Even LIBERAL Media SLAMS Biden Over Lack Of Transparency | Rudy Giuliani | Ep. 122
| Copy link to current segment

Time Text
Hello, I'm Rudy Giuliani.
Welcome to Rudy's Common Sense.
Today we're going to look at an issue and a problem that seems to be annoying the press, the media, even the mainstream media.
They're annoyed, and they're annoyed at Joe Biden!
Wow!
I don't know if they're going to be able to handle it.
They're annoyed at Joe Biden.
Do you know what they're annoyed about?
Well, they should be annoyed.
He's been in office now for seven weeks, over 60 days, 63, 64 days, something like that.
He hasn't had a press conference.
At this point, Trump had had five.
This is a record, but not a good record, for a man who said he was going to be transparent.
Apparently they're handling access and transparency the way they did when he was hiding in the basement for like four months.
Except, you know, he's not in the basement anymore.
He's the leader of the free world.
And there are an awful lot of questions that he has to answer.
What's he gonna do about Iran?
And what's he gonna do about China?
And what's he gonna do about North Korea?
And what's he gonna do about HR1 that wants to destroy our election system?
And I can go on and on.
How's he going to prevent us from basically having inflation through the roof with all the money he's going to print?
I mean, there are plenty of questions.
He hasn't answered any of them.
As I said, he's been in the White House for seven weeks, eight weeks, 62, 63, 64 days.
No press conference.
I don't know how many Obama had up until that point, but he certainly had more than one.
And I said Trump had five.
And he's held off his press conference longer than any modern president.
And whatever you want to say about Trump, he sure as heck was accessible.
How many times do you remember — and I remember when I was representing him, I watched him very, very carefully, because I was always afraid he would say something that, you know, we didn't want him to say, because it would lock us into some path one way or some path another way.
I'll tell you, he never did.
Never did.
This idea that he spoke recklessly, totally wrong.
In terms of a client, he was one of the easiest.
I mean, he really had tremendous instincts.
There was a lot of theater in it, which is why, you know, he draws 100,000 people and Biden draws, you know, eight trucks and three cars that beep.
So whatever you want to say about Trump, he was a model of transparency.
There never was an American president that smoked more often and took more questions from the American people.
Never.
And now we're followed by a Sphinx.
You know what a Sphinx is, right?
They don't answer many questions.
But he is a popularly elected president of a democracy or a republic.
He's required to be responsible to us, which means he has to answer questions.
And it is true he's coming off a very, very difficult standard to follow because Trump was so available and so good at it.
Most presidents would not have been able to handle not only the questions he was asked, but, I mean, it was a totally different atmosphere.
They were trying to, you know, kill him with questions.
They're trying to destroy his presidency.
And he'd stand by that helicopter.
Sometimes, you know, he couldn't hear the question because of the helicopter rotor going on.
I remember Ronald Reagan used to do that, too.
He would say, well, I can't hear that.
I think that might have been a way of not putting aside the ones he didn't want to take.
But he still took enormous numbers of questions.
That's a stark contrast with Biden.
Well, for the first time, the press is really rumbling.
For the first seven weeks, they were shut out.
They're starting to get very, very restless.
And even his fawning fans are getting restless.
You know, with the iron curtain of censorship surrounding discussions of the election, discussions of Biden's criminal problems and There isn't much to cover if the president isn't saying anything and Trump has been pretty much unavailable.
So now they're starting to say, what the heck's going on?
First of all, there's no transparency at the border.
They're not allowed to photograph at the border.
They're not allowed to go to the border.
I'm talking about the press.
They're certainly not allowed to do video at the border.
One of the Democratic congressmen had to go do it himself and put it out, and the administration was extremely, extremely upset about it.
And they have uniformly denied access to the border.
So that the press can go and assess, is this a crisis, as it obviously seems to be, or is it not a crisis as Biden is trying to, or his staff is trying to convince the American people?
This is a real issue.
And this is a big change from the Trump administration.
Trump allowed access to the border, allowed access to those things that were called like prisons and pens when they were under Trump and now are just called residences under Biden.
