Flowers Foods says it's seeing softness in traditional loaf sales in a more competitive environment.

Flowers Foods is headquartered in Georgia, but its bakeries are located across the U.S. United Health shares are up 11% this morning, giving a boost to Dow Futures.
Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway sold shares in Apple in recent months and added United Health shares.
Intel shares up more than 2.5% following reports that Intel and the Trump administration are discussing the possibility of the U.S. government taking a financial stake in Intel.
Wall Street will be reacting today to retail sales numbers for July.

Hunter Goodman hit a pinch hit two-run home run in the top of the ninth inning, and the Rockies rallied to beat the St. Louis Cardinals 6-5.
The Rockies trailed 5-2 heading into the sixth inning with a Nikki Modiak home run, a Braxton-Fulford sacrifice flight, and the Goodman home run.
The Rockies rallied for a road victory.
Colorado starting pitcher Austin Gomber went five innings, giving up nine hits in five-earned runs.
He struck out two and walked one in the no decision.
With the win, the Rockies improved to 32 and 88.
The Broncos are back home Saturday night as they host the Arizona Cardinals.

We're going to get into some of these news stories.
President Trump heading to Russia as we speak, flying out on Air Force One.
So he's going to be meeting with the leader of Russia.
And, you know, today may be one of those days where the chaos ensues, but we'll have to wait and see.
Before that, though, we got to take a minute and welcome onto the show our good friend, co-host, Benghazi whistleblower, U.S. Air Force Veteran, Military Intelligence Insider.

How are you doing today?
I am doing fantastic, Craig.
We got some really fun things to learn about today.
Talk to the audience about some meetings with Putin, the significance of that, and Melania, you know, his beautiful wife, first lady.
There's a lot of information about her and her history and why she'd be offered this gift that she'll be receiving today that we'll talk about.
Yeah, not to mention she's come out saying she's going to sue Hunter Biden for a billion dollars.
So that'll be interesting to see how that plays out.
We'll get into some of those stories along with our guest in the second hour as well.
We'll introduce him a little more properly at that point.
But Rick Adante is going to be joining us, a whistleblower who exposed some very seedy things happening at universities in Florida or at a university in Florida where they were trying to continue the DEI practices.
He worked with James O'Keeffe for O'Keefe Media Group, blowing the whistle on that.
So we'll bring him on in the second hour, and I'm looking forward to it.
I think it's going to be a great conversation.
So that'll be fun.

But here we are.
We're in the first hour, which means we're going to cover the news.
As we said before, President Trump currently flying across the nation into Alaska to meet with President Vladimir Putin.
This is going to be an interesting meeting or summit, whatever you want to call it.
And I think, you know, a lot of people are reading into this a lot of different, many different things.
And there are some simple takeaways.
But the fake news, you know, I don't know that they know how to deal with this, but I can tell you this right now.
One of the things that's really disturbing about all this, and, you know, sort of it was almost expected is that last night, as this summit was getting ready to, you know, come to its conclusion here, or as it was about to begin, I should say, Ukraine launched one of its largest drone attacks on Russia.
And, I mean, this is a massive drone attack on all fronts.
And, you know, it's almost like they're trying to disrupt the peace process intentionally.
And I don't know.
Sounds a lot like Israel.
Yeah, and, you know, this is very similar to what happened before when there was basically every time there have been a push, there's been a push toward peace talks or some sort of ceasefire agreement, you know, this kind of thing happened.
I remember the last time we were at this moment in time, this stage in the process of, you know, constructing peace, almost an identical thing happened.
They were about to sit down and discuss peace talks with Russia, and there was, you know, talk of, you know, negotiating some kind of contrition where or contritions with land and ceding territory to Russia to basically broker this peace.
And Russia, or excuse me, and Ukraine launched one of its largest attacks.
So like clockwork, of course, they do the exact same thing here.
And you know, you look at this and you think to yourself, do they not want peace?
And the answer, I think, categorically is yes.
The Ukrainians are not acting of their own volition.
A, you know, Zelensky has a few things that I would imagine he's considering.
A, any contrition, any, you know, piece of land that's sort of given in this negotiation, he will be blamed for losing by his own people.
A, so he has that, you know, sort of firing squad he's facing at home.
But then, moreoverly, I mean, you have NATO and the EU, and they see this as a proxy war against Russia for the resource wealth of Ukraine, and they don't want to give up a single, you know, a single acre of that.
So they're not willing to allow this peace talk to go.
And Trump's trying to basically shoehorn this peace deal in despite, or in spite of the efforts of pretty much all the parties involved in the Ukraine and Europe.
So this is a very interesting situation.
We'll see how these peace talks go because these are preliminary peace talks, really.
The first talks between Russia and the United States, then there's going to be a subsequent talk with Ukraine, Russia, and the United States, apparently.
And I don't know if that's going to be postponed or, you know, canceled after this attack.
But Nick, what are your general thoughts on this conflict here that we're seeing in the peace talks that are ahead?
The attack that you're describing, Craig, was they were using like Cessna planes, basically.
They were loaded up with explosives.
And what they did is they wrecked them into apartment buildings where people lived, civilians.
They are terrorizing Russia.
What they're doing is illegal.
It's against the Geneva Convention.
So those are war crimes.
Whoever ordered those orders needs to be hung in a public square after a fair trial.
And that's the end of that.
You know, that needs to stop right now.
Attacking civilians should never be allowed.
Israel, Ukraine, it needs to be stopped right away, especially in Syria right now.
Christians are being slaughtered, and the people coming in are from Israel, and they're just killing them and taking their stuff.
And then literally, and the ones that don't resist, they filmed it.
I watched one of the films, where they're taking all their stuff and they just kind of push the families out of the way and then take all, you know, move their stuff into their house and then they take all of their things.
It's like, what am I watching here?
Why is this happening?
Why, you know, in America, you know, when we see that stuff, we're usually the first people to kick in their doors for the people doing those things.
And that's we're somehow on their side.
So I'm glad that Putin is coming to talk and negotiate.
And I find it odd that he is, in fact, negotiating in a place that is on 17th Street in Alaska.
All right, it's on 17th Street.
Are we sure about this?
I want to fact-check that because that can't be right.
That has to be some internet rumor.
Well, let's check.
Let's check on that.
Because we're saying that the meeting that's going to take place in Russia or in Alaska between Trump and Putin is on 17th Street in a place called the Q building or Q1 or something.
And I don't know.
We're going to take the break here.
We'll fact-check that over the break because I want to make sure that that's true.
Because if it is, again, it's just another coincidence that you should disregard and ignore because there's nothing there.
And if it isn't, then disregard and ignore it anyway.

