23andMe, the DNA testing company, has filed for bankruptcy protection and its more than 15 million DNA samples could be sold in bankruptcy proceedings.
The Wall Street Journal says 23andMe never found a way to make money.
Other than the one-time test it sold, it laid off 40% of its staff last November.
There have been 138 complaints to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration about Ford's F-150 pickups, saying the popular trucks could have an unexpected gear downshift and rear-wheel lockup.

Of course, we're starting with what we always start with.

Today it's about God's peace and mental health.
A powerful sermon that I think everybody should hear.

I was looking over some things this week from our...
Our message last week, and I want to just call some things to your attention as we get into God's Word in Psalm 37 today.
We're living in a world that is plagued with all kinds of mental health issues.
And there's mental health issues front and center in our world today.
And in fact...
I read a recent study that showed 33%, this is one in three, of the U.S. adults have experienced both a mental health condition coupled with a substance abuse.
This is a bad state of affairs.
When you have people who are going through great mental health issues, And then on top of that, we have all kinds of addictions and substances that we're turning to.
It's a high-pressure cooker world today, and those things become magnified when you add in all sorts of substances and addictions.
And then what happens is the household becomes a tinderbox for problems, and then there's fussing and fighting in the marriage.
Men perhaps are not doing what the man ought to do.
To protect and lead in the family.
Maybe he's got his own issues.
And then we see the breakdown of the family.
We see all kinds of problems that come from the breakdown of the nuclear family.
And a lot of it goes back to all kinds of things related to mental health and the pressure of life.
Thousands of young people and in meetings at youth camps around the country, youth conferences and so forth.
One thing that just really broke my heart as I've studied this and looked through some things, that suicide is the second leading cause of death for U.S. children between the ages of 10 and 14. It's the second leading cause of death, only second to accidental injury.
And young people are seeing...
No hope at home.
They're seeing no hope in society.
They're seeing no hope at school.
And their futures look bleak and dark.
And the impact of this crisis is severe.
And I want to tell you that the Bible has much to say about our thoughts, about our minds, and the impacts that they have on our emotions and our overall well-being in life.
Listen, fear, anxiety, Worry, depression, hopelessness, they abound in our world today.
And Christians are not exempt from these things.
Just because you're saved doesn't mean that you get a free pass from anxiety and worry and fear.
But we have hope.
Now in my study, one of the things that came out from a mental health study that was done that surveyed adults that were getting mental health, Help.
33% of U.S. adults have mental health issue with a substance abuse.
And as they begin to deal with these people, here's what they found.
Overwhelmingly, they boiled it down into three simple fears that people have today.
And I think a lot of this was magnified in 2020 when COVID was released and we saw some of the craziness that happened with that and then all the fighting and the government overreach.
I was very thankful that our church was able to remain open early and we got back to gathering and God blessed our church and I think we've seen a lot of people come to know the Lord because of that.
We don't downplay what people are really going through.
There has been some foolishness in the world, but people are going through great fear.
And when you boil it down, mental health experts have told us there are three great fears.
And I want to give you three verses today before we jump into Psalm 37. But when you boil it down, what are people afraid of?
Number one, they're afraid of death.
People are afraid to die.
The human race is the only creature on the planet that knows it's going to die and it's desperately trying to forget it.
And people are afraid to die.
But let's look what the Bible says.
You don't need to turn there.
Keep your Bible at Psalm 37.
But look up here at the screen.
Hebrews chapter 2 and verse 14 and 15.
For as much then as the children.
This is the children of Adam.
Human race.
For as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood.
He, Jesus, also himself likewise took part.
The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.
Well, why did Jesus become flesh and blood?
Why did He become like us?
Why was He born of a virgin?
Why did He live a human life?
Why? That through death, he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is the devil, and deliver them who through the fear of death were all their lifetime subject to death.
Listen, the world has been subjected to bondage and imprisonment and control over the fact that people are afraid of death.
And nefarious governments have used that threat to control people.
People are afraid of death.
Listen, Jesus came.
And he became us, and he went into death, and he overcame death on the cross of Calvary, and he came out of the grave alive.
And I want to tell you, it was more to that story than just a story about the crucifixion and resurrection.
The gospel of Jesus Christ, the good news is, is that Jesus delivers his people from the fear of death.
And I want to tell you this, and I don't mean this to sound morbid or...
Or Kurt.
But if we never overcome through Christ the fear of death, we will really never know what it is to live.
You'll never really live until you're no longer afraid to die.
And if you know Jesus Christ, listen, you can smile in the face of death.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil.
Why? For thou art with me.
And so, we don't need to fear death.
The second thing that people have when they boil it down, at the baseline of people's fear, is not only the fear of death, but it's fear of fear.
It is an overwhelming sense of anxiety, panic attack.
It's just a thing that something is wrong.
I don't know what's wrong, but something is wrong.
And if things are going right, they're going to go wrong.
And if things are going wrong, they're never going to change.
And people just have a simple fear of fear.
This is a chronic anxiety.
This is a numbing, paralyzing, gripping focus.
On the mind of just a dark place that many people are in bondage to.
We're just afraid of the unknown, full of phobias and all kinds of fear.
But I want to give you this verse, 2 Timothy chapter 1 and verse number 7. Alright, we'll be right back.

Paul writes in Philippians 2.17, The altar means fire, burning and purification and the removal of everything that God has not started.
And of every attachment, that is not an attachment to God.

