The biggest story, though, is re-covering what we covered yesterday, but in more detail with more of the facts that have come out.
Just strange, strange facts surrounding this story about Nancy Pelosi's husband being beaten.
Almost to death in his home in San Francisco while Nancy was out of town of course with a man that police found...
In his underwear, we're going to talk about that and how it looks exactly like the opposite of what the fake news is reporting it as right now, and that's why we have to cover it.
We're also going to touch on the Ukraine conflict, some updates on some major stories with the Ukraine-Russian war, and including the fact that Russians were apparently spying on the personal cell phone of the former Prime Minister of Great Britain, the UK. We're going to look at that story.
Yeah, it's a big one.
Plus, we're going to get into a bunch of other news stories.

You know, we all want to go get to the rest of everything we have to do, but that's not to say that we're going to neglect in covering these stories starting here.
Greg Kelly, one of the fearless not-fake-news reporters, has went there questioning the narrative of Paul Pelosi being beaten by a Berkeley man in his underwear – This is crazy.
So as reported earlier, according to sources, Paul Pelosi's attacker is a 42-year-old Berkeley resident, nudist, apparently, David DePape.
And they say DePape was booked on charges of attempted homicide, assault with a deadly weapon.
Now this is the interesting one.
Elder abuse...
Hmm, that's an interesting charge.
Burglary and several additional felonies.
the husband of Nancy Pelosi.
He was apparently hospitalized and went under brain surgery, but apparently he and the suspect were hospitalized, which is an interesting turn because why was the suspect hospitalized?
If he's the one who hit him over the head with a hammer and he was apparently the aggressor and they both seem to be fine when police arrived, it doesn't make sense.
This is starting to look like a cover-up and we're going to talk about why.
The reported attack took place at 2.20 in the morning and apparently Depepe was in his underwear when police arrived.
Okay, so here it is.
And then it goes on to talk about here what Greg Kelly was asking.
Some very interesting questions.
First off, he gives the World Health Organization.
So you know it's validated.
It's real.
So before they say fake news, this is according to the World Health Organization.
Elder abuse is when a single or repeated act or lack of appropriate action occurring within any relationship where there is an expectation of trust which causes harm or distress to an older person.
So how do you charge somebody with elder abuse if this is just some random You know, person who just broke into the house in the middle of the night that he didn't know Well, now this story's starting to get very interesting, okay?
So we're having a charge of elder abuse, and when you look at the definition, according to World Health Organization, which we know is the most trustworthy organization, according to YouTube and all of the, you know, big tech, you know, oligarchs and then fake news liars, that that's the most trusted.
There has to be an expectation of trust in the relationship, okay?
Okay, okay.
Greg Kelly asks a few very important questions.
Okay.
First off, they called this a priority well-being check, right?
That's what they called it when they talked about the response they gave to this residence after the supposed break-in, right?
Air quotes there.
Greg Kelly asked some interesting questions here.
Let's hear what he has to say.
He says this.
What is an A priority?
Well, being checked, it typically means someone is worried about an individual and makes a call to police.
So, this doesn't sound like the police were called from within the residence, and it sounds like a neighbor heard this and called the police.
Okay, another one.
Why we're both holding the hammer and what's happening?
Police didn't say they were struggling.
So police didn't tell us that they were struggling.
It's just been inferred that they were struggling.
And it's also been reported that...
They both had the hammer, and in fact, it's been reported that Nancy Pelosi's husband, Paul, had the hammer when police arrived, and then after police arrived, DePepe took the hammer from him and assaulted him with it.
Okay, interesting.
It goes on and says, why did the assailant David DePepe need to go to the hospital?
What were his injuries?
That's another great question.
What were his injuries?
How was he hurt in all of this?
That's a very interesting question.
The SFPD are working with the DOJ, FBI, Capitol Police, and San Fran District Attorney, and these are all very liberal organizations.
So why is the DOJ and FBI and Capitol Police and the San Francisco District Attorney all in on this?
With the police, presumably.
Sounds like a cover-up.
Sounds like something was going on there.
That's not very good.
We're going to talk about some theories in a second.
Another one here.
The motive for the attack is still being determined.
Seems strange.
Police does not mention the man screaming out Nancy's name.
So apparently all of these reports we saw yesterday were talking about how the man was saying, where's Nancy?
