Time Text
All right, Scott, you're on the spot.
Go ahead.
Okay, all right, yeah.
And I've studied mosquitoes for about 30 years.
Are you an entomologist?
In Genesis chapter 3, starting in verse 17, the Lord is describing the changes that will come over the earth because of Adam and Eve choosing to let evil in.
And one of the things it says is that thorns will grow up.
You know, and so basically, you know, there are biological changes that have happened.
And so probably the mosquito did not originally suck blood.
And in fact, we know of 40 different species of mosquitoes that don't have to suck blood in order to lay eggs.
Right.
So how does that answer why is there a mosquito?
My guess is that the mosquito originally did not actually suck blood.
So it didn't originally live on blood or...
Right, but did after the expulsion from Eden did?
Right, right, yeah.
Alright, so that's a theological belief answer, and I respect it, but it really just moves the question up one more.
So, you see, if everything is a result, and everything might be a result to a believer, of the...
Original sin, if you will.
But then there's no questions to be explained.
If everything has that one explanation, then there are no questions.
And maybe for some there aren't.
I'm a believer, but I have questions.
Okay, I thank you for your call.
Let's go to Long Beach, California, and Oscar.
