Over the notion of somebody using the term liberal and conservative and progressive and commie and Marxist.
I'm thinking to myself, what parallel universe do they live in?
What are they talking about?
Conservatives?
I haven't had enough time, a problem with Democrat and Republican.
Labels mean nothing.
You're using your father's.
Political nomenclature.
These words don't mean anything.
The concepts don't mean anything.
I'm going to explain specifically why they mean nothing and why you should stop immediately using these archaic, antediluvian, oseos, hori, and basically these anachronistic terms that explain nothing.

What do you, what do you mean?
Who are, what liberals?
And what it meant was, the people, usually democratic, Who were lily-livered, spineless, implicit, who liked things like, you know, tree-hugging, and they wore Birkenstocks, and they were hippies, and they ate granola.
I mean, just pro to typical nonsense that they were pro-abortion and pro...

Ted Kennedy was considered the, I guess, the antichrist, so to speak.
Jane Fonda, of course, and Susan Sarandon, and the usual suspects, but look at them now.
Look at them now.
A lot of what these people said, I agree with, and you might agree with it too.
Look at them now, and look at how using these terms are beyond Anachronistic!
What we have today is something that defies any kind of, I guess, nomenclature, descriptive.
I don't know what the word is.
I don't know how to explain this.
I'm not sure what you call this.
And if you insist upon labels, if that's your thing, woke, anarchic, nihilistic, radical left, What?
I don't know.
It doesn't apply.
It's not Joe Biden.
It's not the Democratic Party.
It's not progressives.
It's not liberals.
That's not it.
This movement today infected this ostensible party like a parasite, like a zombie, like some kind of an invading spirit that took over this group.
And now is spreading and perpetuating and disseminating and broadcasting things that I can't for the life may understand.
What does this have to do with anything?
And what's even more important, the prototypical, actual, venerable, established Democrats and liberals and progressives have nothing to do with this.
They don't know what to make out of this.
They don't know what to make out of this nonsense.
Nothing.
They have no clue.
You know, it doesn't apply.
And then what's really bad is when you start talking about Marxists, oh my god, socialists, these are communists.
Communists?
What, planned economy?
Marxist?
Marxian?
Classist?
Well, that's not what I mean.
Well, what do you mean?
Don't worry about the labels.
And if you do say Democrat or Republican, just use them as a kind of a shorthand.
This is not our enemy, and I say our, is not liberalism.
And I keep hearing this cute phrase, liberalism is a mental illness.
This isn't liberalism.
What are you talking about?
Listen to what they're saying.
The advocacy of Drag queen promenades and extravaganzas in school.
That was never a part of this.
The advocacy of having puberty-blocking hormones being administered oftentimes against the will of the parents, at least ideally.
That's not Democrat.
What are you talking about?
Not being able to define what is a woman.
This has never, yet.
At the same time, concomitantly, saying that only a woman can decide whether she gives birth.
Wait a minute.
You said you couldn't decide what a woman was or define what a woman was in terms of morphology, physiognomy, taxonomy, what have you, and you couldn't even tell me for sure whether only women got pregnant, but now you do?
So this kind of a schizoid back and forth, this routinized nonsense, is not Democrat.
It's not liberal.
If you want to use it for shorthand, go ahead.
Let them correct you.
But here's the best part.
I don't even know what the conservatives are.
Do you recognize this?
The conservatives and the left, again with these labels, are all in for this NATO expansion?
You want war in Finland?
What are you talking about?
You want to expand NATO and possibly war?
Under what?
How is this working?
This is the left?
You know, Jane Fonda, anti-war?
You want to go to war in where?
For what?
With Russia?
Are you kidding me?
This is insane!
So, the parties that we have now, these two groups, oh, oh, oh, let me just say, When you really want to have fun, the libertarians.
Throw them in.
Libertarians is when you don't know what to answer.
When you're on a first date, and you're lying about your musical interest, well, I'm into Coltrane, and like your classic and vintage bebop, I'm into the bird, and the birds, you know, even the Clarence White special.
And I really am into the whole notion of, you know.
You know, when you're lying, well, my politics, well, I'm basically kind of a libertarian, you know, live and let live.
I'm a Republican who wants to smoke dope, you know.
These folks, you know, bless their heart, have this idea that on paper, it sounds great, and you never really argue with a libertarian, and that's just the point.
It's kind of like, no, duh, obvious.
So let's just lose the name of these parties.
Seriously.
I've given up on everything.
You know, most people are not even able to define themselves in terms of their religious beliefs.
You know, a lot of people say, I'm a Christian, and that's fine.
Most people don't have any actual palpable, tenable, actual, real religious belief.
They really don't.
They have kind of a belief in kind of like a higher power thing.
Even labels don't apply to that?
Labels, I think, make some sense in some cases, but politically, it's nonsense.
If you brought some of the classic, the paleo-conservatives, Barry Goldwater, Reagan, and introduced them to what we're seeing now?
They wouldn't recognize it.
If you brought Gene McCarthy, McGovern, FDR, I mean, name your favorite liberal, and even those folks were sort of Democrats, I should say, too, which confounds it.

Stay away from labels.
You call them those guys, the other side, the enemy, the opposition.
Refer to Biden as the White House occupant.
These people have no names.
They have no titles.
They have no ideological belief in anything.
They have no structure.
They have no worldview.
They have no philosophy.
They have no plans.
There's no historicity to anything that they're saying.
Nothing.
They're into this kind of a weirdly kind of a hodgepodge.
Weird kind of vaguely glued together mosaic of patchwork quilt, something or other with climate change and war.
I don't understand it.
I don't recognize any of this.
None of this makes any sense.
That's why I'm not a Republican.
I'm not a conservative.
I'm not a liberal.
I'm not a Democrat.
I have to register or something so I can vote.
I'm an independent.
I don't know.

I have no clue.
I hate these labels.
And when you start getting into the label, then you spend most of the time dissecting what you mean by that.
What happened in a conversation years ago?
I made the mistake of saying, you know, I don't think Johnny Cash is really country.
Oh, what do you mean country?
Lefty Frizzell country?
What do you mean Jimmy Rogers country?
What do you mean Hank Williams country?
What do you mean George Jones country?
And then we spent an hour discussing what we meant by country.
We never talked about my initial premise about the music of Johnny Cash.
So that's what we're doing right now.
We get into this stuff.
And then CPAC comes along.

But they're going to have to do a little bit more than just going on Fox News or having some pithy little cute tweet.
They need actual legislative action.
I'm going to be talking about this as long as we know each other.
I'm going to keep talking about this because when you define anything, a musical taste, a particular love of cuisine, you find the limitations of nomenclature, the limitations of appellations and taxonomy, giving it a label, giving it a name.
The etymology of what you mean and what you refer to.
I'm telling you.
We are Americans.
May sound corny to you.
I used to think it was corny.
I really did.
All these people with the flags.
Would you put that flag away?
Now I'm a vexillology madman.