Or we're going to wait until Nancy gets here.
Now...
What if...
Well, let's wait.
We'll get into the theories here in a second.
I'm going to tell you some of the theories that are bouncing around online, which are insane but believable, unfortunately.
And I want to preface this also to say that I don't wish anyone harm, and it's sad that people are engaged in sick things and then they get hurt.
I don't want that for any of these people.
I want them to find God and turn their lives around, so let's just be very clear about that.
But we have to ask questions about this.
This is an important story, and they're already trying to manipulate it to say it's MAGA Republicans and Joe Biden's already blaming the Republicans.
Yeah, we'll talk about that.
It's crazy, but yes, we'll talk about it.
It says, why was the man in his underwear?
What's going on?
Well, that's a good question.
Why was he in his underwear?
Why would a man be in his underwear inside of Nancy Pelosi's husband's home at 2 in the morning?
What could they be doing?
What do two men do in their underwear when they're together in the middle of the night?
I don't know.
Can't even think of a thing.
And finally, DePappe was charged with elder abuse.
The crime typically involves any relationship where there is an expectation of trust.
Did the two know each other?
These are all great questions, Greg Kelly.
And those are just the questions that you can ask on the fake news, right?
As much as, you know, Greg Kelly's probably done a good job at, you know, reporting on all of this, you can't really go too deep on all these things.
But there are some interesting things popping around the internet.
Somebody named JustFacts...
With a few fives and fours, is reporting this over on Twitter.
Now, again, this is what the allegations are.
This is what is alleged to have happened.
This has not been confirmed or being reported by any major outlets yet.
Yet.
And it may, but it may not.
So take it with a grain of salt.
But this is what they're saying online.
David DePape tells investigators that he and Paul Pelosi...
We're engaging in gay sex, and an argument ensued over drugs.
Pelosi's are refusing to turn over surveillance video of their home, fueling more speculation of homosexuality at the home, and DePape has arrests for male prostitution.
I don't know if any of that's confirmed yet, but I'm just telling you, that's what's floating around online.
Okay.
Hmm.
Would it not make sense?
Yeah, it actually would.
Let's see a few other things here.
Here's one from an anon over on the 4chan boards.
Here's a quote from an article saying, The San Francisco police responded to a break-in at the Pelosi residence at 2.27 a.m.
on Friday, Chief William Scott said in a news conference, the assailant, who pulled a hammer from Mr.
Pelosi and violently attacked him in front of police officers, will be charged with attempted homicide, the chief said.
here's what the Anon says.
You're onto something, Anon.
Let's analyze the timeline.
New York Times says the police were called at 2.27 a.m. to the Pelosi address for a break-in.
They arrive, and Pelosi is standing there with a hammer across from the intruder, David DePape.
Pepe then grabs the hammer from Pelosi and hits him with it, at which time the police tackled and arrested him.
The police are called to the home of the Speaker of the House, and they don't instantly tase-shoot the intruder, who by all means is an assassin, they'd have to presume, I guess.
They even allow him to grab a hammer and beat Paul Pelosi right in front of them.
The only way this should make sense is if they knew that Pelosi was gay and or they were called to a domestic disturbance and therefore were trying to settle an argument rather than arrest the intruder.
And Neon Revolt had some observation here where it says, so Paul Pelosi hired a home with a hammer.
That's pretty much the gist of it now.
And Neon kind of clarifies here, saying, some of you don't understand the implication, so I'll have to spell it out for you.
The implication is that Paul Pelosi hired a male prostitute.
The two got into an argument, and the prostitute cracked open his skull and broke his arm.
And the MSM is trying to blame it, blame MAGA for it.
And yes, they are, folks.
They are.
It's our fault.
It's conservative America's fault that Paul Pelosi was engaged in this kind of thing.
Possibly.
Allegedly.
Other weird things about all of this.
Again, they talk about here in this headline, why was he in his underwear?
Nobody's really giving us a good answer on that one.
It says that the man waited until police arrived and he was in his underwear and beat Paul Pelosi over the head.
And then this one's even more interesting here.
San Francisco Police Dispatcher describes David as a friend in Pelosi House Call Audio.
And I just so happen to have the audio from the police dispatch right now.
As they report...
The crime ongoing.
Watch.
Just listen to this.
Tell me this doesn't sound like the guy was in some kind of gay relationship and police got called.
Just listen to this, how they describe it.
Which this also goes in the front of it, because this actually sounds like it's Paul Pelosi who reported this.
But now it could have been that there was some third party involved that we don't even know about.
But watch.