So, Nick, did we even were we able to fact-check that over the break?
What did you get on it?
Yes, it's at the Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson in Anchorage.
The dignitary meeting house on that base just happens to be known as the Q and Q1 in some local circles because it is called Quarters One.
And of course, it's located on 17th Street, the same place where Nixon met Emperor Hirokito in 1971.
Dang.
Well, again, that's a coincidence, and we should completely disregard it.
And you're probably one of those.
You know, I hate that word, but you know, Alex Jones uses all the terms: the Q-Tards.
The Q-Tards believe this.
I can't believe the Q-Tards are saying that.
You know, and God bless Alex Jones.
I don't mean like, I've, you know, I'm not trying to pick on Alex.
You know, he's got enough problems of his own.
But it is kind of funny when he disregards everybody who believes in this sort of idea that there are good guys trying to do the right thing, as if that's like a bridge too far, given everything else we know, right?
Yeah, everything else we know.
But the last thing we really will see here, think about this.
During the middle of this meeting, you've got Ukraine attacking Russia with these drones.
They call them drones, but basically it's just Cessna's with GPS.
And what they're doing is running into apartment buildings.
They're blowing up people that are innocent to try and stop this meeting, Craig.
It's a crime, crimes against humanity, as usual from Ukraine and from, you know, Ukraine is run by Israel, mainly and the CIA.
So what is Happening now is an attack that needs to be dealt with accordingly.
And Putin's been very, very patient with all of this.
So I imagine that Putin, not Putin, Zelensky, after this attack here, there's probably not a safe place for him on this planet now.
And I really hope that we can get some peace and that he shows up for the peace deal if he can get there and make sure that something happens.
Even if he doesn't go, we're still going to have a peace deal.
So with or without him.
Go ahead.
I was just going to say, that's been one of my running theories that I've been working on the last little while.
And I've been kind of trying to think it out and kind of play it out in my head, wargame in a little bit.
But I do think that there's an incentive, like I was saying earlier in the show, there is an incentive for Zelensky to keep this war going because of a number of reasons when you think about it.
A, you know, you have to remember, he has suspended elections.
He has made himself basically president for life.
He has criminalized all political opposition to him and his party or whoever supports him.
He's, you know, criminalized religious parties, you know, or religious freedom, essentially, in his nation.
He's done everything the Democrats want to do in America, which is why they look at him like an idol and worship him and present him with golden statues like when Sean Penn came over and delivered him to Oscar or when Ben Stiller goes over there and like grovels and tells him how great he is.
So to me, and like you said, when this war ends, which it will, he is not going to be received as a hero in his own country for the things he did there or in any other country besides maybe Israel and maybe the liberal parts of America, maybe liberal parts of some of Europe.
But I mean, most of the world will recognize him for what he is, which is a war criminal.
And Russia, you know, it's going to be like that scene, the final scene from Sun of All Fears, where it's like, you know what I mean?
Where it's got that opera strong problem.
Russia takes care of their problems.
Yeah, like he's not going to farewell, it doesn't seem.
And that will probably be a part of the negotiation.
Like, they will want their whatever it is, their pound of flesh.
I mean, and they will get it, presumably.
And nobody's going to have a problem with it, really, other than some really weird people.
Because, like, again, look at what Zelensky's done.
I mean, he basically imposed martial law, criminalized political opposition, suspended elections.
I mean, he's in mandatory conscription, snatching people off the street and putting them on the front line to be meat ground, like in a meat grinder, to be murdered by the Russian military, which is far superior to the Ukrainians.
I mean.
Yes.
And then get this.
After he keeps sending him to the meat grinder, Craig, you know what he did?
He offered all of the Jewish people around the world to take their spots to come live there.
Did you know that?
No, but even beyond that, I mean, he's sitting there in his little palace sniffing his happy powder, cocaine, and just binging on Coke and tweaking during interviews.
So, I mean, look, I don't see there being an end for him that's good in any circumstance.
So, that's why, again, I mean, his life may literally depend on this war continuing, you know?
Russia poisoned one of their spies 10 years later, or 10 years, or five years later, or whatever.
You know, finally got to him.
You know, it's kind of a nice thing they did when they poisoned him that way.
So he had time to say goodbye to his family and stuff for the crimes he committed against his country.
That's where they give him the radioactive heavy metal stuff.
Yeah, so it gave him some time to say goodbye and stuff.
It was like a soldier's death is what they gave him, you know, not a assassination.
So, you know, I figured that if they do pursue Zelensky further, that he'll receive the same thing from them.
So I think that's how they'll handle it.
Yeah, or he'll fall out of a window or something.
Like every the number one cause of death for any former KGB spies or people who cross Russian, you know, who cross the Russians is, you know, tripping and falling out of a window from a tall building.
So I would probably stay away from tall buildings if I was that guy.
And I shouldn't worry about it.
But seriously, it's like, I don't know.
And they got that penthouse shit in the middle.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He's got that penthouse up in wherever.
I've seen some of the properties that Zelensky owns.
It's rather interesting.
I think he even has a pretty nice little mansion down in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, or Miami, somewhere down there.
But yeah, I mean, I don't know what's going to happen with all this.
I do know that one thing that's been my position from day one on the whole Ukraine-Russia issue is I don't, I'm not a Russian fan.
I don't like Russia particularly.
I don't think the world should try to emulate what Russia is doing, you know, in many different ways.
But there are a couple of regards where I think Russia's got a good idea of how they're operating as a Christian nation.
That's probably not a bad thing.
It probably wouldn't be a bad thing if we tried at least to have a strategic alliance with them, given that we're the two, one and two largest nuclear powers in the world.
You know, it would benefit us to have an ally that we could work with to have a better leveraging point against China.
Now, I don't necessarily trust Russian leadership politically as far as I could throw them, you know, from a foreign diplomacy standpoint, given the history.
But at the end of the day, I mean, we should be trying to at least have a negotiated peace.
And the funniest thing as well is, you know, watching the evolution of liberal Democrats over the last 10 years or so, Trump's Trump derangement syndrome that's been imposed upon them by the media and the gaslighting and the mass formation psychosis and everything else has broken their brains so badly now that these people are coming out being like,
oh, yeah, we got to kill the dictators and murder the, you know, and support all the military industrial complex corporations.
And, you know, we have to, we're going to nuke Russia.
And it's like, weren't these the people who were like talking about peace and, you know, we need to all get along.
And now when somebody tries to do peace, they've been, their brains have been broken so badly, they're like, they're anti-peace, you know?
That seems strange, right, Nick?
Yeah, they don't have the ability to think for themselves.
It's that critical bypass factor.
You know, these people have given away their agency and their humanity a long time ago.
It's like being, you know, some people fear, you know, death and I fear never truly living, Craig.
Well, that was very poetic.
Wow.
Nick, that was very eloquent.
Eloquent.
Elegant?
No, eloquent.
Anyway, you get what I'm saying.
So the point is, you know, whatever's going to happen at this deal at this thing, I don't know what it's going to look like, but I do know that we're going to be seeing a lot of it, and we could probably expect more things to happen similar to this drone attack, this massive drone attack, because they're definitely going to be trying to throw as many wrenches into this peace process as they can.
It serves all sides involved.
And you always wonder, why do the UK and France and all these European nations, why don't they want peace?
Well, A, because they want that fertile farmland.
B, because they want the natural resources, the wealth there with, you know, minerals and oil and gas.
C, they really don't want, they want to continue to push and take territory heading toward Russian, you know, the Russian border.
And, you know, the list goes on and on.
You could talk about the human trafficking.
You could talk about the biolabs and the human experimentation aspect of it.
You could talk about, you know, the threat to Russia that is posed by it all, the wealth that is amassed by the elites in Europe who have, you know, enriched themselves with the American corporate class and political class in Ukraine by exploiting their resource wealth.
I mean, again, the list goes on and on and on as to why they don't want this peace.
They don't want to give Russia access to warm water ports.
They don't want Russia to be able to lay claim to that much of the fertile farmland, which is going to be crucial for feeding an ever-growing population like we're seeing in Europe and the rest of the world, but particularly in Europe.
You know, they're going to need somewhere to grow their food.
And, you know, that is just, you know, the breadbasket of Europe really has always been Ukraine, right?
So.
Yeah, and as a matter of fact, it always has been Ukraine.
And Ukraine likes to send all of their, they do all of their trade to Russia.
And then we said, well, you know, we don't like that so much.
We're going to go ahead and kill everybody there, take their stuff, and make sure it goes to where we want.
Yeah, they ran a color revolution.
I mean, in the Maidan coup, which was clearly a U.S.-backed color revolution that was astroturfed in by Kolomoyski with, you know, Igor Kolomoyski, the billionaire who is backed by Israel and the United States, who, you know, astroturfs Zelensky in with this show, which was called, I think, Man of the People or something like that.
And, you know, in this TV show, this, you know, cocaine addict, actor, comedian, plays a plays the president of Ukraine who wins like in the same way Barack Obama wins in 2008.
And then next thing you know, they have a party in Ukraine that's named after the party that's in the show.
And then the actor who plays the president is the head of the political party.
And then he goes and wins this astroturfed election after there's a color revolution in the government that's pro-Russia is overthrown by U.S. and other intelligence.
It's like, you can't write this stuff, right?
It really is, it'd be too unbelievable.
Anyway, stay tuned.