God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Listen to me.
If you are gripped with fear today, God didn't give you that.
God didn't give you the spirit of fear.
God does not let his people be in the grip of fear.
365 times the Bible says, fear not.
By the way, that's one for every day of the year.
Fear not, fear not, fear not.
Fear not.
Be not afraid.
Fear not.
Fear not.
We do not need to be living in a spirit of fear and anxiety and anxiousness.
That is not how God intended His people to live.
And by the way, it's interesting that people that live like this, experts will tell us that this kind of fear, there's always this feeling of just dread and anxiousness.
It's a self-fulfilling prophecy.
You know, somebody's like, man, I think I might have cancer.
And then one day they find out I have the cancer.
See, I told you.
Somebody's afraid.
I'm afraid I'm going to lose my job.
And they go to work every day like they're afraid to lose their job until they're no longer productive and they lose their job.
See, I told you I was going to lose my job.
This is what Job had in mind in Job 3, verse 25, when Job said, the thing that I feared has come upon me.
I mean, it's a self-fulfilling prophecy.
You know, sometimes I wonder, is that pain cancer?
Well, guess what?
One of these days, I'm going to get some kind of malady and die.
I'm not being morbid.
I'm not being curt and just rude.
I'm just telling you that it's a condition.
I don't know about you, but death runs in my family.
And many of us have experienced it.
There's a dear lady here today that's been a part of our church family, and her grandson just passed away just five days ago.
And a grandson who's been here in our church, and I just learned this morning that he passed away, and my heart's heavy for that.
And listen, this is a reality of life.
Death is a part of life.
And it's not to be just passed over.
We need to comfort and give grace and help in those needs.
But listen to me.
We must not be in the grip of fear and bondage, of anxiety and worry and hopelessness.
And this really surprised me, but 70% of those that are dealing with mental health crisis have said at the baseline of that is a fear of loneliness.
The three great fears, fear of death, Fear of just the unknown fear.
Just the invisible monsters.
Fear. And then loneliness.
70% of the population.
Deals with a sense of loneliness.
You can sit in a church surrounded by a couple hundred people today and you can feel alone.
There can be people who are standing in the middle of Times Square on New Year's Eve surrounded by thousands and thousands of people and feel all alone.
People have a sense of loneliness.
But look what the Bible says in Hebrews chapter 13. In verses 5 and 6, he said, Let your conversation, this is your lifestyle, be without covetousness and be content with such things as you have.
Why? For he, Jesus, hath said, I will never leave thee nor forsake thee, so that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper.
I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
Listen to me.
We do not be afraid of being alone.
The Lord said, I will never leave thee.
There were three seminarians who were studying for ministry.
They went by to see a little widow lady one day.
As part of their class assignment, they went by to visit this dear saint of God.
And they sat with her.
And one of them said, ma'am, I know you live alone.
But look what the Bible says.
I will never leave thee.
And ma'am, in the Greek, that's in the aorta sense.
And that means that it's in a...
It's a multiple verb and it really means in three ways.
I will never, no, never, no, never leave you.
And that lady looked at that young man and she said, son, he might have had to say it three times for you, but he only had to say it once for me.
And listen, Jesus said, I will never leave you.
Listen to me.
Jesus said, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.
Jesus is with you today.
And you need not to fear death.
You need not to fear fear and the unknown.
And you need not to fear loneliness if you know the Lord.
Now, last week I told you that people worry and feel great anxiety.
And I gave you several reasons why people feel anxiety.
Number one, they feel inadequate.
Here's the problem I face, and here's my abilities, and that gap between my problem and my ability is a gap of anxiousness and worry and stress.
And I want to tell you, for the believer, guess who is between my problem and my ability?
But the Lord Jesus.
I can do all things through Christ.
But people feel inadequate to meet the demands and the needs of life.
Number two, people feel like they are out of control.
They have no control over things.
Look, you're looking at a guy right now.
I want to be in control.
When we go somewhere, I drive.
If I ever have heart surgery, if they ever have to open me up and do heart surgery, I'm going to ask them, can you just numb it?
I want to be awake.
I want to know what's going on.
They tripped me one time.
I had to go in for some oral surgery once, and they knocked me out.
They didn't tell me.
They just said they were going to give me Novocain.
But they gave me more than that.
Boom! The next thing I know...
I'm trying to get in the car.
I don't know who I am, where I am, what I am.
And I'm seeing all kinds of things I've never seen before.
And I didn't like that, being out of control.
I didn't like that.
I've never been inebriated.
I've never been intoxicated.
I've never been high on any kind of medication.
I very rarely even take Advil.
I want to be at myself.
And I want to be in control.
But listen, the truth of the matter is, none of us are really in control.
I mean, how much of your life is really under your control?
And so many people are afraid about that.
Many people have anxiety just because they fail to trust God.
We're going to talk about that in just a minute.
But I told you last week that many people have anxiousness and worry because we have misplaced priorities.
We have put our priorities wrong.
Our priority is in my possessions.
And I want to tell you, I want to just remind you of something.
You don't really possess your possessions.
They possess you.
I mean, you go out and buy your kids a swing set.
And you put that thing up.
You put it in the backyard.
You're like, man, our kids, we have this great playground.
Well, now you have to, every couple months, check all the bolts.
You have to go oil all the stuff.
Listen, you don't own that thing.
It owns you.
Maybe you put in a hot tub or a swimming pool.
And you say, man, we own a pool.
No, that pool owns you.
By the way, if you're going to ever build a swimming pool, let me give you a little tip.
Just go outside, dig a hole in the ground, and for the next 10 years, just throw money in that hole.
And when you get enough money to buy a pool, just get all the money, cover up the hole, and go do something fun with your money.
But that owns you.
But we misplace our priorities.
Jesus said, seek ye first the kingdom of God.
We think all the things that we're seeking in this earth are going to be what we need.
And the Bible says, he that hopes in silver.
We'll never be satisfied with silver.
You'll never have enough.
But listen, you put him first, you'll always have enough.
Now, Jesus simply said it this way.
He said, take no thought for your life.
Take no thought for your life.
What you're going to wear, what you're going to eat, what you're going to drink.
He said, the Lord knows what you have need of.
Now listen to me very carefully, and I'm going to get to the message.
I'm going to get to the heart of the message.
Jesus did not mean that we should live an unplanned life.
Just because we're not in control of everything and just because we don't have the adequacy to meet all the demands of life does not mean that you shouldn't plan your life.
Jesus said, no man should build a tower until he sits down first and he counts the cost and gets a plan and figures out what that tower is going to cost and how it's going to go up.
The Lord wants you to plan.
But don't be like the fool in the book of James who said, I know what I'm going to do.
I'm going to go tomorrow to such and such a city and I'm going to buy That man thought that he knew what city he could go to, what product he could buy, at what price he could buy it, at what price he could turn around and sell it to flip a profit for himself.
And he made all of these plans and he did all of it without God.
That's the problem, is when we plan without God.
God said, I want you to make a plan for your life, but don't forget God in your plan.
And I'll tell you the best way to plan your life.
Plan your life with God's plan for your life.
Find out from God what His plan for your life is, and then let God work it out.
And so, many of us are anxious because we're trying to live our own plan.
We're trying to be in control of our own life and all of our own destiny.
It's all in our power and in our hand.
And what does that bring us to?
It brings us to work.
Worry and fretfulness and fear and anxiety and depression.
And I want to tell you, when you live that way, listen to me church, when you live that way, it's an insult to God.
It's an insult to God.
How many dads do we have in this room?
How many dads?
Alright, I see some newborn babies back here.
I love these little babies.
I want to kiss every single one of them.
And the moms won't ever let me get close.
I get my...
Listen, I was on FaceTime with my little grandson last night and little Bennett.
And he's learning to stand up.
And so he's holding on to a laundry basket and he's standing up.
And man, I'm a fool.
I'm in my kitchen.
I'm clapping on the phone.
I'm kissing my phone, and I'm cheering for that little dude.
And listen, you see these little babies?
Can you imagine dads?
Hey, dads, you love your family.
Imagine if you came home from work, you walked in, and the kids didn't come and run and meet you and hug on you and say, Dad, how you doing?
How's your day?
Good to see you.
Daddy's home.
But instead, you went and looked for them, and they're all huddled up in a corner.
And they're all anxious.
And you say, hey kids, what's going on?
What's wrong?
Dad, we don't know what we're going to eat tonight.
What do you mean you don't know what you're going to eat tonight?
The pantry's full.
We got a fridge full.
We're going to cook something.
We got plenty of food.
Dad, are you sure we got enough?
I mean, are we going to have food tomorrow?
Dad, are we going to have our house tomorrow?
I mean, what if every time you turned around, your kids were always questioning if you could provide for them, worried about if they were going to have enough.
Listen, it would insult you to no end to know, I've got a job.
Have you ever gone without?
Have you never had a bed to lay in?
Have you never had a roof over your head?
You've always had a meal on the table.
Daddy's going to take care of you.
I work hard.
You would be insulted if your kids talked to you like that.
And yet, that's what we do to God.
We go to God.
Well, I don't know if you can take care of me.
And it's an insult to Him.
How much more shall your Heavenly Father give to them who belong to Him?
Listen, He is your Father.
And so I'm simply saying today that we ought not to worry.
Now let me give you a quick message on God's peace and mental health.
This comes right out of Psalm 37. Last week I gave you some reasons why people have anxiousness.
I'm going to give you an action plan today of what you do with your mental health and God's peace.
Look at Psalm 37, verse 1. Fret not thyself.
The word fret means to boil over, to get all worked up.
Fret not thyself because of evildoers.
Neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.
For they shall soon be cut down like the grass and wither as the green herb.
Have you not seen in our culture today evil on the rise?
Have you not seen evil workers promoting their evil and promoting the darkness and on the parade and everybody is promoting everything that's evil in the world?
And God said for you, don't fret about that.
Don't get all worked up and in a tizzy.
Don't get all boiled over and steamed up.
And don't get so worked up over all the evil.
Why? They're going to be cut off.
Evil will be done with soon enough.
God's going to take care of it.
Look at verse 3. He's going to tell you what to do.
Trust in the Lord and do good.
So shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
Delight thyself also in the Lord, and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Commit thy way unto the Lord.
Trust also in him, and he shall bring it to pass.
And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him.
Fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
Cease from anger, forsake wrath, fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
For evil workers shall be cut off, but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit.
Now listen, this is a believer living in a world where evil abounds, where everything that is right is wrong, and everything that is wrong is right, and up is down, and down is up, and light is dark, and dark is light, and a believer gets looking at all the problems of the world, and is there any hope in this world?
What is truth?
What's the way forward?
And if we're not careful, we get all fretted up.
We get all worked up.
And we get boiled over.
Some people get angry.
Some people get depressed.
Some people go into hiding.
Some people turn to drugs and alcohol.
Some people get alone and by themselves.
And they withdraw from everybody.
And God said, listen, I don't want my people living like that.
What do you do in a world like this?
What do you do in a situation like this?
And God gives us several things.
Let's look at them very quickly.
Number one.
Look at verse number 3. Trust in the Lord.
Now that sounds very simple on its face, doesn't it?
I just tell you, well, just trust the Lord.
And I think almost everybody here would say, I do trust the Lord.
And yet we worry about our finances.
We worry about our financial future.
We worry about our retirement.
We worry about what's going to happen tomorrow.
And by the way, let me just tell you something.
Jesus said, don't go into tomorrow and get tomorrow's clouds and pull them over today, son.
Jesus said, in this day right now, there's enough evil to worry about.
There's enough in this day.

