Welcome to another Justin Forum talk radio show.
I'm your host, Craig James.
Hope you guys are having a wonderful day.
It's Monday.
We're back.
We're going to get into some news stories here.
Cover the summit from over the weekend, President Trump meeting President Putin.
We're going to be expecting to see more coverage today of the European leaders visiting the White House along with Vladimir Zelenskyy.
They're going to be talking about.
about this further negotiated peace that's definitely in the works.
We're going to get into that and a whole lot more in the second half of the show, but you guys know on Mondays we always start our week in the first hour with a sermon from Front Range Baptist Church right here in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Today's no different, but today is a little different because we have evangelist Rich Tozier.
who will be giving a sermon today titled Nothing Less Than Perfect.
So he came graciously to Front Range Baptist Church and delivered an amazingly powerful sermon, evangelist Rich Tozier and his sermon, Nothing Less Than Perfect.
Let's listen to that right now.
You know who I am and you know who I am now.
I'm Rich Tozier, glad to see you today and I bring you greetings from some former members that have been a blessing to me and I know we're a blessing to you, Sean and Shannon Seal.
I bought a house for the first time in our lives.
I'm an evangelist, so we travel in a fifth wheel trailer and my home church is in Kansas City.
I've lived in Kansas City for thirty two years.
But we, my mom and dad, forever had lived in Pensacola.
We're members of the Campus Church and such.
And so when I would spend my winter months, we'd always park at my parents' house.
Well, when they went to be with the Lord, I didn't have anywhere to go for the winter anymore.
And I thought, what do I do if I have to get off the road or whatever?
So we prayed about it, bought a small house in Pensacola, Florida, because, you know, birds have enough sense to go south for the winter.
So I figured I should do too.
So instead of wintering in a trailer in Missouri, we said, well, buy a house in Pensacola where we can put a trailer.
Well, I got into this thing.
And my dad was a general contractor, but he's not around now.
And I do not have my dad's gifts.
And so Jim Cruz and I had been talking, and Jim was talking about coming down and helping me and then Jim said I can do better.
He said Sean Steele just moved down there and he said Sean does electrical work.
So Sean did like eight days of work for me like and didn't charge me.
I probably shouldn't tell you that in case he charged any of you but he just felt pity on the fool who knew nothing right and so anyway Sean is a blessing and he and Shannon told me to tell you hi and so greetings from them and let's see Tim and Daniel and Eric.
Eric's his dad's little assistant.
He's there all the time when his dad's working on my place.
So anyway, hi from them.
We're going to go to Matthew chapter five if you will today.
Matthew five.
I'm grateful that Pastor would give up his pulpit.
I know he's been gone some preaching in some camps and such, and it's, it's got to be the height of conflict when, you know, I'm just finishing up a series and now I get a guest coming in.
So thank you Pastor for letting me have the pulpit today.
Before I read our text, I'm going to describe someone that you probably will put a particular face to them.
We've met this person, this type of person at some time or another.
Every time you meet these people, their clothes are perfectly pressed.
Their shoes look like they're brand new.
They always look put together.
If you were to visit their homes, you would not find a speck of dust on the desktop.
In fact, if you went into their closet, you'd see all the coats and pants hung up together and shirts color coordinated, plaids with plaids, stripes with stripes, whatever.
If you open up the desk drawer, you'd find all the pencils sharpened pointing in the same direction, highlighters color coordinated, rubber bands here, paperclips there.
I mean, these people are put together.
You'd never catch them without some kind of organizer.
Nowadays we all use our phones, so they've got a planner with them.
Reminded me to quiet my phone.
And we have all this sharpness going on, and these people are known as perfectionists.
How many of you know someone like this?.
Okay, and how many of you would not put yourself in the Perfectionist fan club.
You think these people drive me crazy.
Some of you may be married to one of those people, so we may need counseling afterwards.
Just a word on perfectionists though.
Did you know that God is a perfectionist?
And I'm not just talking about organizational perfection.
I'm talking about moral perfection.
I'm talking about personality perfection.
I'm talking in every sense of the word, God is a perfectionist.
And the Lord Jesus in the passage we're about to read admonishes us to be perfect like our Father in heaven.
I've titled the message Nothing Less than Perfect.
Nothing Less than Perfect.
Matthew 548 is our text.
But before you read that verse, I want to get some context.
So let's go back to verse number seventeen.
Jesus is speaking here, and this is where he starts the whole context of being perfect.
Start in verse seventeen with me, if you will.
He says, Think not that I'm come to destroy the law or the prophets.
I'm not come to destroy but to fulfill.
For verily I say to you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law till all be fulfilled.
Interesting, the word jot, that was the smallest Hebrew letter, kind of like an i in English, a small letter.
Tittle, that would be what we call a diacritical marking that's like where you dot the i or cross the t he says not one of the smallest letters not one tiny marking will pass from the law till all of it's fulfilled whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments and shall teach men so he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven but whosoever shall do and teach them the same should be called great in the kingdom of heaven for i say to you that except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and pharisees he shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven Let
me pause for a minute and collect where we're going.
So he says, all right, you're trying to get to heaven by keeping the law.
You're trying to get to heaven by being good.
And he would remind them of the reality that Isaiah expressed, all our righteousness is as what?
Filthy rags.
So you know, when you, let's say you do an oil change on a car and you've got the rags there, and when you've done something that soils the rags, what do you do with the rags?
You throw them out, they're not good for anything anymore.
Our righteousness, our attempts at being good, are just like that in the sight of God.
Think about this, if being good could get you to heaven, why did Jesus have to die on the cross?
Christ died for our sins.
You and I are guilty before a holy God.
And Jesus is saying, look, none of you have fulfilled the law.
I've come to fulfill the law because you can't., and he's getting to the point he's going to tell them eventually, I am the way, the truth, and the life.
No man cometh unto the Father but by me.
Our righteousness is never good enough to get us to heaven.
So he goes on to expose this to them because he says, all right, let me give you some examples.
And we now go into a section where he says, Okay, you heard this, but I say this.
So start in verse 21 here.
In fact, the you heard, I say, I just circled the key verse, the number in my Bible to show me where, how often this occurred.
Look at 21.
I circled the number 21.
Because here's where this starts.
You've heard that was said by them of old time, thou shalt not kill., and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment.
But I say unto you, whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment.
Whosoever shall say to his brother, Raqqa, the word Raqqa means empty-headed one, idiot, brainless person.
Whosoever says, Raqqa shall be in danger of the counsel, but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hellfire.
Okay, so here's where the pattern starts.
He said, You've heard this, don't kill.
But I'm going to tell you something.
If you speak harsh words to somebody, you've already murdered them in your heart.
Remember elsewhere he said, Out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, murders.
Murder starts in the heart.
Look at 27, I circle that number.
You've heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery.
But I say to you, whoever looketh on a woman to lust after, hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
All right, we're going to take a break, come back and keep listening to this sermon from Rich Tozier.
Stay tuned.

I'm your host, Craig James.
We're going to go right back to Pastor Rich Tozer, evangelist Rich Tozer, and his sermon Nothing Less than Perfect.
Adultery is not just the sinful action.
It starts with lust in the heart.
Look at 31.
It has been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorce.
But I say to you, whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causes her to commit adultery.
Whosoever shall marry her that's divorced, commits adultery.
They had gotten to the place where they were just getting divorce on demand.
And oh, does that sound familiarar?
And the Lord says, listen, I'm not sanctioning that.
Look at 33.
Again, you have heard that it has been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shall perform to the Lord thy nose.
I say to you, swear not at all.
Okay, for the sake of time, I'll just say, they they they got to the place where, you know, people say, I swear on the Bible, or you'll hear people say, I swear on God.
They would say, I swear on the gold of the temple.
He said, Let your ye be ye and your nay nay.