Interestingly enough, there are so many different places we can go with some of these stories, but one of the places I want to go is Gavin Newsome.
So there's, you know, we talked about this briefly yesterday with the whole they're redistricting Texas and the Texas Democrat lawmakers fled the state and this has led to a big debate about gerrymandering and Democrats are clutching their pearls and you know really screaming at the top of their lungs about how this is rigging, you know, the elections and that this is going to create some sort of unfair imbalance.
And what is the funniest and most, of course, hypocritical thing of all is that the Democrats who are screaming about this have been gerrymandering nearly every one of these blue states to a point where it is so disproportionate in representation.
For instance, you have in California, which is where we're going to talk about Gavin Newsom, you have 40% of the state's electorate voting for Republicans and conservatives,
yet in Congress, because of the gerrymandering of that state and how it's been, you know, the districts have been drawn, they only receive about, I want to say it's 18% of the representation, right?
So you have 40% of the population represented by 18% of the legislative representation.
Well, that doesn't make a whole lot of sense, right?
And the same in New York and the same in some other, I think, Illinois.
And you look at across the board and you look at all there's so many Democrat states where there is zero representation in legislature in the federal legislative bodies for Republicans, even though the states have large conservative populations, right?
And this may be a similar phenomenon, but not as exaggerated in a place like Texas.
So Texas has decided to redraw its, redistrict its, you know, redraw its districts.
And this is a process the Democrats, again, have been doing for quite some time.
And in response, the Democrat legislature fled the state so that there could not be a quorum held.
And this has led to this national debate about, you know, is gerrymandering okay?
Well, the debate is actually, is gerrymandering okay when Republicans do it?
Because we've already got the overwhelming consensus from the fake news media is that it's totally fine and okay when, you know, Pritzker in Illinois or Newsom in California or whoever is running New York draws these ridiculous snake, you know, line districts to create this, again, disproportionate representation.
But when Republicans do it, it's like, well, you know, clearly they're not playing by the rules because the rules are, as everyone knows, Democrats can break every rule and, you know, lie about it and, you know, obfuscate any responsibility for it.
And if Republicans don't play by those rules that the Democrats are ignoring, then there's, you know, then there's a crisis of morality and integrity and fairness and you name it, constitutional crisis, right?
So we said that Gavin Newsom had written this letter yesterday.
We read the letter on air, basically telling Trump, hey, I'm going to redistrict California if you don't stop this thing in Texas.
Well, again, like we pointed out, California's already disproportionately redistricted to favor Democrats over Republicans.
But beyond that, now he had his press conference that he was warning he was going to have.
And it featured a bunch of Democrats like Adam Schiff and others.
And it's probably one of the most cringeworthy and hilarious things I've ever seen.

