just out of control.
Part of my solutions here for California include underbrush clearing, include building more reservoirs and storing our water.
This is all, again, this is an event that is man-made.
We've also seen arsonists.
I don't know if you guys have seen that starting fires in Santa Monica.
I've seen videos of people throwing cans of gas by the brush on the side of the road.
Again, they're pushing the false narrative.
Of climate change, and you have these accelerationists out there to do that.
I mean, you've got a lot of useful idiots, unfortunately, as Antifa people that hate this country, that think that we're all going to die because of global warming, the polar bears are going to drown, and it's just not true.
And they're willing to destroy the lives of people.
I mean, people have already died.
We know five are already dead in this fire.
So this is, again, a real tragedy, and it's avoidable.
Yeah, well, good luck, Leo, and you be safe.
Are you going to have to evacuate at some point?
Hopefully not.
Right now the winds have calmed down, but it's a firestorm, so anything could happen.
So hopefully I don't have to, but my brother did.
He's evacuated.
He's safe with us right now, but we're praying that it's going to stay okay and that they're going to get these knocked down.
Stay in close touch, Leo.
That's all we can do.
I know we're on the other side of the country.
They've been running airdrops around the clock all day.
I've been seeing the DC-10s coming in, dropping the FOS check in the helicopters.
They're fighting back as best they can, but with the limits that have been put on them by our government and the people in control, this is something that was completely avoidable.
This is why we need to get good people in there.
That's why I'm running for governor in California.
I'm looking for everybody's support.
Please do so.
Check me out on leozaki.com.
Thank you, guys.
I'll cover this for you all tomorrow, too, if you like.
Yeah, we do.
That's great coverage.
And thank you.
You seem to know a hell of a lot more about it than the governor.
It sounds like you'd be a better governor already.
Thanks, Leo.
I'd like that as well.
Thanks, Mr. Leo.
With the governor you have, that's not even a compliment.
Leo is quite a remarkable guy.
I know.
It's really a shame.
All right, Leo, we'll be in touch.
I appreciate that, Chair.
I'm going to text you after the show.
You take care of yourself.
He's a good man.
Absolutely.
Thank you so much.
I really admire both of them.
We've got to check in on him now.
Being out there, letting us know what's happening, because if you don't discuss what happened here, it's just going to happen again and again and again and again and again.
I mean, this is a condition that has probably afflicted California since it was a desert.
Washington, D.C. over there is built on a swamp.
California, that part of California, Southern California, or Middle California, whatever you want to consider it, is built on a desert.
If it weren't for development, the desert would go right out to the ocean, just like it does in Bala.
So when they say it's very warm, it's been very warm there.
Maybe millions of years.
Probably was warmer.
If you haven't figured out by now that climate change and global warming is a major con job to make money and to force us into changing our culture, our government.
To become part of the big one-world dream of Prince Obama, Gates, Arnold Schwab?
Want to take a look at his background sometime?
How about Soros, the guy who got the Medal of Honor Award, who, you know...
Throughout his life has been distinguished by getting people killed.
Right now, probably responsible for the death of more Black people than anyone in America.
With all the DA's that he's appointed in cities where murder has reached records.
Philadelphia.
A record.
In the 250 years of Philadelphia, since his DA, Krasner, took over, there never were as many murders as under Soros' guy.
In New York, people are getting killed left and right because of Bragg.
Rochester, New York, record.
St. Louis, Missouri, record.
Chicago, every weekend, it's a murder field.
It's either going to be five people dead or 20, and either 20 people shot or 80, and 70% of them are black.
And the DA doesn't prosecute.
Just yesterday there was an article detailing all of the recidivists in New York City.
The way they did it was all the people that were arrested in 2023 three times for the same crime.
It's pretty hard to be arrested three times for the same crime.
It means you're not putting anybody in jail.
It means that you have career criminals walking the streets.
The way I describe it is there are probably 5,000 to 7,000 people walking the streets of New York City that would be in jail if I were the mayor or Bloomberg.
So this is what they do to you.
Somehow you got to wake up.
You got to wake up.
There must be a medicine that does away with brainwashing.
I don't know what it is.
I think it's called Donald Trump.
There's got to be a medicine that doesn't work.
You're brainwashed.