Of course, they were put there by Obama to start with, which I always thought was kind of really, really ironic that Obama put it there.
This would be a good time to take a short break.
I accomplished a lot in 2020, exposing the truth, establishing the relationship with you, working tirelessly for America.
And I came to know the work and value of the people at American Hartford Gold.
You see, you buy gold, not only for what you know, but you buy gold for what you don't know.
American Hartford Gold is the company you can trust when it comes to buying gold.
They sell physical gold and silver delivered right to your door or inside of your IRA.
In the precious metals industry, they are the highest rated firm in our country with an A-plus from the Better Business Bureau and thousands of satisfied clients.
Give them a call and tell them Rudy sent you.
And be sure to ask them what I bought.
And if you call them right now, they will give you up to $1,500 of free silver on your first order.
Folks, these are uncertain times.
The one thing you can count on to protect what you have worked so hard for is physical gold and silver.
So, don't wait.
Call them now.
Call 833-GOLD-777.
That's 833-GOLD-777.
Or text Rudy to 65532.
Again, that's 833-GOLD-777.
Or text Rudy to 65532.
Thank you for returning.
777 or text Rudy to 65532. Again, that's 833-GOLD-777 or text Rudy to 65532. Thank you for returning.
So they are blocking out uniformly one of the biggest stories that, you know, could
and should be covered.
And it has to be, because things are really bad and they don't want anybody to see it.
If things weren't bad, you know they would let you, the press, go there.
But you can't visit, you can't take pictures.
This is depriving the American public of information that belongs to them.
Remember, this is a government of the people.
Not of the, you know, Democrat big shots and the rich corporations and the press.
It's a government of the people.
The press exists to get that information for us.
So they are beginning now to complain that he's not allowing access to the border.
In a statement Thursday, Radio Television Digital News Foundation Executive Director So he'd be a part of the establishment press.
Dan Shelley blasted the Biden administration for failing on its promise of transparency.
The president promised things would be different.
Turns out he was right.
But in this case, not the way we had hoped.
The Trump administration hired journalists into juvenile migrant detention facilities.
Repeat that.
The Trump administration allowed journalists into juvenile migrant detention facilities.
I don't know Dan Shelley, but he sure as heck must have been shocked.
And I have to commend him for this is one of the few negative comments I've seen about Biden.
And it's a powerful one.
The press got more access under Trump.
Wow, did they get fooled.
This is a real problem for our society.
I mean, this isn't something we can just brush under the rug.
The border is a crisis that American people need to know about.
People are coming in in huge, unbelievably large numbers.
So in the month of February, the number they put out is 100,000 that were tracked.
And every expert on the border says there's about a 20 to 30% factor of people that you don't get to see.
So we have to assume it's, you know, plus 100,000.
The ones that we didn't get to see, no examination for COVID, no examination for weapons, no examination for drugs, no examination for mental illness, no examination for being participants in sex trafficking or exploitation of children.
Becoming a very big business.
The cartels are now making more money from trafficking children than they are from fentanyl.
That's a big switch.
Because now they have much more access to children with these large hordes coming in.
Family comes in with three kids.
Family doesn't have any money.
Cartel says it's going to cost you $10,000 to go over the border.
We don't have $10,000.
Okay, two of those kids are going to work for us.
You can pay it off in a year.
Like indentured servitude.
This is what we are allowing to happen on our border.
When Biden said, without thinking about it, oh, you know, we're going to, we're going to, we're going to take care of everybody.
We're going to release them.
We're not going to hold them in prisons any longer.
We're going to give citizenship to the ones that are here.
So the ones that are there figure we can get citizenship too.
Oh, and by the way, we're going to pay for your healthcare.
Pretty good deal.
So, so these people come, Come across the border, just as predicted.
And of course, the cartels who control the border slip in what they want to slip in, because they've become the gatekeepers at the border.
This is critical, and we need to know about it.
Biden invited them in, and we have to see how this is going to play out.
You can't cover this up by not allowing the press to go to the border.
