I don't want to ruin any illusion for you, but let me give you a little hint on what to do.
When you see something presented on TV, specifically when I say TV, listen to me, I'm dating myself.
Whenever you see somebody presented, something presented, I want you to ask yourself the following questions.
Number one, what do they want me to believe?
Not, what do I see?
What do they want me to believe?
What's the idea?
Why am I here?
What are they trying to sell me?
Not, not, what do I see?
What do I think?

When you understand, when you open up a box of some food, some vittles or vines or something, you've got to ask yourself, what do they want me to do?
They want me to like this.
And they want me to become addicted to it.
What they're going to be doing is they're going to be hitting me with salt, sweetness, and sugar.
And they're going to also be throwing in this unction notion of fat.
It's like this umami on steroids.
Umami, a word nobody understands, but they always say it on cooking shows.
That's what they want me to do.
They're not trying to feed me.
They're not trying to give me nutritious anything.
They're not trying to make me prolong my life.
They're not trying to...
Have me eat healthily?

They want me to like this.
They want me to like this and look at the packaging and look at the way it's presented and look at the front.

Only you would understand the real goings-on of this particular world that you will never be a part of, that will never have you as a member.
You see, everything is an illusion, and the illusion works on you looking at something in a way that is already predetermined, predestined.
We know what you're going to do.
We know what you attended to.
We know it.
Magicians have been doing it for the longest time.
Years ago, there was a study one time that suggested that neurologists can learn about learning defects by knowing how it is and what it is that people do when they are focusing on the wrong thing, on the wrong aspect of something.
Why aren't you seeing this letter?
Well, how does the eye work?
How do the eyes work?
How does the brain look?
What are the blind spots of the brain?
All of this is worked out.
And people who spend their life, either in some form, it's all a con, it's a work, it's deception, it's an illusion.
Remember, an illusion.
Versus an hallucination.
An illusion is something that is there, but I can change your perception of it in a way by presenting it in a different color or different shape.
The hallucination is something that's not there.
You're creating it out of nothing.
But illusions are completely okay.
Nothing wrong with that.
That's taking something that you're seeing, something that you're perceiving, and changing it in a way so that you see it differently.
Two lines look absolutely...
The Mueller-Lyer illusion, for example.
Two lines that look identical.
Put arrows at the end and change it, and one looks longer than the other.
And we know you're going to do that.
We know you're going to do it.
And by the way, there's something which humans all love.
Let me rephrase it.
It might not be all humans.
It might just be...
Westerners.
But, it goes something like this.
Everybody wants to be authentic.
Everybody wants to say, no, no, you don't understand.
I am the original hippie.
I am the real opera lover.

I know country music.
No, no, I was with NASCAR before you.
I, what was it, from Stripes?
I was into Tito Puente before anybody else.
People always love to think that their version of this reality is the most authentic, that they're legitimate, that their version of whatever it is, is the real McCoy.
The next thing they want, and it means so much, is for them to have, in their own mind, some justification, verification, some authentication, that the enemy is really the bad guy.
You're right about that.
Not only are you great being whatever it is that you're doing here, but you're right about those other people.
You've got it right.
Those are the bad guys.
We love bad guys.
We love bad guys.
Give me an enemy.
It's the negative of what we are, the chiral, not chiral, it's the photographic, the antithesis, the antipodal.
The opposite.
We love it.
Sometimes I don't know what we like more.
In professional wrestling, which I get most of my inspiration from, from the 60s and 70s, I should say, the heel, the bad guy, was in some respects more loved and a bigger draw than the babyface, than the good guy.
I don't know.
It works.
But what happens in every wrestling match, specifically tag team?
Vindication.
When the good guys win.
Greek tragedy, passion play, kabuki dance, but whatever you want to call it.
When the good guys win.
So let me just stop for a second because I don't want to overload you with stuff.
When you see something that's being presented to you, especially as an expose, tonight we have somebody from the mob.
Who's coming forth to tell you what the mob is about.
Tonight, we have somebody to show you what really goes on at carnivals and can you really win those prizes?
Are they rigged?
Tonight, professional wrestling, the real, you know, the truth.
Whenever you hear somebody, whatever it is, come forward.
And say to you, I'm going to tell you what's really going on here about this organization that made its money conning people, of which I was a member, conning people?
They're the con.
You're being taken.
They're getting you again.
It's in their blood.
And however they do it, either Presenting you to you something that they're trying to sell you was legitimate or showing you how this thing that other people are selling you isn't legitimate.
Either way, remember, it's an illusion.
There is no such thing, I hate to say this, as absolute truth.
It's, this is what I want you to believe.
And if you believe this, it benefits me.
I don't benefit.
I don't get anything if I all of a sudden just turn people on to truth.
If there's no payoff for me, I've got to get something in the back end.
Why am I doing this?
Especially when my whole life has been devoted to the illusion and the confidence game of presenting and laying the groundwork of perception.
This is a little scary, a little disconcerting.
I understand, but it's true.