If you say yes, mean yes.
If you say no, you shouldn't have to say, I swear.
Be a person of your word.
Don't swear at all.
Verse 30, I'm sorry, 43, if you jump down there.
You have heard that it has been said, Thou shalt love love thy neighbor, hate thine enemy.
I say to you, love thy enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, pray for them which despitefully use you and persecute you.
Okay, so over and over he says, You've heard, but I said, in other words, the spirit of the law runs much deeper than the mere statement of the law.
And then we come to verse 48.
This is the text, so I wanted you to get that context.
Look at the text.
Be therefore perfect, even as your Father, which is in heaven, is perfect.
What in the world does he mean by that?
I remember I was a college preacher.
I had graduated from Pensacola Christian.
I was asked to travel with some of their singing groups as a preacher, a student preacher.
And I remember I was in Indiana, this had to be about, I don't know, 1988 maybe.
And so I was a young guy, I'm preaching on this passage of Scripture.
And I remember saying in my message, Now, the idea of hearing perfect is to be spiritually mature, it's to become like Christ.
Obviously, it doesn't mean sinless, nobody's sinless, but the idea is to become more Christlike.
Well, after the service, the pastor said to me, Brother Tozer, could I talk to you before you leave tonight?
If you ever get called to the principal's office when you're a kid, you know, it's not just a social visit, right?
So it was one of those moments, and I thought, Okay.
So I went in there and I said, Pastor, you wanted to speak to me?
He said, Yeah, have a seat, brother.
So I thought, Uh oh.
So I sat down.
He said, You know, I'd like you to open up your text that you read tonight.
So I opened it up.
And he said, Would you mind reading it to me?
I said, Oh, yes, sir.
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your father, which is in heaven, is perfect.
He said, I'm going to have you read it again, but I'm going to have you stop at a certain point.
So here I am reading, Be ye therefore perfect, even as and he said, Stop right there, brother.
Even as whom?
Your father, which is in heaven, is perfect.
He said, Brother Rich, I want to ask you a question.
Is God the Father sinless or not?
I had kind of painted myself into a corner with my statement.
Remember, I had said in the message, it obviously doesn't mean sinless, because I reason backward.
I thought, well, none of us are sinless, so it can't mean sinless.
But the pastor had a really powerful point.
It says, Be perfect, even as God, as your Father in heaven is perfect.
And I knew I'm trapped.
And so, do you ever get yourself in one of those positions?
Brother Phil, when I got myself in that position, I did what Jesus did.
I asked a question to his question.
I said, Pastor, may I ask you a question before I answer that?
He said, That's fair.
I said, Do you believe in the sinless perfection of the Christian in this lifetime?
Now, let me just interject here.
How many of you know what sinless perfection is?
Have you ever heard a person that claimed that a Christian could be sinlessly perfect in this life?
Anybody ever meets somebody like that?
I met a man one time.
He was from a holiness background.
And he swore that he had not sinned in 20, I haven't sinned in 20 years.
I'm looking around thinking, I want to talk to his wife, see if that's true.
But, you know, I know what he meant.
He hadn't cussed.
He hadn't killed anybody.
He hadn't murdered anybody.
But I'm thinking about, you know, the thought of foolisishness is sin.
All unrighteousness is sin.
To him that knoweth to do good and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
You know, sin is not just the big lopper things that you can do that are wrong, right?
So when this pastor said, you know, is God sinlessly perfect?
I thought, well, maybe he believes in sinless perfection.
So I asked him, Do you believe in the sinless perfection of the believer in this lifetime?
He said, No, I don't.
But he said, The reason I challenged you tonight is no other reason except that it casts a spurgeon on it, it brings a question to the character of our God.
And I said, You brother, I'm not trying to make you feel uncomfortable, but he said, I really would encourage you to think that through before you preach it again.
And I'll tell you what, Pastor, I thought it through before I preach it again.
You know, I have, I do not want to do anything to diminish the character of God.
So I wrestled through, what does this mean?
Be perfect.
Okay, we're going to dive into it.
So I'm going to break it down into three areas.
I've called it nothing less than perfect.
Let me start with this.
Number one, if you want to follow, be easy.
Perfection demanded.
Perfection demanded.
Let's ask the question, why be perfect?
Okay, perfection demanded.
Two reasons.
First of all, God commands it, and secondly, sanctification demands it.
Okay?
We'll get into that in detail, but let's start with God commands it.
This particular passage is in the form of a command.
It's an injunction.
He says, Be perfect, even as your Father, which is in heaven, is perfect.
Interestingly enough, that is repeated surprisingly in Paul's letter to the Corinthian church.
Now, you remember the Corinthians, they were a bunch of carnal people.
In 1 Corinthians, they had such problems.
They even had a man commit incest with his father's second wife or whatever, a later wife that he had come along, whatever.
And this man is committing incest.
And you don't think of the Corinthians as this really model church.
Well, by the time of the second epistle, they had turned around, they had started getting things right, and he ends his letter by saying this, 2 Corinthians 13, verse 11.
Finally, brothers, farewell, be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace, and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
That's quite a sign off to your letter.
Hey, I'm going to say bye now.
Now you guys just go out and be perfect.
What in the world?
That is exactly what he said.
So, first of all, in a couple of instances, God commands it.
But then letter B., sanctification demands it.
Sanctification demands it.
Now, if you haven't grown up in church, the word like sanctification might be totally foreign to you.
But if you've grown up in church, you know that sanctification is a theological word.
In fact, it has to do with a process, and it's a process of becoming like whom?
Becoming like Christ, sanctification.
Okay, so let me give you a few scriptures you might write down.
Many of you know Romans 8, 28.
We know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose.
Vers 29, For whom He did foreno, He also did predestiny to be conformed to the image of His Son.
Hey, listen, when God saved you, his eternal plan was that you would become more and more like Jesus.
Philippians 1, 6, another good reference.
Philippians 1, 6, being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it to the day of Jesus Christ.
In fact, Hebrews 12, 1 and 2, He is the author and finisher of our faith.
Really interesting.
He didn't just save you to start the work.
He saved that He might sanctify you, make you like Christ, like Him.
In fact, write down 1 Peter 1, 15 and 16.
But as He which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner.
of conversation, every way that you conduct yourself, every way of living.
For it's written, Be holy, for I am holy.
Okay, so let me ask you, if you're becoming more and more like Jesus, what was Jesus like?
He's perfect.
So God commands him.
Now, I'm sure that leaves you with more questions than answers.
We're not finished yet.
All right, let's go to number two.
Perfection defined.
Number two is perfection defined.
What is perfection?
Okay, we started with the question, why be perfect?
Now we'll go to the what.
What is perfection?
It's interesting.
The word that is translated perfect means complete in all its parts, wanting or lacking, nothing, having reached its term end or limit.
Think about this, you have a box of toys that you're going to give your kids for Christmas and, oh, Dad, you know how it is on the box, so the dreaded word some assembly required.
So you dump the toy out on the ground and you try to put it on the floor, you try to put it all together and your wife says, Don't you need the manual?
No, I got this.
You know, typical man.
I got this.
So you put it all together and when it's all said and done, there's some extra parts.
And you said, Huh?
Some extra parts.
Your wife says, I don't think they put extra parts in there.
Well, they did in this one.
Well, you give it to the kid and of course they weren't't extra parts.
And so what happens?
After a while, it just falls apart, right?
Okay.
Complete in all parts, wanting or lacking nothing.
That's one meaning of the word.
Let me ask you, have you ever felt like your Christian life was so put together, you weren't lacking in any area?
If I said, How's your prayer life?
Hey, do you have a consistent devotional life?
Yeah, about that.
Hey, do you witness to people?
Do you give the gospel out?
What's your attitude of serving others like?
I mean, I could just go into a few examples.
It's almost like juggling plates.
