Phil Giraldi : The US Attacks Russia, Again.

Hi, everyone.
Judge Andrew Napolitano here for Judging Freedom.
Today is Wednesday, November 27, 2024, in America, the day before Thanksgiving Day.
Phil Giraldi joins us now, an American patriot, if ever there was one.
Phil, thank you for taking the time to join us today.
It's a short week, and I appreciate your hopping on at a time that's convenient for us.
What do you think that Prime Minister Netanyahu's hand Was forced in this ceasefire with Hezbollah either by Joe Biden's impatience for a deal before he leaves office or by the dominance of Hezbollah over the IDF in southern Lebanon?
Well, I think there are a lot of possibilities we have to look at, and those are two of them.
I also think that there are good domestic political reasons in Israel for our good friend Netanyahu to take this step to show that he's sensitive to those Israeli citizens from the north of the country that have been displaced.
And he's doing something about it.
Of course, this whole thing is wrapped in a package of an assumption that this is because the Israeli military has really whipped Hezbollah and they basically have won the fighting.
But I think there are a lot of other ways to look at it, too.
I don't see that Biden gains anything by a ceasefire.
The election's over.
And Biden has basically failed to exercise any effective pressure on the Israelis at all in the past two years.
So I think this is a null issue that's being raised.
I believe that it probably is true that Netanyahu, if anyone, did the pushing.
And they did the pushing for the reasons that I just cited and possibly some other longer-term objectives that he has.
For example, Since this was drafted up by the United States, I'd be suspicious of it in the first place because I think it will be written in a way that makes Netanyahu happy and gives him all kinds of options that he can exercise to restart the fighting and to basically let this thing get controlled by him.
Isn't that interesting?
How weak economically and militarily is Israel today, Phil?
It depends who you talk to.
I know certainly a number of people that have been on your program have cited the fact that Israel is going through an economic crisis, is going through obviously a political crisis too, in terms of what is being said and what is coming out of the two conflicts that the country is engaged in.
I tend to believe that that's true, although I also suspect it might be overstated.
Everything that is being said and done about the fighting in Gaza and the fighting in Lebanon has a big political stink to it.
And I rather suspect that we will find out in a few days what exactly the situation in Israel is.
For example, a number of people on your program have cited the fact that Israel has been suffering major casualties in Lebanon, but we don't know that.
Israel's not releasing any casualty figures, and if US intelligence has numbers on this, they're certainly being quiet about it.
So there are a lot of things we just don't know enough about yet.
The Israelis have leaked that Biden twisted Netanyahu's arm by delaying arms shipments and threatening not to veto UN Security Council resolutions.
Would you put it past Netanyahu to throw that out there so he has cover if this thing explodes?
Oh, absolutely.
I think that's a classic Netanyahu ploy, to have a cover story that explains why he does something that might turn out not to be terribly successful.
So this is something we should be thinking about.
I just don't, I don't imagine that this state of play between the United States, Joe Biden, and the United States and Netanyahu, that Biden has, I mean, it can slow up some arm shipments, but we already have Trump saying emphatically that one thing his administration will do, there will be no restrictions on the weapons that will be sent to Israel,
and there will be no delays on those weapons getting there.
So, you know, we kind of have evidence that within about less than two months.
We are going to have a continuation or perhaps even an increase in weapons going from the United States to Israel.
That's coming straight out of Trump's mouth.
I wonder if there's a method to Biden's madness.
This thing is 60 days long.
I mean, 60 days from yesterday is six days into Trump's presidency.
So Biden may want this to explode, and we'll get to Ukraine in a few minutes, and Ukraine to explode on Trump's lap in the middle or the second half of January.
Yeah, there are two separate issues.
Of course, yes.
Yeah, but the first demand that Biden made was a 30-day, which expired right after the election.
And that was where he was saying, unless Israel, unless Netanyahu eased up on the starvation.
Deliberate starvation of the Gazans, there might have to be some adjustment in the weapons that Israel is getting.
But of course he did not, in fact, Biden did not enforce that.
So there's a lot of playing going on.
I suspect you're correct in your suggestion that Biden is targeting Trump.
He's not targeting the Israelis.
He's not targeting the Ukrainians.
I think he's trying to lock Trump.
Into a certain number of policy positions and a number of positions on the use of weapons.
That's my suspicion.
I was just reading this morning and considering the various options that were floating around.
And I think that this is maybe Biden's revenge.
Interesting.
I want to get into that with respect to Ukraine, where it seems to be more apparent.
But before we do, what kind of hot water is Netanyahu in?
He hasn't brought the hostages home.
He doesn't have the settlers back.
