How Ron DeSantis DESTROYED My Career
| Copy link to current segment

Time Text
Ladies and gentlemen, it's finally time to talk about the one man who has completely destroyed my career.
Ron DeSantis.
Yes, you heard that right.
The man who turned Florida from a purple battleground state into a shining example of conservative leadership is the very reason my content has taken a little bit of a hit.
You see, back in the day, I could go literally almost anywhere in Florida and easily find crazy liberals to interview.
The state was crawling with them.
College campuses, city streets, even the beaches.
It was like picking low-hanging fruit off of a tree.
What is the Declaration of Independence?
Hella fun now, y'all.
Thanks, Eatre Nandas.
So he recently said that billionaires shouldn't exist.
What do you think about that?
Yeah, that's pretty unethical, right?
So how should we get rid of them?
Guillotine?
AR-15s have absolutely no use right now.
I mean, no use.
17 shots to kill a deer.
You need 17 automatic shots to kill a deer.
AR-15s are automatic.
Are you voting for Trump?
Yep.
White supremacist.
Are you voting for Joe Biden?
Yes, I am.
Then you're a pedophile.
No, but thanks to Governor DeSantis and his relentless pursuit of common sense policies, those days are behind us.
Florida is now a solid red state.
And while that's fantastic for everyone who lives here, it's made my job a whole lot harder.
I mean, seriously, how am I supposed to make entertaining videos when the majority of people I run into are now sane, rational, and dare I say, even normal?
For the last eight years, they've been hating on white males.
Males in general, straight males, specific.
They've just been crucifying human beings.
And I've watched my friends going, I'm tired.
They're just, we're all defeated.
DeSantis has done such a good job cleaning up this state that it's practically impossible to find anyone willing to defend wacky liberal ideas.
From banning woke indoctrination in schools to keeping Florida open while the rest of the country was locked down, DeSantis has effectively chased out the nonsense and replaced it with good old-fashioned common sense.
And honestly, how dare he do that?
And let's not forget how his policies have completely shifted the political landscape.
Florida used to be known for its razor-thin election margins, but in 2022, DeSantis won re-election by nearly 20 points.
That is unheard of.
The so-called swing state isn't swinging anymore.
It's now firmly red and liberals are fleeing in droves.
You've got to wonder, where exactly are they going?
California?
New York?
Because it's clear they're not sticking around here.
Now, do not get me wrong.
I'm thrilled to live in a state where freedom reigns and parents' rights are respected.
But for someone who used to rely on liberals running wild in the streets, it's been quite the adjustment.
So here's where you come in.
I need your help.
If you know of any places in Florida where I might be able to go find some, shall we say, colorful characters to interview, drop your ideas in the comments below.
Whether it's a city, a neighborhood, or even a specific event, I'm open to your suggestions.
And while you're at it, let me know what kind of questions you think I should be asking.
After all, this channel is as much about you as it is about me.
But with Ron DeSantis making it so much harder for me to do my job, I can't keep doing this without your support.
If you enjoy my work and want to help me get back out on the street more regularly, head over to patreon.com slash Caitlin Bennett for just $5 a month.
You can join my private Facebook group where we can chat one-on-one and even bounce ideas back and forth.
Back in the day, I used to ask you for your support so I could pay security.
But thanks to DeSantis making Florida so comfortably red and pro-family, my needs have completely changed and I need to hire babysitters to go film now.
Your help means the world to me and I can't wait to connect with you guys.
Speaking of colorful characters, let's not forget the college campuses.
I tried visiting the University of Tampa just before the election and was completely shocked to find that 80% of students I interviewed supported Trump.
All right, great.
Perfect.
Pass it along.
We're all planning our vote down.
Another one for Trump?
Okay, is there anyone that supports Kamala?
No, oh my goodness.
which is, and I mean completely opposite from four years ago.
Secure that building.
All right.
Okay.
One more.
No, right there.
That's the quarter.
Go.
So if you're a college student and your campus is a hotbed for liberalism, please comment below.
Maybe it's time for me to take another tour of Florida's universities.
Or perhaps there's a protest or a rally somewhere that I don't know about yet.
Seriously, if you live in one of the few remaining blue pockets in the state, I'm counting on you to drop a comment and let me know where to go.
And speaking of you, I owe you all an apology for being away for so long.
Life has been busy in the best possible way.
My family has grown and I've been embracing my role as a stay-at-home mom.
It's been an incredible experience to live out the values I talk about online, which are faith, family, and freedom in my everyday life.
And let me tell you, there is nothing more rewarding than raising the next generation with these principles.
That said, I've missed connecting with all of you and I'm so excited to get back out there and create content that you'll love.
But let's talk about what's next.
As a Catholic mom, I've had time to reflect on the importance of the work we do here.
This channel isn't just about exposing crazy ideas or bad policies.
It's about holding up a mirror to society and showing people the impact of their beliefs.
It's about starting conversations that matter.
And in a state like Florida, where the political winds are shifting so dramatically, those conversations are more important now than ever.
We need to show the rest of the country what's possible when leaders prioritize freedom and accountability over fear and control.
So if you love living in a state that's getting redder by the day, make sure to support the businesses and creators who share your values.
Yes, states turning red might be bad for my business, since it's harder to find those wild interviews, but it's definitely better for yours.
A freer, safer, and saner Florida means better opportunities for all of us.
And I know that DeSantis blueprint is the model we all hope our country might follow.
And while we're talking about building a community, let's take a moment to celebrate how far we've come.
Florida is a beacon of hope in a country that desperately needs it.
But that doesn't mean the fight is over.
We need to stay vigilant.
We need to keep pushing back against the forces that want to drag us back into chaos and division.
And most importantly, we need to stay connected.
That's why I'm so grateful for all of you.
Your support, your ideas, and your encouragement mean the absolute world to me.
Thank you all for your continued support and patience.
Let's show the world that while Ron DeSantis might have destroyed my career, he's actually given us something far better.
A state we can all be proud of.
So don't forget to like, share, and subscribe if you haven't already.