R.P. stated that there's a male in the home and that he's going to wait for his wife.
R.P. stated that he doesn't know who the male is, but he advised that his name is David and that he is a friend.
R.P. sounded somewhat confused.
Is a friend?

I don't know if you heard that, but they said they reported that the man was there, the assailant was, or the person's name is David, and that he is a friend.
So, now, to be honest, you know, you could imagine a scenario where this guy breaks in in the middle of the night, And Paul Pelosi is confronted or shocked by this guy being there, and he's calling the police, and he's standing across from the guy, and he doesn't want to agitate him because he's maybe in an agitated state, and he says, yeah, he's my friend, David.
Could you come help me?
I could understand that.
But then if you factor in all the other weird things about this, it doesn't quite make sense.
And this sounds like it may have been a domestic violence situation between these two.
And the fact that they're using elder abuse and all that stuff is crazy.
So here's another interesting one.
The FBI visited the Berkeley home tied to Pelosi beating suspect.
The Victorian is dubbed a hippie collective where you can see a rainbow American flag.
So...
I mean, they're telling us that this is a QAnon, MAGA, conservative nutjob, and it's like, wait, not sure I'm buying it with the rainbow flags in the front yard, but this is the narrative they're shifting to already.
So yesterday, let's see what yesterday's narrative was.

So yesterday's narrative was, Now, let's go through some possible scenarios here.
What could have happened?
Well, in my humble opinion, it's very reasonable to infer that, let's say, Paul Pelosi went out, found some hooker, And I'm not saying that this guy is a hooker or anything.
I'm not trying to get sued or anything.
I'm just saying, let's hypothetically play this out here and make some inferences based on what may have happened and say, a guy goes out to find a gay hooker for drugs or whatever for some gay hookup.
Okay.
As evil as that is, okay.
Then brings him back to his house.
They get into a scuffle.
This guy, he doesn't know that this guy is like a blogger.
Let's say he is a conspiracy person who's looked up conspiracies and studies them.
And even if he's some raging lefty, maybe he's a lefty libertarian lunatic.
I don't know.
But the point is, he figures out that Paul Pelosi is Nancy Pelosi's husband, and then things go downhill from there.
They start fighting with each other.
Paul calls the police.
He tells them to get out of his house.
The guy says, no, I'm staying here, blah, blah, blah.
Then it de-escalates or goes into what we saw with the hammer and the beading.
That's just one theory, but they are reporting that this guy had a blog where he was writing all this stuff, but look at what the story is today.
So today the story is shifting.
The spin media, their spin cycle in the news, but they're running 24-7 right now to try to spin this story because Nancy Pelosi, they've got to protect their token figurehead.
She's being protected now.
This is the news story.
Here's the news story.
Media narrative suddenly shifts to Nancy Pelosi being the intended victim of the home attack.
Well, isn't that interesting?
Sources are telling mainstream media reporters that the attacker who broke into the house of Speaker Nancy Pelosi's home was screaming, where is Nancy, before attacking Paul Pelosi.
And Nancy Pelosi was in D.C. at the time of the attack.
So we're told the assailant was trying to tie up the Speaker's husband until Pelosi got home.
Now...
If that's the spin they're putting on it now, it's not only that that's the spin they're putting on it, but think about what they're trying to do.
It could be a whole myriad of different things.
It's not necessarily that this guy was trying to go after Nancy Pelosi and then happened to find Paul.
What if he was there with Paul and they got into a spat and then he said, I'm not leaving until your wife comes home, Nancy, because...
Who knows?
Maybe they're in some kind of lover's quarrel.
Maybe they've known each other.
Maybe he's frequently been with this person.
I don't know.
But I'll tell you this at this point.
It's interesting to see the narratives keep shifting.
And this was the picture I referenced yesterday where you have the window where the break-in supposedly occurred.
Now...
A few things you'll note about this.
Now, I'm no crime expert when it comes to CSI or any of that stuff, crime scene investigation, but I do know a few things about crime scenes and how they should look.
And what looks weird about this one, right off the bat, is not anything other than the fact that if you look at the window, doesn't the window look like it was broken from the inside out?
Wouldn't that not make sense if it was a home invasion?
Think about it.
If I'm an attacker and I'm going up to a door, would I hit the window from the outside?
Yes, I would.
I would have to if I was coming from the outside in.
And where would most of the glass go?
Well, most of the glass would go, if not all of it, would go to the inside of the house where the impact came from.
It would go toward the inside of the house, away from where the impact came from.
This looks like a lot of glass here on the ground.
Now, granted, there could be some glass on the inside and outside, and that could just be a little bit of spillover from wherever it came from.
But it just struck me as this looking like somebody was staging it to look as though there was a break-in.
Now, imagine this, right?
What if, let's just play it out here.
What if Paul Pelosi has this gay prostitute, possible, alleged, we're not sure, gay prostitute over his house, they're doing drugs, doing all types of debauchery, disgusting things, then...
They realize police are coming.
Maybe he gets a heads up from somebody in the department.
They have some sort of system where they can know if police have been called.
Maybe a neighbor hears a shouting match and they're yelling at each other.
It's getting heated.
They're doing something crazy.
Neighbors are calling.
We need to have the police go check it out.
So the police are on their way.
They realize the police are on their way.
And then what does Paul Pelosi do?
He gets a hammer.
He runs to the back window, smashes the window out.
I don't know who this guy is.
He broke into my house.
I don't know who he is.
David DePape is standing there saying, I've been here.
I was invited here.
I'm here with him.
We're doing this gay thing together.
Who knows if drugs are involved or alcohol or whatever.
And then they're having an argument and the police are like, this is weird.
These guys seem to know each other.
It doesn't sound right.
How is this guy breaking in?
Nothing felt right.
So then in some fit of rage, this DePape guy grabs the hammer that Paul Pelosi used to break out the back window to make it look like he had broken into their house.
And then you see how that all ensues there.
Then he takes the hammer, hits Paul Pelosi in a fit of rage over the fact that he's being cast as this person who broke in when he was really invited in.
It's like, could you see how this all looks?
And it all fits a certain set of criteria for people that you would imagine would be with these kind of people.
Paul Pelosi, alleged attacker David DePape, described as a monster, quote unquote, who sexually abused his kids.
That's according to his stepdaughter, this woman right here.
And he also lived in a school bus in front of his girlfriend's home, which I don't know if we have.
Here it is.
Or I don't even know.
sigh sigh And he was an anti-Semite too, guys.
In case you didn't see it right here, DeBabe features an anti-Semitic message.
So, he was also an anti-Semite.
Never forget that, because they had to put that in there.
But, yeah, I think that's what happened, but I don't know.
I'm just saying it sounds about right.
Sounds like that's exactly what happened.
Sounds like Paul, why would Paul have the hammer?
Paul had the hammer because he was breaking out the back window to make it look like there was a break-in so that when the police got there, it wouldn't just be him arguing with some gay hooker in his house over drugs.
He could be like, I don't know where this guy came from.
Look at my window.
It's broken.
Even though the window looks like it was broken from the inside out.
And now they're going to cover all of this up.
Because you think they're going to let the truth come out on this if that's really what happened?
No.
Are you kidding?
Somebody with as much juice as Nancy Pelosi does, as much blackmail as she probably has on half of Congress and the DOJ and the FBI. Yeah, I don't think they're going to let this one fly.
But at least we saw it for what it is.

