If you think for a moment that this Shannon Sharp thing is just another one of these Hollywood things that don't matter, you're not paying attention.
Hollywood, the media, these are the news.
They're inter...
They're laced.
They're intertwined.
One is the other.
Listen to this story because it's part and parcel of ditty and allegations about Jay-Z and just go down the list.
Because remember, the world of entertainment is filled with examples like this.
So what's the case about it?
Shannon Sharp is of course the NFL Hall of Famer.
Who basically is monosyllabic and cretinous, perhaps maybe years of having his head collided.
I sometimes don't understand a word he's saying, which I think is part of his charm, but who am I to suggest this?
Anyway, he now is a media personality, and he finds himself marred and mucked up in a kind of a self-inflicted quagmire, dare I say, of scandal.
Legal battles and what will be public humiliation and how he's handling it is ridiculous.
Hell, he's got even Candace Owens after her.
Candace Owens is after everybody.
So anyway, join the club there, Shay Shay.
So the $50 million civil lawsuit was filed by a Gabriela Zuniga who accuses Mr. Sharp of sexual violence.
The R word.
R-A-P-E.
Getting it past the censors.
Making violent threats and it's spiraled into a spectacle that exposes his absolutely reckless, boorish, churlish behavior, his poor judgment and his mind-blowing, astonishing, breathtaking failure to heed the warnings from those great modern and contemporary luminaries,
Cat, Williams and Monique.
They told him this!
He said he made more money from his Cat appearance than he did maybe from anything else.
And by the way, remember, Cat Williams was terrific.
Give him liquor.
When he appeared with Joe Rogan, they were so stoned out of his mind.
Cat was just speaking complete gibberish.
Give him a couple of drinks.
And Monique, absolutely brilliant.
So what I'm going to provide for you is an overview, an adoration of sorts, which delivers, I think, a scathing critique of sharp stupidity.
Number one, his mishandling of the situation from start to finish.
I mean, textbook.
And the media's, perhaps, rightful assertion that he should have listened to and taken heed to the prescient advice, the Vatic Pythonic, the oracular advice of his club Shay Shay Guest.
Now, the latest developments paint a pretty damning picture of this cretinous Mr. Sharp.
A man whose hubris...
I mean, he was, he had something.
Now, here are the accusations.
The adumbration, if you will.
The gravamen of this.
It's a sordid tale, as usual, of power and control.
Now, the core of the scandal revolves around Gabriela Zuniga.
A woman who, notice how I say Zuniga, adding...
Perhaps some emphasis to the pronunciation, which I don't intend to do.
In any event, a woman who met Mr. Sharp in 2023 at a Los Angeles gym when she was just 19. He was like, what, 70?
Anyway, I don't know, 50. The relationship initially was consensual.
Most of the time, most things are.
But it allegedly turned abusive immediately or shortly thereafter, culminating in accusations of sexual assault in October of 2024 and January of 2025.
Now, her lawsuit filed on April the 20th in Nevada details harrowing, frightening, scathing incidents to which Sharp allegedly forced her into non-consensual sex.
He verbally degraded her, issued chilling threats including, quote, many of these written, actually texted, I will effing kill you.
And he didn't say effing.
And, quote, I'm going to effing choke the out of you.
Brilliant!
Brilliant!
Remember, what I want to do, I would use the stupid defense.
Leaked audio records, released by Zuniga's attorney, Tony Busby, seem to amplify.
And identify these claims with Sharp allegedly referencing racial and physical dynamics in a threatening manner.
You know, quote, big black guy choked small white woman.
Brilliant!
Brilliant!
Now these revelations have shocked the public.
Shocked the public into casting Sharp as a predator who exploited his position, his fame, his opportunity, and his significant physicality to dominate.
A vulnerable young woman.
Mr. Sharp's response has been nothing short of disastrous, as you can imagine.
Rather than adopting what most people would say a measured, remorseful stance.
Oh, no, no, no.
He doubled down.
Labeling the lawsuit a shakedown.
That's right, a shakedown.
Blasting explicit text messages from Zuniga to argue The consensual relationship was, or the relationship was consensual.
That's okay, but why do it in the public?
His legal team, led by Lanny Davis, interesting, Lanny Davis, this was one of the White House favorites, the Clinton favorite, he released sexually graphic texts where Zuniga allegedly requested role-playing scenarios.
Attempting to paint her as the instigator.
One role play was, you play a cretinous monosyllabic oaf.
