This is a fun story I've been wanting to talk about for a while, too.
Calling this segment, This Terminator Kills Fascists.
Reading here from CNN. Former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on Wednesday spoke out against anti-Semitism and hate, pointing to his family history in the hope it would stand as an example for others.
Quote, My father was, and so many other millions of men were, suckered into a hate system through lies and deceit.
And so we have seen where that leads, Schwarzenegger told CNN's Dana Bash in an exclusive interview after earlier telling her at a forum at the University of Southern California that he had been, quote, born with a father that was a Nazi.
And I'm so sick of the liberals just like throwing this word out to describe anybody and everybody they disagree with.
You know what I mean?
Like, even a fucking former California governor is just this flippant with his words.
Oh, no, wait.
I'm reading that his father was a literal Nazi.
How did I not know that Arnold Schwarzenegger's father was a Nazi?
I don't think that appears in, like, Kindergarten Cop or Commando or Total Recall.
Like, I think the only way that people know is, like, if they read his book or if they watched a documentary about him.
I've only watched Pumping Iron, so I haven't watched anything else.
It doesn't come up in Pumping Iron?
It doesn't come up in, yeah.
He doesn't talk about it.
Well, because honestly, the Nazi weightlifting program was pretty fucking lame, so he doesn't care about that.
Yeah, it's funny because he speaks out occasionally against the far right and against Nazism and people will be like, They'll like quote tweet it and they'll be like, yeah, guess whose father was a Nazi?
Yeah.
And it's like, yeah, that's how he knows.
That's why he knows it's bad.
What he's saying, yeah.
It's so funny.
Yeah, we can't believe the words you said.
Your dad was a Nazi.
Oh, you have actual personal experience with this and why it's not okay?
How do we trust your word that Nazis are pathetic worms doomed for a painful death if your dad was a Nazi?
Doesn't that seem like a conflict of interest?
Thank God for myself and for my daughter that you should not be held accountable for the sins of your father.
I've seen it firsthand how broken this man's dash this man were.
He continued.
The kinds of atrocities that happened.
How many millions of people had to die and then they ended up losers, dot, dot, dot.
In the Confederacy, losers, as they all have.
This just doesn't work.
I mean, let's just go and get along.
And love is more powerful than hate.
See, I wish his politics were better.
If he were like, I don't know, if he were like a social democrat or whatever, I'd be like, yeah, sure, get up there.
Yeah, absolutely.
I know Woke has gotten to you, but I do want to remind you that you can do an Arnold impression.
It's okay.
It's fine.
I'm not good at impressions, and I just get embarrassed halfway through doing them, and then the whole thing becomes so pathetic.
I just wish I never would have started.
It sucks because I'm not good at reading, so I can't help out with this.
I'm good at impressions, but I'm not good at reading, so it's unfortunate.
I wish we could just trade skills for one second.
Yeah, or just like merge our bodies and become one forever.
Hey, we're still working on that.
We're going to figure that one out.
I love him being like, yeah, the Nazis, they're losers.
The Confederates, you guys are losers.
Yeah.
We all just need to love each other.
I love that so much.
Hey, loser.
Hey, stop it.
Hey.
Hey, I like you.
Don't be such a loser.
You don't got to be such a loser.
It's okay.
We can just get along.
That rocks.
The actor who was born in Austria in 1947. Oh, he's born in Austria.
I guess he can't be president.
Damn it.
I know.
We're working on it, though.
Hopefully Trump can help us out with that.
Well, we'll let Elon be president as long as Arnie gets shot next.
Okay.
The actor who was born in Austria in 1947 and moved to the U.S. in 1968 has been outspoken about its father, Gustav Schwarzenegger.
I mean, that last name really kind of makes you think.
Yeah, it's always felt that way, but I just never thought, you know?
His father's involvement with the Nazi party during World War II. In a video message released in March, he referenced his father as he called out hate speech and urged those, quote, on the easy path of hate to choose a life of strength and fight the war against yourself.
Dang.
Schwarzenegger's comments come amid increased levels of antisemitism and a rise in hate crimes across the U.S. Okay, here we go.
A report released by the Anti-Defamation League last month found that the antisemitic incidents in the U.S. at their highest level since the organization began recording them in 1979. Okay, the unfortunate thing about this whole statement, this whole conversation with Arnold Schwarzenegger, is it's actually mostly about Israel.
Yeah.
It's mostly about Zionism and Israel.
Yeah.
And so he's talking, he's taking a stand against Nazism, like, on behalf of the Jewish community, and I'm pretty sure, like, on behalf of the Zionist Jewish community.
And there's totally an overlap between Nazis and anti-Zionists, like, that does happen.
But when we reference these...
The anti-Semitism, the anti-defamation league finding that the anti-Semitic incidents are at all at all time high.
It's because of the way they're classifying anti-Semitism now.
They're calling any pro-Palestine protest an anti-Semitic incident.
They're calling any time somebody sees like a flag, a Palestinian flag, a hate crime.
Yeah, not even critiques of Israel Zionism, but just...
Any type of support for Palestine is seen that way.
