Good day, friends. | |
This will be a rather truncated, a shortened version of our morning get-together.
A couple of things I noticed, for some reason I put...
Yesterday that we would be meeting at 5 a.m. versus 9 a.m. for reasons that I have no idea why.
None whatsoever. | |
But here we are. | |
Today's subject is education.
And I saw something which had me floored.
It was a piece I read or saw, rather, a news piece on the education system in Finland.
And how kids in Finland were allowed to learn at a pace and at a rate and at a level that just was astounding to me.
Astounding. | |
The order, the precision, the politeness, public school, the...
It made me almost want to cry.
To think that this was going on in another country.
And when I looked at this, I realized this could never happen here in this country.
Could never happen. | |
Never. | |
Just would not happen. | |
Compare it to any other regular school, public, and you would realize it just wouldn't happen.
It wouldn't fly. | |
It wouldn't work. | |
And the reason We can't say.
I mean, we can't say for a number of reasons.
Not because it's verboten, but we don't know.
We just don't know. | |
And nobody's asking. | |
Nobody's even remotely interested as to why this is the case.
And I want you to do this.
I want you to figure this out.
Just go and look at this.
This is so important. | |
This issue. | |
I know people are... | |
I am ballooned out. | |
I don't know about you. | |
I just have... | |
I do not... | |
The balloon stories have not...
There's no... | |
Nothing is changing. | |
I talk about that on my private channel.
I can't... | |
I just can't. | |
We're going nowhere. | |
But one of the reasons why is perhaps we're not able to critically think.
And maybe one of the reasons why we can't critically think is because we don't have any education.
That's number one. | |
I saw this and I realized there's just no way we can do this.
There is no way that we could possibly ever allow this to happen.
We would never. | |
It could never happen in this country.
And I wonder why. | |
And if you look at this, if you see examples like this, you realize right off the bat that, you know, there's nothing really anybody can do about that.
Nothing. | |
And I want you to think about that.
Think about that for a moment.
I saw another issue which we might pick up later on.
There's a device, if you ever watch, pay attention to Twitter, you have some great, great devices, great, great things you can buy.
And one of them I liked very, very much was this particular thing.
It's a GPS device. | |
And you can stick it in your car.
You can stick it in a... | |
Tailpipe. | |
You can stick it in a glove compartment.
Stick it inside. | |
You can put it anywhere.
It's a GPS little device.
And it goes anywhere you want.
And the question is, what if I just threw this in your car?
What if I went up to your car, stuck it in the back of it, and just let you drive off?
And now I know where you're going.
Would you have any right...
Any reasonable expectation of privacy?
Would you have any cause of action against me?
Would you, in any way, be able to act or to say anything as to my particular behavior regarding you?
Anything. | |
And the reason why we can't talk about that, and we might pick up on it later, is that immediately people will start This is what I tell you all the time.
You will start answering the question, but I want to know the questions you have.
What is to prevent me from utilizing the devices that are available at stores to surveil and to follow you?
And believe me, ask that question and only demand questions from people.
Not answers, questions.
What does it mean by reasonable right of privacy?
Are there any statutes that provide it?
Can I follow you in a car?
Could I just follow you?
Yes. | |
Well, if I can follow you in a car, is that okay?
Does that become stalking?
And what's the difference between me putting a device?
What if I follow you in a drone?
What if I just have my own little balloon, my own little drone, and I just follow people?
What does privacy mean in the 21st century?
What does all this mean?
Who's even thinking about this?
So I'm watching this ad on Twitter and I'm asking myself, is anybody even thinking about this?
Is anybody even remotely thinking about this?
Anybody? | |
Is anybody even thinking about this?
No. | |
Why is that? | |
And it just got me. | |
It's like, we're looking at these devices and nobody's saying, wait a minute, can we do this?
In the old days, what if I said, hey, you want to record your phone?
Put this little device inside the old days and you would take that little receiver cap off.