While this invasion is ongoing, the news reports indicate it was intended to be an attack on the house that Nancy Pelosi lives in, the third-ranking person in the United States in line to be president.

According to the invasion, he said invasion, not investigation.
According to the invasion, They were there to see Nancy Pelosi and the house.
The house that she lived in.
And the house where she's third in charge.
The house of representatives.

So if it turns out that this was some gay romp with a homosexual prostitute over in a drug or alcohol-fueled rage where Pelosi's husband faked a break-in to lie to police about his gay homosexual relationship, Do you think Joe will ever correct this, or are we just going to leave this one on the record?
I think I know the answer to that, but...

And what makes us think that one party can talk about stolen elections, COVID being a hoax, there's all a bunch of lies, and it not affect People who may not be so well-balanced.

Every person of good conscience needs to clearly and unambiguously stand up against the violence in our politics, regardless of what your politics are.

What makes you think that you can talk about that that way and get away with it?

And what is he saying?
What does COVID being a hoax have to do with Nancy Pelosi's husband and some possibly gay prostitute?

What does it have to do with anything?
And that the election was stolen.
What does that have to do with anything?
Hmm.
I don't know, guys.

You know, and I do have a good feeling Jay Prime says this, and I usually save the chat for the end, but this is a good point.
Jay Prime just said, are they going to say David succumbed to his injuries in the hospital?