And many believers, I think, would say, well, I do trust the Lord.
I do trust Him.
Well, let me just boil it down for just a minute.
Do you really trust the Lord?
Or is your hope in your job?
Do you really trust your job or do you trust Jesus?
Do you trust the corporation?
Or do you trust Christ?
Do you trust a political party?
Or do you trust the providential God?
Where is your trust?
Hey listen, you can lean on friends, but you better depend on the Heavenly Father.
And I want to tell you that there are many times that God puts us into trials.
God puts us into testings.
Why? Because He wants us to release our grip and our trust on things.
Many of us, listen, if we roll the bullet down and say, yeah, I trust the Lord, but we are checking our 401k every day, and we are so anxious about the stocks and the future and what's going to happen in the market.
And I'm not saying we should be ignorant about all that.
We need to be good planners.
But listen to me.
I want you to really ask yourself, where is your trust?
Do you really trust the Lord?
It's interesting to me how many believers will say, how did you get saved?
Well, I trusted the Lord.
I mean, we give our eternal soul and we just give it so easily to Jesus.
Lord, I'm giving you my life.
You saved me.
And we give him our never-dying soul.
But then we can't trust him with our retirement.
We can't trust him with our future.
We can't trust him with our bills.
We can't trust him with our health.
We can't trust him with our children.
I'm asking you today, where is your trust?
Do you really trust the Lord?
Are you really depending on the Lord?
So he says, number one, I want you to trust the Lord.
Look, the rest of the message will never go anywhere until you get to point one.
Until you can really depend.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
Lean not to your own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him.
And he shall direct thy paths.
Are you trusting God with your problems?
Alright? Number two.
Look at it.
Verse three.
Trust in the Lord and do good.
Now, here's number two.
What do we do with mental health?
We do good.
We do good.
Now I will tell you, when many people get into an anxious state, they get into a fretful state, they get into a discouraged state, they get somewhere where they get dark and depressed, they start withdrawing from normal life activities.
They go to work, they somehow fumble through work, then they can't wait to get home.
They get home and they just kind of fall into the couch or the recliner, and they grab their remote, they grab their tablet, they grab their phone, and they scroll, they flip, they watch, they get lost in all of the distractions.
And what do we do?
Self-destruct.
We just go further and further and further down in the dark well because we are not doing good.
We're sitting down waiting for somebody else to come along and help us rather than getting up and saying, okay, Lord, I'm trusting you with this and now I'm going to go do good.
You say, what do you mean by that?
Well, people will come and say, Pastor, pray for me.
I've lost my job.
And I'm just really depressed about that.
And I say, okay, well, what are you doing right now?
Well, I don't know what to do.
Well, how about go find a job?
And that sounds harsh, doesn't it?
It sounds harsh to somebody.
But I will tell you something.
You'd be better served if you just got a full-time job of finding a job and every morning at 8 o'clock you punch into Corporation U and go out and find a job.
You'd feel better about it if you were busy doing something about the problem rather than sitting back and worried about what's going to happen because you don't have a job.
And so, do good.
Get up and do good.
There are people right now that'll go home, they'll sit down on the couch, and they'll worry.
Man, I wonder about my health.
I wonder about my health.
And they got a bowl of ice cream and a bag of Lay's potato chips.
And they're worried about their health.
And they wonder, I wonder what that pain is.
That's your pancreas in an attack.
That's what that pain is.
That pain is the sugar absorbing all of your life out of you.
Now listen to me.
We worry about things and then we do the wrong thing.
God said, listen, I want you to get active.
Get up and do good.
You say, I got marriage problems.
Okay? You know who has marriage problems?
Everybody that's married.
Listen, you married a problem.
And so did she.
One sinner said, I do, to another sinner.
Then we decided to have a bunch of little sinners and we thought that was going to go good.
But it's God's design.
And God's told you how to have a good marriage.
But you've got to do something.
And you've got to do something unconditionally.
So you don't have to wait on your spouse to get it done.
You get up and do it.
Say, Lord, I'm going to trust you.
You said I could love my wife as Christ loved the church.
And so I'm going to do that.
I'm going to trust you to help me do that.
And I'm going to get active in doing what you've told me to do.
I'm just simply saying, you cannot just sit down in life and wait for a rescue when God has put something in your hand to get up and do.
Do what you can do.
Now, there's going to be a time to sit down and wait.
We're going to talk about that in a minute.
But you cannot sit down and wait until you have first gotten up and done good.
Everybody hearing me right now?
Okay. Shake your head up and down if you're listening today.
All right.
Do good.
There are some times that...
People want to sit down and we say, well, I'm lonely.
We get lonely, we get depressed, and we just stay by ourselves.
We withdraw.
We don't feel like going out.
We don't want to be around anybody.
We're sad.
Listen, you trust the Lord that the Lord is with you and you get up and you go find somebody who's lonely.
You call one of our deacons and you say, hey, give me a name of a shut-in.
Give me a name of somebody who's going through a great trial.
I want to get something for them.
I want to go sit down with them.
I want to go talk to them.
Let me tell you what happens.
When one lonely person goes over and visits another lonely person, now you have two less lonely persons.
And you have people who are ministering to each other.
And you'll never believe the joy and the help you'll get.
When you go minister to somebody else.
You know, it's so sad to me.
Teenagers today.
And my heart goes out to them because many of our home lives are a mess.
And I pray for our young people today.
Many of them don't have a strong family.
And what happens is the problems and troubles of their life come.
So let me tell you what they do.
They go to their room.
They close the door.
They get in their room.
They put their earbuds in.
They turn the music up.
And they sit on their phone or a video game thing and they just play and they scroll for hours and hours and hours and they see everybody else's life in filters.
They see celebrities.
They see everybody else's life in filters and they're living in their own life unfiltered.
And they just go deeper and deeper and deeper and deeper into a pit of despair.
And they are sitting around.
Lonely, anxious, fearful, worried, depressed.
And if a teenager would ever just walk out and just grab ahold of mom and say, Mom, I love you, they'd find out that mom has her own problems and her own burdens and they can help each other.
They can bless each other.
If they would get out with their siblings and they would be an encouragement to their sibling, instead of slamming doors and yelling and screaming and fighting, Really care for their sibling.
They would find help in that.
Listen to me.
I'm just saying, God said, trust in the Lord and then get up and do good.
Let me give you the third thing very quickly.
Look at verse 4. Delight thyself also in the Lord.
Delight thyself also in the Lord.
And he shall give thee the desires of thy heart.
Now here's the third thing.
Delight in the Lord.
Now what does that mean?
To delight in the Lord means to love Him.
It means to put Him first.
If He is your delight, it means that He is your number one.
Listen, there's a lot of people in the world that I love, but I delight in Michelle.
I mean, she's my number one.
She's the one I delight to be with.
I love to spend time with her.
I love to be with her.
I love to hold her hand.
I'll shake your hand.
I'm going to hold her hand.