I'll give you the example of Chicago.
60 years of Democrat mayors.
That place is a hellhole.
I'm telling you, we were there for the Democratic convention.
I know cities.
That place is...
Per capita, four times more dangerous than New York.
And weekends are numbers like in a war.
And that's replicated in many, many other cities with progressive, which is a horrible description, by the way, progressive.
They're hardly progressive.
They are playing out a Marxist agenda.
And some of them understand intimately, like Obama, who was taught to be a communist.
And some of them don't know it's happening, and they're being brainwashed.
And some of them are on drugs so much they don't know what they're doing.
And this is what happens when you deteriorate the human brain by taking substances that have a direct effect on your brain cells.
You end up with places like Washington and Oregon and California.
So, hopefully this will be a wake-up call.
And they'll get rid of the guy who told people they couldn't go to dinner because of COVID and then...
We'd go to the fanciest restaurants in town.
The French laundry.
That sounds fancy.
What a dilettante.
You know, how about having a big parade for Xi Jinping?
All those Chinese flags.
Poor Chinese people cheering for the guy who killed more Chinese people than anybody alive.
I mean, does anybody...
No.
Gavin...
What did Trump call him?
Newscom.
Newscom.
Gavin Newscom.
Had a parade.
I went crazy during the parade.
I went crazy because I'm watching the parade.
These Chinese people are cheering, cheering, cheering.
And the guy going down the street killed more Chinese people than anybody alive.
There's nobody alive right now that's killed more Chinese people than Xi Jinping.
The only people who have killed more Chinese people are his communist red Chinese predecessors.
How about altogether 100 million?
Chinese.
They specialize in killing their own people.
It was absolutely hilarious in a very sick kind of way when the little rat, you know who that is, right?
Fauci.
The little rat Fauci said that, oh, the Chinese would never kill their own people.
Are you kidding me?
They specialize, the Red Chinese specialize in killing their own people.
If you walked into Xi Jinping and said 5,000 poor Chinese people just got killed, they'd say, oh, thank God.
Well, he doesn't say thank God.
Thank Karl Marx.
Thank the great communist guardian.
Thank Mao Zedong, who killed more than he did.
But I mean, it's ridiculous.
In an American city, San Francisco, We have a hero's welcome for a mass murderer.
A guy participating, acknowledged, participated in genocide right now.
He's participating in genocide and we have a, the Democrat Party of San Francisco has a major celebratory parade for a mass murderer.
Oh!
And you vote for them.
Crazy.
And you know, they're going to torture me tomorrow, but it's a different kind of torture.
I mean, it's nothing compared to putting those J6 people in jail and having them with rats and taking a 72-year-old woman and putting her in jail because she was protesting abortion.
Maybe the woman sincerely believes that it's murder.
She has a right to believe that.
You have a right to believe what you believe, but she has a right to believe that.
It also happens to be true.
In fact, over the history of the world, more people have believed that than the other.
So she's got the weight of history on her side.
In many of these situations, we've got the weight of history on our side.
And we've got a Supreme Court justice now who doesn't know how to define woman.
For thousands of years, we all knew how to define man and woman.
So the ones who are giving us radical, idiotic ideas are the progressives.
We don't know what a man and a...
We can't define man and woman.
You can keep changing.
So I was born as a male.
If I think I'm a female, I have a mental illness.
What I just told you comes right out of the DSM-5.
I'm Ralph Giuliani, not George Washington.
If I think I'm George Washington, I'm suffering from massive psychotic schizophrenia.
I've known people who used to come in my office when I was an assistant nurse attorney when we had complaint duty.
Who thought they were George Washington.
Well, they got the threes.
They got a field goal.
I mean, it's sad.
They were sending them to Bellevue.
So if somebody starts telling you that they're biologically male, but they think they're female, time to get help.
Not give them hormones and mutilate them as soon as you can, because you can make 400 grand that way.
And that's what they're doing.
That's what these people are doing to you.
This is very, very serious, and we're on the verge of turning it around.
But Trump can't do it all by himself.
There's got to be public knowledge and education.
If the public is uninformed, a democracy is just a fiction.
Now, that's Hamilton and Jefferson.
They didn't agree on a lot, but they agreed on that.
You can become a democratic dictatorship if you have an uninformed electorate, uninformed constituency.