You know, if you're juggling plates, you got to keep them all in the air and you got to keep moving at the same time.
Who has ever felt like his Christian life was complete in all parts, lacking nothing.
I don't think any of us have ever felt that way, but that's the admonition.
So let me give you this.
Perfection defined.
Let me start with A, an argument.
Okay, you might jot down argument.
Here's the argument.
Nobody's perfect.
Don't expect me to be.
Nobody's perfect.
Don't expect me to be.
Now, when that pastor had said to me, you know, is God the Father sinlessly perfect or not, and I thought, well, maybe he believes in sinless perfection, I was going to go with him to 1 John.
Would you jump over there with me?
This would have been part of my answer.
Let's go to 1.
John 1, 8, 9 and 10.
We're going to do several comparisons of Scripture, so I hope you follow along.
1.
John 1, 8 says, If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins, he's faithful and just to forgive us our sins, to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar and his word is not in us.
So let me ask you, who is we referring to in 1 John 1?
Who's that speaking of?
Anybody got an answer?
Who's that speaking of?
The saved, yeah, the Christian.
That's speaking about you.
How do I know that?
Verse 9, if we confess our sins, he's faithful and just to forgive us.
to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
That's not true of anybody but the born again person.
If you've not been born again, then you cannot say that God justly forgives your sins.
The only way God can justly and faithfully forgive if those sins were paid for by the blood of Jesus Christ.
So, we refers to the believer.
Okay, go back to verse eight.
If we say, if the believer says, We've not sinned, we deceive ourselves.
We have no sin, we deceive ourselves.
Verse ten, if we say, We've not sinned, we make him a liar.
This is not saying it's okay to sin.
Look at chapter two, the next verse, chapter two, verse one.
My little children, these things write I into you for what purpose?
That you sin not.
And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous.
Okay.
So he's not saying, Hey, listen, it's all paid for, it's under the blood, it's okay to sin.
No, no, he's saying, I'm telling you, do not sin.
But if you sin, thank the Lord, we have an advocate, Jesus Christ.
Okay.
So your relationship is permanent, your fellowship depends on keeping short accounts with God, confessing sin.
So what a wonderful thing.
Relationship permanent, fellowship is dependent.
Okay.
You know, thinking of you, Phil, when you were in West Virginia.
I met a man in Clarksburg once.
He told me we lived near the train track when I was a kid.
And he said there was a trestle bridge.
And of course they carry coal, you know, in West Virginia.
He said the coal cars would go over and shake back and forth.
And these mounds of coal, silt, for lack of better word, would be at the bottom of the trestle.
So he said his kids, we'd go down there.
We'd climb in that coal all day long.
He said, Well, we'd be filthy, head to toe, black with coal, you know.
So I'd mom would ring the bell and I'd come home for supper and I'd be ready to eat.
And she said, Whoa, stop right there.
You're not going in that house like that.
It's covered with coal.
She said, You go get the hose, you hose off and then you go up.
and you get a you get a bath or a shower.
He said, Well, I'm hungry.
She said, Listen, honey, you will always be accepted at this house, but you're not always acceptable at this house.
You get acceptable and then you come to the dinner table.
That's a good analogy.
When you're in Christ, you are accepted, accepted in the beloved.
You'll never lose your relationship, but you're not always acceptable.

Welcome back to Just Forum Talk Radio.
I'm your host, Craig James.
James, and we're going to go right back to pastor or evangelist Rich Tozier and his sermon, Nothing Less Than Perfect.
You gotta get back in fellowship.
That's what verses nine are about, confess our sins.
Okay, so the argument is, well, nobody's perfect.
Don't expect me to be.
In parentheses, I put the phrase no attempt.
That attitude leads to no attempt.
You know, like, oh, nobody's perfect.
Jesus died for me.
I'm okay.
Have you ever seen the bumper sticker on a car that says Christians aren't forgiven?
I'm sorry, Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven?
Okay, I botched that one.
Somebody passes you, and you look on the bumper sticker, Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven.
You think, well, okay, you're milking that one.
Now, we are forgiven, but the admonition is to be perfect, to be like Christ.
So how do you balance all that?
Okay, I'm going to have you go over to another passage of Scripture in Philippians chapter, no, let's go to Colossens chapter one for just a minute.
And let me set this up as you turn it.
I'm going to give you an illustration.
When I was in college, I was preaching on this particular passage of Scripture, and I remember I thought, I have to find an illustration about perfect.
And wow, what came to mind was a perfect game in baseball.
So I thought, okay, I'm going to find out the perfect game.
So I remember I went to the library, and this is back when you had to look stuff up on Microfish, okay?
And so I'm looking for Perfect game and a number of Sports Illustrated articles about it.
Well, I found one that captivated me.
It was from a 1952 baseball game played in the minor leagues.
In fact, it was played in May 13, 1952 between two teams called the Bristol Twins and the Welch Minors.
Yeah, I had never heard of them either.
And these guys were remarkable.
This game was remarkable because Bristol had a pitcher by the name of Ron Nechai.
Nobody could hit this guy.
In fact, he went out in the first inning.
He struck out the first three batters he faced.
Second inning, he gets two strikeouts, then there's a ground out to the shortstop.
So six guys straight go down.
Third inning, the first batter got on when the shortstop bobbled a ball, but then Ron struck out the next three consecutive batters.
Fourth inning, Ron hit the first man, so that's an automatic walk.
But then he collected himself.
He struck out the next three.
Now I gotta tell you this.
Ron Nechai was 1,85 m, okay?
So at my apex, I was 1,86 m.
About my height, okay?
And you know, a lot of tall pitchers, they'll use the leg action or come over the top.
Ron would just bring the ball to his chest and fire the fastball.
Nobody could hit this guy.
He goes out in the fifth inning, another three in a row, strikes him out.
Sixth inning, same thing.
Seventh inning, when Ron struck out the first guy in the seventh inning, the fans shout out, eighteen.
In six and one thirds inning, he had struck out eighteen batters.
Next guy comes up, Ron strikes out that guy.
Then he walked the third in, but he struck out the fourth batter, and the fans said, twenty, seven innings, twenty strikeouts.
Oh, there's something else I gotta tell you.
Ron had this ulcer that he was batting that night, and so all of the stress of the pitching, he's coming out into the dugout in between innings.
He's eating cottage cheese and drinking some milk trying to control this ulcer.
In fact, one time during the game they called time out and the bat boy took him a glass of milk and he drank milk on the mound just to try to control the ulcer.
He goes out in the eighth inning, he strikes out another three consecutive batters, 21, 22, 23.
The fans are yelling it out now.
Ron goes out in the ninth inning.
He gets two quick strikes on the first guy he faces in the ninth inning.
Well, you know how it is with batters.
They're trying to stay alive, just make contact.
So this guy swings at it to create a foul ball.
It pops up in the air.
Kutcher throws off his mask.
He's got an opportunity for a easy catch and the people in the crowd yell out, Drop it, drop it.
So he drops it.
And on the next pitch, Ron strikes out that guy.
So that's strikeout number twenty four.
Well, he strikes out the next guy, that's twenty five.
Third guy comes to the plate, Ron strikes him out.
But on the third pitch, unintentionally, the catcher drops the ball and he can't find it and the astute batter makes it to the first base, which, you know, in baseball is allowed.
So although he was striked out, number twenty six, he's an active runner and that brings another runner to the plate.
Well, now the crowd is thinking, what in the world is going to happen?
And everyone's got, they're not just breathing a sigh, they're saying nothing, and they don't know what's coming, it's the fastball.
That's all Ron has.
He goes out, gets two quick strikes on him, could have hurt a pin drop, Ron rears back, throws the fastball, the guy swings and misses, and the people in the stands come unglued.
27!
They come out of the stands, someone throws Ron on their shoulders, they carry him around the field.