But God's not going to just say, well, Dean, you delight in me, so I'm going to give you a Lamborghini.
That's not what it means.
He's not going to give me what my heart desires.
He's going to give me what my heart should desire.
He will begin to change my desires.
And I will find out very quickly that the things that I've wanted are not the things that I need.
And God will start giving me the desires of my heart for the things that I really need.
God will set my heart on things that are not temporal, but on things that are eternal.
God will take my eyes off of all these things that are going to go away and put my heart on things that matter, that are forever.
Listen to me.
You want to know what your true treasures are?
Your true treasures are things that death cannot take from you.
My precious mother is in heaven today.
She passed away four years ago.
Listen to me.
Death did not take my mother from me.
My mother's with the Lord.
I'm going to be with her forever.
There's a lot of things in this life I'm going to leave here.
I'm going to leave all these possessions here.
But I will tell you something.
The true treasures are the things that death cannot take from me.
And God will put your heart on things that are sure.
Look, can I tell you today that one of the greatest problems In our life comes from putting our heart and our love on things that can be taken away.
The greatest joy you'll ever have in your life is when you put your heart on something or someone that cannot be taken away from you.
Many of us are working so hard and we have these houses.
And I need to be a good steward of the house that God's given me.
I have a house.
But do you know that one of these days I'm going to have to move out of the house?
I'm going to have to move into an independent living or an assisted living.
One of these days I'm going to leave that house.
And all of the things that I have, one of these days I'm going to give them to somebody else.
I mean, someone's going to have to come box all that stuff up and put it in a truck.
Drive it somewhere.
Put it in a storage unit.
And what's it going to do?
It's going to sit there until somebody goes to an auction and wins the storage unit and goes in there and tries to figure out what they got.
Well, guess what, bud?
You got nothing.
Because it's my storage unit.
There ain't nothing in there but boxes.
I'm just simply saying, we put all of our life into all these things that we're going to eventually lose.
But I want to tell you, you put your heart on the Lord.
You put your heart on things eternal.
You set your heart on things that God values.
On souls.
On your family.
On those around you.
I'll tell you, you're going to find joy unspeakable.
Delight yourself in the Lord.
You know, that's what Paul had in mind when Paul said, Rejoice in the Lord always.
And again, I say rejoice.
Do you know when Paul wrote that?
Rejoice in the Lord always.
And again, I say rejoice.
You know where Paul wrote that?
He wrote that in prison.
Demas had forsaken him.
No man, Paul said, no man stood with me.
Nevertheless, the Lord stood with me.
Paul got to a place, listen, Paul didn't have a house.
Paul didn't have a car.
He didn't have a 401k.
He had no retirement plan.
He had no fallback.
He had nobody but the Lord.
And you know what Paul said?
I can rejoice in the Lord.
Because if I have Him, I have everything.
And I'm simply saying this.
This is what He's saying to you today.
He's saying you need to get your heart fixed on the Lord.
Let me tell you, the Lord will take you through some things like He did with Job.
God will take His people through trials and He'll strip some things from you.
God will do that.
And I thank God that He's done that.
He's done that in my life.
God has taken things from my life.
God has put me in position sometimes where I've lost things.
And I wondered, Lord, why are you taking those things from me?
And I'll tell you why He did it.
Because my heart was becoming fixed on those things.
My blessings were becoming my cursings.
I was loving them more than I was a lover of God.
And so God will take things from you to get you right down to the bottom line of do you trust me?
Do you love me?
That's what he did with Job.
One of the reasons why God told Abraham to take Isaac up on that Mount Moriah and to sacrifice him is because Abraham had for many, many years followed God.
And now his heart had become enraptured.
And by the way, should have been.
He should have loved Isaac.
But he was loving Isaac more than he was loving God.
And listen, God said, I want you to give him to me.
God was not after Isaac.
God didn't want to take Isaac from Abraham.
God was not after Isaac.
God was after Abraham.
He wanted his heart.
And there are many times that we put all of our love on things.
We forget him.
We get our eyes on the things that he's given us and we get our eyes off of the giver.
And the Bible telling you here, listen, if there's something that you're anxious about, worried about, depressed about, get your eyes on the Lord and fall in love with Jesus.
Delight yourself in him.
He'll change the desires of your heart.
We're almost done.
Look at number, look at verse number five.
Commit thy way unto the Lord.
Now today is just a very practical, you know, this is not pastor running around stomping and shouting and yelling.
This is a pastor and people.
This is a shepherd's heart.
I'm helping you today.
My job today has not been to try to keep your attention.
My job is to get right down to where we live and our anxiety and our fear and our loneliness and our depression and the things that plague our minds all the time.
Get us right back down to where we live and say, listen, your trust should not be in the job.
It should be in Jesus.
It's not in the paycheck.
It's in the giver and it's in Christ.
And listen, thank God for the check.
Thank God for the job.
But what I really have is him and I want to love him and trust him and I want to delight in him.
And then he says, I want you to commit your way unto the Lord.
The word commit means literally to roll off.
Take your way and roll it off on Him.
You're carrying this big burden.
You roll it off on Him.
This is what Peter had in mind when he said, casting all your care upon the Lord.
For He careth for you.
There's one thing you should never bring gently to the Lord, and that's your problems.
Walk in with the Lord.
Take that burden of all your fear and all your anxiety and cast it on the Lord.
Give it to Him.
Roll it over.
Say, Lord, you carry this.
You carry it.
And Jesus said, if you'll come to me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, all of you that have these burdens, if you come to me, I will give you rest.
I'll take your burden and I'll give you mine.
And Jesus said, my burden, my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
Listen, when you exchange burdens with the Lord, He'll give you His heart, He'll take your cares, and He can carry it way better than you can carry it.