We're praying for them.
We're optimistic for his full recovery.
Well, let's just say I don't hate these people.
I, as a Christian, I genuinely don't want these people to get hurt or to die or any of this crazy stuff.
But I'll say this, that you reap what you sow in this life.
And if you're engaged in evil, then don't be surprised when bad things happen.
And the fact that we're being told by A demented, corrupt, treasonous, traitor, possible child molester Joe Biden, right?
That, you know, being lectured on morals and morality, it's like...
Excuse me, you're the last person on earth who should be lecturing anybody about morality ever, in any situation, any time ever, and truth ever.
The biggest liar there ever was in Joe Biden.
So these people, they're the biggest liars, the most immoral, corrupt, and disgusting sick, and they're the ones lecturing us on what it means to have morality and civility and all these things.
And it's like, it's just a joke.
These people are a joke, but...
Don't worry because remember what the biggest threat to our democracy is.
And if you need a reminder, I'll let AOC remind you what the biggest threat to our democracy is that they're not going to stop reminding us of pretty much in perpetuity forever because of the color of our skin.
If you're a certain color, if you know what I mean.

Also, really having to acknowledge a very central fact that reporting from the FBI and even in terms of Homeland Security, Jamie and I sit and he is the chair and I'm the vice chair of the House Oversight Subcommittee on Civil Rights and Civil Liberties and we've held hearings on this and there is absolutely no doubt that the data shows that That the vast majority of incidents of domestic terror come from white nationalism.
And that we are really, truly facing an environment of fascism.
And in the United States of America, this type of intimidation at the polls brings us to Jim Crow.
It brings us back and harkens back to a very unique form of American apartheid that is not that long past ago.
And we have never fully healed from it.
And those wounds threaten to rip right back open if we do not strongly defend democracy in the United States of America.
What do I say?
What do you say to that?
These people have lost their minds.
They're just gone.
It's like, bye-bye.
You're not living in the reality that exists.
You're living in a fantasy delusion, and you're telling us that there's an American apartheid now.
Oh, because we want fair elections.

We want fair elections, therefore it's an American apartheid and white extremist nationalism, domestic terror, blah blah blah.
It doesn't matter.
It's all lies and it's all theater.
It's all kabuki.
It's all meant to divide and conquer.
It's meant to make people hate each other based on the color of their skin and make you hate one another because you don't think like these psychopaths do.
The fact is they are crazy, they have lost their minds, and they are dangerous, dangerous individuals.

