Dennis Prager Show - Open Lines: Why did God invent the Mosquito Aired: 2020-01-04 Duration: 01:54 === Mosquitoes and Blood Sucking (01:53) === [00:00:00] All right, Scott, you're on the spot. [00:00:02] Go ahead. [00:00:03] Okay, all right, yeah. [00:00:04] And I've studied mosquitoes for about 30 years. [00:00:08] Are you an entomologist? [00:00:10] In Genesis chapter 3, starting in verse 17, the Lord is describing the changes that will come over the earth because of Adam and Eve choosing to let evil in. [00:00:24] And one of the things it says is that thorns will grow up. [00:00:29] You know, and so basically, you know, there are biological changes that have happened. [00:00:36] And so probably the mosquito did not originally suck blood. [00:00:41] And in fact, we know of 40 different species of mosquitoes that don't have to suck blood in order to lay eggs. [00:01:19] So, you see, if everything is a result, and everything might be a result to a believer, of the... [00:01:28] Original sin, if you will. [00:01:31] But then there's no questions to be explained. [00:01:38] If everything has that one explanation, then there are no questions. [00:01:42] And maybe for some there aren't. [00:01:45] I'm a believer, but I have questions. [00:01:47] Okay, I thank you for your call. [00:01:50] Let's go to Long Beach, California, and Oscar.
