His worldview is skewed by what he wants the world to be.
When it comes to January 6th, in his mind, this is noble, gallant, no big deal, a great moment in citizen activism, whatever you want to call it.
He truly believes this.
He doesn't understand the way things are, what the rules are.
It's like when you pulled over for speeding.

Other people were speeding.

There was a woman I saw in a video.
She's at some place.
The police come and they tell her to leave.

Because she thought, I'm right.
And you know the expression, you can beat the rap, but you can't beat the ride.
So the headline is, people who want to challenge the election, look, they're manhandled by the police.

Ray Epps was targeted.
In fact, let me go one step further.
Let me read you the way it is portrayed.

Of all the distortions and paranoia that Tucker Carlson promoted on his since-canceled Fox News program, one looms large, a conspiracy theory that an Arizona man working as a covert government agent incited the January 6th assault on Capitol to sabotage and discredit former President Donald Trump.
This is the story.
What's known about this man, a two-time Trump voter named Ray Epps, It's that he took part in demonstrations in Washington that day and night before.
He was captured on camera, urging a crowd to march with him and enter the Capitol.
But at other points, he pleads for calm, once it becomes clear the situation is turning violent.
He can be seen moving past a line of Capitol Police at the barricades, but never actually goes inside the Capitol.
Federal prosecutors have not charged...
By the way, this is from something called D-N-Y-U-Z.
I don't know what this is.
Anyway, this captures the feeling.
Federal prosecutors have not yet charged Mr. Epps with the crime, focusing instead on the more than 1,000 of the demonstrators who have acted violently or were trespassing in the Capitol.
The Justice Department's sprawling investigation into the attack remains open.
However, Mr. Epps could still be indicted.
Yet for more than 18 months, Mr. Carlson insisted that the lack of charges against Mr. Epps could mean only one thing, that he was being protected because he was a secret government agent.
There was no rational explanation, Mr. Carlson told his audience, why this mysterious figure who helped stage manage the insurrection had not been...

He repeated Mr. Epps' name over and over in nearly 20 episodes, imprinting it on the minds of his viewers.
Mr. Epps was in the Marine Corps, but said in his deposition before the January 6th Committee that he had otherwise never worked on behalf of any government agency, he and his wife, and now they are being stalked or whatever.
Let me just stop right there.
And you can read this for yourself.
Now, question number one.
Learn what the other side is saying.

They're saying you targeted this man.
You were irresponsible.
And they're going to claim, and I'm not saying this is true, I'm saying this is what they're going to claim, and then Mr. Carlson, using his platform of Fox News, along with his other, whatever it is, decided to, and the other Fox Newsers who destroyed Dominion, and we don't know where that one's going.
Because the ones who made the loudest noise are Levin and Judge Jeanine and all these people, Bartiromo and all these, look, I believe in free speech.

If you don't like Fox News, turn it off.
But when you're claiming damages, it's a different story.
See, the problem has always been with defamation or any kind of thing is that you can't show anything.
You can't show any damage.

And what happens is, a couple of things you're going to notice about crowds.

She was talking, and all of a sudden, as she's speaking, she finds this...
I mean, it was ridiculous.
Tawdry, stupid, Ainsley, Doocy, sitting at the couch.
They don't have guests anymore.
They just talk to each other.

This is the end.
And we're also seeing the idea of libel, but specifically, and this is the thing you've got to understand, and this is the part that you've got to follow.
