DAILY TRUTH - Jesus Calms The Storms

Daily Truth host reads Mark 4:36-41, recounting Jesus calming a storm and questioning fearful disciples who witnessed divine power over nature. He contrasts this biblical holiness with Sigmund Freud's inability to account for such a God, arguing that while fear of judgment drives many away, faith in Christ offers eternal life per John 5:24. Ultimately, the episode asserts that true security lies not in hiding from God's terrible judgments but in trusting His saving grace through Jesus. [Automatically generated summary]

Leave A Five Star Review 00:02:56
Hey guys, real quick before we get started, I have a small request.
If you've been blessed by our content and you like this show, would you take just a brief moment and leave us a five star review?
This is quite possibly the most effective thing that you can do to ensure that this content gets out to as many people as possible.
Thanks.
Jesus said, Man cannot live on bread alone, but from every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
You're listening to Daily Truth.
Mark chapter 4, verse 36 through 41 says this.
And leaving the crowd, they took him, being Jesus, with them being his disciples, in the boat, just as he was.
And other boats were with him, and a great windstorm arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling with water.
But he, being Jesus, was in the stern, asleep on the cushion.
And they woke him and said to him, Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?
And he awoke and he rebuked the wind and the sea and said, Peace, be still.
And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
The storm was over.
And he said to them, the disciples, Why are you so afraid?
Have you still no faith?
And notice this this is key to everything.
Verse 41 And they were filled with great fear and said to one another, Who then is this that even the wind and the sea obey him?
Notice this.
The disciples were afraid of the storm.
Jesus calms the storm.
The storm is now gone, no longer a threat.
And the disciples go from afraid of a storm to exceedingly afraid.
Of Jesus, Sigmund Freud cannot account for the Christian God because the Christian God instills in us more fear, not less, because He is a holy, holy, holy God, terrible in His judgments, and by no means will He pardon the wicked.
But that being said, take comfort and hope.
Many people are rightfully afraid to acknowledge the existence of the God of the Bible because they rightfully recognize that He is holy.
And that they are but wretched sinners.
And like Adam and Eve, after they sinned, many people attempt to hide from God in fear.
However, in my final conclusion, listen to the words of our Lord Jesus Christ Himself in the Gospel of John, chapter 5, verse 24.
He who has ears to hear my word and believes Him who sent me has eternal life, and He does not come into judgment.
But has passed out of death into life.
We must fear God, but we do not have to fear his judgment if we have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