Democracy is one of the most dangerous forms of government to become a dictatorship.
Hitler was elected.
Stalin was elected.
So you've got a responsibility here.
To learn what's going on and pierce through it and think for yourself.
Because there are a lot of people thinking for you.
And they're not people with good motives.
Well, what else do we have to cover, my friend, before we go off to court tomorrow and then have our show tomorrow night if I'm still, you know...
It's just hit halftime of the...
And look, I'll preface this with saying sports do sound...
I learned this from so many years of dealing with emergencies and tragedies, and you got to always look at the bright side, and you have to always have a sense of humor.
The guy who had the best sense of humor during 9-11 was my fire commissioner, and he lost 323 of his best friends.
I mean, actually, he lost 20 of his lifetime friends.
And he's still affected by Tom Von Essen.
But boy, does he have a sense of humor.
Wow.
So, look, I wish I kind of want to find it now.
It would take too long.
But Mayor Giuliani famously said, when Saturday Night Live returned after 9-11, Lorne Michaels, the creator and founder of...
Well, the creator of Saturday Night Live has Mayor Giuliani on stage to start the show, and Lorne Michaels asks the mayor, it's a few days after 9-11, Mayor, is it okay to be funny again?
And the mayor responds, Lorne, why start now?
That, to this day, is my favorite SNL moment.
I have to tell you, because despite the calumnies of the Democrats, I'm an honest person, Lorne Michaels gave me that line.
You always remind me of that.
And then it's like, I still love it.
I'll tell you the ones that I came up with.
You've got to be smart to be funny.
You should hear him throughout the day.
You're quick, Mayor.
I'll say something and you'll have something quick.
So now what's the score?
Okay, so here we go.
Unfortunately, people know the Mayor as a Yankees fan, but he also happens to be a big Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
The nuns who taught me if Notre Dame lost, they would beat you up the next day.
Yeah.
And Notre Dame is kind of on a new...
You can say it's like New York's team.
I know a lot of New Yorkers.
So many Irish Catholics.
Is it Irish?
Irish Catholics.
But also Italian, Polish.
Italians.
It's sort of a...
Yeah.
If a Catholic doesn't have another team, it'll be Notre Dame.
What do you think?
Or even if they have another team, it'll be Notre Dame.
I mean, you got to vote for Jesus.
What do you think the score is at the half, Mayor?
What?
I just saw it.
It's 10-3.
Okay.
That's a manageable game.
10-3?
That's a manageable game.
10-3, Penn State with the lead.
Notre Dame kicked a field goal just as we closed out the first half.
So Penn State must have had a touchdown and a field goal.
That's right.
Or potentially a touchdown, a two-point conversion, and a safety.
But you're probably right.
I think I would...
See, there's a 95% chance of the touchdown.
Extra point out of field.
Of course, but I want to display my knowledge of the game, right?
For once in my life, I get to feel like an expert when we're talking football.
So, 10-3 at the half there.
We're hoping for a good second half.
How about...
How about...
Oh, 10. Yeah, very hard to get there.
How about a touchdown, you don't make the extra point, and two safety?
Oh!
The mayor got me.
Now, let's see if we can do this.
So, we're going back and forth.
How many different ways, how many combinations are there to get to 10 in American football?
We just said the basics.
Well, you can't do three field goals because there's no one point in American football.
Maybe one in Irish football.
I gotcha.
Two field goals and two safeties.
Yeah, two field goals, six, and two safeties.
Yeah, four.
The same as a touchdown without an extra point.
And two safeties.
And then two safeties.
I'd love to see the last time there were two safeties in the game.
So we have a big second half to watch.
Big morning.
We'll be on tomorrow night, no doubt.
So you'll want to hear from the mayor on how the day went.
And of course, keeping up with these major stories are live on the ground reporting in Los Angeles following the Trump transition.
First hand on lawfare.
And we may have a very special guest tomorrow night.
We're going to leave it at that.
We're going to tease tomorrow's show.
We may have a very, very special guest.
We'll still be here across the river from the swamp.
We'll be in the great state of Virginia, the free state of Virginia, with Governor Glenn Youngkin.
And that race is coming up in a year.
Instead of one of the major murder capitals of America, our capital?