Nobody had ever struck out 27 batters in a nine inning game.
Incredible!
That's why I went with that story.
Except it's not a perfect game.
And you who know baseball, a perfect game, no runs, no hits, no errors.
There were errors, the shortstop bobbled the ball, Ron beamed a guy, you know.
What if the first time the shortstop had made an error?
What if Ron had thrown his glove on the ground like, Here goes my perfect game?
Pitchers know you hardly ever throw a perfect game.
But here's the thing.
Athletes want to excel to the best degree they possibly can.
I like to play golf, you know, and eng in golf, what do we call the score that you're supposed to shoot if you're a good golfer?
It's a three-letter word with a P. What's that called?
Par.
So you want to do par or better, right?
Sometimes I'm six under after a round.
That's six feet under.
You know, I wasn't anywhere close to par.
But the goal is to try to shoot par.
Okay.
I always marvel that the attitude of athletes is to be as exceptional as they can be.
And they're playing a temporal sport for money that just doesn't or fame that doesn't last.
I went back.
Randy Johnson, when he pitched for the Rockies, won up against the Atlanta Braves at the age of 40.
And he pitched a perfect game.
Perfect game.
And didn't Randy Johnson 1,80 m was he?
In his perfect game, he had 13 strikeouts.
Ron Nutche had 27.
Yeah, but see, we all know it takes a lot of other factors to have a perfect game.
It's incredible to me, I think it's a rebuke that athletes have such a thirst for excellence while Christians are often so apathetic.
Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven.
God forbid you have that attitude.
If an athlete is pursuing perfection, how much more more ought a Christian?
So I had to go to Colossens.
Look at Colossens 1, verse 28, whom we preach, and he's talking about Christ Jesus here, whom we preach, warning every man, teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man, what's the last phrase in this section here?
Perfect in Christ Jesus.
Huh?
All right, let's go to chapter two, look at verse 10, the same book.
And you're complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.
The word translated perfect and complete is the same word.
It's the idea of lacking in no area.
Okay?
So, what is he talking about?
All right, we have an argument.
Nobody's perfect.
Let me give you letter B then an answer..
Okay, an answer.
We have an argument.
Nobody's perfect.
Don't expect me to be.
That leads to no attempt.
Answer.
Christ is our sufficiency.
Christ is our sufficiency.
And I put in parentheses, no excuses.
Christ is our sufficiency.
Flip back with me to the book of Philippians, just one book back from where you are in Colossans.
Go to Philippians chapter three.
Look at verse seven.
And let me read seven down to verse fifteen from there.
What things were gained to me, those I counted lost for Christ.
Yea, doubtless, I've counted all things but lost for the excellency of the knowledge, the personal knowing of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I've suffered the loss of all things.
Do count them but dung, that I may win Christ.
Dung as table scraps and manure, rubbish, and be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith.
Verse nine, that's huge for Paul to say that.
All right, we're going to take a break and come right back.
Stay tuned.

And I'm thinking, I want to try them for myself.
But can you tell me how they work?
You wear the patch, which is about the size of a quarter, twelve hours a day, twelve on, twelve off.
And the patch uses your body's own light and energy and copper peptides to reactivate the dormant stem cells in your body.
Once a stem cell has been reactivated, it can be used by any of the cells in your body that need it, creating a healing and growth process you haven't experienced since your youth.

Welcome back, Just Forum Talk Radio.
I'm your host, Craig James.
We're going right back to pastor or to evangelist Rich Tozier and his sermon from Front Range Baptist Church over the weekend.
Not my own righteousness.
Remember this.
He'd been a farisee.
The farisees were the strictest sect of the Christian of Judaism.
They were trying to keep the letter of the law.
They even added laws in the hope that they would accrue points with God, if you will.
So they're trying to keep the law.
He says, I'm not going to get to heaven based on my own righteousness.
It's got to be the righteousness of Christ, verse ten, that I may know him and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings being made conformable unto his death, if by any means I might attain to the resurrection of the dead.
That's an interesting verse.
What does he mean, attain to the resurrection of the dead?
I got thinking, okay, what's, what could he be pining after?
What's going to be different in your resurrected body than what you experience right now?
What do we always think of?
No more pain, no more suffering, no more tears.
But you know the biggest thing that will happen when you're in your glorified body, no more sin.
Paul says, Oh, if I could just attain to the resurrection of the dead.
If I didn't have to say, like I wrote in Romans, Oh, the things that I would, I do not, and the things which I would not, those I do, wretched man that I am.
He said, Oh, if I could just attain to the resurrection of the dead.
He's not there yet, though.
Look at verse 12.
Not as that already attained.
Listen, Paul's telling you, he, the apostle, I haven't achieved perfection yet.
Not as that already attained.
Either we're already perfect.
I circled that word.
But I follow after, meaning I'm in hot pursuit.
If that I may apprehend, that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
What does that mean?
If I could just start practicing the reason for which He took hold of me, what did He save me for?
Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.
Christ died for our sins.
Christ came to deliver us from sin.
If I could just lay hold of that for which He laid hold of me, brothers, verse 13, I count not myself to have apprehended, but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, reaching forth into those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded.
Whoa!
I'm in Philippians 3:15 there.
I circled the word perfect there.
Wait a minute.
Is Paul blatantly contradicting himself in four verses?
Back in verse twelve he said, Not as though I had already attained either were already what?
Perfect.
And then he says in verse fifteen, Now let us who are perfect have the same mindset.
What is he talking about?
Okay, in verse fifteen he's talking about possession.
Okay, I am perfect in Christ Jesus, like the Colossans passage.
But in verse twelve he's talking about practice.
He says, My practice isn't perfect yet.
You ever hear people say, Practice makes perfect?
Actually, practice makes habit.
If you practice bad makes habit, but he says, I haven't attained perfection in my lifestyle yet, but I have been given perfection in Christ Jesus.
So the answer, Christ is our sufficiency.
When Satan comes accused, he says, look what Rich Tozer did.
And you know what?
He's got a whole case file against me.
If I had to stand before God in my own righteousness, I'd be going directly to hell when I die.
That's where I was headed.
That's what I deserved.
But there came a day in my life.
For me, it was February 12, 1989.
I realized I'm a rotten sinner.
I realized God is holy.
My father said, Rich, your iniquities separate between you and God, your sins.
Where does God live, son?
He lives in heaven.
So if you die separated from God by your sin, where can you not go?
Heaven.
Son, where would you go?
I didn't even want to say it.
I'd only heard people use it like a cursor.
I pointed downward.
He said, That's right, Rich.
If you die separated from God, you'll end up in hell.
Son, there is a hell.
It was made for the devil and his angels.
But men, because of their rebellion against God, will die and go to the same place.
I said, Dad, I don't want to go there.
That's why we're having this talk.
God doesn't want you to go there.
I don't want you to go there.
And he said, Christ died for our sins.
He was buried.
He rose again.
That day from John chapter three, you must be born again.
My father led me to faith in Jesus Christ.
I became perfect in Christ Jesus.
So when Satan comes saying, Look what Rich Tozer did.
He deserves to die, Jesus says, It's true.
But it's exactly why I died for him.
I died for him because he would never have standing before you, Father, but by my righteousness.
And I have clothed him in my righteousness.
I have freed him from his sin debt.
I have given him my goodness.
That's what salvation is all about.
So I want to finish with this.
Perfection developed, number three.
Okay, so we've looked at perfection demanded and perfection defined.
Why be perfect and what is perfection?
But now we get to the how.
Perfection developed.
How do I become perfect?
I went back in my Bible, in my Concordance, and I looked up the word perfect.
And I thought, okay, I'm going to find out.
Where does the Bible say how he perfects us?
There are three passages, and I'm going to take them just briefly.
You could do this yourself.
You look up the word perfect.
