Hello, this is Jared Taylor with American Renaissance.
You probably didn't hear about this, but just last weekend, the ships of various European navies rescued more than 6,000 illegal immigrants who were trying to cross the Mediterranean from Libya in leaky boats to try to get into Europe.
Were they taken back to Libya?
No. Federica Mogherini, who was the head of foreign policy for the European Union, says, and I quote, No refugees or migrants intercepted at sea will be sent back.
Here are a few of the 6,000 after they landed in Sicily on Sunday.
They'll get free room and board and medical attention while they apply for refugee status, and then they'll be turned loose.
Most of them won't stay in Italy, though, because there are more jobs and handouts in northern Europe.
Some will end up in this camp in Calais, France.
From where they will try to sneak into Britain.
There have been a lot of them coming over lately, as you can see from this graph.
Africans crossing the Mediterranean weren't that big a problem before 2011, but that was the year we helped get rid of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, and about 70,000 people left for Europe.
Libya fell into complete chaos, and last year an estimated 220,000 made the trip.
This year is likely to set a record.
Most of the illegals making the trip aren't even Libyan.
Instead, they come from such happy places as Ethiopia, Somalia, Nigeria, and Mali, so mostly they're black Africans.
Here are some of them in Libya, waiting for the next boat.
And by the way, these are not poverty-stricken people desperate for their next meal.
They can afford to travel thousands of miles within Africa and cross the Sahara.
And the next thing they're going to do is pay a people smuggler $1,600 or more to get on a boat like this one and set sail for Italy.
Mind you, the idea is not actually to get there.
If they had to land somewhere, they might have an unpleasant time of it, like these fellows who washed up on the coast of Greece.
The smugglers have worked out a much more comfortable routine.
They stuff as many customers as they can into a tub like this one, with only enough fuel to get into international waters.
Then they send a distress signal to the Italian Coast Guard, jump ship, take off in a speedboat, and leave their cargo waiting for the white man to come to the rescue.
And, of course, that's what the white man does.
These illegal immigrants have just been taken off their junker and are on their way to a rescue vessel.
Here are more African illegals in an Italian landing craft.
What happens to the junkers?
They're towed to Europe.
Virtually every port in Sicily now has a boneyard of derelict smuggler boats like these, which will rot and fall apart, no doubt adding to the local charm.
It's a new policy.
For European navies to come dashing to the rescue when the people smugglers snapped their fingers.
The reason for the change is that earlier this year there were several catastrophic wrecks and hundreds of people drowned.
This map shows where illegal immigrants died in the Mediterranean just this year through the month of April.
The size of the circle indicates the number of deaths.
The light yellow circles are confirmed deaths.
The red ones are suspected deaths.
The death rate has been rising.
As you can see from this graph, last year an estimated 3,500 people drowned making the crossing, and 1,750 drowned as of April this year.
Some drowning victims have washed up on the beach in Europe.
In some cases, people who had expected to spend a day in the sun have pitched in.
To gather up corpses.
When bodies are recovered, European authorities give them what is probably a more solemn burial than they would have gotten at home.
This ceremony was on the Italian island of Lampedusa.
Here is a service that took place in Malta for immigrants who drowned.
You see, Europeans blame themselves for these deaths.
It would be xenophobic to blame the Africans for putting their own lives in danger.
And every death is a reproach to Europeans who failed to save them.
On Brighton Beach in Britain, Amnesty International sponsored a symbolic die-in to call attention to the horror that Europeans are permitting to happen.
And Europe accepts responsibility.
Spain's Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy says Europe risks, quote, Damaging our credibility if we are not able to prevent these tragic situations.
In April, when the Maltese Prime Minister, Joseph Muscat, heard that an estimated 700 Africans had drowned in a single accident, he said European inactivity would be, quote, nothing less than genocide.
A Swedish member of the European Parliament, Cecilia Wickstrom, is so appalled by the shipwrecks.
That she says future generations will look back on them and say that it was the equivalent of, quote, turning a blind eye to the Holocaust.
One rare dissenting voice is British columnist and TV personality Katie Hopkins.
She calls the illegals cockroaches, adding, bring on the gunships, force migrants back to their shores and burn the boats.
Show me bodies floating in the water, she says.
I still don't care.
This, of course, caused widespread shrieking.
An online petition to have her fired as a columnist has more than 300,000 signatures, but she's still at her job, for now.
The great irony is that Muammar Gaddafi of Libya saw it all coming.
While he was in charge, the Libyan Coast Guard tried to control people smuggling, and it cost $5,000 back then to try to get into Italy.
In 2010, When he was still head of state and not particularly hated in the West, he made an official visit to Rome where he met Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.
Here he is with one of his lady bodyguards sharing a light moment with the Prime Minister.
On that visit, Gaddafi said the following, and I quote, Europe runs the risk of turning black from illegal immigration.
It could turn into Africa.
We need support from the European Union to stop this army trying to get across from Libya, which is their entry point.
What will be the reaction of the white Christian Europeans to this mass of hungry, uneducated Africans?
We don't know if Europe will remain an advanced and cohesive continent, or if it will be destroyed by this barbarian invasion.
Well, the old fox was on to something, wasn't he?
But just one year after his visit to Rome, Gaddafi was dead with our help, and in the resulting disorder, the scramble for Europe really picked up.
Of course, the guy who really saw it coming was the French author Jean Raspin, who, way back in 1973, wrote a book called The Camp of the Saints.
In it, a whole flotilla of ships disgorges third-world immigrants onto the beaches of France.
The French Army does not have the nerve to stop them, and all of Europe is overrun.
Well, some Europeans look forward to that.
Remember Cecilia Wickstrom, Euro MP from Sweden, who thinks Europe is letting another Holocaust happen?
She wants, and I quote, legal and safe routes to Europe for Africans and Middle Easterners.
Dr. Tom Vickers of Northumbria University in England says, We should demand a safe means for them to cross into Europe and equal rights with citizens when they arrive.
Bring them all in and make citizens out of them.
Whether they know it or not, these people are calling for the death of Europe.
Everyone in Africa will soon learn that those wonderful white people have a new policy.
They will rush out to your boat and carry you straight to Europe.
It'll be boom-time profits for the people smugglers.
Just take a look at these population projections, especially the Green Line and the Red Line.
The Green Line near the bottom is the population of Europe, which is basically flat.
The Red Line is the population of Africa.
Back in 1950, there were only about half as many Africans as Europeans.
Now, where you see the dotted line, that's the present.
There are plenty more Africans than Europeans.
And by the year 2100, there could be even more Africans than Asians, who are the green line at the top.
Do you think those Africans are going to want to stay in Africa?
Africans have made a horrible mess of Africa.
Unless they are kept out with every means at Europe's disposal, they will flood into Europe.