He hasn't defeated Hamas.
His chief spokesperson is still in jail without bail for releasing secret documents.
He's accused of doctoring.
Prime Minister office records showing when he spoke to generals on the morning of October 7th.
And now he's got this conflagration of the ultra-Orthodox in the military.
They don't want to go in the military.
He doesn't want them there.
Is he still in hot water at home with all of these things flying about?
Well, yeah.
I mean, he's still basically in trouble with the electorate because of the corruption charges against him and his wife.
So I think that stink has kind of stayed with him.
And most of these other things is just, as you say, it's a matter of perspective.
I think opinion polls in Israel suggest that something like 90% of the population is fully supportive of exterminating the Palestinians.
And he certainly...
exterminating the Palestinians in a manner of speaking.
And has also of course been, at least up until the ceasefire, has been appearing to be sticking it to the Lebanese by this bombing campaign in which he's killing also more thousands of Arab civilians.
So I think that what he's, if the perception is that he's clearing Clearing historic Palestine, or even more than that, of Arabs, of Christians and Muslims, that's received very favorably by the Israeli public.
But if you look at other issues, you're quite right.
He says, where are the hot?
You've gotten, what, four or six of them after all of this?
And a lot of them were killed as a result of Israeli bombs.
So, you know, where are the hostages?
And where is the evidence of actually defeating the various enemies that Israel has made in the last two years?
Take me back.
20, 25 years or so ago.
If you, and with these problems, so you're back in the CIA, your buddies are Ray McGovern and Larry Johnson.
If the three of you express the opinions to your colleagues and bosses, and these are learned opinions that you express on this show, what would happen to your careers?
It depends on...
And the CIA is no exception to that.
The problem was, or the problem wasn't, I was a case officer.
I was a spy.
Or a recruiter of spies overseas.
My other colleagues that you mentioned by name were analysts, mostly in Washington.
So we had different kinds of jobs.
But I never hesitated to tell what I thought was the truth or what my agents were telling me what I thought was true to people higher up in the food chain.
and I know these reports went forward.
The question is, I was not in the,
And to this day, I really don't know who were the people under George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, you know, and certainly currently with President Biden, who were the people that screwed all this stuff up so that the stuff we were learning in the field And information we were getting that was good, valid information was somehow never making it through the process.
Switching gears.
Has the United States of America attacked Russia, Phil?
Yeah.
I don't think there's any ambiguity about it.
We've provided weapons.
We've provided money.
We've provided the logistics that enable the Ukrainians to use the weapons.
We have boots on the ground.
We have every component of U.S. being implicated, being involved directly in the war against Russia.
I'm looking, Chris, for the clip of that woman whose last name is Hofler, the agent describing how the weapons work.
Yeah.
So we wargamed this scenario, exactly this scenario back in the intelligence community.
And we are right now on the escalation ladder.
Inching towards a nuclear war.
The Russians and the United States are de facto right now in a war.
Why is that?
It is because those attackers don't fire by themselves, even though a Ukrainian soldier technically can push the button.
But the targeting of the weapon systems, ensuring that there's a proper flight trajectory of the missile, that it destroys the right target, the actual battle damage achieved that we wanted to achieve, it all requires U.S. personnel and U.S. satellites.
This is why the Russians have stated that the United States and European targets are now in crosshairs.
And every war game that we conducted back in the intelligence community ended up in a nuclear war.
This woman that I don't know, maybe you do, represents herself as former CIA and former DIA.
She certainly appears to understand.
When Americans trigger the weapon or download the data and program the weapon, and when the Brits do the same for their storm shadows, And they aim these weapons at Russian territory.
Does the United States and Great Britain become legally fair game for the Russians?
Well, I would say absolutely.
And this is, to me, this is the great failing of the current administration in Washington and also in London.
And that, couldn't you guys have foreseen this?
Of what you're doing and what you're playing at.
This could be World War III, nuclear war III.
This could destroy the earth as it currently exists.
And you're playing games with this.
I'm totally stricken dumb when I see and hear the stuff coming out of the White House and the stuff coming out of London.
And it's absolutely amazing.
What is wrong with you people?
There's just been a news report, I don't know if you've seen it, that one of the major Russian ICBM sites, it's called Kapustan Yar, has cleared the airspace over the entire range of that site.
In other words, they're sending a warning that we're ready to fire.
What will happen if they fire that, and at whom or at what will they fire it?
Well, that's the point.
I mean, we don't know what they'd be targeting.
So far, Putin has played a very, I think, careful game in terms of his retaliation, not necessarily feeding into an escalation.
So we're going to have to play with this as it goes along.