There are three places he tells us how he perfects us.
I'm going to take them in the order of the New Testament.
Go to Ephesians.
If you're in Philippines, you just back up one more book.
You've been following along with me.
Go to Ephesians chapter 4, verses 11 to 13.
And you're going to find the word perfect here.
I circled it in my Bible.
And you're also going to find how he perfects us.
Ephesians 4, 13.
Till we all come in the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God unto a perfect man unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
All right, I missed, I started in 13, sorry, go back to verse 11.
He gave some apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers for the perfecting, verse 12 of the saints, I circled that, for the work to the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.
Till we all come in the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God unto a perfect man to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
Okay.
So the Lord says, I gave apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers for the perfection of my saints.
Apostles and prophets were used in the early church until the Scripture was completed.
We don't have those offices today.
Okay.
It's not that God couldn't do it.
He just said, When I finish my word, that which is perfect is come, that which is a part will be done away.
So we don't have prophets and apostles today.
But we still have evangelists and pastor teachers.
Okay.
I'm an evangelist, he's a pastor teacher.
Let me illustrate it this way.
God is perfecting us through the office of the these people, but how?
Like, are you just perfected because your dad was a pastor?
So, Jason and Londa Montgomery are friends.
I've known them for a long time.
Linda?
Okay, we're taking a break.
Coming right back.
Stay tuned.

Welcome back, Just For One Talk Radio.
We're going to go right back to past to evangelist Rich Tozier's sermon, Nothing Less than Perfect.
Wanda's dad's a pastor.
So Landa grew up in a preacher's home.
Well, is she perfected?
Because, well, my dad, Liv Umfreys, was a pastor, so I'm perfected.
Is it just rubbing elbows with these people?
No.
What does the pastor do?
What does the evangelist do for the perfection of the saints?
Do we just get a big vat of holy water up here and start sprinkling on people?
Saved, thank God, filled with the Holy Spirit, thank Jesus.
Okay?
Do we, how do we perfection people?
I'll give you a hint.
I'm doing it now.
Please don't say sweating and spitting.
What am I doing right now?
Preaching.
Yeah.
How many of you have ever been transformed by a message that you heard from God's word?
May I see your hand?
Amen.
That should be normal for the Christian life.
You know, Landa did not become Christ like just by being in a preacher's home.
I didn't become Christ like just because I got ordained.
You don't become Christ like just because you sat under preaching.
The book of James tells us to be not just heroes of the word, but to be it's a D word.
What is the word?
Doers.
What good is preaching if you don't respond to the word?
That's why we still give an old fashioned invitation, churches like yours and churches like mine, because there's a so what?
What do I do with this?
All right, go to the book of 2 Timothy, chapter 3.
2 Timothy chapter 3 verses 16 and 17.
So we're perfected through preaching.
But that's not the only way God perfects us.
2 Timothy 3 verses 16.
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, breathed out by God.
And it's profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction and righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect, truly furnished under all good works.
In fact, I had forgotten to circle that.
My Bible did it right now.
Be perfect, truly furnished under all good works.
Okay, in verse 16, he says, I gave a perfect word.
It's the Bible, given by inspiration.
Why did he give a perfect word?
To perfection you.
Let me ask you, how many of you have ever been transformed by teaching from the Bible that was just you and God?
You're reading the Bible and he changed your attitude, he changed your action.
How many of you have ever had that experience?
Okay.
We become perfected not only through preaching, but personal study of Scripture, personal study of Scripture.
That's why it's so important to have daily devotions, quiet time with God.
We'll finish in James chapter one and I'll give you the last one.
And again, I just went through the Concordance, looked up the word perfect, the verb perfect.
How does God perfect us?
James one, verses two through four.
My brothers, count it all joy when you fall into diverse temptations, knowing this that the trying of your faith works with patience.
But let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
I had forgotten to circle that one too.
So let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
He not only uses the word perfect, he gives the definition of it.
Perfect, which means what?
Entire, wanting nothing.
Okay, according to James, what does God use to make you more and more like Christ?
Various kinds of temptations or trials.
Let's call them problems.
Okay?
So we've had preaching, personal study, and problems.
I don't have to ask how many of you have had problems, but I do want to ask you this.
How many of you can look back and see how God used trials to mature you and make you more and more like Christ?
Does anyone see that in your life?
Amen.
He uses trials.
Okay, we'll be back.

When you start a business, one of the hardest parts is getting the money.
I hope, of course, that you bootstrap your business, which means using your own internal funds and spending as little money as possible.
However, some businesses do require a lot of money.
and the typical way to get that money is to go into what's called the Angel network and get money from an angel.
They are exactly what they sound.
Someone that drops from heaven and gives you 100,000, a million dollars to start your business.
This week we're going to talk about how to do that, how to raise money from an angel.
I'll give you a first suggestion right after this.

Remember how we felt.
felt the lie I remember you Welcome back to JustForm Talk Radio, I'm your host, Craig Chase.
Hour two, but we're going to finish this sermon from evangelist Rich Tozier, and then we will get into the news.
So let's finish the sermon here.
Okay, now I want to finish with a simple little illustration.
I've got a little fork here, and it is a little one because I needed one with three times, so they're going to put a picture up here because I knew you wouldn't be able to see this, okay?
But I chose this charcuterie fork, this hors d'oeuvre fork, because a lot, most forks have four prongs on them, okay?
But I made three points, preaching, personal study, and promise.
And I'll illustrate.
the four prongs started breaking off.
In the last month, I've been with a couple of different pastors and, you know, a typical man, if the point breaks off, what do we do?
We just keep going until you gotta go back and get one, right?
Okay.
Let me illustrate this way.
God wants to work through preaching, personal study, problems, but what if you're not having personal devotions?
Let me break that one off there.
You're not having quiet time.
So now you've left God two options.
Hmm.
What if you're hearing preaching, but you never make any decisions based on it.
I have one friend who says desires without decisions are just wishful thinking.
You never make a response to preaching.
So let me you're hearing it, but you're not a doer.
What's left?
There's preaching and there's personal study.
Well, those you've taken out of God's hands, so what have we got left?
Problems.
Some people say, brother, why do I have so many problems?
I'm not saying if you have devotions and if you respond to preaching, you won't have any problems.
No, Jesus says, in the world you'll have tribulation.
But I want to tell you, I think some of us have exasperated our problems.
We've intensified the problems because that's all we've given God to work with.
What a blessing it would be for you and me if we would take the triumvirant of preaching, personal study, and problems, and let God work all three to perfect us.
You know, there is in target practice something in the center of a target.
It doesn't matter if it's riflery or archery or slingshot.
What do we call the red mark in the middle there?
The bullseye.
Does a marksman hit the bullseye every time?
No, but that is the goal, isn't it?
Interesting, when the Lord said, Be perfect, that's the bullseye.
Interesting, theologically, the word sin means to miss the mark.
Interesting.
He said, I'm writing to you that you sin not.
I want you to hit the bullseye.
Now, if any man sin, if we get off target, we have an advocate with the Father, if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us.
But the goal is to get back on target, and the goal is then be perfect.
And how does God do it?
He perfects through preaching, personal study, and problems.
Are you cooperating with God in allowing him to perfect you.
Let's bow our heads together.
You listened great.
Thank you for your good attention.
Father, I pray that you will use the truths to transform us.
The preacher can only proclaim the word.
I can't save anybody.
I can't change anybody.
All I can do is tell them what you say.
But dear Holy Spirit, I depend on you.
You are God.
You are the Spirit of truth.
You are the sanctifier.
You are the one who reproves the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment.
You said you would exalt the Lord Jesus Christ.
Savior, you're the only way anybody can come to the Father.
Father in heaven, please do your work in heaven.
in each person here according to their individual need.
Amen.