Okay, let's listen to some clips from it.
I mean, what is the ending?
Do you feel like you can win this?
We got to win.
I mean, democracy is counting on us.
I mean, the founding fathers did not live and die to see this moment.
And so there's just too much at stake.
we gotta win the founding fathers would be rolling over the graves if they didn't if I didn't gerrymander my state to give no representation to the conservative party And then here's another hilarious statement about Trump's third term that's impending doom for the Democrats.
About the fact that we're affirming our independent commission and we're calling for a national independent commission as well.
Well, I think it's pretty sick and pathetic.
And it's just said everything you need to know, the setting that we're under.
That they chose the time, manner, and place to send their district director outside right when we're about to have this press counter.
She said everything you know about Donald Trump's America.
And that was top-down.
You know that for a fact.
Okay, I got to explain this, though.
He's responding to the fact that there's a contingent of ICE agents that are outside of this rally, this press conference that he's holding, literally arresting the illegals who came there to support the gerrymandering of the state.
Nick, Nick, I swear this couldn't be staged as more of a comedy.
Like, how can you take Democrats seriously?
I mean, he's basically saying Trump's bad because the ICE agents showed up to arrest the illegal immigrants, illegal criminals, who are supporting this governor's attempt to gerrymander his state to redraw districts to basically strip all representation away from the actual citizens and the constituents in his or the electorate in his state.
I mean, the only thing the guy needs is a pitchfork and a tail sticking out his backside.
I mean, and horns coming out of his forehead for crying out loud.
Anyway, we'll get Nick's comments when we come back.

Okay, Nick, what do you think of Gavin Newsom's, you know, just generally with this whole thing?
It just seems so contrived and ridiculous.
I mean, he's being mocked by essentially both sides for this press conference because when you consider what the selling point is here, I saw this not too long ago.
His basic argument is like, well, I heard somebody say this, I think, on one of the news networks, but it actually rang true.
They're like, well, his argument is basically gerrymandering is evil.
And let me tell you why you should support my plan to gerrymander this state.
You know, it just doesn't make any sense unless you're a Democrat, in which you live in a world where logic just doesn't exist.
And, you know, you can hold these conflicting ideas simultaneously and nobody seems to notice.
Yeah, that's easy to do when you have no agency and no control over your own mind.
You don't question anything.
It doesn't matter because someone else is doing the thinking for you.
Oh, yeah, that works.
Yeah, that works too.
Wait, they're conflating.
Oh, no, it works.
They said it does.
Yeah, I mean, Brando's got electrolytes, right?
It's got what plants crave.
Plants crave electrolytes.
Ergo, Brando, is what plants crave.
I mean, that's the level of logic we're dealing with here.
Which, if anybody doesn't know, that's it.
Yeah, that's the lot.
That's from a famous line from the movie Idiocracy, which is sadly becoming more and more of a documentary with each passing year here.
So, yeah, I mean, you watch this play out and you listen to Gavin Newsom, and it's just you almost just have to sit there and laugh at the whole idea of it all.
I want to play the rest of that clip, though, of Gavin Newsom talking about this.
Die it, I'm sure.
Maybe they won't deny it.
And that was top-down.
You know that for a fact.
They'll deny it, I'm sure.
Maybe they won't deny it.
Said everything you know about the authoritarian tendencies of the president of the United States.
I said in a moment, wake up, America.
Wake up.
You will not have a country if he rigs this election.
You will have a president who will be running for A third term.
Mark my word.
I wasn't exaggerating when I said that I received in the mail a Trump 2028 hat from one of his biggest supporters.
These guys are not screwing around.
The rules do not apply to him.
The most corrupt president in history.
He doesn't believe in free enterprise, crony capitalism.
He is wrecking this country, wrecking the economy.
He's a lawless president.
Wake up, America.
Wake up to what's going on.
Did you hear that?
He doesn't believe in free enterprise, and he also doesn't believe in crony capitalism like Gavin Newsom does.
So, I mean, and the whole Trump 2028 hat that he got sent, that's just icing on the cake.
You know, chef's kiss to whoever sent him that hat because that is like the master of trolling.
This guy is so he, I think he either believes what he's saying, which means he's out of touch and ignorant and stupid, which is possible, or he knows or is counting on the fact that the people who watch him and listen to him are too stupid to understand that the Trump 2028 hats are literally a troll that's been, you know, out there since he won in 2024.
I think he put those hats out before he won the election in 24.
I mean, for crying out loud.
It's so stupid.
I mean, what do we do, Nick?
Well, I say Trump needs to invoke the, you know, he needs to get rid of habeas corpus and just go in there and arrest everybody because it's so corrupt that even the police, you know, the fire chiefs told their people to stand down and not let any water out during the Palisades fires and stuff.
They murdered people, Craig.
These people aren't just regular criminals.
They're murderers.
They're murderers.
You know, God knows what else they've done.
And they've gone unchecked.
Nobody has stopped them.
And then they gerrymander, gerry rig everything.
And then you got the on top of that, all the illegals that are being counted as regular citizens, thus stealing our voice.
And it's taxation without representation.
That should be enough for a revolution right there, Craig.
Yeah.
You should probably throw some tea in a harbor somewhere.

