Minion Death Cult - Last Responders Sink or Swim & Searchers (preview) Aired: 2021-08-02 Duration: 03:33 === Officer Grant Finds Looters (03:32) === [00:00:00] Right when Hen says, we're standing on a bomb, it cuts to our favorite pig, Officer Grant, who is now... And it's funny, the show does this thing too. [00:00:11] Oh, she now just found the cop. [00:00:12] I mean, the other firefighter who's pinned under the car. [00:00:14] No, no, no, no, no. [00:00:15] No, she found the looters. [00:00:16] Oh, the looters. [00:00:17] She found looters. [00:00:18] And this is the thing. [00:00:19] They do this thing where they show her to be... They kind of show what a piece of shit she is. [00:00:22] Yeah, totally. [00:00:23] But they don't do it explicitly. [00:00:25] They kind of give her some understanding. [00:00:28] So, these two guys are walking out of a house, one of them's holding a box for a surround sound, and you hear him say, like, oh, I got what I could, there's a couple silvers back there I could've grabbed, but I couldn't grab those silvers, I gotta go back. [00:00:43] And of course, they come around the corner of the van they're gonna load the box into, and she's like, freeze, suckas! [00:00:51] And she's like, you're looters! [00:00:53] And they're like, no, actually, man, we're not looters. [00:00:57] Check this out. [00:00:59] They open the box and they're saving kittens. [00:01:03] This is where the scene should have ended. [00:01:04] Yeah. [00:01:06] But she proceeds to be like, well, you're still breaking into houses. [00:01:12] This is still a film. [00:01:13] Sorry, this is still a felony. [00:01:14] It's so bad, I know. [00:01:15] You guys should have some sort of ID on you. [00:01:18] Yeah. [00:01:18] And the guy, the guy like, they do all these things you don't do when you're cops. [00:01:22] You're like holding a gunpoint. [00:01:24] The guy like unzips his shirt and he's wearing a shirt that's like, we save animals is what the shirt says. [00:01:29] She's like, look, check it out. [00:01:30] Look, we save animals. [00:01:31] And they're clearly good dudes who are saving animals. [00:01:35] And she still presses them, which is like so, so fucked up. [00:01:41] She still shakes them down. [00:01:42] And she's like, maybe leave the next one for the ASPCU or some shit. [00:01:47] Um, yeah. [00:01:48] So. [00:01:50] That scene happens, but it only makes her look bad. [00:01:52] Totally. [00:01:53] I don't know why they kept that in. [00:01:54] It makes her look bad. [00:01:55] She looks like such an asshole. [00:01:56] But I love that it makes it, like, honest about how sometimes people think that, like, a thing that's a thing is not a thing. [00:02:02] You know what I mean? [00:02:03] Like, she shouldn't have been doing that job in the first place. [00:02:06] Well, but that's, okay. [00:02:07] So can I say that that's a weird thing about her? [00:02:09] Because one of the things about her throughout the series is, like, she's a sergeant. [00:02:13] And somehow, I don't know how that, like, translates to she doesn't have a partner and she gets to drive around alone all the time. [00:02:22] Oh at one point she like she talks about she's like she's like oh no I made captain sergeant leader yeah I became a sergeant so I don't have to have a partner yeah I don't like having partners exactly so that's a whole nother that's a whole other thing so she's like this person in the LAPD who gets to drive around on the car on her own and she's like a boss but nobody's her boss but she fucking decides what to pay attention to so then the fact that [00:02:47] You, the important sergeant who doesn't have to deal with things, you mistook some kitten-saving people for being thieves. [00:02:58] I see how that makes her look bad, but then it's so confusing to the whole arc of what the show is trying to do. [00:03:06] Exactly, which is make her look good. [00:03:08] Yes, exactly. [00:03:09] So that's what I don't get. [00:03:10] I feel like it's like a good nod to ACAB people of like being like, yeah, they fuck up sometimes. [00:03:16] But it's supposed to be. [00:03:18] But unfortunately, the way they do this, this storyline is very much like, listen, fellas, I understand you're doing what you're doing, but don't you understand why I feel this way? [00:03:28] That's totally the whole thing. [00:03:29] You're right. [00:03:30] No. [00:03:30] And there is also there's also the fact of like,
