DAILY TRUTH - Capital Punishment Can Never Restore The Person Who Was Murdered

Host addresses listener financial struggles amid the Biden administration's economic impact, urging support through reviews to combat shadow banning. He argues capital punishment is necessary because murder cannot be restored like theft, citing Gary North on life forfeiture. Since earthly justice cannot fix heinous evil or restore victims, perpetrators must face eternal judgment before God's throne, asserting that only divine courts can address such irreparable loss. Restitution Cannot Be Made Whole 00:03:08
All right, listen, guys, I get it.
Many of you are unable to financially support this ministry because you're spending your cash and your lives on raising young children in the fear and admonition of the Lord.
Praise God for you and that endeavor.
However, algorithms are a thing.
Shadow banning, sadly, is a thing.
And one major way that you can help to expand the reach and effectiveness of this ministry that doesn't cost you a dime is by spending just a few moments leaving us a five star review.
Also, perhaps even more effective than that, you can share our podcast with a friend.
We hope you'll take the time to do so.
Thank you so much.
God bless.
Jesus said, Man cannot live on bread alone, but from every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
You're listening to Daily Truth.
When it comes to capital punishment, it's not even so much that we're saying that this is just, because the goal of certain civil codes and penalties for crimes. Is always restitution.
That's the goal.
Right?
So if someone steals, according to God's law, the punishment for theft is not that you chop off one of their hands, as pagan cultures and pagan countries do, still to this day.
That's actually a perversion of justice.
Because what you've actually done is you've just taken from that individual their ability to work and make the person they've stolen from whole, to actually provide restitution.
Now, in biblical law, The way to offer restitution for, for instance, the crime of theft is to pay back double what you stole.
Because the person not only needs to receive back what was taken, but there's also the sense of that wealth, that capital, whatever it was, whether it was sheep or oxen or whether it was cash, gold, that could have been invested, that could have been working for them, they could have been doing something with that.
So, double restitution is the just penalty according to the law of God for theft.
But when it comes to murder, taking someone's life, what Gary North said was that it's not as though that person now, their life has been forfeited.
You take a life, you forfeit your own.
That is true, but that doesn't make the person whole because that person can't be made whole.
Murder is such an injustice, such a grave wickedness, that it actually cannot be made whole in this life.
The grieving family cannot receive any degree of restitution that would ever make it right.
And so, because it cannot be made whole in this life, restitution cannot be truly made.
What we must do is immediately, therefore, transfer the perpetrator to a higher court.
That's capital punishment.
Punishment That Continues Forever 00:02:04
We can't make this right on earth.
What they've done is too heinous, too evil.
So, we have to send them along to a higher court.
We have to send them before the throne of God.
They have forfeited their life, and that doesn't make it right.
Their punishment will continue forever.
Forever.
Apart from repentance and faith in Jesus.
Can I be frank with you for just a second, right here at the end?
Look, some of you guys, you're financially supporting this ministry, and from the bottom of my heart, I say thank you.
I cannot thank you enough.
However, some of you, you just can't afford it.
In fact, some of you, you shouldn't afford it.
Let's be honest.
I mean, we're living in Joe Biden's ridiculous economy.
Our nation and our totalitarian political elites lost their minds over the last three years due to COVID.
We have written checks that we simply cannot cash.
It doesn't matter if people change the definition of a recession.
We are living in a recession right now, regardless.
Some of you are struggling to afford a carton of eggs at the grocery store.
You cannot support financially this ministry at this time, nor should you, but you could still help us tremendously.
I am asking you, please, if you're willing to do so, take one minute of your time.
Leave us a five-star review on your favorite podcast platform, iTunes, Spotify, whatever that might be.
This is the way the system works.
We want to be innocent as doves, but shrewd as vipers.
We need to be strategic.
You leave us a five-star review, and our podcast shows up for more people.
And the Word of God and courageous theology applied in practical ways to every realm of life gets out there.
Help us get it out there.
Thanks for tuning in.