I'm kidding.
But by the way, if they did do that, he would be exceedingly effective.
Anyway, this particular tactic is not only tone deaf, but it reeks of victim blaming.
That's right.
Because nothing, but nothing, ever warrants or allows Violent sexual predation based upon somebody's initial request to be perhaps playful or whatever the heck the word is.
Now Mr. Sharp is further alienated from a public increasingly sensitive to power imbalances.
Why he has to say anything, I have no idea.
I always say, act as though the person who was accusing you is daft, retarded, Non-compass mentis, to kind of give a bless her heart, like, well...
How many times have you heard this?
And then move on.
Just let the public...
Remember, we have the attention span of a knot.
Now, the media have criticized this, and seized on this, with outlets like TMZ and the Daily Mail, highlighting how Sharp's aggressive defense, demanding the release of a full 10-minute sex tape, To counter a 30-second clip only deepens the perception of his callousness,
stupidity, and by the way, the worst strategy ever.
Again, ignoring Cat Williams and Monique.
Do you understand what's going on here?
This is a master class in arrogance.
Perhaps, and I just think personally, the most infuriating aspect of his downfall is his blatant disregard.
From not just the aforementioned warnings, but not being able to read the terrain like a good defensive or offensive, a football player would be able to read the call, read the play.
He was cautioned about the dangers of romantic choices during their 2024 Club Shea Shea interviews.
I mean, Cat Williams, by the way, who was just absolutely profound with his characteristic candor.
He expressed unease about dating dynamics.
And I'm being, you know, obtuse legitimately or deliberately, but this is involving powerful men and younger women, specifically noting that, and this is important, white women scare him, this is his quote, due to the potential for legal and social repercussions.
See, this is the sense that people are bulletproof after a while.
They figure, I don't have to worry about this.
I'm, I'm, I'm so great.
I'm Shannon Sharp.
I don't worry about anything.
And Sharp, and I guess what could be described as a moment of smug dismissal, brushed it off with a flippant, come on, Cat, come on!
I'm not imitating him, I'm trying to imitate his voice!
And the clip has gone viral, with fans and media outlets pointing out specifically, as I'm saying, that Cat Williams' foresight was chillingly accurate.
I mean, it was almost Nostradamus-esque.
So Shannon Sharp's refusal to engage with his warning reveals a man perhaps may be intoxicated not only by his own hubristic celebrity, so to speak, but blind to the risks of entanglement with significantly younger partners.
And let me tell you something right now.
If you don't think that racial dynamics are playing a part of it, you're not paying attention.
Monique's critique was even more pointed, more direct.
She directly called out Sharpe, directly called him out for dating women many years his junior, urging him, urging him to reconsider the optics, to reconsider the ethics and the obviousness of such relationships.
And her advice, though, rooted in a blend of, you know, kind of an admixture of personal experience and cultural awareness, was met with, as you can imagine, Mr. Sharpe's incredulity and his characteristic deflection.
Social media posts on X and others have basically resurfaced this exchange with users lamenting.
And I paraphrase, I'm not mentioning this one in particular, said, quote, he ain't listened to nothing.
Monique said, now we hear.
Not my words, but you understand the gist of this.
And the media...
Various media have echoed this sentiment, framing Sharpe's predicament as a cautionary tale of ignoring sage counsel.
See, this is something which I'm trying to say again.
His failure to internalize these warnings is not just foolish, not just stupid.
It's a betrayal of the wisdom offered by peers and other people, and I think professionals, who navigated similar pitfalls.
This is a masterclass in what not to do.
Now there's a second accuser in workplace.
And the plot thickens, of course.
As if Zuniga's lawsuit weren't damning enough, a second accuser has emerged, further exposing his pattern of alleged misconduct.
On April the 24th, reports surfaced of a former colleague accusing Mr. Sharp of choking her during his time on Undisputed.
This is...
How do we say this?
You're seeing similar fact evidence.
You're seeing the Weinstein case.
You're seeing other women who say, well, we might not have you on this case, but we're going to bring in other women who will state, this is precisely what you're doing.
This is his M.O. I mean, this is about...
Sices have sorted claiming they show up.
Reached an undisclosed settlement with this unnamed accuser suggesting a history of workplace aggression that predates the current scandal.
I don't know if there's an NDA most probably.
There was a release in a waiver which precludes any reference or non-disparagement.
But I don't know if you are being subpoenaed theoretically as a witness to provide similar fact evidence.