So these are two particular ideas that I am addressing in my private channel.
One is education. | |
And I cannot answer, I cannot...
The rules of decorum today prohibit me from even remotely addressing why we cannot have education like this today.
Cannot talk about this.
Cannot talk about it. | |
You can try, but deaf ears and you're really in perilous waters.
That's number one. | |
And number two, the issue of privacy today and surveillance.
I don't think anybody really understands this.
Interpol just read a story where they're going to be looking for people using police that are going to be stalking and involved in, of all places, the metaverse.
Now, good luck with that one.
Why? | |
Most people don't know what the metaverse is.
They haven't thought about this.
What I am trying to tell you is that I am very, very, very concerned by our inability To function through this labyrinth of issues by virtue of how we analyze problems and issues.
I cannot tell you enough how this works.
We have been talking about in this country the Grammys.
It's the same story over and over and over and over.
The balloon story, the same story, over and over and over.
And that poses a problem.
Because what I'm looking at, and I'm looking to see, where is this covered?
Where is the depth of this?
Where? | |
It doesn't exist. | |
These are fascinating subjects, but nobody wants to tackle them.
Because it's more fun to maintain this superficial, initial, I guess, surface level evaluation of the issue.
I can't say it enough. | |
There are some days when I feel like just throwing in the towel and say, you know what, let's just have memes.
What do you say? | |
Come on! | |
Let's just have videos of people making steak and having a guy with a beard chop up meat or have somebody talk about the war.
There's a wonderful theme.
Maybe we can have the 12 millionth Navy SEAL documentary or maybe another one on the mob or whatever.
Because we're becoming more and more concentrated in these very limited, very niche areas of concern.
And we're not talking. | |
There right now is an explosion.
An explosion in the world of nutrition.
Are you following this?
No. | |
Are you following this?
No. | |
I talk about our friends at Z-Stack.
Do you know what's happening regarding vitamin D?
Are you hearing what's going on?
They've been talking about this forever, by the way.
It's nothing really new.
There are so many things that we are learning.
We are in the world of absolute discovery and reinvention on so many levels, and yet you would never know it by virtue of the fact that we are still compressed into thinking these very, very simple things.
You know, like processed food is tasty, whatever, it's terrible for you, but it's tasty and it's all filled with salt and fat and sugar and whatever.
Well, that's what this new stuff is.
And I am telling you. | |
I've got my theories today, my stories all written out.
I ask you about this, I tell you about this on a regular basis because this is something which I take a lot of A lot of time doing.
But there are so many things that I wish I could talk about, so many things that I wish we would be able to talk about, but we can't.
We really can't. | |
And by the way, let me just say something to you.
I know what you're thinking.
You're thinking, oh, you can't say it because of some kind of prohibitions?
No, no, no, no, no. | |
It's the level of understanding.
It's the level of consumption.
It's the level of consumption about what people consider to be interesting.
Sometimes I can go with the flow, sometimes I can't.
Sometimes I say, you know what, we're just kind of wasting our time and maybe we should just throw in the towel.
Maybe we should just take six months off, all of us, and just, you know, reconvene later on when maybe people will be more serious because right now there are so many critical issues, so many fascinating issues that need to be addressed as an adult, from an adult point of view, but unfortunately we are unable to see this.
Now as I said before, And for reasons and for circumstances that I cannot explain at this particular time, but because of the vicissitudes of life, I must truncate today's meeting, and I must beg your forgiveness, and we will continue tomorrow.
But I'm telling you right now, if you want to hear something deeper, If you want to hear something more in-depth, and if you want to hear something that's a little bit more, shall we say, raucous, bawdy, and adult-like, subscribe to my private channel.
But in the meantime, I wish you nothing but the greatest of days.
See you tomorrow, same bad time, same bad channel, 9 a.m. Eastern Time.
Until then, remember, the monkey's dead.
The show's over. | |
Suya! |