But this is just stupidity on the part of Britain and the United States to be provoking this situation.
And also, of course, these reports about French and British soldiers heading for the front line through Poland and into Ukraine.
I mean, this is just madness.
Let's sort of get back to where we were with Biden wanting...
Do you think that Biden is doing this, permitting the use of the attackums, permitting the use of the attackums after the Arashnik leveled a munitions plant outside of Kiev and turned it into dust, permitting the use of anti-personnel?
Do you think he's doing this to extend the war in Ukraine so that it comes tumbling down after January 20th?
Well, yeah, I would put it that way.
I'm not convinced about the tumbling down part.
I just think he wants to lock Trump.
Into the existing policy.
And he's trying to do that by increasing the U.S. involvement.
If you increase the U.S. involvement, you increase the risk to the United States.
And some idiot in the White House can actually argue that, gee, we're threatened by this.
I mean, we're threatened by this only because we created it.
We created the monster.
How can Trump end the Ukraine war in 24 hours?
Perhaps he's claimed he could.
He hasn't explained this to me, personally.
I have no idea, and I don't think anyone has any idea.
A number of people you've had on your show over the past couple of days have mentioned that isn't it time for Trump to start telling us what he intends to do instead of feeding it through people like Sebastian Gorka?
I mean, come on.
Mike Waltz, who's slated to be the next national security advisor to President Trump, has dismissed the seriousness of landmines.
He says that they are smart mines that can be turned off remotely.
Have you ever heard of this?
No.
In fact, the reason for using landmines is because they're I know you've seen this, but I have to see the look on your face as you watch it and as you comment on it.
This is Mike Walsh's soon-to-be deputy, Sebastian Gorka, cut number 10. I'll give one tip away that the president has mentioned.
He will say to that murderous former KGB colonel, that thug, Does he even know what he's talking about,
No, the one thing that's been very clear is that the Russians basically have a, A much more advanced military system, I'm talking about their hardware, than the United States has.
So ultimately, who is threatening whom?
Gorka is going to give more aid.
He calls a thug.
He calls Putin a thug.
And we're giving more aid to Zelensky, who is a thief.
And so that's going to solve the problem.
I mean, if we have more people like this in the new administration coming in and giving us their deep, profound thinking, we're in deeper trouble than we are with Joe Biden.
Here's even deeper trouble that we're in.
Here's the soon-to-be Attorney General of the United States talking about disregarding the freedom of speech.
Whether they're here as Americans or if they're here on student visas and they're out there saying, I support Hamas.
You and I have seen that on all of these television shows.
Frankly, they need to be taken out of our country or the FBI needs to be interviewing them right away when they're saying, I support Hamas.
I am Hamas.
That's not saying I support all these poor Palestinians who are trapped in Gaza.
That's not what they're saying.
So I think their student visas need to be revoked.
I think we need to reinstate President Trump's travel ban immediately.
There's a lot of things that can be done to stop this.
Yeah, the anti-Semitism is rampant throughout this country now, and it's truly, truly heartbreaking to see what's happening to all of our Jewish friends in this country.
Does it surprise you that Trump's senior executive leadership is 60% Jewish and 100% Zionist?
No, it doesn't surprise me at all.
It just is incredible that she is an educated woman, that she can come out with this kind of nonsense, saying, oh, it's not about Hamas, they're just terrorists.
It is about Hamas, but it's not about the poor Palestinians who are getting slaughtered by their tens of thousands.
This is ridiculous.
And to accuse anyone who could That's another beauty.
Are they going to take people like me and you and ship us overseas?
Where are they going to send us?
Right.
The last time I checked, I support Hamas is protected political speech.
And the government cannot punish it, it cannot chill it, it cannot interrogate the speaker of it.
I mean, that's the purpose of the First Amendment, is to protect the speech we hate, not the speech we like.
It's to protect all public speech.
Why don't we take some of these so-called leaders that we have and try them for treason?
Because as far as I'm concerned, they're trying to overthrow the Constitution.
She's certainly not.
Well, she took the same oath I did when she became the Attorney General of Florida, but she's certainly not interested in defending free speech.
The whole purpose of the First Amendment is to keep the government out of the business of evaluating the content of speech.
She wants FBI agents on the scene, on the spot, on the Columbia University campus, for example, to start interrogating students about what they said and what they meant.
That is antithetical to a liberal democracy.
And it's antithetical to the oath that she will take if and when, I assume when, not if, she becomes the Attorney General of the United States.
Phil, it's always a pleasure, no matter how cantankerous this world is and how frustrating it is, it's a pleasure to be able to pick your brain.