Well, Craig, there's a couple of them, but they're basically, you know, we got an Ohio State Representative Ismail Mohammed says the quiet part out loud that his goal is to elect Somalis across the United States and to unite to lobby for Somalia.
Yeah, that's a good idea.
This is a strange phenomenon.
I've been seeing this a lot lately.
These Democrats coming out and being like, we're fighting for the rights of, you know, insert foreign country.
It's like, what?
You do realize you're a U.S. representative.
You have your constituents are literally U.S. citizens.
Well, most Democrats are probably have a large portion of their constituents are illegals and citizens of other countries.
But regardless, it's like, again, it's like that guy, the guy that was saying, oh, whatever.
You know, he was appealing to the illegals.
What he was really doing there, Craig, when he was saying that before we left for the break, that guy was really saying, are you going to let them deport your family that did not come here legally like you?
Are you going to let them just take your family away?
Well, yeah, they need to come here legally and lawfully.
Yeah.
You know, in that appeal, what he's trying to do is pull on their heartstrings is to make people who are actual citizens commit felonies, which is, you know, an obscure, you know, stop ice.
That's a crime too in and of itself.
I mean, if there are people that are, you know what they need to do, Craig?
Well, they need to make it so that anybody that's, you know, a, let's say, naturalized citizen, for the first five years, they need to be monitored so that they're not sending messages to people telling them to illegally come here.
Because if they do, then they'll be deported and they lose their citizenship.
Maybe that should be something we do.
Maybe.
And beyond that, though, one of the best retorts I've ever heard to the compassion argument that the Democrats try to make all the time, like, oh, these are just families.
You're just, you're breaking apart families, et cetera, et cetera.
Tom Holman, I think, was the one who had this response.
But, you know, he was being grilled by some fake news reporter, and they were like, but what do you say to the accusation that you're just breaking up families and deporting innocent people?
And he goes, first of all, when you come to this country legally, you commit a crime.
You are a felon.
It is a felony to enter this country legally.
Second of all, we separate families every day.
If I go out and drink and drive and get into a car accident and kill somebody, I'm going to be torn away from my family and put in prison, most likely, for a long, long time.
And how is that any different than felons who come here who break the law to come here?
When you separate them, you are just, they're facing the punishment for a crime that they knew they were committing when they committed it.
You know?
So, I don't have, you know, I have like driving drunk with your kids.
Yeah.
Driving drunk with your kids.
They're going to take your kids from you because you're driving drunk with your kids in the car.
You shouldn't be surprised when you have their consequences for your actions.
That's all I'll say.

All right, it's hour two of the Durham Forum Talk Radio Show, and you know what that means.
We're actually going to be joined here by a very special guest, an individual by the name of Rick Adante.
Now, among other things, he's a neuroscientist, tenured professor, NASA mission crew, aviator, and author.
He's done a lot.
So we're very thankful to have him here with us.
But he's also done something interesting with O'Keeffe Media Group recently, exposing some very untoward practices within a university down there in South Florida.
So I'm going to go ahead and leave that as the introduction.
And welcome to the show, our good friend Rick Adante.
Rick, are you there?
Yes, sir.
How are you?
Thanks for having me.
Well, it's a pleasure to have you on.
We really appreciate you joining us.
And I know this was kind of set up through our good friend Nick No, and I'm really thankful to have you here on the show.
And Rick, I Want you to start by telling us a little bit about yourself and how you got into this whole situation with James O'Keefe and exposing what was happening down there at the Florida Institute of Technology.
Sure.
So, as you mentioned, I've been a tenured professor in the departments of psychology and biomedical engineering as a neuroscientist at the Florida Institute of Technology.
I've worked here for there for five years or so.
And so, we, as most workplaces do, we have a monthly meeting of our whole college and department.
And so, I was at this meeting, and basically, what happened was that the president came to our meeting and he informed us and recruited pretty much everyone, I guess, except me, to enlist in a conspiracy to defraud the taxpayers of Florida and the United States through federal funding as well,
to the tune of, at least to my calculation, $76 million by directly working against the requirements that prohibit using DEI to accept federal funds and state funds.
So, that is, he told us how he went to the office of Governor Ron DeSantis here in Florida in order to receive a $7 million grant and how they basically shook him down and said, Why are you guys so woke?
Showed him all this DEI stuff they have on the website of Florida Tech.
Smiled, nodded, took his meeting, went home, and he told us that he said, Why don't we fight back?
And so, he basically told us how they plan to subvert the governor of Florida and the federal government so that they can maintain the ability to take your tax dollars and use them for what they want to do, which is indoctrinate students into the discriminations of DEI and critical race theory that treats Americans differently based on protected classes of race, ethnicity, all that stuff that we're supposed to be free from.
And blew the whistle on it.
Connected with James O'Keefe, he published a story that went viral in April that reported that we have it on videotape.
And then I got fired as retaliation for reporting the truth.
They offered me $100,000 in hush money if I stayed quiet and promised not to sue them, but I refused.
I walked away with nothing, and except for the family of a couple small kids to feed.
But we have our integrity, we have the truth, and there's no price that someone can pay for that, at least not for our family.
Wow, that's an incredible story, and thank you for doing it.
Let me ask you a couple questions sort of related to, I guess, starting with the DEI stuff.
Now, you pointed out, and I think appropriately so, the fact that, you know, this is discriminatory, these practices they are by their nature, right?
If you're categorically saying that people are chosen primarily because of the color of their skin, that in and of itself is racial discrimination, right?
Yet, somehow, this is awful.
Pardon.
I said, It's also awful that we shouldn't be doing that.
Absolutely.
And it's something that the state of Florida with Ron DeSantis has taken a pretty hard stand against, rightfully so.
And you're sitting there as a professor when the president walked in, and this is a man by the name of President John Niclow.
When he came in and talked about, quote, tweaking the language in these DEI, you know, courses and, you know, sort of this idea that everybody was on the same page.
Do you think you're the only one sitting there going, hey, buddy, I'm not on this same page as you.
What are you talking about?
Or do you think you were the only one there?
Or do you think you were speaking from perhaps some other professors or other individuals that may have thought similarly to you, but were afraid of losing their jobs or retaliation or whatever the consequence may be for not going along with this?
What was your vibe on that in that regard?
Well, I can tell you this as a witness who participated in the meeting.
So one of the things that the university issued, frankly, a really dumb press release immediately after as a media reaction is they tried to deny that O'Keefe's story was true and accurate because they said it was selectively edited or out of context.
I can tell you as a witness who was present, it was not out of context at all.
It exactly and truthfully represents that context, and the context is what you're asking about.
What's the vibe of the other people who are in the room?
And it was almost exclusively supportive of the president in joining as co-conspirators to defraud the citizens of Florida for not just the $7 million that he referred to at meeting with the governor's office on, but also in.

