Hey everybody, Laura Limer here. | |
| I'm a Republican candidate for Congress in Florida's 21st congressional district. | ||
| I just want to say thank you to Pastor Mattheo and his wife, Marlene. | ||
| We're here at his church, his congregation, Church of the Nazarene. | ||
| And I want to say thank you to all my campaign volunteers. | ||
| We helped coordinate a food bank today and we were able to provide food to families in need. | ||
| People are having a hard time right now, especially with the COVID-19 pandemic. | ||
| A lot of people are losing their jobs, a lot of people are going unemployed, and that's added on to people who may have already been hungry prior to the pandemic. | ||
| And so we're working every day to improve the community here in District 21, and that's what I plan to do when I get elected. | ||
| And I just wanted to allow the pastor and his wife to talk about how you can also get involved in the community. | ||
| Pastor Mattheo, how are you, sir? | ||
| Thank you, Laura. | ||
| So we want the community to know that Laura is committed to work with HECA Food Pantry to continue to feed the community. | ||
| Usually we feed about 7,000 people a month that we don't have a location where we can storage the food. | ||
| And Laura is committed to help us cut all these trees and we put a building here. | ||
| You see all these trees over there that we're going to cut them and put a building here so where we can storage the food and serve the community and feed the community. | ||
| And thank you guys for coming and thank you for committing to help HECA Food Pantry continue to feed the community. |