All right, let's get into a few other news stories.
Let's see.
First off here...
Update on Ukraine.
Ukraine and Russia.
Russia is suspending participation in a Ukraine grain deal after a massive drone attack on a Black Sea fleet.
So apparently they had this deal where there was a safe corridor from which Russia could send grain to Ukraine or out of Ukraine to basically, you know, make sure that this was continuing because we know Ukraine's like a breadbasket, especially for Europe.
But apparently there was a massive drone swarm that targeted at least one Russian ship.
And now the Russians have backed out.
So Moscow immediately suspended its compliance with the deal.
It was known as the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
It was formed in July and ended a five-month Russian blockade on Ukraine's ports.
But...
No more.
So that's been overturned as we have this story coming out in the immediate aftermath of all that.
Liz Truss, the former prime minister, the one who just stepped down, apparently her phone, according to this report, the Mail.co, Mail Plus, says Truss's phone was hacked by Putin's spies for top secret information.
suspected of working for Russian President Vladimir Putin, they gained access to top secret details of conversations that were had between top ranking officials in how they were going to be dealing with the Russian war, the Russia-Ukraine war.
So that just goes to tell you, maybe there's a little bit more inside baseball and why Liz Truss is no longer in that position.
As Russia's come out with a new accusation, which I find very fascinating here, they're accusing the British Navy now of the Nord Stream terrorist attack.
So apparently representatives of this unit in the British Navy took part in the planning, provision, and implementation of a terrorist attack in the Baltic Sea on September 26th this year, blowing up the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines.
This is what the ministry said from Russia.
So, look, it stands to reason that now Russia's been gone from, you know, going after America to now going after the UK, pulling them into this.
We'll see how that all plays out, but that's kind of your updates on everything that's happening in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
That just gives you a few more ideas where we're at.
Now, in other news, to kind of follow up on that AOC clip we just watched, the leak from the FBI now has a pamphlet that lists misinformation and disinformation as election crimes.
Yep.
According to Project Veritas, this is an agency whistleblower lists misinformation and disinformation as election crimes.
Uh-oh.
Does that mean that everything the Democrats are saying, like every ad they've put out for the past six months to a year or so or longer, should be considered a crime?
Maybe we should be investigating that.
But that's what they're saying now, as we have, speaking of mis- and disinformation and the thought police here...
Marxist medical boards are stripping Dr.
Peter McCullough of his medical credentials for speaking the truth about the COVID vaccine.
One of the most respected doctors in the world and top cardiologists and epidemiologists in the country had his license revoked for speaking the truth about the danger of COVID vaccines.
Dr.
McCullough is an internist, cardiologist, and epidemiologist who testified to the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs in November of 2020.
McCullough is a cardiologist and was vice chief of internal medicine at Baylor University Medical Center and a professor at Texas A&M University.
McCullough is editor-in-chief of the Journal's Reviews of Cardiovascular Medicine, Cardio-Renal Medicine.
He was and is an advocate for early COVID treatment that included hydroxychloroquine.
He's been right about everything, including about the pandemic.
So apparently he has basically had his credentials revoked.
That's the world we live in.
So sad, but true.
So I just thought I'd point that out because I actually appreciate Dr. McCullough and his work.
I've been following it and I, I just find it disgusting.
What they, they, what they do to these people.
Lockdown Foxconn employees in iPhone city are scuffling over food rations after COVID outbreak.
You can't make this stuff up.
It's really crazy.
They don't have videos or pictures of it.
But Foxconn's Zhengzhou campus has about 300,000 workers, and they've all been banned from eating in public and must take meals back to their dorms for consumption.
This is after a massive outbreak of COVID was reported in the factory.
So they've been essentially locked.
Could you imagine that?
This is what they want to bring to the West.
These people are being locked in their jobs and being forced to stay there and live in dorms because of COVID. That's what they want to do with us guys.
But in kind of a...
Explainer as to why AOC and Jamie Raskin chose MSNBC and Chris Hayes' program to go on and talk about the American apartheid that comes from, you know, white nationalist domestic terrorists, right?
This story tells you a lot about it.
MSNBC used the word fascist 1,614 times in 2022.
I'm not sure if that's an exact number, but it sounds pretty exact.
And it makes sense because they think everything, anyone who disagrees with them is a fascist.