There's something happening here, but what it is ain't exactly clear.
I remember one time, I heard the story of a dad who was out with his little boy, and the little boy wanted to help dad.
And he said, dad, I want to help.
And he said, okay.
He said, dad, can I carry that?
And he said, okay, son.
He said, no, it's heavy.
And that little guy wanted to prove himself to his dad.
He wanted to be with his dad.
So he picked that little box up.
And he had that thing.
And he was straining under it, you know.
And he was trying to walk with his dad.
And it was real heavy.
And dad kept saying, son, do you want me to help you with that?
Son, do you want me to help you with that?
And he said, no, dad, I want to carry it.
And he said, well, son, listen, I know the thing's heavy.
He said, are you going to be able to make it?
He said, dad, dad, dad, I'll make it if you carry me.
And dad picked that little guy up.
And that little guy held the box.
And dad held him.
And listen, that's what the Lord wants to do.
God wants to say, listen, you've got this burden you've been under.
It's been keeping you up at 2 o'clock, 3 o'clock in the morning.
You've been stressing.
You've been fearful.
You're anxious.
You're fighting.
You're yelling.
You're screaming.
You're slamming.
You're threatening.
Stop it.
Roll that over on me.
Let me carry that.
And I'll give you my burden and my burden is light.
I really wish that we all knew how much he loved us today.
I wish we really knew how much the Lord wants to be a part of everything in your life.
God wants to help you today.
Give him your burden.
I'll say this lastly.
Look at verse number 7. Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for him.
Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him.
Now that rest means to be still and to be silent.
Be still and be silent.
Let me tell you one of the worst things you can do with your problems.
Talk about them to everybody.
You ever seen somebody's Facebook account where they just want everybody to know what they're going through?
And they post way too much information?
And they're just posting their problems.
Anybody ever seen a Facebook?
How many of you have a Facebook account like that?
Everybody just posts their problems.
We post them, but we don't pray about them.
Let me tell you one of the problems when you start talking all about your problems.
You know what you learn from people who always are telling everybody else all their problems?
You know what we learn from people like that?
They probably haven't been telling the Lord.
Because I'm trying to get this off of me, and I haven't gotten it on the Lord, so I'm putting it on everybody else.
When you start talking about your problems, here's the big problem with that.
Your problem starts being like somebody's fish.
It gets bigger and bigger and bigger.
You know, the longer they tell the story about how they caught that fish, the bigger the fish gets.
And the more people talk about their problems, the more the problem gets bigger.
The more you talk about it, it's always in front of your face.
It's always in your mind.
It's always in front of you.
You're always dealing with that.
That's the issue.
That's the issue.
Listen to me.
There's a time when you say, I trust the Lord.
I'm going to trust Him.
I'm going to go do something good that God has called me to do.
I am going to delight myself in the Lord.
Lord, I'm going to love you and I'm going to commit this to you.
I'm going to roll this burden over on you so that I can rest.
I can be still.
The Lord is my shepherd.
I shall not want.
He leadeth me beside still waters.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures.
Let me ask you a question.
Does God still lead his people to pleasant places and quiet places?
Does the Lord not give His people rest?
Is there not rest for the people of God?
Then why are we all stressed up and nowhere to go?
All right.