That was evangelist Rich Tozier at Front Range Baptist Church over the weekend in his sermon, Nothing Less Than Perfect.
And I love that.
That, you know, the final message in that sermon really does speak to where I think we should all try to be as Christians, which is constantly in the word.
constantly being doers of the word, not just hearers.
And that's not to say that we won't face affliction because oftentimes through affliction we find our closest relationship with God, but it's to say that, as he put it, if you're not doing those other things, then what other way does God have to reach you other than by through affliction?
So I thought that was a great sermon, and I hope you guys enjoyed it.
Let's get into the news though, you know.
But before we do, I do want to take a second and thank one of our sponsors, our good friends over at godsfeedingstation.org.
It's a great online ministry that's 100% free, free to use and available 24/7 365.
They also have an app called God's Feeding Station at whatever app store service is your smartphone or device.
They have Bible studies, daily devotionals and other scripture-based content, which are all available to you anytime.
And it's another great way to stay in the word.
You know, talk about what we just heard in that about being in the word every day.
That's one of the reasons I'm so thankful to be partnered up with the great ministry at God's Feeding Station, because it is a way for you to be in the word every day.
And it's great to have a church.
It's great that you go to a place, perhaps on Sundays or other days throughout the week and you work with them, volunteer, get, you know, learn and get the great preaching and great fellowship.
But it's also good to have a resource for you to use every single day so that you can stay in the word.
So I encourage everybody out there to check it out.
godsfeedingstation.org.
It's a wonderful ministry and we're thankful to be partnered up with them.
Okay.
So we're about to hit a break in a minute here and we'll take a quick break, come back and get into some of the news stories.
But you know, the big story from the week.end, of course, is President Trump meeting Vladimir Putin, the Russian president in Alaska.
This was, you know, a huge summit.
Not much, not many details really coming out of the conversation so far, at least that I've seen.
You know, general vague vagaries, as they say, would have been the most we've gotten so far.
The media though has taken this again as an opportunity to just manipulate the public opinion in a negative way because they hate Trump and they don't want.
him to find any success, even if his success means our success as a nation, which is sad, but it's the reality we live in.
So we'll break all that down.
Also some interesting, strange things happening from Hillary Clinton praising Trump to James Comey, the former FBI director, going on a very, rather unhinged rant about COVID and Taylor Swift.
So you're going to want to hear that when we come back.
You're listening to Justin Form talk radio.

Welcome back to Just Forum Talk Radio.
I'm your host, Craig James.
And before we get into the news, I want to take a second and let you know about another one of our sponsors, our good friends over at Houston, which is now better than ever.
It's satellite internet built for rural America.
They have faster speeds up to 100 megabits per second and unlimited data.
But beyond that, one of the things that I really think is awesome about this internet service is that it is reachable.
is that it is reliable.
This is backbone infrastructure, internet.
This is the kind of internet that banks, hospitals and other places use and depend on because it's very reliable.
When other internet services may not come through, this will definitely have a good chance of being there when you need it.
And what do I mean by that?
Well, not only is it great for rural America because that's what it's sort of built and tailored to is if you're in the more rural parts of the front range of Colorado, Colorado.
here you can have access to internet but beyond that again it's reliable infrastructure internet so if you're looking for perhaps a new service or more or a more reliable backup auxiliary secondary service just like you would have a backup generator for power or emergency food supply.
This is the kind of thing that you would like to have on hand because information is just as valuable as anything else in any sort of natural disaster or emergency scenario.
So that's another reason why I think it's definitely something worth looking into.
So call our friends over to Lead Electronics, your local HughesNet retailer.
Their number is 970 712 5280.
Again, write this number down 970 712 5280.
and let them walk you through what it looks like getting that service installed today.
HughesNet, satellite internet built for rural America.
Okay, so we were talking about the Trump situation and we'll get into some of those other stories as well.
You know, the Comey thing, I don't even know.
It seems like these people are losing their minds, but that's to be expected.
But back to Trump and Putin.
They met in Alaska over the weekend.
The fake news didn't like that.
You know, one thing that you know is that regardless of how this.
meeting went, whether it was in Alaska or it was in Washington, DC or it was in Moscow or it was in some presumably neutral state territory, they could have had this thing in Kiev and Ukraine, it wouldn't have mattered.
The media had a narrative that they have already drawn up.
They've already sold this idea that Trump is some kind of Russian asset.
And when that failed, and as that's failed, they've now switched to Trump's a stooge for Putin who's being pla this master manipulator and Trump's just being worked over like a dummy, which is rather hilarious, but that's what they're trying to sell.
So we're watching this and we knew that there was going to be a scripted sort of take on it, that it was going to be, you know, orange man bad, you know, Russian man bad, everybody's bad, this is all bad.
But it was kind of interesting.
So Trump rolls out the literal red carpet for Putin who shows up in Alaska.
They arrive to a beat.
A B two bomber with a four fighter jet escort flying overhead, catching Putin off guard.
People were very, you know, enamored with that online, I guess would be a way to put it.
They were very pleased, many were.
They were saying things like, oh, he totally owned Putin by flying a B two bomber over his head.
Which, yeah, it's kind of cool.
I mean, I don't know.
I've seen, I don't know if you've seen B two bombers in, you know, your day to day life, but it is rather cool.
I remember one of the craziest stores I ever had not to get off on a tangent here, but this is like probably one of the craziest things is, well, I've had actually several crazy interactions with fighter jets and bombers.
For some reason or the other, I have these crazy stories, but this is one that stands out.
I was driving on the highway and I was driving in California and I was driving east out of the state.
We were going, I think, we were heading to Colorado or New Mexico somewhere in that regard.
And we were driving out leaving Bakersfield, driving out past Barstow there.
You know, if you ever leave that area, you know, you gotta drive down the high down the highway and you're out in the desert and Barstow is where that big, I think it's a marine base and there's an air force base.
There's a bunch of military bases out there, right?
And we're driving on the highway and it's this remote, remote highway in the desert, not many cars on the road.
And I'm driving and I'm looking up in the sky and there's something off in the distance and I'm like, what is that?
You know, I can barely see it.
It looks from far away, it looked like a bird or something, like a big bird.
But then as it gets closer, I realize, whoa, that's not a bird.
That's a giant plane, right?
And I'm driving down this highway heading east, and this plane is flying west, and it is coming, like, directly over the road.
And it gets close enough where I look up and I realize, and there were other people in the car at the time, so I said, that's a B-2 stealth bomber.
And what it was doing was simulating a, I'm assuming, because I mean, this is what it looked like, it looked like it was simulating an approach for a bombing run over this highway in the middle of the desert.
So it was basically, you know, lining up like it was going to be dropping bombs on the highway.
is what it seemed like it was doing.
And I just remember it was one of the most awe inspiring and simultaneously mildly disturbing things I ever saw because I'm driving on this highway in the middle of the desert and I got a B two bomber that's squarely lined up over like right in my path and it's doing a simulated bombing run over the highway that I'm driving on.
So it is sort of an awe inspiring thing when you see it and it is sort of like what Trump did to Putin at that meeting with the B2 flying over in such a way, it was kind of, I mean, it was sort of an alpha move, if you will, but I'm not going to say that, like, that you think there was any threat really there?
I mean, were they going to bomb the president or strategically pull a Soleimani and launch one of those axe bombs at Putin while he's standing there, you know, two feet away from Trump?
I don't think so.
So it just was one of those things where, you know, it was more symbolic than anything else.
And I thought that was cool.
And of course, you know, they went and they'd had a press conference and made remarks and There are some pretty funny memes coming from it all of Putin reacting to the media and how they operate, which is to be expected, I guess, at this point.
But it is funny though, because now I'm not saying this is a good thing necessarily, but you can see that Putin's taken back by the level of like disrespect the media has for the office of the president.
Do you know what I mean?