And I got to apologize, Rick.
I should have probably warned you that we do have commercial breaks.
So it was a little bit of an abrupt cutoff there to where you were at.
And I would like for you to please pick up from where you left off because you were making a great point.
And I did not mean to cut you off there, but we will hit a few breaks as we go on through the interview.
So I'll try to play the music in a little More less abruptly, so we have a little more of a heads up.
When you hear the music, though, that means we're heading to break.
So, Rick, you're a tenured professor at the Florida Institute of Technology.
You're exposing the DEI, the subversive acts of not just the president, excuse me, of this university, but of the staff and the other professors who are basically coordinating a plot in a conspiratorial way to obfuscate this requirement, as you said, that's being given by the state for these institutions to receive certain funding, right?
They have to comply with non-discriminatory practices, which would include the disallowing of the use of this DEI initiative, critical race theory, et cetera.
And they come in, you're in this meeting, and they're basically all in agreement that, hey, we're going to just basically change the language and sidestep all of these requirements and still do the discrimination and then still receive the funding.
So, you're blowing the whistle on this, but you were telling us sort of as we went to the break before you got interrupted about that.
So, if you'd please continue.
Yeah, sure.
So, a couple of things I'll add to that.
That first, I care deeply about non-discriminating.
And, you know, I was actually a diversity fellow of the American Psychological Association on the National Research Service working.
I was a graduate student.
So, when they're talking about violating DEI, I take that very seriously because what they're saying is they want to discriminate.
And this isn't like just a policy matter.
I'll remind the viewers or the listeners that this is coming from the Department of Justice, Office of Civil Rights, and the Office of the President of the United States have both put out separate, clear legal guidance enumerating the ways that this is a discriminatory practice that hurts Americans and violates the civil rights of citizens of the United States of America.
So, that's something that we should all find common ground on for why it's bad, because it doesn't just discriminate, it also indoctrinates.
And we shouldn't be indoctrinating our students with this kind of European communism, which is basically what they're doing.
There's people in the room who are actually from Europe on H-1B visas engaging in this fraud on American citizens and imposing these discriminatory values.
Absolutely.
Brandon May actually falsified his job application records when he applied here from Europe.
He's a junior professor who doesn't do much in terms of research publishing, but I caught him falsifying those records, and the university sponsored the H-1B visa anyway.
So, there's a web here of fraud upon you and your listeners and the citizens of the United States.
And they weren't just tweaking the language.
The president told us that he wanted to fight back after a meeting in the office of Governor Ron DeSantis.
And Ron DeSantis put out an official statement the day that O'Keefe wrote his story confirming that the meeting did exist and occur with the governor's office and our presidents.
And the president comes back and tells us we're going to fight back, not just tweak, because we're going to fight back.
We're just going to change the language, but we're not going to change our deeds.
And he says he wants to stay under the radar and we're going to do what we do and keep our core values that don't change, which are the values of discrimination and indoctrination.
And so it's important to note that it's not just tweaking the language, it's a fundamental subversion of the laws to not discriminate on American citizens.
And so he went on to say that the governor who's office that shook him down, as well as the federal people, he said, they're not smart.
They're not smart.
So just say the right words, hide the words that we want to hide and hide the deeds that we want to do.
Everyone in that room was supportive, as O'Keefe's video characterized correctly.
They're nodding.
They're asking for ways that they can continue to conspire with him.
One person spoke up and said, hey, I think we should be a little bit more sensible about this and moderate a little bit.
But for the most part, outside of that exception, this is definitely a conspiracy of people who are in agreement to.
So they need to go to jail.
They need to go to jail.
All of them.
Well, all of them need to go to jail.
Make an example of them.
It's not just that.
I mean, you're living by the vegetative of that meme.
Straight to jail.
And I'm sitting there, and I'm there on the inside.
So usually you've seen these stories pop out in the media at other universities across the country.
But what happens, and what's different about this story that O'Keeffe broke is that the other ones they catch a low-level or a mid-level staffer or administrator, and the university basically throws them off under the bus and says, Oh, there's just a staffer.
They don't represent the actual position of the university.
We would never do that.
They were wrong.
Well, in this case, that's not true.
This is the actual president enumerating the actual university policy as an institutional policy.
So they can't just kick that away.
And we caught him red-handed.
Like, I was there on the inside.
And what I'll tell your viewers or your listeners and policymakers, everybody, this is happening everywhere.
You're just not seeing it because they're hiding it in meetings like this from conspirators who agree with it.
I happen to have access to that meeting and didn't want to conspire and put myself at risk of the same jail or losing funds.
And so, you know, this is happening everywhere.
They're always going to play this shell game against the United States government against the citizens to continue to milk their funds and to indoctrinate their kids.
And unless you either pursue the criminal route of jail, which I'm not notorious, I hope that's what they can do.
But the other side is civil and regulatory frameworks that the Department of Education or the National Science Foundation, HHS, they're having Pentagon funds sent there to train people on the GI Bill, people from the Space Force here.
Unless you pull the funds that are contingent upon compliance with federal regulations, laws, and policies, then you're, as a government and you as a citizen, are going to continue paying these people to defraud you, which we should be ashamed of because there's no bigger cuckery in the world than paying someone to defraud you.
And that's what we're doing as a nation to all these institutions.
And unless we can get tough and hold them accountable by withdrawing those funds, and those funds include, in this case, the president said in our video, $76 million worth of, excuse me, $69 million that we receive in federal student loans.
That's money to the students that he's putting at risk, that every university is putting at risk.
And it makes people look bad and say, well, let's take away money from the students.
But no, it's the institutions that are putting those students' money at risk.
And so there's a lot of layers to that that I don't think people think about, but, you know, it has a giant impact on the future of our country.
I agree 100%.
And I, again, thank you for putting your neck online to really expose a lot of this stuff.
For you personally, what were the repercussions that you faced?
Well, I've just been fired on short notice with no notice.
And what was that?
About two weeks ago, maybe three weeks ago now.
So I have a family of two, a baby and a toddler and a postpartum wife lost our health insurance, lost our income.
And so we've been scrambling.
We've been trying to mobilize a fundraiser for people who want to help us fight back against DEI.
So we have a Give Thing Go account out there.
It's like slash GJ3G6, which is just the random number they gave on the website to the account.
But we're desperately grateful for people who want to help and support us.
But, you know, one of the reasons that we're asking for support is because I walked away with nothing on being fired from tenure.
And so, you know, an elaborated answer to your question is that when you have tenure, you're supposed to be protected for speech.
I was going to say, it's pretty difficult to get fired when you're tenured.
You got to really want it.
Well, it ought to be.
I'm not to make light of you, right?
Yeah.
And I will say, like, I have a PhD in neuroscience.
I did three years of neuroimaging postdoctoral fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas.
I've been doing this for 25 years, building up a career that's made fundamental discoveries about new kinds of human memory and the brain and working with NASA.
There is a lifetime of career that went into getting tenure, and it's not supposed to be dismissed at the wave of a wand.
And the way they did it was in a secret meeting that I didn't know about, and then they just fired me with no notice.
And so, you know, that's not supposed to happen.
We're going to be.
It sounds like communist subversion to me, and they're enemy combatants, and then they're eligible for bags.
It's an absolute star camera.
Look, I'm in the bag, man.
Nick's solution to everything is bags and rendition.
So let's, but I don't think that may be the case here.
We may have it more the civilian court system might actually apply better.
But, you know, again, not how fast it stops.
Well, yeah, that's true.
It's a deterrent.
There is a deterrent aspect there.
But, you know, Rick, I definitely feel for you and your family right now.
I understand how difficult it must be.
And, you know, but again, I want to commend you.
And I know our audience probably feels very similarly that, you know, doing the right thing, it has consequences.
Oftentimes, I've experienced that on a personal level where, you know, I had something similar happen where, you know, a whole long story I don't want to get into, but with Google and YouTube, and I sued YouTube, and, you know, we took it up to the 9th District and almost got to the Supreme Court, but it all ended up costing a lot.
But I mean, doing the right thing can be costly, but I think you did the right thing.
Tell us a little bit about what the consequence, what has changed at the university for the President Niclo?
Has anything come of this that you're optimistic about with regard to what you blew the whistle on?
Do you see changes happening positively?
Good question.
One, I'm not at the university anymore, so I can't say at least the big changes in the past few weeks.
And actually, I don't know if you've heard about it or know about or seen.
I don't know.
So, I mean, on one level, I haven't seen anything encouraging at all.
I think they're continuing to do this.
They don't seem very bright.
And so my hope is that change will come if we can get the attention of the federal department of education, Office of Civil Rights at the DOJ, the State of Florida's departments.
I'm hopeful that people will start to pay attention and they can impose some accountability so that there may be change so that the students can have a better education and not be indoctrinated and have their tax money wasted on the eye for their federal level.
Have you been reached out to by the Trump administration by anybody?
No.
Would you like that?
Is that something you would hope to have happen?
I would certainly hope I filed a lot of different communications and filings and complaints with the Office of Civil Rights at the Department of Education, the Office of Civil Rights at the Department of Justice.
I filed complaints at the National Science Foundation office of Inspector General, although they did get back and said that they're looking into it.
And just actually, this will be a little bit breaking news for you guys in the sense that yesterday I heard back from the Office of the Governor of Florida's Inspector General saying that they're having the Inspector General of the Department of Education in Florida conduct an investigation into the university as well.
And they encourage people to contact the Board of Trustees as well, since it's a private institution.
So there is that afoot.
But, you know, the federal government has been pretty busy with a lot of things too.
But, you know, as a small-time citizen, we want the government to work for us in small-time lives as well.
So it's great that they're doing the big stuff, but we need to get their attention so that they can answer the call of all of us who don't go to Harvard and Columbia, which is great.
They should hold those schools for those $500 million settlements and stuff.
That's great.
But you and I, I don't know.
Maybe you went to Harvard.
I certainly didn't.
We all go to schools all around the country.
But you're an astronaut around the country.
I actually went to school in Florida.
I went to a Florida university.
I went to the Florida Atlantic.
So, yeah, I have a little bit of experience down there, but I'll tell you this.