I mean, we have so many stories, really.
One of the top stories, though, that has been coming across the wire over the last 24 hours is this story here.
Barack Obama using USAID to pretend to send aid overseas but was actually laundering it to train rent-a-robs.
Huh. According to Mike Benz, the founder of the Foundation for Freedom Online, he recently was on the popular Joe Rogan podcast.
Mike Benz, during this podcast, discusses exactly this scenario and how it played itself out.
I'll play this clip to give you an idea of what they were actually doing, but suffice it to say, That we have a good idea of how this game has been being played for all too long at this point.

Now, we were running a number of rogue USAid operations in Cuba at the time, by the way.

I'm simply showing the American people where your tax dollars are going and how these things are structured in order to systematically fool you and to fool Congress and to fool the White House.

So they said, hmm, so they're not allowing Twitter in.
How can we get a Twitter there, but without calling it Twitter, without making it look like it's coming from the U.S.?
So what they did is they took the exact same thing as Twitter.
Same user interface, same like and retweet button.
Zunzunio is the Cuban slang word for hummingbird.
So it means it's bird.
It was the Twitter bird.
The whole thing.
But the whole trick about it was you have to make it look like it's coming from the Cubans if you're going to do this operation.

So this is 2010.
This is right during the Arab Spring.
And what you'll see is they took funds, millions of dollars of funds, that were concealed as humanitarian funds designated for Pakistan.
Now, I don't know if, Joe, or the audience, if you've looked at a map lately, but Pakistan is not exactly the next-door neighbor of Cuba.
All right.
Well, I want to play more of this.
Maybe not.
I'll just give you the rundown.
That was a good explainer for what we've seen today.
Think about it this way.
What he's explaining is that...
The U.S. government astroturfed a social media platform into Cuba to manufacture these rent-a-riot sort of revolutions, just like we did in Egypt for the Arab Spring that spread across the northern parts of Africa and led to the toppling of Gaddafi and Benghazi, all that stuff.
That all has been manufactured, right?
By the U.S. government, and now they were trying to do it in Cuba in 2010, and now here we are 15 years later, and they are doing it here in the United States.
For the last, you know, five years or more, they've essentially been running these practices here domestically, okay?

The protests you're seeing right now, these anti-Tesla, anti-Musk, the organizational effort that goes into that, none of this is organic.
The attacks on town halls for conservative congressmen and women, you know, you saw this big rally down in Denver and over in Greeley not too long ago, I believe, with AOC and Bernie Sanders.
The whole event is astroturfed.
The majority of the people there work in these organizations.
They derive money and paychecks from participating.

We started with this story because what's happening is there is a grassroots movement.

They just made a visit here to Greeley.
A crowd of a couple thousand people, believe it or not, showed up right here in Greeley.
You know, obviously these are mostly university students from the liberal colleges here, and unfortunately for us, the Democrats that do have a pretty strong stranglehold of this region.
They travel far and they travel wide for this sort of thing.
So probably getting Democrats from all over the region here.
But a very, you know, it's an important thing to take note of.
Because now, although this isn't the size of a Trump rally per se, I mean, we're talking, you know, a room that may hold a thousand people, if I'm guessing.
And it's full for half of the room, at least.
You know, the half that they show you on camera.
But what they're doing here is they're adapting strategies.
And I told you this is what was coming.
Right? And you've got to remember that although surely there are people in and amongst this crowd who believe in the...
The fact of the matter is that what we're actually seeing unfold before our very eyes is a situation that is going to mimic and try to create the illusion of this groundswell of support.
That is going to be used to thrust these people into the spotlight.
Because we all know the Democrat Party has failed, right?
With regard to the messaging, to connecting with the younger generation, they're losing that battle right now.
And that couldn't be more clear or evident given the outcome of the last election, the turnout, what the polling says, everything.
You go through the numbers, Democrats are failing, and you wonder why.
I mean, when you have Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, all of these septuagenarians, octogenarians running the party, Pocahontas, Hakeem Jeffries, the guy who's got the charisma of a pinto bean, these people are...
Incredibly difficult to promote to the younger generation.
So it's limiting the engagement.
And honestly, you know, it's becoming one of those situations where they're realizing the failure of their messaging and they're adapting.
And I knew this would come.
You probably did too.
This is where we're at.
So now they're shifting.
The pivot is we're going to put Bernie Sanders, again, another septuagenarian or octogenarian.
I don't know how old he is.
He's probably in his 70s or 80s by now.
Along with AOC, this young firebrand Latina who is, you know, again, of low to average IQ.
I mean, being generous, average, low on the more likely side, IQ.
You know, it's a woman who gets on these TikTok live streams or whatever, you know, platform it's on and, you know, appeals to her audience by making airheaded remarks about, you know, the U.S. government that don't even, aren't even quantifiable within the realm of legality, but they sound good.
You know, they make good soundbites and they make people feel good, so let's all, you know, sing kumbaya together.
Well, the funny thing is that, you know, This sort of rollout of this movement is going to be framed as grassroots, organic, and everything else you can imagine, that this is what the people want.
But we all know who's still controlling the party at large.
They've just wised up to the fact that people aren't going to be radically motivated to go out and do the things they need them to do in order to Which is all they care about at the end of the day, which every party, I'm not saying this is a uniquely Democrat left thing, every party, left and right, it's a unique to the politics of power, who controls which side is the one that wants the power more, right?
That's what you have to remember when you deal with this.
So, as we watch it all unfold before our very eyes, I want to be the first in on this sort of reporting, especially since it's visiting us here in Colorado, right?
They're trying to drum up support in the deepest blue places they can find to, you know, pave this new path within the party.
They're opportunists, self-serving, yada, yada, yada, and they have to fulfill the role that they've been given.
You know, the anti-capitalist capitalist, you know, the socialist who wants to own several mansions while you, you know, own nothing and be happy.
Eat the bugs, live in the coffin apartment, says Klaus Schwab.
So Bernie Sanders, with his multiple mansions and million-dollar book deals, wants you to know how much he's against communism, or excuse me, against capitalism.
And how great communism is going to be because he'll be in control of it.
And you know those who are in control of communism, they live pretty well.
I don't think Stalin ever, you know, lived in the gulag or the ghetto.
At least not while he was in control, you know what I'm saying?
So... The point I'm making, though, is that this is what's happening.
This is what they're doing.
It's all astroturfed.
It's all fake.
And a lot of these people participating in these events, presumably, are people who have been either directly infected on a hardcore level with the woke mind virus through the media and the deception that has been laid out there.
Taking what was once traditional liberalism and bastardizing it into some kind of, you know, mutant transformation, you know, mutant transition of a goblin that it's become, where it's now like...
To be a liberal means to love the government and to want the government to restrict your life harder and to vote for never-ending wars and to support everything that the Democrat Party at one time stood against is now basically their party line.
And the one thing they are the party of, and I'll give them credit where it's due, they're the party of complete and total...
Cognitive dissonance.
The idea that you can hold these conflicting ideals simultaneously without having a problem because your mind just shuts off when something...
If Zelensky is speaking, you are to be quiet and sit down.
If you see a Ukrainian flag, you are to prostrate yourself before whoever is waving it and give them full credit and power over your life.
If you hear a mention of a never-ending war, you're to support it.
With every fiber of your being, otherwise you'll be cast out and you'll be seen as other than and less than by your peers.
You see how this works?
You see how this is all, like, forming into this nightmarish cult that they all live in?
And again, people call the right-wing a cult, too.
It's not like I'm unaware of this.
I do find it rather amusing that the cult that we're in is the one that says to, like, I don't know, think for yourself, make your own judgments, look deeper into things and have a well-versed, you know, and a well-varied, a dynamic perspective.