Now granted, in Russia, if you yelled at Vladimir Putin and you were a member of the press and you screamed at him and made insults at him or asked him questions that were mocking or anything like that, you may subsequently thereafter trip and fall out of a window from a high building by accident, of course, with no surveillance evidence of how it happened.
But I'm not saying that that's a good thing remotely at all, but I am saying that.
it is funny to see the culture shock there.
And I don't know that Putin throws everybody out of windows.
I mean, maybe former KGB agents who do bad things, they fall out of windows often, more often than any other way of dying, it seems.
But it does seem to me that, you know, it was funny to watch that culture shock and difference there a little bit.
Apparently the meeting went well.
had some interesting discussions.
Trump hinted that there were a couple of key issues that are really the main factors in holding up the cessation of hostilities and the, you know, basically brokering of peace.
One could imagine that those are, at least one of those are probably, you know, which pieces of land will remain in Russia's possession subsequently after, you know, subsequent to the end of hostility and and who is willing to you know relinquish those.
Zelensky of course is not willing to relinquish any pieces of land.
He's now claiming a day before this meeting that's taking place in the White House, he basically has come out and said that Ukraine's constitution makes ceding land to Russia impossible.
So yesterday, Zelensky told reporters that Ukraine's constitution makes ceding land to Russia impossible, and this is all prior to the talks that are occurring right now in Washington, D.C. According to the Ukrainian constitution, there should have been elections last year as well, but I don't think Zelensky minds that they canceled those.
So, you know, it's kind of the irony of him citing the constitution as a reason that he can't negotiate peace while simultaneously ignoring the constitution in remaining the dictator and canceling elections is rather ironic.
But what are you going to do?
You know, I mean, it's kind of like one of those things where you're watching this all unfold and you're thinking to yourself, there are so many factors in as to why I've said it before.
It's not necessarily that Zelensky doesn't want peace.
I mean, but he probably doesn't because again, he knows his fate post war.
Heinous, horrible things were done.
He is probably not going to fare too well.
The one thing probably keeping him alive right now is this war.
Unfortunately, it seems.
So that is probably why he's all for keeping the war going, among other things, not to mention the pressure from European nations who see Ukraine as both a buffer state to keep Russia on the move east, as it were, or west, I guess.
Well, no east.
Yeah.
Back, keep them from moving toward Europe.
But also, you know, you have the fertile farmland, the natural resources, you have the space like the bread basket., part of the bread basket of Europe there that supplies, you know, whoever controls that land is going to have a huge amount of control of the future of Europe and the future of, you know, Eurasia as a whole to a degree.
So not to mention, you know, the Europeans not wanting the Russians to gain their warm water ports and gain more access to trade and things that would strengthen their position to continue to expand.
They still have a phobia or a fear of Russian, you know.
the re-establishment of the new Soviet Union, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera, not to mention Ukraine as a breeding ground for trafficking of human trafficking, human experimentation, the bio labs.
I mean, you name it, Ukraine, the money laundering, I mean, the amount of corporate takeover that's going to happen in Ukraine, BlackRock and others, their interests are at stake there as well.
There is a huge amount, there are a huge amount of factors that are playing in all this, but today, Trump and Zelensky.
are meeting at the White House along with a cadre of European leaders who are going to basically, I think, be very interested A to hear what was discussed between Putin and Trump in Alaska, but B most likely are going to be lobbying Trump to keep the war going,
keep funding, you know, the Ukraine, the Ukrainians to keep fighting against Putin, to not broker a peace deal, or at least to not broker a peace deal that doesn't wildly and heavily favor the US and European interests, and that is basically an impossible deal anyway.
So stay tuned, we have more to come.

Okay, so getting back to what's happening here in Russia with Russia, Trump, Putin, Zelensky, Ukraine, et cetera, it is interesting that the narrative was already framed and you know,
it's like you could set your clock to it at this point with the way that the narrative was going to be played out that Trump is, you know, welcoming dictators to American soil, playing right into the dastardly Putin's hands and so on and so forth.
But ultimately, I mean, if we take Trump's remarks and his, you know, what he says at face value, right?
All he said is, I want to broker a peace.
I would like to keep people from being slaughtered.
Right?
And he's been trying to do this in many different places.
He's brokered a lot of peace deals.
And you know what's funny is that.
the new sort of way of explaining all of this away is that the fake news and the left are coming out and they've really focused grouped a lot of these talking points and tried to really hone them in.
So now they're saying, well, Trump's not really brokering peace deals.
He's just getting countries to agree to peace deals under threat of tariff, which is, you know, a tantamount to like extortion.
And, you know, this is not how peace deals should be made.
And I guess my question is, well, how, you know, if you get a negotiated peace regardless of how it's achieved or attained and it's presumably one that can last, why do you care how it was attained?
And to further, you know, sort of give you an idea of how crazy this all is, this is a talking point crafted by the left who, I mean, for how long have the Democrats been the party of, you know, beat nick hippies, holding up peace signs, you know, saying, Make love not war, man, you know?
And now these very people.
people are the ones who have somehow had their entire world shifted so incredibly that now they're the ones, you know, fighting for the FBI, fighting for the corrupt establishment, fighting for the military-industrial complex to be able to keep bombing, you know, innocent people and, and, you know, these kids in countries that they've never heard of.
or couldn't find on a map if you gave them a hundred bucks.
It's just, it's so ironic, but it shows you how great the powers that be have become at manipulation and propaganda and deception and, you know, this programming that people have allowed themselves to be indoctrinated with.
I mean, I think part of it is too, it's a huge part of it is Hollywood and media, the media that people consume, you know, a lot of these TV shows and movies are crafted to portray things.
a reality that doesn't exist, which then, again, we talk about predictive programming and that kind of deceptive way of prepping and desensitizing minds, it really is happening in real time now.
And this is a great example with the Russia-Trump meeting being portrayed as a bad thing.
I mean, the fact that you're able to have a conversation with your enemy, particularly the enemy, an enemy that has one of the world's largest nuclear arsenals, by the way, the fact that that can be portrayed as a bad thing, and I'm not even going to get into like, you know, Hillary Clinton pushing the reset button with the Russians.
I'm not going to get into, you know, George HW Bush hosting Vladimir Putin at the, I think at the White House.
I'm not even going to get into Clinton and Bush and Schumer and, and I think Schumer and Putin had a thing in New York at one point.
I mean, Putin's been a fixture in Western political, you know, propaganda, if you want to call it that, for a long time.
And they've had many opportunities, both sides of the aisle have had many, at many points hosted the Russian president leader.
and this has not been as controversial as they try to make it today.
But again, they don't want to tell you the truth.
That's the whole, you know, the rub of the whole thing here is basically, hey, the media just wants you to hate Trump.
They want to get rid of Trump.
been programmed themselves to hate Trump.
Probably don't know why or if they have reasons they're not even founded on anything factual.
They're just founded in some kind of, you know, vague.
I mean you factor those two things together and many of these people that's why they've just adopted this I don't like Trump, I hate Trump because it's fashionable, cool or I just don't want to face any pressure or backlash for my beliefs.
And then there are the ideologues, the ideologically driven, you know, zealots who hate Trump for a number of reasons that they think are valid, which is fine.
Fine, you're entitled to your opinion, but the media serves to brainwash us.
This whole thing happening in Russia is definitely going to have Ukraine play a huge factor in it all.
But this is what Trump said about the fake news.
I want to read this to you.
He put up a post.
He said, The fake news has been saying for three days that I suffered a major defeat, quote unquote, by allowing President Vladimir Putin of Russia to have a major summit in the United States.
Actually, he would have loved doing the meeting anywhere else.
But the U.S. and the fake news knows this.
It was a major point of contention.
If we had the summit elsewhere, the Democrat run and controlled media would have said, What a terrible thing that was.