I'm there, and maybe giving Nick A chance to dial in there for a second, if I may.
Follow up on something you said before the break.
You take the floor, Rick.
Please go ahead.
One of the things you said was that there's a cost or a price to doing the right thing.
And I agree with you.
I'm paying that price.
I lost my job, my health insurance.
And that was in the face of, I was offered $100,000 buyout of hush money to resign if I would promise to stay quiet and never sue them.
And of course, effectively told them to pound sand.
But the thing is that I wanted to say in response to that is you're right.
There's a price and a cost to doing the right thing.
But what a lot of people forget about and don't think about is that there's also always a cost to doing the wrong thing.
And it's usually the cost we don't think about.
We always think about what's it going to cost to do the right thing.
And sometimes it costs a lot.
Sometimes not so much.
But when you do the wrong thing, there's usually a big price to pay.
And if not now, definitely later.
You know, like if all you eat is candy today, there's not a whole lot of price to pay for it, but you're going to pay a price later.
You got to fill your soul with the vegetables, the meat, potatoes, the good things that you may pay the price for too, but will actually pay you dividends.
Much more.
I think that's profound and wise to consider when you think about the implication of, you know, it's not just what consequence comes from doing right, what consequence comes from doing wrong, and being where and acutely aware of both things is important.
We, here at this podcast, we're a Christian podcast, in case you didn't know, radio show.
So we're strong in faith, and that is a part of our belief in understanding the world and how to operate in it is that, you know, we see that as being an imperative to not just doing the right and wrong or doing the right versus the wrong thing, but also an understanding that there is a right and a wrong.
There is an objective truth that is clear and morality is not relative.
You know, oftentimes I've talked about society, they get tied up into this moral relativism, the morally relativistic worldview where it's my truth and your truth.
But no, there is an objective truth.
There is an objective right and objective wrong.
And I commend you, Rick, for clearly identifying objectively what was right and to do and what was wrong and being a man of integrity and standing up against it.
I think that's an uncommon quality in today's world.
And you are going to be leading by example for your children because one day they're going to look up their father, they're going to read about you, they're going to learn about you, whether you're going to tell them or they're going to see it online.
And they're going to see that their father did the right thing and stood up when it wasn't popular.
And I think, you know, we can only commend you for that.
So I wonder if Nick is with us, if he is still there.