Quite simply put, you know, we're talking about Bernie Sanders and AOC and this rebrand, and if you'll recall in the Greek mythology, there is the story of Icarus, who tragically died after flying too close to the sun with wax and feather wings, a cautionary tale about ambition and heedless disregard for warnings.
And in the same way that Icarus flew too close to the sun and ended up losing his...

So too did the Democrats fly too close to the sun during the 2020-2024 Biden administration era.
Why do I mean by that?
Well, interestingly enough, we're talking about the rebrand, this rebrand, relaunch of the Democrat progressive left-wing regime.
And they're basically coming out and saying that everything they said they didn't really mean.
So what happened was, the Democrats came out and told us to quiet power out loud too much, essentially.
We spent too long getting a full rundown over what, a full disclosure on the true plans that they had.
I mean, everything was too on the nose.
People were not that stupid.
They thought they were that stupid, but I guess they weren't, thankfully.
And it's funny, because to me, this is just, it's not even like a rebrand or a relaunch, it's a re-relaunch, if that makes sense.
They're just going back to the thing they did before, which is lying to you, saying what you want to hear, saying the thing that's deceptive, and then doing...
The opposite when they get in power, which is the political trick of all time.
Let me try to make this comparison because I think it is a relevant one and it does make sense if you think about it.
So in 2016, Trump comes out as this firebrand conservative, saying the quiet part out loud, saying what the establishment Republicans wouldn't say, right?
We're going to go to Washington.
We're going to drain the swamp.
We're going to get rid of all the corruption.
We're going to take them on.
Now, the difference was between Trump and previous people who said it is that he actually...
Trump became popular.
He went viral.
He became a sensation unto himself.
And that sensation led to his election in 2016.
So here you have a situation where, of course, Trump becomes the president, and he actually starts delivering on that promise.
And Democrats are shell-shocked, right?
And they're like, wait, he said the quiet part out loud, and he's doing what he said he was going to do.
Now, those two things happen, but never together and never politically.
Meaning, up until that point, what were we as the American people used to?
We were used to elections taking place where you have two candidates who both lie to you equally, and then...
They tell you what you want to hear, and then whoever you elected, it didn't matter, because whoever was the elected person was going to serve the invisible hand of government, the bureaucracy, the never-ending deep state, the deep state, the military-industrial complex, etc., etc., right?
They were going to serve them no matter what, but they told you they were going to serve you.
We love that.
We love being told what we want to hear, right?
Everybody likes to be told what they want to hear.
But Trump broke through that.
And all he did to break through it, he broke through it in a way that was very transformational.
So what happens?
Well, he serves four years.
And in those four years, a lot of things happen.
But amongst those things, the radical left decides, hey, we're going to do what they did.
We're going to say the quiet part out loud.
We're going to do...
What they're doing to the same level, and even beyond.
So what do you see?
Well, you see, you know, Black Lives Matter.
You know, they're telling you, hey, white people are evil.
Everybody's racist.
This is a problem.
We're going to fix it.
What do they do?
Anti-fascism.
Well, capitalism's evil.
We're going to get rid of it.
Okay, and then you see all of these other organizations that follow suit kind of organically, right, quote-unquote, become prominent through their association with these organizations, and they form this coalition, right?
And the coalition is formed, and they...
Use violence and terrorism and extortion and intimidation to steal the 2020 election, along with a pandemic and some help from our friends at the intelligence agencies and their rent-a-riots and their astroturfing tactics and mass formation psychosis, etc., etc.
Threw a lot of sordid tricks, and don't forget the friends over at Dominion Voting and all the other voting machines that helped out big time in that 2020 push, right?
So they usurp power nefariously, and they told the people that were going to do it.
They made it all but too clear, hey, by any means necessary means, by any means necessary, we will win this election, quote-unquote.
Win. No matter what.
And they did.
They called their shot.
Gotta give credit where it's due.
Stole a whole election.
Not a bad deal.
Now, of course, these radicals were being helped in large part by the deep state, the corrupt bureaucracy, right?
So they steal this election while doing the thing that they predicate, you know, we're going to copy Trump.
We're going to do, we're Trump now.
Antifa. Mainstream.
BLM. Mainstream.
Okay. So they succeed.
Well, what do they do?
Well, they elect a Muppet.
They literally elect a sock puppet in Joe Biden.
A guy whose entire administration is summed up by a machine that knows how to make a copy of his signature using a pen.
So it was like the one ring.
It's like, he who controls the ring, he who controls the auto pen, controls the presidency.
Right? So, ostensibly, they elect this Muppet, and then, because of their own inadequacies and ineptitude, which are clear and obvious to anybody who's ever taken five minutes to go through who was running the show behind Biden, The incompetence that surrounded Obama, they failed at everything they've ever tried, essentially, except at, you know, partially destroying this country.
That's one thing they've succeeded at, but that's a product of their ineptitude.
They fail miserably.
And in that failure, Americans are awakened.
They go, what the?
Wait, I didn't vote for an auto pen machine.
Who's running it?
Well, we don't know.
Could have been Susan Rice.
Could have been Obama.
Could have been John Podesta.
Hell, it could have been that queer intern that Jen Sakai had and did that TikTok video that went viral.

