Time Text
Right when Hen says, we're standing on a bomb, it cuts to our favorite pig, Officer Grant, who is now... And it's funny, the show does this thing too.
Oh, she now just found the cop.
I mean, the other firefighter who's pinned under the car.
No, no, no, no, no.
No, she found the looters.
Oh, the looters.
She found looters.
And this is the thing.
They do this thing where they show her to be... They kind of show what a piece of shit she is.
Yeah, totally.
But they don't do it explicitly.
They kind of give her some understanding.
So, these two guys are walking out of a house, one of them's holding a box for a surround sound, and you hear him say, like, oh, I got what I could, there's a couple silvers back there I could've grabbed, but I couldn't grab those silvers, I gotta go back.
And of course, they come around the corner of the van they're gonna load the box into, and she's like, freeze, suckas!
And she's like, you're looters!
And they're like, no, actually, man, we're not looters.
Check this out.
They open the box and they're saving kittens.
This is where the scene should have ended.
Yeah.
But she proceeds to be like, well, you're still breaking into houses.
This is still a film.
Sorry, this is still a felony.
It's so bad, I know.
You guys should have some sort of ID on you.
Yeah.
And the guy, the guy like, they do all these things you don't do when you're cops.
You're like holding a gunpoint.
The guy like unzips his shirt and he's wearing a shirt that's like, we save animals is what the shirt says.
She's like, look, check it out.
Look, we save animals.
And they're clearly good dudes who are saving animals.
And she still presses them, which is like so, so fucked up.
She still shakes them down.
And she's like, maybe leave the next one for the ASPCU or some shit.
Um, yeah.
So.
That scene happens, but it only makes her look bad.
Totally.
I don't know why they kept that in.
It makes her look bad.
She looks like such an asshole.
But I love that it makes it, like, honest about how sometimes people think that, like, a thing that's a thing is not a thing.
You know what I mean?
Like, she shouldn't have been doing that job in the first place.
Well, but that's, okay.
So can I say that that's a weird thing about her?
Because one of the things about her throughout the series is, like, she's a sergeant.
And somehow, I don't know how that, like, translates to she doesn't have a partner and she gets to drive around alone all the time.
Oh at one point she like she talks about she's like she's like oh no I made captain sergeant leader yeah I became a sergeant so I don't have to have a partner yeah I don't like having partners exactly so that's a whole nother that's a whole other thing so she's like this person in the LAPD who gets to drive around on the car on her own and she's like a boss but nobody's her boss but she fucking decides what to pay attention to so then the fact that
You, the important sergeant who doesn't have to deal with things, you mistook some kitten-saving people for being thieves.
I see how that makes her look bad, but then it's so confusing to the whole arc of what the show is trying to do.
Exactly, which is make her look good.
Yes, exactly.
So that's what I don't get.
I feel like it's like a good nod to ACAB people of like being like, yeah, they fuck up sometimes.
But it's supposed to be.
But unfortunately, the way they do this, this storyline is very much like, listen, fellas, I understand you're doing what you're doing, but don't you understand why I feel this way?
That's totally the whole thing.
You're right.
No.
And there is also there's also the fact of like,