It's very sad what's happening.
It's become a very dangerous city.
It's ridiculous.
And it's gone downhill in the last five years.
I don't know how the members of Congress stand for it.
Maybe you're a Democrat.
Do you want to get killed?
Yeah, Congress has a...
We wonder a few things about Congress, don't we, Mayor?
Yeah.
Did you ever want to run for Congress?
People tried to talk me into it.
Not Senate, Congress.
No, I didn't really even want to run for the Senate.
I was kind of talked into it.
I remember telling John McCain, I can't possibly understand how you can sit there and do that.
He said, you know, you'll love it.
You come in, you'll be like one of the top 10 people here, 10 smartest.
I said, that's ridiculous.
I'd be just a rookie.
He said, you know, have any idea how dumb they are?
And we say that lovingly in some respects.
We've got some good friends.
We're excited for John McGuire.
What do you say?
I'm just telling you what John McCain said.
And John was a bit of a cynic, so, you know.
Yeah, yeah.
Well, I mean, who can blame him?
They're not smart.
I think they're lazy.
Oh, are they lazy?
I mean, they take more recesses.
Oh my gosh.
They take more recess than school children.
Biden spent more time on vacation than being president because he came from the city.
He did.
Oh yeah, that's a good point.
It's like a teachers union teacher.
Yeah.
They teach two hours a day.
Oh my goodness.
Yeah, that's absolutely right.
And generally they teach you to try to figure out which of the 57 genders you are.
You know in the New York City schools, they actually have litter boxes for kids who think they're cats?
Nuts.
Well, man, we're all praying for Notre Dame in the second half.
We don't have to.
Jesus is praying for Notre Dame.
Jesus is on Notre Dame's side.
Penn State's got a big following.
I must say, our gracious hosts who will remain unnamed.
Happens to be a big Penn State fan.
So we find ourselves in a little bit of an awkward situation this evening.
So we'll watch some of the game.
We'll watch some of the game.
We'll watch some of the game.
No need to prepare for tomorrow.
I know what you're going to do.
You're going to rule against me.
And we'll be back.
The opinion's already written.
That's why I was objecting to coming.
I hate to waste time.
Just tell me you're ruling against me and I'll move on and appeal.
So we don't expect no suspense for tomorrow.
It's a waste of court resources and money.
I've been in front of this judge now any number of times.
She's never ruled for him.
One time.
The last judge I was in front of rendered his decision about two minutes after the argument was over.
Which meant he had prepared it before.
Which meant my testimony was meaningless.
That's just absurd.
Why do we have to come and testify?
I'd rather you be honest and just rule against me and we'll take it up on appeal.
So dishonest to do that.
That's right, Mayor.
So we'll be back tomorrow night.
We have so much more to fill you in on in the coming days in terms of our newsletter and upcoming...
How do you want to say it?
The show is growing.
And so we want to thank everyone that's been with us the last few years.
The fastest hour on the internet.
And we'll be back tomorrow with Mayor Giuliani live from, we're going to say, the free state of Virginia.
We're not going to say D.C. We're in Virginia.
Yeah, not run by communists.
Good.
Well, God bless America!
Yay!
It's our purpose to bring to bear the principle of common sense and rational discussion to the issues of our day.
America was created at a time of great turmoil, tremendous disagreements, anger, hatred.
It was a book written in 1776 that guided much of the discipline of thinking that brought to us the discovery of our freedoms, of our God-given freedoms.
It was Thomas Paine's Common Sense, written in 1776, one of the first American bestsellers, in which Thomas Paine explained by rational principles.
The reason why these small colonies felt the necessity to separate from the Kingdom of Great Britain and the King of England.
He explained their inherent desire for liberty, for freedom, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, the ability to select the people who govern them.
And he explained it in ways that were understandable to all the people, not just the elite.
Because the desire for freedom is universal.
The desire for freedom adheres in the human mind and it is part of the human soul.
This is exactly the time we should consult our history.
Look at what we've done in the past and see if we can't use it to help us now.
We understand that our founders created the greatest country in the history of the world.
The greatest democracy, the freest country.
A country that has taken more people out of poverty than any country ever.
All of us are so fortunate to be Americans.
But a great deal of the reason for America's constant ability to self-improve is because we're able to reason.