Could you imagine World War II? Your grandfather, your great-grandfather is storming the beaches at Normandy and you pull out a phone and you're from the future and you show them this video and you say, this is what you will fight and die for today.
What do you think they would say?
They'd turn around and go back on the boat and say, let it be.
I'm out of here.
That's what we fought for, ladies and gentlemen.
That's what this is all about.
We're fighting for that right there.
And I'm being facetious, obviously, but it's just crazy.
Mental illness is an understatement.
It's an understatement.
These people are deranged.
And that's pretty much where we're going to leave it.
We're just going to jump right into our God's Grace is Greater segment today.
Speaking of demented demons that have really, really taken this world by storm, but it's not something new.
This has existed for a long time, and Jesus even encountered demons in his day.
And when he was alive, at least when he was in human form, he is still alive today, but he is risen always.
But when he was in human form with his disciples, this is a story about him driving out not just one demon, but a legion of demons.
And it's a powerful story from the book of Mark and the gospel of Mark.
We're going through the whole gospel of Mark.
We started in Matthew, the first gospel.
We went through all of Matthew.
Now we're in Mark.
We're in chapter 5.
We're starting chapter 5 today.
And the beginning of chapter 5 in Mark is talking about Jesus driving out a legion of demons and showing, An important lesson in this story as well.
So let's read through it, talking about how not only did we experience demons, not only did we experience them here in our time all around us, and there is real evil, but that it's not something new.
This is something that Jesus fought, and this is why Jesus died.
To save us for eternal salvation, to give us eternal salvation, to spare us of this evil that exists.
So let's read through it, and let's go ahead and talk about it, right?
So here is chapter 5 of Mark.
We're starting here.
We're going to read the first 20 verses.
It says, Now remember where we left off yesterday.
We left off yesterday and it was pretty much where Jesus had essentially tamed the ocean.
They were crossing the Sea of Galilee to the eastern side to go and visit the Gentiles.
Jesus had been—he was expanding his ministry to the Gentiles, and he goes to this other side of the sea.
I think it was a place called Gerasenes, which is a part of a Gentile enclave there that they were visiting.
And this is what happens after Jesus tamed the sea with just words— He spoke to the sea, rebuked it, and it fell.
And we left off with him asking his disciples, why do you still have no faith?
Not saying, why did you lose your faith?
Why do you still have no faith?
Is what he says to his disciples, meaning they didn't have faith yet because they didn't understand the power of Jesus.
They were still figuring it out.
And in this example, they're still figuring it out as well.
This is Jesus showing his power and his power not just over man but over the demons as well here.
Watch this.
It says, Then they came to the other side of the sea, to the region of the Gerasenes.
As soon as he got out of the boat, a man with an unclean spirit came out of the tombs and met him.
He lived in the tombs.
No one was able to restrain him anymore, even with chains, because he often had been bound with shackles and chains, but he had snapped off the chains and smashed the shackles.
No one was strong enough to subdue him, and always, night and day, he was crying out among the tombs and in the mountains and cutting himself with stones.
When he saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and knelt down before him, and he cried out with a loud voice, What do you have to do with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God?
I beg you, before God, don't torment me.
For he told him, Come out of the man, you unclean spirit.
What is your name?
He asked him, My name is Legion, he answered, because we are many.
And he kept begging him not to send them out of the region.
Now a large herd of pigs was there feeding on the hillside.
The demons begged him, Send us to the pigs so we may enter them.
And he gave them permission.
Then the unclean spirits came out and entered the pigs, and the herd of about 2,000 rushed down the steep bank into the sea and drowned there.
The men who tended them ran off and reported it in town, in the town and the countryside.
And people went to see what had happened.
They came to Jesus and saw the man who had been demon-possessed by the Legion sitting there dressed and in his right mind.
And they were afraid.
The eyewitnesses described to them what had happened to the demon-possessed man and told them about the pigs.
Then they began to beg him to leave their region.
As he was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed kept begging him to be with him, but he would not let him.
Instead, he told him, Go back home to your own people and report to them how much the Lord has done for you and how he has had mercy on you.
So he went out and began to proclaim in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him, and they were all amazed.
Wow.
So there's a few things we can take out of this story that we're being given about Jesus driving out this legion of demons.
The first thing is, when Jesus arrives, their first encounter as they get off the boat is with this man who's possessed not by one demon, not by two demons, but by a legion of demons.
Now, back in those days, a legion was a term that could have been given to like a Roman infantry, a set number of infantrymen.
It was about, what, 6,000 soldiers, as far as I know, historically speaking.
And in this instance, when the demon realizes, first off, this is a demon-possessed man who can't be tamed.
They've chained him, they've shackled him, they've tried to lock him up, but he keeps escaping, it says here, this great detail that Mark gives us, that the people can't subdue him, he was too strong to even be subdued, and that he would cry out night and hurt himself, cutting himself with stones, as it's written here.
But as soon as the man possessed by the legion of demons sees Jesus, even from a far distance, he runs directly to him and begs, begs Jesus, after recognizing that he was the Son of God, the Most High, he begs him not to torment him, and he begs him to not send them out of the region.
Now, the way the text is interpreted here, it could be easily inferred that what the man, the legion of demons was begging Jesus for was not to not send them out of the region as far as out of the place, but to not send them basically to the bottomless pit of hell, right?