These people are sick.
They even want crime in DC and other blue cities throughout our country.
But don't worry, I won't let that happen.
Just like our new secure southern border, zero illegals in the last three months, our cities will be secure and safe and DC will lead the way.
Trump said that in a true social post on Sunday.
Is he lying though?
I don't know about zero illegal crossings in the last three months.
I want to fact check that one, but I think everything else was right on.
So there you go.
Stay tuned, folks.
We got more to come.

Hi, this is Joe Jaquin, owner of the Patriot Trading Group.
I'm sure you're probably aware of the reputations of many of the precious metals dealers here in the Front Range.
I talk to customers all the time that know gold and silver are strong investments, that they are a hedge against a volatile economy.
But these customers don't know where to buy gold and silver and are very justifiably concerned that they'll get ripped off.
So I want to make you this promise.
At Patriot Trading Group, there are no commissioned salespeople.
We don't make outbound phone calls.
We don't try to upsell you into some scam or package that we've created.

to keep going.
And now I want to kind of give you the...
John Bolton of all people, you know, we've heard a lot about John and his, you know, explanations.
You know, he's got this 10-year of working in the government, obviously, you know, heavily tied to the neocon establishment and the deep state, if you will.
He's been doing his rounds on CNN bashing Trump in this meeting because, of course, that's his job.
That's why he exists is to, you know, basically spend his waking hours lambasting Trump, right?
For his ineptitude, I guess.
But John Bolton, here he is on CNN.
Listen to this.
Trump did not lose, but Putin clearly won.
Trump didn't come away with anything except more meetings.
Putin has, I think, gone a long way to reestablishing the relationship, which I've always believed was his key goal.
He has escaped sanctions.
He's not facing a ceasefire.
The next meeting is not set.
Zelenskyy was not told any of this before this press conference.
It's far from over.
But I'd say Putin achieved most of what he wanted.
Trump achieved very little.
First of all, I'm not sure Putin's avoiding the sanctions all that well.
Pretty sure that we've still sanctioned them to like oblivion and it's kind of backfired a little bit.
So I don't know what more sanctions would necessarily do.
Putin has mobilized a wartime economy, he has basically converted a huge portion of the manufacturing in Russia to weapons manufacturing, building up arsenals for war, which I'm not sure.
I mean, John Bolton seems to think that's a good idea.
And I guess if you are a neocon asset of the military industrial complex.
and your job is to make sure that, you know, defense contractors have, you know, big blank checks from the, you know, NDAA, the National Defense Authorization Act, or is the National Defense Authorization Act, whatever the military budget is, which is almost a trillion dollars now, right?
It's like 750 billion or something in that realm, something ridiculous.
Then, yeah, I guess you would want Trump not to talk to Putin.
You would want Putin to keep making more weapons to keep fighting this war so that, you know, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Palantir, whoever, get blank checks indefinitely at the American taxpayer's, you know, cost.
I guess, just guessing, I don't know.
Here's another little interesting sound clip, a sound bite of John Bolton.
Let's listen to this.
It certainly sounds like there was something, but the fact they wouldn't announce it says it can't be very substantial.
I think, Abby, the answer to your question is there is no White House decision making.
It's just whatever they want to do.
It's hard under Trump under the best of circumstances.
I can attest to that.
And I think today it broke down completely.
When you say there's no White House decision making process, you mean it's just whatever President Trump is thinking in that moment.
Oh, wow.
So the executive, the chief executive, the commander in chief of the United States military, the guy that the American people voted for en masse to be the decision maker at the White House.
He's the guy who makes the decisions.
I mean, John Bolton, I can see how that would be rather annoying to a guy like John Bolton who says there's no White House decision making process, meaning Susan Rice and Valerie Jared and, you know, the and Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries, and they don't have a choice at the White House as to what decisions are made, how the decision making.
You know, it's like, I don't know if these people hear themselves when they speak, and I don't know if the people watching, I mean, CNN have an inability to clearly understand what's being implied here, but what's clearly being implied is that Trump is doing what we elected him to do, therefore it's bad.
because he's not doing what we didn't elect him to do, to not do.
I'm losing myself in all of this, but let's continue on.
These are just classic gems from Bolton here.
The mood in Russia after this is going to be close to euphoric.
I think in the United States it's going to be confused.
I think in Europe and Ukraine it's going to be very depressed.
The mood in Russia is euphoric.
The mood in Washington is confused.
And the mood in Europe and Ukraine is depressed.
That sounds like a script for a new Disney or Pixar movie about John Bolton's emotional state.
I don't know.
I mean, like, you could really take a second here and just laugh at this, but again, this is what people are consuming via the media.
used to be half the country, but far less now.
But there's a large portion of the people in this country who listen to this and go, John's got some great points there.
Yeah, that dang president.
making decisions as an executive.
I mean, and I don't want the Europeans and the Ukrainians to be depressed and sad.
And boy, now I feel sure confused now that John Bolton told me to feel confused.
Finally, here's John Bolton.
Putin convinced him on certain things that were essential to Zelensky, that Trump was being told, you got to advance Zelensky's agenda on this.
And Putin convinced him that that was not right, possibly on the question of the security guarantees, that he was just very clear on that.
But I think Putin really got what he wanted from Trump.
And if Trump had been irate, he would have called things off.
Putin has gotten to him.
I think that's Yeah, Putin has gotten to him, guys.
He's a Russian asset again.
And not only that, you know, it's so funny, he's like, Putin really convinced him to do what Putin wants and not do what another foreign leader from another foreign country wants.
How do we do what's best for America, John?
How about that?
Okay, stay tuned.
We're coming back.
Praise for praise.
Awesome.

I'm your host, Craig James.
This is our final segment.
Yeah, time flies.
That's true.
Always flies when we're having fun.
We are.
But I guess we'll have to save the James Comey COVID Taylor Swift rant for tomorrow, which you're going to want to to hear that.
We'll talk about that and a whole lot more in tomorrow's show.
But I want to thank everybody for joining us.
Thank you guys.
Really do appreciate it.
And we're going to leave you with some encouragement in the scripture.
And, you know, we listened to that great sermon earlier today.
And I really did enjoy what the final message was in it, right?
And it was that we must focus on the fact that And we have to have time in scripture.
That's why I make time in every one of these shows to go to scripture, not just because it's important to leave you guys with some hope and encouragement take with you into the day as I always like to do but because taking time to be in scripture every day is taking time that you can give to God to let him work in you and through you and I want to leave you with this this verse because the third part of that message was if you neglect those first two things then you
may have an affliction that comes to get you closer to God and that may be the only way God can get to you and it's not that you're not going to have affliction when you do those first two things because you will but it's that if you take away those two things, then that might be the only way that God reaches you.
But if you are facing affliction today if you are going through a tough time, I want to share James chapter one, verse two through four.
Consider it a great joy, my brothers, whenever you experience various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance, but endurance must do its complete work so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.
And another interpretation I think has complete as perfect, I believe, right?
So remember in your life.
You're going to face affliction.
There's going to be difficulties.
But one way to get ahead of it all for that time, prepare yourself and prepare yourself by being a doer of the word, not just a hearer, and taking time each day to go to Scripture.
And I tell you right now, I'm in Scripture almost every day.
Well, every day, but I should be better about it, more diligent, because there may be one day a week where I kind of don't do it.
And that's my own confession there.ion there, but I try.
And I'm telling you right now, remember, be doers of the word and not hearers only.
Make sure you take time to focus on Scripture and remember that when you face affliction, it will produce endurance.
Okay.
That's where we're going to leave it.
I want to thank you all.
Thanks to the we'll be back tomorrow, God willing, do all over again.
Thank everyone in the audience.
We'll see you on the next one.
Until then, I'm your host, Craig James, this is Just Forum Talk Radio.
We'll see you tomorrow.