So they decide, hey, in 2020, now again, with a lot of statecraft and a lot of extra help from intelligence agencies and globalists and corrupt deep state operatives.
But they do.
They say the quiet power out loud.
They amplify Antifa.
They amplify Black Lives Matter.
They get this grassroots movement of radicals on board.
And they brainwash them to boot, using the mass formation psychosis to the point where they're waving foreign flags.

But there's a scene in that movie where all the anchormans from all the different TV stations come together and they have this, like, crazy battle, right?
You know, they're throwing tridents, people are on horses, people are on fire, they're throwing hand grenades, they're using spears.
It's like, what?
Like, it just comes out of nowhere.
And there's a scene where one of the guys who's on Ron Burgundy's side says, well, that escalated quickly.
Or Ron Burgundy, one of the anchormans, that escalated quickly.
That's 2020 in a nutshell.
That's literally what we all live through, in case you were wondering.
It was like, bam, Antifa, bam, Black Lives Matter, bam, pandemic.
Well, that escalated quickly.
Next thing you know, stolen election!
January 6th!
It was like, you couldn't even keep up with it.
It was so crazy.
All intentional, by the way.
All very intentional.
Bombarding us so that we couldn't, you know, adapt and adjust.
It's all part of their strategy.
It would inundate your, it's meant to freeze, it's trauma-based mind control, it's fine, it's freezing your cognitive ability, fight or flight, response mechanism, employing your natural instincts to trust a higher authority, etc., etc.
So that all happens, right?
But then people wise up, and Trump comes back, like I said, Phoenix rising out of the ashes, he gets re-elected, doing the same thing.
Saying the quiet part out loud.
But Democrats now have learned their lesson.
Thus why we have the rebrand relaunch tour with AOC and Bernie Sanders.
They understood.
They went, you know, they went full progressive and everybody knows you never go full progressive.
That's another reference to a comedy movie.
If you guys know it, text me and I'll let you know if you got it right.
But they went full progressive, and you never go full progressive.
So now they understand they have to go back to the old playbook, which is capture the middle, the libertarian, moderate, centrist-type population with people who lie and say what they want to hear, and that will split the vote enough so that...
No coalition can be formed.
Democrats with their, you know, gaslighting and tricks can steal.
This is what they're rebranding for.
I mean, for instance, Bernie Sanders.

I see a Bernie Sanders raising his hand in support of that.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
You're telling me a Bernie Sanders has now switched his stance on illegal immigration?
Hmm. It's almost like he's been given a script.
He's been given...
A set of scripts to follow so that he can deceive you.
Tell them what they want to hear.
Speak out of both sides of your mouth.
That way they can hear you that much better.
Listen, this is what's happening.
I'll break it down in a very quick nutshell here.
We only have a few seconds.
They're rebranding and relaunching.
And they're basically trying to skim that centrist vote off, funnel it into this libertarian nothing, you know, basically your dead vote, where your votes don't matter.
They thought RFK was going to do that in the last election, but when RFK endorsed Trump, they completely got blindsided.
This time they're taking party, taking loyalists to the party and they're rebranding them as independent.
Then they're going to run them as the third party.
Those third party ticket, that third party ticket is going to split off and they're going to basically be throwaway votes.
And that's what's going to even the field so that they can manipulate with their voting machines and paid agitators and rent-a-rocks.
There you go, folks.

It's like sitting on the opposing team's sideline and reading their playbook out loud to your team.

Someone from the 970 says, I heard Psalm 37 preach at our Baptist church when I was let go from my job.
I trusted in the Lord.
Within three weeks, the Lord delivered me a job that met the need of my family.
Yeah. That's amazing.
And thank you for sharing that.
And that is the truth.
You know, I can't tell you how many times in my own personal life I have faced something that I wasn't prepared for, or I didn't think I was prepared for, or I didn't know why it was happening, and it seemed like this insurmountable affliction.
And it was only later that I realized, you know, God was bringing me through to another thing, and He had this plan that I couldn't see in the moment.
And I hope that you, if you're facing something, trust that as well.
But that's a great story about trusting in the Lord.
Somebody also says from the 970, My perspective, these communist Marxist gatherings remind me of the Hunger Games ideology, and I do take them seriously because there are many lost souls, and these crazy commies and the devil preys on weakness.

Today is no different.
We're in 2 Corinthians chapter 4, and I want to read verse 16 through 18. It says this, speaking about endurance and never giving up.
It says, therefore, we do not give up.
Even though our outer person is being destroyed, our inner person is being renewed day by day.
For our momentary light affliction is producing for us an absolutely incomparable eternal weight of glory.
So we do not focus on what is seen, but on what is unseen.
For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
And that is my message for all of you.
With you into this week, whatever you're facing.
Sometimes we're facing things that we don't want to admit even to ourselves.
Sometimes an affliction can be so great that we even have a difficulty comprehending what it is, why it's happening.
More or less the people around us who we love and want to bring in and have difficulty with it.
But let's first go to God.
Let's first ask Him to strengthen us through this.
Light affliction that's momentary, if you look at it in the grand scheme of things, and trust that it will produce in us an absolutely incomparable eternal weight of glory.
So this week, I want your focus to be not on what is seen, but what is unseen.
And I want you to remember that what we see around us today is temporary.
What we are facing is temporary, but what we don't see, that is the eternal.
And that is where our focus must remain, even through all affliction.
So, if you guys haven't accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, I encourage you to open your heart, say a prayer, call upon His name.
And if you haven't yet, get baptized.
Immerse yourself in the water.
Let your old self die and be born again anew.
But that's where I'm going to leave it.