Back to hell.
That seems to be what they were begging Jesus not to do.
So Jesus, when they, Jesus sees a herd of pigs.
First off, this is the first clue that we're not in Jewish territory anymore.
We're in Gentile territory because Jews were not allowed to eat pork.
So you have a herd of about 2,000 pigs that were right by this man and Jesus and their interaction happening.
So the man who's possessed by the legion of demons, the legion of demons asked Jesus to allow them to go into the pigs, and Jesus grants them that permission, says, yes, you can go to the pigs.
And immediately what happens?
They go into the pigs, and then the pigs run off a cliff, and they're all killed immediately.
Now that's what happens to evil in this world when it's confronted by God and the Son of God, Most High Jesus.
So that tells you how powerful Jesus truly is in this story.
We're getting the full scope and scale of how powerful Jesus is, right?
Now, it goes on to talk about the fact that the men who tended the pigs ran off and they told everyone what happened in the city.
Now, this is a Gentile city and they've just heard about Jesus driving out a legion of demons into pigs that have been killed.
What is their reaction?
Do they come to Jesus and say, Lord, Messiah, Most High, forgive us, save us, heal us?
No, that's not their reaction.
Their reaction is actually pretty much what you would expect.
They're terrified.
They are fearful.
They're afraid.
But they're also, I would say, probably a bit angry.
Imagine.
These people were going to eat these pigs.
2,000 pigs could have fed a lot of people for a very long time, and this is a huge financial hit.
This is a large sum of money that's been lost almost entirely instantly because of Jesus arriving.
So not only are they fearful, but you could almost sense the anger because they say they begged Jesus to leave them, to leave them alone.
In their minds, they've just lost.
Instead of having gained the Messiah and gained this powerful savior that has come to save and rescue them, Instead of recognizing the power of Jesus to drive out those demons from that man who they see sitting there fully dressed and completely normal and realize he's been healed, they don't see the gift and the blessing that it is.
They ignore it.
They reject it.
And they say, Jesus, leave us.
Leave us alone.
Just leave us alone.
Because they were afraid because they couldn't recognize the power of God in Jesus.
So Jesus is getting back on his boat to leave as they wished.
And finally, the man who was possessed with the legion of demons begs Jesus to come with him.
But instead, Jesus gives him a task.
Jesus tells him, go back to your own people and report to them how much the Lord has done for you and how he has had mercy on you.
And that is the power of what Jesus knew in the foresight.
He knew I need to leave now because these people are terrified, but I'm going to leave this man here who I've healed, who I've driven the demons out of, and he can be a seed that will spread my word out into the world.
So sometimes that just shows you, I think, that Jesus knows, God knows, that There's different ways to solve every situation.
And in some situations, even if it feels like Jesus has left, maybe he's left one of us behind to tell how great he is to those who don't believe, knowing that we must sow the seeds.
It's not just on Jesus.
It's on all of us to sow the seeds for the kingdom, to share the gospel out into the world, to help others see the power of Christ and to not be fearful of it.
Jesus teaches us to not fear.
To have faith over fear.
To have belief.
To have the smallest seed of true faith in our hearts that's sown by the gospel, by the word of Christ, by the power of Christ.
We can move a mountain.
He teaches us that.
And we will do it.
So that's my message to all of you out there.
I hope that that speaks to your heart.
And if you're going through a time where you feel like Jesus has left, maybe he's left you to spread his word of good things that have happened in your life, even though you've had to suffer.
And even if you're suffering right now, he's still with you always.
He never truly leaves.
He never truly leaves, but maybe he's given you a chance to share his word.
And that's the way we have to look at these things, I believe, especially when we face persecution, affliction, trials, all of these things.
Jesus is never going to leave us, but he may let us be the one to spread his gospel, to share the good news, to share how we were saved.
And even if our saving was a long time ago and we feel like we've lost our way, recenter yourself on Jesus and remember that God loves you.
He loved you enough to not only keep you alive to now, where you're at, wherever you are, but also to have his son die for your eternal salvation.
And if that's not a gift worth giving everything for and sharing out into the world, I don't know what is.
So that's my message to all of you.
And I hope that you take that and share that with your family and friends and others.
And remember that God is with you always.
But maybe He's left you to be the one to share that word farther.
Maybe He's left you for the moment, but He's never truly left you.
He's been with you in spirit, but maybe He's not standing exactly where you want Him to stand at that moment.
Remember.
God gives us the power to do great things if we believe and have true faith.
We can move mountains.
Jesus told us that.

We're grateful for this story you've given us of the power of our Lord and Savior Jesus to drive out an entire legion of demons to do great things to help others.
Lord, sometimes when we see the power of Jesus, it can be frightening.
It can cause us to have fear in our hearts to see how amazingly powerful he is through you, Lord.
Let us relinquish that fear.
And hold on to the faith.
Let us sow the good seeds of the word in our heart and use that to go and tell the greatness of God into the world.
Even if you're not exactly where we want you to be, Lord, at this moment, we know you are where you need to be, where you decided you need to be to help us most.
And Lord, let us go boldly into the world and proclaim your greatness to others as we Lord, we give thanks for everything you've given us, and we pray that for everyone out there who's suffering or needed to hear this message, that it spoke to them in a way that opened their heart up and showed them the new way forward in you.
Lord, we thank you for this day and every day.
Please give us the courage, strength, and wisdom to be your most humble servants.
And we thank you most of all for our eternal salvation, bought and paid for by the blood of Christ on the cross.
In Jesus' name we pray.
Amen.