You have at least.
I flew in the Air Force Auxiliary, the Civil Air Patrol.
I was a volunteer.
We're not paid.
It's not considered veteran status or service in that respect, but we do fly Air Force missions.
We are allowed to wear the Air Force uniform when on mission, but it's an entirely volunteer corps search and rescue counter drug relief.
My cousin helps do that over on the East Coast.
He helps run that and teach all the kids about drones and stuff like that.
The Civil Air Patrol.
You know who else is in the Civil Air Patrol?
Barry Seale.
You know who else was?
Lee Harvey Oswald.
You've joined the ranks.
I'm just kidding.
Just kidding.
But that's very seriously, though.
A lot of really influential people come out of those organizations because they have a good start, a good foundation.
But what I got to say about this, I think that we have a problem with communism here.
You know, we have people who are coming here and not assimilating to that doesn't help.
Combined with, you know, there's a contrived effort to destroy any sort of culture that we have here.
And it's been going on for decades and decades.
And even now, our Congress, you know, we can't petition them for any grievances because they're all controlled and owned by APAC.
You know, we've been infiltrated.
I don't know what to say other than I really hope I'm glad you did what you did because those people need to be held accountable.
And what they did was subversion of the will of the people.
And subversion should be treated the same, whether it's at a university, whether it's they're trying to do ideological subversion in the universities, whether they're trying to sabotage train rails or burn chicken farms or burn all these things that seem to be happening the last four years.
That's weird, huh?
You know, I think that we need to crack down on these people and they need to have harsh penalties for discrimination.
I think, you know, and I know everyone's listening, they don't know what you look like.
I'm going to ask you a question.
You don't have to answer it.
And I'm guessing this is why you got so much pushback on when you tried to stop what was happening.
You know, are you, would you consider yourself a white man?
I know you don't.
It's funny you should mention that.
So I think most people would definitely see me as a white male.
And I know that for a fact because I've also been had the victim of the weaponization of Title IX on campus, where I've had students complain about me because I was a white male.
And they said that in their complaint.
They said he's teaching the Tuskegee study, but he's teaching it.
I can't believe he talked about the Tuskegee study, but as a white male, they're literally saying that I could have been allowed to have a speech different, speak different words if I look different or pretended I was a different gender.
And like, that is the weaponization that communists use to deliver the hammer of communism.
And then they use the sickle to cut you off.
Well, I'm appalled.
Well, I'm appalled at this race conversation we're having here.
So I didn't know he was white, so now we might have to end the interview because I don't think white.

I like that Rick dislikes communists.
And I also know that he's probably a historian of how communism started and spread.
But, you know, what do you think the solution is if they're not going to respond and the state's not doing anything really?
How are we stopping this?
How are we going to do it?
That's a really good question.
One, we're going to be filing a lawsuit very, very soon for wrongful termination, but that's just about me.
There's a bigger issue about you and everyone else who, A, can be indoctrinated by the universities who are defrauding you, B, on your tax money that they're not supposed to be doing to C, discriminate upon you and all of our fellow citizens.
So what are we going to do about that?
I think it's a different issue.
One, I think we keep the pressure up from the ground, grassroots level, social media, hold our leaders and our representatives accountable and ask them to represent us small guys in addition to holding the big places like Harvard and Columbia accountable as well.
They need to do both to get involved, but raise awareness.
And, you know, at a selfish level, I'll say it for me, but I'll say it for everybody too.
Like, we need to support the people who stand up and draw fire because nobody's going to want to if they're not end up support at one level or another.
So, like, I was emboldened by Ron DeSantis when he was going out and telling people that Florida is where woke goes to die and all this kind of stuff.
So, then you stand out, you step up, speak the truth, draw fire, get fired.
But then, like, there's got to be a backstop to that where we can say that if you're going to try to buy out the truth for $100,000, that the truth is worth more than that to us as a community, as a people.
And that, and that, you know, like, so like I have a fundraiser, how my family get up.
I'm telling people, like, hey, let's raise the same amount of money to show them that the truth is worth more than silence is, and that, you know, light is worth more than dark when we hide things.
And so I think that there's layers in which we can do things.
Can I interrupt and ask you one quick question?
Because it's directly related to what you're talking about.
I know James O'Keefe, his organizations have always had a great track record of supporting the people who come forward and become whistleblowers.
How has he been?
Have you experienced that with him?
Has he been really supportive, helping you out in that regard?
James has been absolutely incredible.
He's become a great friend.
He's revealed himself to me to be a great person and to be someone as a light in the dark who's actually earnestly cares about truth, honesty, integrity.

And frankly, why should we move when they were wrong?
Like, that's the whole point of litigation, is holding them accountable.
And, you know, we shouldn't let the communists win.

If he doesn't, then I'm going to start trolling him every day until he does about his shoes.
Yeah, so, you know, don't forget in the end that, like he, as he mentioned, that God wins and that the suffering that you go through in this life does not go unnoticed, especially if you're righteous in what you're doing.
And I think that God will, and you know, God will reward in the end the people who are righteous.
He will reward his faithful servants, that's for sure.
And this is a verse that I'm going to shout out, General Flynn.
I'm going to shout out you, Nick, because you shared this verse with me that we're going to share here today on the show.
This is from Galatians chapter 6, verse 6 through 10.
It says this, and it's so appropriate for Rick Adante's story and our collective effort here.
It says, the one who has taught the message must share all his good things with the teacher.
Don't be deceived.
God is not mocked.
For whatever a man sows, he will also reap.
Because the one who sows to his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh.
But the one who sows to the spirit will reap eternal life from the spirit.
So we must not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don't give up.
Therefore, as we have opportunity, we must work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith.
And that's as simple as it gets, folks.
Remember that we must not get tired of doing good, trusting that the work that we put in, we will reap the good works that we have sown.
And that is as biblical as it gets there, folks.
So Rick's going to reap that reward.
We're going to reap that reward when we go out and do the right thing and honor God and live as righteously as we can in his perfect image that we give ourselves to his son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
And if you haven't given your life to Jesus, I make that invitation to everybody at the end of the show: open your heart, say a prayer, call upon his name, accept him as your Lord and Savior, and let him work through you.
Because remember, when you have Christ in your heart, you may get tired, but you will never get tired of doing that which is good because you'll know and have peace and hope and solace in the knowledge that your good works will not, as Nick said, go unnoticed and unrewarded.
And those rewards are waiting for all those who trust in him, follow him, serve him.
And that's my message to all of you out there.
I mean, take this with you going into the weekend.
Make it, put it on your heart, and use this as inspiration for not just yourself, but your family, your friends, your coworkers, anybody you meet, the strangers you meet in your day-to-day existence.
Use this as an inspiration.