They need to see this in order to assess for us, if you're telling the truth, that this is not critical, because everything points to the fact that you're not telling the truth.
So that's one area in which, in a very big area, the Biden administration is much less accessible to the press, much less open to the press, much more defensive, And is taking away a whole area of inquiry that the press had available to them when Trump was the president.
Also, the White House is fighting a very, very big battle with the press because they won't release White House virtual visitor logs.
So you say, oh, well, virtual visitor logs.
You know how many of the meetings are virtual?
Fast majority.
So this is a way of basically making sure nobody knows what's going on in the White House.
And I know the games they used to play in the Obama administration, because they were trying to avoid there being records of Biden's son coming in and lobbying on behalf of Burisma.
So these records can be, you know, very, very important and very damaging.
But these conversations can just go on and The fact is virtual meetings have replaced physical meetings and there should be the same rules for the virtual meetings that there are for the real meetings.
Otherwise, you might as well throw away all those Foreign Agent Registration Act laws, all those lobbying laws, and all the protections we have against bribery, if they are protections against bribery.
Let's take a short break.
My friends, if you want to help preserve America right now, while you still can, join AMAC,
the Association of Mature American Citizens, the fastest growing conservative group in
America, especially for those age 50 and up.
Joining AMAC gives you access to money-saving benefits, cutting-edge news, and a great bi-monthly
More importantly, AMAC fights for you.
A socialist storm is brewing.
Our constitutional republic has rarely faced the perils we do today.
Edmund Burke said it best.
All it takes for evil to prevail is for good people to do nothing.
If you care about our future like I do, then join AMAC today.
Over 2 million conservatives like you and me have already joined AMAC.
Stand with us by joining right now.
Just go to amac.us forward slash Rudy.
That's amac.us forward slash Rudy.
The benefits of AMAC membership are great.
Thank you for coming back.
So, with zero access to the border, with no access to the juvenile facilities, and with no access to who actually comes and visits the president, what are they covering?
They're covering They're covering the press secretary who goes out every day for one hour and she says, I'll circle back.
I can't remember giving an answer.
I'll circle back if there's more I can share with you.
I'll circle back with you if there's more to convey.
I'll have to just circle back with you.
We can circle back.
I'm happy to circle back with you.
I can circle back.
I will have to circle back on that one.
That's an excellent question.
Oh, such an important question.
We will circle back with you.
Is it a crisis at the border?
I'll circle back.
Is he going to really respond to China's attack on the United States and all the things they said about human rights?
We'll check on that and circle back.
It's an hour of circling back, and it seems like she then loses direction and can't find a way back to the press room.
Even the Washington Post has very carefully written a critical editorial Now, they explain how there was nobody ever worse than Trump in the whole history of the world.
But this is a big problem, but he's got a chance to fix it, which is basically shutting out the press, no transparency, no accessibility, no regard for the First Amendment.
But the Washington Post says, Muted critical language that he better change it.
He better change it right away.
The big question is, when is he going to have a press conference?
When is Biden going to have a press conference?
So the estimate was that by the end of the month.
Well, we're getting close to the end of the month.
And I haven't heard of a press conference being organized.
And then we have to worry if he has a press conference, is it going to be President Biden?
How do you feel today?
That would be the question on health.
How do you feel today, President Biden?
The question on China will be, Chinese are really people we can do business with, aren't they, Mr. President?
After all, you know, you did a lot of business with them.
You see the questions they ask him, right?
They're not critical questions.
So, yes, we have to have a press conference.
Yes, the press conference has to be probing.
It can't be just one question that's a softball, and then we move on.
We need to know.
We need to know about his mental capacity.
We need to know about how he's going to fix the problem he created at the border.
We need to know what he intends to do to counter China's attempt to supplant us as the leading nation in the world.
That's pretty darn important.
We need to know what he's going to do about Iran.
Is he going to give Iran, you know, billions of dollars like Obama did and enter into that very, very dangerous nuclear agreement?
That would really be a sellout of our allies, Israel, and then the Arab nations that have joined in peace with Israel.
That was quite an accomplishment by the Trump administration.
We need to know what he's going to do about the economy.