That's a different story.
See, this revelation coupled with a third lawsuit from Michelle Evans who alleges a 20...
10 sexual assault during a decade-long relationship.
See, this points Sharp as a serial offender whose apparent charm and media savvy have long masked a darker side.
And once you look, once it seems like you are really the bad guy we didn't know you were.
Once you're hit with that, it's done.
And now his decision to temporarily step away from ESPN announced yesterday, I believe, via Instagram, is a belated and, frankly, insufficient attempt to damage control.
I don't think he had anything to do with it.
I think they told him, you want to walk off the plank or should we push you?
His claim that he's focusing on family.
Why do people say that?
Don't say that.
I want to spend more time with my family.
Stop it.
His plans to return by the NFL preseason reeks of denial, as if the gravity of multiple accusations and a tarnished reputation can be brushed off with some kind of a briefing, a little hiatus.
Let me tell you something.
Once the stink or the stank is on you, it doesn't come off.
And the various media, including The Washington Post, NBC News, has noted that ESPN's reluctance to outright suspend Sharp, despite the brilliant...
Brilliant exhortations of Stephen A. Smith's comments suggesting removal isn't off the table.
It all reflects the network's kind of prioritizing maybe a profit over accountability.
We'll see with that.
Now, what's the media's verdict?
Simple.
A self-inflicted wound.
You see, the media narrative is unanimous.
Shannon Sharpe's handling of the situation is, as I said before, a master class in self-delusion and self-destruction.
Outlets like Forbes and Daily Mail have drawn parallels to other high-profile scandals, noting that his countersuit threats against Suniga and Busby mirror the desperate tactics of, well,
the alleged desperate tactics scenes in cases involving people like Jay-Z and Diddy, which, by the way, in some particular cases are very, very effective.
There are a lot of posts that come.
One excoriate Mr. Sharpe's weird racial dynamics, self-hate, arguing that his pursuit of younger non-black women reflects deeper insecurities.
Well, that's something I can't get into that one.
But this critique, amplified by the resurfacing of Monique's advice and admonition of warning, all underscore how Sharpe's choices have, in essence, Alienated segments of his fan base,
or what was left of his fan base, particularly those who viewed him as a cultural role model.
That's over.
His podcast, Club Shay Shay, wants a platform for viral, I mean nuclear moments, like Cat Williams' interview, is now a liability.
The media has noted that his $100 million deal, a media deal, His aspirations are crumbling.
You have ex-ESPN employees expressing outrage at the network's tepid response and his insistence on publicizing explicit text and demanding unedited video footage has backfired terribly.
You're in essence turning a legal battle into some salacious circus that further arose what's left of his credibility.
Now, so what do we have here?
We have a legacy in tatters.
Shannon Sharpe's off-the-chain stupidity in ignoring Kat Williams and Monique, coupled with his criminally reckless handling of other accusations,
has transformed him from a beloved sports commentator.
To a pariah.
And once the pile-on starts, that's it.
As of today, the most current news confirms a second accuser's lawsuit and Sharp's temporary ESPN hiatus with no resolution in sight.
And this aggressive, I guess, defense, which is seen by people as rooted and focused on victim blaming and deflection, never works.
It's only deepened.
The public's anger and distrust.
Remember, when the pylon starts, they want blood.
And the media's refrain, you know, that Sharp should have listened to his peers, or just not done this in the first place.
You don't need to listen to Kent Williams to know not to do this.
But it all rings true.
His arrogance, his entitlement, his sense that I'm bigger than you, look at me, I'm always...
And every time you see him standing there shirtless, with muscles, it makes accusations of physical abuse seem even worse.
This is a self-inflicted wound, an owned goal.
This is career suicide.
It may prove fatal to what's left of his career.
You could bet on it.
This man wants, kind of like O.J. in a weird way, wants a beacon, a pillar of charisma and insight.
People loved him.
Sharpe now stands as a cautionary tale, ladies and gentlemen, of what happens when unchecked power.
It's kind of like a deluded sense of self-importance.
I know willful ignorance can all unravel horribly in real time.
Watch this carefully.
This is where we are today, my friends.
What do you think?
Is he being treated fairly?
Or is he about to enter just a lion's den of self-destruction?
What about his lawyer, Lanny Davis?
Is this the way to do it?
I've said it before.
The best way for him to do it is to walk away.
Ignore it.
Let the public's amnesia take over.
What do you think?