Big time.
I mean, that bill, after all the other money that was spent, I mean, has us, you know, printing money for months.
You print money, the value of money goes down.
Is he factoring that in?
We'll be back very shortly.
You never thought COVID could cost you your home, right?
Just right, because cybercrime is up 75%, and by far the most serious cybercrime to worry about is home title theft.
That's right.
Cybercriminals, foreign and domestic, are now after our homes, and it's easier than you think.
The title documents to our homes are online now.
The thief finds your home's title and forges your signature on a quitclaim deed, stating you sold your home to him.
Then he takes out loans on your home, and he leaves you in debt.
You won't know until late payment or eviction notices arrive.
Insurance doesn't cover you, and neither do common identity theft programs.
That's why I protect my home with Home Title Lock.
The instant home title lock detects someone tampering with my home's title, they help shut it down.
Go to hometitlelock.com and register your address to see if you're already a victim.
Then use code Rudy to receive 30 free days of protection.
That's code Rudy at hometitlelock.com, hometitlelock.com.
Let's get right back into our interesting subject.
Oh, I mean, these are things that, These are things that the press would never let a president
escape, but it's going to need more than just Dan Shelley, who very bravely made this point.
The editorial in the Washington Post, if I were inside the Biden administration, I'd pay
attention to that.
After all the protection they've given him, even though they couched it and how bad Trump was, they're basically saying he's got to start answering questions.
Just a couple of days ago, the Getty Images special correspondent John Moore put out a tweet, I think it was on Friday of last week, and he asked the U.S.
Customs and Border Protection to stop blocking media access to their border operations.
I have photographed there under Bush, Obama, and Trump.
But now zero access is granted to media," Moore said.
The reason I read these is, you know, I could be saying this and that would be, that would
mean nothing to them.
But finally, finally, finally, we're seeing some people in the press, people that would generally be on his side, people that are part of the elite establishment press, we see them getting very upset about his interfering in a fundamental process that makes us a democracy.
If we have a president Who will not tell us what he's doing or why he's doing it.
We do not live in a democracy.
You know what we live in?
We live in a totalitarian state.
In a democracy, we have a right to know.
We now have a press that doesn't believe that it serves that right.
It believes it serves the right of making sure that Trump Never re-emerges, that anyone who supports Trump should be destroyed, and that Biden and the Democrats are preserved at all costs so that no Republicans, particularly Republicans who might think that Trump was a good president, you know, get to be part of politics or maybe even by canceling them get to be part of society.
That's the press's role now.
It's real role under our constitution and under our way of life is to be a watchdog for the public interest.
They are the ones who have to press these questions because we need answers to them.
So we're going to watch and see and push because I think if he keeps this up, there might be a chance that things will turn.
It's not at the point where we can say, It's turning yet.
But this is the first indication we've gotten in seven weeks that they're capable of really criticizing it.
These were strong statements.
And this is a very, very important issue.
And this may be the thing that turns things a bit.
And we get to examine just how much damage this administration has done.
I mean, I couldn't possibly cover it in one podcast.
I couldn't possibly cover it at the end of the show.
But this has been one of the seven worst weeks probably in the history of this country in terms of direction, because we're headed straight for a socialist economy, and we're headed straight for a socialist-style government with a central government, the national government, taking over everything.
They want to take over elections.
They want to take over the distribution of money.
They want to raise taxes dramatically.
Precisely opposite of the kind of government our framers envisioned for us and created for us.
A government of separation of powers, balanced powers.
The federal government's not too powerful.
The states are not too powerful.
No one branch of the government is all powerful.
We balance all that.
Pelosi has thrown that all out.
So press scrutiny of that, press education of our people about that, is now critical to the preservation of our democracy.
If you don't have a free, fair, and aggressive press, you honestly don't have a democracy.
So we'll keep watching it, you'll keep watching it, and you communicate with me on rudyscommonsense.com.
You tell me your views about this and what you notice.
about how they're doing it.
Sometimes we pick up some very, very good, solid information that we can use with those communications.
So let's continue to do that.
